20 Best 3/4 Ton Truck Tires (2022 Updated)

Tires shipped quickly and came in great condition. I’ve bought tires online before where the beads were touching making seating the bead a chore. The tires mounted great and balanced very nice for an off brand.

They’re quiet on the road and I believe they’ll offer the traction an all terrain is supposed to. Will definitely be installing more of these for my customers who are looking for a good tire at a great price.

Well the overall purchase experience was great. My phone did a boo boo and auto filled some info wrong, so had had to have that straightened out. The individual who helped with that was great. As far as the tires go,,, I’ve had them two days and we’re looking for a review.

Well ok ,,, they are round and black,, a good start. The tread looks as aggressive as I had hoped, since it is August, haven’t really been able to see how they handle in the snow and ice yet, hard to say if they will perform for 30 or 40 thousand miles, I do have 1 mile on them , that went good, so definitely 5 stars on that.

So far , completely satisfied!.

I put these on the rear of my high top van (NV2500). I am experiencing a bit of sway now and a bit of reduced control ability. I’m guessing it’s due to the much more aggressive tread design. However I’m hoping this will be offset by the benefits of increased traction in snow this winter.

All the specs were the same as my previous tires except for the tread pattern. I’ sure these would be great on an SUV, but I wouldn’t buy these for this type of vehicle again.

Have these on a 2011 Silverado 1500 and have put 10K km on these tires in a wide range of driving conditions. In short, if you’re looking for a tire to use year round in mixed on/off road driving I would definitely recommend these tires and would buy again.

I do 80/20 on/off road driving and have had Michelin Defender LTX and Duratracs before and was looking for something in between the performance of these two. On road: the Coopers are quiet and smooth with no noticeable difference in ride quality/handling from the LTX, no noticeable affect on mpg.

Better road manners than the Duratracs, especially at highway speed. Off road: the off roading I do is light. Mostly gravel/dirt roads, wet grass, and light mud (at most half a foot). The Coopers do great on gravel/dirt, the rock ejectors do their job and the truck feels planted the entire time through corners and hills.

Zero issues with wet grass, flat or on a hill. Would not be my top choice for mud, the Duratracs really shine here. Coopers have some slippage in deeper sections in 2WD where the Duratracs wouldn’t. In 4WD the Coopers can take on mud conditions with ease where you have stock clearance.

Winter: The Coopers do very well in snow, zero issues, no noticeable difference from the Duratracs. Better on ice than the Duratracs, but ice is ice so nothing is going to beat a dedicated winter tire.

On ice there is slippage (with an empty truck bed) when accelerating from a stop in 2WD, but in 4WD have had zero issues. Overall a good tire in winter conditions. The Coopers are a great year round all-terrain tire for a truck/SUV and perfect for my needs!.

I bought these to replace the OEM tires on my 4Runner and I’m very happy with them. I have a couple thousand miles on them so far and have driven in all conditions, dry, hot, wet, snow, ice, dirt/gravel roads, and a little bit of mud.

They have handled all conditions very well and have given me a sense of confidence/safety that I was looking for. Compared to your standard highway tire they only added a slight bit of noise, definitely quieter than other tires in this segment that I’ve experienced.

I wasn’t able to notice an MPG decrease either, maybe. 5mpg loss if there is any difference. They cut through water very nicely, they’re really good in the snow, especially fresh snow, and they are showing no damage or signs of wear so far.

I will say if you encounter mud often look at other tires, these seem to fill up with mud and lose performance very quickly. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars for me is that they are not fully siped, so about halfway through the life of these tires the sipes will be gone and your water/snow performance will decrease.

My next tires will have full depth siping.

I purchased these for my 2016 Honda CR-V AWD. a bit more aggressive than what you typically find on stock CR-V’s, but my Michigan exploring and photography sometimes takes me through rougher back roads and 2-tracks, even during extremely harsh and heavy winters.

Let me tell you: These tires ROCK! Since the majority of my driving is still on paved roads, after seeing the awesome but fairly aggressive tread, I was really concerned that these would be noisy, handle rather loosely on the curvy paved roads, or be uncomfortable or sketchy when hitting rough spots on the highways at higher speeds.

Immediately after getting them installed, I was pleasantly surprised and almost shocked at how quiet these tires are, and how well they grab the road and handle through curves, turns, and day-to-day driving including on the highway where they absorb bumps well, and still feel solid.

I have much more peace of mind venturing out into rougher areas now as these grab through the dirt and mud extremely well, and although I haven’t had them through winter yet, have no doubt that they will also be exceptional performers in the snow.

I’m actually really looking forward to that! My wife’s 2011 CR-V is due for new tires this fall, and I’m very seriously considering stepping her up to these awesome tires as well! Besides their exceptional performance, they look awesome too!.

I only have about 10K miles, however have been quite impressed with these tires. My first road trip was from OK to VA, and poured rain the whole time. I was pulling a trailer, and had no issues with traction, hydroplaning, or braking.

Second road trip was from OK to CO. Dry pavement, tires were very quiet (no noticeable noise), absolutely no issues. I’ve been in Co for the past month with some mountain roads, snow, and ice. Traction is great, and felt comfortable on rough roads, mud, and some snow.

In the past two days we’ve received over a foot of snow here in CO, and these tires are awesome! Traction and braking are far better than the two previous sets of Michelins on my 2017 Expedition. Unless the mileage winds up being far less than the Michelins, I would definitely buy them again.

At only 10K, it’s too early to judge that aspect, however at this point I am extremely pleased.

I’ve used Cooper Discoverer tires for 35+ years now, 6 sets total. I get great tread life out of Cooper Discoverers on the various Jeeps I’ve owned over those 35+ years. They’ve lasted me anywhere from 49,000 up to 64,000 miles, depending on my driving & road conditions.

I rotate them every 5K & check tire pressures bi-weekly. Take care of them & they will last. I’m very fortunate to have a wife who’s also a car care fanatic. Honestly folks, when was the last time you checked the fluid levels & tire pressures on your car? They don’t take care of themself.

I come from a time when gas station attendants did all that whenever I said “fill er up please”. I miss those days. We purchase over $2,000 in goods online every month. But this was my 1st online tire purchase & I could not have found a better company to handle that purchase for me.

I have a 2021 Chevy Blazer RS I’m running in a 265/50/20. Which is the same overall diameter as the stock 21in wheel and tire set up. I have put around 5,000 miles on them and they have handled everything I have thrown at them! I drive around 30,000mi a year.

I do mostly 2-Lane back roads. Occasionally one lane dirt and gravel roads. We just had our first snowfall with accumulation and these handled it better than any other tire I have run. With wet roads they do really well, no hydroplaning so far! Dry traction is amazing these handle dry roads as well as any all season or touring tire I have run.

The road noise is well managed for an all terrain with very minimal tread growl at highway speeds. As for tread ware I can’t comment but I hope they do well. As far as fuel economy goes, I have seen a slight decrease in MPG around 1 MPG.

But for all the other things this tire does so well it is well worth it!!! I will always consider and recommend Cooper from here on out!! Well done cooper!!!.

I have read else where about how loud these tires are. I have to say I think they are very quiet for a more aggressive tread. I barely hear them going down the highway. I have no complaints with the traction these tires offer for a hybrid A/T design.

They have never left me stranded in the snow, and perform rather well in in the greasy wyoming mud. There is not a lot of siping but they still feel planted on winter roads. I am impressed with the wear of these tires.

I do rotate about every 5000 miles. I currently have just over 60,000 miles on this set and they will get me through the summer camping season. I would highly recommend this tire for someone that enjoys getting in the back country but also wants a tire that performs well as a daily driver.

I put these on my 2011 Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 and I am glad I did. Aside from looking great they handle great on the road while being a bit louder then my BF Goodrich Rugged Trails. They handle so much better then the Rugged Trails.

In the mud and slop these tires chewed through the terrain. Just had them on the road during a heavy rain storm and these fun country tires handled like a champ. The tread is deep and the side walls are aggressive looking.

Highly recommended tires for all your on/off road adventures.

I have only had the tire a few weeks and what I can tell you is that the rubber of the treds seem to be more hard then the bfgoodrich that are so popular. I had them side by side before they got put on.

That being said they are a little noisy, nothing unusual for an AT tire and have a great tred. I hoping to get good use out of this tire from traveling both on highway and off road from Chicago to California.

Maybe I’ll offer a more solid review after that. Yes I would buy these again.

I purchased 265/70/17 3 years ago. I drive 89 miles one way to work 2 times a week from WV to NC plus whatever I do in my time off. I LOVED these tires, worn great, lots of tread still left even when I decided to replace them.

I totally could had got another year out of them given if I lived in an area that doesn’t see much snow. We get a lot of snow in WV and can accumulate to several inches. These tires did awesome only a few times did I slide but thats cause I was driving too fast for conditions but was able to get it back under control.

I hydroplaned a few times but thats only when my tread started getting low and again, my fault. I drove fast around curves and these hug the road nicely not allowing me to fishtail evem when the tread were low.

I wished I had the money to buy these again but when I purchased these 3 years ago it costed me over $1000 at Walmart, but I did get the road warranty too. Would I recommend “Oh Yes!” I didnt do much off roading but when I did these did a great job, go good in snow (I rarely use my 4wd only when I seriously need it most of the time its in 2wd.

) So yes, if you have the money I would recommend.

I just got the tires so I have no comment on how they wear. What I can say is I have an old F150 pickup. I live in Central New York area, which gets a good amount of snow. The only weight I have in the bed is the spare tire.

Not long ago I got to drive through 6″ to 8″ ‘s of snow. The only time the tires spun, and that was briefly, was at stop signs in unplowed sections. The roads were unplowed and I had no problems. I am well pleased with these tires.

I bought these tires for my 2012 z71 chevy colorado. It came with the same tires when I bought the truck new with only 15 miles back in 2011. The tires lasted me 10 years 125,000 miles. I could of push it for probably another year maybe 2 but decided it was time for new tires.

I had never had tires that lasted me this long and had tires on my other vehicles with highly known name brands that only lasted me fro 50,000 to 75,000 miles (5 years). I highly recommend these tires.

These almost need 2 rating categories. Overall they look great and are one of the best all terrain tires I’ve found, and I’ve tried numerous over the past 20+ years. Price is very competitive and it seems like nearly every size imaginable is offered.

I put about 15,000 miles on these, a good portion of it off road, the first 60 days I’ve had them and they still look practically brand new. I’ve read a few reviews of people trashing them quickly and that doesn’t seem like it’s going to be an issue based on what I’ve seen so far.

They do noticeably break in and get quieter IME, more so than I was expecting, but considering how chunky they are, they are still a very quiet tire from the start. My brother ended up getting a set after he tested mine out as well.

For off road, I’d pretty much give these 5 stars across the board for an all terrain tire. They’re obviously not going to clear mud like a MT tire but for an all around tire, these are great. The tread blocks are large and these just do what they’re supposed to.

Have no issues running with reduced pressure on stock rims either. For on road, I feel they leave quite a bit on the table. My main complaint is they are really flexible. I got the normal load rated tires, so maybe the heavier ones address this better, but the sidewalls have noticeable lateral flex even at low speeds when turning.

It’s not enough that I find it to be a safety issue but I could feel it immediately, and this was coming from some inferior Hankook’s that were on their last leg. So, with that in consideration, if you drive mostly on a dry road, these are probably not what I would recommend especially if you have high speed limits in your area.

If you spend a bunch of time on dirt and snow and want something all around more chunky than an all season tire, I can’t think of another tire in the price range I would recommend over these.

I truly love these tires great in the snow and rain quiet on the highway and didn’t lose much mpg. I just hit about 45k on them and they have been rotated every 5k miles rigorously. My only concern is they still have 8/32 on them and dealer said they are wearing even but the side tread blocks seam to be losing wear faster.

Sipes on side tread blocks don’t go all the way into the compound it self kinda disappointing, also lots of dry rot for a 2 year old tire doing mainly highway. Just frustrated the edges of the tire don’t have sipes the whole tread depth.

Granted proper inflation has been determined before tires hit the road with chalk tests. Maybe someone can reach out as I know I was close to one of the first or second batch of tires. Just concerned about longevity’s and handling not that I’m losing sipes.

Very nice tread pattern quiet when operating but has good bite. Ride smooth. Very pleased with these tires where is the overall look and appearances great they look nice on my truck. Definitely worth the money.

I purchased this set of tires for my ’09 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara as for an upgrade, lift kit. 2 days after purchase, I was able to test them out 4-wheeling in the mountains of Colorado. They performed very well on the dry trails, of course, and once we reached higher altitude, were able to test out the snow and a little bit of ice.

They did a great job in the shallow snow in 4HI, and very well in the deeper stuff in 4LO. I also was able to test the road ride home to South Dakota a couple days later, and they did well at highway speeds (75-80 mph), and rode just as well as the stock Dueler A/Ts (not Revo) that came on the Jeep.

Road noise was no different, perhaps a little noticeable, but it’s a Jeep, not a touring sedan, so you have to expect to hear a little road hum. On the newer surfaces, the ride was nice, smooth, and fairly quiet in that respect.

They also look great for an AT tire. I bought a set of 17 inch (rim size) 34. 4 inch tire height, which is a nice, wide, fairly aggressive look. I’ve owned several sets of the Dueler A/Ts, but not the Revo 2 until now.

I would definitely purchase this model again for my wife’s Tahoe when it comes time.

I bought this brand because they were on my van when purchased used. I was impressed by their performance. When it came time for new tires I looked online extensively. Due to my previous experience with this brand, I purchased the All Country CHT in a bit oversize from stock.

The tires required 2 big weights and 2 medium weights on each tire to balance (unknown how many ounces that is) It looked excessive but I didn’t have to see them once the wheel covers went on. The ride of these tires is very smooth and very quiet.

I have not encountered any wet conditions in the 500 miles I have driven. I am very satisfied with these tires on my 2011 Ford E150 van and recommend them. If your vehicle is more than 6 years old, I would replace tpms sensors at the same time.

I did not and had to pay for the r/r of tires twice when one sensor battery died.

I road warrior w my 2015 Ram 3500 Dually Cummins 4WD all over the US, 40-50K yearly, pulling an 8,000 lb RV / Mobile office. These New tires track well, eject rainwater, wear evenly and are quiet at highway speeds.

I rotate every 4K without fail, as I need to get 60K per set of tires w the mileage I drive. They do really well in icy road conditions with a slight deflation of 10 PSI, normally an 80 PSI tire. Easily as good as the Michelin’s for 1/3 the price for 6 tires! Very pleased.

I can’t complain one bit. The price of these tires are great! Tires have very deep tread and will last a while. My truck drives smooth. Saved hundreds going with these tires. Very happy. Good quality.

So far I am impressed with the tires. Seem like good rubber,, and have good balance right from the start. I have not gotten any discounted tires in a long time. We have 10 miles of dirt road to see a highway,, and have bucket loads of nails in the road.

Time will tell how well they shed picking up nails,, and how well they hold up with rutted dirt roads.

I have a lifted Jeep and went with the skinny Tire look. They look really cool! And for the price you can hardly beat them, but they took a lot of weights to balance, which means they’ve not been cast very well.

They did balance and are working great. Would probably do it again.

Great all terrain tire. We drive on dirt, gravel,mud and snow. No complaints so far.

I just had to write a review and that’s not something I usually do. I have a 2016 Ford F-150 4×4 that I bought new from the dealer. It was built up by the dealer with a 6” lift and a bunch of aftermarket stuff.

They had custom wheels with Toyo Open Country ATll 35×12. 50R20 tires. This was the first time I had a Toyo tire. I have liked the tires as far as on the road, low noise and very responsive tires compared to some other manufacturers I’ve had on other trucks.

I use this truck as my daily driver and my farm truck and off road they have performed exceptionally well. I kept the tires rotated religiously every 5K miles, they now have 101,000 miles on them. It is time to replace the tires, which is why I’m on the Toyo website because I wanted to make sure I was getting the best new Toyo tire for my truck.

I could probably get another 5-10K miles out of my current tires but I have a slow leak in one. I had it checked and there is nothing in the tire and they suspect that it is dry rot that is causing the leak.

I have never in my life had a tire that performs as well as Toyo and has had tread that has lasted so long that the tire would have to be replaced because of dry rot, lol. I highly recommend Toyo Open Country Tires, you cant go wrong.
