20 Best 5 Hour Energy Flavor (2022 Updated)

My husband and I don’t drink coffee! We actually have an addiction. Where some people might have an everyday Starbucks addiction, this one has become ours. Every day we wake up, there is a conveniently packaged, fast-acting, long lasting and sustainable energy source that is cheaper than a Starbucks sitting on our night stands.

The rest of the day we drink water. It provides enough energy to get through the day and gradually fades in the evening. No crash!.

I personally had a reaction to the extra strength version of 5 hour. I broke out in a really bad itch for two days. I thought it might be what caused it so after I recovered I tried the 5 hour again and the same thing happened.

Obviously it is something within my system that is causing as I do not have same reaction to original version of 5 hour. The taste of grape is much better than berry.

5-Hour Energy Extra Strength (Grape) is one of the worst products i have ever personally had. The taste is awful and the aftertaste omg don’t get me started on that. It says grape flavored but taste absolutely nothing like grape anything!! Plus it doesn’t work nearly as good as monster energy.

But hey that’s just my lone personal opinion. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself!.

I’m sadly dependent on one of these every morning. like I freaked out the one morning I didn’t have them stocked & now I keep a full extra pack in rotation ha! the taste isn’t bad, but after drinking them so long, I think it’s a mental thing.

I hold my nose, take a big swig, drink whatever I have for breakfast, swallow it & then release my nose (so I don’t taste it). I repeat this until it’s all gone, & in a matter of like 60 seconds, I’m buzzing around with crunk in my system! I started out drinking one green tea 5-hr energy shot & I’ve been drinking one of these instead each morning for probably a year or more.

No crash, no jittery feeling (I can’t do coffee – it makes me anxious & jittery w/ a bad stomach). I like this much much much better!.

I’ve been drinking the 5hr energy shots for over a decade. More like 15yrs, and they are still the best for energy from any drink out there. But THIS flavor is actually really good, when most of them have a sweet bitter taste afterwards , this one is just perfect.

It is by far the best flavor extra strength made!!!!.

Having tasted and experienced the results of “energy drinks” in larger containers, I was skeptical, to say the least. In less than 30 minutes we were back on the road into the same blazing sun. Yeah, my eyes were still straining from the glare, however, my fatigue was gone and two hours later there was no hard crash that one experiences from sugar-laced soft drinks or their energy drink substitutes.

It does exactly what it says and that’s give you energy. This little bottle has punch to it, it’s been a while since I used it but the last time I did a friend recommended it after me not being able to sleep.

I took half the bottle in the morning and I felt better, had the energy to get stuff done around the house. It’s like a cup of coffee with no crappy crash. My sons father is swears by it and he works out and follows a strict diet.

I always know that if I need it that it will help me. I didn’t have any problems with the amount I took but I would consult a dr if your thinking of trying it. I wouldn’t take it if I had any medical problems I always stress talk to your dr.

Okay, so I have used 5-hour energy on and off through the years, most frequently 3x/week when working graveyard shifts as a cashier. Is it effective? Darn tootin’!!!! I would trust it over the off-brand versions you see at Aldi, and it’s not something I think will cause cancer necessarily, so like, that’s a plus.

That being said, it’s heavy-duty. The niacin flush is enough to rip through a 300-pound gorilla. Be prepared to sit down upon consuming this beverage, and by all means do not mix it with any other caffeine or try to use it to write a research paper in one night.

I used to drink these all the time! But lookout!!! I would have half of it at one sitting and then drink the other half after a few hours. One day, I decided to drink the whole shot to get more energy quickly and, boy, do I regret it.

Caffeine really effects me and I felt like I was BEYOND wired, like I was gonna shake right out of my skin, and my heart was beating so fast that it threw me into a mild panic attack. Ever since that happened I’ve been to nervous to drink them at all.

I love energy drinks. I lived on them when I was at work. Now I’ll take them for an extra kick to my energy as well as vitamins. 5hour energy drinks have the most benefits. It has different vitamins bs among a while Araya of others.

I work 12hr days and I get these before work, I will drink it on my first break to enable me to make it through most of the day. I love sour apple and the grape flavor. I usually get extra strength if available.

They really pick me up. And the price is reasonable.

It quenches your thirst and water sucks lol. This gives the energy you need. It’s in the label how awesome it is. A shot is all you need.

Due to me not drinking coffee or tea or doing anything that gives me energy and taking medication that makes me tired half way through the day sometimes you just need a extra boost in your day. *** as long as it’s safe to do so and ok with you dr so please double check first.

Also be careful if you have a heart condition. Which I do but I’m cautious and know to be aware of my heart rate after I drink. The flavour is great and it definitely does what it’s supposed to do. I used to use this many years ago when I worked night shift in the oilfield and I would say it lasted for about 3-4 hours and it’s still the same to this day.

It really gives me lots of additional energy when I need it. Love the new flavor. Only wish is it was made without sweeteners (sucralose in this case). Even sugar would be better than an artificial sweetener.

This is great for hiking and backpacking. Did they ever consider making it in powder form? Would be so much lighter and use up less plastic.

It may give you energy but it only last so long. Is not a safe way to give you energy. Caffeine would be much safer! I have known people who have ended up in the ER because of seizures that resulted in drinking energy drinks! 😇.

I purchased this item for my son, currently working in construction. He loved the taste and the energy boost didn’t come with the typical crash he experiences from other energy drinks.

This still has the medicine taste that the original ones have. It’s like tasting a nasty grape medicine instead of an energy drink. However it’s so worth it because it delivers super amounts of energy without the nasty crash that usually follows moat energy drinks.

If u can stand the taste it’s worth it if my opinion.

The trick is to not let it touch the front or sides of your tongue. I try to poor the whole thing straight down my throat if possible. Why? Because it tastes horrible, but it works. I highly recommend it.

I have tried many different energy drinks. This one is definitely a 5 out of 5 in the energy department, and sure yummy. This really shines in the taste department. I’m kind of addicted to the flavor.

I could drink these all day, you feel pretty light after drinking them, whereas some of the other energy drinks are a bit heavier on the stomach. I was up for hours, maybe drink only one.

I’ve been taking these shots for many years now so I can attest to the fact that when it comes to simply keeping you awake all night and throughout the day. It’s literally like taking multiple shots of espresso! You will be wired…!!! So fair warning, you’re taking what amounts to a huge cup of coffee, along-side some other ingredients to keep you up, just know what you’re getting into.

I find 5-hour energy to be very effective when I have a late night of studying or in the morning after I’ve had a late night partying. It really helps me stay awake. However what they’re not effective for is working out, and I’ve tried this, and it simply doesn’t compare to a traditional pre-workout.

Okay, so I gave this 3/5 stars simply because I’m not a huge fan of orange flavor. It’s just seriously not for me. I guess it tasted like an orange creamsicle or maybe an orange float. Despite the flavor, these do work.

I had one before I went to go watch a movie and I stayed awake the whole movie and then some. I like that it’s just a quick shot. Very unique product. Price point is okay, depends where you are buying it from.

But overall, great product.

I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could! I have tried EVERYTHING to find some “get up and go” when I start my day at 6AM – this is the only thing that has ever worked! A great test was 2 days ago, hot and humid here in NJ – I woke up SO GROGGY, but the Extra Strength 5 Hour Energy drink had me alert and ready to go in just 5 minutes! It truly DOES kick in fast, but also gently, and there is absolutely no “let down” by the time I’m ready for lunch at 11:30.

I truly feel better all day long, and the best part is that it doesn’t bother my delicate GI tract at all like other supplements have – I’ve had cancer and radiation treatments and was a little afraid what “this one might do” – but there were no unpleasant reactions AT ALL! The other thing about it, is that I am not ravenously hungry anymore, trying to find energy from food, especially sugar – so I’m also losing weight, which was always frustrated by simple dieting and the resulting hypoglycemia and lethargy.

This is an all-around GREAT product.

You should get very frequent doctor check-ups, when using this, and a lot of other energy products. While this product did give me a lot of energy, I did get irregular heart beat, when using this product and another one at the same time.

I stopped using both products two years ago and no longer have this problem.

This Peach Mango is the best flavor so far. We have tried all of them over the years and we are really impressed with this one. So smooth and incredible true fruit flavor.
