20 Best 3 Gallon Water Jug (2022 Updated)

I wanted a water bottle with a handle, sturdy construction, and made in the U.S. This one is perfect for my countertop dispenser. Thick walled construction and BPA free. Great quality and price.

As somenone disabled, it’s the perfect size for refilling and lifting, without additional help. I just wish it wasn’t quite so expensive, i would buy a couple more.

The insulation factors of the cooler allow it to keep frozen product cold for hours without the use of an electrical refrigerator. The size of the cooler allow it to hold within 2/12 & 3 gallon commercial containers.

I utilize the cooler to hold 2 1/2 and 3 gallon containers of ice cream as well as Italian Ice while at festival events. The cooler keeps the product held within frozen for multiple hours even though the outside temperature often exceeds 100 degrees fahrenheit.

I utilize a 2nd IGLOO 140 quart cooler as a dipping cabinet. These IGLOO coolers are great at keeping product cold until it is time to dispense the contained product to the public.

Quality we were looking for. A five gallon would be too heavy to lug around so the 2 gallon was perfect. Others we looked at had a cheap valve on it and didn’t seem well insulated. We’ve had ice water in this that stayed ice cold for two days.

Was a little concerned whether the lid would stay on but the white carrying handle holds it in place if the lid is put on properly.

I bought them for our family reunion as I was in charge of drinks. So I bought 2 5 gal and 1 2 gal and they worked awesome. Keep everything cold and clean. The heat was terrible that day and the flies were awful!! But these helped so much.

Lightweight and durable thank you the prices were good.

Like – 2 handles makes it easy to carry/transport. Good size design that fits in the fridge. Spigot lets water come out fast, unlike some others where the water comes out much slower. Bottle design allows you to drain all water from the bottle via the spigot, whereas other bottles I have still leave some water in the bottle and you need to turn it upside down and shake it to remove all the water.

Also like it is BPA free. Dislike – I would have given 5 starts but the plastic doesn’t seem as thick as other 3 gal bottles I have, but the pros outweigh the cons and I’d rather have the thinner plastic with all the advantages I noted, vs a thicker bottle without the advantages.

I bought two of these and both of them burst leaks within the first usage! I previously had thicker plastic spigot jugs that lasted 20 years and these things can’t take a bit of bumping in the car, bringing them home the first time from the dispenser.

One burst on the way home, the other when stashed in the car for an outing soon after that. Note I secured my jugs snuggly in a plastic utility box in the back of my vehicle so they couldn’t slide around independently.

Apparently just the bumps of normal driving after filling them for the first time caused these leaks to burst, in one case wetting a bunch of items I wished it hadn’t. Worse than a waste of money, this is a waste of plastic! I strive to avoid plastic as much as humanly possible, but if you must use it, it should last longer than essentially a single-use bottle! like these!!.

It’s early, so longevity is unknown, but so far these containers have been a suitable solution. Easy to store, dispense (in the refrigerator) and transport. One of the six bottles leaked straightaway but was promptly replaced with ease.

Completely satisfied.

I am so impressed with this cooler! I researched water coolers units for three days before I decided on this one, yes I’m a bit obsessive about getting just the right features but also getting a product that has good reviews so research takes me a while.

Of course I was still apprehensive because of the negative reviews that stated the buttons being hard to push or the cooler being noisy, or that there was a plastic taste. Let me tell you that every single cooler that I researched had these same comments but this one had so may positives as well as reviews stating the wonderful customer service that I decided to go with it.

I have been using it for almost a week now, and I have about two inches of water left in my first bottle, I absolutely love it. Unboxing and setup was super easy. At first I was disappointed that I had tiny scratches on the stainless door until I realized that it had a film that you have to peel off after set up.

I installed the water bottle turned it on and let it do its thing for an hour then came back to super cold and super hot water. My thermometer read 40 degrees on the cold and 190 on the hot which is colder than stated, my fridge water is 60 degrees so the temperatures make me very happy.

My buttons are easy to push and even though the water doesn’t dispense as fast as my fridge it’s not bad. My main concern when purchasing beside the longevity which only time will tell was how noisy this unit would be, well it was not what I expected at all, this thing is quiet! My tiny wine fridge makes way more compressor noise than this cooler.

I also read complaints about the noise the pump makes pulling the water up, well that is no big deal either, I think that people who experience that issue are not seating the bottle properly and letting the lines lie against the side of the bottle.

I also read in negatives the cold isn’t cold or the hot doesn’t work but if you read the instructions and do the set up step by step there shouldn’t be an issue. One of the last processes in set up is to turn on the buttons for hot and cold on the back of the machine.

I’m only speculating that people do not turn those on then feel the features don’t work. Lastly I only have one complaint, I wish the unit was taller. I see that I can purchase a 10 inch base to raise the height which 10 inches would be perfect but they are asking almost $80 for it.

This riser is black plastic and although a great idea, I feel like that is some serious price gouging. I am restating that I have only had this a week but all in all I couldn’t be more pleased. I purchased this unit from Amazon so I hope to upload a video review there soon to show how quiet this really is.

We love this unit. I got it from a big box hardware store as a complimentary review product. Loved it then, love it more now. We have well water, so having filtered hot and cold water is great. The hot side, which generates 180 deg F water for tea or cocoa, is used daily.

Its got a built-in ozone self clean option, or you can do a deep clean with powdered citric acid (sold everywhere, good for dishwahers, too. ). This later option requires removing the top and the sealed lid of the stainless steel water tank inside.

Not difficult. Filters last a full year for us. Ours is an older model with a single filter. Newer models have a 2nd charcoal filter. So, thats an improvement. Filters are readily available. After a whole house repipe, we learned our Avalon is “idiot proof” too.

We had no cold or hot water post repipe, and couldnt get it working. The plumbers had partially drained it, then forgot to turn the tiny shutoff valve back on. Once we found that valve closed, there was joyful gurgle sounds, and the internal compressor kicked on.

So, Avalon was smart enough to install safety switches internally to prevent damage in this kind of low water situation. There’s also a safety switch in the bottom sitting in a tiny plastic sump that shuts off the unit if there’s a leak.

So glad we have this unit.

I love how it keeps my drink icy cold! The ice is still frozen after 24 hours. However, I don’t love the mouth opening design. The product description did not clearly explain that the design does not allow a straw to fit through the top like the the original plastic jug mouth design.

I was prompted to not forget to buy my straw, and I did buy a new one, yet it is useless with this product. The straw that came attached to the mouthpiece also becomes useless when you get about 60% done with your water as it does not allow you to access the rest of the water.

I had to remove the straw it came with to get better function. Especially given how heavy the jug is when filled with ice and water, it would be much better if you didn’t have to lift and tilt for every sip but could use the straw like on the original product.

Also hoping they come out with a strap for this version. It is the best water bottle I have ever had in that it allows me to carry a large quantity of water and it keeps it cold better than any I have ever had, but for the price I would like it to offer some of the options that turned me on to hydrojug to begin with (carrying ability and straw use).

The color is great but something about the coating makes it seem to get dirty quickly, stickers should help with that!.

I got this water bottle during a Memorial day weekend sale. I’ve only ever previously owned Hydro Flask water bottles but have been wanting a half gallon/gallon water bottle that’s stainless steel, since I really enjoy cold water.

I was tired of having tk always refill my previous water bottles a million times a day but now I only refill once or twice a day and I am able to stay hydrated during the day at work. My order shipped fast and was delivered within less than 5 days.

I love the ability to have a straw inside that is removable and can be used with or without the straw. I love that the water bottle has a silicon bottom so you don’t dent your water bottle when placing it down.

My water stays cold for days. It overall is pretty light and has a nice sturdy handle to carry the water bottle. My only issue which is super minor is that if the jug falls over in the car it does leak sometimes which isn’t the end of the world.

I overall am really satisfied and find my first purchase through hydro jug to be of good quality.

This is mixed for me. The jug is big, beautiful, & keeps my water cold. However, the description was misleading & it’s heavy. I purchased this because I get this unquenchable thirst when I’m breastfeeding.

The description talked about being able to sip the water from a straw. At checkout, the site told me I got a free hydro straw. So i think it’s reasonable to say, I thought I would be able to drink from a straw.

Not the case. The straw is inside the jug and does nothing more than slow down the flow of water when you drink from the spout. The free straw that came with my order was not for the stainless steel jug.

It won’t fit in the spout. With water in the jug, it’s very heavy and the jug is big. I only have 1 hand available while I breastfeed so I can’t drink out of this making it completely useless to me. I didn’t realize the straw issue until after I washed all the parts & went to put it together so I can’t return it.

Beyond the straw issue, a customer service rep told me, while not recommended, the sleeve would fit so I bought one. I just needed the sleeve for the strap to carry the jug upstairs because I’m also carrying a newborn & sometimes a toddler.

Well the sleeve didn’t fit. So this was a disaster of a purchase for me. A lot of wasted money. That being said, the jug itself is very pretty, holds a lot of water, & keeps my water cold. It just wasn’t a fit for me.

Keeps your liquids chilly, like it’s supposed to. It won’t keep solid ice for days but it’s not intended for that. About the spigot, yeah, it drools a little after you release it. Nothing worth leaving a bad review over, it just drips a little when you’re done.

Since you can’t just shake it a few times, just leave your cup there for a fraction of a second after you release the spigot. The drips go into your cup and not on the table. Boom, problem solved. Lid stays on tight, I haven’t flipped the thing upside down, but it did ride in the back of the truck without spilling.

I have owned 5 of those jugs every time I visit my home country I leave one there for one of my family members as a gift. Then, I will purchase a new one when I get back. I only wish that Stanley was still making the 1 gallon jugs.

Nowadays, I own two of them. One 1gallon and one 2gallon, I literally care it with me every single day doesn’t matter where I am going. I make my own ice with bigger water bottles cut them out of the there and throw inside of the jug sometimes it will last me a couple of days the ice.

Stanley if you are still have a 1gallon jug in stock please let me know I’ll love to buy them from you.

Purchased for my middle school aged son for football season. We were all annoyed with it from day one! I’m not sure if maybe we got a defective one or not but ours didn’t have any type of seal/gasket on the inside of the lid therefore every time the bottle leaned or tipped, it spilled.

These need to be redesigned with a seal in place to eliminate that. This also does NOT keep water cold very long at all. If you are wanting something to keep drinks cold I would spend the extra couple of dollars and get one of the nicer insulated ones.

Besides those two downfalls, it is a pretty decent size and it does tote around pretty well with him too practice. Handle is sturdy. If it had the seal in the lid I would actually highly recommend this product.

Very easy fix for the manufacturer if it isn’t already just that I have a defective item.

I just bought this for my 8 year old son who plays outdoor spring/summer/fall sports. This water jug is awesome for us. Handle makes it easy to carry. The push/Flip up lid is simple to use, but I don’t know if I’d recommend for younger than a 6 year old because it does have a snug fit and takes a bit of effort to push up open and push down to seal.

It keeps water cold!! I filled it with ice then water, and it was still cold after 4. 5 hrs in 88 degree sun (no shade)!! My only gripe is that the screw-on top did leak sometimes. Now I just make sure that I wipe excess water from around where the lid screws around, and that usually does the trick.

I got it for around $11, and it definitely exceeded my expectations!!.

This water bottle leaks. I was so happy to find a large bottle at a reasonable price. First day of football practice and almost all of the water leaked out. If you line up the lid and press down as you turn you can get it in place so it doesn’t pour out, but still leaks.

I guess if all the water doesn’t leak out what is left will stay cold? Worst water bottle ever! I would rather pay more for a bottle that doesn’t leak!.

Cost less than diesel 5 gallon cans, holds up as well if not better. Ridget nozzle helps too, but sometimes requires a funnel do to short spout. Just be sure to spray paint & label Diesel Fuel so it is not mistaken for water container.

BTW, the work well w/water as well, They are slim and easy to carry full.

The Reliance Desert Patrol Water Container is the best value for transporting water for camping, overland and general storage (small container). Handle and hand grip on bottom of container make them easy to pour.

Three gallon size is nice for handling and working with, not to heavy. Size and shape make them easy to pack, transport and store. cheers,.

Nice features; size is good (water is heavy) good pour spout storage, good handle placement, and OD green is an awesome color. Initial leak test proved no leaks, longer duration testing in progress prior to 1st camping use.

Time will tell.

I received the containers less than 2 weeks ago. Today, one of them (sitting on the floor filled with tap water) was knocked on it’s side and it split open…. material is either too thin or too brittle, maybe both.

A TOTAL waste of money.

we pick up at least 6 gallons of water to drink and use elsewhere in the house per week from the walmart store in HSV AR. it was begining to be difficult to lift the 3 or5 gallon bottles thatb we had used for many.

I found these ! gallon botles on line at WALMART. com and they are PERFECT for us. they fit on our water dispener just like our old big bottles did. we ordered them and WE received all 10 right away WE ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THESE NEW 1 gallon bottles.

LOVE the color, the sturdy yet lightweight structure is a plus and the tight lid helps me feel better when transporting full containers. So nice I ordered more!

I am not a fan of branded items, but it was this or a 5 gallon cooler, which is WAY too big. I really wanted a 2 gallon cooler but there were very few available on any sites and were much more expensive than this.

If lid is not tightened really well it will leak profusely. I filled it with a bag of ice, a block of ice (I froze water in a stadium cup) and then with cold water from fridge on Friday AM. I then drive with it in the back of my truck for an hour and a half in 100 degree temps up a mountain (where it was 80ish).

I set it on a table at our camp site for the next 48 hrs, sometimes shaded sometimes full sun. There was still cold water left in it when we got home Sun afternoon. Its heavier than I wanted it to be when full (Female here) so I will not be filling it all the way when I use it for my kids sports stuff.

I bought this 3 weeks ago to use for an entire weekend of tailgating at a racecar race. Filled two gallons of cold water and an 8 pound bag of ice. It lasted about 2 days before needing to be filled up with more water.

I just out in another 8 pound bag of ice and it kept cool for the rest of my trip. It was hot and humid out, so I was impressed with the water temp the cooler kept.

I’m sure the product is top-notch, however I am terribly disappointed in the state of this product when it arrived. It was in “used” condition, clearly handled inappropriately at the warehouse. It had what appeared to be sticky soda residue on the outside.

In the inside was a Kit-Kat wrapper, dirt comprised of dust and bits of chocolate, and a few dead insects. I LOVE Dick’s as a store so this was a real bummer to see the quality didn’t transfer to an online order.

I wish I had taken a photo as I am seeing you can add one now, sadly it’s soaking in a dish detergent at the moment.

This product was described well to be “1/3 of a gallon” but it was my fault for not looking at how many ounces that relates to. It’s 42. 6 oz. which was smaller than what I needed, but that was my fault and not the product or its description.

So, it’s not much bigger than a quart which means not much room for ice.

Hey, its only a jug. How much feedback can you write about a jug? Not much. It’s nice and compact, it keeps the liquid cold, and it doesn’t leak. Thank you Mr. Coleman. Keep up the stellar work.

This product is the right size because I only drink water I bring from my home to work. I get two twenty minute breaks and it holds just enough water, that I don’t have to throw any out. It’s also lightweight and east to carry.

We had the top-load water bottle dispenser style for many years, and were perfectly happy with it until it suddenly stopped working. We discovered that there have been quite a lot of changes in the water dispenser arena, that prompted a great deal of research.

We decided on this model, and so far, ease of use, having a now, siphoned-action, bottom-load water bottle dispenser, and the overall design, are all perfect, for our current needs. The cold water was chilled within an hour’s time of installation, and the hot water was up to temperature in about half of that time.

Only time, and use, will determine if it has the longevity we had experienced with our prior, top-load, dispenser. We are certain that anyone that is making a decision to try this one, would be as pleased as we are, thus far.

I have had this cooler for a little over 6 months and I am so happy that I chose this brand. It is QUIET, compact and sleek. I have literally heard other coolers but never this one. The compact size allows you to tuck it away in a corner to make it look less inconspicuous.

The stainless steel is fingerprint resistant, easy to clean and matches appliances without standing out. If you have a smaller space as I do this is the ideal cooler for you. Based on the measurements it has been the shortest in height and width that I have found that fits both a 3 and 5 gallon bottle.

Item came defective from the manufacturer. The cold water feature was not working, it never cool down. Very disappointed since it was bought for a special occasion. Item couldn’t be replaced since it was the last unit available.

Still waiting for a refund even after item has been returned back to Walmart.

Replaced existing water fountain with this unit. Easy installation as water, drain and electrical supply were already available. Water quality is outstanding. Unlimited supply of bot hot and cold water.

Highly Recommended.

Easy install with no issues. Took a few minutes to clear the “debris” from the filter system. Other than that small issue it’s working great.

We still aren’t able to set this up yet, as the connecter piece was too big and were trying to figure out how to adapt it. Wish setup would have been a little easier.

I’ve had this for a few weeks and I have to say it fits my family needs perfectly! It says commercial grade, it does look and feel well-built. It came with clear instructions how to put it together, troubleshooting, and even maintaining it.

It’s a water cooler, it makes water cold. There’s a knob in the back that lets you adjust the temperature of how cold you want your water see description for exact temperatures. It also has the hot water portion which has a switch to turn off or on.

I like that and super happy they gave you an option for that. Save energy that way since I don’t have a need for that during the Spring/Summer time but certainly will during the Fall/Winter time. Other than that, it comes with a simple tray for catching water.

Not too keen about it but it’s not a big deal, they do offer a different one on the manufacturer’s website as well as other accessories. It’s super quiet, I don’t notice it on, even when I need a glass of water 2 AM in the morning.

I love it, my family loves it and I’m glad we paid a little more for this than the other ones listed on Sam’s Club. We now use this daily and have changed up our habits of drinking more water.

I have only had mine for a month. I could not get my hot water knob to work. Before I ordered this cooler I read about the problems people were having with it but I decided that I could live with the way it works.

Well I never could get mine to work so I called the company and he offered to send out a new knob. When I got it I compared it to the one on the cooler and mine was broken. Where the push assembly fits onto the knob the back part of it was broken off.

It was easily replaced by just screwing off the original one and screwing on the new one and now it works perfectly.

I had gone through 3 Primo brand water coolers before I purchased the Aquaverse from Sams club. It arrived quickly and in good shape. I set it up, filled it and had ice cold water in about 1/2 hour. It really cools the water to ice cold.

It is a quiet running machine, compared to the previous coolers I had. The water tap dispenses the water at a fast rate, filling a drinking glass in seconds. I would recommend this cooler to anyone looking for a reasonably priced unit.

This pioneer water jug is very beautiful with cobolt blues, reds, yellows and greens. The flower designs are also stunning. The jug is pretty big and has a easy to screw off lid. The lid just lays back and there is an opening for drinking.

There is also a large straw inserted that you can choose to drink out of if you want to. The straw can be easily removed so you have to ways to drink out of this jug. The larger lid screws off and on so you can fill it with the drink of your choice.

To screw the lid back on easily you must remove the straw temporarily. The one thing I don’t like about this jug is that it is not insulated so therefore your drink won’t stay cold long. I recommend using a ton of ice if you are transporting water.

Its nice if you have a fridge near by to keep it in all day and you just want to drink from it all day. I would not say this is ideal to take to the zoo on a hot day. I received this pioneer woman water jug for free for my honest review.
