17 Best 30 For 30 Documentaries (2022 Updated)

I learned to use Casio, so when my professor told me I have to use this one I was in pain. It’s ugly to look at and type numbers. It hurts… or maybe that is my hatred for anything algebra. I mean to write, it is just a calculator.

It works is all I can say. Still Casio is better, easier, and not an ugly barf blue. Looks like what barfed blueberry’s would look like. If that is a concern then choose a different color. Casio in my opinion is easier to learn.

But that is bc that is the one I learned first. But I do know for a fact Casio is better organized.

I recently purchased this calculator to have at home. I’ve been teaching middle school math for a couple decades and this is the calculator we’ve used. It is reliable, can withstand repeated falls on tile floors, and daily use by ms aged students.

It has more capability than most of us will ever use, but may lack some features needed for higher level college/specialized math. The two line helps to verify inputs. The slide off case is handy far transport and storage.

It has a few quirks. The display is large enough but unreadable as the viewing angle increases. It provides “syntax error” when using a negative number in the denominator with the Ab/c function and a few other situations.

I went through school before calculators so these aren’t problematic for me, but might be for today’s students. The reliability, durability, longevity, and capability at this price makes this a great value.

As a chemist I use a programmable graphing calculator. However I also tutor high school and college students and have used TI 30 series calculators for that purpose for decades. This calculator is more than adequate for junior high school, high school and most college courses.

In addition it is a bargin. Most standardized tests and teachers who allow calculators for tests allow the TI 30 series. It handles calculations found in all high school courses.

When I was in high school I bought the older version of this calculator just because I wanted a cute calculator (the older version came in pink) Well, now I’m 23 and set to graduate with my degree in meteorology this year, and I’m rebuying this calculator only due to the fact that my original one fell victim to a bad apartment flood I had last year.

When I received my funds from renters insurance, I went straight to Walmart in a mission to replace my beloved calculator. I went to 2 different Walmart’s and both didn’t have the 30XS, so I settled for the TI-30X IIS.

I was so disappointed to find that model didn’t have the features that I loved the 30XS for. I did my research and discovered that the new version of this calculator is now blue, but the features are the same.

NOTABLE FEATURES: -Answers are outputted as fractions automatically and it’s only two clicks to convert to decimal form if needed, although I find using fractions when I can helps during multi step weather calculations.

-Similarly, answers will automatically set up with square roots and/or fraction form when calculating with trigonometry.

This was purchased for my daughter who is currently a high school student. It does every thing she needs it to do and then some. It does take a little time to figure out its unique key combinations, but that is the case for most calculators.

It has a fairly large screen for a calculator of its class/type and you have the option of using several different display modes including Mathprint mode. It seems to be a great value for the money since it has the potential to serve my daughter in more advanced math studies and is a fraction of the price of calculators with comparable functions.

It gives my son’s $100+ TI calculator a run for its money. Very pleased with this purchase!.

I am in my 40’s going back to school for an Associates Degree. In high school I was horrible in math. I was one of those students who struggled with the formulas and could not see where I would use algebra and trigonometry in real life.

I was apprehensive about college math since I did so terrible 25 years ago so I purchased this calculator to give me the necessary advantage to perform well. It did not work. no not the calculator, that performed beautifully.

It performs many of the required functions and is very easy to use. My brain is what didn’t work. I learned that even with an exception piece of computing wizardry, I still do not posses the brain power to do simple algebraic and trigonomic computations.

I STILL suck at math and cannot figure out when I am going to use this stuff! I would rather shove paperclips under my finger nails or listen to “”Baby Shark”” on repeat for eternity than to take another math course but.

THE CALCULATOR IS FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this purchase. I would sell you mine when I complete this course but I will be placing on the ground this wonderful instrument of the maths and smashing it to pieces with the hammer of Thor and then placing the shattered remains in my fire pit, dousing them with gasoline, and burning them all while dancing a happy dance and laughing maniacally.

Seriously. screw math!.

While the selection of episodes are alright, I do have to complain about the condition I have received this volume. Beaten up in comparison to the other volumes I’ve bought.

Wanted to get this volume for a while and finally saw it on sale. Liked all the MST3K episodes in this volume.

Love this show. Got this as a gift for Christmas. I know it will be loved.

I primarily create still photo content for Instagram, with a few videos sprinkled in. The Z30 for me is a way to improve the quality and breadth of that content by moving up from smartphone cameras. The package I got only came with one lens, but it also included the creator accessory kit.

Most of the value in the creator accessory kit for me is the small tripod, but the remote is also useful. I separately bought a macro lens for closeup shots. Part of the value of a camera like the Z30 is access to all the Nikon lenses that fit their Z models.

While the included lens is suitable for a wide range of applications, the ability to swap that lens out for others adds a lot of customizability to the base camera. The tripod comes in very handy for closeup macro shots because the camera needs to be very steady.

It’s also recommended to use the remote for shutter control to further reduce the chance that you might jar the camera when taking a shot, but I haven’t found that to be necessary yet. One limitation to the tripod is that there are a limited number of angles to position the camera, which can be problematic when setting up a shot.

The other really great feature to this model that I have relied on extensively is the ability to link the camera via bluetooth with your phone through the SnapBridge app. You can set it up to automatically sync the photos you take to your photo library on the phone, and since my photo library syncs across my computing devices, I can see each photo on my laptop within seconds of snapping it on the camera.

Now, you don’t have to switch between camera mode and playback mode to see how a shot turned out, and you can see the shot in much better resolution on the computer than on the camera screen. That makes it much easier to make adjustments in real time.

There are a lot of great autofocus features built into the camera that can automatically optimize your photos and videos depending on the content you’re creating, but you can also take manual control of the camera settings and tailor your shots very precisely.

And if you find you’re reusing some of those configurations frequently, you can even save those settings in three user-defined modes. There’s a ton of intelligence built into the camera, but you also have the ability to customize just about everything to your own needs or preferences.

Add in the ability to sync over bluetooth and wifi, and there’s not much you can’t do with this camera.

If it has happened; then, it can happen. And, if it could happen then and there; then, it can happen HERE and NOW. In some ways, the documentary: The World at War is about once upon a time called RIGHT NOW except, the weapons werent as good; and, the climate wasnt threatened by global warming.

As you watch The World at War, start a checklist of the countries involved; the description of the political conflicts; and the resources being fought for; and, if it doesnt make you need to change your underwear; then you just werent paying attention.

One legacy of WW2 is an aphorism often attributed to Albert Einstein which essentially says that based on the technological terror crafted in World War 2; World War 3 would be fought with nuclear weapons.

And, the next war waged would be be by people using rocks and clubs. I hope he was wrong. Watch this documentary and reflect on today. Those who dont know their history may live to fight a war with rocks and clubs.

If it has happened; then, it can happen. And, if it could happen then and there; then, it can happen HERE and NOW. Watch, study, and enjoy this documentary. This WAS who we were. Have we changed?.

I have wanted to watch this series for many years. Finally took the plunge. Totally worth the price and trouble. This series is unbelievable. You will not believe the work and the craftsmanship that went into it.

It is one of the best series I have ever seen.

The World at War series is an amazing and comprehensive documentary. It covers the history of WWII from the causes of the 1920s to the aftermath of the Cold War and into the 1950s. The personal interviews and stories very much bring home the impact of the war on individual human beings (soldiers and civilians).

WWII also was the first world war to impact civilians to a very large degree (loss of life, property, psychologically, etc. ) and still has reverberations to this day and continues to impact current day societies.

Approximately 45 years on and it is still one of the most definitive, touching, and thought provoking documentaries on WWII. Lest we never forget the World at War.

It’s a great EVERYDAY (commuting etc) backpack for someone who wants to carry a laptop, a tablet, some electronics and a camera or drone or some such. Looks good. It’s more comfortable than some reviewers make it out to be.

It’s not really designed to carry a heavy load. If you want to carry a heavy load or go hiking, get something else. It can also be a great pure camera backpack for someone who wants instant immediate access to their camera spontaneously without putting the backpack down and carries non camera gear as well.

If you are OK carrying only one of a laptop or tablet at a time, the Think Tank Urban Access 15 is strictly better. You get the same quality side access and full back access. You get better protection for your gear and a pocket in front for papers or a book.

It’s more comfortable (load lifters anyone), and cheaper. If they changed the laptop carry to comfortable carry a 16inch MacBook Pro and a 12. 9 inch iPad Pro, it would be an insta-buy for me. If you don’t need quick on the back side access to everything in your bag, consider the LowerPro BP 450 AWii.

You get side access to half the height of the bag from two sides and top access. The whole back opens up and you can carry way more stuff more securely. You basically get side access to the amount of stuff the Everyday backpack can carry period.

But it’s really a backpack for carrying camera/drone gear, a laptop and nothing else. If you routinely want to carry say a notebook and a sandwich, the Lowepro doesn’t really work that well. Again, great option if you want an everyday carry and in your everyday carry you routinely carry a laptop, tablet and say a tech pouch, a book and some camera gear.

This is particularly so if you frequently spontaneously want access to your camera. If this is not you, there are better options. FYI, the charcoal can be better than the black cosmetically over the long run because it does better with dirt and the mag latch is chrome and so does not show scratches like the black mag latch on the black.

The Peak Design Everyday Backpack provides the following (in no particular order): 1) Organizational options that allow the least organized to consider the benefits of orderliness (multiple pockets in each compartment, removable dividers in the main storage area, slots for a laptop, tablet, maybe even a Kindle or smaller device too).

I needed a good sturdy bag that would be a good size with good sturdy wheels. I decided to look for a bag with very “large” sized wheels. The reason now, as to why I look for large wheels is due to minimizing the wear and tear that happens with the wheels depending on their size and make, as well as extend it’s use as long as possible.

This bag is a good size. Plenty of room. You can fit quite a bit of things in it. It runs almost as big as a “hockey” sized bag. A nice set of very large wheels. It has 4 zipper type pockets. A shoulder strap, handles, straps with clasps to secure and a zippered compartment for the handle.

The material is good. It’s not super durable. I bought this bag 2 weeks ago. It arrived just in time for me to transfer the stuff I usually bring to my mother’s for a few days from my old bag to this one.

Last Friday, I tossed it into the cab and was off. By the time I got where I was going and started unpacking, I noticed small “burn” tears. And THIS was EXACTLY what was bugging me on whether I should send the bag back and look for something else or keep it.

The issue I have with this bag is that it does not have any “stoppers”. Basically they are little “round” feet made into some duffle bags allowing them to stand. They also serves as some type of protection.

Without them the area is exposed more to the ground. And should you ever end up dragging the bag unintentionally, there is nothing to stop the bottom from being torn from friction. The bag itself is more designed to be set down the long way as it has a rest to protect the bottom and raise it a bit off the ground.

You lie it down and you pick it up and roll it using the handle. If this bag had those little round “rests” on on the side, like other rolling duffle bags, this would not have happened. I have owned such a rolling duffle that had “stoppers” on the side.

That bag lasted for well over 10 years. Over time the bottom started getting tears. However if it wasn’t for the “stoppers” it would’ve happened faster. That bag was also a similar type like the one I’m reviewing.

So already this bag is damaged due to something that happened that I was unaware of. Now I’m going to have to look for something else and retire this bag for moving clothes. Rockland, you could do better with this bag.

It’s not a bad bag but you could’ve prevented this. Pros: Good large size. Lots of room. Nice large and sturdy wheels (The wheels are the best part of what I was looking for). Cons: No stoppers on the side of the bag for protection (Because sitting one area of the bag on the ground is not going to to destroy what you paid for over time).

Bought this for a cruise and it was perfect. It fits the dimensions of the cruise lines and held everything I needed and more. I used packing cubes for my clothing, etc. in case it burst open, but it was fine.

The wheels and handles are great for the short distance I have to “carry” it, however you give your bag immediately upon arrival to a porter to embark (and disembark), so it’s not a problem. Just don’t overpack it so much you can’t carry it to the car.

I wouldn’t use this to fly, just ground trips and cruises within driving distance.

I’m relocating and placing my items temporarily in a storage facility, so I was in need of breathable and rolling storage solutions for my winter clothes and shoes. As a veteran, I purchased two of these in the original cammy green color, which arrived in the colors expected.

These are very spacious, and so far, the rollers and handle works well. However, because it is so large, it gets heavy pretty fast. Thankfully, I’m not using these for travel, and I wouldn’t recommend them for air travel since they would be considered oversized when packed full.

They are probably great for storing extra bedding and other linens, in addition to seasonal clothing items. I would only recommend these for storage solutions or travel on a vehicle or on trains, if they allow large luggage.

If they had these in black, I would have probably purchased them in that color as well. Apart from my explanations above, another reason why I only gave this product three stars is because it does not stand upright, which means its sides or bottoms can get dirty.

I had to purchase a separate large, plastic rolling bin to hopefully fit two of these inside, so as to keep them standing up and protected from the dirty floor most often found in storage facilities.

I first saw this movie years ago at the Museum of Science “Omni Theater” where the audience was surrounded by a giant screen and sound. It was memorably impressive. I just recently found that it was available on DVD – so I got one.

It is still an entertaining movie, with a lot of historical facts included. Of course watching on home tv is not as immersive as the Omni, but still a great movie with well done camera angles of the Grand Canyon and carefully written script of what really happened during that expedition.

I only wish the writers would have included the part where Lewis is introduced to willow bark, which later became the wonder drug aspirin. Other than that minor omission, I would recommend this movie to all those who would like a realistic vision of this incredible journey and the courage it took.

After previously viewing the 4 hour Ken Burns’ documentary about Lewis & Clark, I found that the NG version (45 minutes) truly complemented the first. The reality of what the Corps of Discovery experienced way vividly conveyed by real people actually going through the Columbia River rapids, etc.

I think that the viewer’s understanding of the expeditions would be more enhanced by viewing both documentaries and by further reading. Our elementary school day camp will be studying L & C, and the NG film will be a great help!.

This is a true classic tale of American discovery. Its a documentary. Its not a product that derives status from its sale on ebay. For these kinds of recorded histories, you need a different set of questions.

This is a very pretty pot. I love the sleek look and beautiful shine. It is very large, it will hold a lot. It says it dishwasher safe, but to keep the shine to hand wash. I think I will keep hand washing it, it is that pretty.

The handles get warm, but not hot, I was able to carry a full pot of raging boiling water to the sink by the handles without pot holders. I like that the handles are riveted on and not screwed on, this tells me it will last longer and not fall apart.

Strong, sturdy, shiny, pretty, and large! I love how big it is, I can do many things with this pot! I am proud to own it. Overall I would definitely recommend this brand to my friends and family. I love it!.

I made chili with this the other day, and it did a great job. It heated evenly across the whole pot and cooked everything appropriately. The lid handle did get hot after sitting on the pot for 30 minutes, but what can you expect from a metal handle.

Then I decided to really put this through the ringer by leaving the leftover chili sitting for about 6 hours before cleaning it. To my surprise, the stains came right off in the sink. I went ahead and put it in the dishwasher to really clean it.

It fits in the bottom rack of the dishwasher, but not the top. I am very satisfied with it.

Cooks 8 quart classic stock pot is of the highest quality. It is very well made. The heft and weight is well balanced. Heated up evenly and did not have hot spots or scorch anywhere. It’s made with gleaming professional looking stainless steel.

I feel good cooking with this pot and material knowing I am not exposing my family to dangerous, questionable coatings. I have been replacing all my cookware to stainless steel or cast iron. Cooks brand is a smart buy and a great value.

I didnt expect much from this documentary but I was pleasantly suprised at how good it was. I was 6 when the O. J. trial happened so I never really knew the facts of the case, but it was always said to me that he did it.

Made In America starts off light hearted but things suddenly turn dark and vicious when the reality for African Americans comes to the surface. It was a grimsley reminder that we have been treated like trash by law enforcement and America as a whole for for decades.

Seeing that vicious treatment reminds you that the LAPD and white supremacy is synonymous. Would they go to the extent to frame O. J. ? During the course of events unfolding I definitely believed it was possible but after watching the bizarre behavior of every person on death scene and the obviously planted evidence I’m convinced they did.

Overall: A+.

It’s a story that continues to be expanded upon decades later. The format of this documentary lends to the story incredibly well. It’s not just about the night of the murders. This story goes deep into Simpson’s stories background and life on the field.

The version that I purchased is presented in a flashy boxset with en interesting shot of a bleeding hand covered in a USA flag glove. The timeline inside and other documentation is eyecatching.

This documentary is a well done, in depth look at the rise and fall of O. J. Simpson. From his humble beginnings to his stardom as a college and pro football player. Transition into a entertainment figure and the downfall due to domestic violence and double murder “trail of the century”.

It is a provocative look at race, class and everything in between!.

The OJ Made in America disc set was one of the best documentaries I have ever watched. 30O hours of riveting information. An American hero’s fall from grace. Beginning with his up bringing to his days of glory, ending in tragedy and the loss of two people.

A Must See Documentary! I want watched it over and over.

You would think you know O. J. by now or the magnitude of the event that is captured in his life, but not till you see this! This is not just a biography, or a detailed investigation, or a racial profiling of a wealthy celebrity.

It’s not just a look into the history of Los Angeles & the days our city burned. It’s not just a verdict that could have sparked a brush fire across our nation. It’s 30 for 30. (Nuff said).

i missed this when it first aired on espn so this was the first time i got to watch it i thought it was a very good production although the DVD and blue ray was a bit confusing at first i figured it out i am very satified with this purchase.

You need this product to clean carpet that have been saturated with pet stains. To clean stubborn or old pet stains from carpeting, start by vacuuming. Then pour enough baking soda on the carpet to saturate it.

This will take pounds, not ounces. Then dilute Harris 30 percent vinegar to about 15 percent. Use a spray bottle to apply vinegar to carpet. When you know you won’t run out of vinegar, you can use the pour method to apply the vinegar solution.

Allow this to set overnight. Then take Hoover brand ‘Clean and Restore’ carpet shampoo and dilute following directions. Pour this solution all over the carpet, saturating it. Do not waste time applying it with a carpet machine.

Use a carpet machine to suck the solution out of the carpet, after allowing it to set for at least an hour. At this point, the odor will be worse than ever. But this is a good thing, because the pet stains are now lifted and accessible.

The next step is to use Hoover ‘Paws and Claws’ Carpet Shampoo. Buy the large bottle. Dilute it at a rate of 4 ounces Shampoo to 46 ounces of hot water. Pour this all over the carpet, repeatedly, until the carpet makes scrunchy sounds when you walk on it.

Allow this solution to remain on the carpet for about 3 hours. Then use a carpet machine to remove it. This method worked for me to clean a carpet in a “sold as is” house. Now the room is usable.

I use this product for laundry and cleaning purposes. It takes out the stinky odor from work clothes, including gasoline. The laundry comes out clean and sweet. I use it full strength to clean the toilet and it takes water deposits safely off my faucets, shower curtain & tub.

It can be sprayed full strength on plants to kill bugs and larvae. If a weaker solution is preferred, combine with water. I highly recommend this versatile product.

Say it with me again, it is ONLY $240 and so there, “Rating: Excellent” for $240. I played with mine (stop it!) for about an hour and figured it out. Thank goodness I have a background in psychology because, this Sony is shy! You’ll read bad reviews stating, “Color is washed out” and crap like that.

Truth is, it comes setup out of the box at half-capability, that’s true! Here, lemme show you. I right clicked on the movie file I imported very easily into Windows Photos and it stated 30fps and I could tell the camcorder wasn’t giving me TRUE HD, and yes, the colors were boring.

I found setting for XAVC S (true HD) and it said, if you choose me, you won’t be able to take photos while taking movies!! I don’t care, at all. BAM! Full HD and it’s nice. I turned the filter on for vivid color (it’s in the photo features and they work in video mode as well, got some weird name but, click and boom, all pretty color.

Movies are better than with my Samsung S21 I had and distinctly better than the horror which is Google Pixel! However, the Pixel takes the best photos of all three. Again, $240. GREAT FOR: Vlogging, Walking and talking YouTube.

Teaching videos. SUCKS FOR: Fast motion video, “stunning” quality, attaching an external mic. This is your near only choice at the money because Panasonic at twice the price sucks. Canon just says, “I ain’t making nothing else under $1000” so.

either buy the Canon or the Sony at a grand or learn to love this nice like champ at $240. If it’s not what you need, don’t try to pretend it will work and then rate it badly.

I will give this product 5 stars, because I am amazed at all the things this little camcorder can do. The 60x zoom on this is crazy. It’s one of the things that sold me on this camera; including the 1080×1920 quality.

Very convenient way of turning the camera on and off (by just opening and closing the screen). When recording videos, they are very stable and far from shaky. The grip on the camera is really nice. Overall easy to get used to most of the features offered.

Some I am still learning how to use in the settings. The zoom is also something I had to get used to. The one thing I noticed that I didn’t like (at first) is that if it’s really bright outside, the camera gives no contrast and color to the objects and in order to really see it, you would have to zoom in more for it to catch it.

But then I didn’t mind it, because this camera has a look to it like from the 90’s, and that made it very cool to use.

The program was reviewed over a one week period so it was roughly one DVD per day. From the outset the tone was excellent and progressively describes NYC history from inception. Turmoil, advancement and development are combined to paint a portrait of New York unequaled in my experience.

Although I am not a formal critic or history major I did find that although in very few instances an impasse. the knowledge and perspective is unique to any program ever [previously viewed. I highly recommend purchase and viewing.

This was the best documentary film I have ever seen in the U. S. or anywhere. A romantic, accurate and dynamic film of a New York history created by Ric Burns in the late 1990s. It shows how New York epitomizes the history of the United States from inception to the modern times.

New York is not necessarily the only city that represents the U. S. , but the U. S. could not become the U. S. without New York. It tells you how the Dutch colony, New Amsterdum, became New York, why it could not become the nation’s capital, why and how it became the center of the financial and commercial world, how the construction of Erie Canal acceralated the expansion of New York, how financial crushes in the late 1800s produced the House of J.

P. Morgan, how the 12 million new immigrants aroud the turn of the century changed the face of New York, how the stock market boom in the 1920s took place and how it affected the Wall Street crush in 1928, how the Emire State Building was built and how the developments of the national highway system changed the character of the post-war New York.

You will learn a lot about the city and about yourself. The background music is beautiful and narration is pleasant. Oh, it was created just before the 9/11 terrorist attack, so you can see the World Trade Centers in their original grandeur multiple of times.

It is an epic of New York. I watched it two to three times and each time my heart was enthralled. Paul Muroyama.

I bought more NYC 8-part series box sets as gifts. VERY historically interesting and we’ll done indeed. It was the leading city of the country to this century and remains as one of the leaders to this day.

It should be required viewing for American History classes Nation wide. Dave.

Castrol has always been a very high quality oil. I have used it in all of my vehicles [ 5w 30 ] and lawn equipment [30w]. I firmly believe this oil has made my eqt. last a lot longer. Other parts break down , but not the engines.

Highly recommend and getting it through Walmart is a real bargain.

Got 2 quarts for my new Cub Cadet tractor. I use this for my mowers, I’ve used it for years with no smoke, the 30W can stand up to the heat and long time revs that mowing involves. Always go Castrol, its the best!.

This is the mechanic’s recommended motor oil for aircooled VWs here in Southern CA, been using it for years and can’t find a better price than Walmart.

NOT GOOD FOR LOGARITHMS OR SCIENTIFIC NOTATION CALCULATIONS!!! The calculator works ok but nothing more than what you’d get with an online calculator. I bought this calculator for my chemistry class because my teacher was ADAMANT we use a scientific calculator and only a scientific calculator (graphing calculator not allowed).

It took me awhile to discover it, but when doing logarithms, my calculator kept giving me estimations of the answer rather than the exact number. So instead of giving me 0. 0000156, it would give me 0.

00002. This wound up being a huge problem and impacting my score! You can’t divide using scientific notation on this calculator unless you’re ok with getting an estimation or rounded answer. You have to physically type out every decimal place to divide with to get an accurate answer.

I have been buying these calculators for my employees for years, they WERE made in China and were fine but are now made in the Philippines. They are not worth the $11. The buttons stick and you cannot get accurate answers.

EVERY one that I have purchased has been defective. I generally buy 5 at a time but I will not buy this produce any longer.
