20 Best 3Rd Party Joy Cons (2022 Updated)

These joysticks start getting drift and becoming non responsive way faster than any other controllers I’ve had from different consoles. Playing crash bandicoot is difficult because I don’t feel they are as sensitive as PS4 controllers.

For the price point, it seems like we are getting ripped off here. The only good thing is that you can send them in for repair which Nintendo does very quickly in my opinion. I like that they offer some fun colors in these and that they are very easy to use.

I do wish they made bigger ones. I’m pretty small (5’2) and sometimes my hands cramp up I’ve I’m playing animal crossing for too many hours. Overall, I’ve owned a switch for almost 5 years and I’ve gone through 3 pairs and had them repaired through Nintendo.

This is my fourth pair so we’ll see how long it lasts before needing repair. Each pair I’ve purchased previously has ended up with drift issues. You’ll need these controllers because you can’t play your switch without them but they’re not great and I wish Nintendo would release something way better but oh well.

We’ve had our Switch for 2 years now and the original set of controllers lasted until now. Luckily I had a Target circle offer and purchased a new set for 30% off. Nintendo offers a free joycon repair program and costs you absolutely nothing.

So they will be fixing our other set which is fantastic. Any other gaming console you have to keep buying new controllers when they fail and they offer no repair programs. For how much our controllers get used and they are shaken around a lot from active games, I’m surprised they lasted 2 years.

I love that they’re slim and lightweight so your hand doesn’t hurt from holding them. Besides buttons slowly stopping to work after 2 years of everyday use, I’m very satisfied with them!.

Honestly, I expect more from Nintendo. Bought these to replace the original controllers that stopped working. The joysticks drift after a while, on one set the drift starting happing just a few months after buying them.

I do like that they are very modular inside so replacing joysticks isn’t too bad. I just think they should last longer especially for the price. I have had to swap out joysticks for all the original controllers we have and for friends as well.

We ended up having to replace the whole set because the original ones that came with the switch stopped turning on after a little over a year. But I would still recommend these over buying cheaper third party ones.

They have ore features and better quality components.

For what it does, it seems fine – the joy cons slide in and the grip is comfortable. However it differs from the stock grip in a few key ways: 1) The bottom is slightly rubberized, this improves grip, but time will tell about longevity 2) My joycons were a little tight going in and out of the grip 3) The slots for the joycons are all plastic as opposed to the stock grip having metal rails.

This is probably the reason for 2) above. So overall dock a star for all of the above. However it’s cheaper than the official grip, so yeah. You get what you pay for.

I am not a hardcore Nintendo brand loyalist like some, so I did not really want to pay $30 for a joycon grip. I snagged this for $10 and I am completely happy with it. The ONLY 2 differences between this and a Nintendo branded one is there is no Nintendo Switch logo on the face of this one, and the grips on the hands are a little more texture then the Nintendo one.

Everything else is the same, and it functions just fine for the joycons. I’ll happily save $20 on this one over an ‘official’ one.

I was looking for a JoyCon comfort grip for my extra Joy-Con controllers. I was excited to find this product, and the fact that it’s very reasonable priced was amazing. My excitement soon faded when I found out that this isn’t a 1st party Nintendo product but a 3rd party item from PowerA.

PowerA is an amazing company and I’ve purchased products from them. Being a collector, it’s disappointing that a Nintendo original comfort grip was not available for purchase, only through their website.

If you don’t mind the 3rd party label, then this is definitely for you. I’ll be returning this comfort grip and purchasing the original from Nintendo.

Despite the gorgeous artwork and colours, this controller will not last long. I have had 3 of this same model: 1 of which was a blue/silver motif, same series, one of which was a warranty claim from Power A, the company in question.

In all 3 instances, the left analog stick would begin to ‘drift’ downwards, or flicker erratically. Makes gameplay or even menu navigation unreliable. This defect was present within 2 months of use, and in the case of the warranty replacement, started to appear within 2 weeks.

The defect is consistent and not been corrected even in later runs of the same model. Further, the controllers are not 100% compatible with the Nintendo Switch. Even when browsing settings and attempting to re-calibrate, the Switch will NOT recognize the controllers as valid and will not allow you to calibrate the analog sticks or any other settings.

Your only chance of a refund (unless you obtain it from a retail store and return it) is if you had bought it directly from the Power A website, and only within 60 days of that purchase. Do not buy this.

Not sure if I purchased 2 faulty controllers, but more than likely just not great build quality when it comes to joysticks. All I play is Mario Kart, so after a month my first ones left joystick felt like it was broken inside.

Would randomly get stuck in the down position causing drift. Returned it with protection plan to get a replacement. Used second one a little less to see if I could prolong the life of it. Well second one had the same issue after 2 months.

Build quality just doesn’t hold up like I need it to. I also have the PowerA nano controller just like this one and the build quality is soooo much better in it. Had it for 9 months now and still no drift or stick issues.

If PowerA would improve the quality of parts used, I think this would be a great long lasting controller. Will be returning the second one in hopes i can exchange for another Nano version.

The Good: Premium compact build for smaller hands and great for travel. I bought it for that purpose because I wanted a “travel controller” without losing the handlebars/grips. PowerA is a reliable 3rd-party vendor for licensed game console accessories.

The Bad: Yes, it’s primarily a Switch controller, but technically it should also support PC and Android. I don’t have a Switch so my laptop and phone were what I bought it for. It can’t maintain the bluetooth connection in Win10 even after it’s paired.

You need re-pair every time you turn off the controller. There’s massive lag on Android 11 so it’s unusable. These problems may have more to do with OS support for these other platforms but perhaps as a Switch controller, it would’ve been nice.

Straightforward item that only Switch owners should find relevant to have. This replaced a joycon with a broken analog stick after three years of weekly use. These controllers have multiple functions, and one of them is allowing the portable use of a Switch.

This versatile functionality is what gives them an edge over third-party products. The gyroscope or physical compatibility with certain games (Switch Sports and Just Dance) just cannot be matched. If those do not apply to you, I would recommend buying a cheaper and more standard shaped controller to avoid paying a premium for unnecessary additional features.

This device works perfectly. I would give it 5 stars if not for the fact I had to buy this because of the drift in the grey versions that came with our system and the kids needed something to use while those get repaired.

It will be nice to have four joy-cons to use once the grey come back to us. As far as the general design, it’s great for smaller hands, and I can make it work just fine. I generally use the controller dock if playing a one-player game.

Great color, but I think Nintendo should have reduced their price on these given all of the drifting problems that they haven’t remedied.

Purchased this Right Hand Neon Red Joy-Con for my daughter to play Just Dance 2021 (can’t let a 5 year old use mines, come on lol) and she loves it. The strap is helpful knowing the controller will not go flying if dropped by mistake.

Which she hasn’t. She really enjoys it and that’s what matters most. Controller packaging is in a very small compact box. Though Nintendo has lowered the price by $10. 00 for individual controllers, I can’t help but to fell $40.

00 is still overpriced. Should be more like $25. 00 each.

The Zelda series is my favorite game series of all time. I make a point of going through and replaying all the games in the series every couple of years, and replay my favorites separately in between as well (I can’t even remember how many times I’ve replayed Wind Waker).

I know that Skyward Sword is not one that is loved by everyone, and while it isn’t my favorite Zelda game I do like it quite a bit. That said playing it on the Wii on a modern HD TV was a big shame. While games like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess could still look pretty good on an LCD HDTV there was something about the way the made Skyward Sword that always made it look terrible on anything except an old CRT.

So after Wind Waker and Twilight Princess got their WiiU remakes I was dying for them to do Skyward Sword as well, because not only could a WiiU version look great, it could also have used the same motion control setup using the Wiimote.

Sadly that didn’t happen, but thankfully they now made this Switch version. And it’s good. It looks beautiful in both handheld and docked mode, but I would have to say that it is only really playable in docked mode using the Joycons for Wii style motion controls.

They put in a good effort to create a new non-motion based control mode, but no matter how much I tried to use it I just could never get the hang of it. It’s way weirder and much harder to use than the motion controls ever were, so you still just need to use motion controls for this game, and that is that.

Thankfully the Switch Joycons make a fair substitute for the original Wiimote controls. Not perfect, but still very usable. The benefit of the original Wiimote controls were that they felt very accurate and after a while the motions became intuitive and easy to do.

The new Joycon controls are close, but unfortunately they never quite feel as tight and accurate as the old Wii controls, so it is noticeably more difficult to pull off precise hits from different angles, especially slicing diagonally.

Thankfully this kind of precision is only a necessity in some parts of the game, mostly boss battles and a very few other enemies, so in general you can get by fine and still perform some fun combat moves without having to worry about being overly precise.

But it is still a shame that you don’t feel as in control of the sword as you did in the Wii version, and a few boss battles can be fairly frustrating, especially the Ghirahim battles that require a lot of precision swinging to block the lines of objects he throws at you.

The only other control issue worth mentioning is that the joycons very often lose registration, for lack of a better term. What I mean is that say you are sitting on your couch or chair holding the joycon/sword in a neutral position at links side, and then you swing the joycon around as you are fighting some enemies, well returning it to the same position you were holding it before isn’t always totally accurate, and so you often wind up ending a fight with Link running around holding the sword down towards the ground, way up in the air, or off to one side quite a lot when you are actually just holding the joycon back in your natural position again.

There is a simple button push to reset this and make link automatically move the sword back to his standard position so it’s an easy thing to fix, but you will be doing this A LOT, and so it is just another thing that makes it feel like you have far less control over the sword in this new version than you did in the original Wii version of the game.

All of that being said the vastly improved graphics make this a very pleasurable way to play the game. The oil painting style of the graphics looks beautiful in HD. And at this point this is probably the only way most people will have to play it anyway, so if you enjoy the Zelda series don’t pass this one by.

The control issues on the Switch are fairly minor, and might not even be noticeable to anyone who has never played the Wii version, or not as much as I have over the years. I’ll agree that most of the common criticisms people have for the game are valid to varying degrees, but I don’t think anything outright ruins the game.

When it first came out the biggest disapointment to me was that it felt like they had wasted an opportunity by making the hubworld above the sky so limited. I absolutely loved exploring the seas in Wind Waker, so I think the lack of a traditional overworld in Skyward Sword could have been forgiven if there was simply more to do and discover in the cloud world of Skyward Sword, like there was on the seas of Wind Waker.

But that aside the areas below the clouds and dungeons you play through in Skyward Sword are all well designed and very fun, so there is still a lot of great Zelda gameplay to be had in this game. It’s no Wind Waker, or Breath of the Wild, but it is far from a bad game, and still well worth your time, especially if you are a fan of the series.

I originally reviewed this game when I 1st purchased it and was not so positive about it, but after spending more time with (and beating it) I feel quite differently. I was originally very frustrated with the newly adopted “regular ” controls that nintendo implemented since the original game was motion only, but after working through my frustrations and getting used to them (a good 5 to 10 hours, honestly) I came to appreciate the game for its unique experience.

Controls aside, there is a lot to like about Skyward Sword. You can clearly see how this game influenced BoTW in some ways (weapons and shields break and you can upgrade them), but the gameply is still linear like older entries in the franchise.

The graphics are beautiful, even for a 10 year old game, and flying around Skyhold is a highlight. The story is wonderfully told, albeit a little tedious at times, and the game is filled with wonderful characters throughout.

I found the bosses quite challenging, especially with the controls being the way they are, so if you like a challenge this game is for you. The game is also quite lengthy, so you get your moneys worth.

My only real gripe (outside of the learning curve of the controls) is there really isn’t any way to fast travel outside of buying an additional amiibo, which I think is a little devious of nintendo. Overall I’d highly recommend for zelda fans and gamers alike.

As a long time fan of the Legend of Zelda series, original Skyward Sword on the Wii was first one that didn’t attract me. The motion controls were strange and unresponsive, and visuals seemed a step back from Wind Waker.

Now on Switch, visuals are enhanced to 1080p, and 60 fps. The colors and smooth animations look gorgeous both on tv or handheld. Controls feel much better than they were on Wii, though still not perfect, as they still can lose track in boss fights.

But for the most part they feel 1 to 1 motion, and are very fun when using slingshots or bow and arrow types of items. A big bonus, which was one of reasons I gave this version a chance, is that you can skip motion controls entirely and play the game almost as a traditional Zelda game, but losing camera controls, as the right analog becomes dedicated for moving sword.

Story is as good as most of the games in the series, and soundtrack is beautiful and powerful. Highly recommend this game for any Legend of Zelda fan, specially for those who skipped it on Wii like I did.

It isn’t perfect, but it is fun and gorgeous. It might feel a little restricted when compared to Breath of the Wild, but those who played other games in the series will recognize building blocks for free roaming and traversal that became fully fleshed out in Breath of the Wild.

Do they work out of the box, yes. Will one or both controllers get the famous Joy-Con drift problem when you are you are at most vulnerable state when you are stressed out and just need the soothing sounds of Animal Crossing but you can’t enjoy it because the controller is not acting right, also yes.

I have my original set, and the one that I just purchased with Geek Squad protection. Even though Nintendo offers a free return process for the controllers long past it’s actual warranty period, the first time I got the drift it took them about a month, to send me a replacement.

When they work. they are great. But when I need them to work, my soul screams in pain. It kills me that Nintendo still hasn’t figured out a way to prevent this from happening.

Pros: The games I’ve played so far all have that Nintendo playability. It’s also great that you can play all the old Nintendo console classics. Love the ability to dock or use it as a handheld console.

My daughter loves it and is constantly asking to play. Overall, it feels well built but only time will tell. Cons: It’s a shame it’s only 720p but for most games it’s fine. The controller’s aren’t the easiest to use or get used to.

Additional controllers for games where more than 2 people are playing are an extortionate price. Nearly a 3rd of the price of the entire console. It’s early days yet but I found navigating the user interface a little bit clunky.

That may just be me not quite used to it yet. It’s a very expensive console for what it is but, you can’t really compare it to PlayStation and Xbox as it’s not quite the same type of gaming experience that you’re looking for.

Pros: A very refreshing gaming experience. Very easy to jump in and play. On other consoles you start them up and first have to complete a 100GB+ update, updates on the switch are small so don’t hold you up for long.

The design is very well thought out and the console feels well made in your hands. Particularly how solid the slide on joy cons are which you might expect to be flimsy but they’re a real highlight. The graphics are good enough.

I’ve played Witcher in 4K on Xbox and now I’ve played it on the Switch I can honestly say the experience is no worse for it (at least in hand held mode). Obviously the Witcher is an intense world to render.

Games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokémon Sword/Shield lend themselves well to the Switch because they present beautiful, artful world’s that give a sense of wonder without having to rely on the realism that most other games aim for these days.

Value for money, well, I bought one of these soon after they’d first came out in a bundle deal and felt like it was good value. I sold that console to help furnish a new flat (which I regretted), so when I bought this one I was surprised that the cost is still the same! But, it has held its value because it is good value.

Cons: Slightly annoyed that soon after I bought this they announced the OLED version. This model has improved battery and you can play for a good amount of time in handheld mode (hours). I would just like the charging to be faster.

If you liked the original Blaster Master on NES, you cannot go wrong with this game. It takes everything you loved about the original and has amazing backgrounds, solid platforming, and challenging game play.

I like this game enough I have it on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. Recommend. This revised model of the Switch comes with a number of features that I honestly can’t fully appreciate as someone who didn’t own the previous model. The big thing that drew me in was the extended battery life, even though so far I haven’t played much in handheld mode and not at all in tabletop, but they use the same amount of battery either way I would imagine.

The reason I’m giving this system five stars probably say more about how good it is than anything else. But I pretty much expected as much. I’m sure by now you can go online and find more detailed reviews for the gaming system, but in case you’re wondering here, this one comes with the system, two gray joycons, two attachments to turn each joycon into its own controller, a base to connect both joycons into the formation of a singular controller, the required cables, and the Switch dock.

So you’ll probably want to buy a few things alongside this such as an SD card for reasonable storage space, a pro controller for a more standard controller experience, maybe a dock sleeve to prevent the possibility of scratching the screen from insertion and ejection of the system, an online pass if you plan to play any games with online features.

just basically a lot of things that would be nice if they came with the system itself. This will inflate the price further, but the thing here is that this is going to replace the old models of the Switch and simply make this the main one manufactured now.

So. basically, if you want a cheaper Switch you’ll want to get a Switch Lite and this one will still cost about 300 bucks like the 2. 5+ year-old original variant still costs. That is, unless you want to go used.

I’m only bringing up these points because while this is a great system, I do think you should be aware of what is likely to happen with prices and availability going forward and plan accordingly. Once I realize a Switch was still going to cost the same if I wanted the ability to do on and off TV play I decided I might as well just hop on board with this newer variant.

I’d recommend you do the same as it has had tweaks to make it just a slightly better version all around than the previous model. Otherwise, if price is a concern, wait for the Switch Lite and see how it tickles your fancy.

Also, here’s tip. If you want to turn the system off as opposed to leaving it in sleep mode, simply hold down the power button on the system for a few seconds and then a menu will appear with the option to restart or shut down.

Also note that you cannot play on the TV off of the Switch’s battery power. The dock needs to be plugged in for the dock to function. I hope something in here was helpful.

I’ve owned my Nintendo Switch for three years, the games supplied for the Nintendo Switch never disappoint. The games are fun and interactive while also being able to be played with friends and family, this console and its games have brought much joy to nights in with friends and family.

My friends and I find ourselves playing the Nintendo Switch for hours when we hang out and my family has game nights once a week where we like to enjoy Mario Party, Mario Kart, and other multiplayer games made for this console.

The Nintendo Switch allows me to play old school games that I once enjoyed as a child, which bring nostalgic feelings. This console can last and be added onto by buying joy-cons and attachments for each game, the biggest pro for this console is the fact that it can be played alone or with others.

Enjoying the new and old games on this console with friends and family is always a good time, when the Nintendo Switch is brought up everyone involved is ready to indulge in all the great selections they have for the console.

One downfall for this system is that not all games from the past are yet available for the public to play, Nintendo slowly releases games for this console old and new. The only perk I could think of to fix this minor issue is having all old school games released when the Nintendo Switch was first released, this would allow more games to play that were once played by adults when they were children.

I recommend this console to anyone who enjoys Nintendo games, it can bring a night together easily with friends and family. This console is very kid-friendly and also has a huge adult fan base, all games can be enjoyed by any age group and allow individuals to play the games they enjoy together.

I purchased the Animal Crossing Edition Switch approx. 2 years ago and wanted to do a full review from a hardcore gamers perspective. For starters, I did not purchase my console from Home Deliveries USA but from a local, national gamestore but theres no doubtin my mind that Home Deliveries USAs product would have arrived quickly and as promised.

So, Ive been a gamer since the early 1980s as still remember getting my first atari, I enjoy all types of gaming consoles and have logged thousands of hours over the last 35 years or so. To be honest, I wasnt excited about the switch coming out as Nintendo has not really geared their products towards the hardcore gamer and have instead focused mostly on family style gaming.

Matter of fact, the last Nintendo console I had prior to the switch was the gamecube which most people know was a disappointment compared to other consoles that were out at the time. Like I mentioned , I bought my switch around 2 years ago and bought it as an impulse buy.

Covid was in full swing and I found myself as home more so I figured if I was going tp be at home then I might as well buy the switch even know I already owned the ps4 and xb1. Figured Id complete my collection.

The very first games I purchased were BOTW and Mario Odysey. Those titles are Nintendo specific so I decided I was only going to purchase Nintendo exclusive titles for the switch considering that I an buy the cross platform titles for my other consoles and save some money.

I was surprised at the initial cost of the switch games vs other consoles but soon learned that Nintendo does that intentionally but also that the carts retain their value more than disk based consoles.

I was very surprised at the game selection that the switch offers. As a game collector I was amazed at their hard copy selection which other brands dont typically release. Switch gameplay does seem a little dated and their graphics arent necessarily up to par but theres more to gaming than just graphics.

Controller was decent. returned it for a better controller that was on sale, which was the afterglow wired controller. It was a bit pricier (5 dollars more, i think), but it was worth it for 2 reasons for me: 1.

This PowerA controller has 2 buttons on the back that I often would hit since they are placed on the grips of the controller where my fingers would rest. Hence, any tense or quick moments that occur in my game tends to make me grip the controller tighter, forcing me to press one of the grip buttons.

With the Afterglow controller, I do not have this problem. 2. The placement of the plus, minus, photo and home buttons on the controller are too confusingly close together; granted, I’m coming primarily from a primarily Xbox player, but I constantly get them confused and end up pressing the wrong one if I don’t look down at the controller for the button I want to press.

Again, the Afterglow controller is preferable because the home and photo button are placed much higher away and further away from the plus and minus buttons on this PowerA Controller. Aside from these 2 reasons/comparisons, this controller was functional and worth it if you are on a very tight budget (under 20 bucks).

There were no errors or problems I had with this controller from the 1-2 weeks I was using it (about 20 hours total playtime).

This controller is very functional for several reasons. It is a great backup that never needs a charge when the wireless controllers run out of battery. It also is much more comfortable and ergonomic to hold when playing more immersive games like Mario.

The small switch remotes can be uncomfortable to use for long periods of time and the buttons are too close together, so this controller is a great alternative. I love the changing rainbow backlights, they are super cool.

I also love the grip of the controller, the texture keeps it from slipping out of my hands. I also don’t mind using a wired controller either this one, because the cord is very long so it reaches to my couch with no problems.

Highly recommend this remote (or maybe even 2) for anyone with a Nintendo Switch.

TL:DR – Great controller for PC players and the Switch Pro controller design is real nice. Build quality is cheap so may be a good idea to buy two when around the 15. 99 mark. Great for Devil May Cry 5 too! Can’t speak of long term reliability, but the controller has survived a solid week of Devil May Cry 5 gameplay.

If you don’t know what that is lookup the kind of combos people pull off; it’s a great test of controller durability and input latency since some moves require frame perfect inputs. Build quality is.

okay for the price range. Can’t complain at sub $20 on sale and the screenshot button is a treat on Steam games. Yes, this controller can be used on PC with little to no issues (no issues in my case).

Compared to the Xbox and dual-shock controllers Nintendo really nailed a good balance between comfort and usability. Triggers are quite short, but let you pull of very easy strings of presses. The buttons have very low actuation while most other controllers have a bit more distance before the button presses and the sticks feel nice.

The two programmable back buttons are a treat too, but wish you could do create macros though excellent when in use for hard to reach buttons you need to hold down or for dpad inputs. Be warned, the controller from a feel perspective is very meh, but in use is more than enough.

The super long USB cable is great and if you have any devices that use that port you’re in luck. Cable length alone is probably as much as the controller! Only issues I have with it are how long before the controller breaks down or develops issues.

I have soldering experience so if it does I can just order new parts, but for the average user it may be a good idea to pick up two when they are on sale and call it a day till both break.

I bought this controller about three weeks ago and I’m already having major drift issues with the left stick. I didn’t even use it for the first week I had it because I was still waiting for my Switch to arrive.

So two weeks of (admittedly moderate to heavy) use means that every now and then Link (BOTW) moves forward at a stumbling snail’s pace instead of full speed or tries to walk towards the camera when the stick is in neutral position.

I can fiddle with the stick for a minute to get it back to working for another hour or so before it starts up again. Some might argue that you get what you pay for in this controller, but I went with this controller because even the much more expensive Nintendo Pro controllers have complaints about drift issues.

I figured that if I was unlucky enough to get a problem controller, then at least I wouldn’t have paid $60 or more for it. I still expected this to last at least 3-4 months. There is a two-year manufacture’s warranty apparently, so I may try to work with that, but other’s have complained that it’s a mess of a company to work with.

I will likely give this controller another go (I need to get one before the drift renders my current one unusable) just because it’s a quarter of the price of the pro and I don’t want to throw extra money towards a controller with similar known issues.

My biggest gripe is really a non-issue for most. The design on the controller is skewed/distorted and it bothers me a little. Quality of the controller is good for the price, but I wish it were heavier, even if it’s just added weights, the thing is seriously light.

A downside I did notice is that you can’t use these unless it’s docked, it has a normal full size USB to Micro USB cord, while the Switch itself has a USB C port. You might could find a USB C to Micro USB cord (if they exist) but you’d have to notch the Micro end if it’s got a bigger plug head.

2 buttons you can remap on the fly on the back are also a really nice addition to a controller at this price point, usually those are only found on 2nd or 3rd party offerings at $100 or more. So far I’ve only had about 8-10 hours of use on it and I can report no problems.

I needed a controller to play BOTW. I decided to give this a try as it was the middle ground option in terms of PRICE (about $50. The pro would have been $70 and there was another for $25) I now see why it’s less expensive.

Upon taking it out of the package it just felt really cheap and it’s super light. I could look past that. What I can’t look past is that I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and the drift is absolutely horrible.

I could be not even touching the controller and my character in game will be walking to the left. There’s a lot of parts in the game that needs me to be precise and this controller prohibits that. I should have spent the extra $20 on the pro.

No access to L and R only the ZL and ZR buttons have cut outs. This has an affect on Mario kart. If you want to choose to change auto steer, auto accelerate for example you have to remove the controllers again.

Also our coffee table has faux grain. Even that really shallow indent causes the pads to release as small amounts of air get in. Softer suction cups would possibly benefit here. We resorted to sticking it to a large shiny covered book.

Not ideal.

It’s a great product, but BEWARE. This does not work on all games. I researched this product on here and Amazon and both said that it was suitable with Team Sonic Racing. It came and it does not work with this game as Sonic isn’t compatible with motion control.

It’s very badly advertised, I reached out to the manufacturer and they offered me a refund, but that doesn’t help my 6 year old who spent his Christmas money on it,.

This works well on some surfaces but the suction cups had trouble sticking to others and would detach during game play. Unfortunately there are not very many racing games for the Switch that utilize the motion control feature so your choices are rather limited.

All that said, when used on the right surface and with a compatible game it works great.

Compared to using the joystick or turning the rectangle joycon on its own, the wheel feels a lot more natural. The rear bumper buttons on it feel (and sound) quite loose, but I’ve never had issues with lack of contact between those and the joycon.

These buttons are a lot bigger as well, and less awkard to tap for drifting/shooting compared to the small buttons on the joycons. The wheels are durable as well, having taken a beating from the kids (and adults standing on them when kids have left them lying around).

We’ve bought 2x pairs so that 4 of us can play at a time, and they’re priced really reasonably. Recommended for all Mario Kart players.

We bought the wee one a switch for Christmas and thought these joy-con attachments would add a bit of colour. Unfortunately the blue one will not release from the joy-con and is completely stuck. We can therefore no longer charge the joy-con or use it as intended.

Be warned about buying non original products as I have, even if they are from a well known high street name.

They work great! You line up the joycon a little offcenter, depending on if it’s left or right, but there are markings on the wheel that make it easy. Steering with the little wheel is much more fun than steering with the stick or using tilt steering without a wheel.

As a side bonus, it makes the joycon bigger and easier to hold with adult hands.

Nintendo must be raking in a lot of cash right now because they are selling hardware with a chip that nearing a decade in age. The net code for online games is clearly from the X360era, I jest not with Mario Kart being the sole exception in my experience.

Moreover, you have to spend money to use this infrastructure but the blame lies entirely on Microsoft for standardizing that. The analog stick drift is still an issue with this budget revision of the original.

Despite all that, I decided to purchase this machine. Why? Gameplay-driven games or just games. Nintendo clearly only has this one thing going on for them and that is they make excellent games, for the most part.

If it’s something by their EPD division or Retro Studios, you’ll be in for a treat. However, everything else, especially the third-party games are massively inferior compared to the versions on the competitors’ hardware while having to pay more for those games, something which is commonly referred to as the Nintendo tax by the gaming community.

People have been calling this a neat little machine for indie games. However, now that the Steam Deck is out and the wait times have been cut down significantly, I’d recommend that over this. But what about the difference in price you may ask.

To that I say the games are cheaper on Steam and it really adds up on the Switch and before you know it, you’ll very likely have spent more money with the Switch than on the Deck. If you care about physical releases though then avoid the Deck.

There are definitely some things I really like about the Switch. For one, I can now play games while lying on my bed. I can play games in the short breaks I take. I can swap out the physical games I own without much effort I wish I could hot swap the SD card as well but as of right now, the OS doesn’t support it.

Steam Deck does, however, so it likely is not a technical limitation. As a new owner, you may have to get used to the form factor because the thing is very tiny and.

I’ve owned my Nintendo Switch for three years, the games supplied for the Nintendo Switch never disappoint. The games are fun and interactive while also being able to be played with friends and family, this console and its games have brought much joy to nights in with friends and family.

My friends and I find ourselves playing the Nintendo Switch for hours when we hang out and my family has game nights once a week where we like to enjoy Mario Party, Mario Kart, and other multiplayer games made for this console.

The Nintendo Switch allows me to play old school games that I once enjoyed as a child, which bring nostalgic feelings. This console can last and be added onto by buying joy-cons and attachments for each game, the biggest pro for this console is the fact that it can be played alone or with others.

Enjoying the new and old games on this console with friends and family is always a good time, when the Nintendo Switch is brought up everyone involved is ready to indulge in all the great selections they have for the console.

One downfall for this system is that not all games from the past are yet available for the public to play, Nintendo slowly releases games for this console old and new. The only perk I could think of to fix this minor issue is having all old school games released when the Nintendo Switch was first released, this would allow more games to play that were once played by adults when they were children.

I recommend this console to anyone who enjoys Nintendo games, it can bring a night together easily with friends and family. This console is very kid-friendly and also has a huge adult fan base, all games can be enjoyed by any age group and allow individuals to play the games they enjoy together.

I’ve always had a huge respect for portable game consoles since the PSP and the nintendo switch/lite is no exception. I’ve had mine for roughly about 6-7 months and I haven’t had any issues with it. For those wondering what are the differences between the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite goes as follows; Nintendo Switch Lite is smaller in comparison and more friendly to those wanting to play hand held, Nintendo Switch Lite DOES NOT HAVE REMOVABLE joycons, the battery life is also slightly lower on the Lite than the original Switch, and the Switch Lite also does not come and isn’t compatible with the Nintendo Switch’s Dock.

The only issue that I’ve heard happens is when the controllers/joycons have drift, drift causes your controls to not respond to your movements making it frustrating to play. This is a bigger problem for the Lite since it doesn’t have removable joycons you’d have to send the entire console in for repair, as to the Switch you can detach the joycons and send those instead.

However, I’d highly recommend purchasing a Pro Controller if you see yourself playing games such as Smash Bros that require fast pace movements to your controller. All in all the Nintendo Switch Lite is a great and amazing gaming console it’s small, easy to store, and a lot of fun to use! I would highly recommend it I have the new blurple lol and I find myself using almost every day!.

Bought these controllers in November for my son as a Christmas gift. Right out of the box my son put them on his switch and the left controller was drifting uncontrollably. Hard to believe these were actually new.

Very big disappointment for a child on Christmas.

Cool colors that my son loves. Now all 3 of us can play Mario party! Saved money compared to buying them new at the store. Everything was brand new and works great.

Bought this color cause it was different from most switch owners I know so I wouldn’tmix up my joycon and theirs. Really like the yellow and blue, and it was easy to link. A really good choice!
