20 Best 285/75R16 All Terrain Tires (2022 Updated)

This is the first time I have ever written a review for ANY product. I have been buying these tires for years! Probably 5 set over 10 years. My current set is on 2018 GMC 1500 Denali. They have 39,456 mile on them and have only been rotated once at 20000 miles.

The wear is perfectly flat. I am vigilant about tire pressure. (42 psi in the front and 32 psi in rear) Living in North Western Pennsylvania we see every weather category there is. My current tires will easily pass PA vehicle inspection.

My only complaint, which is complimentary of an aggressive tire, is that they create road noise and noise has been getting worse since 35000 miles. I am going to rotate and see if noise gets better. Plan to buy again and again.

I bought my 2500 had Chevy with these tires on it and they were in good shape but not brand new. 50,000 miles later, I’m finally replacing them! A large amount of those miles done pulling my fifth wheel camper and gooseneck trailer.

I wish I would have measured the tread when I got the truck, I figured they “would be good for a while” but 50,000 miles later?! I would have never guessed that. 2 of the 4 I’m even going to keep as spares (I didn’t keep them rotated as much as I should.

I’m running a set of firestones HT’s I had laying around, but when it comes time to buy new tires, I’m probably going to buy these K02’s again. I can’t believe how long they lasted. The reviews mentioning tire wear must have had some horrific alignment issues.

3rd. time I buy Kenda Klevers! I knew the brand Kenda from my motorcycles and mountain bikes. The first time I bought the original “A/t” design I did not know what to expect. I loved them, my Tahoe was always sure footed and the tires never slipped off road to so when they wore out I bought a second set.

I needed tires again in 2021 and I was a bit hesitant when I saw they had changed the thread design to the new “A/t2”. Now, I actually like it even more than the originals! They work great on all surfaces and look nice and more aggressive without being loud on the road like a mud tire.

Same great traction as the originals on all the surfaces I have encountered in Arizona. I kept the 2 least worn Klevers A/t from my previous set and mounted them on my off road trailer! once or twice I have had nails on the thread but were easily repaired and did not leave me stranded or even require me to change the tires, I could always drive to a shop to have it fixed.

These are rugged tires!.

I typically do not write reviews on products, but for these tires I am happy to review. I only have several miles on the set of four tires currently so I cannot rate on longevity. I did weeks of research for the “right” tires I wanted for my Toyota FJ Cruiser, but was left puzzled by too many opinions on the forums.

I finally just made the decision to go for it and picked these Kenda Klever tires. Honestly, best decision! They look and review as off road tough and ready for the Midwest weather. And they are every bit of that! Love the look, especially compared to the Wranglers previously on the FJC.

When it comes to road noise, I truly cannot tell a difference from the “standard” tires to these – basically the exact same noise level to me. When it comes to steering/control, I feel much more in control and can tell these tires make the difference.

When it comes to MPG, I cannot offer much here since the FJC already takes a liking to gas stations. I just know that I’m extremely happy with my purchase of these tires and hope this helps at least one other person who might be contemplating the same tire purchase.

The tires caught my eye because of the price, super cheap I thought to good to be true. The shipping was quick and the guys at Priority Tire kept me updated every step of the way giving me access to quick and easy links to track my order.

I couldn’t help myself, I had them put on the same day they came in and WOW! Ahaha it’s one things when your tires ride nice but it’s another when they completely change the ride of the vehicle. It’s made me fall in love with my truck all over again and the aggressive look help as well ! This tire is a Myth Buster when it comes to the saying “you get what you pay for” ! Over all I would recommend Thunderer as a tire manufacturer and Priority Tire as a tire retailer and distributor to anybody in the market looking for a great deal and a stress free experience!.

Was somewhat curious to see how these tires would do since they are not a well known tire manufacturer and the price was very reasonable. Mounted them at home with my dad with no issues whatsoever. Did not balance the tires.

They feel like they probably do need slight adjustment, but you should always expect to balance tires when you install them. I bought them for snow and year round use. They impressed me so much that I would highly recommended them to anyone.

I never need to use 4wd in light snow. We had some deep snow about a month back and they dug really well in it and 4wd was only needed when cutting a path, but I could have managed without. I have to fight in order to break them loose in light snow.

Used my truck with these tires to tow about 6000 pounds and have had no issues in that area either. My truck is a 2000 k2500 and it performs amazing with these tires. Makes me feel like I can go anywhere and not worry about being stuck.

These tires seem to be good quality, only had them on for about 600 miles or so, but they have a nice tread depth, are surprisingly quiet, and look nice. These seem to run a bit smaller, or at least look narrower than what I expected, but I am not complaining at this price point.

The balancing seems to have needed a lot of weight, but I believe it was a rushed mounting job. Overall, I recommend these if you want an aggressive All Terrain tire with a good warranty at a very reasonable price.

Not a high mile driver but do a fair mix of surfaces. Road noise seems same as day one “hardly noticeable”. Dry weather no worries. The improved ride comfort is still present. Wet weather driving grip was better than expected & still is, more than adequate, esp on a “Twitchy” S.

W. B Land-cruiser. Rough track grip good as from day one. They do pick-up stone & chippings but rubber still seems just as pliable & throws “most” back out. Worth an occasional check & pick. On/in Mud is OK long as right foot isn’t ruling the brain.

Soft`ish & a munchy grip, so i avoid side walling along kerbs. No big effort, cause I likes um a lot.

After breaking these in a bit, I have come to love these tyres. They aren’t too expensive, and handle quite well in the wet weather we have here in Queensland, both on and off road. They are also great for noise levels, as my previous tyres were quite noticeable at 80kmh+, but these only really start making noise at 105kmh on highways.

They also have a better climbing ability than my previous tyres allowing me to go up loose terrain in 2wd, rather than having to go to 4wd like my previous tyres, which had a more aggressive tread pattern.

They also handled towing a car trailer with an old V8 Holden much nicer, as they kept my car a bit more stable, resulting in the trailer also being more stable. Have yet to do extreme off road driving with these yet, but seeing how they have handled what I have thrown at them so far, I don’t see any real issues.

Flawless tire for my 1500 Pick Up and I don’t have any expectations for the price. These are snow rated A/T, so not a good option for latitude usage below 41 Degrees (roughly Iowa). These have a very aggressive tread, so don’t expect to have any problem hydroplaning/off pavement/over snow/ice.

The side walls are stout. Gas mileage suffers.

These look great on my 2017 Ram 1500. Quiet, smooth ride. Very happy so far. Only. have a couple hundred miles on them but so far super happy. $150 bucks was a good deal. Only negative so far is they have a strong rubber odor that’s prevelant in my garage but it’s starting to fade.

I replaced a set of mud terrains with these all terrains. The sidewalls are comparable to the m/ts they replaced, but the all terrain tread is more suitable for the highway. Tremendous difference immediately.

These were 30% less expensive than the m/ts they replaced, and as a 4 ply tire compared to 10 ply the gas mileage is about 10% better so far. The Falkens are warrantied for 55,000 miles, and I like that since I barely got 30k out of the Milestar m/ts.

Time will tell if they make it but I wont be surprised if they do. Great tires so far!.

Normally I wouldn’t do a review this early on a new set of tires. But, being these are a new release from Cooper and seeing there are limited reviews, I wanted to get the word out about my early experience with them, with just a few hundred miles on them.

I could not give them a 5-star rating yet for durability or treadwear because I have limited miles on them, but I’ll update this at a later date. My set is a 35×12. 50R20 (12-ply) and they are extremely aggressive for an AT/hybrid tire.

And much to my surprise, they are whisper quiet regardless of the speed I’m driving. I’ve yet to see a tire this aggressive, with such spacing between the tread blocks, that exhibits such little road noise.

Initially this 12-ply set rode a slight bit firmer when ran at the same air pressure as my previous 10-ply set. But after reducing tire pressure by about 5 more PSI, these tires ride and handle great.

They are actually smoother than my previous 10-ply tires (Toyo AT II Extreme, which were also noisier when new and didn’t have as good of traction). These Rugged Trek tires have very deep lugs and have large separation between even the center tread blocks, which makes for outstanding traction.

I was skeptical in reading about Cooper’s “whisper grooves”, but apparently they really do work because these tires are exceptionally quiet. The sidewall designs are aggressive and attractive (both sides) but yet aren’t over-the-top aggressive, which allows for easier cleaning when you’re done with your dirty work.

Traction so far is outstanding, though I’ve not had the opportunity yet to test them in deep snow or mud. It’s also surprising to me these aggressive tires carry a substantial mileage warranty. For someone like me who’s truck is an every day driver, this is the most balanced tire I’ve owned so far for traction, ride comfort, road noise and appearance.

As long as they wear well, this will be my new “go-to” tire. I am very confident these tires will become very popular in the near future, especially as Cooper expands the tire sizes available in this model, and as more people are looking for an aggressive all-purpose tire that can handle a tough weekend in the mountains while still providing everyday livability when commuting back and forth to work.

I wanted to love these tires. have had mixed luck with Cooper in the past. 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 I have had these tires for about 10k miles during which time I have rotated them three times through Discount Tire.

Prior to these tires, I had Duratracs and have run several different tires (Mastercraft MXT/CXT, BFG, Cooper, Mickey Thompsons, etc. in both All Terrain and Mud Terrain setup). These tires are as loud as a worn set of Cooper STT tires.

I have had my front end checked to ensure it wasn’t the truck and the guys at Discount were surprised at the cupping that is taking place based on the frequent rotating. I am running them at 35 psi as it’s an XL Tire and not a E-Rated Tire.

For the cost, they are a disappointment. I would recommend staying with Goodyear or BFG as they tend to last quite a bit longer before problems start. PROS: – Look great, aggressive tread pattern – Good traction in deeper snow, as expected or better on 1/4″ and slushy roads CONS: – With 10k miles, they have been rotated three times and are cupping – The noise level went from a 4 when new to a 10+ with 10k miles on them.

I have a set of these tires on my 2011 Dodge Dakota Big Horn and they look great. The sidewalls look good and they have a decent tread pattern and appear they will do fine in mud and snow. They’re not too loud on the highway and I feel safe and secure with these tires.

The price was reasonable so I’m happy. I purchased the lifetine balancing and rotation package, just $2. 00 more a tire and am glad that I did because they were not balanced properly the first time.

I did order a set of these tires from another vendor. However those tires paled in comparison to Priority tires. I needed a rear driver side tire replaced, previous vendor would not replace under warranty so I had to purchase another tire.

The new tire from you guys was a much better quality same name and size this tire is more aggressive, now I want the other 3 tires from Priority. Great Product !!.

This is the 3rd full set of Westlake tires I’ve bought for 3 different vehicles. I used to sell tires for another company for 20 years. My own opinion is that you can’t buy a better made tire than Michelin.

If you can afford them. Until I bought my first set of Westlake. A lot of people will touch and handle a new tire to try and get an idea if they are going to like them or not. I’m no different. Overall these tires are seem very well constructed.

Then next thing that points me in that direction is when they are balanced. I’ve now mounted and balanced 3 sets of Westlake tires. A set of standard load range B. A set of heavier load range E. And a set of All Terrains.

All 3 sets, on most of the tires only required one wheel weight on one side of the tire. Usually under 2 ounces. The others that required weights on inside and outside was about 2 ounces total. I also pay close attention to the UTQG ratings on the side of the tires.

The last set I mounted had a rating of over 500 for treadwear, which is outstanding. Traction was rated A and temperature was rated A as well. As a rule of thumb, and I may be wrong but it’s how I always figured it, was that the treadwear number you could double it and, under ideal conditions (keeping it aligned, balanced, rotated regularly and proper air pressure) the figure you come up with is how many miles you could expect.

In the case of the 500 rated tires, you could expect 100,000 miles from those tires. Traction is rated A, B or C. It’s the tires ability to stop, in a straight line on a wet road. “A” being the best.

Temperature is the tires ability to resist heat buildup while driving. Again “A” being the best. The A B C ratings doesn’t mean the C rated tires are junk, though. C is the minimum standard they all have to pass by government test standards.

The Westlake tires I’ve bought so far are the best riding and handling tires I’ve used in a long time. I wish all tires were made as good as this brand.

After looking at and comparing several different tires I chose these Atturo Trail Blades because of the treadwear, traction, and load rating on top of the excellent sale prices. I ordered and received them in the same week and got them mounded and balanced just before the weather took a turn for the worst, and have been very pleased and impressed by their performance.

Road noise is minimal and traction and ride quality are excellent! It snowed over 9 inches and I was able to drive anywhere and everywhere I wanted and needed to go without any trouble whatsoever. I truly doubt you’ll find a better tire for any price and I know you won’t find a better seller to deal with than SimpleTire! I put these on my 2010 Dodge pickup and bought another set and put on my 2019 Durango.

Fuel mileage didn’t change from original equipment tires even though these are a more aggressive tread, so I consider that a plus as well. Heavy rain or deep snow, these tires hold the road and give a feeling of confidence you’ll get where you’re going safe and sound.

I wouldn’t try forging through a swamp with these tires, but they do have bite enough for dirt and gravel or sandy county roads, and getting around in the occasional muddy pasture and off-road trail.

I’ve only locked in 4 wheel drive off-road 3 times since putting these tires on my truck, twice when crossing a creek and once going up a muddy hillside, whereas B. F. Goodrich all terrain tires that these Atturos replaced had me locking in 4 wheel drive nearly every time I drove through the gates into the fields if it had rained much at all.

On snow covered roads, I lock it up and just go. I’m sure I’ve upset more than one driver by passing them in an unplowed lane while they crept along at a turtle’s pace in the clear lane. After having driven on these tires for a while now I’m confident in where and how I can drive in any weather I encounter and I am also confident in recommending to anyone needing a set of all terrain tires to not only buy a set of the Atturo Trail Blades but also buy them from SimpleTire.

I’m very pleased that I did and think you will be too. They have great sidewall flex to absorb the small bumps, holes, and expansion seams in the roads yet don’t feel like they are going to roll off the bead in turns and curves.

You just have to remember these are all terrain and not all season tires with lower sidewalls that corner better at higher speeds, so don’t expect your truck or SUV to corner like a slot car and get frustrated when you have take a on-ramp or exit at a slower speed than the 55 or 45 aspect ratio tires with tread that was half as deep as these Atturo Trail Blades you are replacing your previous tires with.

I hope sharing my real world experience with these tires helps in your decision when buying all terrain tires. I’m very pleased with my choice of tires and the seller I purchased them from. As I stated previously above, I replaced a set BF Goodrich tires with these Atturo Trail Blades at HALF the cost and they perform every bit as well if not better.

The ONLY difference between the two that may or may not be something you have to think about is the Atturo Trail Blades do not have the raised white lettering that the Goodrich and some other brands offer.

Personally however, I prefer the black sidewalls over white lettering that can become a pain to keep looking bright if you should happen to live or drive often in the country or rural areas where the roads are gravel or just plain dirt that gets muddy every time it rains or snows.

I really thought these tires would perform well on my 2017 Ram 1500 (265/70/17) I was wrong. First, they are very loud. You can easily hear them at all speeds but very loud at around 40MPH. Secondly, I put these on at 53,000 miles (got that much from the original Goodyears that came with the truck).

I am at 69,000 and the tires barely pass inspection. Wear faster on the rear than front. Worn more in the middle of the tire than edges. Mechanic says likely because I have 40lbs in them which is what the truck calls for.

I will not be purchasing these again. Looking at a set of Coopers next. Probably should go back to the Goodyears, but they are a bit too expensive. But you get what you pay for I guess.

Finally got a few miles and some bad weather, so here’s the review. We bought these for our 2004 4×4 Tundra yard work and back country truck. Bought them because they were the most aggressive looking tread of the inexpensive tires and we wanted something good for towing the boat, a muddy yard and the occasional snow.

Turns out these Atturo Trail Blade A/T were the right call. We just had a half inch ice storm, followed by a 7-8 inch snow with drifting. Naturally, life dictated that we’ve had to travel in it a few times.

Tires did great! Really had to try to make them break traction and even when they did, the truck recovered instantly. Stable as all get out on hard pack snow, ice, slush and wet roads alike. Pushed right through 10 and 12 drifts and never spun a tire.

Never even had to put it in 4 wheel drive. Not once. These tires handle just as good as the High Country M/T tires they replaced and are far superior in the wet and snow. They balanced easily and are smooth up to 75mph or so.

Only down side is they ride slightly stiffer and are a little noisy on dry roads. Not obnoxious, but you will notice if you listen or have an older vehicle without much sound deadening. But you would expect both things in an all terrain tire with a higher load capacity.

Allin all, these tires made the old Toyota the most stable of the many vehicles I’ve driven in bad weather in my 65 years. Great Value!!!!!.

These tires are an excellent combination of traction tread and highway comfort. I had a chance to prove them in a 8 inch snow event and the tread gave me great traction, good self-cleaning, and when back on the highway an unbelievable quiet, and smooth ride.

There was no roar or vibration at all. They are an outstanding design. They handled a heavy load in the bed of the truck and a full trailer with good sidewall support. There was no sway around curves or that squishy spongy sensation on braking or acceleration.

The price was jaw dropping! I replaced name brand very expensive model tires with these. For 2/3 of the price of the major brand tires, I have better performance in every area and saved over $200!.

I needed new A/T tires but I was on a budget. Thought I’d have to buy used! Then I found tirebuyer. com! They were a delight to work with and my Ironman All Country A/T tires were shipped to my installer (FREE) right away.

Tire Warehouse installed them and I loved them instantly! Great looking tires, run smooth and quiet! I would get them again! Very good quality at a very good price! Only had them about a month, but so far so good!.

Great tire for the price. I always try to buy American and usually do. The SUV that these Taiwan tires went on isn’t going to be on the road or in my ownership in a few years. Rusting out and will be retiring.

So for the last set of tires on this vehicle it was a terrific choice. They are a little taller than the coopers that were on and the road noise is very minimal to the point I have to listen for it to notice.

Highly recommend for a work truck or the last set of tires the vehicle might need.

I am kicking myself that I bought these tires. Roughest riding, noisiest tires I’ve ever had. They provide a very unstable ride as they bounce you all over the road. I Always purchased the Goodyear Fortitude in the past which I never had a problem with but I thought I would try a different one this time.

Big mistake on my part. I am now taking a loss on these ones and ordering the ones that I know are good.

When I drove away the truck pulled to the left, which it did not do before, and all of the tire pressures were different. I had to buff the boot marks off of my wheel where I saw the tech kicking it trying to get it off.

Taking it to another shop to check alignment before I return to double-check the balancing. Tire pressure did not correct the pull. Good price on tires. worth the savings.

Can back out of an icy inclined driveway with a dually F-350 and not have to lock the 4-wheel drive in! For a plus they are quit, which I was unsure they would be looking at the tread. I always ran commercial TA but the tire is not what they use to be.

Last set didn’t last 40000 miles and the prior two sets were over 75000.

There isnt much on the internet about these tires so hopefully I can help. I’ve had them on a 2017 diesel super duty for 8000 miles, mixed driving. They currently have 14/32 tread. These tires will last over 50k miles under this heavy truck.

The Michelin tires were sucking up nails twice a week (I work construction) and these tires have not gotten a single nail in the few months I’ve had them. PROS: Long life. Look great. Tough tire. Great traction, in all conditions.

Balance well. Quieter than a mud tire. CONS: Wrecked fuel mileage (2-3 MPG decrease, both highway and city). Ride like they are wooden tires. Very heavy (definitely do not recommend for a half ton or lighter truck).

Noise level is similar to noisy ATs, but not as loud as MTs. In summary, if you value durability over all else, I recommend this tire. If you drive the family around as much as you work in your truck and value comfort and/or fuel efficiency, shop for a regular all terrain like everyone else does.

My previous AT tires were AT3 XLTs and they were significantly more comfortable and efficient, and I will probably go back to them, if these tires ever wear out.
