12 Best 4 Cycle Leaf Blower (2022 Updated)

I was excited to receive my new Leaf-Jet blower w/Pro batteries. Received the package fairly quick, immediately charged up the batteries, until they were fully charged, waited until the batteries were cool and then started working in my yard.

Initially, I was impressed with the weight distribution, but then I started blowing leaves. Immediately noticed there was not near as much leaf blowing power as advertised. Tried all the settings. I don’t think that setting 1 would even mess up your hair, setting 2 was a little faster, as you’d expect, and setting 3 blew some leaves around.

Tried the turbo for 5 seconds and that did increase the leaf blowing ability, but I didn’t continue using the turbo function, because I wanted a good idea of how long the batteries would last. I had okay (not decent) power for 8 minutes and the batteries were completely drained in less than 10 minutes.

Figured this was because it was the batteries initial charging, so I re-charged the batteries and tried again the next day. Did not use the turbo function at all, but again the batteries were completely drained in less than 10 minutes.

The leaves were mostly dry, but the Leaf-Jet underperformed terribly. I contacted Worx and the representative said that the Leaf-Jets typically only last about 7-8 minutes. Are you kidding me? No where in all of the Worx literature do they say this.

I wasted NO time in returning the Leaf-Jet. This is a prime example of overpromising and way under delivering.

I bought this several weeks ago and was very apprehensive about it. Most Battery Operated Leaf blowers are weak and useless. I have a huge amount of leafs and battery operated blowers do not do the trick; Until Today.

I purchased a Nitro and could not be happier. It took care of my whole backyard easily. I’m on a little over 1/2 acre with woods behind my fenced in yard. Many Trees on and around my property so it is a tall task.

Nito handled it with ease. The different settings and Power Blast is perfect for my needs. I was able to blow everything out my back gate. I was doing a happy dance when I was done. It saved me from buying a gas operated blower.

I got tired of dragging around an electrical cord just to clear my yard of leaves. I wish I could have done it with 1 set of batteries but I’m lucky enough to have many PowerShare Tools so I only need to change batteries once.

It ran for 45 minutes before I needed to change out the batteries. That is tremendous considering others I have tried. Thank You WORX. By the way, I have given not so positive reviews for other products so you know I must be happy with this.

I began buying WORX power equipment within the past year. I started with a battery operated lawn edger, then I purchased a battery operated WORX hedge trimmers, I have been sold on WORX ever since. I was a little skeptical regards anyone making a battery powered blower that was powerful, but I was wrong.

This power blower has force and power to spare. Besides being light weigh and easy to handle, it is definitely the best battery powered blower on the market. The burst of power feature is convenient when you come across the area being cleaned that just needs a little more power than what you have the output power set for.

I would recommend this blower to anyone looking for a powerful blower that is easy to control and handle. Even my wife loves using it since it is so simple to operate and control. I will continue to purchase WORX power equipment for all my specialty needs.

I bought this tool a few months ago; just before Christmas. I love it. Use it mostly for cleanup of work area and tools after doing some wood cutting. Cut some boards with your circular saw, table saw, miter saw and tool and floor of garage are covered in sawdust.

This blower is perfect to quickly clean all that off before putting tools away. Hate putting them away all covered in sawdust.

Wow. I have never had such a high quality blower. It is perfect. It puts the previous one’s I have owned (terrible) to shame. This leaf blower is the perfect weight. It has different settings so it can be used to blow heavy debris and wow what power.

or the lowest setting is perfect for blowing leaves off the mulch without actually blowing the mulch away. The batteries last a long time. I used it for about 30 minutes one day, and use it the following weekend without recharging.

I was initially hesitant to purchase due to the price, however, I am happy with my decision. It is worth every penny. No more cheap leaf blowers that last 1 year or are worthless. Thank you for a great product!.

Compact & Cordless? SOLD! Oh yeah, it’s “that time of year. ” Time to do my annual yard work shopping. The blower I’m currently using has duck tape holding it together, lol, so I thought I’d pop in and see what’s cookin’ in the outdoor, cordless arena.

I’m an avid CRAFTSMAN member and buyer for eons, and this particular blower especially caught my eye this evening for the two two main features I mentioned above. But also simply because it’s nice and lightweight — which is great for that “initial BIG job” we have to tackle at the beginning of Spring.

Price is right to boot. Count me in.

Japanese & generally other tools made in USA have been good qualityit did not take me long to realise this is made in China. now I have no problem generally big names producing in China as long as they are watched over & controlled.

One thing a manufacturer should pay attention to IMHO is those items that the buyer/owner is going to interface with. very little you may say on an assembled item but those few bits I had to deal with were quite poor & it is this that gives me concern on the rest of the product quality.

so it was just the tools & those jubilee pipe clips & the tubing. So who cares about decent tools probably only used once but my my they look cheap & the jubilee clips were just rubbish. what extra would it cost to have put good quality jubilee clips in that did not grind & were so badly made took a lot of effort to screw down.

These are the parts we as buyers see & touch & the quality of them can give rise to doubt or reassurance. well I got no reassurance so scrambled through my classic car parts & found some quality stainless steel ones from my Rolls Royce induction piping.

The tubing I felt was very thin on the wall thickness but appreciate will have a weight advantage. The flexipipe was very stiff so I expect that wont be to long before splits occur. Would have liked the additional articulated joint that allows the pipe to be swept completely to one side & this too helps relieve the need for too much flexing on the flexi pipe.

This now I think is a manufacturers fault on the 7660 so check top articulation of elbow as it should freely rotate about 110 degrees. OK being a classic car owner not used often I figured I would take the spark plug out spray a tad of oil into the cylinder & turn it over gently a couple of times with the pull cord.

wow I wonder if Makita bothered to work with a service engineer on their designs. the handle sits directly over the spark plug which is buried deep down in the hole. OK maybe in a service the back plate would come off & I am sure access easier but sometimes perhaps being used to some of the two stroke equipment I would flood the cylinder & have to dry the pluganyway the cheap plug spanner supplied loosened the plug but would not grip it to lift out as some plug spanners often have a rubber piece insert to remove buried plugsoh dear lift out the plug spanner the spark plug falls down & gets trapped as it is so small it falls down between the cylinder head & covers.

had to then get some long nosed pliers & gently persuade the spark plug out. anyway couple of quick spray squirts of oil into the cylinder & a gentle pull on the cord gives me some satisfaction of initial lubricant.

So now assembled time to fit/adjust the strapsI liked the preformed stiffness of the upper padding & wonder how long that will last but generally the nylon strapping I felt looked a bit thin. I am sure plenty strong enough for design just looks a bit thin.

so all adjusted up the hip belt when I tightened it up helped position the blower nicely. now I am reasonably broad shouldered & been an ex national swimmer so not that slopy on the shoulders but the left side harness just kept slipping down as I moved so will need to look at fitting a link belt across the chest but generally the blower felt secure So now time to fill up and fuel upfirst the oil.

just the right amount supplied in the bottle but hey where has my little dongle gone that saves me dropping the oil cap. there appears a slot for it to slide into on the underside of the cap but nothing there.

oh dear has it come off & got lost down in the oil tanktime to get the endoscope out as nothing obvious in the tank. OK either it has got lodged deep down or missingso a quick look at a parts manual shows the dongle on the petrol cap but not one on the oil cap so wow someone got a bonus as a cost saver.

All fuelled up time to start. quick prime on the bulb. I do prefer these with primer bulbs as my Stihl chainsaw does not have a primer and it takes about 10 pulls before it starts. choke on gentle pull & starts on the 3rd pull.

oh what a relief. let tick over for a few minutes so did not bother with the sign running in please pass. ear phones on could only hear a pleasant noise with no annoying vibrations. So played with the leaves for a whileslightly miss the Stihl banana shaped tip as it gave some addition directional control instead of having to sweep & step round but other than that performed as well as my deceased Stihl br500 but tiresome on elbow due to the faulty top joint not rotating & stiff flexipipe Now I did not really buy this Makita by choice just that no one has a br600 as all stuck waiting in the ports so figured this one will suffice till new Stihl stocks arrivehowever what I did find pleasing after using this machine for an hour was I did not smell like an old oil burning engine as no oil mix needed in petrol.

Seller showed no interest in fault.

I’ve run Dolmar chainsaws and weed eaters for years because they are one of, if not, the best on the market and recently went looking for a Dolmar backpack blower but couldn’t find one. Then I learned that Makita had merged with Dolmar so they would have a line of gas powered equipment to compliment their battery and corded lines.

Dolmar was rebranded with the more recognizable Makita name but it’s still Dolmar, just in teal. I was delighted to see that it even has the same MM4 series engine as my weed eater and it definitely has the performance that I was expecting.

It’s quiet for it’s size, comfortable to wear, and packs that Dolmar power that I have come to expect. At idle, it moves leaves and dust so efficiently, you have to continuously watch where the nozzel is pointing, and larger piles jump with just a burp of the throttle.

Squeeze the throttle and things really start moving, including a 10″ terracotta potted plant, and I was several feet away! The saying “it’s the quiet ones you have to watch out for” is very apt.

The 2-stroke blowers are too noisy and thirsty for my liking. Borrowed one of these MM4’s and immediately went and bought one, from Toolstop. It’s light and comfortable to use, very easy to set-up and operate, plenty of power to blow sheep crap, dead grass and thatch off a field.

Economical and fairly quiet, can be used without ear defenders for a while. Very happy with this buy.

Pros: Fair performance, will do the job of vacuum and blower Cons: 1. I was able to start the vacuum with 5 pulls. I read other reviews which stated it was a very hard starting tool, so I bought the hand held starter since I am 75 and I do not have energy to waste pulling a starter.

I needed a yard vacuum, not a blower. To my dismay, you can ONLY USE THE ELECTRIC STARTER IN THE BLOWER CONFIGURATION. To start it for a vacuum, you must disassemble the vacuum tube, start it, re-attach the vacuum nozzle while it is running.

USELESS and VERY POOR DESIGN. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS IN ANY OF THEIR PROMOTIONS OR OPERATOR MANUALS. 2. AWKWARD TO USE. 3. Mulcher is a muncher. Not really functional and NOT METAL, it is PLASTIC.

NOT RECOMMENDED.

Starts easily using my cordless JumpStarter (Craftsmen version). This powerful leaf blower works great. I have my old leaf blower setup as a full time vacuum, which save a lot of time. I always use non ethanol gas with stabilizer added and all my equipment runs good.

How can you beat the electric start!! Just as advertised if not better. Powerful and smooth running. The cruise control works fine.

This review is only for the Toro F700 leaf blower, Toro part no. 51624. Received this on December 7, 2021 and used it the same day on damp, fairly small (1. 5 inch wide) leaves. Power is amazing at wide open speed, but so is the noise.

I have earmuff-type workshop hearing protectors and I recommend using something at least that good to prevent hearing damage. The blower is heavy enough that when you use it one handed, you have to resist the recoil with the arm that holds it and that arm gets tired.

After about two hours, my right hand was numb from strain, and next time I’ll try to attach a luggage or laptop bag shoulder strap for support. (see below) There is no trigger, only a start-stop switch.

Air speed is nicely variable, not limited to one or two speeds, and only adjustable by a rotating control. I like that method rather than having to hold a trigger down for long periods when the holding hand is already busy.

And I’m also glad I chose a corded blower over a battery one. Maneuvering a 100 foot cord around isn’t a problem, like 20 or 30 minute battery life would be. Toro offers a “universal” gutter cleaning kit that includes an adaptor to the 51624 blower (this one), and the kit’s Toro part number is 51668.

That kit also apparently offers a shoulder strap that looks like it fits this blower. I recommend this blower.

I purchased this to replace a WeedEater electric blower that died. Read some reviews that compared it to ‘hurricane force’ winds and thought I would give it a try. I also have a Black & Decker and a SunJoe.

Wish I would have known about this Toro blower before I bought them. WOW! This one is incredibly powerful! I use it for blowing leaves, cleaning sand (lots of sand) off my garage floor, and blowing my barn floor clean (hay, mud, leaves, dirt).

It takes less than half the time it took with the other units. I “almost” bought a Stihl BE61 instead of this Toro because of the STIHL reputation, but I am glad I went with the Toro -it is definitely more powerful than the Stihl! You can’t go wrong for the price of this blower.

It is a little heavier than the other blowers I have used, but not so heavy that you can’t handle it. Thanks TORO, this is one amazing product.

This IS a powerful leaf blower! You will get min 2 years out of the product after warranty is up *GOOD LUCK*! Toro support is non existent. Any phone number listed for Toro brings you to an automated voice prompts so speaking to a live person is challenging.

Corporate office did answer and a supervisor DID call back a day later just to say sorry for you luck. The only service parts are the on/off knob and the tube. Read the reviews not hard to find other reviews where the fan blade explodes.

Maybe a suggestion for Toro “trade up program”? suggested, they DO NOT OFFER any such program. Do not buy Toro!.

This review is fir the 525BX blower. Here is a list of the Husqvarna equipment I own with the rating. 359 saw purchased in 2002. 2 stars Many old chainsaws that were the best. Now to this 525BX blower. This so called pro level blower has been the biggest peice of crap I have ever owened from Husqy. Next to the two throw away 550XP saws this thing makes me wish I had never bought it.

Purchased it with their 3 cans of fuel deal and it ran good for a month or so. Now it fires and idles fine but if you even touch the throttle it dies. Never had anything but their brand fuel run in it.

If I let it idle 4 or 5 minutes and then pull the choke on and off instantly it goes int high idle and sometimes I can milk the throttle and get it to full throttle to blow off the porch. Total let down.

After three days of freeze where temperature touched -44C, today I assembled my unit and start removing the snow from my front & backcourts as the temperature came a bit down at -22C. I was confused about whether to buy a backpack unit or a handheld and decided to take the risk with a handheld unit.

It took me 5mins to assemble and start the job. Within 15 mins I cleared mine and two of my neighbor’s courts. The unit is powerful, easy to handle, lightweight, and extremely less noisy. I bought a gallon of 1:50 2 stroke pre-mix fuel as well along the blower, so it extends my warranty up to 05 years, which is a great deal and confidence of the manufacturer on their machine.

I must recommend the unit to buy as a robust, efficient, and ergonomic machine.

I originally had a Stiehl BG86 but the carburetor would gum up after a season making it increasingly hard to start and maintain an idle. I read how the Husqvarna 525BX was taking the industry by storm.

I tried one out and haven’t looked back. The store clerk told me this model is the most popular and they are always ordering extra stock. Jump ahead two years and the blower still starts on the first pull! Incredible! The vibration-proof handle ensures hours of comfort.

I run this blower 15 hours a week and after two years, it’s going strong.

I purchased this blower when I purchased my home. I just wanted an electric blower for when I needed, which is not often because I sweep my small driveway. Being a Sears/Craftsman diehard, (I had gone to Sears since I was a child with my parents and large family for everything from shoes, clothes, appliances, tools, lawn equipment, etc etc.

So when I went out on my own I continued the tradition but sadly no more. ) I had purchased the only Craftsman Electric Corded blower they offered. The lever on the door for the fan has no “click in place” feature.

It simply pushes in place. The problem is the extension cord opens the lever, very easy for this type of equipment in my opinion, without your knowing which leads to the fan door opening. (Yes, it is supposed to open for the mulching and vac usage but should not open so easily.

) If your blower doesn’t malfunction there is a safety feature that should shut off the blower. If, on the contrary, your blower happens to malfunction, which who knows when things will malfunction, as mine did not good at all.

The extension cord opened the lever and the fan door without my knowing and sucked three of my five fingers on my left hand in the fan of my blower. The blower malfunctioned and did not shut off as it should have.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BLOWER TO ANYONE!! My main reason for posting this is to save someone else from an accident like this. The other reason is for the dishonesty from Sears in handling my situation.

Their pockets are more important then their customer’s safety. Unfortunately for them they have lost one very loyal customer.

I had my previous Craftsman Blower/Vac, mod# 151. 30276, for 3 years. It ended up being hard to push the start/stop switch off and on. The release button was also hard to press when I tried changing the blower attachment and vacuum tube.

The plastic zipper on the bag stopped staying close and would open while in use which caused me extra work. Yesterday while vacuuming fallen leaves, the plastic zipper failed and forced me to stop while only half way done in my back yard.

I went to the local Ace Hardware, hoping to find a new replacment bag, but none were in stock. I did find the model, CMEBL700, and decided to get a whole new one. At $59. 99, I thought the price was ok.

When I got home and used it I was very pleased and it really made my day to finish my yard cleaning with ease. It had newer features, and was so much easier to change from blower to vac, and had a turnable knob for starting and stopping.

Also the bag had a metal zipper. One thing I really liked was having a handle for my left hand to hold which made holding less tiresome for my arms. I was able to finish my yard, which looked cleaner then previous uses with alot less effort.

At 67 years old, using this blower/vac will once agin be enjoyable to use over dreading to get it out. Thanks Craftsman for the new design. You have a winner here.

I bought this product a few years ago. Works well, but the zipper on the vacuum bag broke and I can’t find a replacement. When I enter the part number online, it comes up with a bag with a different way of attaching to blower.

Very frustrating. Also, would be nice to have the vacuum tube adjustable for people who are a little bit shorter.

Okay, We have the Snapper 82V mower, string trimmer, and now the blower, and we went into the blower purchase with high expectations. The mower and the trimmer are two things we would use regularly, but the blower was lower on our list of priorities.

But, since we already own the mower/trimmer/charger + 2 2ah batteries, the blower was just a “$100 decsion” and we went with it. The blower, just like our mower and trimmer, exceeds expectations. I thought it would get little use, but, without trying, the blower is being used much more than expected.

My first priority – probably kind of odd – was to use it to blow out our clothes dryer vent once or twice a year. And it worked great. Secondarily, I thought, I would get some limited frequency use in blowing off the front patio and walkway, the larger rear patio, and the pool cool decking.

I used to sweep, then hose these down. It was a chore. Now, I use the blower and it works fine. One surprise was that the blower is so easy to use that I tend to grab it far more often than I would have guessed just because it turned what was a “chore”, into a quick touch up job.

Same happened with the mower and trimmer; so easy to pop in the battery and touch up the yard. This is the future and it is here right now.

This leaf blower is much more powerful than I expected! I not only used it for blowing away leaves and twigs Ive also used it to dry off my SUV. It works great for clearing out dust and debris from my garage and storage shed.

If you use the Snapper XD 82v mower and trimmer like I do you want this as part of your arsenal.

I have had an electric cord leaf blower for years. Of course 2-cycle engine portables too, just not a leaf blower. Getting yard work done takes time, and some of it is just getting things out and then putting them away.

When its a corded leaf blower, sometimes the cord stops you from doing the best job. This one is quiet, simple and quick to use. The batteries are part of a shared power system for several pieces of equipment, which helps a lot in the scope of cost to go all electric.

Even to blow dirt or loose material off the patio, its so fast and easy I wonder why I did not do battery powered equipment before! This is easy to use and for the yard size I have the battery time is more than enough.

Its balanced well and has a huge volume of air when you need it. A great product!.

For personal home-owner yard cleanup use, I have owned blowers most of my life – several black ones and one orange one – all corded. I rarely blow the yard enough that anyone would know I have one because dragging the amount of cord out to do this large yard is not only time consuming but heavy.

I also hate gas weed eater motor driven devices due to the bad gas we have here the failures due to small amounts of gas sitting. It always is a problem. I noticed race teams using battery operated blowers on the F1 cars and in the NASCAR pit stalls while working fire safety team and finally decided on the M18 FUEL Blower.

I will just say this – I wish I had this my whole life. No cords, I use it to blow the whole yard – I now blow out the shop whenever I want to – I even blow off work spaces, as easy as grabbing the bench brush.

I final blew down the area when painting my car and when I overheated the compressor mid project I grabbed the blower like an F1 team and cooled off that motor and compressor – reset it and finished the job.

My biggest fear is that a battery tool won’t complete a job and that I have to have many batteries or keep charging during the job but like my other tools I have not yet used more than one bar of one battery.

I use an 8. 0 or 6. 0 on this. Thank you Milwaukee – I love this tool – If you are on the fence, I say buy it – you won’t regret it. In full disclosure, the only thing I haven’t found for it or made yet is a fan tip for it.

I needed a Milwaukee chainsaw, the store only had one that was in a kit with this blower and so I not only got a Milwaukee chainsaw, but a hand held blower, a charger and a 12. 0 battery. Since purchasing this combo pack, I have read all of the reviews on this site regarding this blower.

With regard to its power. No, it does not have the power of my Stihl BR800 backpack blower, but I would not expect it to. As far as a hand held blower goes, this thing is really nice and has enough power to do anything that I would expect a hand held blower to do; it blows sticks and leaves off of the sidewalk with ease on high.

The added bonus for me is that I don’t have to fire up the backpack blower anymore to do smaller jobs. Fired up the blower with a topped off xc 6. 0 battery, blew out the garage and the cement pad outside of the garage, then let it site on high until the battery ran out.

It went for 9. 5 minutes according to the timer on my phone. If this isn’t acceptable to you, get an xc8. 0 or 12. 0 battery and get two of them. While what others have been saying about run time seems to be true, I a couple 6.

0’s, 4. 0’s, 3. 0’s you get my point. If the battery dies while I’m using it, I will put another battery in the blower and put the spent one on the charger. Expectations for run time have to be based in reality and this blower has a lot of punch for a hand held unit.

In order to accomplish this, I am assuming that it uses a lot of power. If you want a blower to blow all of the leaves in your yard, get a back pack blower or another type of gas blower that you can fill up when needed and keep going.

The power that this blower has is excellent for a hand held unit. Bottom line, it is a great blower.

I’m on the fence between a 4 and 5 star rating. Most importantly, this is probably one of the best handheld blowers of any gas/corded/battery ones I’ve ever used. It’s light, well-balanced, and the two speeds are exactly what you want for each speed’s intended use.

On “turtle,” it clears leaves and debris from stone and mulch without requiring re-raking; on “rabbit,” it’s hard to believe that something this small, this light, and without a tapered outlet moves as much of a mess as it does.

Impressive! The downside is that it eats batteries. I’m a Milwaukee fan, so I have a couple other tools that use the M18 battery packs, and they do charge quickly, but for someone like me who lives in the woods.

I go through a couple batteries for doing what a half tank in the old Husqvarna two-cycle I have does. I get it, it’s a trade: higher CFM with electric vs. gas, immediate and ease of use, no mixing fuel, no jeans leg destruction from oily exhaust, and I can actually go to dinner without reeking of “industriousness.

” But, I deplete two batteries doing what I have to do, and I mix the speeds between high and low. not just full tilt boogie at all times. Ha, maybe I just want it all. But I will say, I’m not in the least disappointed in the performance and how my wife will actually take a stab at using this blower (the gas Husky was Kryptonite to her, I tell ya), and I would buy another one if this one fails or gets broken.

Just have a couple batteries on hand if you’re a heavy user.

A well balanced 4 Stroke petrol blower. Old Stihl blower finally gave up but this is just as good and of course the big bonus is no 2 stroke mixing or smoke. Quiet with good throttle control this is an excellent addition to my tool shed, already making light work of clearing my 1/3 acre garden surrounded by oak and beech.

My husband has a small business seal coating driveways. I occasionally go with him to help out. He does all the trimming while I go behind him and use the blower to clean them off afterwards. My biggest complaint has been carrying the heavy blowers around.

He finally broke down and bought a backpack type blower. While shopping around, he decided on the Makita 75. 6 CC 4-Stroke Backpack Blower. This has been such a great help. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t wear you out.

This blower is very lightweight. The performance of the blower is exceptionally great. It’s very powerful and gets the job done the first time. I don’t have to go back over any spots. It cleans away leaves, dirt and any other debris left behind.

This blower has always been easy to start and have never had a problem keeping it running. The Makita 75. 6 CC 4-Stroke Backpack Blower was a great purchase for us and a great addition to his tool collection.

I would most definitely like to recommend it to everyone.

This is just a great little tool! Over the years I have owned several makes of blower, some are perhaps more powerful but are noisy, require two stroke fuel and indeed are much more expensive. (Unless you risk a dodgy make).

I am retired now but worked for several years as a research technician for a major Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, I mention this because I would slot into the “Petrol Head” division and as such I would say the engine in this blower is a Jem.

It is well built using good quality castings, starts so easily – anyone saying different should perhaps read the instructions and is very easy on fuel. I would strongly recommend to all.

This is super-small, and super-light, but plenty powerful. I read other reviews about it and was prepared for difficulties with attaching the nozzles. Frankly the person who designed the attachment mechanism should be sacked forthwith, because they spoil Draper’s good name for decent equipment, yet only slight alterations could have made it a killer product.

The attachments use a sort of bayonet-style connection, but the suction nozzle in particular is a ludicrously tight fit on the main unit, and once attached (if you can actually achieve it!) it is simply impossible to remove again.

I ended up making a rope wrench to gain sufficient grip and leverage to remove the nozzle, and then filed off some of the sharp-edged lump on the main unit that was making it impossible to attach/remove the nozzle.

Now it works just fine. If you have problems, leaving the nozzle fully attached for a few days will stretch the black nozzle plastic a bit and then it’s easier to use. Also, it’s completely stupid to have to use a screwdriver and a screw (with washers too!) to secure the looser blower nozzles – what’s needed is a wingnut type screw, i.

e. a screw with some sort of head that you can do up and undo with your fingers, and something to retain it so you don’t lose it in the grass! Really, these things aren’t hard to do even on the cheapest appliance.

However, after saying all that, it works and it’s very cheap and very light, so if you can live with tweaking it a bit then it’s recommended :o).

I bought this when it was on promotion at a good price. The product is as expected for the lower price point. However, personally i think you have to choose whether you want to use it as a blower or collector? The reason is quite simple, once you have attached the larger pipe to blower, it is impossible to remove.

The design is poor as it should have been designed to screw into place and not click into place, once locked into each other it does not come apart!! The cover for fan is also now locked open and could easily be damaged, this should be removable, but it is not.

As i said, if looking for a cheap blower or collector great, but you will give up trying to undo parts.

Machine starts and works well however it comes with two tubes one small for blowing and one large for sucking. The problem is it is almost impossible to change either tube without help. Not able to change from blow/vac etc.

Rang Draper support and they could not offer any worthwhile advice. The vacuum function is pretty poor, especially when leaves wet – blocks up pretty quickly. The shredding function is rather ineffectual, does not cut up the leaves very well.

Suggest some more research and testing by someone who will use the machine.
