20 Best 3D Pen For Adults (2022 Updated)

The Pro Pen 2 is absolutely stunning, especially compared to my Surface Pen. The degree of control is unmatched. It doesn’t have the shakes when drawing on my Cintiq, and has tons of customization options in the software.

The fact that it never needs batteries is a major sell as well. The only thing I would change is the size and weight. Maybe a smidge thinner and heavier? But that could just be me.

I got this in an effort to have a more comfortable to hold pen during long drawing/writing sessions on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. I was told by a Beat Buy employee that it would work with the Tab S7 because it had the same Wacom EMR tech.

Spoiler alert: it did not work. Turns out the employee was incorrect. Otherwise it is a very high quality pen that I am sure is just lovely to use on a compatible device.

If your Wacom Pro Pen ever dies out, or if you want to be able to switch between nib types with minimal downtime, this will suit you perfectly. It should be noted that this is only usable on Wacom drawing tablets such as the Intuos Pro, Cintiq, and Wacom’s MobileStudio Pro tablet PC, though; if you want a Wacom tablet pen that will work on other devices, such as a Lenovo Yoga or Surface Pro, you’re better off getting the Bamboo Ink.

I love everything about it. It charges in minutes, lasts for days! It’s silent! I tap ALOT, I can not stand the constant sound other stylus make. There are replacement tips readily available. It turns on and off like clicking a pen, from the top.

I’ve had some that are impossible to use, the on/off is placed where I hold it so I’m constantly turning it off during use. I’ve used this stylus longer than all others combined. I’ve tried 25 different ones.

I will never use another.

I bought this pen as I was doing fine drawing, and a normal stylus was too bulky. I researched Apple iPad (5th Generation) compatible pens and this one kept coming up. I asked a few questions of the Harvey Norman team, and they agreed with what I hade found.

The team at Echuca Harvey Norman are excellent to deal with. This particular pen does not use Bluetooth to pair with a device, I believe it uses near field connectivity. All I had to do was charge the pen, and turn it on with a click, just like a normal pen.

The feel is excellent, it does lag but only slightly. The one thing that it doesn’t do that would be handy, is pressure point i. e. pressing harder to make a dot larger. I would definitely recommend this pen.

The pen works well and there has been no issues so far with it. It is simple and easy to use and has a long battery life. It feels and looks like a real pen and works smoothly on the iPad. It would be great if it came with a case like some other males and models available.

CNC-machined pen metal parts are really nice. The bolt action is unique and visually striking. The carbon fiber barrel is cool. The clip is attached with Allen-head machine screws. The whole thing is solid and handsome, in a polished, techno-industrial style.

It does not just “look that way”, it really is that way. It’s not like a Mont Blanc, it’s something truly original. Recommended if you like that techno-industrial vibe. The only negative is that the bolt action is really strong and the metal edges of the bolt channels are sharp.

Repeatedly cycling the bolt can pinch your thumb a little. Nature of the beast though, this is not a toy for children.

There isn’t much to say about this pen, because I believe it is PERFECT! I write 6 hours per day, 5 days per week and it is exactly what I was looking for, but I realize it might not be for everyone, mostly because of the weight (it feels hefty in hand).

Good materials (no staining), strong build, good clip retention, easy to change the Parker style refill. A pen that will last you a lifetime! Thank you, Bastion and Lamnia!.

This is exactly what I have been wanting. A good solid Carbon Fiber pen with a nice heft to it. Classy but not flashy. Parker Jotter refills fit perfectly, no modifications needed. Spring a bit stiff at first on the bolt action, but softened with use.

I love this pen. You will too!.

I made a bit of a guess when buying this as not very clear what to use it for- it’s labelled a ‘water mark’ pen, but as it was with the embossing powders I presumed it was for that. Luckily I was right and this double ended (large and small nibbed) pen has made embossing small details, my handwriting, or anything I can’t stamp really easy.

It’s slow drying so gives you plenty of time to get your powder on. I’ve heard people complain that other pens dry out quickly, this one seems good quality so I hope it will last but we shall see.

Very impressed with this pen. We didn’t want to use a stamp as it wasn’t personal enough for us so we decided to try the pen. The double end means we can change our writing and still have our personal touch.

Easy to use and we were surprised by how long it stays wet enough to add the embossing powder, meaning we were able to write/draw everything we wanted before adding the powder.

I originally bought both the VersaMark stamp pad and marker but although the invoice listed both only the pad was included. Customer service was great in resolving this and I now have both. That being said I love both but find the marker especially good for thin delicate enhancements or writing sentiments which I later emboss.

These were such a great price that I ordered 4 of them. One for me, and the other 3 for each of my great-nieces. Theirs will be gifts and I have not tried mine yet, but I will. I had to order the filament to use with it.

I’m looking forward to trying it and hopefully will be making me some earrings. I’m SURE my great-nieces will LOVE it and will make all kinds of goodies.

This 3D pen allows the making of thinks that never existed before. What a freedom of expression unleashed for children and adults. It and its required supplies are a little pricier than I think is warranted, but allows a level of creativity beyond traditional media.

Plugged in the pen to play and never warmed up. The power light comes on, never went to blue to use. Waited over 15 minutes. Bought for my 12 year granddaughter for Christmas. she was so disappointed.

This was a Christmas gift for my 7-year old granddaughter. She said, “I really like the gift you gave me. ” Once shown how to operate the 3D pen, she found it easy to use and loved being able to create 3d objects of her own.

She made a pair of eyeglasses and added a flower as a decorative piece. The only thing that an adult had to do for her was remove the filament. I am sure she will soon get the hang of that too. The video from your website was most helpful.

Great pen! I bought it for my 11 year old son’s birthday and he loves it. Easy to use and unlimited creativity. I normally don’t write reviews but this is a winner. I had a question about it and got the company contact from Sharper Image.

My 13 year old son loves using the 3D printer at school and we thought this would be a great gift. The wand doesn’t heat up properly and the filament is stringy and sticks like taffy to everything. I would love to know how other people have had such a great experience.

My kids love fun, creative activities and I love activities that limit their screen time. So, I figured the AtmosFlare 3D Pen would be a win for us all…and I was right! As soon as the box arrived, my kids (ages 8-12) wanted to get started creating! The directions were easy to follow and we had the pen ready to use in minutes.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that it even came with the required battery! There was a bit of a learning curve when it came to the spatial awareness needed to create 3D objects. While the concept was much easier for my older kids to grasp, I love that using the pen caused all of my kids to not only utilize their creative skills, but they also had to use critical thinking skills in order to draw objects “off the page.

” Before long they had created a house, a bridge, a monkey and more! Helpful Hint #1: Put your creations outside in the sun to harden. The ink remained a bit tacky after completing our first few creations, but placing them in the sun helped them cure.

Helpful Hint #2: Buy more ink. The pen comes with two ink cartridges, but if you enjoy using the pen as much as my kids, it won’t be long before you need more ink. Final Verdict: I have enjoyed watching my kids “think through” their creations in order to design and draw their 3D objects.

I love open-ended toys/products that help my kids learn to think outside-the-box and develop problem-solving/critical-thinking skills. So, while my kids think the pen is just plain fun to use, I, on the other hand, know that it is great learning tool as well! The price on this was extremely reasonable. I bought this for my daughter, and she enjoyed making a couple projects. The YouTube videos said the refills lasted quite a while (1000 linear feet, I think?!), but she was pretty disappointed when both the red and the blue ran out after just two or three small projects.

Refills are very expensive, so instead of buying more, I just bought a used Soyan 3D pen and some filaments (which we haven’t got to try yet) to make a comparison. The AtmosFlare was pretty easy to use.

It runs on battery, which makes it portable. It doesn’t come with any templates, so you’ll need to have an imagination! Also, because it uses light to “cure” the ink instead of heat, the projects were pretty sticky and/or brittle.

Both projects my daughter made broke. I probably would not buy this item again or recommend it to anyone who plans on using it for any length of time.

I have an artistic nine year old who loves building three dimensional objects. I thought the AtmosFlare 3D Drawing Pen would be of interest to her and I was right! It was easy to assemble – she figured out most of it without even needing the instructions.

The instructions say to not work on a bright surface and they are correct. The curing light bounces and starts to clog the nozzle if you work on a white surface. (Lesson learned!) The curing light is important so make sure you use the pen as instructed so your products dry thoroughly in a relatively short amount of time.

It takes a little practice to get the feel of working vertically. But it does build well vertically which is fascinating for a child to work with. The first time my daughter used it, she sat for a long time trying out all different kinds of ideas.

I can see many hours of fun and creativity ahead with this pen. My daughter is excited to get more of the ink cartridges in fun colors and continue learning how to create with the pen. I was provided an AtmosFlare 3D Drawing Pen to review.

ordered this 3d pen to replace a defective 3d pen from another manufacturer that stopped working after 30 min. of use. The pen still works well after many uses and I’ve used all the filament that came with it.

I am an owner of a full-sized 3d printer, so I have many spools of filament on hand. I tried out several colors that I had and they all worked great. It is a little awkward to have the loops of plastic swinging around as you try to use the pen, but it’s not a big deal.

This pen has a decent shape and isn’t too bulky to hold for adults or kids. It does have a learning curve, but think of drawing with cake icing when using the pen. The further away from the surface will give you more uncontrolled “squiggles”, whereas the closer the tip is to the surface, it gives you a more controlled line.

Give the plastic a second or two to set before moving around, otherwise it will roll on you. But, this can also work to your advantage if you want to smooth out a rough spot- while the plastic still warm, you can use a silicone spatula or tool to push it down.

(Don’t use your fingers, it is HOT plastic!) The plastic is hard and sturdy if you make enough layers/support. We’ve made some neat rings to wear as well as little stacking boxes.

Being a parent really can be a taught job and looking up for your child’s well being and proper learning can get a little taught, especially now a days when all they want is cool gadgets and smartphones.

This 3D pen is a hybrid of both the things. It’s perfect for learning, great for entertainment and is the latest tech out there. It’s not only fun, but completely safe for kids as I heard about other pens that it would heat up and you’d have to be very careful while using it.

I couldn’t be happier with this pen. It truly is a must have for all the kids as well as adults.

This is by far the best 3d pen I have used on the market. It fits the hand perfectly for hours of use. They seem to have found the perfect size between the 3Doodler and 3Doodler 2. 0. The variable speed option has great range! I would definitely recommend this pen over any of it’s competitors.

I do love the other Gelly Roll pens, but these were a disappointment. First of all, the colors aren’t really pastel as described. I would say only the pink, green, blue, orange, and purple pens are pastel like.

The light orange color is more of a light brown. The yellow and light green colors are just neon! They GLOW under a black light. If you own the Gelly Roll Moonlight set, they’re identical to the florescent yellow and green except for the raised texture.

The colors look slightly different on toned paper, but again, the yellow and light green pens are still neon. The other feature that these pens don’t live up to is the flow. Despite the 1. 0 millimeter tip, some of the pens feel scratchy and the ink doesn’t flow out of the pen that well.

It took a couple of strokes for me to fill in one circle. Compared to the Glaze pens, they’re very slow. I get that it’s a different ink formula (glossy vs matte), but it’s still lackluster. Overall, I’m quite surprised how bad these are compared to the other Gelly Rolls.

The Souffle pens do not live up to the “ice cream smooth” motto at all. I own and love all of the other gel pens Sakura has made. I feel as though they dropped the ball on this. I wouldn’t buy it again, especially the yellow and light green colors.

I’m a first time Sakura user. I love coloring as it helps me relax. These pens are unbelievable. They came well packaged. The colors are truly creamy. I bought these to go with the 74 count set. I used them on black paper to make a card for a friend & it was really cool how they raised up in the parts of the picture I drew.

Love the shape of the barrel because it reduces hand cramps. I’ve been using high end gel pens for my adult coloring and card projects but these have just spoiled me. You can’t beat the 2 day shipping & free returns.

I’ll definitely be spreading the word about jet. com & the price on this set with my other coloring enthusiast friends.

I absolutely love how smoothly these write, and the blue, lavender and teal are absolutely gorgeous. The pink, green and yellow are pretty but the ink is very very bright to the point that if you want to use them to write, they might be hard to read.

They might still be nice for illustrations or the like though. The one with the peachy orange cap looks more like a pale ochre color. They need a couple seconds to dry on the page in order to not smear or stick together, but that’s kind of a given with gel pens so it’s not such a big deal.

This has almost eliminated problems with prints peeling, warping, or otherwise coming loose from the print bed. Works better than a glue stick, and far easier to apply evenly. Can leave a bit of a glossy coat on the bottom of your model if you use too much, but otherwise no complaints.

Feels a bit on the pricey side, but seems to last a long time, so probably not that expensive on a per print basis.

This product is incredible! For anyone that is having issues with failed prints due to bed adhesion – Magigoo is worth every single penny! I was printing a complex part that had a small surface area contacting the build plate and had multiple failures many hours into a multi-day print.

I picked up a bottle of this stuff on a recommendation from another maker and was stunned at how well it works. Just apply a thin layer on your build surface and start printing, when your bed cools the print literally pops right off.

What an awesome piece of equipment. Looks and feels really good in the hand. Has a solid weight. As for writing with it, I’m pleased with the standard ballpoint, which is what I prefer over gel-pens with a needle point.

The grip is a bit funky for me, seeing as I’m used to straight parallel tubing, but it feels like I’ll get used to it without a problem. My penmanship is still intact with the first few strokes. As a pen, it’s awesome.

As a self-defense weapon, I suppose it can be efficient, seeing as it has a surprising point to it. It’ll definitely do some damage and probably smash or fracture small bones, if it had to. Never used a kubaton in my life, but I can be confident it’ll do it’s job without a problem.

I heard some people have an issue with the pocket clip on the cap, which I can understand because it feels thin, and maybe a bit brittle, but for now, I’m not going to test it. Either way, would recommend.

This is a good tactical pen. It is not obviously a tactical pen/weapon, and thus you can feel safe carrying it. However, it can be used instantly as a striking, yawara type weapon. You don’t even have to take off the top to use it, only if you want to write.

Closed, with the top on, it is longer than the average pen, and a good yawara length. The curved shape feels and looks good. The point is very sharp, and can be used to pierce if need be. It is a good executive tactical pen.

And writes upside down and under water as a bonus.

Saw this on my Snap On dealer’s truck and was intrigued. It feels good, writes well and looks like just a normal pen. The cap locks onto either end very firmly and completely camouflages the spike end.

The price is right here, as Snap On wanted double the prices on eBay. Great item and I’d buy it again. Uses a refill you can buy at anyplace like Office Depot, etc.

I bought this pen to write names on school books. It’s been consistently good quality and I’m happy with my purchase. Item arrived quickly and without any fuss.

Great product, use especially for plant labels and they work superb being a fine nib.

I was given the digital pen when I bought my Lenovo laptop about 5 months ago. The pen worked great at first and I loved writing my notes with it and using it to study; the buttons on the pen were especially helpful!! However, around 2 months later the pen began glitching, and would at times fail to respond to my attempts to write or draw on my screen.

This is almost more frustrating than the pen just not working at all as I would have to try and rewrite/redraw the words on my screen multiple times until the pen would finally respond. I changed the battery because it seemed like maybe the battery was dying which would explain the performance decrease but I continued to face these issues.

I even bought another pen after being desperate, tired, and frustrated by the lack of performance. This new pen faced the same challenges: working for around 2 months and then failing to respond or form words at a time.

For the somewhat significant price of a digital pen, I would have hoped that the performance would be somewhat reliable however that is not what I have experienced. I really did love this pen and it makes me incredibly sad and disappointed to say that it was not up to my standards :(.

Good entry-level digital pen, but the driver needs more customizing options, like there was no double-click option to assign to the barrel buttons. Lenovo needs to have better setup documentation. None was provided with the pen.

It’d also be great if Lenovo made a remote pen driver like the Virtual Tablet app, so I can use my pen and laptop as a digital tablet for a desktop. This would be popular because a lot of people have more powerful studio desktop PC’s they’d like to use with the tablet pen and it would eliminate needing a separate graphic tablet, like from Wacom.

I’ve been a graphic artist using mid to entry level Wacom tablets for decades, but I found that drawing directly on the screen surface with this pen felt much more natural than drawing on a tablet surface while looking at a separate screen.

The pen felt and performed much like an entry-level Wacom tablet, though this pen is half the cost. I tried the Virtual Tablet app with this pen and my Lenovo Flex 15 laptop with my studio desktop and I found there was a little lag to get used to because of the network communication between the two computers.

Virtual Tablet also needed better customization as well. It couldn’t recognize different barrel buttons or customize much, so if Lenovo made better remote drivers it would be a more valuable package.

I enjoy the responsiveness of this product and the sensitivity. I also appreciate that it works very smoothly with the Lenovo yoga and starts up immediately. As for things to know: 1) the barrel is quite thin like that of an Apple Pencil so if you intend to hold it often or for long periods of time I’d recommend purchasing a grip so you don’t strain your hand.

2) there are no set up instructions and it’s quite difficult to find info online for this exact pen. So if anything is not right, it’s difficult to fix. 3) the nib is hard plastic so be aware of that so you don’t scratch your screen.

4) it runs on AAAA batteries. One is included with the pen for immediate use.

I use the black glaze pen to draw lines and marks on top of an acrylic underlayer. I then do a final layer with neocolors ii (wax pastels). I can easily scrape off any of the wax pastel that covers the black glaze lines.

The black glaze lines are slightly raised, very black, and shiny. They add an extra wow factor to my art. I’ve only been able to find glaze pens in multicolor packs in Blick stores, so I buy the blacks individually from Blick’s website.

I’ve also tried the white and clear glaze pens. I was initially disappointed with the white pen because the lines it laid down were a translucent milky white. Then I read a review where someone said it was a super opaque white.

Gave it another try, this time laying down a thick layer. It’s translucent when wet, but becomes very opaque as it dries. It doesn’t have a glossy finish line the black glaze pens.

NOTE TO CUSTOMER : a lot of copic artists use the white gelly roll for highlights. This is not that pen or necessarily a good replacement for that. The ink comes out very differently from the gelly roll pens, and the look changes over the course of the pen drying.

Drying also takes much longer, so be careful! Definitely try it out on some test or scrap paper before jumping right in to something more delicate, there’s a learning curve. I didn’t end up liking this one since it wasn’t super bright on dark paper, but I did use the blue version on white paper, and the effect was lovely.

I would suggest one of the other colors unless you need white specifically, since you’ll be able to get mileage out of use on light and dark papers that way.

Such Incredibly bright, shiny, sparkly, turquoise gel Ink! I cannot believe how magical it looks on paper! Dries pretty quickly and when I move the paper around in the light it makes the ink look like slightly raised vinyl.

The Ink flows pretty smoothly in medium thick lines also I have had no Issue with the pen getting clogged. Adding layers will make the 3D effect more prominent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pen!.
