20 Best 29 Inch Wide Refrigerator (2022 Updated)

This is an outstanding refrigerator for families with kids. The features are very well engineered and thought-out. We haven’t owned it long enough to see how effective the built-in deodorizer and UV technology works, but so far it has been very fresh and clean smelling.

The look is awesome although don’t confuse “fingerprint resistant” with “fingerprint proof”. The stainless steel looks great and clean-up with stainless steel cleaner and a microfiber cloth is quick and easy.

I like the sleek exterior look with no water or ice dispensers or other techie screens. The beverage center is a cool idea! The left top door has an outer door that opens exposing the beverage center.

It dispenses filtered water on demand and also has a pitcher that can refill automatically with water when replaced in the beverage center. The water is cold and satisfying. You also have access to the two door bins when you are in the beverage center.

As such, we keep canned and bottle drinks in those for quick access to cold refreshments. The interior has bright lights and plenty of capacity. The door bins are one-piece molded plastic. Our previous refrigerator had 3-piece door bins that were difficult to clean and had parts break.

I don’t anticipate those problems with these one-piece bins. An easy to overlook feature that is very helpful is the shelves all slide out. This is especially convenient in the lower compartments and you want to get some from further back on the shelf.

The crispers are deep and spacious. The lower right compartment is convertible between refrigerator or freezer. We have only used ours as a refrigerator so far. It gives you another crisper along with the shelves and door bins for storage.

Ice makers aren’t typically something to rave about but our last refrigerator developed a leaking seal by the filter so I had to turn on the water supply and ice maker. We ended up buying 20 lb bags of ice to have a supply for drinks and so on.

This new Samsung took about 24 hours to really start churning out ice. After disposing of the first couple of batches, it has been able to make ice faster than our house of 6 (three adults, 3 children) can use it.

The ice comes in two sizes – normal nuggets and small bite-size pieces. The kids love the novelty of the small ice while the ice nuggets are perfect for me as well as filling a cooler for a picnic. Highly recommend this refrigerator for families!.

I bought this to replace a failed fridge. I researched online intensely for several days. This model was newer and didn’t have much in the way of reviews at the time as it had recently launched. The configuration however addressed concerns I had about the icemaker situation on other models.

The configuration is great and the beverage center is fantastic. I use that water pitcher every single day. If I ever move, this is one appliance I want to come with me. The two types of ice are neat.

For ice aficionado’s, the smaller cubes, while not the Sonic style of ice, are good little chiclets that after a couple of minutes in the water get soft and chewable. The interior lighting is great and the location of the water filter is quite smart.

The only negatives I have are in regards to the open door detection. The timing before it starts alarming and messaging my phone is fairly short. I end up opening and closing it a lot as I load it up with groceries just to avoid the chirps.

Secondly, the system is smart enough to know the door is open, but not smart enough holding on dumping more ice cubes into the bins until the door is closed. This has led to a few dumps of ice while the tray is pulled out for easier access.

To work around this I either hunch down and leave the drawer pushed in to get ice or I listen for the motor sound starting to work and shove the drawer back quickly before ice dumps into the shelf below.

This is a small thing, and I certainly wouldn’t pass up all the other awesome features of this model for these little quibbles.

We very much like the layout of this refrigerator; it is much more efficient than the side-by-side it replaced. The highlight though, is the beverage center with the auto-fill pitcher. It is so much more convenient than waiting for a stream of water to fill a cup, and the water is already cold.

With the dual ice maker, we have much more ice capacity than before. Getting ice requires opening the lower left freezer door (as opposed to ice dispensed on the outside of the door) which may be a little less energy efficient, but with the scoop, it is very fast to fill a glass.

We have the flex freezer side set to freeze, and plan to keep it that way, but it is nice to know that we have the option of making it part of the refrigerator section if needed for a large party. Our frig is “fingerprint resistant”.

It still shows some fingerprints, but they are much less obvious than the previous Samsung we had. The handle design on this model seems to keep our fingers away from the main door surface, so that helps.

We have had this refrigerator for about three weeks now and it is already our favorite style with the four doors and beverage center. It is much easier to organize than the side-by-side, or french door with drawer models we have had recently.

Samsung has a winner here! Conn’s also came through for us by having this model in stock, where most other suppliers would require a 3 to 6 week wait. Their delivery team also did a great job getting it up to our 2nd floor kitchen and removing the old one – very helpful.

This Samsung Bespoke fridge is amazing! I love how the double doors open up with nothing in the middle blocking the view. The shelves are clear and allow easy viewing for everything that’s in the fridge.

There is no wasted space and there is high clearance throughout for taller items. It’s visually appealing and very practical. The lower compartments allow us to put healthy snacks the kids can self-serve anytime.

It’s great for parties and so far it has served us well for multiple holidays, storing huge turkeys every side dish, and multiple beverage options. The removable ice storage with 2 cube sizes and a scooper has been more than enough for our large parties and makes serving so easy.

Our guests have been very impressed. There are so many features with this fridge that I didn’t even realize would come in handy for day-to-day living. The beverage center is awesome. The self-filling pitcher is a game changer.

We use it to quickly re-fill our coffee maker with filtered water rather than having to use tap water, so now even the water filter in our coffee maker lasts longer. The beverage station has definitely helped us to drink more water and we’ve used the infuser to add lemons and limes on occasion which is great for switching it up and having a refreshing drink on the ready.

The hidden front compartment door is great for storing items we want quick access to and prevents us from having to open the fridge unnecessarily. Everything in the lower compartments is easily accessible thanks to roll out shelves and drawers.

We really appreciate this feature in our kitchen cabinets and it’s great to have it in our fridge as well. I love how there’s no handles on the outer doors, giving it a designer look that goes well with our kitchen.

We decided to go with the gray glass panels, but I’m so excited about the fact that in the future if we decide to redesign our kitchen, I’ll be able to easily change out the panels for a sleek black or steel look.

Overall, this fridge has improved daily living, making it easier to store food and see what we have, which ultimately makes it easier to plan for grocery shopping trips and has encouraged us to fill it with healthier food options.

This fridge brings together great functionality and great design – well done Samsung!.

I like the fact that the ice maker does not take up valuable storage space from the refrigerator and the shelves on the door are much better laid out than on my previous Samsung french door refrigerator.

I also like this 4-door flex freezer section. It is much easier to organize the freezer in this than in my previous freezer drawer, where everything is piled on top of each other, and finding something requires digging through the pile.

My only issue was that my new bespoke arrived defective and required exchanging. Getting through to Samsung at the right department was an extremely difficult and day-exhausting endeavor. I wasted a whole day trying to reach the appliance department on both chat and phone, getting transferred to disconnected calls or stuck in a never-ending loop to the wrong department; but I finally got through to process my exchange.

The replacement has been working great but getting to this point was an extremely unpleasant experience. However, the agent was great once my chat session finally got connected.

i had such high expectations for this refrigerator. it has so many wonderful features and looks great. unfortunately, the one feature it’s lacking is the ability to keep food cold! over one week, there was never a 24 hour period where it actually maintained a constant 40° or less temperature.

i used wi-fi thermometers to track the temperature. we followed all the suggestions, including keeping it 2/3 full, plenty of air circulation around the outside, and all the vents clear the temperature would randomly go up for no explainable reason; it was often over 40° for hours; then decrease to below 34°.

no one opened the door, the power was constant, and we keep our house cool. luckily, we discovered this issue within the first week; we are returning it to samsung for a full refund.

Everything about this refrigerator is exactly what I dreamed of, and then some! Right from the start, I was very impressed by the sheer size of it. I previously had a 24 cu. ft fridge, and this one is a drastic size improvement.

While I had a fully stocked fridge previously, once I transferred over all my food into this one, I had considerably more room and had several empty spots where I could store more! The freezer size looks misleadingly small, but the drawers and shelves are extremely spacious and fit loads of things! The beverage center has to be my favorite feature.

The water dispenser works wonderfully and has a good, high pressure stream. The water pitcher holds enough water for a large water bottle, and also has a spot where you can put fruit or tea bags to flavor the water with! I tried this with tea and it worked great.

I absolutely LOVE the two different types of ice, and despite the trays looking small from the outside, they’re very long and deep, so both trays hold a ton of ice each! The included scoop is a nice touch too so you don’t have lots of people touching all over the ice.

The smart features on this fridge are also a nice touch, and it was pretty easy connecting it to the app on my phone. When the fridge is open for too long, it sends me an alert to my phone to make sure to close it.

It’s a great feature if you often accidentally leave the fridge open a crack! The flex spaces (the drawer and the bottom right fridge/freezer flex) are SO nice to have, and it really makes this fridge customizable for anyone’s needs.

The screen is very easy to navigate and I was easily able to adjust these settings with a quick click of a button. Overall, this fridge is a dream come true for me, and I literally can’t think of any features I’m missing out on with this one!.

NICE REFRIGERATOR BUT MAJOR COOLING PROBLEMS If the refrigerator worked, I would happily give it five stars. Beautiful construction, very practical, and lots of storage. However the refrigerator will not cool to the temperature it is set to.

If I set it to 33°, which is the lowest setting it can go to, the refrigerator will not maintain 40° inside. Freezer works fine. Refrigerator door seal checked, level checked, refrig is not over loaded and blocking air flow.

I noted others have complain about the same thing. Food is spoiling in the refrigerator portion of the unit. This replaced another LG refrigerator that worked great until it stopped working after 11 yr.

It has never worked correctly and should have returned it immediatly. Lowes until will take it back in first 48 hours. If you use a Lowes credit card then it would be 30 days. They extended warranty is no help and very user unfriendly to use.

I filed a claim for warranty service with LG and was shocked to find that they do not have warranty service in the entire state, leaving me with the product that cannot be repaired under warranty. To their credit, LG is providing compensation but would not want anyone to go through an experience like this with a brand new very expensive refrigerator.

The only complaint I have regarding the design is the pull out deli drawer. Since the lid does not lift upwards, you have to pull the drawer out entirely to get anything in or out which means both doors have to be opened to the fullest extent or the drawer will not pull out.

Much more convenient with most of the refrigerators I’ve owned where the drawer can be pulled out two to three inches and the lid lifted up to drop large items back in quickly.

I have now been using my new LG Refrigerator for 12 days, and so far, I love it. It has the same “footprint” as my old refrigerator, but has over two cubic feet more space-which is a huge difference! The door space is fantastic.

I can store so much more in the doors that I no longer have to move everything around to get to the jars of things that were pushed to the back of my shelf space with my old fridge. The freezer also has more room and is much more efficient to organize frozen foods because of the depth of the pull out shelf and the fact that the large bin/basket does not have as much of a slanted back as my old one did—giving more space.

As for the OUTSIDE of my new LG: It is WONDERFUL! I was worried about the color being too light; too shiny and showing fingerprints. NO PROBLEMS!!! The finish that I chose (called printproof platinum silver) is perfect.

It is darker in color that the “stainless steel”, it is NOT too shiny, and it is very easy to wipe off fingerprints when necessary. Could not have asked for anything more. It is not “bogged down” with a bunch of unnecessary “smart” stuff that I don’t have the time or energy to figure out.

I opted for filtered water ONLY from the slim line door dispenser because the in-door ice dispenser was why I had to replace my previous refrigerator. I did not want to go through THAT again, so opted for water only.

It is great. Easily dispenses with no dripping and accommodates all sizes of containers that I have tried. Digital displays are on left door panel just above the water dispenser and are simple once you get the hang of it.

Again, well thought out and “dumbed down” so that even an older, non-techie like me can figure it out just be reading that section in the owner’s manual. I would have NO PROBLEM recommending this LG Refrigerator model.

I cannot speak for longevity, since I have only been using for 12 days, but with my added protection plan, I am not worried. Try it —–You will Like it!!.

It works great and I like all the features. The supply chain issues made getting this stressful. The retailer kept telling us we would get it delivered on certain day and then it would change and I even moved my old fridge out to the garage down 3 steps and up 2 steps at 62 years old by myself because my wife is disabled and we don’t know anyone where we moved and after Lowes told us it was on the truck for delivery and I had moved the fridge they called back and said it WAS NOT on the truck for delivery and then it was delayed several more times over the course of about a month and we waited in total about 4-5 months to get the new fridge.

I know that isn’t directly your fault but you should know what is going on. Then about 6-8 weeks after finally getting the new fridge delivered, the light went out that is supposed to come on every time you use the water dispenser.

Our tap water isn’t drinkable and my wife and I have to work from home because she is disabled and we both drink water frequently through the day and evening and we would have to turn on a less energy efficient whole kitchen light to see that our cups were safely placed in the right manner under the dispenser.

It was magnified aggravation because we had wiTed so long to get this fridge and we paid what is to us a lot of money and then for a little light bulb to be defective was stressful. Please note that on this form below where it forces you to answer yes or no about receiving a product for free, that is confusing but I answered yes because I am assuming it means I am receiving this chance at $500 free.

I knew my back wouldn’t stand up to bending over and rooting through freezer drawers, so when we needed to replace our old fridge and I saw this four-door, I was sold. I love the drawers and slide-out shelves in the two lower freezer sections (the flex-zone is nice, but it will always just be a freezer for me.

) I don’t need “chippies” (the second ice option), so I turned them off and commandeered that drawer for more storage space. The split half-shelf in the fridge has come in handy, as has having the entire fridge area be above waist level…I didn’t realize how badly I wanted that convenience until I had it!! I do miss having a deli drawer, but plastic storage bins more than make up for it.

A great benefit has been the even cooling: I can finally store anything in the very back of the fridge and IT WON’T FREEZE!!! Complaints: 1) I’d have liked more shelf-level options in the fridge. 2) It would have been nice to have been able to opt out of the in-door water pitcher so that door storage space could be maximized.

3) The split shelves were so hard to disconnect when we wanted to adjust them, that we were afraid they’d break; so, we called the installation tech to come back the day after delivery to do it for us.

He showed us how to party finesse/partly force the shelves apart, but that really shouldn’t have been necessary. 4) The sides and top of this fridge have the same black textured surface as my old fridge – great for hiding fingerprints – but the doors for this Samsung were only available in stainless steel.

I’d ask why, but I know SS and other smooth surfaces are the current fashion…but it’s a boldface lie to say ANY stainless-steel hides fingerprints!! Plus, the black stainless steel isn’t as black as my other kitchen appliances (I’d call it charcoal) so it doesn’t quite match.

These are minor complaints having nothing to do with performance! I know I’ll be wiping fingerprints off the doors of this fridge every day until I die, but I don’t care – I love it and am so happy to have found it when I needed to replace the old one.

Writing this review I have owned the fridge for close to 4 months. The aesthetic looks of this fridge including the function won me over, which most engineered products lack both. I dislike seeing on any fridges seeing what it looks like a last minute design that is a stuck on ice maker and water dispenser.

I absolutely love the little addition of being able have mini ice cubes and normal ice cubes available. Also how the interior is by far the most updated looking fridge I have seen in a while. There is some negative aspects the first one is some of the shelves heights are kinda weird where if you want to place most standard beer bottles the shelves make it awkward you scrape the top of the bottle and bottom at the same time when you want a cold one.

You can move the shelves around but if you have cans in the bottom shelves they won’t fit anymore. I do not know if this is related to the 3rd party samsung contracted appliance installers but randomly the compressor clunks when turning off.

What it might be is the rubber mounts for the compressor might be too soft or the installers smashed it with a dolly. Something that happens if your used to different fridges is that the door doesn’t suck itself in like some fridges when the door is close to being shut but rather bounces back open halfway, it’s kind of annoying but it seems that majority of new fridges have that unusual quirk where you have to really push the door shut in order to stay shut.

There is a built in alarm to notify you that the door is open, but sometimes there’s a sweet spot that it won’t detect. The last negative thing is if you open the door when it is dark around the brightness of the interior light will temporary blind you.

Fridge is 2 years and 8 months old. Now exhibiting the problem common with many manufacturers/models of bottom-freezer fridges (all brands made by very few manufacturers). Bottom freezer fridges are prone to: insufficient engineering of the auto-defrost mechanism.

Either the defrost wire isn’t powerful enough, or the insulation is too little. The defrost drain between the freezer compartment and fridge can’t move the water out before it freezes. It backs up until it obstructs the fan.

Then the chilled air in the freezer isn’t getting moved up into the fridge compartment and cooling of fridge-temp items stops, even though compressor still working fine and all frozen goods are fine.

Usually, the styrofoam insulation between the two compartments has become water-logged and needs to be replaced. It’s pricey and inconvenient to fix and is prone to reoccurring.

We had an earlier version of this fridge in white but decided to replace it with a stainless steel one due to it’s age and the fact we wanted all new appliances that matched. While most of the fridge seems to be the same two things of note were disappointing.

The old fridge had see-through molded door shelving compartments. Happily since the old and new units were identical, we were able to swap out the old see-through parts and discard the new solid shelving compartments.

(Note: the new solid ones DO make the interior of the fridge look cleaner and more streamlined, but we gave that “upgraded” cosmetic feature up for the ability to easily see exactly what we are looking for more quickly.

) The other issue was more disturbing: the lower freezer compartment has too much “give” and unless it is opened and closed exactly from the middle of the handle, it will not slide properly and ends up not closing fully and sealing properly.

Special attention must be given each time it is used. Also this model does not have the little shelf to slide an ice cube tray on, but that does allow for more taller items in the freezer which is nice.

I wish that there had been a “smudge-free” stainless option as some other manufacturers offer, as I was naive on how many finger prints stainless shows. On the plus side we still love the glass adjustable shelving, it seems very well insulated.

It is easy to clean and has great lighting.

This has been our family fridge for at least 15 years and my mom loved it! Unfortunately my parents are doing a renovation in 2 weeks and with that comes new appliances and she’s very sad to see this one go.

She said it’s needed one repair in the entire 17 years we’ve had it and it’s incredibly spacious. Not to mention the convenience of having the fridge portion on top and the freezer on the bottom since most people access the fridge more often than their freezer.

The one con is that due to how spacious this fridge is, the fridge exceeds counter depth, which is a bit of an eye sore, hence why she’s so worried about getting a smaller fridge with the renovation that will be flush with standard counter depth meaning she’s losing the extra space from the fridge being deeper than standard counters.

Overall the has served our family well and I’m sure other #whirlpool fridges are just as great!.

My wife and I purchased this refrigerator approx. 3 years ago. I do not do reviews as soon as I get a product because let’s face it, new out of the box just means you liked it, you bought it right? With this in mind my goal is to provide an honest review having had the product for awhile.

Overall we love the refrigerator, there was a problem with a dispenser microswitch which LG went above and beyond to fix. Their customer service is excellent and we own several LG products because of this.

The refrigerator is a replacement for another brand that was peer in terms of cost and features, and only lasted 10 years. This is obviously a concern as the cost of appliances in today’s market place should provide a reliable product for much longer.

If not for the great customer service of LG, I would have had an extensive repair bill for an appliance that was only 3 years old. I will say that this refrigerator replacement is a direct result of the previous manufacture failing on their products customer services.

My other concern in regard to the LG, is the products engineering. The part that failed could be purchased for a very reasonable cost. However, you cannot get to the microswitch without damaging other parts of the refrigerators dispenser, I could have easily fixed the switch myself had I been able to get to it.

I still gave this product a 4 out of 5 stars because I believe technology is ahead of reliability. My hope is that the engineering community understands this and the various companies either extend their warrantee or engineer the product to where there is greater access to component areas.

I would still buy this product for myself and would recommend the product to a friend as I believe all products regardless of the manufacturer could experience the same problem. In regard to features, the “knock to see” feature of the door is just awesome.

My grandkids can knock on the window, see what’s inside and make their decision without the door being left open for an extended amount of time, that and it’s fun for them. The door is light and access to drinks is easy for them, they do not have to reach inside the unit, everything is right there.

It is a great feature. The unit itself is very nice, it goes well in our kitchen and the display on the front is easy to see and read. We do not use the internet features, that was not a selling point for us, others may find it useful, and if you are considering this unit, I’d encourage you to become familiar with the features to see if they meet your needs.

Pro: Spacious, clean looking, 2 ice makers, drink compartment is handy for butter and drinks only (maybe bread too). Wifi feature is neat and checks for consumption and also how many times a day the fridge/freezer door has been opened.

Cons: The drink compartment is a chiller as it won’t get to 37F (confirmed by tech). Mine currently reads about 5F+ from main fridge at ~42F. The water tastes a bit funny (carbon taste) but ice is okay.

I think it’s the filter that it uses (we are used to ceramic filtered water). Door ice already got stuck 1 time (you have to dislodge it from sticking to sides of tray. The top chiller door tray is almost unusable as you can’t move it and it’s too high up.

Just had a LG tech come out and hope this clarifies some issue for others looking at newer fridges. 1) The compressor cools the freezer. So setting the freezer colder will run the compressor harder. 2) The temperature in the main fridge is controller by another device that allows cold air from freezer into the fridge.

3) It is normal for the freezer to swing up to 20F+ or even higher when in defrost mode but the freezer foods should never feel mushy or soft. 4) the fridge temperature should not swing like that. I confirmed with a temperature probe in water, fridge thermometer in drink chiller, and also a wireless thermometer that measures temperature high/lows for freezer.

I was concerned about pushing the fridge temp to 33F to achieve a 37F internal temp of fridge would shorten the compressor lifespan but it’s not the case since the freezer is fine.

Do you want a refrigerator that can read your mind? This beautiful 15 ft. ³ LG refrigerator is one of the most marvelous and probably the most fabulous refrigerator out there today. It has Wi-Fi enhancement, it tells you when you need to replace the filter, and if anything goes wrong LG has one of the most fabulous warranties available known to mankind.

This refrigerator can hold more than enough food for a family of 20 and still have room for more. It’s sleek, shiny, and very easy to clean. The shelves have rubber backs inside so nothing can leak if a bottle of milk or a can of syrup or Coke spills it won’t leak down to another shelf.

It has two storage bins for fresh fruits and vegetables and then one very large bin that you can put anything you want in there fruits vegetables anything you want to keep extra cold. I recommend this refrigerator to anybody that’s looking to buy something that will last a lifetime and will be just as beautiful as the first day you have it delivered.

The front doesn’t scratch easily and wipes up with just an easy rag and maybe some polish. Nowadays things are not made like they used to be, but this LG refrigerator is made to last, and you will be proud to use it and fill it, eat all the food and fill it up again.

Life isn’t the easiest right now but with a refrigerator like this LG French door refrigerator life becomes a bit easier to deal with everyday.

I replaced my 20 year old Amana with the same size so it fit in my space. My old one was fitted with much better shelving and freezer racks. The new ones are smaller, so I can’t get as much into the bins on the door, and I can only adjust the two glass shelves up or down; the old one had split shelves and a meat bin that stored meat and cheese well.

There are no bins within the refrigerator or the freezer. The “cheese” door on the door of the refrigerator is supposed to hold cheese, but I find that my cheese molds much more quickly. The old meat/ cheese drawer was so much better at storing these things.

I am disappointed with my new refrigerator. The motor works are better and more efficient, but the refrigerator could be even much more efficient if Amana tried harder to make it Energy Efficient. The new one is 2 3/4 as expensive as the old one.

I didn’t get my money’s worth. I will never buy another Amana anything!.

This is my second Amana bottom freezer refrigerator. The first one was purchased in 2005 and was actually still working, except it was not defrosting correctly. Water was not draining into the pan but, instead, was draining into the freezer.

I had to manually defrost it about once a week (using my chef’s knife to slide under the sheet of ice and prying it out). Otherwise it was still working great. I sort of hated to get rid of the old girl, but after having the drain unclogged twice (both times costing $115) the tech from the local appliance store where I bought it recommended getting a new one.

He said fridges normally are only supposed to last 10 years, anyway. So in August 2020 I called the same local appliance store but was told they were on back order. My assumption was that COVID demands and shut downs were the cause.

They put me on a waiting list. I watched for the same product on the Lowe’s website as well, but it was always OUT OF STOCK. So I kept manually defrosting it and figuring that the appliance store had just forgotten about me.

Well imagine my surprise when they called August 2021, a year later, keeping their promise (thank you Krisay’s Appliance of Johnstown, PA). They were finally able to get them to their store so I bought this one and they delivered it and removed the other war horse.

This model is nearly identical. the only thing odd is that the sides and top of this new fridge has a pebbled, textured surface (like my old one) but both doors are smooth, almost as if they ran out of textured doors so put these on.

Otherwise it is mostly identical. I saved the shelves, drawers, and ice trays and bins from my old one since they fit the new one. the new one also came with no ice trays or bin even though I got a model without an ice maker; and my old one had split shelves and a deli drawer; the new one only has 2 full size shelves.

The new interior light is an LED, twice as bright as the old incandescent bulb. And the controls are no longer analog (dials) but digital. So far, almost 3 weeks in, it is running perfectly. It is nearly totally quiet.

you can tell when it is defrosting by a faint increase in the motor/fan sound but is really quite unnoticeable. Amana is well known for its quality. My washer and dryers are both Amana as well and they are at least 15 years old and going strong.

As long as Amana keeps assembling them in the USA and continues to provide a quality product I won’t buy any other brand of major appliances.

Our old fridge sputtered to an untimely death back at the beginning of the pandemic when we had a fridge full of provisions for the unknown. In my haste to purchase a replacement, I bought a floor model which was available/on hand to be delivered by our local appliance store (support local business!!) the following day.

This model was smaller than our last fridge but smaller was fine as we are preparing to be empty nesters sooner rather than later. The bottom freezer was imperative to me as at 5’ 11” I never want to bend down to peruse my fridge again.

I was happy with the price and fine with the limited features, until my teenage son notified me on the day of deliver that the fridge had no deli drawer or ice trays. I assumed that it was a delivery error and spent far too much time researching the internet before calling the store to notify them that they had not completed the delivery.

I was shocked to discover that any manufacturer would make a refrigerator without a deli drawer and lamented for weeks that in my haste I had overlooked the lack of the most simplest of features. It is reliable, it keeps our food cold and will someday become a nice hand me down fridge when I replace it with a fridge that has a proper deli drawer.

It works as well as any freezer and refrigerator. Problem is the incessant noise. Ticking, tapping and the sound of a waterfall is seriously annoying. For the first month of ownership I moved it weekly thinking there was a leak because of the rushing water noise it makes every time I close the door.

Whenever the compressor kicks in there is a cacophony of ticking and tapping that is so freaking annoying. I just moved in 2 months ago and all of my appliances are brand new Amana. The refrigerator is the only one that disappoints me.

I don’t have money to throw away but I’m thinking of getting rid of this brand new refrigerator just to get some peace and quiet. Also, the corners are sharp and I’ve cut my palm trying to open the door because the suction is too strong.

I purchased my Amana refrigerator two months ago and I absolutely love it! it is black and it an Amana! It has glass shelves which really keep the food cold. It is spacious, and has a large freezer compartment.

The price was affordable and I am eyeing a black stove to go with it. I am so excited and I hope you try an Amana too. It has good stroage compartments the little drawers are so cute, and I love the shelves for the pops and condiments.

it has a cute little butter storage space with a door. I am so proud of my new refrigerator. I wish i could afford the stove it is Amana too and is black and will match my refrigerator. against hunter green walls it is gorgeous.

It keeps the food cold and the vegetables are crisp. My cokes are very cold and the food in the freezer is frozen. The temperature guide is easy to set. I hope if you have a chance you will purchase an Amana for your next fridge.

This fridge is less than 2 years old. it’s always freezing the food despite all the manufacturer recommendations i. e. temperature settings, food placement, vegetables in the crisper only. Technician has been over multiple times – changed the door gaskets and the main control board twice! And it’s still freezing the food.

We’ve had to toss alot of food, it’s ridiculous. Unionville Appliance, the authorized dealer/service depot has not rectified the issue ( it was originally a warranty repair ) – now that the unit is out of warranty it seems i’m going to have to pay out of pocket.

Ridiculous, no one is standing behind this product and the issues i’m having.

My family decided to purchase this refrigerator after reading reviews and specifications on the model. Our requirements were accessibility for a person in a wheelchair, smart integration, ice maker, and water dispenser.

We’d also seen the integrated self filling pitcher and, as a family that goes through a lot of filtered water, this is a must have. The fridge is really accessible. The fact that you can customize the flex zone so, if you don’t need the freezer space, you have more room for fresh food, is amazing.

This has the added bonus of adding accessible room for a person using the fridge from a seated position in a wheelchair. The pull out shelves and ample door storage in the freezer and flex zone add to the accessibility of this model and really make it a fridge everyone can use.

The pitcher is a bit cumbersome for someone with fine motor impairments. It can take some effort to remove and put back. The pitcher is small enough that it’s not too heavy, but large enough to fill even a large sports bottle.

The auto fill pitcher is so convenient I’ve even used it to fill my cats’ water fountain. With the water pitcher being an option, we don’t use the water dispenser often, but it does a good job of filling water bottles at a reasonable speed.

The ice maker produces enough ice even for our large family. I feel like, unless you’re entertaining regularly, you shouldn’t run out of ice. The scoop that’s included is cumbersome and there’s no ice dispenser because of the change in design (the ice maker isn’t in the fridge its in the freezer) It wouldn’t have cost Samsung much to have included a better ice scoop and it really would improve usability.

Smart home integration is adequate. There are functions you can’t do on the hub of this fridge that are available on even a low end echo show. I feel like, for the extra money you spend for the family hub, Bixby /Alexa functions should be more extensive and user friendly.

I primarily use smart home functions to monitor my doorbell, turn lights off and on, and set timers for cooking and those work fine. Though, at times, the echo dot from my bathroom will hear my commands and my fridge will not.

There is a camera inside the fridge which, in theory, will tell you what the contents of your fridge are and recommend recipes. Maybe this works for other people, but it absolutely did not work out for me.

At times it was funny to see how comically wrong the fridge was about its own contents. The camera view inside the fridge also isn’t stellar and it’s hard to see things to the side and impossible to see items in the back.

This option could be excluded and no one would miss it. Overall, for the price I feel the quality of workmanship could have been improved. Our initial unit was missing a wire and the door release button did not function.

I’m on my second unit and hope we do not have continuing problems. Overall, if you want a fridge that anyone in your home can use and you have tolerance for a hiccup here and there, this is a good fit.

Tons more shelf space than we have ever had before with 23 cu ft. The color is really a Dark Grey. Only the Family Hub screen has a solid black area around it. The 2 lbs. of ice that it can make per day is plenty.

The refrigerator stay colder than any I’ve ever had and the crisper is fantastic for vegetables. The new ice maker is a superb upgrade to the older Family Hub Refrig that had an ice maker that leaked water every time and cracked the bin with frozen ice.

Now the ice is there ready to use anytime. Love the Family Hub for playing music while I cook and to check the weather/time whenever we want. One important note…Download the manual for easy use or place the icon to access it on the Family Hub in order to answer questions.

Although I love the quick access door to get water, small cans of soda/juice and my coffee creamer I always have to remember to open the right door pull on the left to get to it. There are 2 door openings on the left door and only one on the right.

Whereas the door openings on the top 2 French Doors are on the bottom, the bottom French doors open from the tops. The French Door on the left has two openings while the one on the right side has only one but YOU MUST not close the door on the left without closing the door on the right first! Otherwise it might break.

Our Samsung Microwave that is next to the refrigerator opens on the inside right. So you can see how this might drive one crazy. So right now the Refrigerator is teaching us lots of wonderful ways of doing things and we are determined to learn them.

By the way, “Hi Bixby” doesn’t seem to really have any information about the Refrigerator itself but is fantastic at Spotify, the Weather, and lot’s of fun for kids to experiment with.

I got this fridge 2 months ago. So far I am please with the the fridge itself. The only downside is the fit and finish and the compressor. The compressor sounds like it is struggling and is very audible.

There are so sharp edges everywhere and excess insulation foam protruding from the edges. The seal around the fridge door is already loose. I have pushed the seal back into its track in the door but it always just gets pulled out again due to the pressure.

Also this fridge doesn’t have a handle. It will be a finger print magnet and the stainless in not treated for finger prints like some higher end models I have seen. I would say it is a budget fridge and it fills this role just fine.

Overall satisfied but probably will pair with other brands.

I bought the refrigerator a month ago. I works, but it’s very loud, very loud. The noises it makes almost seem humanlike and are very annoying and creepy the first time you hear it and until you track down the root of the new noise in your home; then it’s just annoying.

I give the external appearance of this refrigerator is an 8. Now the inside, the butter compartment door came taped up from Lowes and it’s functional. Also the shelves are grated therefore you can forget standing up 16.

9 ounce waters on the shelves. This refrigerator would get 10 stars if the shelves were solid like glass or plexiglass and if it didn’t make loud noises all day and all night.

I bought this fridge to replace an older one. The shelves are metal wire and do not support bottles and items very well they are always falling over. I wish they would have stick with the glass shelves they were so much better in supporting odd items.

The shelves are spaced out well and hold gallon of milk very well. They left out a cold cut drawer for the fridge part and I used that all the time. The omitted the full shelves in the freezer and put a little corner shelve instead.

Now everything is mashed together so I had to buy a aftermarket shelf so it was more organized as they do not make one for this fridge even though it has the slots for it.

The refrigerator was delivered on Feb. 5th 2022 after waiting for over a month and once plugged in, the loud humming and buzzing was constant. But, the worst noise of all was a squeaking motor fan coming from the freezer! It is so loud while the refrigerator is running and when it stops the squeaking freezer motor fan continues to run another for 10-15 mins! I cannot sleep nor have any peace and quiet in my home.

If you have a small home or condo or an open concept loft like mine do not get this refrigerator because you will suffer sleepless nights and days without any peace and quiet. I called Home Depot within the 48 hours timeframe to report the malfunction refrigerator and it came with an inch long scratch on the main door too.

I am still waiting to hear back on a replacement and followed up four times without an solid answer on when I am getting a replacement refrigerator as it seems inventory might be an issue. It’s now been 10 days and I continue to suffer with no updates in site.

I bought this Fridge in October 2021 and it was finally delivered in February 2022. Installer went to install icemaker that whirlpool said fit this model fridge and it had a different plug that would not fit.

On phone with Whirlpool for over 90 minutes and no one could figure out what part. Was given another part number and ordered. The next one hits fan cover with metal lift rod and won’t work. Problem seems to be this fridge model number ends in 09 and parts list only goes to 06 model (which noted the wrong icemaker to buy) so none of their parts staff know what to do.

Unbelievable. I was told would be forwarded to engineering and would receive email with proper part number within 48 hours. I Have not heard back. Frustrating beyond belief that a company can sell a product and not easily be able To give you the proper part number for their own product.

Part numbers given by Whirlpool so far were WPW10715709 and WPW10315446. Neither fit so don’t waste your time buying. Like the fridge but extremely frustrated with the Whirlpool inability to support their own product.

This is a decent Whirlpool refrigerator for a small family. It provides plenty of space, water ice maker/dispenser, touch screen adjustable temperature buttons, and crispers/drawers shelves. The ice maker has two settings; cubed and crushed, which is very convenient.

There are four temperature options for the fridge and two for the freezer. The only two issues I’ve had is sometimes the ice maker switches off but it’s an easy fix of just flipping the switch. Also, sometimes an ice cube or two slips out.

It makes only a small amount of noise when filling the ice tray. I’d recommend this for small families only.

We only have the Maytag for a month, but so far it is a very good product. It does keep food fresher, however, the old one was 29 yrs old. Everything in the Frig is up front and is seen. I like the fact that on the bottom shelf in the rear you can store extra items you don’t used often.

Like we buy four juice’s and creamers, because they are on sale. Can only use one at a time so the rest go on the shelf in the rear away from everything and you only go back there when you finished the first one.

The first refrigerator arrived and the body of the freezer where the door gasket meets was warped so it didn’t meet flush south the gasket. It was the same for the refrigerator door gasket. This caused the freezer to frost up all stuff inside the freezer.

The refrigerator froze everything on the bottom. We sent that refrigerator back to the factory and got a a replacement Maytag. It arrived with damaged freezer door where the gasket was ripped off the inside of the freezer and couldn’t be repaired so a new freezer door was ordered 9 weeks ago and it was to take 5 weeks and it’s still not here.

This refrigerator the compressor is making terrible noises. The repairman thought it was the freon so he replaced the freon and he left and hardly got to the street corner and the noises started all over again.

We also can’t keep the temperature dry the recommended spot because everything on the bottom shelf freezes. Turning it down one notch ice cream is soft. I spoke with the manager and he said we’re could turn this refrigerator in and get any other refrigerator we would like, the problem is we have is our size requirements and what is available.

This is a really nice refrigerator if we can get one that works. Could three times be the charm or will we get another dud again?.

The Whirlpool refrigerator is just the right size for our 2 person duplex and we are so pleased with this quiet, efficient replacement. The price was right. We didn’t want or need all the bells and whistles, just a fridge that would freeze what needed freezing and keep everything else nice and cold.

I am a fan of Whirlpool appliances, and this one certainly lives up to our expectations. I must also praise Best Buy for making our shopping experience easy and pleasant. The delivery personnel were also great, handling installation quickly and professionally.

We were so pleased to be treated to “service with a smile. ” I will shop Best Buy again, and Whirlpool products remain at the top of my list.

I am sorry I allowed my husband to shop for an appliance without me, when our 5 year old Whirpool stopped cooling and freezing. I thought he was aware I didn’t want another Whirlpool. IT is smaller than I wanted and after 2 weeks of waiting for it to freeze properly I changed the cooling and freezing settings from the factory settings to Maximum and it helped.

When a whirlpool rep came out I found out that I set the freezer to minimum instead of maximum. It is odd that minimum worked better than the factory settings. It was so dark in the freezer part and my eyesight isn’t great, so I could not tell which letters read min and which read max.

The Max was on the left side of the dial and min was on the right side, which is the opposite of what it is in the fridge part of the refrigerator.

I’m very satisfied. My old fridge was in the process of dying and I was limited by size constraints to VERY FEW refrigerators. Most new fridges require a bigger hole than I have. Anyway I looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Best Buy and called an appliance store.

Home Depot had a different brand that would fit the area and was slightly larger than the Whirlpool, but Home Depot could not guarantee it could be delivered in a timely manner (thanks to covid restrictions back east where they are manufactured).

So then I had one choice – the Whirlpool. I ordered it on a Saturday evening just before quitting time and it was delivered Wednesday morning bright and early. The timing was perfect for me as I was not available Monday or Tuesday.

It’s running great and I was surprised to realize I like the interior layout of this Whirlpool better than I did my old fridge. The butter keeping area is a little smaller than the old fridge so I will need to get a new butter dish.

I’ve had it less than a month so am not sure yet how it will affect the electric bill, but I suspect my electricity charges will go down as the old one ran a lot. The motor noise is a little different sounding than the old fridge but it’s pretty quiet.

It is not at all distracting.

My brand new “finger printless” stainless LG “4-door” refrigerator freezer is amazing. The fact that it communicates with me through my phone is exciting! The “magical window” door has been a real blessing for me knowing I can knock, and it complies by turning on the light to make the inside of that area of the fridge visible without opening the door.

It also lets me know when a door or freezer drawer is not completely closed. The freezer is plenty big as is the top “solid” drawer as opposed to that being a “wire basket”. That drawer holds the ice bin, and enough space for ice cream, frozen yogurt, all kinds of bread and frozen veggies and more.

I like that second solid drawer in the freezer better than a wire basket as it will make it easier to clean. The adjustable shelves are wonderful as is the full shelf that can be turned into a half-shelf.

The crushed ice is great, and the ice cubes are perfect size. Yes, ThinQ is truly wonderful. The door bins on the left which is the “ice maker door” is big enough to hold all kinds of salad dressings and the like.

The veggie/fruit are nice and deep. Being able to set the “temperatures” for the various drawers–fruit, veggies, deli, meat, and produce–is most convenient. Great product!.

Almost immediately, the freezer frosted up and there were frozen droplets on the ceiling and freezer door. Apparently all the seals have to be caulked, a new cold control installed, doors reset and a visible copper wire siliconed.

Frigidaire wants me to have it serviced, but I want a new fridge. I am expected to set side time to be on hold with Frigidaire (45 min at a time, if they are accepting calls, that is) and to set aside 3-hour windows for repair assessment and repair.

All I want is a fridge that will serve me well into the future, not a fridge that already needs repair. A brand new fridge should work properly, and if not, it should be replaced. Frigidaire can repair it and sell it as an open box item.

I don’t want a repaired fridge, I want a new fridge that works. My advice is buy a different brand. Absolutely not recommended.

It works. Just wanted a basic fridge to replace my 27 years old one; little choice last fall. It is noisier but tolerable. The main fridge space is bigger;but the crisper bins are smaller (celery stalks fit snugly) b/c the evaporator plate is underneath.

Contrary to the manual, the roller height are NOT adjustable. The Frigidaire customer service is VERY poor ( I was missing a plastic hinge cap). Called multiple times. long wait or got disconnected. When I finally reach a person, they said “it was out of stock; call back in a month”.

Everything is simple and clear, even a child can cope without instructions. Stylish modern design, convenient operation, and freezes the refrigerator with a Bang. Vegetables and fruits remain fresh for a long time, the greens also wither only after a very long time spent in it.

The freezer at the bottom is much more convenient than it is at the top! Because the refrigerator part, whatever you do, you use more often than the freezer, it is more convenient to take something with you than to bend over.

I am very happy with the refrigerator, of course. And I strongly recommend it, 2. 5 years it works without complaints, I hope it will work for many, many, many years!.

Oh man. This refrigerator. The refrigerator works greats and is very spacious for it being a smaller fridge. The freezer is also pretty spacious and works great but the ice maker functionality on the other hand is poor.

We probably just got bad luck and got a faulty part or set up along the way, but our ice maker had issues from day one and ended up dripping water, freezing over the whole freezer so bad to where we had to pull the door open very hard and the whole freezer door ripped off the hinges and tracks.

So now we are waiting on parts for our whole freezer to be rebuilt. Hopefully once this is all fixed it works great because the appliance itself does work and look great!!.

I have had this refrigerator just over a year. The two vegetable drawers were hanging funny and I realized the center bracket on the large shelf bracket had broken. I called to get a new piece and they agreed to send me one at no charge since it was so close to the warranty expiration.

I have had that new piece just over a week and it is broken again and the shelf bracket is also broken. The tabs for humidity control broke off when I went to close the drawers. It is such a poor design – I have never had a problem with shelves not holding up but it must be cheap plastic and it breaks easily.

I’m sorry I bought this refrigerator but I was limited on size due to cupboard restrictions.

My family and I have had this refrigerator for a short amount of time, but we already love it! It’s design is innovative and we like the sleek and minimalist look. Even though we have the counter depth model, we are still able to organize appropriately so that it’s very functional for our family.

The sliding drawers and trays in the freezer section are fantastic. We no longer are subjected to digging into the deep abyss of the standard French door style freezer drawer. It’s easy to find a place for each item and have it conveniently accessible.

My family also enjoys the beverage center and while I was hesitant that we wouldn’t find the refillable pitcher useful, I could argue now that we find it more useful than the actual water dispenser. It’s also nice to have two options for ice.

The smaller ice cube is not like hospital or “sonic” ice, but it beats crushed ice and is a good option to have. The scoop also works great. My only complaints thus far are that the doors and hinges are set up in way that require more space and clearance on the sides than anticipated.

In the pictures marketed online, it appears that the refrigerator sits flush with the cabinets. However, this is actually not possible with the way the hinge and door are designed. Even with some clearance on the sides, the doors will not open or will only partially open; it comes in contact with a wall or cabinet.

Temporarily, we have moved the refrigerator forward and away from obstacles. Another downside, although anticipated, was that a metal panel in the door was dented in two places. However, I contacted the seller and settled the problem with no issue.

Dents can be managed though and that is also another reason we chose this fridge. With small children afoot, we liked that we could replace or change out the panels for a small cost if needed. Also, be aware that this fridge is not fingerprint proof, but can be wiped clean in no time! Overall, this is a great product and a game changer! We are happy to get away from the standard fridge designs and currently love the convenience that this refrigerator offers.

I purchased the 28. 0 cu. ft. Smart Side-by-Side Refrigerator RS28A500ASR. The Power Freeze function is great to quickly freeze frozen items that have thawed out a bit from the travel from the grocery store to home.

The Power Cool is a nice function to cool down the refrigerator from the constant open and closing due to multiple family members going in and out of the refrigerator. The bright interior LED lighting is amazingly bright and makes finding items in the fridge easy.

The 2-Minute Door Alarm is always nice to let you know if the fridge was left open for to long and a nice reminder to make sure it stays closed when not in use. The Samsung SmartThings App to control the temperature and monitor your refrigerator remotely is a very convenient way to check to make sure the rest of the family members are keeping the fridge closed when not in use to keep everything in it nice and cool.

The fingerprint resistance surface definitely makes the constant fingerprints less noticable and if you do see them it’s easy to wipe it clean. The large capacity easily houses all of our old refrigerators contents and has room for way more! All of the contents stay at a cool temperature even with multiple people opening and closing the refrigerator at different times of the day.

I would still purchase this refrigerator at full price since it works so well!.

I recently bought a new house with a beautiful builder-supplied Whirlpool counter depth frig/freezer that perfectly matched the kitchen. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that its measly 21 cu. ft.

(16 and 5) capacity wasn’t big enough to really work with and I was constantly going to the store because I couldn’t stage anything. Plus there was no room for beer, soda, or ice cream storage unless I wanted to keep all of the food out on the patio.

So I bought this 28 cu. ft. Samsung for the garage. It’s a beautiful appliance with a huge freezer and spacious refrigerator compartment that really makes meal planning much easier and there is room for beer, soda, and all the ice cream I can handle plus it makes far more ice than I need.

My only complaint is that it tripped every code required ground fault interrupter that it was plugged into to include two brand new ones on dedicated circuits. Hmmmm. Should I keep refrigerator or be code compliant? No problem, I like the refrigerator far more than I like silly government rules.

I replaced the GFI with a standard outlet and all is well with the world. I’m 69 years old and I’ll let my son deal with the code when I’m dead and gone and he has to sell the place. In the mean time, I promise not to stand in a puddle of water when I open it to get a cold one.

This is a really great purchase. There is a huge amount of space in both the freezer and refrigerator and it was actually relatively inexpensive for what you get. As an added benefit, if I forget to close it, it alarms to my phone.

I almost forgot. this unit does a better job of keeping salads, fruits and vegetables fresh than any refrigerator that I have ever owned. If you don’t need a counter-depth unit or a water dispenser, buy this.
