I have the 18v set from years ok that still functions great and got this set for a secondary residence that constanty needs Reno’s, these are very reliable and good quality tools. Have since added many pieces but the versatility of the drill driver especially is awesome, lightweight but powerful and battery really lasts.

Excellent tool kit. Have used all t he tools in the kit, including the flashlight. The drills are powerful enough for all my usese and the circular saw does a lot of work on the 4 amp\hour battery. Recharge time is quick too.

Love the reciprocating saw. Lots of power.

All these tool work great! Keep in mind this is the smaller circular saw and is not going to cut as deep as the bigger one and the motor is smaller but at the price of $298 this is all great! Buy extra batteries the 4x is what you NEED for the saw and grinder!.

This is the fourth Gerber 400 series multitool I’ve had. The first, had a blunt nosed plier that was lost on a hike when the velcro affixed flap came loose during a hike. I bought a second one with a needle nosed plier that was replaced by Gerber when a sliding spring lock failed.

I lost the replacement when I set this down during a trail maintenance session. Since I’ve never found a full multitool with the balance of weight to function ratio as this series I didn’t hesitate to repurchase this one at a reasonable pricepoint.

The only flaw I found in this particular unit was that the fingernail nick for the knife was on the inner surface of the blade. Thiis makes using the knife a bit harder but I guess I can “dremel” another nick on the correct side.

No lie, no exaggeration – I have scarcely left home without this tool for the better part of twenty years because it is that useful and dependable. Nearly every individual tool on this platform sees use on a weekly basis, if not more frequently – all have seen use from time to time.

After almost two decades, there are only moderate signs of wear besides a busted flathead screwdriver that failed when I misused it in a foolish prying attempt a few years ago. Mine has the older drop point blade that still holds a fine hone as well or better than any knife I’ve ever had.

The scissors are still sharp and spring open perfectly, ready to take on fishing line or fingernails or rose stems. The way the handles are forged makes a much more comfortable grip than a Leatherman, providing sturdy leverage without pain and plenty to squeeze when you really need to pinch down on the needle nose.

I can’t even begin to imagine how many wires I’ve cut or screws I’ve turned or beer bottles I’ve opened with this thing, but I can attest to the safety of the tool locks and the reaction other folks have when you produce a hunk of grey metal that becomes a magical fixall at the flick of the wrist.

That slide and click sound is still satisfying after all these years, like the ‘snikt’ of Wolverine popping his claws. Honestly, I’ve been patiently waiting for something else to go wrong with it so I could justify upgrading to the Diesel, but it just won’t quit.

So, it was high time that I take a minute to say something nice about this endlessly handy, incredibly versatile American made product. I highly recommend this multi-tool to anyone in the market for one.

I have three and prefer this to any Leatherman I’ve ever owned. I carry one at work, one in truck and one in tackle box but use my work one daily. Been using for 6 years and all tools are still tight and lock properly.

Pliers are the only true one handed tool but I use multiple times daily. Very easy to unlock and slide open one handed in a single move and have not once had it open unintentionally. Knife is really sharp and strong steel easy to sharpen.

Have owned this Leatherman Signal multitool for several months now and have truly been enjoying using it. I initially had second thoughts as to whether this was the right multitool for me (given the many Leatherman choices there are available nowadays) as I do a lot of home DIY’s and maintenances, but decided on this particular multitool as I do enjoy the occasional camping trip and thought the extra tools (eg fire starter, awl and whistle) could come in handy.

This has been an asset of a purchase as having this tool on me has greatly improved my productivity with the DIY’s and property maintenance – no longer do I have to double back to my work ute to get a screwdriver, a pair of pliers, or fossick about for a work knife when I need to open packaging as its all available in this one tool.

What’s more, I did not think I would find the in-built hammer handy, but wow – as I read somewhere, you never knew you needed a pocket hammer until you actually have a pocket hammer! I picked up a splinter whilst working with wood without work gloves and boom, I removed the splinters in 2 seconds with the needle nose pliers on this tool (remember kids; use them work gloves to avoid wood splinters).

I was hanging out with some mates when we were having a couple of coldies and surprisingly none of the chumps thought to bring a bottle opener (or bottles with twist-off caps) and poof I instantly became the coolest dude with the bottle opener in-built on this tool.

Another plus for this tool is that it has a carabiner clip as well which makes it so much easier to clip onto the belt buckle or bag for hiking. The only minus I have for this tool is the weight as I hear some people find this multitool heavier than standard multitools (I would not know really since this is my one and only multitool so far and the weight has not been an issue for me).

Overall, really pleased with the purchase of this multitool and really wished I had gotten it sooner!.

Made from really excellent materials it should be a long-lasting tool, but has a few drawbacks. The pliers are not sprung, which defeats the object of rounding off and smoothing the outside edges to save your hands, as you have to scrape the outside of your fingers to keep re-opening the pliers whilst in use.

They’re quite stiff, so even after a short time of pushing them back open left the tops of my fingers sore. The demonstrated “one hand” opening is a bit of a stretch too, I can just about open the knife blade because it protrudes slightly further out than the rest.

which you’ll notice when it scrapes the backs of your fingers when re-opening those pliers. The wire stripper, (something I was looking forward to having), is completely useless, a wasted space there that could have been utilized for a working tool.

As to access, I liked that the design claimed you could access all the tools from the outside and they were held in place by magnets – but they’re not, only one magnetic part on this and it’s to keep the pliers closed.

Can’t see the point of this, they’re stiff enough to stay together anyway. As to accessing the inner tools, you can’t, you have to open all the outside tools first, which means you’re perilously close to the opened blades whilst you’re fiddling out the inner tools.

This order came with a free sharpening stone and oil pot. Kinda surprised at this too, I mean who uses oil stones these days? Used to use them a lot about 40 years ago but water stones or Diamond are far superior and the grits on the supplied stone are way too coarse to get a decent polished edge.

The “engraving” on the blade is not, strictly speaking, actually engraving, it’s laser etching. Overall. it’s okay. but I was expecting to be blown away by a famous Leatherman and quite frankly, I’m not.

and I can’t return it either because I had it engraved. I suggest you only buy one of these once you’ve handled it in person, never put your trust in a maker’s name. wooddragon45.

On the plus side, the Bond’s tools are of great quality. It’s compact, light and probably UK legal, making a great pocket carry if you have the pocket clip. The simple sheath and large lanyard loop are great for watersports.

Unfortunately the body of the Bond is low quality and poorly engineered, compared to other Leatherman models. All the bolts on mine have been overtightened so much that it was virtually unusable out of the box.

Oiling and working the joints helps a bit, but it’s very hard to open and close the pliers and most of the tools. There is play in the plier handles when they’re closed. Feels like it’s going to bend or break when using it as a screwdriver with the plier handles closed.

How the pliers manage to be wobbly and overly stiff at the same time is beyond me. When using the pliers, the exposed edge of the file forms part of the handle, but it’s sharp and rough against your hand.

The file has a nail slot to pull it out with, but this is completely unnecessary and just limits the usability of the file. I realise that this is a “cheap” Leatherman, but I’d rather pay a bit more for a UK legal carry multitool with the same amazing quality as my Charge Plus.

My PST is 30 years old and has none of the above problems.

Got this to replace it’s predecessor. The replacement of the saw blade is an excellent step. The replacement saw is actually a carbide edged jigsaw blade – uses one of the two types of blade commonly found in your DIY.

So if the blade breaks, you cna go to Screwfix / Toolstation / Wickes / B&Y / etc, and buy a new pack of 3 or 5, or whatever. You can also replace the blade with a wood or normal metal cutting blade if you prefer.

The wire cutter jaws use a 3 sided indexable inset on each side. I’m not familiar with modern machine centre replaceable tip tooling, but there is a good chance the inserts are common off-the-shelf there too (but you won’t get those from the local DIY!!!).

Not looked to see if spares are readily available. Either way, absolutely excellent revisions to a benchmark design. Hope this lasts 20+ years before I loose it!.

Great quality and a very handy tool! I bought this to replace a Gerber multi tool my wife bought me over 20 years ago. I carried it at work and used it virtually every day. And on more than a few occasions I’d be working around the house, reach for it and it wasn’t on my belt.

The new one is basically the same tool as my first one, only updated and improved to include the locking slide to lock the various tools in place and replaceable wire cutter blades. My old one still works great, but the knife blade broke off awhile back.

I contacted Gerber about getting it repaired and was told that due to the age of the tool, they would probably replace the entire tool. Well, due to it’s sentimental value (corny, I know!!), I didn’t want to do that.

So I just got a new one and will keep my old one and put it in my motorcycle tool kit. This makes the fifth Gerber multi tool &/or knife that I own and the quality is always excellent. I highly recommend any tool or knife with the Gerber name on it.

And no, I don’t work for Gerber.

I chose models that I could confirm are made in USA. They are of good quality. Material and workmanship seem to be top notch for the tool that it is. Some people expect too much. Your not building bridges with it.

Multitude of uses, and if not abused, should last a lifetime or more.

When I first got this multi-tool in the mail I was very excited I opened it up and had that new smell which I loved. 🙂 I realize that this tool was very stiff out of the box but with some oil and time I managed to get all the parts smooth opening.

The only thing I didn’t like about this multi-tool is that the saw blade teeth were not pointy. I had to “reshape” the teeth to make them pointy and sharpen the saw. The saw blade worked as intended.

Besides all that I am very happy with this multi-tool. One of of my favorites from gerber ! :).

Just note- this tool does not fold. The pliers slide in and out. The implements can only be deployed with pliers in the up position, and then they open from the inside. Ive used Gerber exclusively for over 10yrs and prefer them over Leatherman, mainly because you can access the implements from the outside.

Having to open the entire tool to use a knife is awkward and unnecessary. The tool seems to be solid, looks great and has solid accessories. Were it not for the Gerber name I’d be convinced it was just another aggravating Leatherman though, having to go through a maze to simply reach an implement.

Exactly as expected, shipped promptly, great product. My only concern is that the tool is a bit stiff and takes more effort to deploy compared to my old one. I guess I will have to use it a bit more so it loosen up.

Trust me I completely understand everyone who gives it one star for not being magnetic. I’m a huge magnetic type of guy. But I promise you, give this tool a try for a couple months they guarantee you all the greatness that is compacted into one bit, will far outweigh the magnetic benefit.

I also guarantee you this, we love magnetic tips because we have gotten used to them and have become reliant on magnetism, however go without the magnetic ability for a month or so and it will be exactly the same.

You would actually be a better electrician or construction worker. You will become just as good without the magnet that you were with the magnet. If you are an electrician, this tool is a no brainer.

Unless you are an apprentice or don’t understand the value of having a 916s, and they 516s, and they good solid small flat head bit that gets almost any screw including the ones with paint over them, you are an AMATEUR if you think different.

I bought this over a year ago and have used it countless times, the 9/16 deep thin wall socket is great for unistrut and you never need to look for the socket adapter for an impact since its welded together.

As well as a 1/4″ and 5/16″ hex when you remover either the philips bit from the 1/4″ bit side or the 2-in-1 flat head and SQ#2 Bit from the 5/16″ side. This tool is definitley handy!.

I used one of these for four years and it saved me so much time. Unfortunately it’s not available anywhere! I would buy a dozen of them if I could find them in stock somewhere.

After much debate on which brand to lay my hat on for years I went with the Fuel system from Milwaukee. Opening the box, I had to order them online due to no availability near me, I found one of the tools with a broken trigger.

After talking to Home Depot it was decided to send the tool in for warranty. It took Milwaukee almost two weeks to reply to my initial two inquiries. A few days in the impact driver begins to stall while driving screws.

Initially I suspected it was a battery, all new, due to one not initially taking a charge. The charger kept showing the battery as bad but it did charge eventually after multiple attempts. Switching batteries a few times and the problem continues.

Less than a week and I have two tools in for warranty. So far, two weeks in, the remainder of the tools seem to be holding up. I have lost confidence in them some but fingers crossed.

I have 5 of these kits, I buy these for my crew. They are by far the best of all the brands, because I’ve tried them all. I buy a lot of tools and these just keep going on and on. Milwaukee Brushless are the toughest tools on the market and this kit is exactly what my guys need, with a couple of extra batteries.

If your running yellow brand you need to change to these. I used to run the yellow brand, and most tools were good but it seemed the recip saw and the drills were just crap. My guys beat theses things up drop them in the water drop them from roof’s and are just hard on my tools these keep ticking and ticking.

I’ll never buy another brand M18v Milwaukee Brushless, the 2804 drill is the best cordless drill on the market.

I bought this this last summer, and i an a new homeowner. I had a cheaper set of a different brand. I was highly upset with that brand as i was attempting to install a yoga swing and stripper Pole in my room for my wife and I, the drill I had couldn’t even put the screw into the stud in the ceiling.

Searched long and hard and debated Milwaukee versus the dewalt. I’m sure dewalt is good [and cheaper] but with Milwaukee I have a better warranty And a lot of power! It has been great and most things have not stood in my way from drilling through them besides concrete.

But even then I just have to put a little more elbow grease in it. Great tools set with most things I need.

I received this as a gift to replace my Freud which had failed. After only a few jobs (3 or 4) the power switch failed. The tool has a great 3 yr warranty, but I do not have a receipt and you have to pay for shipping and I needed the tool asap.

So, I took it apart to see what the problem is. The switch is connected from the front to the back of the tool with a nylon strap. The strap is pegged is to the switch with two plastic pins. It can easily become dislodged with a moderate bump in the right direction.

Got it working again, but think I will disassemble it again and glue that strap to the switch to avoid future interruptions in my work.

I bought this tool approximately 6 months ago, and have used it frequently. It is solid and works great, as expected from a Dremel product. The tool deserves a 5 star rating. That said, there is a concern though.

The attachments that are designed for the other MM series tools, such as the MM35 for example, are not compatible with this tool. The hole configuration is different from any other such tool that I have seen, and I have had a lot of difficulty finding compatible blades.

Overall, I would rate the tool itself as 5 star, however, the difficulty finding compatible attachments would rate a 1 star. The 2 combined are the reason for the 3 star rating.

The tool deserves a better rating than this, but the locking mechanism is totally hopeless. Any vibration when cutting (and an oscillating tool is going to vibrate) and the lock screw spins loose, and because the knob is vibrating, you can’t tighten it without shutting off the tool.

I also don’t like that the dremel won’t take non-dremel accessories. Other tools will, but I could work with that it I wasn’t worried that the cutting blade will be spit out at me while I’m in a cut.

Disappointing purchase. I may still try to return it, depending on the HomeDepot return policy.

The single speed switch & the motor speed is too fast. Heat builds up to fast between the attached finger sanding disc & the metal plate, the rubber cushion & the velcro. The heat allows for the rubber to warm up & get too soft to an almost melting point.

At that point the velcro attached to the rubber starts to disintegrate. Thus the finger sanding disc starts turning directions. Changing sanding pads after that point has less adherence area. My mistake for purchasing this product because of price.

I will in the near future invest in a similar product with a variable speed switch, & hopefully better overall components which will allow for a more functional tool.

After 8 to 10 minutes it gets so hot you can no longer hold it. It will not cool enough to use again if the temp outside is over 85%. You must take it inside and place it in front the AC. This is my second one, so it’s not just mine doing it.

Also, the higher end brands that are four times the price vibrate about half as much causing much less wear on your hands and wrist. If you run this tool more than 30 minutes straight it will burn up, they all do.

Most people never run them this long so not a real issue. Do NOT use the blades that HF sells. Get your blades from Home Depot, they cut twice as fast and last 10X longer. With that being said, it’s probably worth twice what they are asking.

Very decent and gets the job done.

I purchased this tool one week ago, and it was discounted on a Harbor Freight Parking Lot sale closeout. The utility tool came in handy when I had some odd plaster-lap/wood/ and sheetrock crumbling bits exposed from an exterior door replacement.

If I was going to use a utility tool daily, I would definitely get a Lithium Ion one, like the Bauer model at Harb Freight. However, This little gadget was the perfect go to for me for one project, and I will probably use it again, but not for a while.

The corded device is massively cheaper, than Li-I options, but not as convenient. Altogether, you can’t beat this value though, so I am highly satisfied with my purchase.

Great tool for the right price. Does what it is supposed to do. Adapter lets you use universal and other attachments.

I have used one of these tools in the past and needed one for a project that I was doing for a friend. It work extremely well and the price I paid for it was very reasonable. The tool is well built and should last me for a very long time.

For Industrial I would spend more for milwaukee, like the $20 grinders 4inch, cheap is ok but recommend repack head gears with grease before use, as they usually have zero grease and wears them out fast.

especially for shipfitting. I was shipyard electrics for 30+ years so know alot about hand power tools.

Combo kit is a gift for my son and daughter-in-law as a DIY starter set. Excellent value and brand with common batteries which allows for future gift opportunities to upgrade to longer lasting batteries.

Great starter set for any family buying a new home.

Very comfortable to work with. Plenty of power with smaller battery. The larger one is a beast! Tools work well.

Bought this kit for my husband for his birthday (as he requested) and he’s been loving the tools! Good quality, efficient, and a great buy!

Do not know how I have been able to do any home projects before!!! This toll is INCREDIBLE! It is powerful, easy to use, and has a million uses!!! Going with the corded version is the way to go. Huge bang for your buck!!! I would buy three more if I had to.

changing attachments is easier then tying your shoe laces.

This Dremel tool was used while working on an engine upgrade where new parts were being installed in very tight clearances inside the engine compartment. It cut through tough plastic brackets and steel braces with relative ease.

The only small complaint I have is getting the blades mounted on the tool correctly; until I figured it out I was puzzled. This is a very versatile and quality tool. I’m glad I bought it.

I first purchased the Flex Jobsite Radio and straight out of the box I loved it. However, after about a month of daily use, the radio started skipping when connected via both Bluetooth and aux cord. So I gave flex a call.

Rather than an automated system, a real human being helped me out, and within seconds of me saying I was having connection issues with my radio, they were getting a replacement radio sent out to me. The person on the line then let me know that I STILL have a lifetime warranty on my radio.

Wow. I had to jump through no hoops and a new radio is on the way. The next day after that phone call I stopped at lowes and bought another battery, the oscillating multi tool, and the 1. 6 gallon shop vac.

Im absolutely loving all their products that I have and i have the founders lifetime warranty on all of it, including the batteries! Im super pumped about these new flex tools, as I own a painting company and we are always buying new tools.

The flex 24v 1. 6 gal vacuum is AWESOME for moving around the jobsite with the shoulder strap on, sucking up dust. It’s also great to use in the truck as a car vacuum and in the camper too! Can’t believe it came with all the attachments that it did.

The oscillating tool is solid and powerful. We got the detail sander attachment for it and it’s awesome for sanding in the grooves of cabinets and what not, especially with the power settings! I’m looking forward to buying the work lights next.

Im hoping that they come out with a drywall sander!.

I’ve been working as a finish carpenter and contractor for over 10 years. I purchased the multi tool kit a couple weeks ago and have been extremely satisfied with it. This has the lowest vibration of any other multi tool I’ve used and I’ve used all of the other competing brands offerings.

The 5 speed modes give you lots of options to cut anything from cedar shims and sheetrock to the some of the hardest woods out there. I have found that I prefer running the tool with a bigger battery as it seems to have better balance that way.

Again, very impressed with this one!.

This tool is very capable and fast. Variable speed allows you to fine tune your cut. I really appreciate the quick release blade apparatus as it takes the grind out of changing blades. It is very easy to control at most cutting angles.

The only con that I can observe is that other brand blades do not have the recessed config to fit this tool. Otherwise I would give this too 5 stars. Overall this tool is great and has features above and beyond what we have had with other oscillating tools in our arsenal.

I’m a superintendent in a residential building in the bronx and require reliable hand power tools. Dewalt is a quality brand but the reciprocating saw didn’t come with a blade second I was under the impression the drill gun was brushless it’s not.

But it does come with 2 batteries and charger witch are compatible with my other dewalt tools so it’s a wash. I will say that the circular saw dose a great job.

This is a very decent set of tools and batteries with charger. You have to supply your own bits and blades but that might be expected.
