20 Best 48 Inch Gas Cooktop (2022 Updated)

We purchased matching appliances when we built our house almost 4 years ago. We weren’t satisfied with our gas cooktop, so we recently replaced it with this range top instead. We are thrilled with product! We love the burners.

We usually keep a griddle in the middle, but love we have an option to easily remove it. On our previous cooktop, we only had one burner that we liked using. All of these burners are functional and adjustable.

After 19 years, my original high end 36″ 6 burner cook top started giving me safety issues, so it was time for a replacement. For a couple of months, I surfed the internet to find a replacement. I started looking at other high end units, but I saw the Kucht 36″ burner at a reasonable price.

not to mention the excellent reviews. I pulled the trigger and ordered it. My unit arrived on Jan 2, 2020. The construction of the Kucht appeared to at least matched other high end units, but exceeds in other aspects.

Installation was a breeze, since very little modifications needed to be done to my granite. I wished that I order this unit years ago. My wife and I are happy campers now. First night, I cooked a 4 course dinner.

Any spills were clean easily and quickly with the sealed burners. I just ordered the wok ring, so looking forward to woking some of my Asian favorites. I am very impressed with heat from the 18K BTU burner for searing steaks as well as the smaller 6K BTU burner for those delicate sauces.

I hope to use this unit well beyond 19 years.

We purchased this a replacement for our old gas stove during our kitchen remodel and I am really pleased with this product. The unit offers a lot of versatility for us since we converted from a regular kitchen range product to a counter mounted rangetop.

The various burner outputs and grate configurations make cooking multiple items simultaneously a synch, its a lot of fun to cook on.

We were doing a major remodel so naturally that included our kitchen. After shopping around for commercial quality ranges, we decided on ZLINE. We purchased a 48 inch range, the range hood that has bluetooth speakers, a dishwasher and microwave.

Let me tell you, we couldn’t be happier with our choice! The ZLINE appliances look GREAT! When people come into our kitchen, the first thing they say is how huge it is and the second is always “Wow, look at that range, it’s beautiful!” We purchased the appliances in October of 2021 but, due to delays with the remodel, they weren’t installed until February 2022.

We’ve used all of the appliances numerous times and they all work perfectly, we truly couldn’t be happier with our choice of ZLINE. Now, as far as homeoutletdirect, they too were AMAZING to work with! Their price for the set was about two to three thousand dollars less than Lowe’s, so it was a no brainer on who had the better pricing.

Having never used homeoutletdirect before, I was a little worried. I did some checking on them and once I confirmed they were a legit business with lots of positive reviews, I pulled the trigger and purchased through them.

All of the customer service reps I dealt with were super nice and knowledgeable. And, the appliances were delivered in less than two weeks from when we purchased them!! In this day and age, that is nothing short of amazing.

So to summarize, we LOVE our ZLINE products and we LOVED working with homeoutletdirect. If we ever need appliances in the future, they will be the first website I visit!.

I would not recommend anyone to get this product from Best Buy. My husband and I had the worst experience getting this product delivered and installed into our home. Because of the size of the stove, the first delivery guys refused to put the range in our kitchen but put it in our garage instead.

He said “it’s too heavy!” It took another three more attempts by different drivers to finally get the range in our kitchen. They said it was a four man job but two small guys were able to get it into the kitchen.

To get the range installed it yet another story, Best Buy is sending workers who have no idea how to install the product. My question is, why sell a product you are not knowledgeable about? Two more attempts were made by the Best Buy team to install the range; both failed.

Having no more confidence in Best Buy, my husband and I went on You Tube, found a video and were able to put in the doors and the face at the bottom of the range. To top everything off, the face at the bottom of the range did not fit as it should, however, we bought some screws and fit it in as best as we could.

Having paid so much money for a range it was very disappointing to encounter these problems. One more thing. The oven is electrical and requires a 30 amp breaker. The manufacturers are recommending 50 amps.

We used 30 amps because that is what is on the specs written on the back of the stove. I mean, who wants a stove with a 50 amp breaker in their home? But none of this information is given by Best Buy when you purchase the product.

We assumed only the ignition was electrical and catered only for a regular outlet but then, when the product arrived, we realized we had to run this 30 amp circuit. Additional cost.

How I came to selecting this Company and Appliance package is kind of relevant. Our previous Range by a well known manufacturer was considerably more expensive, about the same size and had fancy display.

Great while it lasted. Unfortunately, the microprocessor chip on the controlee panel went bad. Not covered by warranty, replacement board not available, sent off for repair to two different repair facilities both returned unable to acquire the “microprocessor chip”.

To the point now. I do not miss any of the fancy features of previous Ranges, I actually very much appreciate the simplicity of this product. This is by far the best cooking/working Range we have ever had.

Trying to think of an honest negative comment to be objective but drawing a blank, this is a great product.

Thor 36” Rangetop was one of two affordable options for our newly remodeled kitchen. (A huge upgrade from our 27” GE drop-in stove from 1962!) PROS: It’s BEAUTIFUL! We’ve had several guests comment on it.

There is plenty of room for two people to stand in front and cook at the same time. A huge plus for cooperative, or complimentary cooking! The center front burner is large, but has a super-low simmer setting, which we’ve found very useful.

The knob lights up when it’s burner is in use; a nice safety feature. (This was the deciding factor between Thor and the second option. ) Easy to clean up spills and boil overs. CONS: All three small burners are located in the back row.

The highest BTU burners are all in the front, which isn’t very practical. It would be more convenient to have one low powered burner in front. It feels awkward to only have a back burner to match the small pot size when cooking rice or mac and cheese, etc.

, especially when it’s the only thing on the stove. The surface of the grates seem high above the burners, and despite a high BTU, it seems that it takes as long as my old stove to boil a big pot of water.

It’s the first gas stove I’ve owned so maybe it’s just a perception. It gives off a lot(!) of heat, really warming the kitchen, especially in summer months. It isn’t compatible with a stovetop wok!!! A huge disappointment to learn that after installation, and I was reading the manual.

I would definitely recommend it to a friend with just a couple of reservations: It’s not for Wok cooking, and smaller burners all at the back.

I had purchased a different “Brand X” range top and thankfully we realized was leaking gas. Our gas company verified the leak, so we ordered a replacement. As the delivery time stretched out I began to study reviews again and realized that this THOR Rangetop is a much better option for me! We have an autistic grandson who loves to turn knobs.

The Thor range top knobs have to be pushed in to turn on, then rotate. This isn’t in his skill set. What an incredible safety feature! PLUS, it re-ignites if the flame goes out! These 2 features are lifesavers! On top of the incredible precision that the burners have from a high to a true low flame! I’m SOOO IMPRESSED with my THOR RANGETOP!! This is DEFINITELY the “BEST OF THE BEST” of all the rangetops!! Thank you for all these wonderful features!!.

In love with this Thor package. This is the range I have been waiting for. Burner accuracy like you would not believe, the simmer which I use often is excellent. With on/off burners The pots were always boiling over and making a mess.

This gives a gentle continuous flame for the perfect simmer for gumbo. The oven rack system is excellent and temp. selection is spot on. In addition this thing is built like a tank.

A little background on me. I have worked in professional kitchens and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, and my wife grew up cooking with her family all the time, everything always from scratch. We had a decent gas stove, but I always find myself cooking on “high” trying to get pans hot enough, unless I was putting something on simmer or whatever.

But, unless the dish requires finesse, in a restaurant you are generally cooking hot and fast, it gives everything that nice caramelization and greater depth of flavor, but you have to watch what you are coming closer.

Anyways, now that we have the KFX360, we not only have more room to cook, but I now have to actually pay attention to the level of the flame and what I’m cooking, this thing puts out some SERIOUS heat.

The dual rocket burners are fantastic, and the layout of the burner sizes was very well thought out. Compared to my old 4 burner gas stove, the burner sizes are as follows Old – New Small – none Medium – small Large – medium – LARGE – Rocket burners (BOIL NOW) The slide out shelves in the oven and porcelain insides really makes this feel like a $8,000 top of the line oven.

It cooks nice and even, even without the convection fan on. With it, is just icing on the cake, and a joy to use. We really couldn’t be happier with this stove so far. We’ve had it for over a month, as I didn’t want to write a review that was like “looks fantastic, can’t wait to use it”.

That’s not really a “review” in my book. But we’ve used it almost every day, and it’s a delight every time!.

I’ll start off by saying that I am super picky and not easily impressed. I waited to post a review until I had thoroughly used the products. I’ve been using my dual fuel range and vent hood for several months and I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase.

I was very hesitant purchasing something online without being able to touch it first. The quality of all the components are excellent. The vent hood is powerful and quiet. the Range is rugged and cleans up easily.

The knobs are heavy and solid and turn smoothly. But the thing I like most about KUCHT is their customer service. It is by far the best experience of any appliance company I’ve ever dealt with. When you call KUCHT you are prompted to press 1 for customer service or 2 for technical support.

Literally within three rings you are speaking to the person you need to talk to. You are NOT transferred from department to department or waiting 30 minutes on hold. When I purchased my dual fuel range I needed the liquid propane model but due to supply chain issues there were none in stock so I purchased the natural gas version and they sent me The LP conversion kit.

When I was replacing the orifices, I dropped one of them into the burner assembly and it fell into the top of the oven cavity. I called technical support and they walked me step-by-step on removing the bullnose and retrieving the part which was not difficult at all.

They told me once I put everything back together they would do a video chat to make sure everything on the range was functioning properly. Wedid a video conference it was an amazing experience. I have called support several times with various general questions and I am amazed at how fast my calls and questions are answered.

I can’t say enough good things about their customer support. I would definitely buy from them again.

Thought this was a great value in this price range and chose Thor over a close competitor at Costco. So far, not a fan. From the outset, BB delivery service failed to install the unit. Crew just refused.

Had to beg them to put the unit on our deck nearest the kitchen while we had to search for technicians to install. Be careful when needing to simmer. You’ll need to use the lowest level of flame by going to the left of HIGH.

We discovered that Low flame on this powerful unit is still too powerful for your low simmer dishes. There is an odd placement of the knobs – absolutely no consistency (e. g, front burners are on the left, rear on the right).

On this unit, the placement of the burners is opposite from left and right. You cannot access the lower drawer while the over is in operation. It swells. The manufacturer would have done well to make the over knob digital so you could be assured of the precise temperature.

And please note that Thor calibrates the oven to be 25 degrees lower than what’s on the face to compensate for convection cooking. However Thor’s customer service has not serviced the unit though we’ve complained that the oven temps are not accurate at the higher levels.

They told us that the oven does not properly work in conventional mode – which is a bummer because we purchased this to have the option. If you choose to buy, buy the Best Buy extended warranty. Though we remain under warranty, Thor customer service has been customer frustration.

They are non-responsive to the email inquiry they mandated I submit after talking with two agents (who by the way were quite dismissive). And have yet to assign a technician to confirm proper operations even when I suggested we had no problem in paying for the trip fee!!! The unit is beautiful.

It’s powerful. Sadly, the experience has not lived up to the “Cook Like a God” hype. Feeling more like we’ve checked in to the Hotel California. Big investment for us and feeling like our business isn’t valued by Thor.

We bought this last spring for a new house build in the mountains, but I was not able to try it until we were able to move in this month. The stove exceeded my expectations, but in functionality and beauty.

It brought my investments in stainless and copper cookware to a new level as the cooking is even, and I am getting better results than ever. I feel like a professional cook lol! And how about other features such as oven defrost? I never expected that one, and am thrilled because we quit microwaves.

Cleanup is much easier as I just wipe with a damp rag after meals and have not had to use any harsh chemicals to clean even spilled runny egg yolk…both wet part and dried yolk can right up with a wipe.

I was worried about how to fit burner guards inside the stove, but it’s really not necessary if you just wipe after use. I highly recommend this stove!.

I had another brand of stove, but it never kept temperature in the oven. I love to cook and make some elaborate or delicate dishes that require a consistent temperature. I decided that I needed another stove which would maintain the oven temperature.

I started looking for stoves that had consistent oven temperature as a primary feature as well as a dependable in terms of repairs and maintenance. I also had a budget limit, and when I foound the Zline, I knew that I had found the stove.

I have had the stove for three months now, and I am so happy with the product. My pies, biscuits and terrines have turned out beautifully at the accurate temperatures. I couldn’t be happier with this stove!.

I have only had this range for a few weeks and am absolutely thrilled with the performance. Cooking is a passion of mine and have braised, baked, fried and saute’d so far without issues. High output with even flames provide the right cooking experience.

I have previously owned LG and GE ranges, they cannot compare to the ZLINE. Due to the layout of my kitchen I did not think I could ever have a high-end range like this. This is true old style cooking which I really enjoy.

No overly gross electronics. I use an oven thermometer that has been spot on with the selected. Truly happy!.

I’m so happy to actually write a review! I have finally built my dream home with that came my dream kitchen. I’ll be honest, I was looking for a Wolf gas range, but that wasn’t possible due to the pandemic and everything being back ordered.

So the sales man offered me the ZLINE. At that point I really did not have a choice, I needed the range for inspection to pass. I was hesitant I made a bad choice. Well I’m glad to say I didn’t! Love my range, love the way it cooks and functions.

Ive been using this range for over three weeks now and couldnt be more pleased. Per my own oven thermometer, the unit accurately holds temperature no mater what feature Im using. The gas burners are sooo much better than my old Kenmore Elite.

All of them are very responsive and provide an amazing temperature range. No more struggling to have a gentle simmer -even on the larger burners when making a big pot of chili. I used to have to move the pot around to different burners but not anymore! Couldnt be more happier with this purchase.

We have received this ZLINE range from Premium Home Source over a month ago. I wanted to hold off with the review until I was able to say that I have used this appliance to its full potential and can honestly review the features it provides.

First of all, this range has a very classic design. It looks great in our new, modern kitchen. It is definitely an upgrade compared to our old range. I could tell from day 1 that the ZLINE cooktop heats up much faster than my old range cooktop.

My dinners take less time cooking which is a huge plus when trying to save time and enjoy beautiful days this summer. Did I mention that the oven is so spacious that you can literally bake/roast few dishes at the same time? Overall, we are very impressed by this product and would recommend it to family and friends.

It is nice to finally have a large enough, well made refrigerator. The one that was in our house when we moved in was a piece of junk. We really appreciate this one. It has much more room, is quieter and is built very well.

Should last us many years. The adjustable shelves sit in grooves that make them very strong, we have put them to the test and they hold plenty of weight. You won’t regret your purchase if you are thinking of buying this refrigerator.

Also very pleased with the range, getting so many comments from my friends and family on how good it looks.

Absolute piece of junk. Knobs falling off, the large oven knob broke off at the stem, the small oven only operates at one temperature, 630 deg. F. (Per the repairman digital tester), just incinerating the first few things we tried to bake.

We have been trying to get this repaired for four months and Keep getting jerked around by both Thor and Jetsons. I finally had the money to replace the $100 craigslist oven that we’ve had for the last ten years, and after spending $5,000 on this Thor I regret putting the old stove on the curb.

This package made my kitchen go from attractive to stunning. The delivery time was shorter than expected, and the appliances arrived in perfect condition. I purchased this for my client on a recent remodel. One burner does not light and another is difficult to light. Zline offered to send a repair technician out free of charge approximately 4 months ago.

I just found out from my client that a technician still has not repaired the unit. From now on, I will not be recommending Zline products for my clients and if they choose this product I will caution them against the choice and share my experience.

This amazing rangetop was in our new home and it is the most professional and luxurious cooking experience of any we have had. Having 6 burners is great and we enjoy the wok option. It is also easy to clean any spills; looks like new after cleaning.

Be mindful that the sides of the cooktop sit on top of a small piece of countertop – the pictures here make it look like it’s a standalone and that the countertop just meets the cooktop.

Bought about 2 months ago; everything works well. Only complaint is regarding the griddle. I was really excited about the griddle but there are two minor issues. First, it doesn’t heat evenly, hotter in the middle than the back/front.

Also, there is a seam where the “walls” meet the cooking surface. The seam catches food and makes clean up a bit more of a pain. Otherwise, the burners are great, looks good (just huge).

Looks good but for spending nearly $20k I expect perfect quality and customer support. Took 9 months to get “a” range then it was broken. Original range purchase was July 2021, then a series of delays and multiple exchanges, finally got the broken one in May, the replacement range arrived in June.

That one was fine. The range came with a crooked door, then they sent a service rep who said it had to be replaced. Viking provided a credit for an exchange to Best Buy but they put it all back on the customer to ensure it gets exchanged then Best Buy threatens you that if you don’t exchange it in 30 days you won’t be able to exchange it at all.

for spending nearly $20k on a single appliance this should not be how a customer is treated. Performance wise, it takes longer to cook things in the oven than our previous GE. Roller bearing oven racks are nice.

Range top is pretty solid, lots of flame potential but also can reduce it very low. The spill protection is a nice feature as well as having the burners elevated. A timer would be a nice feature to add to this, it is pretty simple, on or off for the oven.

Backlighting on the knobs are also a great feature. To install against a wall you need to have the heat shield, $600 for the short one, $1200 for the tall one with a shelf, short one worked very good but Best Buy could not get it for some reason.

My sales person at the Best Buy store was extremely good and helpful, its the overall experience with Best Buy customer service and Vikings quality issues and lack of availability of the product that soured me on this particular range.

Great Stove. A real reliable cooking machine. When delivered there were 2 problems. The front right and left burners would now ignite properly. A technician that Best Buy sent discovered that the igniters were not assembled properly at the factory.

The racks in the oven are on roller bearings! Makes moving the racks so easy.

So far so good but when we received it the oven did not work. We asked for a new one but the delivery would be minimum 45 months due to the supply chain situation. We waited almost 4 weeks for a repairman to come out but he easily fixed it and adjusted our burners and explained that the height of the range was incorrect.

The stovetop is great but not enough experience with the oven to give a review for that. It does take a long time to heat up. A really long time.

We ordered this range 8 months ago. It arrived a month ago and was promptly installed. Immediately we noted the “Everyday Oven” light was dysfunctional. It would work fine when the door was open but not when the oven light button was pressed.

We contacted the dealer and after two “investigatory” trips to our home, it was determined the main control for the smaller oven was defective. After a third trip from the repair people and replacement of the board, the same problem exists and so far, no remedy for the issue.

Both ovens burn the bottom of our food in all different pans, from pizza to baked goods to cookies. Everything burns the bottom of the food while the top remains normal baking quality. This is on every shelf in the oven.

We have the counter depth fridge from this same series. It is obnoxiously loud when the compressor kicks on. These were not our expectations when ordering supposed “high end” appliances for our kitchen remodel.

When paying 5 figures money for an appliance, we expected at least normal function if not an exceptional experience. We received neither.

The range itself is gorgeous in my kitchen. I received this model as a replacement for the older version which they could not repair. I’ve only had the range a few months and the large oven shuts down after about 30 minutes.

Also the airfry feature requires an app which is complicated to connect and then does not work. They should never advertise an air fry feature since it’s not useable. Customer service has been excellent even though I have issues.

I’m currently waiting for the oven repair. If it works then I will change my rating. (Jan 2022).

Writing this review in the hopes of saving others some time and headaches. This range is beautiful, but do not be fooled by its beauty. The range itself does what a range should do (cook food). However, there are some major flaws that the buyer should be aware of prior to purchasing.

First, the oven thermostat DOES NOT WORK. It is off by at least 25 degrees. Bertazzoni themselves are aware of this issue, and their solution is to replace it with one that reads High, Low, Medium. If you are wanting a stove that cooks food within a reliable degree range, DO NOT BUY THIS RANGE.

If you want to know if your oven is hot, or really hot – this is the range for you. Second, it blows EXCESSIVE heat throughout your house while in operation. You cannot use the oven in the summer unless you want your house to be heated up an additional 5 degree centigrade.

Would be great to heat your home in the winter if you lack a furnace or if you wish to do hot yoga while dinner is cooking. My biggest issue with the range is Bertazzoni’s attitude (replacing it with a bandaid solution and continuing to sell the product) and also with CAS who continues to carry this product knowing that it has these issues.

I have spent the better part of three months trying to find a solution to this issue. Do yourself a favour, stay far, far away from this brand.

I use this for every day cooking. My biggest criticism is that it is TOO hot and you cannot simmer. I make Italian sauce which needs be covered and to simmer for 2+ hours. It simmers too hot and burns the bottom without constant stirring which is bad for making sauce.

Also, this stainless steel is very soft and cleaning is not as it should be even with a soft damp cloth on the stovetop. As for the over, you cannot put anything on the bottom for dripping. It’s very hard to clean.

I am so very disappointed in this purchase.

Looks very high end and functions well so far. My only complaint/pet peeve is the “Thermometer” right on the front that only reads “Preheat”, “Medium”, and “Hot”. no actual temperature measurement despite there being dozens of tick marks.

It comes across as cheap and makes everyone that has seen it ask “why bother?” My guess is they don’t want customers to see the actual temperature inside the oven being +-25 degrees off from the setting, but if you pop in an oven thermometer like most people you’ll notice it anyway.

So again, why bother?.

I had a lot of concerns about the extra low simmer, and it isn’t true that all burners can achieve it. the spiral burner no way. and each of the other 3 btu output burners have widely different low out levels.

the simmer on the 2 lower output burners does a good job, the 2 high output burners are only ok but only for a very large pot, and the dual ring is either the HIGHEST OUTPUT or on low the LOWEST output – so I find I’m moving pots around.

The spiral ‘wok’ burner works well with a wok or other pots and does not have low simmer. Overall, this is a terrific cooktop with lots of flexibility and features and is a good match with my other Cafe appliances.

I have only used this daily for a month. The appliance is wonderful, it has 4 different types of burners (2x medium, 2 large, 1 spiral burner, 1 double burner). We love utilizing our double burner! It works great for woks and sautéed food.

All the burners are fast and elegantly designed. Our only issue is that there is no small grate to put our Moka Pot! We love our coffee and we love our moka pot but we aren’t able to make it over this gas range.

I would still recommend getting this – unless you use a moka pot.

This is a quality cooktop, but at a reasonable price. The six burners are all great and varied for different applications and they are powerful. The construction is solid, the knobs have a smooth feel, the grates are appropriately heavy.

The only flaw, which kept me from giving it 5 stars is that the griddle is not detachable for cleaning in the sink (which it should be) which makes it harder to keep clean.

I bought this to replace an excellent Kitchenaid commercial style range that was no longer repairable due to its age and lack of parts (probably over 20 years old). My initial appliance and the new replacement are both damaged.

The first one had such a big dent on the side, that stuck out more than one inch, that it could not be installed and slid into the cutout. Then I had to have a 4 prong outlet installed, so the second attempt to install was a fail, and the electrician had to come.

Now, on the third attempt, the bracket the holds the oven racks in on the side of the oven came unwelded and are loose. Thus, it cannot hold the bottom oven rack. The back of the oven is completely flat rather than recessed, and my gas valve doesn’t allow it to slide in fully.

it’s rather deep and sticks out pretty far, so be warned if you have an older house with shallow counters. I have noticed how it sticks out in some of the review images. Now I need to call the gas guy and GE to see if this is salvageable.

I tried cooking with it for the first time tonight. the burners are awesome! I love the cooktop design and high power, great for getting the water boiling. The oven seems a little poorer quality than my previous kitchenaid, design flaw with these rack brackets, also smaller than the kitchenaid, gets very hot on the side walls, so not as well insulated perhaps as the Kitchenaid.

Seems to cook the food nicely and fast! Reheated some meatballs and made lava cakes and both were cooked effectively and efficiently. I am looking forward to trying the smart features and air fry option.

The controls are intuitive and sleek, and it is very easy to use. We will see what happens with customer service tomorrow.

So we waited almost 8 months for this range to arrive. We were very excited to finally receive it. Once it was in the garage our gas technican was converting it to LP when we discovered several surprising and concerning issues.

First, once we removed the back access cover to start the LP conversion we discovered only one gas regulator. The conversion instructions indicated there were “two”. I reached out to GE and their engineers responded that there is only one regulator on the 36″ model and they would update the instruction manual.

Second, while we had the back access panel off we discovered over half of the 1/4″ drive screws that basically hold this unit together were half way driven in. Many that supported the gas lines on the back of the unit were barely even threaded in.

We spent a good hour going over the unit and tightening the loose screws. Several even fell out of the bottom of the unit when we moved it off the pallet. Third, when the gas tech went to install the gas line the shut off valve under the unit fell off in his hand.

It was missing the retaining screw entirely. GREAT JOB GE for a gas line!!! Fourth, the instruction manual indicated to lift the back of the unit off the pallet and remove the toe kick piece from its shipping location prior to moving the unit off the pallet.

To our surprise, there was no toe kick present on the pallet. Upon asking GE about this they indicated that no toe kick is shipped with this unit. So we pay, $7,000 for a high end range and you can’t include a toe kick, but you can print it in the instructions.

So we had to shell out $157 for a matching toe kick. We outfitted our entire kitchen with GE Cafe products. All the other units have arrived fine, except for this one. The quality of this product and the quality control of the manufacturing process ranks up there with some cheap unit you would purchase at Wal Mart or a second hand appliance store.

I would not and will not recommend this unit to anyone.

After a long wait (understandably with the new “covid” times) we were excited to get the 36” range. Then I had to convert to LP. No problem – a few orifice changes and a flip of the regulators (so I thought).

Following the instruction to a “T” I spent my first first 5 minutes flipping the cooktop regulator and then the entire rest of the day looking for the oven regulator. Come to find out, the instruction diagram is for the 48” range and there is only one regulator on the 36”.

Very frustrating – With how expensive these are, is it so hard to create a separate manual for each model??? On day 2 of the conversion, I had ease with most of the orifices, however the threading on the one burner was messed up so I had to go out and buy more tools to thread tap it clean.

Then finally on my last orifice, I find that it is over tightened and when I went to use the 7mm wrench as instructed, it instantly stripped the soft brass orifice so bad that now I’m stuck trying to find a way to jerry-rig it off without damaging any of the burner.

If it weren’t for the long wait on products right now due to Covid and the hole it burned in my pocket, I’d have thrown this thing in the river in my back yard. I am determined to get this last orifice off so that the conversion can be complete, and my wife and I can finally use it, but if your factory doesn’t put attention to detail around the installation of the orifices then you should start selling some from the factory that are already LP ready.
