20 Best 4 In 1 Grill (2022 Updated)

You will spend all of your time fixing it! A year and a half ago, I bought a Traeger PRO 575 grill and all I have done is spend my time on the phone with customer service and manually repairing this grill.

If you love spending your weekends fixing grills and talking to customer service, these grills are for you! I have been troubleshooting it for so long that by the time I actually asked for a refund they claimed I was to far out of the refund time even though the grill is still under warranty! That sounds legit right? Well I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and if you are looking at buying a pellet smoker read this review right here.

You will be repairing it, you will be spending your weekends and free time talking to customer service. It will be another chore for you to do. Not to mention the joy of repeating yourself every time you call in.

I maybe had the same conversation 10-12 times. Imagine going through the same 10 troubleshooting steps every time you call in for the same problem. Everytime you call in its going to be your whole morning, going through the same explanation, working on it, taking all the pieces off and putting them back on.

Occasionally they will send you a replacement piece that you have to repair, so get youtube out and follow along with the instructions. Now imagine months of this, always on your to do list, never being able to actually use the $500+ piece of tech you just bought.

Don’t waste your money, don’t waste your time, don’t buy Traeger.

I had a competing brand before finally returning it to buy this smoker. All these pellet grills seem to do the same job, however, the level of temperature control was the convincing feature to just spend the extra cash.

The other smoker I had wouldn’t let you set the temp anywhere between 250 and 300, ruling out certain styles of cooking. The Traeger let’s you set in 5° increments, letting you have full control. Obviously no grill will maintain a perfect temperature throughout the cook, but at least being able to set the temp you want it to maintain is the main draw of pellet smokers.

Setup was pretty easy. They give you literally every tool you need to assemble, and the instructions are easy to follow. You can get buy doing it by yourself, but it’ll go faster with someone helping you.

This smoker is a nice manageable size, unless you plan on cooking for the whole neighborhood. The app works well in my experience, and is quick to report the temps inside the grill. My only complaint is that it is a bit tricky getting all the ash out with my vacuum with how they setup the inside of the grill, but this is really a minor issue.

I can get the vast majority of ash and haven’t had any issues with my cooks. 100% would buy again.

Since I started grilling & smoking a long, long time ago, I have always dreamed of owning a Traeger. The high price tag has always been the deterrent but I finally decided that I just had to have one.

I read the many negative reviews & still chose to purchase the Pro 575 model. Sadly, that was a huge mistake. All of the negative reviews concerning drastic temperature swings, poor quality & wi-fi connectivity issues were all very true.

Many other reviewers have detailed these particular problems as well as many many others. No sense in me going over what so many disappointed buyers of a Traeger product have already elaborated on. The bottom line is that there are serious flaws with these grills/smokers.

Do yourself a big favor. Don’t buy one. The number of negative reviews in relationship to positive reviews is rising drastically as well as daily. I had a Pit Boss Austin XL 1000. I paid under $500. 00 for it.

It was very dependable. It far and away out performed my new Traeger in every category and for a lot less money. I wish that I still had it. Instead I can look forward to many long winded service calls on the phone, ordering parts and waiting forever for them to arrive, crawling around on the ground to install them for free while playing service technician for Traeger.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, staring at my inoperative $900. 00 piece of junk that I can’t even grill or smoke on. Do yourself a huge favor. Buy anything else but a Traeger. You will be glad that you did.

I just bought the Prestige 500 RSIB- stainless steel, and have cooked 3 meals so far with it. Assembly was fairly easy but you need two people from time to time during assembly. Overall, the grill is well built- The inner tub, being a one piece cast aluminum, will not rust out like my previous grills.

The burners are quite robust. The lid is very solidly constructed, and the side sear burner works great. Now on to the things that aren’t so great- The cooking grates, although they look pretty cool with the wave shapes, they never really get hot enough to do a proper job of grilling.

My first grill job was 8 pieces of salmon filet, and it took way too long to cook them. There are areas on the grill that are 80degrees cooler than other areas, so the surface temp is too variable. The burners are very narrow, and they don’t disperse the heat very well.

I noticed after careful examination that the four sear plates that sit atop the burners are actually sloped, so that the rear of the grill gets a bit hotter than the front. The intermediate sear plates ( 3 of them) fill the gaps between the burners, but they sit higher still and never get hot enough.

I took my laser heat thermometer around the entire surface and found wide variations in temp of the cooking grids. They need to redesign the burners so that the flames splay out wider, plus the distance between the burners and the grates is too far, so thats why the grates really never get as hot as they should.

So, if I re-engineered this, the burners should be A; wider to disperse heat better B; be set a bit closer to the grates, C: the spacing of the grate rods themselves should be a bit closer, and add more cross ties underneath the grates so that there is better heat transfer from one grate rod the next.

I cooked some burgers the second time I used it and once again, way too long to cook a burger. I know this grill has the infrared side burner for searing, but if you are cooking burgers for 6-8 people at once, thats not practical.

The grill is actually more like an oven than a grill, but who cooks burgers in an oven? I have double checked and triple checked everything about the setup and gas regulator etc etc. and found nothing wrong.

My suggestion to Napoleon is to come up with a better design of the burners and the sear plates that cover them. Make the new burners fit the existing grill models and make them available to previous owners.

Also don’t use plastic for the door handles. I’m not sure how long the fake chrome plating on the plastic will hold up.

Early Review – This grill has been exceptional. Have used the side searing burner, main burners and rotisserie burner so far and the results have been more than I hoped for. The side searing burner created the perfect steak, great crust.

Using the main burners it grilled onion slices to perfection. The rotisserie with the basket grilled chicken wings quickly and easily. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Youtube videos helped prepare for it but narration on the company videos would have been nice to steer around some of the questionable areas.

The unilingual (graphic only) assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. I appreciate they sell in many countries, but still a page of written details in several languages could have sufficed as an addition to the graphics.

Summary, Napoleon has all the features a dedicated griller needs and the price is reasonable compared to other high quality grills. The incorporated sear infrared side burner, high BTU/cook area mains and infrared rotisserie, plus the charcoal option make it a game changer.

The cast stainless grids on the Phantom are a primary reason to upgrade from the regular Prestige. One slight negative, the igniter on the side and rotisserie burner is not working, but am working this out with Customer Service.

Until replaced, using a long-neck lighter works easily. Main burner ignition is flawless. Product quality rating is 4 stars, but would rise to 5 when igniter issue is resolved.

This is a very nice grill! I have only owned one other gas grill, much smaller and inadequate BTU at my altitude of 7800′ above sea level. Gas grills tend to struggle a bit here however after seeing the overall burner design I thought it might fill the gap in my grilling needs.

I have a pellet grill which has fantastic flavor yet will only get up to about 400 degrees at my location. Not adequate for searing most meats. I have used the Napoleon grill a few times now and I am impressed with its speed of heating and overall function.

The build quality also seems better than many other grills and it should be given the cost of this unit. I also like the accessories that I was able to purchase with the grill like the charcoal/smoker tray although with winter coming on and the hazards of charcoal fires in my area I have not been able to make use of it yet.

My only criticisms so far are the the pictorial assembly instructions are a task to make sense of in detail and are in dire need of some verbiage added for clarity. This grill is definitely a “some assembly required” project in its shipping box and took me about 2 hours.

The other item that could be better expressed in the instructions is the set up for higher elevations such as mine. The burners closest to the regulator burned with black soot and smoke until I adjusted the airflow intake feeding them.

Luckily in my youth I was an apprentice plumber and had experience with these types of adjustments. Again, so far as my limited use, great grill overall, assembly and set up instructions could be improved upon significantly.

I was impressed with the grill when I first saw it. Sturdy and handsome it met all my requirements. It is replacing a 27 year old DCS grill so my expectations are high. I assembled the grill myself with my wife’s assistance.

It took about twice as long as I expected but that is because I am meticulous about doing things right the first time. The instructions were adequate for me because I am an engineer for 30= years, however, it may be confusing for a novice reading plans.

Anyway, the grill went together relatively smoothly but I feel some parts were done too cheaply for my taste. The hinges on the cart are plastic bushings which will wear out quickly. If designed properly a slow close hinge would add significant value with very little increase in cost.

Also the castors are terrible. Unless you have a perfectly smooth surface for the grill to move on (which most of us don’t on our patio, I have paver) the castors don’t roll and make it nearly impossible to move the grill.

Lastly, in a completely intact box (no signs of being damaged), 1 of the 2 brackets that come preinstalled that support the right side handle, was bent beyond use. I called and was sent new brackets (which I appreciated) but how and why was this part bent right out of the box? BTW this part was made from stainless steel so unless the grill was dropped I don’t know how this could have happened.

That side still won’t fold down or up properly, but coming bent out of the box, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. We have not cooked with it yet so I can’t give my opinion on that yet but we will see.

Compared to other grills, I feel the value of what we got was better than other similarly priced grills,.

I bought the Pestige 500 RSIB fully assembled and delivered to my house so I cannot address how hard or easy that was. I completely read the instructions prior to doing anything with the grill. I checked all the connections, checked for leaks and then mdae sure that the grill was functioning as it should.

Everything was great. I did not realize that a gas grill needs to be burned-in, but I followed those instructions and did so. I had purchased the smoker box and I will say that I wish it was a little larger, but it works extremely well.

I have always used another premium brand grill and this grill matched that and even was was better in many ways. I cook on the grill about five times a week year round and so far this purchas was well worth it.

My last grill was rusting out and I decided I only want to by one more grill for the rest of my life and I made the right choice. The smoker box is great for adding more wood smoked flavor to the meal.

I had no flare-ups. Due to the burn-in instructions the grill cleans-up in a flash. I have always preferred cast iron grids, but I am more than pleased with the stainless steel grids in this grill. By far this is my favorite grill I have owned in the past forty-three years.

I wish I would have had it sooner so I could have saved thousands of dollars on my other grills. I recomend this grill to everyone, but be sure to treat it right and follow all the instructions.

I recently scrapped my beloved 7 year old 5 burner Char Broil for this model. I essentially burned the old one out, using it pretty consistently about 4 – 5 times per week. This is an excellent BBQ. Of great importance, it cleans easily.

The stainless grate still marks meat. It seems to be well manufactured. My only problem is that the hottest I can get the grill is 500 degrees. I can get grill lines but I can’t char my Porterhouse. I have told Char Broil that I felt duped because the temperature gauge on the hood goes to 650 degrees so I assumed the 4 burners would take me there, close to the 700 degrees on my old 5 burner, but they won’t.

In response to my question as to why do they put a temperature gauge that goes to 650 if the BBQ will only go to 500, he told me if you put foil on the bottom it could take it higher (I do, but it doesn’t), or grease could flame and make it hotter (it doesn’t) and that it’s better to cook meat on a lower temperature (true, but I like a char on the outside before lowering the heat to cook the inside).

I wish I could easily exchange this for a 5 burner with a searing station but then I’d have to go back to the cast iron grills which are harder to clean, chip and rust. The hassle of making the exchange isn’t worth it.

I’ve adapted to my new grilling constraints and have accepted mediocrity as we are often dished out by corporate America. My Porterhouses are acceptable but no longer are they “extraordinaire”. Having investigated further, I know I need more BTUs, not a misleading temperature gauge.

Yes, I still feel duped.

The first two or three cooks were great. After that, the grill doesn’t have enough heat to warm up a hot dog. I purchased this grill because we are in a rental house during construction of a new house.

I figured it would be a good thing for 16 months but barely got by 2 months. I’ve done everything that I can find to do. The website offers NO HELP or support. You can buy parts and accessories all day long, but to find out why the unit does not heat is a no go.

I have checked for flow valve issues and vapor lock but nothing works. It worked one weekend and not the next. Please don’t ask if the propane tank is low!.

This grill replaced a char-broil infrared grill that I loved but finally wore out. I agree with other reviewers that this grill doesn’t get hot enough over the burners. I think the problem is the gas tube between burners.

This tube runs along the very front of the grill and has open flames all across the grill. I think this area is hotter than the cooking area. Your hand is above this tube and gets hot when you try to turn your food.

Saving money versus another infrared grill was a mistake.

I own two of these grills. One grill is in my home and I use it very often. the other is in a rental property. The four burner grill is fine, and would, by itself, generate a four star rating. However, the side burner (ON BOTH GRILLS) is garbage.

At first, I thought it might be a bad unit, but it is true for both grills I purchased, so it is a design flaw. The fuel mixture is way too rich and the flame soots. You can tell by the bright orange/yellow color of the flame instead of a nice blue/green flame that is on the inside flame.

The side burner completely coats the underside of any frying pan or cast iron skillet with a thick layer of soot and leaves an utter mess to clean up. Sooting flames are also notoriously cold and forget about sauteing onions and mushrooms or searing a steak in it.

Don’t waste your money, just get the same grill without the side burner.

This BBQ is an awesome spit but that is where it ends for me. Just to chuck a couple of steaks or snags on the BBQ for your mid week dinner is such a hassle. The heat up time is at least double what it says.

I’ve had an everdure in the past and the old ones were much better. The element on this BBQ is electric and located in the centre so you are constantly moving coals around to heat the entire thing. The old everdures were gas and had an element the entire length so heating was even, quick and easy.

Unless you’re after a top of the line spit, I would wait for version 2. 0.

I left a review on my first impression, now I have cooked on it and can confirm it does only take 10mins to heat up. I did enjoy it and found it really easy. I like how the rotisserie stores away easily.

Heat was great, so far so good. i think the only thing I need is a plate to put on top so I can cook eggs etc. I also really like the storage compartment to use as a warning tray and keeping oil and BBQ tools.

I ended up buying a bbq cover from Bunnings which I think is necessary to keep it in good condition. Probably a lot cheaper than buying the branded one and fits really well.

it does not heat ‘heat beads’ in one burst. requires 2-3 times, and then need to do it again for another lot unless you are only feeding small number of people. there is no way you are ready to cook in 7 minutes!! i have tried using other charcoal products which are less dense and these fire up sooner but do not last long enough.

otherwise ii like the concept but very frustrating. will keep experimenting with different charcoals if i can find.

I was looking for a small two-burner grill when I stumbled upon this product. The option to use as a grill or griddle fits my outdoor cooking preferences perfectly. So far, I have only used the grill a few times and can only provide a four star rating for now even though I have no complaints worth sharing.

The griddle portion is stout, cooks evenly and cleans up easy; the entire grill cleans up easy. The castor style wheels are an upgrade from the usual plastic wheels of other grills. The single ignitors on each burner have worked flawlessly so far.

To fold the legs, you must un-bolt the cross braces, but it is key-hole style, so wing nuts could be used for fast removal. This product appears to be well made and I think that it will hold up.

It is a nice unit. It was easy to assemble overall. There is a few, small rust spots on the corners of the griddle and the holes are not quite right for the griddle screws to set into. Also the regulator on the gas line doesn’t seem to be quite sealed.

Not having a lid for the grill causes it to take longer to cook on. The grill grids are not non-stick so you need a little elbow grease to clean them. So far I am happy overall. I like the way the burners automatically ignite when you turn the grill on.

The grill came when expected. It was packed well and all the pieces were there. It only took about 15 minutes to put it together. We used it for the first time last night and it worked great. The grill and flat top are all pre-conditioned so there is no need to season them.

I love this grill. We bought a cover for it yesterday. I like that it has casters so that it could be moved easily. We are very pleased with our first order from Wayfair and this grill.

Big grill, a whole lot of pieces, Plan on spending several hours putting together. this is mostly a painted silver grill with about 15 percent being stainless steel. this is not made any better than a two hundred dollar grill, just includes the side sear.

looks nice, works fine. will probably last a year or two like most Walmart grills.

Ordered from BBQ Guys and 4 days later grill arrived. First Step, find the directions and all the screws, sort and inventory them. Turns out I had spares, plus a few found in the box that don’t go anywhere.

at least from what I can tell. Assembled by myself with the help of my wife for the 3 person step. I have a 2 shelf utility cart that I used to move the parts from the garage to the deck. Unboxed everything and placed the items around the deck and started following the steps in the assembly book.

No words, just pictures and arrows. I am 63 years old and grew up playing with Lego and can follow an image or diagram with no problems. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the hardest, I rank the assembly a 4.

A 3/8″ nut driver, 3/8″ wrench, rubber mallet and Phillips screwdriver was all the tools I used. Found all the screws in the box with the wheels-Package N020-0213. Steps that I had to pause on – The wheels, I wasn’t sure about taping the plastic block into the corner that the wheel goes into because there was a metal tap in the way for two of the corners.

Just do it, its works fine. The chrome bars had some screws tightened really tight and other loose. Turns out the tightened screws worked better after I broke them free with the wrench, the loose screen won’t screw in without force.

I removed the bar and tighten all screws to about 3/8″ gap then reinstalled and it worked fine. One last hiccup which is funny but caught me off guard, the lights would not turn on. I was looking for the battery but it turns out the lights require electricity.

After reading so many reviews and researching I did not see any reviews or on-line videos show an extension cord. I though the plug on the grill was for the rotisserie. Plugged in, works great. Looks even better at night.

Broke grill in cooking steaks. I know its new, but it’s going to get dirty and need cleaning. But its new and shiny.

So I bought my first Weber Genesis Grill this past Christmas to replace a 25-year old grill of a different manufacturer that I’d had since new. It was reliable as a rock, had 3 rebuilds over the years but the poor thing was ready to fall apart.

The Genesis grill was a terrific upgrade and gave me an idea of the quality of the Weber brand. We got a new travel trailer in January 2022 and we needed a reliable grill to take on our camping excursions.

Naturally, I started looking at a suitable Weber grill to fill that need. After much looking at all of the various “portable” models I decided on the Q1200 since we didn’t really need anything bigger since it’s just the wife and myself.

The Q1200 is a great little grill for our camping excursions. It’s neat and compact and it’s almost like they designed it to fit in the storage compartment of our Arctic Fox 25W camper. I did buy an aftermarket 8-foot braided stainless steel adapter hose to be able to use a 20# propane tank versus the 1# disposable canisters because of the ridiculous cost of the 1# canisters that are about 4X the cost of bulk propane.

The adapter hose still allows the use of the 1# canisters if that is what you have available without any modifications to the grill. Ultimately, I might modify the grill to hook up directly to the camper’s propane system, but that’s down the road.

The grill itself works great for 2-3 people though it loses heat very fast when the lid is opened to flip the burgers, hotdogs, chicken or steaks. You definitely have to cook with the lid closed. From my experience, you’ll get maybe 2-3 grill sessions out of a 1# canister so you’d better take several with you if that is your choice of fuel sources.

With the 20# tank it’s not much of a concern as you can lift the tank and readily tell if you have enough fuel for a camping trip. If it’s low, fill the 20# tank up for $10-$12 @ $3/gallon. Make sure you get spare aluminum pans to catch the drippings out of the bottom of the grill too.

They tend to blow away if it gets windy and they definitely are needed if you’re cooking steaks or chicken as the meat tends to drip A LOT!.

Excellent little grill for the most part, which reflects Weber’s consistency in excellent quality and overall design. The gas-control knob actually does regulate the flame very well to provide different cooking settings.

I have had other Weber grills (gas and charcoal) and they were all good investments for the money. My current purchase of the Q1200 portable grill has, so far, been a very good experience, but there are a couple of minor aspects of the product’s design that could use improvement.

First is my frustration in cleaning cast iron grates which constantly need attention to mitigate food residue and fat buildup. Coating the cast iron grates with a ceramic enamel coating only improves the cleaning process minimally.

Polished stainless steel grates, which for me, has been easier to clean, should be offered at least as an upgrade option. Second, the interior surface of the lower cook-box should be polished to a smoother finish in order to facilitate better drainage of food juices and debris to the little collection pan underneath.

Even with the current design being well-executed, buildup on the wall surfaces is still a problem. This clean-up issue has been experienced in my other grill (Weber ‘Spirit II’) as well, and may or may not be something Weber can reengineer economically.

But,. at he end of the day,. I’m still happy in my purchase. Weber continues to be the leader in grilling products. Thanks for listening.

Best feature: Curved, cast aluminum lid & body makes cleaning much easier than stamped steel with its corners & creases. The porcelain-coated, cast iron grates are also a plus–others use welded steel rod.

The grates are two-piece so they easily fit in the sink for cleaning. The fold-out side tables are handy for holding fixin’s, just don’t fold them in while the grill is hot. My unit heats up quickly to 550 degrees and cooking, so far, is very good with consistent temperature, although two burners would be nice.

I use a 20-pound cylinder, so no issues with attaching the small bottles. Other grills in this price range use low-grade stainless which discolors. check with a magnet. The burner control is easier to use than most and the sturdy structure remains solid in the elements.

My cheaper brinkman cover fits fine. A half-size griddle is available, but it’s expensive. If this table-topper lives up to Weber’s reputation for dependability, I look forward to many seasons of outdoor delights.

Love grilling outside. A great time saver when cooking large quantities. Downside it has no grill lid with handle like the 720-0786A. Why not? The lid would double as a back splatter guard as well as keep outdoor dirt and bugs off gridle.

Yes we could purchase a 70″ vinyl cover for the entire grill but the underside would get sticky from the grease on the gridle.

This is a great griddle at a great price. With four burners going it heats up very quickly. You can then turn down burners as you wish to control which areas need the most heat. Each burner can be lit independently! This is a big deal and not offered on some of the more expensive griddles.

The rear grease removal is exactly where it should be leaving the front of the griddle for cooking. I should have purchased the optional top when I got mine because it needs one when you put the cover on it.

I made my own out of wood instead. You will not be disappointed with this griddle, it’s a lot of fun to use.

Fantastic Father’s Day gift! Use it almost every day to cook everything from breakfast to dinner! No smells in the kitchen anymore! Large size griddle to accommodate multiple meals or meals for large parties! You will definitely enjoy using this product! Only negative is that I barely use my bbq grill any longer except for grilling steaks.

This griddle top is solid!!.

Fiddly to put together, there are no words in the manual regarding construction only pictures so take your time, oh and it is quite bulky so you may need to build in situ rather than inside and then move out as I tried (only just successfully).

The BBQ itself is well-reviewed, it is well made, sturdy and looks the part. I have only used it once so far. I decided to use coals, putting the burners on for 15 minutes on high then opening the lid as recommended for the coals to turn white.

For me this did not work well, the coals did not retain enough of the heat which meant having to put the burners on again with the coals in situ which you are not supposed to do. I think essentially you need to heat the coals up on maximum heat with the lid closed for at least 20 minutes, although the manual is confusing as it says in one place to heat up for at least 15 mins and in another not more than 15 mins.

I am sure I will get the hang of it though and it will be worth it as others who have perfected cooking on it rate it highly.

I’ll start this review by saying I’m not a BBQ expert! However I’m really pleased with this one. The gas BBQ works a dream and the charcoal is also very good. It would be even better if you could control air flow with vents when using charcoal and also the ability to raise / lower the grill so food can be cooked through without burning.

I found it a bit fiddly to build, not too taxing and 2 people required at points for lifting. Took me 1 hour and 45 minutes but I’m not the quickest! I’ve read some have done it in less than 90 minutes.

The visual based instructions are available through the Charbroil App, and do not come with the BBQ. The BBQ looks and feels good quality. And I love the fact you have two options and can start your charcoal off with the gas burners.

Overall very happy, with this gas/charcoal hybrid at this price point.

This is a wonderful grill. Have used both gas and charcoal, both fuels work very well. The control on the gas grill lets you slow cook, or quick sear. The 3 controls work great together, and also very well on their own.

The Charcoal section is close to the grates which makes searing very easy. You can leave a couple of the charcoal sections empty which gives you a cool spot to slow cook. Heats up quickly and can get super hot, or steady low temp for roasting.

Out performs my Weber Gas Grill due to its versatility. Will see how durable it is over time. Got a cover with it, grill and cover have been a great investment.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SMOKER ! I honestly didn’t want to give this smoker absolutely any stars at all, but the field was required in order to submit this review !!! It is a flimsy piece of crap ! I should have been forewarned since the reviews weren’t good.

After the first use, the paint burned off the side of the smoker ! The lid doesn’t even fit & falls inside the body I Can’t maintain any type of seal. The body of the smoker’s metal is very thin and pliable.

I regret I wasted my $$ on this smoker. We had a Master Forge whose design was similar which was 5star product – but just wore out after 10yrs. This one won’t last 2months.

I am SO HAPPY that I finally bought this smoker grill, it is a good quality, easy to assemble, the ease of cooking and easy to clean. The flavor of the smoke is so GOOD. I knew it was an electric smoker/grill, but it also comes with a couple of parts to transform into a charcoal grill/smoker.

I recently had a Master built chest smoker with all the bells and whistles, it did not give me the flavor that I get from this smoker and it was a pain to clean. I am a Happy Smoking Girl Now. I looked at this smoker for a few years and didn’t buy because of the reviews.

I wish I had bought it years ago. I LOVE THIS SMOKER.

I was attracted to this design due to the fact that I could grill or smoke on the same unit. Once I used it a couple of times, I am prejudiced against most other grill/smokers. Lots more rack space than it appears, easy temp control, & lots of options with it too.

No need for 2 or 3 different cookers, this does it all. The bighest reason I rave about it is, I’ve never tasted better from any restaurant or any pit chef.

I bought two if these units last year for Christmas. I bought one for myself and one for my mother. My unit died after a couple of weeks – no power at all. I had it replaced and got a second unit that had button issues.

Sometimes the buttons wouldn’t respond at all and other times they would do whatever they wanted. If you push the up arrows, you could get a higher temp, lower temp or just a sore finger from pushing the button a thousand times.

I decided not to return it because the return process was so painful the first time. I found out this Christmas that the unit my mother has was doing the same thing with the buttons, but she never told me because she though it was her hands (she can’t press things very hard because of her arthritis).

Well, it wasn’t her hands. It didn’t work for me either and I could not get her unit to even power off by pressing the power button. I had to unplug it. Both units are only roughly a year old and both units are not usable right now.

I’ve wanted to contact Ninja about this, but they do not cater to hearing impaired people and only let you call them on the phone. No email. So if you’re hearing-impaired, you have to find a hearing person to make this call for you and hope that the problem is understood all the way through.

This is very poor customer service. Just give us an email address and we can all convey our problems much more clearly and and we can do so during off-hours.

As an avid barbecuer, our household was in search of a solution that would replace the need to have to turn on our outdoor barbecue in -20 degree winter weather. And so far, this indoor grill has fit the bill.

The Smart Cook System has proven to be pretty spot-on; and having the integrated thermometer takes the guess work out of all your traditional bbq’s whether it be chicken, pork sausages, or sirloin steaks.

We don’t have a large family, but the large capacity made it easier to not have to worry if a second batch needed to be made (and/or run a second round as it could handle both protein & veg all at once).

Outside of our proteins, and grilled vegetables, we air fried hash browns for breakfast, fries for lunch, and roasted potatoes to accompany our dinners without any issues. One last thing we wanted to ensure (it being an indoor grill) was making sure there wasn’t a huge amount of smoke created from when cooking, and it has met our expectations in controlling/minimizing the smoke created when cooking.

My Ninja Foodi Smart XL grill just arrived today, I immediately had to try it out. I had 2 bags of Super Colossal Shrimp in the fridge. I removed the shells and tails, put the shrimp in a batter bowl, preheated the Foodi grill, I didn’t bother with the skewers.

At “ADD FOOD” using silicone tipped tongs, I laid the shrimp on the grill that held 12, spritzed each shrimp with vegetable oil, then ground freshly ground sea salt over each shrimp, closed the lid, and cooked each batch for 5 minutes, no turning was needed.

We had the most Delicious grilled shrimp ever! The next time I’ll sprinkle 2 drops of liquid smoke on each shrimp! For dinner tonight, I’m going to cook Cheeseburgers and French Fries in the Ninja Foodie Smart XL grill and I can hardly wait to get started! This Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill is my Mother’s Day gift to me from my husband, the second best Mother’s Gift I ever received.

My best Mother’s Day gift was my oldest son who was born on Mother’s Day in 1980. My New Ninja Foodie NeverStick Vivid Cookware is expected to be delivered here the end of this week as the 2nd part of my Mother’s Day gift from my husband because last week his doctors gave him only 6 months to a year to live, he’s afraid that he won’t be here next Mother’s Day so he’s determined to make this Mother’s Day special for me! I Love My Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill that is well worth every penny that my husband paid for it (I picked it out).

Thus far, the Cyclonic grilling is absolutely Awesome!.

My family has been in search of an outdoor grill in time for Spring. When this gas griddle arrived, I realized it is even better than a regular grill because I can do much more with it. Think breakfasts (pancake, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon), grilled cheese sandwich, veggies, chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon.

Even fried rice! So many options. I love that you can only turn the burner on on the side you need, that will help save on gas. I would humbly suggest to get griddle spatulas, chopper and scrapers, tongs, heat resistant gloves.

Bacon press for grilled sandwiches. Skewers etc. List can go on for individual needs but at the minimum I would get the scraper and griddle spatulas for sure. When you have the right tools for flat top cooking, you will have better control of the griddle.

Carbon steel surface comes with a protective coating so it would be a good idea to wash the top coating and then pour some flax seed oil on a paper towel to rub on the griddle, then turn all burners on to cook off the oil prior to first use.

You can repeat it a few times to get a nice smooth surface. Surface color will turn darker over time. After every cooking, it is a good idea to squirt some water (condiment bottles work great for this).

Turn burners on if you have stubborn food marks. Scrape all the bits and cook off the water. Once dry, season it again for next use & also to protect the surface from elements. Never leave the surface wet as it will lead to rusting.

If you are familiar with cast iron cooking, you will get the hang of this easily. We are so happy with this 4 burner gas griddle we got, compliments of Char Broil and Bazaarvoice.

This griddle is the perfect addition for outdoor cooking. First off let me say the assembly was simple and directions clear. I was able to assemble it myself in less than 40 minutes. The assembly directions say for 2 people to put the griddle top in place and even though I was able to do it myself I would suggest to following the directions.

The griddle top is not only heavy duty, but is heavy. I followed the directions to season the griddle top and used flax seed oil for this. The seasoning process takes some time, but is well worth doing it right! I got to break in this griddle by using it to cook up some peppers and onions in addition to some chicken thighs.

It cooks evenly and I had no issues with anything sticking. Clean up was also simple. I would recommend following the suggestions given in the cooking guide book that came with it for seasoning and clean up.

The cooking surface size is large and provides versatility. Cannot wait to tryout a breakfast fest. There is enough room for a full breakfast from bacon/sausage to eggs and pancakes/French toast. Even though it has a large cooking surface, it is still compact enough that we plan to pack up and use for fall football tailgates! With a product like this in addition to my gas grill, I will be doing all the cooking I can outdoors.

This review is for the 36” Char Broil Griddle which I have been using regularly since I assembled it! Overall I have found this griddle to be an outstanding value, especially for its price point. Some simple assembly is required.

My griddle came in a single box. Cut the two plastic straps and the box lid lifts right off. The components seem well packed. I used a 10mm wrench, an adjustable wrench, and a Philips screwdriver to assemble.

Once I had it unpacked, assembly took about 15 minutes. The griddle top comes coated in a protective oil to prevent rust. As noted in the instructions, your first step after assembly is to wash this oil off.

I used dish soap in hot water. I followed this up with plain hot water to get the soap off. I towel dried the surface and then fired up the grill for a few mins to cook off any remaining moisture. The top is carbon steel (not Teflon nor stainless steel) and if not seasoned it will rust.

For many griddle users, at this point they slap on some oil or bacon and immediately start cooking. Over time they build up the seasoning that helps protect the griddle surface from rusting and the food from sticking.

The seasoning coat/layer consisted of : 1. wiping on a thin layer of flax oil over the cooking surface (I applied with a paper towel). 2. wipe off excess oil (I used paper towel). 3. turning on all the burners for 30 mins or so to basically burn the oil in (I ran a little longer than 30 min).

4. turn the burners off and let the griddle cool Repeat the process. Char Broil recommends at least 4-5 coats. The cast iron cookware seasoning articles I read recommended 6 coats. Optimal seasoning will leave you with a shiny black cooking surface.

After 6 coats of flax oil, I was nearing the optimal shiny black surface. Check level. Before starting to cook on the griddle, check level. Use a construction level or a marble or anything you have handy.

You want to be sure that liquid will flow towards the drain. My patio slopes away from the house, so I had to set the left wheels of the griddle on a scrap of plywood to get the grease to head to the drain hole.

Cooking. Even with a great seasoned cooking surface, I add a dash of oil with many of the things I cook (for example, eggs). Cleaning the griddle: Helped along by my well seasoned cooking surface, I find the griddle quick to clean.

It typically takes me 3-5 mins. My only complaint about the griddle would be randomly the grease running off will miss the cup and start running down the griddle leg. So use a paperclip or a piece of wire.

If you stick it in the hole down to the grease cup, the grease will run down the wire instead of the surface tension causing fluids to flow up under the grease gutter. Or you can wrap a small piece of foil around the end of the drain to direct grease down.

Moving to this 6 burner grill from a 2009 3 burner Ducane. This thing is shiny, big, and hot, but compared to the Ducane, it is built of the thinnest and tinniest metal possible – I am doubtful I will get 13 years out of this grill unfortunately.

The doors don’t even line up right even with some gentle ‘adjustment’. Also, the blue-purple knobs are okay when lit up at night but look goofy in daylight. One more flaw – the area right above the propane tank gets mighty hot – first time I used the grill I burned myself when I went to shut off the tank.

That being said, it gets hot fast, looks nice, and was fairly easy to assemble. If you keep it covered and only expect 5-10 years of life, this may yet be a fine choice.

I was in the market for a new grill. I had used the popular brands in the past but discovered Monument Grills from a high rating on Consumer’s Reports. I did some searching and found a great price. I am glad I did.

This grill is wonderful. Setup was very easy and everything went together perfectly. I’ve used it a couple of times now and I am very impressed on how well it works. Definitely the best grill I have ever owned.

With this grill we bought the opportunity to cook fast, easily and without fats. The grill has a lot of options – grill, sandwiches, waffles etc. You can store the stuff in the vertical position and the price is very reasonable.

Dit kan zowel met de hand onder de kraan als in de vaatwasser. Inmiddels in de Grill in huis al voor verschillende doeleinden gebruikt. Van tosti’s tot paninis en als tafelgrill. De bijgevoegde platen hebben beiden een gladden en geribbelde kant, elk voor zijn eigen doeleinden.

Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld op de gladde kant van de platen zeer makkelijk en snel een eitje bakken. Door de functie dat de grill volledig open kan klappen, is hij ook fantastisch te gebruiken als gourmetset.

Er is meer dan ruimte genoeg voor vier personen om de Grill in deze functie te gebruiken. Dankzij de draaiknop kun je zelf de warmte reguleren, zo kun je dit per bereiding aanpasse naar wat je nodig hebt.

Een hele prettige bijkomstigheid bij deze grill als je kinderen in huis hebt, is dat de bovenkant ook niet heet wordt. Hij wordt natuurlijk wel warm, maar je kunt hem voor langere tijd aanraken zonder dat dit vervelend is.

De Grill is een mooi uitziend product die ruim is maar niet te veel ruimte in neemt in de keuken als hij niet in gebruik is. Hij zou perfect zijn om verticaal op te bergen als er een klemmetje op had gezeten om hem dicht te houden.

Nu valt hij steeds open als je dit probeert. Ook heeft hij geen klemmetjes om de stroomkabel netjes weg te werken als hij niet in gebruik is. Echter zijn dit beiden puntjes waar zelf een oplossing voor te verzinnen is en voor mij de pret niet drukken.

Me collega’s waren er erg van onder de indruk dat je hem helemaal open kon klappen en hierdoor kon gourmetten. En al neemt het alleen wel wat extra tijd in beslag doordat hij steeds zijn tijd neemt om op temperratuur te komen, maar ach we hadden toch de hele nacht.

Hij beschikt over twee platen die je makkelijk los kunt halen wat enorm scheelde bij het schoonmaken en we konden afwisselen tussen een pannenkoekje baken of ei of een lekker stukje vlees. Het snoer had een prima lengte en hij was snel op temperatuur.

Als we even weg moesten draaide we deze laag en konden daarna al snel weer veder. En natuurlijk heb ik er ook gewoon een tosti op gemaakt wat lukte met verschillende dikte brood doordat hij zichzelf aanpast in hoogte bij de ingeklapte stand.

Al met al net geen tosti ijzer net geen gourmetstel of net geen grill het is van alles wat, dit maakt hem een super leuke combinatie. Er zit een super anti aanbak laag op waardoor weinig boter nodig was en als er iets weg droop werd dit opgevangen in het makkelijke opvang bakje.

Dus wil je net iets meer als een grill dan zou ik hem zeker aanbevelen. Als tip was een sluitklem wel makkelijker geweest doordat hij vrij grof is, maar dit kleine puntje kan echt niet opwegen tegen alle plus punten.

I bought my Memphis Ultimate Smoking Grill July 2021. Assembly took about two hours total including me finding my tools and was not a difficult task just a bit tedious for my big hands to hold onto the hardware.

Once assembled I set it up on my deck and performed the break in of the grills and smoker. I could not wait to try it out! once I had everything seasoned and broke in with my gradual preheat it was time to try a smoking session.

I decided to smoke three items at once, Salmon, Brisket and Chicken as I have in the past with my old school smoker. Everything turned out absolutely juicy and tender!! I could not be more pleased with the results.

Now it was time to try the actual grill’s out. Steaks on the gas side, hot dogs and burgers on the charcoal side. Being able to run the smoker with chips and opening the vents to the grills gave the meats a touch of deliciousness by adding the hit of smoked wood to the grilled meats.

Absolutely a wonderful grilling experience. I was a traditional smoker guy and never dreamed I would like an electric smoker, how wrong I was! Simple to use, easy to hold correct temperatures and clean up a cinch.

A little bit of Vinegar to clean the glass and seal a wipe up from any drippings that missed my foil box and it was ready for the next urge to smoke some meat. Id find it hard to believe you would not love this set up and highly recommend the Memphis Ultimate Smoking Grill as your next investment of eating some fine food!! This grill has two main issues. 1. There’s no thermometer on the smoker, so it’s anyone’s guess what the temperature is inside or when it’s preheated! 2. It’s advertised as a 4 in 1 grill when it does NOT come out of the box that way.

In order to use the cold smoker, you have to purchase a tube that goes from the smoker to the grill OR as the lovely people in customer service told me, you can put charcoal all the way to the left and cold smoke by putting your items all the way to the right of the grill.

I can not roll my eyes harder at this suggestion. That is indirect heat, NOT smoking. Not only is it false advertising, but nonsense. Then every grill ever could say, hey I’m a 2 in 1 grill. But does anyone advertise that way? No, because it’s false advertising.

It gets way too hot to smoke cheese. When you cold smoke, it should be only be smoke in the chamber, hence the, you know, cold part. Their customer service is absolutely horrible and refused to make it right in any way.

For $600, I expected to get a grill at least as good as the OG Memphis, which is less. And one that actually does what the box says! You can’t call something a feature when you have to buy extra parts to make it have the 4th feature.

The original had both a thermometer on the smoker and a way to open a vent between the smoker and the grill so you can actually cold smoke. Highly recommend passing on this.

I purchase this from Walmart about three years ago. I have only scratched the surface of what all this grill can do. I have smoked ribs, turkey, duck, roast, pizza and many other things. I have used the charcoal more often then the gas grill.

Both are excellent though. Pros; Gas, charcoal, electric smoker in one, you can pull the knobs to let smoke into the gas or charcoal to cold smoke, built tough, grill grates are strong and hold up well, drawers are nice to put utensils, thermometers, and hand towels in.

I don’t think it’s too heavy to move on your deck or patio with the good wheels it comes with. Grill cover (sold separately) fits very nice. Cons; To add charcoal you have to lift up the grill grates, (I wish the vent in front could open to add charcoal or somewhere else to add the charcoal) Wyoming weather even with the grill covered during the times it was not being used the chrome of the handles and rubber part around the handles peeled off and came off.

( not the handles, the chrome and rubber part. ) I have a hard time controlling a constant smoking temperature around 160 to 200. (I wish it could be digital or had a way to buy an attachment to make it digital.

) Over all; I live in Wyoming and with the hot dry summers, cold snowy winters, and high winds, it is hard to keep your stuff nice if you have to leave it outside. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn’t for the chrome peeling off and the rubber around the handles breaking off.

The temperature for the smoker and having to remove the grill grade to add charcoal is not that big of a deal for me. I love my Pit Boss Memphis Ultimate Smoking Grill, I will buy another one and I strongly recommend it to anyone else.

I have owed this product for over 2 years and I have to say that it gets a bad wrap. Negative reviews are not fair because this grill is 1/2 the price (or less) than that of its competitors. At my previous house I owned one of its competitors and you run into the same issues with all grills.

If you use it a lot, general maintenance will be required, ie. deep cleaning, parts replacement, etc. The good news is that the replacement parts for this grill are reasonably priced. When I needed to replace a searing burner on a competitor, it was over $200 for just the burner.

For this grill, I just did an overhaul and it cost me about $180 for new grates, new burner covers and a new searing burner. The installation of the replacement parts was simple. The exterior of the grill still looks brand new because I wipe it down with a stainless cleaner 1-2 times a month and I clean it with Bar Keepers stainless cleaner every 6-8 months to remove discolorations, water marks, etc.

At this rate, if I do an overhaul every 2 years, you still spend less on this grill after 10-15 years than the competitors. Buying a grill is like buying a car, you need to look at the performance and compare it to the price.

This grill is like a Lincoln or Cadillac, it gives you some premium features and looks luxurious and the maintenance won’t kill you. You can spend $2000-$5000 on a grill, and the quality may be better, however, the maintenance will be expensive and it will still be necessary.

In regard to the grilling, the searing burner cooks delicious steaks and the grill is large enough to cook at least 10-12 burgers at a time. The ignitors are still functioning great and the burners produce an even heat.

I have never used the rotisserie. I wish you could add a second searing burner because it its pretty small and you can only fit 2-3 steaks on it at a time, however, the ignitors are different and there is a resting plate on the rear side of the fire box to support the weight of the searing burner.

Bought this grill because we had purchased all Kitchen Aid for the inside. dishwasher, cook top, frig, oven-micro combo, and that it was cheaper than other grills. Big mistake! The sear burner has melted after a couple years and the bbqing grates are now falling apart as they cannot take the heat.

So, I guess it time to purchase a REAL grill that costs 3 times what this one did. Guess you get what you pay for?.

Bought a built in Kitchenaid Grill for the searing feature. The high heat destroyed two of the stainless steel cooking grates within one season of use. The problem? Kitchenaid does not include nor do they offer solid stainless steel rod grates for their grills that will withstand the heat of the searing burner.

The extreme sear heat bakes and cracks the stainless steel coating off of the grates provided. No satisfaction when contacting them for replacements or upgrades. I’m left with only two usable of the four grates that came with the grill and searching for replacements from another manufacturer just so I can use my grill.

In the meantime, no sear cooking for me. Very disappointed in lack of Kitchenaid product quality and support.
