20 Best 300 Watt Solar Panel (2022 Updated)

Good things first: The company ships fast and the packaging is good. It works. I get about 70% of the 300W generation at peak time/conditions at 37° 20′ N. It is light and compacts nicely. They provide a nice velcro strap for the cord.

Bad things: The plastic corners keep popping off and two have broken. It is big and is trick to deploy without a second person. The bag came with a tear in it. Not a big deal, but disappointing. Other things: It is shorter than the Boulder 200 and taller than the Boulder 100.

It is quite wide, which could be an issue with shadows. Goal Zero doesn’t provide a way to penetrate a wall with their Anderson Powerpole cables/connectors. I worked something up with some stuff I bought online that works well, but GZ should make something.

Also, I ended up having to slice a bit of the fingerproof guard off to make them mate up with the third party stuff but that wasn’t too hard. But don’t get me wrong, I actually really like the fingerproof design and would have loved to find a solution that didn’t involve a saw.

The frame is intact so far, but due to the lightness, I feel the need to be gentle with it. The legs basically unfold themselves, which is different from the other panels in the Boulder series. I hope they last.

I’ve had really good luck with the other boulder panels, the two Yeti powerstations, the home integration kit, the expansion tanks, the external charger, and every cable, combiner, and case.

This is my second review of the same product but I couldn’t see a way to edit the original review. My weather ap says winds of 16 MPH max and my handheld wind meter measured 10. 7 MPH and my panel is on its face.

Gusts over 16 MPH were certainly possible, but be advised. GZ has no rating for wind speeds in the user guide. The Boulder panels, due to the higher weight ratio are still standing. The panel should be pretty easy to stake down, but you’ll be supplying your own stakes.

Looks like it has been about 3 months since my original review and the power keeps flowing from the panel, so thumbs up for that (I did have a competitor’s panel fail after a few weeks once). Also, I did try to click on the terms & conditions link to see if I am violating them by posting a second review, but the link takes me to the product page.

So, GZ if you have any issues with this, I’d be glad to consolidate my reviews or work with you in good faith.

We began using this Ranger 300 solar array three weeks ago, and it has produced 245 watts in slightly hazy sunshine. Its solar efficiency (actual output / rated output) has exceeded that of our Nomad 200 and Nomad 100 solar arrays, and has been roughly comparable to our Boulder 200 array.

Compared to the Boulder 200, the Ranger 300 provides 50% more power while weighing 3 pounds less and folding more compactly for storage. Haven’t had to clear bird droppings from this non-glass cover, yet, so we can’t comment about ease of cleaning.

We chose to reinforce the carrying case with corrugated panels to protect the Ranger 300 solar panels when stored. The Ranger 300 has excellent power/weight ratio, and storage size.

This is our 3rd solar setup on various campers we’ve owned. First Renogy kit I’ve used. Build quality is good, install to easy, kit comes with pretty much everything you need. BlueTooth is kinda cool.

Our kit is pulling 8-10 amps consistently, which I am pleased with, considering we live in the dark grey pacific north west winter.

This is a basic system for minimal usage and for keeping batteries charged in your RV. No need to plug in the trickle charger every month. The included controller monitors charge output and keeps the system from overcharging.

Be advised that this system will not support appliances such as refrigerator, coffee maker or microwave. For that you will need a larger system. Note you still have to run your generator, if included in your coach, to keep our currently provided cheap fuel from gumming up the carburetor.

So far, giving this PowerHouse 757 a full 5 stars. I’ve used multiple GoalZeros (1000 and 3000 series) as well as several different sized Jackeries (up to 500 size) and one EcoFlow River about 200 wh.

Things I love about this Anker unit: recharge time from AC is FAST – makes a huge difference. I’ve got it paired with two 100w Rockpals foldable solar panels. Had to purchase a few plug adapters to get them connected, but charging the Anker at about 150w in Portland Oregon sunshine, so I’m happy with that.

Seems like the lifespan charge cycles of the battery will be significantly better than the Jackery and Goal Zero that I’ve used in the past (althought tbh, I’ve been pretty satisfied with those, so not really the biggest selling point for me).

The construction of this seems solid, I like that the top is flat so you can set stuff on it, the 100w USB-C is great for powering my laptop, and I like the warm temp of the light – I hate the cold blue LED light that’s on some of these.

Not sure how much I’ll use the light, but I like the color. Things I do wish it had – something other than a cigarette style 12v output. An anderson powerpole would be ideal – something that’s more secure, so I could hardwire my camper in.

And although I’ve yet to see any power station that does this, I’d love to have 12v DC output on the back, instead of the front. Would be great for wiring it into a camper/rv. One other addition that would be nice – some sort of integrated storage for the power cord (like Goal Zero has).

I realize that makes the entire enclosure larger. but I’d probably be willing to give that up, just so that when I transport this thing, I know I have a spot for the cords to go. AC outlets are a bit close together, so the chances of you being able to use all 6 is slim.

but not ever going to be an issue for me, I’ll rarely use more than two at a time anyway, and seems like 6 is very much overkill anyway. Displayed info is a bit short on detail (compared with Goal Zero) but all the necessary info is there.

I would like it if the display just stayed on (maybe dimmed some?) – slightly annoying that it goes off after a few min, and you have to hit the display button again to see it. But not a big deal.

Living in an area that experiences a lot of power outages, I finally decided to do something about it. Being in an apartment I couldn’t use a gas powered generator so a solar rechargeable power station was my only option.

I had my eye on two other big brands but after reading numerous reviews about defective units and poor to no customer service, I just couldn’t justify such an expensive gamble. I was ready to scrap my idea of a power station when I came across an ad for Anker PowerHouse units.

After reading many reviews and learning how reliable their products are along with a customer service team that actually responds, I knew this was the brand I needed to go with. I purchased the model 757 and though I haven’t had to use it in a blackout situation yet, I’ve been doing a lot of testing of the unit and it performs perfectly, easily running high energy use devices.

I was so impressed with it that I just purchased the little model 521. This one is small enough and light enough to carry in a backpack. Having it opens me up to possibilities I didn’t have before when I go off into woods, especially while doing my wildlife photography and videography.

I highly recommend the Anker PowerHouse line, you can’t go wrong. When they finally release the higher powered 767 model, I will be buying that one too.

Overall, I think the performance of the 757 Power House is pretty good. I especially like this chemistry. I’ve had limited testing, but so far no major problems. However, there is one major flaw for my use-case, that I didn’t see until I had it in my hands.

The power input is in the back, and the output is in the front. The back has a little magnetic door (presumably to help keep dust and light moisture out). This means you could have plugs coming out the front and back, and a delicate door on the back side too.

This could greatly increase the space needed to store this. Similar products have designed the input on the cooling side, or in the front with the outputs. I think these are better choices. For my use, I want to put it in the sub-trunk of a Tesla Model Y.

Although it fits in there, I have to angle it if both input and output are plugged in. Additionally, charging while driving (off the 12v car adapter) is risky. A sudden stop, and that could crush the cable.

I plan to remedy this by making a stand to set in the trunk to hold this steady. But that is something I didn’t think I would need to do when I bought it. If you plan to keep this out on a bench, or the ground, this is a great buy.

If you need to put it in any place that gets a little tight, be wary.

I’ve had this for a couple of years. I use it with my Yeti 200x which powers my ARB fridge. Last trip (Full sun, long days of June, Temp low 70s) the panel and battery powered the fridge 24/7 for the whole trip- 3 days.

Other trips with a little less sun and hotter temps it’s been around 18 hours of power. I’m really impressed with the capability of the products. I can pick up the panel in one hand, the battery in the other and easily reposition them when needed.

The panel folds down pretty flat so packing is easy. When not camping I use them in my backyard and power my phone and iPads off them all week. Planning on getting a second one when I move up to a yeti 500x.

Perfect size for the weekend warrior. I bought this with my Yeti 500X and both are small enough I can take camping, to work, or wherever I need power. The Nomad is not bulky or too heavy which is good as you don’t want it blowing away.

I like that it is powerful enough to get a good charge on the Yeti and other UBS accessory and compacts to stick behind my truck seat. The other great feature is that it will chain with my Nomad 27and has the quality you’d expect from a Goal Zero product.

The panel arrived promptly and the shipping packaging well protected it. Upon arrival, I connected the panel to my Sherpa 100AC. The solar panel worked fenomenal, it was a full sunny day, and I was able to obtain 52 watts (for a panel that was rated up to 50 watts).

During overcast days I was able to get up to 42 watts from the panel, which imo it is still very good. The panel is more expensive than similar solar panels, but the quality and workmanship is second to none!.

bought this for a summer long car camping trip to colorado. we’re field recording and needed power for rechargeable batteries. this is a great solar panel. super sturdy and feels well made. keep in mind it’s heavy and not easy to store if you’re tight on space.

we opted for this because it gets windy where we’re going. we paired this with the goal zero yeti 200x and it works perfectly. only complaint is that the cable is short, like 2ft max! like most people, i will have my panel in the sun and my battery in the shade, so i had to buy a separate extension cable on the goal zero site.

$35 with s/h for a 30ft. extension cable. so frustrating. but all in all everything works great. chargers about 1% for every 5 minutes of full sunlight. so i wouldn’t depend on the solar panel to charge the battery up from empty.

This is a great solar panel. We have now purchased three of them, and they power a set of Goal Zero batteries at a cabin that is off the grid on an island in the middle of a lake. They put out a lot of power, stand up to the weather well, and are small and light enough for one person to handle them with ease.

The “kickstand” is a nice feature that we use on one of the panels, and just push the legs into the ground. We used to have some smaller Boulder panels mounted on a wooden frame, but the ensemble was heavy and hard for even two people to manage.

The individual Boulder 100’s put out a lot more power and aren’t difficult to manipulate. Overall, we are delighted with power output and convenience of the Boulder 100 panel.

This panel is an excellent piece of hardware. Lightweight. Sturdy. Durable. I am absolutely in love with the tempered glass on the front. Mine has been through a Summer in North Alabama which includes hot, pollen, rain, wind, and even some bird droppings.

It still works wonderfully. I do need to clean it a few times a month to keep it in good shape. Still, I believe it would operate under more negligence. I intend on buying another. I did buy the Boulder 100 Briefcase.

The outer layer is a PET variety on these Sunpower Panels which I was looking for the ETFE initially. But my research led me to believe that the only way to get the real deal “Sunpower Cells” Grade A was to purchase directly from the source.

As the competitors that offer ETFE outer layer solar panels seems more durable but the ones mostly available online are by China direct ship. As most use non Sunpower cells and the ones that do are usually grade B and below plus the hassle of tariffs and shipping costs plus custom taxes.

I know their are some quality ones for marine use but they are usually sold for a $1000. 00 each for a 100w panel. And then again the distributors are normally unknown and have crazy warranties. I decided to buy from Renogy as I know they stand behind their products and they are offering the best flexible panels you can buy made by sunpower.

The reason for all this information was my decision making as I was skeptical of the PET outer layer panels as I have seen and heard they don’t last very long. Well let me tell you these Sunpower 100w solar panesl arrived all 6 and they are just Perfectly made as they got a really thick smooth layer on top made of PET I can assume and not just some thin layer top that would scratch easily as you would have to dig in with a knife to get to the cell.

And the back which seems like a white plastic backing that is really a high tech material I am told and not just plain plastic. These things seem tough as the warranty said don’t put anything on top or touch the top etc.

etc. which made me think twice about buying them in fear. As I originally figured to get 5 years out of these but now after seeing them I think well over 10 years is realistic and I believe now these are just as durable the ETFE panels I was desiring.

How thick the outer layer is I don’t think they will cup plus compared to the ETFE the water will slide off more easily. Plus I can’t tell you how happy I am after paying the high price of these as my B+ 2018 Dynamax REV 24RB has unheard of limited Cargo Carrying Capacity as why I went flexible due to low weight on the roof.

Whats even better is my wife is happy too knowing how worried I was getting flexible panels and now feeling relieved and confident of these 100w Sunpower flexible panels which I believe will serve us well for the years to come.

After a lot of research and you tube watching, we finally decided that a flexible solar panel was best for us. We did not want to waste time or money on a cheap panel that would not perform nor last long, so we went ahead and spent the dollars to go with a trusted brand through a trusted dealer.

It arrived in a very timely fashion, in perfect shape and we got to work installing it on our RV. We are happy to say that the panel is performing flawlessly, just as we wanted! It is made to last with a super tough outer coating, and stands up to daily use.

We couldn’t be happier. Thanks Renogy for bringing back a flexible solar panel, and for offering this top of the line product.

Feels a little bigger than I thought it would. If Sunpower can figure out how to compact the panel any more, that would really help. Seems like very good quality.

I use the product as a 15-watt replacement for a five-watt solar panel that did not have the power to keep my battery properly charged when unforeseen leaks caused the bilge pump to drain the battery of all of it s charge, thus eventually rendering both the bilge pump and the battery useless–unable to function.

Will the 15-watt panel be powerful enough, in conjunction with my new battery, to hold up is strong rains or other stresses put pressure on the electrical system? It’s too early to say but I do feel more secure with a 15-watt panel–with which one must use a charge corrector–than with a five watt which was clearly insufficient.

Here is how I put together my solar charging system. One: RDK PRODUCTS 15W Semi-Flexible Monocrystalline Solar Panel. The solar panel was mounted on my t-top. Made my own Y-connector so I could run a charge controller to each battery.

Two: RDK PRODUCTS 8 Amp Charge Controller, Dim 5″ x 4″ x 1 1/2″, 120W/8A. The charge controllers were installed in the center console. All connections were silver solder and then adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing.

Ring terminals directly to the battery terminals with dielectric grease. The system is working brilliantly for now. The charge controllers don’t look to be marine grade not sure how long they will last.

Only time will tell.

I have to admit that having a 15w solar panel to charge a battery on a sailboat may not seem much. But I have been charging the battery for about a week now, constantly charging my phone, my laptop and my camera batteries.

I’m actually amazed of what this little thing can do. Because I was really not expecting much from it. Was a good choice.

I installed this on my 30ft toyhauler just before hunting season in Colorado. I hunt in November and it tends to get a little cold in the mountains and we were in temps below 10 degrees overnight. I installed just like the manual said, wasn’t as easy as it could have been but that is because I chose to run the wires from for the charge controller in an inconspicuous location which made things more difficult.

The only thing is I wish they included the inline fuses that are needed and that is why i gave it 4 stars. So I have 2 – 12 volt deep cycle batteries (122 AMP hour) on the trailer which is adequate to run the furnace through the night even at temps around zero.

The 200 Watt panel kit was able to bring my batteries from 11. 6 volts in the morning to a full charge by mid day around 14. 2 volts mind you while it was still powering the furnace and the other draws like radio and smoke and lp detectors.

My panels are installed directly flat on the roof. I am impressed to say the least even seams to be able to charge on the cloudy days. But i put it to the test for 8 days of straight camping in November in Colorado and at no time did i feel that i needed to start the generator.

The other best thing about these is no more trying to remember to go put a charger on my batteries inthe winter to keep them up these should do just fine. I am also planing on putting float chargers connected off an inverter to keep my atv batteries up while while inside the trailer over winter to keep them up as well.

Also no more need to plug the trailer in before we head out on a trip. If you are like me and prefer to boondock in mother nature for this price it is a must have.

I’ve had these on the roof of my camper for over 3 years now. They work AWESOME. Self installation was pretty easy, although it’s not simply something the average Joe can just throw up there. You do need some basic electrical knowledge and be VERY intimate with the inner-workings of your RV to do a clean install.

I added a 2nd deep cycle battery and 3500W inverter. At some point I’ll likely switch to golf cart batteries, but for now the 12v deep cycle batteries are doing just fine. This year I FINALLY replaced the batteries in the camper after more than 5 years.

Without these solar panels and the charge controller, the batteries would Never have lasted as long as they did. These are the perfect addition if you dry or boondock camp. I take a generator with me, but short of needing the RV’s Air Conditioner, the solar setup keeps the batteries charged for everything else.

It is important to know that there are 2 panels, that’s 2- 100 watt panels, since 200 watts ,w as plastered everywhere, I didn’t realize the switch? 200 Watt 200W Solar Panel Kit with LCD Solar controller 12/24V RV Boat Off Grid Not a clear, 2 – 100 watt panels, little misleading? I did have to buy 2 separate mounting brackets, to bolt it to a pole, the clips work great for a rack mounting? The Panels are great condition and everything is right, the voltage and wattage and quality.

It comes with a set of cables and some connectors that you have to put together. One of my connectors wouldn’t seat well and I just went online and ordered factory ends already on it , instead of me fighting it, the build your own connector ends? The controller is great,, I really liked the 12 or 24 volt option and the LCD Scree, so you know what everything is doing and operating fine.

All in all, it’s a great system and fun to play with, operates my Solar Gate, with Watts to spare! I am using the extra wattage to charge my batteries and power up some exterior driveway lighting, why not?.

Great beginner pack. I have solar power now and Im super happy with the kit. There are a couple of things that won’t come with the kit. You will need 3 fuses in all. Its not needed but recommended. Save your gear! 1.

ANL fuse to match the inverter. For instance for the 3000 watt inverter one would need a 250 anl fuse between battery and inverter. Check there website for specifics. 2. 2 ATC fuses depending on solar kit size for example 2 20 amp fuses for a 12 volt system at 200 watts.

One between panels and controller, and one between controller and battery. I would of given this 5 stars but finding out I had to have all these fuses after I had travelled out to the site with my kit was a huge time waster so I hope this helps someone before the fact.

The inverter works fine. The fan turns on and off every minute however I don’t know if thats how its suppose to work or not. It is climate controlled. Not a problem for me. All in all Im happy I bought this Kit.

I installed this on a hand wash trailer used for fire camps and disaster relief. It was an easy installation, Directions were straight forward and easy to follow. I am so satisfied with this solar package I ordered a second one.

Set up solar panels. Wire that was sent in order can’t get power thru. When testing panels have power. When hook up the 12AWG that was sent with order can’t get power to controller. Was told didn’t have wire connected to panels securely.

But was crimped and solidered.

The solar panel is great if you are on a trip or have to take it out in the field for the day. Me, Im using my Bluetti 200P to power things in my house. So I found it easier to get 4-250 (200. 00) and set it up outside and charge my unit much cheaper.

Don’t get me wrong, If I need to take my unit with me, Then the 350 solar panel do the trick. Easy to set up and take along. For I had to use my AC 200P to split wood that I cut down at a friends place, and I hooked the 350 up and it last the whole day.

(It was a sunny day here in Michigan. ) Everyone is different and will use them for different reasons. Like my dad used it to power a hunting blind just to see if he would be interest in getting one just for the blind.

I hope everyone gets the most out of theirs, as I plan to get out of mine for years to come, while the prices are cheap. I know some will say they cant afford that much. Welll, I bought my AC200P and saved up to get the panels later, while I got use to my new AC200P.

I bought this panel to use with the AC300. Today, March 26th, 2022, the panel was producing 340-360 watts in full sun in mid-Colorado between 1-2PM. I saw one spike up to 393 watts, and several in the 370-380 watt range.

Wattage was reported by the AC300. Shading and cloud cover does affect the panel, but not greatly. Under full cloud cover, the panel was making between 42-55 watts. This is the first panel I’ve used that doesn’t produce significantly less than the rated power under full sun.

Very impressed so far.

I purchased 3 sets of the 350 solar panel. I have 2 ac200 max gen. I charged 1 with 2 panels initially and got over 550 watts of 700 total. Charge was done early morning panels facing east, charged gen from 65% to 100% in less than 1 1/2 hours.

Charged a 2nd time with the 3 sets of 350’s, soc was down to 58%. Was charged up to 100% in less than 1 hour Approx. Panel were pushing 975 watts and at 1 point hit 1000-watt mark. !! Amazing panels.

BUY THEM you won’t regret it.

I evaluated this against the Jackary power station and while comparable I simply liked the story on this device that a bunch of battery engineers got together to build something cool. I have tested the device against my CPAP machine and it works well.

I also found a 170w ceramic heater that keeps the car warm when it is not running. My favorite capability is the PD port – it charges a MacBook, iPhone, or Dell laptop easily. I don’t have to bring out the big power brick to plug in when I just need to keep them fresh in the car.

This is great for camping, picnic and outdoor activities where there is no power supply available. I have compare this to Jackery 500 and Bluetti 500 watts which most of my friends have and which are most buys in the market.

It is lighter then other two generators as well as sleek looking. It doesnt make any noise as well when in use. Not only Rocksolar has more output plugs then jackery and bluetti, battery lasted very long as well.

It charges very fast as well compare to other two. I would love if they include flashlight but that didnt bother me as it can charge my lantern.

Unexpectedly, this mobile power supply is so powerful. It can drive lights, fans, computers and other work. It can charge several mobile phones at the same time. It is convenient to carry and is a must-have product for camping.

The delivery speed is very fast, the quality is good, the cost-effective, and it is worth it recommend!.

We live in Florida and we have power outages with storms and wire damage. Last week, we went to bed after taking our sleep meds and put on our Resmed aircurve 10 Bipap machine. Go figure. the power went out at 1am and what we had for battery backup didnt work.

Getting sleep without gasping and risking another stroke was impossible. The sleep meds made it a true fight to stay awake. Awful night. The next morning, I started researching a better battery backup.

After reading countless reviews of many different brands I decided to give this one a chance. With other brands, many folks complained that it would stop working in the middle of the night and have to be restarted.

Others complained about battery life draining fast with their CPAP use. Some said that you have to turn off the humidifier or the battery didnt last long. I think that is only an issue based on how long you need to use it before recharging it.

Others said that you need a special DC adapter to use it for a CPAP machine. Well, the reviews were better on this unit, so, I ordered it knowing that it can be easily returned with Home Deliveries USA.

We received it yesterday and tried it out last night. Straight out of the box with no charging on our part it showed fully charged. I forgot to order the DC Adapter that was mentioned in the reviews butdecided to give it a try anyway just to gauge the difference.

My husband plugged his BIPAP machine in directly and used it as normal with the humidifier and all. He has been it using for 11 hours now no hes not lazy, he just had his shoulder replaced and he still has 3 out of 5 bars of battery left.

WOW! So much better than we expected. SO, to sum up a long story. If you need it for just a few nights you should be able to use your BIPAP or CPAP normally and still have juice to charge your phones too.

IF, you are going camping or will need it longer between charging, I would consider getting the DC Adapter as they recommend so that it will extend your use b.

This really has sort of blown away my expectations! It definitely can output the wattage it says it will, Ive measured the total Watt hours the battery output in a moderate load and it was right at 220 Watt hours, and to top it off it is actually a pure sine wave output.

That was the one that surprised me the most. Most of the time they arent pure sine waves, but modified sine waves which is a fancy way to say that the power output is almost a square wave. Square waves are bad for sensitive electronics and its also really cheap to make modified sine wave inverters.

This unit is definitely a bit heavier than similar units that are the same size, but I would bet anything that the weight is actually from the additional gear needed to include a pure sine wave inverter in the device.

Trust me what when I say that you will not get a comparable unit for comparable price. I looked and purchased many around this price range. They failed, would not output the advertised wattage, and all of them were not pure sine wave devices.

This machine is amazing. I have read that people have been using it during hurricane season, while I have been using it in my detached garage that has limited power sources. Just this weekend, I had also brought it out to ride around with my motorcycle, because the bike has been in storage for a while, and the battery needs more juice along with my trickle charger/maintainer otherwise, it kept on giving me a non-start, due to the alternator not charging the battery enough in the colder months.

I have recharged my motorcycle over 4 to 5 times before the batter ran out, and used it to maintain my motorcycle battery in the garage. I really like that I was able to carry it on my bike rack and was able to bring it with me, just in case.

I can imagine it also being useful in case of emergencies. I will look forward to a smaller version for future use also. Great product, so far. Will update in 6-months, if necessary. However, no news is good news.

Living on the Oregon coast, we are putting together a solar generation system as a partial “solution” for a potential Cascadia earthquake/tsunami event that could leave us “in the dark” for weeks or even months.

We decided to go primarily with Bluetti products. The first pieces of the puzzle are an EB150 sogen (AC300/B300 coming later) and one PV200 solar panel. These are all we have now, these two pieces. But a couple days ago I decided to test out what we had.

It was about 60F and mostly sunny skies when we tested this, on October 2 at about 46N latitude. Once I figured out to move these around (fold one panel over, carry the panel on either side, move around) and set the kickstands to a 45 degree angle (the sun was lower in the sky but this was intended to be a “quick and dirty” test) in a place where the panel was in full sun, facing south southeast at 11:30 AM.

I know that under close to ideal conditions, you may get 80% efficiency (that is, for every 100 watts the panel is rated for, you may get 80 watts of usable output). You may get a bit more under really ideal conditions and positioning; often you may get a fair bit less.

Once I hooked it up and put into the EB150’s input, I could see a very impressive input coming in, usually 155-160 watts — and that was without a lot of fine tuning to peak it! The video is a short clip to show what I was getting.

Also I tested partial shading, and unlike many other panels where the entire panel/array can lose almost everything with a little bit of shade, these don’t. They have four sections wired in parallel, so if one of them is shaded, the other three still produce well.

These panels are expensive — these are not intended for long term permanent installation (you want rigid panels for those). But for camping, for RVing, boondocking, or just occasional emergency use when you don’t need solar panels out all the time, it looks like these are doing a wonderful job.

If I need to update over time, I will do so, but my initial impression of the performance of these panels is very good.

What’s interesting about this one is that it doesn’t have the regular USB/phone charging inputs. It only has a box and you need a power station for any of those inputs. I don’t need them but that might be a con for someone who wants to use the panel to charge anything without a power station.

Pros=120w is what is key here. I had two 100w and I’m upgrading to this one and a 2nd one I have. =second best feature I’d say is the % angle tilt built in. I have a digital angle measure device for this purpose but it’s easier to have some idea already.

Make sure you look up your location and the time of year to see where you should point it and what angle. Don’t just use some default setting. Make sure it’s ready at the start of day to charge. =A 120-inches long charging cable with an MC4 connector -> is the best I’ve seen so far on a portable solar panel.

Make sure you factor that into the cost. =I’m in love with the girl on the second photo. =This is the only one I’ve seen mention IP65 waterproof. IP rated as “dust tight” and protected against heavy seas or powerful jets of water.

Cons=not a fan of the plastic handles vs. the rubber handle fold-up ones. =price on this is pretty high despite not having a solar charge controller. My other one for $300 include sa solar charge controller.

Ok I’m impressed. This is a real nice briefcase panel I plan on using with my camper. It folds up and has a bag on the back for the MC4 cable. There are kickstands with 3 levels of adjustments to better face the panel towards the sun.

It does not include a solar controller, so I paired it with a decent 20A solar controller. It connects via the attached cable with MC4 connector ends. I tested it on a clear sunny fall day, face it directly towards the sun (using the handy kickstands) and measured 23.

6v open circuit. However, I didn’t really expect to get a full 26v open circuit they state. I could have been off a few deg or there may have been some haze, my shadow etc etc. Where I was happy was where I think it counts.

When connected to my controller and battery, I measured 21. 7v while it was pumping 10+A to charge my battery. Very small sag. I expect it will charge up my group 29 Deep cycle quickly. For giggles It was heavily overcast (just rained) and dusk.

I could still get 15v with a load. Enough to charge things a bit. One feature I like is the handle is strong plastic that I can put a lock through. I suspect they would have to break the panel to or cut the lock.

That should stop most opportunistic thieves as many campgrounds. I am looking forward to using this this summer. I can take the generator but suspect I will not need it.

These panels are so nice. Much better than I expected, and the suitcase style makes them light weight & portable. We love Ecoflow! We have the Delta Pro and keep adding to the system little by little, and we are excited about all it can do and especially the portability and long lifespan.

What could be more amazing than generating free energy for your home. This product is very well made, it has its own carry case which makes it very easy to store and is easy to use, ive used it on the patio, hung it on the washing line and had it sitting on the shed roof connected to my ecoflow riverpro thats how versatile and easy to use this solar panel is.

I would and have recommended this panel to others.

Well Made strong and getting a good power throughput. About 125w+ on a full sunny day in early June.

As an engineer, I was interested to see the solar panels connect and operate. Their “form, fit, and function” are perfect. Connections were easy and the panels worked perfectly. They are robust in the frames and I particularly liked the folding leg design which allows the panel to accommodate any angle I wanted for optimal sunlight capture.

All in all, I most definitely recommend Lion Energy’s solar panels.

These solar panels are by far the best Portable panels that I have seen.. I have 5 different brands of panels and power stations and I love the lion energy the best out of all.

Have not had a chance to use it yet but looked over and I am impressed with the quality of the solar panel. Looking forward to putting to a work out .
