20 Best 3060 Ti For Mining (2022 Updated)

This is a great gpu car don’t get me wrong, is it worth $700. probably not. I have been trying to get a 3060ti for my 13 y/o sons computer for a good 4-5 months. I wanted a triple fan unit and followed every drop and even though I didn’t want to spend this much I wasn’t going to pass it up when I was able to snag one finally.

His computer is an ibuypower that came with a 1660ti. It was a lower end desktop I bought in 2019. I had 2 issues with the card installation. First issue was that since this card is taller/thicker it hit the wireless antennae card plugged into the mother board.

No choice but to take it out. not a huge deal. Second issue was when I went to boot it up everything would light up, fans turned on and then it would shut off in a few seconds and repeat that over and over.

Power supply was rated at 500 watts which is what the gpu card requires however with the help of my brother he was pretty sure it needed a power supply upgrade. I found a 650 watt EVGA for $65 and swapped it in and everything works perfectly now.

My son is very happy with the upgrade as it made a huge difference in graphics and fps. Like others have said at this point beggars can’t be choosers, hard to go “wrong” with this card but just beware of the physical size and power requirements.

Gave it 4 stars just because of the price, pretty sure cards that are $100-$200 cheaper can/will work just as well and would have less clearance issues also.

This was an upgrade from an MSI 1660 Super 2X OC. The improvement is vast. However, in the 2 years I ran the 1660S I never experienced a game crash. not once. Running the exact same games, with exact same hardware except the Gigabyte Aorus 3060 Ti Elite, I have experienced multiple crashes since installation despite proper drivers and reasonable settings.

It’s not enough to drive me crazy but definitely enough to notice (crashes about every 2 hours). I have also noticed this card has not reduced price with other falling cards post gpu crisis. I’m happy with the card.

But with other, better cards now being cheaper, there may be better options.

It was a little bit more than I was comfortable paying for a 3060 Ti, but I’m glad I got a card finally (seven Benjamins). This 3060 Ti is pretty much a 3070. I’m normally a budget-conscious gamer, so this card will probably keep me happy for a couple of years.

I’ve run a few games (Halo Infinite, Elden Ring) on ultra settings and have had no graphics related issues. The card doesn’t get all that hot, and it’s not very loud even at near 100% utilization. It is a bit chonky, and I had to remove a metal tray that my older case had for HDDs, but not a huge issue.

I mined on it for one night just to see how it would do, and I can report that it’s probably not worth running this thing to get a dollar and change back profit. Overall, good card if you can get one – even at this inflated price.

Overall I’m very happy with my purchase! Gamers on the internet shame prebuilt PCs because they often cut corners in various ways, so I felt like I was taking a risk on this. But after having it for a couple weeks, I couldn’t be happier with it.

Setup instructions could have definitely been better. There were essentially none. What did come with the PC told me to go to the site for instructions on this specific PC, and there weren’t any. This is the only reason my review isn’t 5/5.

It also came with the wrong cooler, but Skytech Support offered to send me the right one or get a partial refund, so it seems they handle mistakes like that very nicely.

I love the included components. The case is a surprising little wonder. Obviously the GPU is the reason to get this system and it works as advertised. If I were only reviewing the hardware I’d give it 4 stars.

A 240mm AIO would give it 5 stars. However, I have to dock an extra star for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, the rear 120mm Fan was installed the wrong way. Guys, you don’t want your exhaust fan to be blowing back inside the case.

This is basic stuff. My other issue is that not all accessories that normally come with components are present. I would expect such practices with OEM products. But a company that seems focused on building great systems should, in my opinion, give you all of the cables that come with the PSU.

There are some other odd choices, such as installing Patriot Viper RGB software, but the included RAM is non-RGB XPG. Some of the cable management decisions were questionable at best, but it’s workable for the most part.

All in all, we have a motherboard that tends to run warm, a NVMe Gen 4 SSD with no heat spreader, an RTX 3080, a Ryzen 7 3700X cooled by a 120mm AIO – a combination that will run WARM! – and the exhaust fan was put on backwards.

If this weren’t such a great product overall, this would be a horrible review. However, the product is great; the service needs a little work. Please take care of your customers.

To be forward, if you are looking at this tower because you want a 3080 paired with a rysen 7 3700x, than seriously look no further. The case is amazing for cooling, the front is complete mesh with 2 fans pulling in air(complete with dust filters at each place air is being pulled in).

The AIO cooler keeps the cpu cool even when playing at 1440p, max settings and rtx with mult applications open and the overclock ability and ease of use of the cpu makes it great and a reason why i prefer it over its intel competitor.

GPU stays very cool being a three fan design, and having plenty of airflow through the tower and that 3080 is beyond capable of whatever you throw at it. 16gb at 3600 is awesome aswell. It is a really solid build and skytech did a high quality build of it, great cable management.

The NVMe is beyond fast, booting up takes under 5 seconds and prepare to load into games before anyone else. Looks great, runs great. When im ready to upgrade in the future i will be back here. If you read all that, just get it already, you know its what you want!.

I have had this laptop for about a month now. I really wanted to ensure that I had a good grasp of this machine before I wrote a review on it. For a quick summary, I overall really like this computer.

While it is not perfect (nothing is), I would not hesitate to recommend this machine to someone looking for a reasonably capable gaming machine. Now I will go into more depth. I will begin with the build quality, which I deem to be satisfactory for the price segment.

There is no metal on this computer’s chassis, but the plastic is solid enough. It is not an expensive feeling plastic, but it is strong. While keyboard flex is minimal, there is some flexing on the screen.

I would recommend raising the lid using the center of the screen as opposed to an outer edge. All of that said, I would not hesitate to drop this computer into a backpack or carrying case to use on the go (at least when considering build quality alone.

more on that later). The next, I will discuss the parts of the laptop that a user will interact with the most, the screen, the keyboard, and the trackpad. The screen is quite good. The 144hz is smooth and the colors are vivid, though certainly not color accurate enough for professional use.

I also appreciate the wide viewing angles. There are a couple of flaws, however. First, there are bright spots on the screen that one can see when the display is black. They appear on the edges and are somewhat distracting.

This is most pronounced on the start screen when booting the machine up. Secondly, I found that my particular screen has a dead pixel which serves as a minor annoyance. While I understand that not every unit will have this problem, perhaps it says something about Gigabyte’s quality control.

Overall though, the screen is quite good. This computer’s keyboard is quite enjoyable to use. The keys are well sized and well spaced, which makes typing quite easy (if not a bit fun). The keys are very quite too, which is a plus for those who may find themselves in a professional environment.

The backlighting allows for the user to choose both the brightness level and the color, so you can make it as loud or subdued as you would like. I particularly appreciate that this computer includes a number pad, which is a feature absent on many 15 inch competitors.

While a bit cramped, its addition is most appreciated. I rate the keyboard as excellent. On to the trackpad. I am used to using Apple MacBook trackpads which are probably the best in the industry, so my opinion of this pad is somewhat tainted by my use of that, but this trackpad is adequate.

It is spacious, but a bit cheap feeling. You are not going to forget that you’re gliding your finger across plastic. I also do not care for the fact that the pad does not support an actual physical click, forcing me to tap instead.

Perhaps its biggest fault is the dead-zones I have encountered. They are small and not too intrusive, but I have noticed that there are areas where the cursor will not respond to finger movement. Overall, the pad is usable, but if you are going to be using the computer for any significant length of time I would recommend a mouse.

Next, I will write about this machine’s performance. It would seem to me that the cheap feeling plastic was used in order to beef up the performance of the computer, a trade-off I certainly appreciate.

The processor is snappy. I am coming from using Apple M1 processors, so saying that means something. I find that the single-core tasks that I ask of this machine are completed quite quickly. Starting apps, for example, is almost instantaneous.

This is the first Windows machine that I can honestly say that of. As for the graphics performance, I believe that it is quite good for the price (mind you, I paid $699 for this computer). I play Attila: Total War and get 60 fps on mostly ultra settings.

While the game is a few years old now, I suspect that this computer will run just about anything you throw at it. You might not get 4k/60 out of Cyberpunk (don’t even try it), but for the casual gamer who just wants something to play games on, this machine will be more than adequate.

Do note, and this is important, that the computer from the factory (at least in my case) came with an outdated BIOS version (7, if I recall) that reduces the performance of the GPU. I ran a benchmark on Attila: Total War prior to updating and got about 40 fps, so updating the BIOS gave me about 20 fps more.

I would highly suggest updating your system’s BIOS, though do so carefully because a broken BIOS can break a computer. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, ask a professional. Moving on, I will next write about the thermal performance I have experienced.

I have read a number of reviews on this computer that say that it runs hot. In my experience, this is not completely accurate. While under load, such as playing a game, I found that the fans are quite good at getting the heat out of this machine.

They are more powerful than any laptop I have ever used. While I am not an expert, I have played games for hours and the computer’s chassis is only warm. That said, I do use my computer on an elevated cooling pad, so that may have something to do with it.

Using the computer for low-level tasks keeps the fans quite and the machine only a bit warm to the touch. All of that said, this computer’s performance provides an excellent bang for the buck. The last area that I will write about is the computer’s battery.

To be brief, it is bad. Do not buy this computer thinking that you are going to be gaming on the go. Just watching YouTube videos drained my battery from 100% to 60% in probably 45 minutes. I have never used a laptop that sucks battery power like this one does.

That said, there is one redeeming factor about this battery, namely that it is hot swappable. Yes, the user can easily remove this battery without going into the laptop’s innards and swap in a fresh one on the fly.

This is a feature I wish more computers still had. I suppose that it has been sacrificed on the altar of making things thin and light. Regardless, I did not buy this computer for battery performance.

I suspect that most people buying GAMING laptops are interested in getting the best performance possible, and that will only come by using wall power. My recommendation is this, treat the battery as a back-up in case the power goes out.

It will give you time to save your game or that spreadsheet you have been working on for hours. Other than that keep this unit plugged in. It is simply not meant for long battery endurance. Overall, I very much like this computer.

While the battery performance and cheap feeling plastic take away a star, I believe that this machine will be more than enough for most laptop users. I particularly appreciate that it has gaming level performance in a body that does not scream GAMER, which allows it to be used in a professional environment.

I believe that for the price I paid ($699), and even a bit more than that, this computer is an excellent bang for the buck (especially in a time when new computer hardware tends to be so expensive). Do yourself I favor and put this in your cart.

I needed a new laptop and decided to try out the Gigabyte G5. Gigabyte has always been one of my favorite motherboard manufacturers, knowing their reputation to make good computer components, I figured that I could trust them to make a great laptop.

This laptop does not disappoint. It’s extremely fast and has kept up with everything that I’ve thrown at it. This model comes well equipped with everything that you need to ensure that you stay ahead for a few years.

The screen has a high refresh rate of 144hz. The brightness level is very bright, I usually leave it at 70-80% during the daytime. I like the fact that it has multiple options to run external monitors, I have it running 2 monitors and it’s doing a great job at that.

The capability of this system with the RTX3060 is phenomenal when it comes to gaming. Nearly all modern games will run at 60 FPS or higher on the highest graphics setting available. Another good thing about this laptop is the ability to upgrade.

It has 2 slots for RAM with a maximum capacity of 64GBs, it also has additional slots for storage expansion You’ll have 1 M2 2280 & 1 2. 5″ HD slot available. For being a laptop it has plenty of USB slots, the latest WIFI 6 WLAN, Bluetooth, etc.

I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and this is one of the best gaming laptops out right now. It you can get it on sale, there’s nothing out there that will beat it.

I will preface this with saying I’ve only owned one other laptop before, and am not tech savvy. This is also the first time I’ve got a gaming laptop. This Gigabyte laptop has done everything I needed it to do.

It starts up quickly and runs smoothly. This is the first time I’ve had a solid-state drive and the difference is already apparent. It quickly loads and runs the games I play (Sims 3, 7 Days to Die, Book of Travels).

I don’t have to run games on the absolute lowest graphical setting anymore. Happy days, indeed. I did not have to uninstall a bunch of programs the moment I got the laptop set-up, which is a plus. The software that does come with it is fairly easy for my to figure out and use.

I haven’t played much with the custom fan settings, but the custom power settings include a quiet mode which can be helpful for everyday users such as myself. The keyboard is more or less a full keyboard.

It has a number pad, which is essential for me since I work with spreadsheets where I enter a lot of numbers. My muscle memory is conditioned for the number pad layout, and I would be lost without it.

However, I am used to a larger key for 0 but am adapting well enough. I also find the keys not too soft or firm, which is to my preference. However the laptop does get hot quickly. I got accustomed to using my previous laptop on my lap, and have had to make some adjustments to this one, such as getting a cooling tray just to keep my lap comfortable.

The air also tends to blow out right where my mouse-hand rests, and the air is warm and my hand quickly gets uncomfortable from the warmth. Again, the cooling tray with an option to prop up my laptop at an angle came to my rescue here.

Running hot also means that the fan will often go to high speeds, which is noisy. I don’t mind white noise terribly for most tasks – sometimes I even find it soothing. But it can be detrimental for tasks that require being able to hear subtle sounds – and the onboard speakers aren’t terribly loud even at full volume.

Headphones can help with this, but I can’t wear headphones for too long due to sensitive ears. This laptop also heavier than my previous laptop but that is to be expected since it’s more powerful than my previous laptop.

But it I am more hesitant to slip it into my backpack and go somewhere as it will quickly make my weak shoulders sore if I have to lug it around. Definitely not one I would use for school. However, since I am not currently in school or really leaving the house much at all, the point is moot.

But to other wimps out there looking for a laptop to tote with them to school or on their travels, maybe a lighter one would be better. I do wish the power cord was just a LITTLE longer and didn’t connect in the back.

I find when I pick up my laptop and set it down again, as I am prone to do, the cord will always end up underneath the laptop. When I had one that plugged in the side, it just seemed easier for me to keep the cord out of the way.

Maybe it’s not that it is harder, I just need to adapt. Other miscellaneous remarks are the rubber grips on the bottom do well to keep the laptop from slipping even on slightly inclined surfaces. I can’t speak to how sturdy this laptop is as I have not dropped it yet.

I also have not tested the battery much as I usually keep it plugged in, so I can’t speak to that either. All in all I am mostly pleased with my purchase. There are just a few little niggling issues I have with it, but I can’t even call them flaws so much as tradeoffs for the things that are good about it.

If you need this kind of power and speed its built well, benchmarks show it does everything it’s supposed to do and slightly beyond whats on paper and keeps itself cool no matter how hard I pushed it.

Clock rates and fan speeds boosted nicely and predictably under load and the card performs excellent. If I was a serious gamer I would most likely be a lot happier but for me it was kind of disappointing considering the price of the unit.

Since I run 4 monitors all the time it does all of the things I need it to extremely well at an idle and barely wakes up for my uses. Now I have to upgrade my main monitor because the DVI looked so much better on my old card than the hdmi does so there must is an issue there since none of my monitors are hd or uhv but that’s typical in a hdmi vs dvi setup as DVI is more accurate for workstation/creation type use.

So I gained headroom and power but really nothing else. It is what it should be however the price does not justify the need for my uses but at least I am future proofed for a few years and I know this was new and not used so I have no doubts about its past history or abuse, so now I can rework the 1060 SSC, get some fresh pads and compound and upgrade my backup tower.

Had I come up from an older card maybe I would be more impressed. Your mileage may vary, all in all its a great well built and designed card, I just didn’t see 700$ worth of improvement. Seriously overpriced and definitely not worth all the hype.

don’t buy into the marketing psychology, do your homework first.

I was finally able to get my hand on a new graphics card after a year of searching! I wanted the 3070, and I was able to get the last one they had for the day, an Asus TUF series. At $749. 99, this card offers some INCREDIBLE cooling and of course amazing performance, however, considering the MSRP for a 3070FE is $499, you’re paying quite a bit extra.

Shortages, demand, and tariffs obviously all play a big role in the pricing, but for cheaper, it’s probably worth getting an EVGA 3070 FTW3. Customer support is apparently much better (though I have no personal experience), and EVGA has their “step up” program that allows you to upgrade your card if you want something on the top end but can’t find stock for it (3080ti or 3080 12GB).

Even paying the extra ~$30 for the Asus Strix series is better value, as the Strix excels at aspects like overclocking where the TUF lacks. All that being said, if it’s the only card you can get your hands on, it’s still worth it in my book.

It wasn’t my first option, but it’s certainly no disappointment at all.

We all know how crazy the GPU market is currently. Got this card through MCs voucher system one morning with a buddy. The manager and associates who ran it were super organized and I was impressed. Anyways, to the card.

It’s fantastic! Was easy to install and update. I like the GeForce experience software which adapts the card settings to the game you’re playing. No problems so far, really happy.

TL;DR: Buy this product if it is in stock and if you need a graphics card because it is amazing, but don’t fear if you don’t get it for AMD and Nvidia’s new offerings in Q 1/2 of 2021, may provide the gpu that could be a better fit for you.

I got this product after refreshing the page many times on launch day and was one of the few souls who got it, I wish luck to the others who are trying to get it. Firstly, I use a egpu (external Graphics Card Unit) when I game because of my personal situation, and I was able to get it up and running within a few minutes.

All of my games are amazing compared to my previous card (gtx 960) and I was able to play Battlefield 1/V, Fallout 4/76, Skyrim SE, GTA V, and RDR2 all at 60 fps+ on 4k High/Ultra settings with 1% lies in the low 50s fps at worse (RDR2 during a pretty strenuous scene) and 0.

1% lows in the high 40s fps (also in RDR2). But please remember, even with my relatively good egpu set up, it normally gets no more than 80-95% then what you get in desktop, so your milage may very. Thermals: It never got more than 72°C in my 1 hour stress test in unigen heaven with the very quiet stock fan curve that got to no more than 41%.

The physical card is simply beautiful and it seems to use all of the metal as a heat sink and (don’t touch the card at home, I was just curious for this review) gets quite uncomfortably hot, so don’t touch your graphics card while it’s in usage even though that should be obvious because it is a computer part.

It admittedly warmed up my room by about 1°C with room set at 21°C to 22°C after about 5 hours of continuous usage (along with my 25w laptop and my smaller bedroom, this is an uncontrolled variable but is interesting nontheless).

The airflow and cooling for the card is outstanding considering it is a 200w card and is smaller than my evga twin fan edition of my previous gtx 960. Great stuff! Overclocking: With there being quite a bit of thermal head room, I felt confident in the cards ability to I overclock, and I was right.

I was able to oc it with the core at 2085 mhz (+150 cc) and it was stable during my 2 hour stress test of me playing GTA V story mode. I was able to get it to 2110 mhz (+175 cc), but it was a tad unstable if it stayed there, and would normally fall back down to 2085 automatically in order to not crash.

With the memory clock I was able to get a +1400mhz on the memory and it remained stable and there was no artifacting after that same stress test on GTA V. Ii was able to get about 3%-12% fps performance gains, which is astounding, but the average was more like 6.

5-8. 5% fps gain. With the stock fan curve and with these overclocking settings, it got to 54% fan speed at 79°C, and with my manual fan speed setting of 72% it sat at 75°C. I would suggest using the auto curve if you are a bit sensitive to noise, but if you’re fine with a little bit of fan noise, I would suggest raising the fan speed slightly higher like I did.

Overall, it’s very impressive from my perspective. Note that overclocking may void manufacturer warranty on some products and may not give same results, so use at your own risk. DLSS and RTX: I really only play one game that uses either that I care to use and that is rtx minecraft which works perfectly at 4k ~55-60fps and looks stunning.

It uses DLSS for the performance gains of from what I can tell of about 15-20+ fps to make it go from playable to very useable. DLSS at this point seems to be very a future oriented technology which is nice, because it gives me some more hope that I will be able to use the 3060ti for longer than I would otherwise.

But, right now it is still a very impressive technology. Overall: This is a great product for $400 and although a bit more vram would have been nice, for $400 there is no question that this is an absolute buy.

Although the review shenanigans that occurred around this launch were quite suspect, this product is still very good and I recommend buying this model or any other 3060ti model if it is under $430. RTX in my eyes is still in it’s infancy, but very much a product to be used, and DLSS along with Nvidia broadcast is also amazing.

Best Buy pickup was fine and they got it too me a day later than expected, but they brought it out my car within a few minutes when I did go to pick it up. Thanks for my long ramble, and I wish you luck on getting this card, or any card for a good price this holiday season.

Packaging is gorgeous. It feels like you purchased jewelry! Gpu feels very sturdy and well made. Backplate makes her sit very snuggly in the case without any flex or movement; very solid. 12-pin adapter is a very silly idea and makes for a clunky looking connection.

Not very fond of it at all! Performance is fantastic and pretty quiet operation. I cannot hear it behind the noise of my watercooler. Connections on the back are good and having one HDMI port is appreciated, given the rest of them are display ports.

Temperatures stay in the low 60s, while heavy operations cause it to climb towards 70°C. Having a price tag of 350usd would have made it golden, but oh, nvidia.

I am not a huge PC gamer. I was tired of the randomness that was Windows 10 and my existing cards in my system were outdated enough to not allow me to install Windows 11. So, I entered the card market begrudgingly.

This card is such an incredible card for someone like me. I play StarCraft 2 mostly and use OBS Studio to stream to YouTube simultaneously. Streaming and gaming at 1080p is a breeze with this card. Maxed out StarCraft at Extreme settings and it can run stable at around 100fps most times.

Even when playing big 3v3 matchups with about 100 units on the screen all attacking and moving and rendering the environment, it only drops to about 30fps. No lost frames. No jittering. No screen tearing.

Nothing. That, to me, is perfection. RTS have to be some of the most demanding games out there for frames. And this card can not only power through that but also maintain a flawless looking stream at 1080p60? That’s just incredible.

P. S: I acquired this card through the Newegg Shuffle process. Can’t lie, it only took me 10 days of Shuffling to get selected and essentially gifted this card. Yes, I had to pay maybe a premium price as idk what MSRP actually is for this card.

That being said, I still believe using the Shuffle was a million times better than the pain and frustration of hoping to get a card in this time with luck and hoping bots don’t steal all the cards for scalpers to increase the price by hundreds of dollars.

I used this card in a Velka 7 SFF build and it runs perfectly. Very capable and remarkably quiet given thermal constraints in a case. Also features silent mode which is appreciated, particularly in a small form factor case.

Most importantly, was able to play Half Life: Alyx at high settings on a computer not much bigger than two stacked cans of coke.

Have a Ryzen 5 5600, 32 GB Ram in an ITX factor case. It does get a but warm only because i feel comfortable pushing the card and that it is extremely warm these days. But I can run games with FPS and high Quality such Destiny and Forza 4 and it’s just awesome.

Also got it at 999 that was what I am also really happy about. Hopefully it gets cheaper again eventually but with the chipsrt climate as it is I was really happy to pay this and get an upgrade.

The GPU has performed really well and was a considerate upgrade from my 1070. Running games at 4k has been surprisingly successful with one or two perhaps needing DLSS. It also runs about 60c under load and fans staying silent until needed.

Temps have been good considering its only a dual fan. Also a lot of the games i have played since owning defaulted to max settings even at 4k.

Once again, after lots of research. I landed on this card for a few reasons. Cheap. Omg its so cheap. If you’ve never owned a gaming PC then this card is going to exceed your expectations. I’ve been gaming on PS5 on 1080p for the last year and seeing 1440p at 144hz is traumatic at best.

You will have to run more graphically intense games at 1080p to get the higher frame rates with ray tracing but that’s still thrilling. The only difference I would have noticed between this and the 3070/ TI would have been the dent in my pocket.

I have this paired with a i5-12600k on a 750watt Be quiet gold rated PSU and its been running flawlessly for about 4 weeks now. To be honest, I wouldn’t bother going any higher on buying a new card Unless you have the monitor for it and are upgrading from a good last gen card like the 2080.

Also, I’m definitely bottlenecked by my older Titan Army VA 1440p 27 inch. Planning to upgrade to an IPS 32″ with G sync before even thinking about a new card! I didn’t even mention the aesthetics. White and chrome? Triple fan? Minimal RGB? Honestly, the Vision Card series are the hottest cards I’ve seen.

Personal opinion, Yes, but hey. With a full White and Chrome Build, I was very excited to see something looking a bit more tame than the usual “Alpha Gamer” looking cards. I noticed it has a lower clock speed than some of the other pricier cards but as this is my first card, I wouldn’t know the difference.

I would assume that’s why it’s price is so solid. I was happy paying the price in February and now its a much better deal 5 stars on purchase, now the price dropped, I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Looks good and fit righy into my nzxt case without issue, didn’t even come close to the aio radiator and fans I have installed on the front. I’m using a 750w 80+gold power supply haven’t encountered any power or heat issues and im getting 90 frames on max settings on forza horizon 5 paired with my 5600x.

Great card and a great uprade for my first built pc after using a prebuilt with a gtx 1060.

Card performs as expected for a 3060 ti. However, the chrome plate on the fan side is a sticker. When the card gets warm (which is often), the adhesive loosens and the plate peels off and sags. It doesn’t affect performance but it does look cheap and tacky.

I am very happy with my purchase. My particular card overclock extremely well. I am able to get very close to the performance of the 3070 I sold like a dirty scalper for almost twice what I paid, and suffered a year with a 1060 3gb 😂.

I am able to get a stable OC scoring 12403 (my 3070 stock got 12650 stock and didnt really overclock well at all) in time spy using simple config in MSI Afterburner: 104% power, +175mhz offset and an incredible +950 memory offset! This allows me to crank all of the games I play at 1440p with the help of DLSS on quality settings in 1440p and get 90-120 fps (Forza 5 Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and even cyber punk 2077 with cranked details and ray tracing at playable frame rates (consistently above 60) paired with a 12600kf.

I cant guarantee other cards will do as well as it is always playing the silicon lottery, but most reviews and posts Ive seen confirm that these gigabyte cards especially are capable of incredible memory overclocks, and pretty decent core overclocks, their most limiting factor being power as my card tops out at 215 watts with just one 8 pin which close to the absolute max and means Im constantly drawing 65-75w from PCI slot on mobo, and 150 from the cable! Wish I could see this card with one more 6 pin but that only comes on the PRO and in this market theyd probably just go ahead and charge you for a 3070 cause it will def get VERY close to, or even 3070 stock performance with just a little more power.

I am needing to re-think airflow however, as the card stays under 85 degrees but with overclock applied it sounds like a whiny jet engine doing so currently! I think I have too much exhaust and not enough input in my H510 Flow, so hoping that can be fixed.

Would be pretty silly to consider custom water cooling a 60series card that I already spent too much on but them fans!!!!. Id much prefer 2 120mm fans over 3 70s. Smaller fans have that distinct whine when they soon fast that sounds right out of 2004 gaming PCs RGB is fun, but wish the RTX logo lit up, and or something on the backplate besides just the big Gigabyte logo.

Id say for most people as of this moment in time, the 6600 is probably a better buy, can find them pretty regularly for sub 350, but if you like ray tracing and are ok with DLSS to help you along this card is not a bad choice.

Just have to be willing to pay the NVIDIA tax. Of course if you can keep waiting do it! If you have a 1080, 2060super or above, or 5700XT or above just keep holding out a little longer! You missed your window to sell those for $700 so hold out till intel finally enters the market! Probably wont even buy an intel GPU for at least a few years, but hopefully it helps drop all GPU prices!.

A decent GPU, if you’re able to pick it up. It’s a bit more expensive than an FE card, but sometimes that’s all you’re able to get. It runs Destiny 2 and Halo Infinite near max settings at an average of 90 fps, at 1440p.

The thermals seem to be good; I’ve yet to see my card break 72 C. The screen cooling forces a lot of hot air upwards and can make the top of your case feel hotter than usual, depending on your cooling setup.

Overall, a good card. I haven’t had any issues with it, but at around $600, it’s kind of tempting to shoot for a 3070 Ti FE instead. Then again, if this is the only card you’re able to get, it’s not too bad a deal.

I built a new PC, which includes this card – I upgraded from a GTX980 and i7-6700 build that I put together in 2015 – it just wasn’t performing as well as I wanted to with the current generation of games.

All I have to say is that this card is absolutely fantastic. I am running this GPU paired with an i5-12400F and it performs brilliantly for what I need it for. It is quiet, has incredible performance, and is super good looking with the RGB’s on two sides of the card.

I am able to run Hell Let Loose on Ultra with well over 100FPS, Squad at the highest settings – averaging 110 and Tarkov with over 100 as well. Would recommend this card to anyone, if it is in your price range.

Runs heavy games like Microsoft Flight Simulator in 1440p on max settings with decent FPS. Fortnite gets over 144 fps in 1440p. If you want to over clock (not that I would do such a thing for warranty reasons) you can get the power factor up to 104 and the memory clocks really high.

Its a super stable card that runs cold and pretty quiet. Paired with a high end CPU it will play any game on the market in 1440p with decent fps.

I just built a new PC from scratch to beef up my home office and I was waiting to find a GPU like everyone else. I work with AutoCAD and I also game on this PC. I previously purchased an open box Asus RX6600 for a really great deal at my local Micro-disregardthistext-Center (about $300) and they even gave me a free extended warranty on the card because it was missing some non-essential cables.

I was still in the NewEgg Shuffle and about a week after I purchased the 6600, I won the shuffle for this RTX3060. I tested out both and they are pretty equal in my use case. I ended up giving my teenage son the 6600 and I kept the 3060.

I’m happy with the 3060 and he is grateful that I gave him the upgrade from his RX580! Prices and availability are still ridiculous with GPUs. If you are looking for 1080p Ultra settings and this card is available for a good price, grab it.

Lovely graphics card. I was designing a PC for a customer when I stumbled across this. For only $10 more than the base model, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for this awesome looking card. The PC it’s in is all-white, and it matches the theme so well.

Powerful card, and cheap as well. I wouldn’t recommend going higher-up in the 30 series as the prices start to get ridiculous. I think the 3060 is the perfect mix of performance and budget. When running most games it is completely silent (the fans don’t even have to start) and it has no trouble rendering at the highest graphics settings.

The only way I could get this thing to fire up its fans was with Minecraft RTX. Was a little noisy, but to be fair it was being compared to the rest of the Noctua cooled PC. Both the customer and I are very pleased with this GPU.

Dead on arrival. This thing had a combination of defects. On one boot, the screen would show artifacts. On another boot, the screen is fine but the fans wont spin even when the GPU gets to 100c temps.

The on another boot the fans kick in at 100 percent the moment the PC is turned on and never slows down. Every type of GPU issue I have ever heard of, this GPU had them all. Worse yet, had to drive an hour an half away to the closest best buy to return, after a drove an hour and half way to a best buy to pickup since they wouldn’t ship.

I have this card. Bought it when it was on sale. And it works perfectly. It is quiet, and the cooling is amazing. Its Windforce so it turns off the fans if it doesnt reach a certain temp. But the GPU itself does not heat up too much.

Even with stressful games. I have upgraded this from a 960 Windforce and I am extremely happy with this! Plus it goes amazingly in a white case build.

I was hesitant to buy this system as it was more expensive than some comparable models, however after looking at manufacturer’s official website I became more confident in their abilities. I’m so glad I did too, as this system from CLX is remarkable.

It was ready to go right out of the box and came with operating system and Nvidia Control Panel pre-installed. Speaking of the box, this thing came packaged so well that it could have dropped on my porch from a helicopter and would have likely survived intact.

Just be sure to open up the case and remove the padding that they use to support the video card before you try to start it up. It also came with multiple printed pages verifying that a tech at their company checked and tested every component in the system, as well as photos of what that component was.

The cable management is phenomenal, the LEDs are gorgeous, and the system itself is lightning fast. I’m playing Cyberpunk with Ultra Ray Tracing settings in 1080p and it’s smooth as butter. It runs my Valve Index VR like a champ at 144hz.

Quality all around. My only complaint, which is nothing CLX did wrong, is that the specifications on Newegg did not tell me what style/ manufacturer of motherboard or GPU was installed (just stated it was an RTX 3060ti).

Anyone who has built a computer knows that the manufacturer makes a HUGE difference, so I was rolling the dice a little in this regard. Looking at CLX’s website again gave me comfort as they seem to mainly use MSI products in their Intel/Nvidia builds.

This particular one ended up coming with an MSI Z490A-Pro and MSI Ventus GPU, both of which I am happy with especially at this price point. For a pre-built mid level gaming system, you can’t go wrong with this one.

You won’t be playing with Ultra Ray Tracing in 4k at 120hz or anything, but you’ll easily part two times or more for that kind of capability. This system will obliterate 1080p and 1440 though, which is exactly what I was wanting.

If you want total control over the components, go to the CLX website where you can pick literally everything. If you don’t want that level of complexity and just want a gaming computer that works amazingly well out of the box with no hassle or tech knowledge required, buy this one.

Purchased the PC as a Gift for my father to run 2020 Microsoft Flight Simulator. Like many of the reviews the CPU cooler is the only truly weak link in the system. Components: – RAM: (2) Team T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 8gb 3200 MHz (16 GB total) – GPU: Nvidia Gforce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card from ASUS – CPU: Intel i7-11700F – CPU Fan: Cooler Master (junk) – Motherboard: Gigabyte B560 DS3H – Storage: 500 GB WD Blue SN550 SSD that is the boot drive, along with a 1 TB WD Blue HDD.

– Tower: CyberPowerPC tower – Tower Fans: CyberPowerPC tower fans (3 total) The Good: – Really happy with the key components on this build. Considering the current GPU shortage, there is no way I could build this PC myself for $1500.

The 3060 Ti is a beast. – Easy to set up and started up fast – Packaging was good. There was expandable foam in the case, so no components seemed to be damaged and there were no loose wires. – Cable management was decent – Keyboard and mouse provided are surprisingly decent and very usable – Remote for the RGB provided is nice and has quite a few different options/colors with different settings The Bad: – The CPU cooler.

Don’t know why CyberPower would slap such an undersized CPU cooler on this build when there are so many other better alternatives at this price point. At idle and minor loads (web browsing, etc. ) is relatively ok (between 45-deg C and 50-deg C), but any heavy gaming or stress testing caused the CPU to reach 100-deg C limits and become thermally throttled.

– The tower’s airflow could be better, mostly due to the front panel of the case being completely closed off with air-flow openings. – The 2 front-side fans were set to exhaust, when they should be set as intake fans.

Why have no intake fans? Simple fix though, as I just unscrewed them and flipped them around so that they would be intaking air. All in all, I’m happy with the build for the price. If I didn’t have to swap the fans around and purchase a better CPU cooler (Noctua NH-D15 chromax), this would be 5-stars, but for those reasons I have to knock it down to 4.

One small change could go a long way in improving customer satisfaction.

The TL;DR for this review is, it’s great, has great specs, it’s a solid price, good value but it needs a better CPU cooler if you’re going to actually use it for it’s intended purpose, if not for that issue it would get 5 stars.

Luckily it’s a $50, 30 minute fix and then you’re off to the races but you shouldn’t have to go to those lengths for a new PC advertised as a “Gamer Xtreme Desktop”. So, i’d wanted to replace my aging gaming PC for the last year or so with a custom build, but the general craziness around parts pricing and availability made that a relatively impossible prospect.

I decided that prebuilt was my best option despite some of the naysayers online. This PC sounded like a great option and for $1600 was a good deal for something i could go pickup same day with no hassles and be using immediately without having to pickup a screwdriver.

It’s a really solid PC with great specs and feels lighting fast (perhaps because I was coming from something so old), I actually really like the case which is sleek and minimalist and even though I didn’t think I was a RGB person, I’ve come around and think they look pretty cool.

Even the mouse and keyboard are pretty decent. So, the downside, as many other reviewers have pointed out, the CPU runs very hot, particularly under any real load. This is because the CPU cooler included is not up to spec.

This might not seem like a big deal, but if you intend to play games at high settings on this PC (which is presumably why you are buying a gaming PC with these higher end specs) then you will likely encounter this problem, best case your fans just goes nuts all the time, worst case the PC will keep crashing.

Reading some of the reviews that appears to be a very common issue. The easy fix as many others have pointed out is to get a screwdriver and reverse two fans for better airflow, which takes 2 minutes, and replaces the crappy CPU cooler with something much better, I took the advice of the other owners and went for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition for $49.

Replacing the CPU might seem a little daunting if you’ve never done it before but if you’ve built an Ikea bookcase you can do this, just take your time, read the instructions and look up a video (of which there are plenty) for help.

Once you do all that you’re all set. My idle CPU temps went from ~45c down to ~25c and under load from pushing 100c down to ~60c, basically halved. It’s crazy that CyberPower are selling a PC that can’t handle the purpose for which it’s designed but if you’re willing to spend an extra $50 and roll up your sleeves you can get a great PC the way it should have been designed.

A few other notes: – When I first booted up the PC and went through the Windows 11 setup, it wouldn’t connect to wifi and kept telling me wifi was turned off. I couldn’t figure it out and thought maybe I had a defective motherboard.

I eventually had to run an ethernet cable to my router to get it working and luckly once Windows was setup the wifi magically started working. – Speaking of wifi, some people complained at how bad the onboard wifi was, particularly how slow.

I haven’t had issues myself but that could be because my motherboard is different, which leads to me my next point. – Not all these computers have the exact same components/parts manufacturers, it seems to depend on what they can get their hands on.

You’re getting the same basic specs though. – I decided to double the RAM up to 32GB to give it some more bang which isn’t strictly necessary but felt like a cheap upgrade. – The SSD is only 500GB which you’ll fill up fast.

You have a 1TB physical harddrive too but one of my next upgrades is to buy a second SSD. I had a SATA m. 2 SSD lying around but the motherboard in this particular build wouldn’t take it, so make sure you buy the right kind.

This Gaming PC is excellent and paired with the right monitor and other accessories really brings out the beauty of videogames. With the 3060 Ti graphics card that the product comes with you will have no problem playing upcoming games and old favorites on ultra settings and not dropping a single frame either.

The Pros: The ever so elusive RTX 3060 TI that could be bought at this same price from select scalper comes included in this product. Comes prebuilt so you will not have to worry about gathering parts separately and building your pc from scratch.

650 w power supply allows room to add more fans or switch out other components for ones that require more power. Comes with decent keyboard so no need to buy another. The mouse not so much. Ready for you right out of the box for ease of use.

The Cons ( The only reasons that I cannot give this a 5 star) Although one can use it straight out of the box I would heavily not recommend doing so as the fans on this pre-built are not placed optimally.

The PC I received had all fans oriented as exhausts which hinders any airflow inside the case making cooling it quite difficult. I suggest that you double check the orientation of the fans and figure out whether your fans are oriented in the way of exhausts or intakes.

This is not a major problem if you are willing to open up the case and flip the fans for better air flow or purchase more case fans to add to the setup. The CPU fan sucks, you could be ok with just the fan that is provided but to ensure that your CPU does not even approach 100 degrees Celsius I would recommend purchasing an alternate CPU Fan.

The one I purchased was from amazon and was called the Noctua NH-U12S Redux. For 50 dollars it was worth the price and quite simple to install after removing the cheap CPU fan in the PC. The cable management is decent at best.

Though the business end of the PC looks clean and organized the back end is crammed with cables. This is not entirely CyberPowerPC fault since the power supply is semi modular there are cables that cannot be removed from the case but unfortunately the case fans that rely on RGB are plugged straight to the power supply instead of the headers on the motherboard.

This makes adjusting wires and switching out fans quite difficult without tearing apart all the connections that were previously made. In conclusion a fine product for someone who wants to get into PC building especially when you realized that currently there is a graphics card shortage which makes finding the desired GPU very costly.

Excellent machine for the moderate gamer. I had an older Lenovo gaming system that was a few years old. It was time for an upgrade and came across this beauty. I can tell you right now, if want smooth graphics and effortless set up, then this is the machine for you.

I have no idea why some say the fans are loud. I cannot hear them running and the machine stays very cool. Those people are probably trying to make the computer do things that it isn’t capable of.

This gaming PC has out performed all expectations i had and is a tremendous upgrade to the previous tower I’d been using. Easy to uograde with swing-arm tech. So many ports put in the best places to make wire routing a brees.

A lot of thought was put into this design and it really shows. Download the app for changing the colors as well as programming each games use of available features such as RAM used and fps. Awesome gaming desktop PC.

Hands down the best price point for what you get with Aurora R12.

Excellent output without sacrificing energy. As you jump up in the series levels with Nvidia you’ll find large jumps in power consumption. This won’t matter for average gaming or simple daily computing but if your running long-running programs such as [email protected] your energy bill will matter and that’s where the GTX1060 and the RTX2060 Super will fit your needs.

Does both 1040p and 1440 resolutions at an affordable cost. Well within good operating temperatures too which is important in the summer season! Check out the figures for yourself and see what energy consumption you have with the RTX2080Ti and the 3080Ti.

Basically this card functions like any other RTX 2060 super, no need to go in about the performance because there are hundreds of reviews out there. What I will mention is the cooling/thermals; in an average PC case it will choke and at 100% GPU heat up to 81C.

This is compared to the 71C of my old GTX970 Asus Strix which I had just swapped out. Part of the reasons are that the fans are placed too far off the board; the right hand fan is actually not blowing much on the main body and so isn’t really cooling where it should be! Next is the noise; pretty quiet except for one slight flaw.

Due to the fan mounts being slightly loose, when the card is installed and the PC is upright, there is a weird rattling noise once fanspeed exceeds 50%. I managed to minimise this noise by tightening up the screws that mount the fans to the heatsink but I really shouldn’t have to do this.

Further to this I have also purchased a GPU support to mitigate any further card sag; the rattling noise is eliminated if I supported the corner of the card which is unsupported. I think this is down to having a plastic instead of metal backplate which means the card is not as rigid as it ought to and thus the plastic fan shroud will bend slightly.

In summary, this card performs as expected albeit with some minor niggles. I don’t think I can whole heartedly recommend this as it is already Rev 02 and those issues should have been fixed.

IšverstiShow in original languageHP’s OMEN 40L Desktop brings you top level performance all in a stunning mid-tower case which is perfect for all of your gaming needs. While there are some options of customization, the pre-built options seem to be fairly well balanced which means you’ll get a good overall value.

My OMEN arrived well packaged with just the right amount of support to ensure that it would survive the delivery. The interior cardboard support did a surprisingly good job of keeping the PC nice and snug.

After removing the PC from the box, I verified the internal hardware to ensure no cables came loose upon transport which passed in my book. The first thing I noticed was just how beautiful this case is and how thoughtfully it was engineered.

It features a glass side panel (which is fairly common) to display the internal components, and plenty of ventilation both along the front panel and the top of the case. It also was designed with easy access to internal components (toolless access) on the front glass, left glass, and right rear panel.

Other things that made quite an impression on me, the GPU bracket is no joke with this case; while it’s made of plastic, its large enough to accommodate even the largest GPUs on the market. It provides excellent stability for the RTX 3070, only peculiar thing is that it uses a proprietary adapter to connect to the 2x 6+2 pin power supply cables which isn’t a big deal.

The OMEN’s CPU AIO (all-in-one cooler) looks amazing as it looks bold against the contrast of the black case. I was also happy with other components utilized in the build, such as the HyperX 2×8 GB DDR 4 (heat sinks and setup with dual channel to provide optimal performance), a terabyte NVMe M.

2 Western Digital SDD for storage, and of course AMD Ryzen 7 5800x processor (not visible, however verified with cpu-z). Other notable components are the Cooler Master Power Supply along with Cooler Master fans, all excellent choice components which allows this PC to run flawlessly.

The default package does come preinstalled with Windows 11 Home (Professional would be a better), but works either way. Where, I found myself a bit disappointed was with the front panel IO. It’s great that it comes with 4 USB ports, but it did not have any USB-C ports which is fairly common with PCs at this level.

Additionally, while the OMEN AIO cooler looks fantastic, it tends to be louder than I would expect, especially when not underload, however it does a decent job of keeping the CPU cool when it is underload.

Gaming on the OMEN 40L has been fantastic, this PC is well optimized and it performs very well for its cost/value. I ran a quick synthetic benchmark test with UserBenchMark – and HP built a great PC: results indicating performance overall is 81st percental, meaning out of 100 PC’s built similarly, only 19 PC’s out performed this particular model.

I’m able game with this PC paired with a 34inch wide monitor (3440 x 1440 resolution) and still achieve an average frame rate of 165 – 280 FPS depending on the title. Performance would likely improve if just gaming at 1080P and I’m sure lower gaming in 4k, but stable and consistent.

This rig is perfect for gaming, and while it may not be using the very latest (most high-end components), it’s an excellent value as it performs well and the design of this PC affords you the ability to easily make upgrades in the future.

If you’re looking for a great gaming no fuss PC, then this would make a great addition or upgrade!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI firstly want to state that this machine is really quite good overall. Aesthetics are quite nice, most components are up to “gamer” standards, and you really won’t be going wrong with this machine as a pre-built.

I’m impressed with the name brand RAM, installed in a dual-channel configuration which is important for a Ryzen processor. The 120mm AIO water cooler looks nice and performs reasonably well. The machine maintains good thermals and stays quiet while gaming.

One issue I had after receiving this machine was that the CPU got seemingly stuck at 0. 5GHz. Upgrading/reinstalling the BIOS fixed this issue. The BIOS definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Very few settings are configurable here, but some are exposed through the Omen software and Ryzen master.

The motherboard appears to be HP specific and there have only been a few BIOS updates. I worry that this machine will miss out on Ryzen firmware upgrades that fix instability/performance issues in the future.

I would prefer having a USB-C or two on the front panel instead of four USB-A ports (2 USB 3. 1 and 2 USB 2). The design of where the USB ports are makes installing and removing some devices difficult.

McAfee being pre-installed is annoying. The other software is HP related. The Omen software is alright and even enables pushing the RAM with an XMP profile. The included mouse and keyboard are awful.

In my opinion, if you are already spending on a machine you should also spend for a good mouse and keyboard and not rely on cheap included peripherals. I appreciate that this machine provides easy upgradeability with push buttons to pop off the side panels.

There is room for 2. 5″ drives behind the motherboard tray and the RTX 3070 can be easily swapped out for a new GPU in the future. The motherboard has one empty PCI express 8x slot that can be used for a faster NIC, USB controller, or other PCIe device in the future.

Really enjoying this machine so far. It performs great and should be useable/upgradeable long into the future.

This card is a fantastic upgrade over my EVGA GTX 1070. I have thrown a multitude of games at this card so far such as Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare (2019) , and Forza Horizon 4. It is plenty capable of handling these games.

On Cold War I am running a constant 60 FPS in 4k with Ray tracing on high, Ultra textures, High particles, 4K texture pack, and DLSS on “balanced”. Modern Warfare runs even better. Forza Horizon 4 is incredibly impressive as well.

The card doesn’t break a sweat with every possible setting maxed out and stays right at 60. I cannot speak to this card’s performance for 144 hz applications given that my monitor is a 60 Hz Samsung.

However, not many people focus too hard on 4k anyway due to these refresh restrictions. Nonetheless, I figured the 4K performance would be worth mentioning as this is what is most impressive to me. I have zero doubt that this card will be an absolute champion of 1080p gaming and will probably perform up to the 144 hz standards in 1440p as well.

This card is significantly smaller than my dual fan 1070 was by about 2 inches, so that was some welcome space freed up inside the case. I also think EVGA is underrating these cards, because mine is running 1995 mhz boost clock with no overclock according to afterburner.

I know some variation is expected, but that is a full 200 over what is listed. On a side note, I have always run EVGA cards and I believe they are the best in the business. Between the step up program and their customer service, it is hard to beat them.

This is yet another home run by them.

UPDATE: Newegg customer service was good but they could only offer a refund as they had no cards available to exchange. I contacted EVGA and they had STELLAR service and set up and advanced RMA for me.

A few days later I received a replacement GPU (upgraded to FTW3 as I assume that is what they had at the ready) and it is running amazingly well. Due to the great service and performance of the replacement I fell that upping to 3 stars is more appropriate and a better reflection of my experience.

ORIGINAL: After months of waiting, and countless losses in the Newegg shuffle I was finally chosen to be among the few able to purchase a GPU. I was excited as I was even lucky enough to get to buy the GPU I wanted all along, the 3060 ti (and from my fav GPU vendor EVGA)! Well, my excitement quickly faded after installing it.

After stripping out the display drivers and GFE with DDU, I proceeded to shutdown, remove my trusty EVGA GTX 970 SSC, and install my shiny new RTX 3060 ti XC. To my astonishment I couldn’t even get to the splash screen.

After 7 minutes of black screen I was finally greeted with the MSI splash screen, although it crawled into view slowly. When Windows finally loaded the same slowness was apparent. Moving the mouse was a battle, as was trying to open anything.

I finally got to Display Settings and saw that Windows showed the card was running at 1920×1080 @ 60Hz, however when digging deeper into Advanced Display Settings, the Display Information showed the card was at 1920×1080 @ 1Hz.

That’s NOT a typo, 1 HZ!!! That explained why everything seemed so slow and unresponsive. No worries though, a quick install of the latest driver should fix that, right? WRONG! Well, partially wrong.

After rebooting the slowness was gone but performance was far from good. I have a huge backlog and thus am really only playing older games (The Witcher 3, GTAV, Tomb Raider, Hellblade, etc. ) which my 970 played well, but not to the level that my monitor supports (1440 @ 165Hz).

I figured the 3060 ti would absolutely destroy with these titles, but imagine my horror when I fired up the built-in benchmark in Tomb Raider and got. 15 fps? This was a joke I thought. I must have something hooked up wrong, I mean my 970 ran that same benchmark on Ultimate @ 1440p w/ an average of 54 fps.

So I disassembled the rig and put it back together again, making sure everything was nice and tight. Fired it up, slowness again, but self corrected after a few minutes. Benchmarked again, same results.

Ran the benchmarks in Batman Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight, along with M-E:SoM. All of these had similar results or just flat out crashed. Flabbergasted I reinstalled my 970 and performance was exactly like it was before, which is to say top notch for a 6-7 year old card.

I was back to getting 60 fps across games ranging from mid-high to high/ultra settings depending on the title. I again DDU stripped the drivers and this time installed an older driver, but performance only increased by a small margin.

It appears that I have gotten a lemon, as happens from time to time, and I will need to file a RMA. However, due to the semi-conductor shortage and the severe constraint on GPU’s I have no idea when I will be able to get a replacement.

Now to decide do I want to deal with Newegg on this, or try directly going to EVGA. MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WIFI AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 32 GB G. Skill DDR4 3600 EVGA Supernova 750 G3 EVGA RTX 3060 ti XC (now back to my GTX 970).
