13 Best 4 Prong Walking Cane (2022 Updated)

22 years ago, I hurt my right knee playing basketball. Seven months ago I suffered kidney failure. After spending two weeks in the hospital, and losing a lot of weight, I was rather wobbly and uncoordinated when walking.

That made observers, who were certain I’d ‘hit the hard deck’ at any moment, nervous, concerned for my safety. Using this wide base quad cane has made it much easier to get around with confidence.

My mother liked the sturdiness of the cane. She said she felt secured with the cane compared to not having it. She struggled with walking around the house and to the mailbox. She felt like she was going to fall at any moment.

This cane has changed that. Also, she can work in the yard now, with proper support. She also finds the grip on the cane comfortable. She also likes the adjustable levels on the cane that provides proper height for her.

Very solid quad cane, price is a great value for me, just under $25. Arrived quickly and fully assembled. Just needed to adjust based on personal height. Has a firm rubber type handle. Has a carrying strapped already attached.

Very, very happy I purchased this to replace old can whose handle broke off.

I LUV the Switch Sticks brand and their funky fun designs and colors. I have five different designs and colors already. This will be my summer cane! Turquoise is such a summer color. Shipment was fast and the price just couldnt be beat.

The carrying pouch was missing (it was an open box purchase), but I never use them any way; everything else was perfect. This was a great buy. Ill be on the look out for another!.

This is my second Switch Stick, my first one purchased about 3 years ago, in a gorgeous red colour, called “Carnival”. But it wasn’t long before the handle paintwork chipped & continued to do so & then colour scraping of the leg of it too.

I tried to contact an owner/distributor in this country, but failed to which is odd. I then contacted an Australian distributor, who had only recently taken over the brand there. He suggested it may be a reaction of my hand sweat/skin, but said they had heard comments on paintwork peeling easily.

I may have believed this could be the case, but not now after recently purchasing this black/bubbles design one. I have barely used it for 2 weeks now & it has chipped, but mostly not on the part of the handle I grip.

It’s mostly the outside of the handle, away from your hand & ironically enough, on the Switch Sticks brand logo! It’s also chipped on the inside of the stick leg, that faces towards me. How the heck that chipped, I have no idea!! That’s the reason I’ve scored it as I have & not recommended it & I won’t buy anymore of them for this reason.

This issue needs to be resolved as it’s Not acceptable.

Bought this for my 86 yr old mom. She wanted pretty and this fit the bill. Her favourite colour is red, even better! It was sent directly to her. She said it went together the minute she took it out of the bag.

She didn’t have to adjust it, she said it was already the perfect height. She absolutely loves everything about this cane. Loves how bright and cheery and sturdy it is.

The cane is great and exactly what I expected/wanted. The only problem is the color of it. I have a ‘bronze’ one already and I was looking to replace it. I selected ‘bronze’ on your website when I ordered and it looks like copper.

It is really different from my ‘bronze’ one. But it is as functional as my current one. No problems yet. I hope I won’t have and issues.

00). I had no problem adjusting the cane for the proper height for my use. A strong contender for a reliable walking cane. Could very well be the last cane you will buy.

I had drop foot, a number of years ago, on my left foot. My left foot is working better now, but my left and right leg feel different still. I bought this cane to help me walk. I can walk without the cane, but it helps so much to have the cane.

This cane is good because it is adjustable. I found information that I should use a 30″ one, but when I found the adjustment I liked, it is a little more than 34″. It is very well worth it, to me, to have this aid.

This cane is disappointing especially as I chose it because it is a DRIVE product. The handle is black foam so it is not as in the picture that appears on the item page. It wobbles when you walk. It doesn’t feel substantial.

It tips over from a standing position. The only reason l’m keeping it is that was less than 20. 00 dollars.

I’ve had the cane for 8 or 9 months and I put around 210 lbs on it throughout the day. There’s never been an issue and when I’m not walking I just stand the cane upright. Having 4 points means that it doesn’t fall over.

You can’t go wrong with Drive Products. First saw Drive products in the rehab hospital. Packaging is easy to open and protects the product in transit. Easy to adjust height. Will work with either left or right arm.

Walmart has fast dependable delivery.

LIght weight, classic black that I leave everywhere; I should have gotten purple. Adjustable but should have directions as to correct way to adjust properly. Id buy another. very reasonable.

While not particularly elegant this cane really does a fine job of supporting my weight off of an injured ankle. I’m 5′ 9″ and around 180 lbs. The cane was easy to adjust to fit my need. The grip is made of a foam-type material that allows for an easy to maintain firm grip.

I’m not real sure how long the grip material will hold up but it certainly will be adequate for my need. The rubber tip on the bottom provides a great non-skid interface to the floor. I was a bit concerned when I ordered this as I’ve got hardwood flooring through the main level of my home.

But, no problem with that. The cane grabs the floor well even at some pretty extreme angles. My purchase price was around $12 to $13 — can’t argue with that considering UPS brought it directly to my doorstep!!.

3 years ago, I wanted a walking stick, but did not like the look of the ski pole fitness sticks. This I fell in love with. Asked my husband for one, waffled on getting 2 because of the price. Before Christmas, TS offered a discount and I ended up getting 2.

They’re great to walk with. The arm movements really get your heart rate going during a walk. I’m now having problems with vertigo and these are a life saver. I can walk standing straight (which I couldn’t with a cane).

I use them to assist with any exercise that requires balance (like squats and lunges).

We are talking about a stick, but the product is made well with a personal touch. Nice lacquer coating and smooth all around. Walking wise, it gives me a incentive to get out and walk more. Right handed here and seem to use that side the most.

Gives me a push on the back step, also figure if I loose my footing would help with support. If I want to stop for a few, makes a good lean to. Works good, no batteries. Enjoy.

Every where I go people complement on my walking stick and ask me where I bought it from. I tell them it is a Brazo walking stick, but I bought it from Tractor Supply here in Texas. Sometimes my knee gives out on me and using the walking stick better than having a cane.

I also use it a the round about when cars won’t stop when the have a red light it is great…The reason I gave four stars, is because the walking stick does not have the holding indentation that is in the picture….

Not what I expected. Nice staff overall but could have been finished a lot better. They cautioned about natural cracks but didn’t say that they were very sharp on the edges. Also where they inset their medallion the edges of the hole are sharp.

Overall it needs better quality control. I will make it usable but will probably invest an hour of my time to make it safe.

Keeps you upright, instead of bent forward using other walking canes. Very nicely made. Good price compared to others on other websites.

I purchased this for my 80 year old husband who was having stability issues. He didn’t want a cane or use a walker as that’s “old man” stuff. He was a Boy Scout leader a long time ago and really like the gnarled walking stick idea.

He now uses this every time he goes outside and I feel that he is now much safer. Ironwood is VERY STRONG, too.

Sorry to speak poorly of an American made product, but I purchased this cane for my semi disabled son, who lives alone in a rural area of New York. He didn’t want to tell me, but it seems he had to cane only 1 day and the part that goes in your hand fell off.

He got it stuck in the space between the boards on the deck and when he went to pick it up again, it was broken! So much for stability there!.

Walking stick is perfect. Been on crutches after a fall and blew up my knee. Walking stick is much easier to handle and get around. Less cumbersome than even on one crutch. Nice and light weight but definitely serves it purpose for relieving the weight on the knee with each step.

Beautiful cedar wood is icing on the cake.

This McKesson walking cane is stable well-built and looks good. It is light weight. The thick foam handle makes it easy to grip and stays cool even then the cane itself is hot or cold. It is silver-colored and has a curved handle so it is easily hung over furniture, counters, stair railing, etc.

It is far superior to the other four walking canes that I tried. In fact, I liked it so much I bought three!.

Love it ! Couldn’t be happier with it ! It’s strong and dependable. The curved handle is comfortable and hangs over my scooter perfectly.

Canes came promptly. Great quality . Great price. I will order again.

Works well, folds easily, lightweight and cute pattern. My only issue is the handle is not comfortable, not soft and is slippery if your hand sweats while using.

My second one. First one was purchased in 2010, 10 years & still going strong. Needed a second to keep in the extra car. Great for travel.

I have a torn labrum in my hip so sometimes I need a little “help†! I keep this cane in my glove box and if we’re doing a lot of walking I’ll pop it in my purse and it’s handy when I need it. Easy to open/close and very sturdy!.

After a week’s use I’m very pleased with this sturdy, attractive and easily adjustable cane. I’m not rating it great/perfect because I’m not sure how well the threads on the ring that has to be loosened to adjust the cane will hold up over time.

Given that I won’t be making many, if any, future adjustments I’d guess quite well, but at this point that is a guess. If I’m able to edit this review in the future I’ll do so.

I love this cane. I’ve ordered one before it lasted several years mostly having it get wet damage the handle but that was expected so I finally ordered another one and I love it

I purchased this cane for my mom who is in her mid-seventies and is very mobile – she just needed a bit of stability to boost her confidence. Love the green color and it’s so lightweight! She loves it.

The only thing I can think of to change is the striped foam handle – wish it was just plain black as the green doesn’t really match the cane itself. Thank you!.

The cane works fine as far as workmanship, design, and appearance but, I bought it for the light attachment which only worked for a couple of days before it came loose, fell off, and quit working. Appears to be a faulty solder inside the battery compartment.

Will be returning the unit for refund which has been handled with no issues so far.

The light didn’t come on at first. It then started to work and after one day of use the light stopped working. The battery seems to be an odd one not easy to find. Other than that it was an ok cane

Great cane, comfortable to use. At first the light worked for a minute, I was going to try new batteries, but later after messing with a few minutes It is working.

Nothing is going to destroy this thing. Its heavy, tough, could be used as a weapon if need be. You get used to the weight of it. Its worth every cent. It will make you feel secure

A great buy. Has a high weight rating. I ordered it for my wife. She was a little upset when she saw it as she didn’t think she needed one. After getting use to it, and the idea that she did need it, now it goes everywhere with her.

She Loves it.

My wife uses to quad teens to walk and slightly awkward manner. Guess you several canes throughout the year and this change work so well for her it’s durable but at a decent price that if she breaks it or Bends it we don’t feel like she’s done significant damage.
