I have used my impact on car projects. it has performed well with the four amp battery. also purchased a quick charger for faster recharge times. well worth the money.

Use this a lot and really like the feel and weight of it. It is easy to use and very strong. I would recommend it to anyone looking fir a driver.

Great impact. Its not a 1/2 drive but is super helpful when you cant drag out an air hose. Its a super helpful tool in my mechanic line of work.

I have several air impact wrenches that I’m very happy with. I was at a buddy’s house a while back and he asked me to help him take the hood off his pickup. He came out with one of these, and zip-zap, we were done.

We were out by his barn, didn’t need a compressor or air hose, and this thing is so much more quiet than an air tool, and it has good power. Did I really NEED this tool? Not, really, but I already have other Ryobi 18 volt tools, so this was a no-brainer, I’ve already used it more than I thought I would, and I love it.

Powerful enough for engine disassembly short of the large hardware like head and main bearing cap bolts. Light weight enough to use all day. Convenient to take to the jobsite were air and electricity are not available.

Built in LED lights are convenient in dark areas.

I am a licensed mechanic and this tool works great, it is also far cheaper than buying of one’s of the tool trucks. I bought one over a year ago and have been taking off 3/4-ton wheel nuts with it, putting it through hell and it is still going strong.

That’s why I bought the second one, for service calls and have it when I am mobile. I do have one issue, The charger that was shown in picture when I purchased the driver was not the one, I received, they sent a cheaper charger.

This impact driver is very powerful. I have 1/2″ pneumatic impacts that this 3/8″ battery power puts to shame. This tool will remove lug nuts with ease, even with a small 2 ah battery it will remove all four wheels with plenty of battery to spare.

It has four different modes that handle anything. Removing lug nuts I just used the bolt and nut mode. This mode also has a useful feature that when backing off nuts it slows the RPM down once the nut is loose which is helpful in the fact that you can back off nuts and have more control not to drop the nuts.

I used this to drive 8″ long 5/8″ lag bolts into 4×8 timber and it drove them without breaking a sweat all the way in. I am very impressed and may not need to use my 1/2″ battery powered Dewalt impact it is that good.

Taking off the lug nuts, it did it just as easy as the 1/2″ Dewalt did and its much lighter. I highly recommend this tool to anyone. I have also used it in some tight places where my larger DeWalt was to big to fit, removing rear axle on an F 150.

It removed all the hardware without a sweat and it was less tiring than using the much heavier 1/2″ drive.

Bought this at the beginning of April to add to my battery tools at work (automotive). I use the red brand for most of my work but some tight spaces require a smaller profile impact. This one has the best torque ratings for its class so I was especially happy to have it in my arsenal.

It gets much less use than my daily impact so I was very disappointed when barely 2 weeks in, the impact failed. I went to use it and when I squeezed the trigger, nothing happened. No forward or reverse.

Tried the direction switch a few times but nothing. The LEDs and setting display both worked however the trigger did not. I have captured the problem on video, however, I can only post videos from YouTube, what’s with that ?? I really want this impact to be better and am hoping it’s just a bad unit and not something to expect from this tool.

I will get it exchanged tomorrow and hope the next one lasts better than this one did.

I have had this 1/2” impact for a few months now using it in new construction setting lag bolts and anchor bolts as well around the garage. the impact has a selection of setting depending on the task.

I have found I pretty much just keep it on the driving/lag setting for most uses. For my application I didn’t find the bolt setting to be useful as it kept making me think the impact was broken. It would rotate and stop and rotate and stop.

not really sure of the true function. However on the lag setting I found it useful. I do feel it is slightly under powered. Being a 1/2” the torque just isn’t really enough to break lug nuts on a tire, but is enough to set lag screws and anchor bolts which is really what it is designed for.

So if your going to get this compact drill for auto mechanic work, I wouldn’t recommend. For construction it works fine. I do find that I tend to carry my standard impact with 1:4” and 1/2” adapters and find that as more my go to than this.

It is nice to have. I would say if your a deck contractor it’s a perfect tool.

I’m a tech at a John Deere dealership. This is one of my favorite go to tools that I use on a daily basis. Powerful, lightweight and compact. Hardly ever use my air tools anymore since going cordless.

This is the second one that I have owned. I tried the gen 3 version but went back to the gen 2 model. I could not tell any difference in the power at full charge between the two. The gen 3 performance seemed to diminish a lot more at lower battery levels whereas the gen 2 seems to stay fairly consistent throughout the entire battery cycle.

This tool is amazingI bought the Milwaukee 2754-22 impact wrench for automotive work. I wanted something small enough to fit in tight spaces in my Jeep’s undercarriage. The tool’s power and size combination make it ideal for automotive work.

I was installing suspension components (shocks, coil springs, trackbar, swaybar links, and other misc. parts)and other maintenance and upgrades. Initially, I was going to go with a traditional pneumatic set up.

But, I think I actually ended up saving a lot of money going with the Milwaukee impact. I worked for a day and a half on one battery, and it still had plenty of power left. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this tool is such a pleasure to use.

If you are wonder which size to get, I went with the 3/8″ drive because it was smaller. I needed to get into some tight spots. I was worried it would not have enough power. But this tool performed beyond expectation.

Time will tell if the impact wrench is worthy of the price. I plan on updating this review when this thing has been time-tested.

I’ve been an ASE certified tech for over 20 years. I have always used mostly Matco and Snap-On tools, with some Blackhawk, SK, and a few others here and there. I can appreciate a quality tool, and I have thrown out brand new tools that didn’t perform.

I have Snap-on 3/8″, and 1/2″ air impacts, and a matco 3/8″ air ratchet. They definitely perform, and they perform well. Lately I have been leaning toward battery powered tools for the convenience of no air hose, and the unlimited portability.

So, I started with a Bosch brushless 1/2″ impact, which is a very capable tool and I was somewhat impressed with it, until I bought this Milwaukee 2754. When the bosch stops, the Milwaukee is just getting started! I love the fact that it’s 3/8″, which is obviously the most commonly used sixe, as I don’t have to keep track of an adapter anymore.

Just like the air impacts, the 3/8″ is my go-to tool. And just like the snap-on pneumatic impact, this tool has POWER!!! It’s been a few years since I’ve been genuinely impressed with a tool, but this little animal is definitely just that.

IMPRESSIVE! Nothing has stopped this impact yet. I’ve removed lug nuts, hub assemblies, control arms, ball joints, differentials, and lots more. Literally nothing has stopped this tool. My experience with cordlesstools was that they were radically underpowered, until I started with the Milwaukee line.

I now have a M12 Hackzall, M12 FUEL 1/2″ hammer drill, M12 FUEL 1/4″ hex driver, M12 3/8″ ratchet, M18 1/2″ impact, M12 FUEL 3/8″ ratchet, M18 angle grinder, and now this M18 FUEL 3/8″ impact. I love every single tool, and use them all frequently.

The poor bosch just sits in the drawer now! LOL Seriously though, buy this tool, and you won’t regret it. It is a very well rounded performance tool. Totally puts up a fight to the expensive brands. I’m still die hard Snap-on and Matco for my hand tools, but for cordless tools, I found my brand and will never buy anything else again! I’m die hard Milwaukee to the end! Thanks Milwaukee!!!.

This thing hits hard. I still keep the dcf902 as well to keep from breaking this think automotive metal fastener into plastic but this bad boy has the power to break some stuff loose. I’ve had trouble with the 902 just not having the power to get rusted bolts free but I haven’t had any trouble with this one.

I highly recommend. The guy at lowes was like but this is only 12v and I was like I know, that is what I want compact size and big power.

This impact is a great addition for someone looking to add 3/8 drive to their arsenal. I have the dcf899 and the impact is a little big for some jobs that need to be done. The compact size fits into a lot of tight places.

The trigger is very smooth for just tightening down with adding a lot of torque.

So far this impact has impressed me very much. Works great for many automotive needs, like exhaust clamps,wheel bearings/hubs, light brake work,suspension,etc. I dont have the protective boot and it’s a shame how beat up it is already but my work requires this kind of tool.

Stronger than Milwaukees stubby so it gives Milwaukee a serious run for the price! A 5ah battery is a near must if used daily.

I got this for a new job of working on big trucks and the power and torque is undeniably better than the other competitors. This is a highly recommended tool for anyone

Powerful, lightweight and long battery life. So convenient to use that I have not used my air impact lately. Time will tell how rugged it is in a shop environment ! Pleased so far!

This tool is excellent. Fits into tighter spaces and has some serious fastening/removal torque for such a small tool.

I am very happy with my impact wrench purchase. I was borrowing my friends Milwaukee Impact wrench to help remove the rear differential fill plug (which i could not get to budge with a breaker bar). The Makita XWT08M packs a lot of torque.

Care should be taken when removing rusted bolts, Tighten a little first before reversing out as the gun can and will break bolts if they are seized. So far so good using this tool. Ive never had to use the second battery since I use this only for high torque applications like taking off axle nuts, brake pad carrier bracket bolts, differential fill plugs, etc.

it is heavy but for the torque output, its understandable. Its been over two years since i purchased this tool on July 2016 Its still running strong. It will take axle nuts off with no problems. I recently use this for the replacing suspension components (struts, control arms, control arm linkages, wheel bearing hub assemblies) which helped remove a lot of large diameter bolts.

Get a decent sent of impact sockets with these kits (wobbliers included) and the DIY job becomes that much easier.

I bought it to run the leveling jacks on my toy hauler camper. It has power to spare for that. Also works great for changing tires and mower blades. My only complaint is the batteries are not compatible with my older LXT tools.

Price of progress I suppose. Highly recommended.

I put a breaker bar on a bolt and it would not budge. 3-4seconds and the makita had the same bolt removed. There was no stress or strain on my limbs to remove the bolt. The makita doesn’t twist your arm or try to spin out of your grip.

This is the best tool in my box!.

Just got this for Christmas. Got the 2960-20 tool only. Went to pull wheels off GMC 2500 and it won’t break them free. I loosened them with breaker bar by hand and then did them back up and tried again and it still wouldn’t.

Tried two different 5. 0a/h batteries and a 9. 0a/h battery. All fully charged. This thing is useless. Really disappointed. This was no where close to 600ft/lbs.

The tool is great. Excellent customer service! Ordered on a Saturday evening and received tracking Sunday morning. My only suggestion is to ditch FedEx, their service is horrible.

Its a good tool, but as far as line work its too big & too much torque for small connections. The 2855 is the best size, and plenty strong. Hopefully Milwaukee will make one for lineman, and put a quick-lock chuck on a 2855.

I use this drill for just about everything! I bought a 3/8 to hex 1/4 adapter so I can use it for impact drill jobs but mainly only use it for the bigger lag bolts and heavy duty screws 6” plus and it drives them all in without breaking a sweat! It’s small and compact so it’s easy to keep in my tool box yet so incredibly powerful.

I also use it on my truck regularly and it really makes life that much easier! Considering it’s just as powerful as it’s M18 brother it still makes for extremely long battery life so it’s also very efficient.

Another tool very well made by Milwaukee. Never had a problem with it and love the attention to detail with the rubber molding to protect the tool but also the product aka your car or truck etc! Highly recommend this impact it definitely has earned its way into my everyday use and one of my favorites from Milwaukee!.

My son was hounding me to get an impact wrench since he became a car buff. He slowly wore me down and I finally broke down and bought the M12 impact wrench after years of just using good ‘ol ratches and speed handles.

What a difference! I love the size and weight of the tool. The batteries have great staying power and tons of torque! We already had an M12 Fuel Oscillating Tool and this is a great addition to our M12 line.

I do small gas engine repair on the side, lawnmowers, garden tractors, snowblowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, leaf blowers etc. The M12 3/8” Impact Wrench is the perfect tool that I have found for this type of work.

It’s small and light weight and has enough power to remove the most stubborn bolts without shearing them off and stripping the threads. It’s still winter where I live and I have repairing and servicing a lot of snowblowers and the M12 3/8” Impact Wrench is my go to tool and it had already paid for itself in the first week that I had owned it.

The previous cordless impact wrench, charger, and one battery was submerged in water. It was a top of the line, brands, but not Dewalt. I have a line of Dewalt cordless with charging/battery system, corded hand tools, and table equipments.

Lately, in realigning my wood shop, I purchased a few Bauer cordless tools, including a charger and battery system. Two Bauer cordless (one of them being the impact wrench), a charger and battery would have cost just one top of the line battery and charger.

Plus, I would had have to spend additional cash to replace the cordless impact wrench. My other option was to replace the impact wrench with a Dewalt. Same scenario, the amount would have bought me several Bauer cordless hand tools.

Bauer cordless tools are just as reliable as Dewalt and the cost is much reasonable. One of the use for the impact wrench is to unbolt and bolt 9/16” pipe corral panels for my horses. Having a cordless is much convenient than using a manual socket and wrench.

I bought this as a light duty impact wrench. It can remove the lug nuts on my vehicles as long as I am not using to many adapters or flip sockets. As with any impact gun each adapter reduces the torque applied per impact.

When changing shocks recently on my van it broke free all the rusted bolts. The gun with a standard socket was just big enough to fit where needed. This is well balanced and comfortable in the hand. If all you need is a basic impact then this is it.

This has become my go to impact as it does 95% of the jobs. I have a larger one that I use when things are really stuck. Unfortunately it is heavy, unbalanced and far less convent than this little one.

I really loved this drill. It was a great lightweight drill compared to my original LXT Cordless drill. Everything was great until 3 weeks ago when I was mounting a metal bracket with 2 number 10 wood screws.

I had to reposition one of the brackets. Imagine my surprize when I tried to remove a screw and the clutch went out completely trying to back out the screw. It was only 1 inch long Luckily I had my Craftsman 12v Cordless Nextec drill for backup to finish the job.

I am quite shocked that this great product only lasted about 1 1/2 years. I still love Makita as I have a major investtment in alot of Makita tools and batteries but this one has me scratching my head.

No other problems from my other Makita tools, but I was hoping to get a lighter weight drill for myself. bad timing as I gave away my old drill and a couple of batteries to my grandson a couple of weeks.

He is just starting out in the tool world and I wanted him to have the best. Makita still one of the best.

a little disappointed because it’s pretty obvious it’s a used tool. some of the lettering here and there is missing due to wear. the tool was dirty. However it does work fantastic and has way more. oower than I personally thought it would.

but keep in mind ive never had battery powered impact tools up until this point so take that how you like. I will update at some point.

This tool claims to have over 200 lb-ft of nut busting torque but it cant even loosen a nut tightened to 90 lb-ft. It is fast and has a good auto stop in reverse mode. Great for assembly and disassembly and is very compact so its great when a smaller size is more important than brute force.

Id use a 1/2 inch drive for something like lug nuts anyway although this is powerful enough to at least get them started before torquing down.

I’ve been using this tool for about 6 months now. I have a lawn and landscape maintenance company and I carry this on my truck to remove lug nuts when a flat occurs (truck nuts torqued to 140 ft lb, trailer 80 ft lb) and to switch out blades (mower 85 and 60 ft lbs) on the job site.

I was a bit skeptical at first since it “only” has 150 ft-lb of torque, but I haven’t been faced with a bolt it can’t remove yet. I had watched a review on youtube saying it was under-powered, but I guess that really depends on your application.

I am sure they are out there, nuts this tool can’t remove, but for my application it has not disappointed. It does have a protective feature that helps keep the tool from overheating, which I have only triggered twice.

I didn’t particularly like it, but it hasn’t happened much, this is why I gave it 4 stars verses 5. When I travel in my wife’s I throw it in the back just in case. I like that it is much lighter compared to the mid-range impact wrench, which I keep in my shop.

I bought my dad one of these, since it has not disappointed me and it is handy to have around.

This is probably my favorite Milwaukee tool besides the new m12 rover light. Combined with a 6ah battery, no bolt stands a chance. This tool is basically all I need to do 90% of all work on my trucks.

Ive done suspension, engine, interior work, diff and transmission work, and It takes off lug nuts easily, it does literally everything. Not only does it spare your wrist from swinging a ratchet all day but the amount of time it saved me as well is priceless.

don’t let a 20-min job become a half day project lol I basically junked my breaker bar because of this tool. Whenever there is a really tight or seized bolt ill whip out the mid torque but its on rare occasions.

The stubby is an awesome little tool and I’m very happy with it. Get yourself the neiko 3/8 sockets and youre set! Highly recommend!.

I was a bit skeptical with this tool. I suffer of rotator cuffs on my shoulder and have a hard time appling strengh in many ways ( The rotator cuff is a group of tendons that surrounds the shoulder joint).

Today I decided to remove the gas tank of my Jeep Liberty for which I must loosen 6x 18mm nuts from the protector and 4x15mm nuts from the tank using the 2amp battery. In less than 10 minutes I had all the nuts in my hand! then I said to myself “let’s rotate the tires” and I couldn’t loosen any nuts eyyyy but I barely have it in the minimum speed.

when I changed it to the third, wow it loosened all the nuts very easily! what I like the most is its compact size. This powerful little tool was able to get under the work area without any problem.

I have several Milwaukee tools and I have always been extremely happy with there quality and power. I am a DIY guy but my tools get used hard and they get used alot. I have always been an M18 guy with my 3/8″ and 1/2″ impacts because I wanted the extra power of the 18v platform.

When milwaukee came out with the M12 brushless Stubby’s I had to give them a try. I actually bought all of them. This 1/2″ Stubby is considerably smaller than my M18 Fuel 1/2″ drive and still plenty powerful for most things I need it to do.

It us nice bacause most 1/2″ impacts are so large you are Limited in spaces you can get into and in many cases end up running extensions or swivels to get into were you need that greatly reduce your power.

Another disadvantage of the M18 1/2″ is its heavy and awkward to hold with one hand and or work over your head. At 250 ftlbs this 1/2″ stubby isn’t the most powerful 1/2″ impact you can buy but it is definitely one of the smallest and lightest on the market.

It can easily take care of 90% to 95% of most what you may need. I have had it for around a month and honestly it as removed everything I have asked it to so far. I am sure I will encounter some fasteners it can’t remove and then I will pull out the M18 1/2″ to take care of it.

The battery life seems to be great so far. I usually use it with the 4. 0 or 6. 0 battery unless I am working in a realy tight space and need to run my 2. 0 or 3. 0 battery for extra room. Long story short.

It’s a great tool and works well. It has tons of power for its size considering it’s a twelve volt tool. I reccomend purchasing the protective boot as well to protect the tool and whatever you are working on.

I purchase this Ridgid R8621B battery impact wrench to kind of replace my MAC air impact wrench(of 30yrs) for out of reach places. I didn’t want to drag out 150ft of air hose for my MAC impact wrench or haul an air compressor with me on out of shop jobs.

I didn’t expect this Ridgid to perform close to my MAC impact wrench but it did pretty well. I was surprise how powerful the Ridge was compared to other battery operated impact wrenches I have tried from fellow mechanics.

For the price and warranty I think it is a great deal. It’s not the lightest weight impact wrench on the market but busting loose very tight rusted bolts it does the job. I only have used it for a month so I can’t comment on how durable it is in the long haul.

Only time will tell.

This is the true beast of all beasts in the half inch impact world. This was ridgids be all end all high powered impact wrench. It even beat out the Milwaukee’s high torque impact wrench in a lot of YouTube tests.

I was fortunate enough to get the last one available in Edmonton Alberta, Canada at Home Depot stores (2022). It’s the octane version that can use the octane batteries (in addition to standard Ridgid batteries) this thing is a beast among men.

I have 2- 9 amp hour octane batteries that I also got on clearance and this thing is unreal. You probably won’t get it anymore as it is discontinued but I am glad I got one on the shelf.

PROS: -Tons of torque IF you buy the special octane batteries. CONS: -Standard batteries provide a massive reduction in torque AND tool run-time before the battery shuts down temporarily to cool off (not referring to battery life).

-Impact reliability, First one I got would sometimes fail to turn a lug that was started by hand and able to be spun by hand, sometimes it would put out some good power and sometimes maybe 10% of the rated power (using octane battery).

Second one I got as replacement worked great for three uses, then started to run odd (as if trigger was being feathered) and then it died completely except for the LED light. Conclusion: Could be a great tool if they completely redesigned it.

For driving screws, this tool is a MUST. When I started looking for a new impact driver, I wanted something with enough power to drive big lag bolts into wood, as well as drive typical deck and sheetrock screws.

So I bought the bigger M18 Fuel Impact driver. While I liked it for lags and larger jobs, I really felt it was just not very good for smaller screws, as it was difficult to handle and seemed to actually have too much power and want to jump off the fastener (square drive bits).

I had read many great reviews of the M12 Surge, and had to try it. Well, honestly the reviews were spot on. The little guy is pretty much the perfect tool for driving anything from 1/2″ long to 4″ long screws, and everything in-between.

It is quiet, smooth, and much more accurate when setting the correct depth is important. It is much easier to handle as well, and haven’t had the issues I did with it wanting to jump off the fasteners.

If your primary use would be driving screws, do yourself a favor and go with the Surge impact. I would also pair it with a XC4. 0 or 6. 0 battery so it stands upright, as the smaller 2. 0 batteries won’t allow it to stand up.

I am a loyal user of Makita products. Lately I have purchased a few Milwaukee products because they have some items that I can’t easily get from Makita. Last year I temporarily lost my Makita impact driver and couldn’t work without it.

There was a good deal at the time for an 18 volt Milwaukee screw gun including battery, charger and case so I thought I’d give it a try. I didn’t like it. It had way too much power for what I need. I like it a lot for mechanical work on cars etc.

I install cabinetry and I don’t need so much power. Then I found my lost Makita and life was good again. A year later my trusted Makita is showing signs of many years of hard use and needs to be replaced.

One of my employees has a 12 volt Milwaukee that I was really impressed with. I have the battery system already so I purchased this used bare tool to give it a try. WOW! This is a very very good impact driver and much quieter than the typical impact driver.

People can actually talk and hear when I’m working in close proximity. I am so impressed. It has very good control at slower speeds. It has four settings for power and speed which I keep it mostly in the #2 position.

Installing small screws in hinges and drawers slides is so nice and controllable. I love it. Its small and gets intotighter areas than my Makita. I wonder why someone would sell it after using it. Their loss my gain.

This is the “Surge” model which is hydraulic. This is what makes it so quiet and and controllable at lower speeds. And when you need the extra power for driving screws fast and deep it shines there as well.

The only downside is that you I can’t “feel” the screws tighten up as well. It just keeps going with not much in the way of sound pitch changing as the screw tightens up. I’ve over tightened a few times which strips out the wood.

I’ve had to get used to this and learn how it reacts as it gets tight. Minor issue, and the only thing I can find fault with. Batteries last a long time with this tool. It costs a fair amount more than its very similar “non” surge model, but for the professional it is totally worth it.

A very powerful 3/8 Impact wrench! Removed 10 lugs on a trailer that had original rims on it for 25 yrs! 8 lugs came off on setting 2 and 2 stubborn ones wizzed off on setting 3. Money well spent and invested.

Only regret they didnt make these 30 years ago.

Product is awesome. The fact that i could not order in through store to get the 5% price match guarantee was disappointing. Will be buying my milluakee products from local vendor from now on

Unit was purchased to replace a previous one that I was sure was stolen. Since finding my original in the garage, I now own two. In comparing the two I like the changes to the current one, it seems lighter, more balanced and the led light is good but would be GREAT if it was possible to have the light come on with a slight pull on the trigger and as you pull further the tool engages.

Working in dark spots, this would allow you to line up the project before drilling, tightening, etc. I prefer using the impact over drill now as it is easier to control. Overall, I think this tool is great! I like being able to buy tools individually, I think I have 5 or 6 drills that were included with other tool packages I purchased.

This impact driver is really nice for the price point. On the 3rd setting it can get a little crazy but if you’re on setting 1 or 2 to start the screw then flip it over to 3 to finish it off it works great.

It is a little bulky when compared to my brothers Dewalt but it’s also $150 cheaper so it is what it is. Overall I would say I’m happy with it. For a DIY’er like myself it’s more than enough power. I also have other Ryobi tools so being able to use those batteries was great! It just meant I could invest more money and get a better tool and not have another battery and charger that is specific for only one tool.

I’m a long time Ryobi user. Still have 2 of the blue-color Impact drivers from over 10 years ago that sill work great. Back then Impact drivers cost well over $250 and the Ryobi line was just new on the marketplace.

Took a chance on them and am glad I did and haven’t looked back. This new version with the 3 speeds is great. My old Driver periodically ripped the heads off of screws because the touque was so great.

This will help prevent that. The old blue Driver had a single light that was weak. These 3 LED’s is a huge improvement plus the bit removal is a breeze. My only real complaint is the Driver becomes a wobbly duck when a battery is not inserted in it due to the clip accessory.

I have other Ryobi tools so the battery will not stay in the Driver all the time. It’s unbalanced and there’s no way to make it stand upright without taking the beltclip accessory off.

Honestly I first got this impact and was in love made my every day automotive jobs easier. But after maybe a week. The lock ring that hold the sockets on literally just stripped off. Making it unusable.

Im not sure if this was just a fluke or what but you spend money and expect quality and I lost that sense with this tool. Also called Milwaukee and they had no interest in sending me any replacement.

Mind you the tool was maybe 1 week old.

I bought this impact to help improve efficiency. Didn’t know how great it would be. You can use it to change lawn mower blades, remove wheels and tires, head bolts etc. Great product. Highly recommend!.

This is a great impact for shop use. The size is just right and is very handy. The 1/2” drive we have is too heavy and bulky for some jobs but this one fits the bill.

Compared to that, it’s a night and day difference. Fits tight spaces and doesn’t stress your arm. Can spin bolts off with a quick zip Battery life is great, and the extra battery sweetens the deal Variable speed is decent (I’ll explain) Cons: Light and compact- ehhh doesn’t mean torquey Struggles with bolts that are torqued- great once bolt is broken loose or any interior bolts Variable speed is a nice add-on, the fastest speed is pretty much set because any speed lower makes it useless.

DEALBREAKER! The HOG RING- my god This is my breaking point with this tool The HOG RING is used instead of the retainer pin to keep the sockets in place. Yes! Very tight fit maybe a bit too tight! Makes a constant battle swapping sockets I have to jiggle, wiggle, tug and use my mechanic vocabulary to free the socket.

I’ve greased it, tried many forms to finesse the socket. Just needs brute force Today- November 23 2020 Picked up my tool and noticed my hog ring went missing, don’t know when- don’t know how Now tool is unusable, sockets will just slide off if not held in place.

I ordered a new ring, so will see if that remedies that. Couldn’t figure out how to check my warranty or even use it. Past my 90 days buy back so I’m stuck with it now.

I use this professionally as an assembler. It is constantly working along with my other 12v tools. I started with DeWalt’s 20v line only to discover that A. It’s heavy, and B. it’s large. On break at the store I was working at, I happened into their tool corral.

One thing lead to another and I bought an impact driver kit. The weight difference alone was worth the switch, but I can get it into a smaller space than the 20v, It runs just as long as a 20v with a 3ah battery, and it puts out all the torque I need.

Since these are far less expensive to buy on eBay vs a retail store, I’ve bought the rest of them here. (5 impact drivers).

I bought these with the intention of just having something cheap and easy to get into tools. Well. Now I’m about 2K invested into dewalt over the month. I have this little guy to blame. But it’s really been a great little machine for my car.

It pops everything off but the lug nuts. Def not a lug nut remover for performance vehicles. But that’s outside of it’s listed specs anyways. I hope they come out with an even further powerful battery for the 12v line.

I really like the compact size and weight against the XR’s and the Atomics. I really enjoy that it feels very natural in my very large hands too. Barely feels like a feather compared to the other big daddy torque wrenches I have.

Now for longevity? Been almost a month and haven’t had to recharge the first battery in the kit I received. Took apart a few parts on my cars engine to get the cruddy plastic cover off the engine. And now I also have a tool that can fit in those tight places and really get at the parts I want to fix.

Instead of going to a pro garage and paying out my wazu. Overall, I like the little 12v’s. I’m a repair guy and this is perfect for fast movement and getting around easily. STOP acting like this is a failed Milwaukee killer.

It’s not, it’s an even smaller format to get around in those tight spots and for the price point. This is a great little torque wrench to keep in the trunk for repairs. Again, not for professional level lug nuts over 125lb torque.

I have 150lb torqued lug nuts on my performance sports car. Too bad. So I bought the 899 and 895 just for good measure. My only odd discovery is that I found that the device shorts out the lights when I’m on clock wise low power.
