20 Best 3 Piece Golf Balls (2022 Updated)

Loyal to ProV for 30+ years. friend told me to play Kirkland for a round, I did and beyond expectations. Only problem was mentally getting rid of Titleist name on ball, so scratched out Kirkland and drew my line down center.

Now, I don’t need to do that anymore. Less than half price and performs as well as ProV! Can’t beat that! I’m a 7 handicap.

I found two of these balls and the value for money has been amazing. Best performing golf ball that I have retrieved from a lake with my 7 iron. Highly recommend holding up a group behind to try retrieve these bad boys.

Amazing control, I shoot in the low 80s, doesnt leave the flagstick in the wind. Putts well. The ball is a personal item, some like it , some dont. This is a great ball for the money. Accurate distance with my irons compared to Titleist, Bridgestone, Taylor Made, Callaway WarBird.

Ill play it. To each their own, but Ive beaten other competitors using those balls I mentioned. Just sayin,,,,,,,.

I found one of these on a golf course I was playing whilst looking for a friend’s ball. It was in mint condition so I kept it with the intention of trialing it against my ProV1s. There’s a little less on distance, (negligible), but as good as on feel around the greens.

I’m switching to these. The Titleist ProV1 is now retailing at the ridiculous RRP of 55+ per dozen. It doesn’t bare thinking about and using these balls is a no brainer. I’d already heard about these balls available online only.

Examples include Kirkland, On Core, Polera, Snell, Vice, Seed and Cut. They all get good reviews and all are far cheaper than premium balls. I see no reason why the average golfer should not switch to them.

I purchased and have played 5 rounds with these balls so far. I don’t think you’ll find a better all-around ball at this price point. They are great around and on the green and have a really nice feel on long approach shots.

They also seem to be just as durable as other higher dollar urethane cover balls. I would give these 5 stars but they are not quite as long off the tee as my preferred ball(TaylorMade TP5), 10 yards shorter on average.

Still, at this price point. wow!.

I have played several rounds with the Kirkland Signature v2. 0 golf ball and found it to be extremely competitive with the higher end brand name golf balls. They hit true and travel as far as any other ball I have played.

I am not good enough to use tour balls, and I do not know if the Kirkland Signature ball is in that level. None of my balls were cut and they appear to be very durable. For about $1 less per ball, these Costco balls are a true value.

I’ve tried several brands of Super Soft golf balls. Initially I settled on the Callaway Brand. However I found the Volvik brand was a few bucks cheaper. So I tried them and found they were just as good if not better and 3 to 4 dollars less expensive.

I’ll buy more, great performance, great value and amazing soft feel both around the green and off tee box. What’s not to like! Just saying. Best regards,.

I hit the ball consistently. I think it’s because they have a great feel & very easy to hit. I tend to have a lot more confidence, when I play with these balls. I’ve been using them for years and I will continue.

My favorite are the white crystal. They are so easy to find. I can always pick out mine immediately. I purchased the multicolored, for something different.

If you are tired of losing ball after ball and you want to stop buying boxes of balls or getting excited when you find 2 balls looking for yours in the woods, this is the ball for you. You will lose distance but gain the accuracy, I love it because now I know where my ball is going.

I am a weekend player, like to grab some drinks and walk the courses, and this ball allows me to focus on good times and not spending time looking for my ball.

This golf ball is a great confidence builder. I strongly recommend this ball. You should tee it up high. It is also superb around the green. Chipping and sand play is awesome with this ball.

Polara XDS golf balls, seem to work very well, I call my drives straight down the middle, and friends are amazed.

First, let me preface this by saying that I am a high handicap golfer (30hcp). That being said, I’m what most would consider a mid-long hitter, especially for my handicap. Driver club head speed is roughly 105-110mph on a good swing.

I went out on a limb and threw these in my cart after my last purchase, and I’ve got to admit that they surprised even myself in performance. To date, I’ve had my longest drive with this ball just a few weeks ago.

On a flat, long par 5, my tee shot was 315 yards. That flat fairway means minimal rollout, no downward shot, and it still carried most of that distance. I’ve been averaging at least a couple drives per 9-hole round in that 300-315 distance too.

I was quite surprised considering the ball comes off the face clean and somewhat soft, but I wouldn’t describe is as spongy as your usual “soft” balls in the $20-$30 range. Instead, this ball is quite responsive without feeling like a rock, and probably one of the best feeling ones I’ve used so far in my limited, high hcap experience.

But the performance doesn’t stop there. On mid and long iron shots, the flight was mid-high, and I carried averages of about 175-190 yards with a 7 iron, and as far as 210-220 with flushed 5 and 4 irons.

Keep in mind, these were early season rounds where the temperatures hardly reached above 55°, and I’m still getting these carry distances. What surprised me even more was the wedge and greenside spin.

Again, at my handicap, I don’t expect much out of my wedges except a solid landing and release. However, with these balls I’ve had a few spin back hard and gotten some really good hop and stops, even out of bunkers.

Putting feels as clean as you’d expect out of a premium “tour” ball as well. Again, the balls feels solid on contact without feeling like a rock. Controlling pace and line have been great with these overall.

Overall, these balls greatly exceeded my expectations, especially at their price point and my handicap. The reason I tend to stay away from premium balls (even though I might want a higher compression ball with my swing speed) is that I have a hard time keeping them in play.

I don’t like losing $4-$5 anywhere from 3-6 times a round when I have to take a drop. Unfortunately, I’ve lost 3 sleeves in the last 10 or so 9-hole rounds I’ve played these, but I’ve been impressed enough that I’ll probably continue to buy them.

At only $10 per dozen higher than the typical value balls, these are in the perfect place for even single digit handicaps that want to save a few bucks on balls but still get the performance they expect out of other premium options.

I 100% recommend people giving these a try for anyone curious about this ball.

I have been an exclusive Wilson ball guy since the FG Tour over 10 years ago. Best kept secret in golf. I was intrigued to see if there seemed to be a difference in feel in terms of the unfinished cover and it seemed to be so.

The ball had great feel off the face, went into the green as it should when playing multi piece uerathane balls. Nice flight with the driver. I haven’t played the finished version of this ball but my current ball is what I was able to buy up when the Duo uerathane was discontinued.

I got 16 holes out of the ball before it was donated to the golf course but really liked it. I chose this over the Staff mostly because it is supposed to be a lower compression and the cost. Sadly, this will not make much headlines as it’s not a Pro V, or Penta.

I played a box of Triad balls, I now understand this ball very well. I have been an AVX customer for several years and was told to try Triad by the pro at Golf Galaxy. I typically draw/hook the ball, the Triad ball cut down on the amount of curvature for my driver and irons.

I would say they offer 95% of the distance of other premium balls, a small concession for the accuracy and short game benefits of Triad. They fly straighter, check very well and best of all, putt like nothing I have ever seen.

I am a very good putter, but this ball has taken my putting to a new level. Now that I have gotten accustomed to Triad, I confidently hole putts from everywhere. I played in a member guest two weeks ago and in one round had only 22 putts.

I didn’t miss anything inside of 15 feet. I highly recommend this ball if you are looking to lower your golf score, it is not the longest ball but it is the best ball to lower your score. My driver swing speed is 93 MPH, I’m 63 with an 8 Hdcp.

Great performance. Long off the tee box. Great feel around the greens. What a value! My days paying $50 a dozen are over.

These golf balls are just as good as Pro V’s !!! The first time i used them i shot my age (72) Long off my driver !! Good spin on shorts shots. So far i have three of my golf buddy’s have brought them.

I have played all the top tier balls on the market and also many of the discount ones. Before switching i was using the bridgestone Tour B X When i wanted the most distance and the prov1x when i wanted more control, Also used Snell a lot as it has good distance/spin AND price.

Then i switched to the Srixon. Ill admit it was because of a joke on the course of a guy I played with would always say if its good enough for brooksie its good enough for me. Picked up a dozen and became hooked!!! This ball IS SPECIAL.

Big distance usually as much as the Bridgestone Tour B X or a pro v1 – And actually 3 of the longest drives i have ever hit on a number of holes on my course were with the Srixon Diamond. On average for me it might be a yard less then the Bridgestone.

But I don’t care because where this ball shines is the IRONS. I stop and spin irons and hold greens like no other with this ball True magic! On hard dry turf close cut greens where others are rolling off the back I’m stopping and holding.

Then you have feel, a great feel off the putter and wedge and just butter on the mid/long irons. I will never go back to any other ball for this generation of balls. Hopefully they keep up the good work on the next gen! BUY THESE YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!!.

I am a 20 hcp. I know that I am not a good golfer and I am not looking for a ball to get me to a 10. I have played the Z-Star and XV several times simply because it feels good when i hit the ball, but even better when I putt.

I carry about 220-230 off the tee with some usual draw and generally hit pretty high, in the 75-80 ft apex range. Swing speed is ~94. 7-iron is about 150-160. Gap wedge ~105. I did not see any distance gains on the Diamond when i played it this past weekend for the first time.

What i did see was a really good decent and hold on the green from my mid irons. I am not a very spinny wedge guy, but i did feel under control with my chips and pitches. The ball feels really good off the tee, whether with driver or irons.

But the Srixon balls seem to really feel good off the putter. I generally 2-putt or better, and getting better. The confidence that I feel with this ball is as good as I feel with any other. I would agree that this ball kind of fits between the Z-Star and the XV.

I did shoot the best score that I have shot in a while. Still in the 90’s but good for me. I only lost one ball, Due to a really, really bad swing. If you play the Z or XV, this ball is every bit on par with those.

I used to use the Soft Feel ball as it felt great around the greens. I did sacrifice a little distance with those but 100 yards and in is where golf really counts. I saw the new technology implemented into the new qstar and decided to try, as I’m an avid srixon ball player.

My distance increased off the tee with these, not outrageously but just enough to make up those noticeable ones I lost from the soft feels. Where I really found where this ball performs best was around the green.

I saw more visual check up with the new qstar than I’ve ever seen, in my own game not the pros, compared to the pro-v balls. The feel is great, my distances are right where I would like to see them, and my precision around the green is much better than it used to be.

This is now my favorite ball moving forward.

I have been playing ERC soft for 2 years now. both models (1st and second generation). The ball is great for mid to low swing speeds. Mine is around 85mph. It goes high and straight if u hit it good.

I have a power fade shot that is pretty consistent with this ball. Approach shots 7 iron down can actually hold the green if u can get the ball in the air which is no problem for me. If u hit low shots it’s gonna run out on you.

not the balls’ fault!!! It has decent spin around the greens but NOT great!! U have to play the roll out and/or control it with trajectory. U must learn this or it will roll out on u big time. This is the only reason I’m not giving it a five star.

But if u can and love hitting greens’ without paying $50 a box for the extra spin. this could be your ball. The putting lines r a plus too if the lines don’t distract u on approach shots. I’m 50 yrs young and a 9 handicap.

Great Golf Ball at a Fantastic price. For barely over $1. 00 a ball, you get a soft feel that nearly rivals balls costing four times the amount. Although inexpensive, it doesn’t play like those “rocks” that try to pass as golf balls in a similar price range.

Of course you can’t beat the “Pro Ball” feel of the expensive golf balls but this definitely doesn’t hurt as much when you dump a whole sleeve of brand new balls trying to get over that lake protecting that nemesis green.

Definitely worth it.

These balls are ok for a budget ball, but I prefer a ball like the Noodle to these. However, these come in fun colors which I really like. The downside is that the green and blue balls can be hard to track.

I usually average 275-280 off teebox, but that changed after I hit my first Chaos golfball. My friend Big E found a Chaos golfball in the woods, and kindly let me try it. First tee shot with a Chaos Ball went 315 yards.

I was a diehard Duo Professional ball golfer for years. Absolutely loved the softer feel and distance I got out of that ball. After finding out Wilson was discontinuing that ball, I asked them what it was being replaced with.

Their reply was the Triad. I bought a dozen and instantly noticed these are a much harder feeling ball than the Duo Professional. It felt like I was hitting a Pro V1. That may be great for many people, but if you are the kind of player that like the felt of the Duo Pro, you’re going to need to find another manufacturer to find a 3-piece ball that has a similar feel.

Looks like I will begin the search for a new golf ball, and Wilson will no longer be in my bag. Very disappointing.

I have been playing the Z-Star for about 3 years because it is a good ball for the money. After looking at the Ball Lab on MyGolfSpy, I decided to give some other balls a try. I also decided that with my 17 handicap, I should probably look at a less expensive ball.

Two balls fit the bill to try first; the Triad and the Taylormade Tour Response. I settled on the Triad going forward because it felt great off of every club. except the putter, and performed as well as anything I had played with so far.

At first, I hated the way it felt on the putter. it is just so soft compared to the Z-Star. My first nine I had 8 putts above my average. It just never felt right. My back nine and the subsequent rounds have been a lot better.

I have adjusted and I have found it to roll very true. The ball is a great quasi-value ball and earned itself a spot in my bag.

Very good feel, not as soft as a pro V but similar feel. Also might not be as long, maybe 5-10 yards shorter than the Pro V. Price is good.

I have been using the Volvik VIVID balls for 2 years now and absolutely love them!! I am an average golfer with a ~15 handicap, 270 average drive, and about 100 mph (not fast) swing speed. I have used about every ball out there; ProV1, TPX5, Chrome, Z-Star (played for many years), B330.

This Volvik gives every one of those a run for their money! It has great distance and flies very true. It produces enough spin and bite that you can stop the ball on the green at 200 yds with a 5-iron! The feel off the club is great, let’s you know if you’ve hit it right.

It’s also very soft on the putter. I prefer the green for better visibility, but the color is all about your choice. In my opinion this 3-piece ball is on the same level as those other 5-piece designs for a MUCH better price! If you are trying to improve you game and want a reliable ball but not spend a small fortune, the Volvik is something you should definitely look at!!.

The Volvik Vivid Matte has been one of the balls in my regular rotation for a few years. Definitely one of the straightest balls off my driver and long irons (e. g. , even with mis-hits). Jumps off club faces with a very satisfying “click”.

It doesn’t have a urethane cover so you won’t get the buttery feel that a urethane cover offers. Short irons spin pretty well for a mid-price ball, I don’t have any problems stopping the ball (within 8 feet) on the green from inside 130 yards.

But again, if you are looking to really spin a ball back then a ball with urethane cover will be better. Certainly its one of the most easily tracked/seen balls on the market. Holds up well as long as you stay off the cart paths.

Had used this ball after winning a dozen at a golf tournament. Didn’t think much of it until I noticed a 10-15 yard increase in distance against my 3-times a week golf group. On two holes on a recent round, I actually outdrove these guys by 35 yards.

I was certainly on mechanically, but this ball is a serious contender for game improvement. The matte finish can be a question mark if you regularly use the normal polished ball, but once you’re used to it, it is an outstanding performer.

And, the yellow version is both highly visible and a real point of discussion by those who don’t know about it.

I was very excited to buy and try the yellow 2021 Titleist ProV1. I have been trying out a wide variety of balls as of late to really have a short list of balls I will buy and play. My first impression with the packaging was WOW these are premium balls.

The actual balls themselves looked nice, however they felt harder then I expected given I have played older versions in the white color and they felt softer then these new 2021 yellow ones. I have played two rounds of golf with them and I have to say they are disappointing.

I can honestly say they seemed shorter in distance with the driver then any other balls I have played as of late. The spin on the irons and wedges didn’t impress me either. I sent Titleist a message asking if the yellow balls had a different cover, or hardness compared to the yellow and they said they are all the same, white or yellow.

I will stick with Z-stars, TP5, and Top Flite Gammers.

When I ordered personalized Pro V1s TGW website stated it takes 10 days before they would ship. After almost 3 weeks still no updates so I emailed customer service and they said the manufacturer is running behind and is now 15 days.

I requested they update their website, which it kind of is. It now states 15 days, but it is really 15 business days at best. So plan on almost a month out for personalized Pro V1s. Product is great after all they are Pro V1s.

Woah, these are for real. I normally play a mid level/mid priced Titleist trufeel/velocity and these balls played better for my short game for me. Consistent launch. Good stop to them. Maybe they play different for other people, but I give these 5 stars considering the surprisingly good performance and especially low price.

Average golfer with a handicap range of +15-20, therefor golf ball focus is more for feel than anything else. Ive played Pro V1, TP5x, and Vice balls amongst other brands in the past. After finding out that Kirkland was sued by Titleist over the 4 piece ball I looked into their 3 piece design.

I have not noticed any changes in performance compared to other balls. Feel off the club is great. I recommend this ball to any golfer especially someone who only plays up to 50 times a years. For the price and performance you cant beat it.

These are in essence a good ball. They are very resistant to scuffing yet have plenty of grip on the course when chipping (depending on how you chip). My colleague is a 4 handicap and tends to chip with a high floaty shot, but not even Pro v’s check up for him like you would expect! I tend to have a descending strike on the ball and these things stop very well.

I have been a Z star player for years now and only happened upon these by finding a few on the course. I have never been disappointed with their performance for the price.

These balls are great for recreational golf, mid to high handicappers, or if you are playing an unfamiliar course. I personally like a softer ball. Usually go with Callaway super soft or Vice pro soft.

However, for the money, these have a nice feel, decent action close to the green. Probably not a favorite ball for tournament play, but you don’t feel too bad if you put one one the water!.

Pleasantly surprised at the way this product performed. They jumped off the club as if they were a higher end Calloway. soft landing and also durable; aka tree and cart path tough. Don’t let the cheap price fool you, good value.

Bought 300 of these golf balls for a golf tournament gift bag give away. They are advertised as long and straight, and that they are! Many of the golfers were impressed with the distance and flight of this low spin golf ball.

Of the one hundred golfers that participated in the tournament, the Bullet. 444 golf ball won the long drive and captured the $100. 00 prize!.

A great ball at an affordable price. The bright color is easy to see from tee to green. If you play a golf course that has a hole near a driving range your shot gets near the range balls, this one will stand out.

Soft cover enhances feel provides better spin around the greens so the ball checks up with limited roll out. Stand out make a statement by opting to ditch the boring white golf balls.

I am a 58 year old woman and my club speed is about 89 mph off the tee. The ball speed is about 125 mph (according to Callaway and Ping – I play a Callaway/Ping bag). According to Calloway’s website these balls are for someone who hits at my speed and up to 95 mph.

and these Supersofts are absolutely phenomenal. I am here to tell you that Callaway is correct. I have tried many many many different brands of balls to see if they hold up to the Callaway Supersoft low compression, low spin, long carry and long roll as I get older because I want the distance and control and I haven’t found any other ball that hits as long and as soft as these balls hit.

When I swing my club through the ball it is like hitting through soft butter and I tried the Titleist Trusoft ball and it jarred the heck out of my arthritic hands. There is no comparison – Callaway is just a phenomenal super soft ball for me as a 58 year old woman who still swings a great club and still has great distance.

Do I recommend them??? They are the ONLY ball in my bag.

I’m a longtime Pro V1 user but recently received a sleeve of these to test for TGW, I was very impressed. I would say that the Z-Star is comparable or exceeded performance of many of the high end tour balls.

The durability and trajectory of these balls are their best features, for durability, I played nearly a full round with one ball and could barely notice any scuffing or marks. Regarding trajectory, I felt like these flew slighty lower but with a more piercing flight than the Pro V1s that I’m used to.

This was especially welcome on wedge shots where I hit a couple of nice knock down sand wedges that came in low, missed the wind and checked up quickly. The spin was probably slightly less than Titleist balls but nothing that significant.

Overall, for the price, a great ball, I may switch once my current stock of Pro V1s are gone.

The Srixon Z Star ball is great for my game. of al the balls I’ve tried I really like the Z Star the best. It’s my ball of choice for the foreseeable future. Long off the driver, workable with long irons and sticks on the greens.

The straightest and one of the longest balls I play. Durable, high quality, I’ve turned a lot of friends on to these from scratch players to beginners. I really prefer the lower pitch sound from tee to green to the category leader which sounds like a stick breaking.

So I bought a sleeve of three both the RXS and RX. Hit too many bad shots to with the RX to give them a fair shake (my problem, not the balls). The RXS though ended up being what I used the rest of my round.

Off the tee they felt. great, but the distance I am not sure was quite there. However I dont think this was the balls fault as every shot was in to the wind and course was wet so 0 roll out. However.

iron shots are just absolutely pure with these, and around the green. just perfection. Buttery smooth on chips and wedge shots. Plan to pick up a full box today. If these were in the 35-40 dollar range.

I would never play anything else. 50. 00 I feel is too expensive for a dozen. My usual ball are the vice pro’s For what its worth my iron swing speeds are in the mid 70’s to low 80’s. Drive upper 80’s to low 90s mph.

I’ve been playing the Titleist V1 & V1x for well over a decade and Im a 7 handicap. I decided to give these a go and after about 5 rounds so far, I can honestly say they’re just a bit longer off the tee & irons vs.

The v1x (my normal ball). This is the ball Freddy Couples is using. I wanted to give it an honest test now that I’m not hitting it as long as I used to when I was younger. I rarely drive one over 280 nowadays.

Did I gain a magic 20 yards vs. The v1x? No. it’s maybe just a few paces longer and I’ve had the opportunity to hit both balls on the course back to back. as well as comparing my drives to where I “normally” am in the fairway with the V1x.

It also is great around the greens with ability to stop and I must say. off the putter-face. it’s softer for sure.

Exactly what I was expecting. Balls arc gracefully towards nearest water hazard, bunker or out of bounds area. Low buoyancy ensures retrieval prospects from aquatic resting places are minimalised. Smooth roll allows full run out of putts to maximise distance of return effort.

Excellent feel on connection with blade edge. Piercing trajectory of said shot elicits comical emotional response. Very happy with purchase 10/10.

I am 79 with an average swing speed of 72mph. I love this 58-compression ball compared to other low compression types I have tried and has added a little more distance off the tee and irons. The soft feel is nice for me too.

I play in a winter golf league, having to do with indoor simulated golf, with the screen. I have health issues and play only indoor golf and team play league is with my son. This white ball is the best for my swing and is straight too! Been playing since age 11.

Two thumbs up for this Kalea ball over others of low compression, for my need.

Purchased these for my wife who is an accomplished golfer with an average swing speed @ 65MPH; the ball feels soft and is explosive off the tee box; she has increased her launch angles by about 8 degrees and added approximately 15-yards to her drives.

More importantly, fairway woods and approach shots have increased their respective launch angles and workability around the greens is also improved. Strongly recommended for mid-to-slower swing speeds.

I’m a high-handicapper. Love the feel of these balls especially the performance around the greens. I believe I achieve more distance when I use this brand. I would recommend to others with slower swing speed.

Bought a dozen of the new TaylorMade Tour Response Striped golf balls just to give them a try on the course. I bought the golf balls for the alignment feature and wasn’t expecting any real improvement in my game.

I went to my usual golf course in Sun City Summerlin Las Vegas “Palm Valley”, a course I know very well. I teed up on the first hole which is a par five 512-yard hole. WOW WEE – On my very first drive I hit the golf ball an extra 60 yards straight down the fairway.

My next hit with my 5 wood and I was just 40 yards from the green. I chipped onto the green and rolled within 8 feet of the hole for my birdy putt. I picked up my new TaylorMade Tour Response Striped golf ball, cleaned the ball and set my putting alignment with the alignment feature of this new ball.

A perfect hit, a perfect roll and my first birdy for my round today. OK – just beginners’ luck – Right? WRONG! I continued to hit this ball farther than any golf ball I have ever used for the next 17 holes! I came home that day and ordered 4 more dozen TaylorMade Tour Response golf balls.

Mixed it up this time with the striped, yellow and white balls. Since then and a dozen games of golf later these new TaylorMade Tour Response golf balls have changed my game! They are now the only ball that I care in my bag! I am over 70 years old, and I do not have the swing speed I did form years past so having this new technology in my golf game makes me feel 20 years younger! Makes me think seriously about trying out some of the new TaylorMade clubs and see just how much better I can get with the technologies that are now available to all of us!.

The short answer is this is a very good ball, and I am impressed. I was drawn to this ball because I have lost a bit of swing speed at 65 with a 5 HCP from 6000 yards and am searching for a new ball.

Just cannot compress the ProV anymore. I am trying out all the balls on the market in the 70 to 75 compression range with a three layer construction. Right now, this Tour Response is in a head to head competition with one other ball, having eliminated 4 other balls.

I go out on the course alone and hit several balls in a variety of conditions. Tee, 150, 125, pin side wedge and of course fairway clubs. It is easy to see the difference quickly. When 3 balls of brand X are six yards short of brand Y you can eliminate fast.

Then once I get two brands, I like I play at least two rounds with them. Sometimes I play 9 holes with one and 9 holes with a second ball. There are a bunch of new balls in my shag bag, but not these Tour Response.

I find these to be about 2 – 3 yards farther than the ball they are competing with mostly because the competition ball is stopping instantly on the greens and these seem to release with a bit more forward motion.

And of course, there are pros and cons to that situation based on the greens being firm or soft, wet or dry and so on. Softness off the club face is very good. Trajectory for me is high and I am a lower ball striker so that is a plus.

Right now, I am undecided and going to keep playing these for a few more rounds. If showed up on the first tee with only a few of these in hand I would not be disappointed and be pleased to play them.

This ball is consistent, durable, and gives me the distance I need as a slower swing player. Yup, you read that right, my driver swing speed is about 88-89 mph which a lot of folks would categorize in the “slow swing speed”.

There’s a lot of misinformation that slow swing speeds can’t play a higher compression tour ball, let alone an “X” ball. Not true. This is not 2002 when ball cores were liquid. All balls have a rubber core and anyone swinging over 80mph can compress these firmer models.

In fact, several sites like Today’s Golfer and MGS have done tests that show slow swing speed players benefit from balls like the TP5x. And no, not all balls are made the same. Take this ball and a softer ball like the Distance+ and chip some wedge shots into the green.

You’ll see that the TP5x is a step above and in a world where all of us amateurs need help when we can get it, why not invest in a good ball instead of just new equipment. I should also mention the pix design is so useful to see your spin on layups and the roll of your putts.
