Great software, prints are great. Great customer service. App allows the kids to watch the project grow. The plate comes pre-leveled. One of my bolts randomly vibrated out–had to re-level the plate.

This required downgrading to the older firmware, leveling the plate then upgrading the firmware again. Great product–easy to use and the prints are amazing. Building a 3D robot right now from rcr3d dot com and it is a lot of fun!.

If you have owned the older smart extruder you will know how unreliable the product is, with about 25%-35% of print fails, with this you can print hundreds of prints without a single jam, I have printed 23 spools with one of these with only a few jams and it is still printing after over a year all i did was replace the nozzle every 10 spools and added a filter.

My replicator minis have been printing non stop since Feb 2015.

After more than 500 hours of printing, I’ve had no issues with this smart extruder. I only gave it 4 stars since it is more expensive than the original. If this extruder continues to work the way it has been so far though it is well worth the money.

It printed fine right out of the box as good as my other 9 printers. I exclusively print PETG for usable parts. Some “hairs” are normal with this printing. I went online and found an amazing simple upgrade that you can print and then just buy an all metal hot end.

It has a dual close blower fan right up on the print nozzle. So when the filament is extruded it is instantly fused. So the prints come out, not only dimensionally perfect but very smooth with no PETG “hairs” at all.

Now I want to have dual fans on all my printers because of this enlightenment. The design of this printer with the four 8 mm rods and circular bearings seem to make it very precise, as a sort of copy of the Prusa printers, it really impresses me.

I have 10 printers and this one with this thingivese upgrade hot end prints better than all of them. Smooth with very precise layers, It is dimensionally right on. The only issue I have had is the screen “button” to move the X axis is weird, but I think that is in the firmware.

It is not enough of a problem to even upgrade the firmware. Press this X move button and nothing happens, then press the Y 10 mm move and the X moves 10 MM. Has to be in the programming. (I program PLC in C++ as part of my work.

) The bed is not flat from the factory. Anddoing the leveling was nearly impossible. So, as an engineer, I put aluminum foil under the low spots and now it is perfect. I don’t hear much of this from other owners, so it may just be this bed.

I also took off the glass clamps which I think are too tight and replace them with small black spring clips. It is, right now with the upgraded hot end, my favorite printer. But straight from the factory it is OK and works fine.

I just saw this upgrade and knew I had to print it out and put it on my Mega S. This printer is used constantly, now. So pardon the dust. I have ten printers most are in constant use and clean them as needed.

These are PETG at 248 deg hot end and 85 deg bed. Notice the aluminum foil under the front end to get the bed flat. I don’t know if it is the 8mm rods are bent or the bed is just not flat? But it works great with shims.

Notice there is NO stringing with this printer. And. 16 layer height and. 36 layer width, 100% infill because these are functioning parts and need to be as strong as possible. Most people would love these upgrades.

The Anycubic i3 Mega is a very capable 3d printer. It requires minimal assembly as advertised and it simply works out of the box. The print quality is very good and the machine prints almost twice as fast as an Ender 3 Pro (which I got as my first 3d printer 6 months ago).

The only thing that bothered me, because I had watched a video about it, were the bed cables,they need a chain to keep them from eventually breaking. Other than that the only annoying thing is the difficulty when changing filaments but that may be because of the limited space I have around the printer.

I would advise slowing down the accelerations generally for a better print surface but for prototypes acceleration up to 1800mm/s2 is no problem (the ender 3 pro has a base acceleration of 600mm/s2).

All tests so far have been done with Pla. I think that in its stock form it can’t print t flexible filaments. I have ordered the Upgrade kit for Mega-S which has a new Titan-like extruder and makes printing flexibles possible.

Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend this printer for beginners because it just prints out of the box. Also, the reduced price (2 years ago this printer was around 350-400 euros – dollars) is a huge factor.

I have never 3D printed before and was a bit apprehensive about getting started, but this machine made it easy. By following the instructions I was able to print out a nice looking owl test model which came pre-loaded on the SD card.

I was so happy to see it being created correctly! I think this was a great choice for me as the price is great too and I can always upgrade to a more expensive machine later.

After many creality printers over the years, this has to be my favorite out of all of them. No other creality machine feels as polished and tested as the S1 here, and it restores alot of the faith I had in creality, given the many flunked printers theyve released since the ender 3 pro.

Setup takes 15 minutes for a seasoned expert, and no more than an hour for a newbie, which is the prime candidate for this machine. The extruder is fantastic, and will hopefully be included on other creality machines.

The cr touch probe is fast, quiet, and accurate, and the interface is simple to use. my only gripe is with the bed, because adhesion is TOO good. I set my z offset a tad too low, and the print adhered to the bed.

I would recommend upgrading to the creality PEI bed regardless, and it has made a tremendous improvement on not only my S1, but others as well. all in all you cannot go wrong with this machine, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I have had my printer for 2 weeks now. So far I’m loving it. I bought it to make a prosthetic hand for myself, which is still a work in progress. I need to learn how to 3d model now. The only con I can see so far is the bed is a little small at 150mm square, but I knew that going in.

I’ll just have to buy a bigger one next time.

After much research we decided to make this our first 3D printer and it was definitely the right decision. Extremely plug and play. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to venture into the 3D printing world.

After our first print we were addicted. Super fun for everyone in the family.

I have a flash forge creator pro at the office and decided it was time to get a bot for the house. I rarely found use for the creator pros dual extruded but loved the reliability I had from 2500 hours plus of problem free printing with my creator pro.

The Guider 2 looked like it it had what I needed ( larger bed and Flashforge print ready format) so I pulled the trigger. It’s beeen about a week since I plugged it in and already burned through the included PLA spool.

After a few days of printing, I realized this unit had a camera (and 300 c nozzle) and looked a little closer and realized this was the upgraded Guider 2s. Apparently someone in the supply chain decided that since I didn’t make a stink about a slight 5 day delay in shipping, they were going to send me the upgrade at no additional charge! Kudos to the team for that one.

I haven’t set up the cloud based function to use the unexpected camera feature yet, but the upgrade is Much appreciated! Prints are solid quality (as expected) and looking forward to problem free ABS (and maybe polycarb with the 300c nozzle) Printing to come.

Very large print area, super super quiet printing compared to my Creator Max and prints are dang near perfect. anything that requires tight dimensions, this printer prints them perfectly. The only down side I’ve seen is the automatic bed leveling is a bit of a chore and so far, hasn’t given me an accurate level.

I have to let it auto level and then I manually dial in where I believe the bed should be. ALSO the camera inside the print area is HORRIBLE it’s always overexposed so you can never actually see what’s printing unless the shadow of the print head runs over it for a split second.

Great printer as expected from FlashForge’s higher end models. The higher temp extruder allows me access to a huge range of materials and the large print volume means I have more flexibility in what I can print.

Print quality is solid and I have not run into any issues since I first plugged it in and have been printing non-stop for about 2 weeks now.

Impressive device with great build quality, design and gets the job done. Liked the software and connectivity features as well. It’s also very quiet. Bed came level from the factory and I haven’t touched it till around 6 months into 3D printing on this machine.

I have some minor complaints though: After 14 months of use, the touch screen stopped working properly. My touch did not register the first time I was touching the screen, so I needed to touch it 2 or 3 times before it understood what to do.

We then replaced the screen, and it returned to normal. Only 1kg spools fit within the filament side compartment. For our larger prints, we wanted to use 3kg spools, and so we had to design our own spool rack that stays above the printer and holds those bigger spools.

That’s my second machine by the brand and I’m happy with both. Very reliable and gets the job done. It’s easy to fix mechanical problems if they arise thanks to the design of the machine and its robust build.

It is, of course, not completely foolproof and I think I’d have more problems if I was less experienced. But their support is very fast to respond and provided detailed advice on any issues we had. Great device! No complaints!.

I upgraded to this from a repeatedly dead Taz 5 that I am tired of fixing (now the Z-axis heatsink fell off, shorted out something, and killed the mainboard). Comparing the cost of Lulzbot versus Creality, it was worth the gamble to see how this worked.

I could buy five of these for the cost of one replacement Taz Workhorse printer. During assembly I checked all of the very important connections (Bowden tube, extruder, hot end) to make sure things were appropriately tight.

The first print came out pretty decently using the auto bed leveling and machine standard slicer settings. The extrusion was a little uneven in some areas, but I didn’t chase that down immediately. I had never used a Bowden tube printer before, so I thought it was an issue of tweaking the retraction.

Then trouble really started. First, the extruder stepper was clicking and losing steps. The Bowden tube was fine (except for damage at the very end where the fitting had tightly clamped it and gouged out some material): after cutting it back a bit the connections were tight and filament went through without resistance.

I used the supplied acupuncture needle to clean out out the extruder nozzle, tried purging a decent amount of filament, but nothing truly worked. During purging everything was great, but during printing it was not.

Five failed prints and more tinkering (combined with knowing my history of the regular maintenance needs of the Taz) before I thought it was malfunctioning at a tolerable level for the time being. It was printing well but not perfectly.

Then, while 3 hours into a 6 hour print, it spit the Bowden tube out at the extruder side. I replaced the tube with a Capricorn tube and again cleaned the nozzle. The extruder was clicking less, but things were still not printing as expected.

Another failed print and I changed out the extruder/ hot end for the Micro Swiss direct drive. Now it is finally printing as expected. If you do not know your way around 3D printers there might be a steep learning curve if your unit is not absolutely perfect from the factory.

Out of the box it gets three stars but with the modifications I would give it four stars. It still has quirks in the firmware (why can’t we change machine settings through the touchscreen, such as increasing/ decreasing extrusion during a print?) and it gives odd errors (such as requiring a power cycle because it thought the hot end didn’t heat up fast enough, even though it was already at temperature when the “error” occurred).

The Creality Ender 5 Plus is one of the best large format printers I’ve used. The print quality straight out of the box is good enough, after light tuning it’s great. A few upgrades make it really shine though, things I think could easily have been included.

An all metal extruder + a higher quality bowden tube. In total these cost less than $20 and at this price point could and should have been included. The BLTouch works well enough, but you definitely need to make sure your bed is level.

Out of the box my bed level screws were tightened 100%, bending the glass and aluminum frame several and causing adhesion issues the BLtouch auto leveling could not solve. One other issue is that if the USB port is plugged into my octoprint setup, the bed fails to heat 90% of the time.

A board upgrade should fix this, but again, a feature like this should work out of the box. All in all, this is a solid printer with a few minor issues preventing it from being great. If you’re considering this vs.

other large format printers that are slightly cheaper or about the same price, I’d say this is the one to get.

I am New to the world Of 3d printers and wanted one good for a beginner, I like the Anycubic Vyper and are having fun learning the different programs associated with creating and slicing, I think the machine is very good, I have had some minor issues, But the Anycubic Vyper team have been there and responded within the day to my questions by email, I have been making personalised gifts for xmas , but bought machine to make custom light surrounds for my classic scooter, I really like it and it has a lot of features on more expensive machines, so all good,.
