11 Best 3 Inch Chlorine Tablets (2022 Updated)

Love this product use to buy Walmart stuff spent so much money trying to keep it clear was introduced to this by a pool place here in Newark. So I goggled product and found u carried it. Love it no more Pool problems!!! Just keep 2-3 tablets in skimmer.

Don’t even have to shock no more. Plus I bought stabilizer also same brand from u. So yep I just injoy Pool now and no more worries 😎.

I’m a retired professional in the pool and spa industry. Since leaving the business I’ve tried several different brands of chlorine for my own pool. I could not control the chlorine levels in my pool using a automatic dispenser.

Now with GLB. everything is working great, and my pool water is sparkling!! The old saying. “ you get what you pay for” is so true.

I have been a pool owner for 20 years and I’ve tried many products. I’ve spent weeks back and forth to my local pool store testing water and pouring hundreds of dollars of chemicals into cloudy water.

That is until I found GLB products. A friend introduced me to this line of products and I have had beautiful sparkling water ever since. Use the entire product line. Follow the directions & most importantly, know how many gallons of water you are treating.

These tablets in an automatic chlorinator, nothing better! These have kept our pool crystal clear every year, year in, year out! When our local supply store told us they were being discontinued, we freaked out, didn’t want to use several different chemicals in conjunction with each other to try and achieve what we were getting with these tablets.

Come to find out, the manufacturer told us they were still being produced. Only downside, the price this year has increased about 100%! We were buying a 35 pound bucket for the price of a 21 pound bucket today.

Don’t like doing it, but, that goes to show you how much we swear by these tablets. Willing to spend a little more to alleviate a much larger headache.

Best product I’ve found so far for my pool. I was using another 6-in-1 brand but kept having trouble getting the water to stay balanced and kept getting algae blooms. Swapped to this at my pool repair person’s recommendation and don’t regret it.

I balanced my pool at the beginning of the summer and, outside of adding the granules to my pool every week to keep chlorine levels appropriate, it stayed that way throughout. Highly recommend!.

We discovered Poolife Chemicals a few years back and have been very pleased with their quality. The pool chemicals work better and you use less then other brands. When our local pool store went out of business we found PoolGeek online because he carries Poolife.

Bought 50lb PAIL of ALKALINITY last year worked as it should, ALKALINITY increased and the PH did not increase much at all. This year bought 50lb BAG, of ALKALINITY increaser, It is not the same as what comes in the pail, the Ph went from 7.

0 to 8. 2, super high, the ALKALINITY went up only from10 to 40ppm. Now I have to throw in PH decrease which will also lower the ALKALINITY. Look at the price difference between the 50lb pail and the 50lb bag which is $27.

00 it does not make any sense the plastic bucket costs $27. 00 more than a bag. I do not believe “In The Swim” knows what is in the pail and what is in the bag, if they did they would not sell the bag.

As final notes, the so called ALKALINITY increaser bag is marked “Industrial Sodium Bicarbonate” which as everybody knows is a great PH increaser. Save money on the bag, spend more on acid, you can not balance the water with this stuff.

i’m confused. in 18 months or so they’ve gone from $100 (plus handling!) for 50lbs to $100 for 10lbs. and you can still buy 50lbs for $259. the same 10lbs deal would be $500. i’m baffled by the math.

must be that ‘new math’. it’s almost as if someone is preying on the math incapable. i do agree that they are a great way to chlorinate your pool. i’ve used them for years now. just dismayed at the price these days.

i get it, there is/was a shortage. but more than double the price in 18 months? we need a split star rating; 1 star for the pricing. 5 stars for the product functionality.

Maintaining a pool can be costly. I’m happy whenever I find a bargain priced product that works just as well as the more expensive version. These chlorine tablets kept our pool water clear and clean.

It does put chlorine in your pool, but it takes more than some other brands. I use to have to only add 1 tab of my old stuff to the skimmer to bring up the chlorine. With this stuff it takes 2 tablets.

Also you will not get what is shown for sale.

this product is great! using almost half of what I did before and its cheaper!!!. Nice having it delivered right to the house-no more lugging around 50 pounds. ordered in the morning and had it the very next day.

DO NOT buy/use this product. The “OTHER INGREDIENTS………5. 95%” will increase the Cyanuric Acid (CYA) without any control measures in place. There are only two ways to reduce CYA from your pool: 1) drain __% of your pool and refill with fresh water; 2) if someone in your city offers it, there are reverse osmosis trucks that can pull water from your pool, remove the CYA from that water and put it back in your pool.

Neither of these options are cheap or fast. If you are unfamiliar with what high levels of CYA will do to your pool water, either google it or continue reading. Either way, RUN from this product because you will eventually regret the results that these “OTHER INGREDIENTS” have on your backyard oasis.

CYA acts as a buffer for chlorine from the sun which, in balanced amounts is good. However, once it reaches numbers in the 90+, the chlorine is no longer effective at keeping your water clean so you can have chlorine over 5ppm and the water is still cloudy and green.

Before I figured out the problem with my water chemistry, I had bumped the chlorine to 11. 5ppm and it was still green because the CYA was around 100. One final note, it isn’t like CYA is some rare unobtainable chemical.

It is easily acquired at your local pool store where you can add it in very controlled amounts so it is a real shame that Clorox is hiding it within most of their chlorine products without telling their consumers.

Be careful when using this product. These tablets contain Cyanuric Acid, a chlorine stabilizer which is great to a certain point. Once you go over that point, it will over-stabilize your chlorine and render it ineffective.

So you will add more and more to kill the algae but it won’t work. Once your pool is over-stabilized, the only way to fix it is drain a bunch of water out and refill the pool, which can be expensive.

IF you test with strips, you can get a false Cyanuric Acid reading and think you need more chlorine. The only way to test it correctly is to take your water sample to a pool store and let them test it.

Clorox probably adds the Cyanuric Acid to get the tabs to last longer. You just have to be very careful that you don’t get too much. I normally use the Clorox products and have had good luck.

We have used Clorox tablets for years. This item came and had clearly been opened before. The tablets did not look like the ones we had used before and dissolved much more quickly than the ones we’ve had in the past.

Not so sure what was inside the container was what we thought we had purchased. Definitely not pleased with my purchase considering it was over $100 for tablets that cost less than half that last year….

UNBELIEVABLE GARGAGE! Ive had my pool for 8 years, I always buy a 50 pound bucket when I run out. Some of those buckets have lasted a couple years it seams and all worked fine. Im already down half a bucket in less than 6 months with this RX Clear junk.

Ive been battling a green pool ever since I started using these. Ive learned a fast way to bounce my pool back from an algae bloom is to fill my chloronator up and turn on high and by the end of the day the pool is back to near blue.

cloudy but blue. I then turn the chloronator back to low as soon as the pool starts coming back. Last week I put 7 tablets in my chlorinator but after 2 days the color never changed a bit. I thought my chloronator was jammed up but upon opening, I found all tablet were gone.

they ALL disolved within 2 days. The stabilized chlorine tab on the test strip showed low stabilized chlorine. It should have been pegged in the red with 7 tabs disolved that fast. The bucket looks legit but THESE MUST BE FAKE OR GARBAGE because there is a HUGE difference from all the other brands I’ve used in the past.

I WILL NEVER USE RX CLEAR BRAND FOR ANYTHING AGAIN NO MATTER THE PRICE. The funny thing is it says “slow disolving” on the bucket.

This is a big bucket of tri-chlor. You use it in your swimming pool or tennis court. Yes, tennis court if it is a soft court with a moisture bladder underneath it. This is a commodity. You buy this item because of the volume (50lbs), the shipping charge, the price, or you always shop at Walmart.

The only downside to me is that the tabs are individually packaged. I did not expect that, nor do I want that. This adds another step to the use of the product: unwrapping the tab.

Item rates 5 stars. DELIVERY “0” stars! Item was left at a neighbors house. I had to go search each house to see where it was left. Once found I had to lug the 50LBS. bucket to my house. Not so easy at my age 🤷‍♂️.

Been using this product for years. It is the only chemical we need to add to our fresh water swimming pool. We NEVER have a problem with the condition of our pool water.

These chlorine sticks are a great product. They go directly into the skimmer and do their job during the normal daily circulation. We have an in ground vinyl pool, and this eliminates a chlorine float that can stain the side of the pool.

Our pool is 12’x24’, and one stick will last about 2 weeks. I put one in each week, and that seems to keep the chlorine at an optimal stable level. We’ve been using them for about 4 years and are very happy with the result.

These work well in the FLuidmaster Flush N Sparkle toilet bowl cleaners – you have to pry off the end of the original tablet holders and insert these – much cheaper than ordering refills.

You know you need a lot for the whole summer and the 1 inch tablets are hard to find in the store(they seem to sell out quickly) so this is a great size!

Exelent quality and good price. I have tried many different chlorine tablets and some of them doesn’t work like this one. Kept the pool clean without changing the ph. Will buy again
