20 Best 500 Watt Electric Bike (2022 Updated)

This is by far the best bike I have ever owned. I looked for a long time for a reasonably priced comfortable bike that can handle on and off road rides. I wanted a versatile, comfortable, and stylish bike and this filled all of my demands.

I followed the website for fit and performance and this was the bike that was recommended to me. It is comfortable and feels very solid without being too heavy. Gears are extremely smooth and the suspension makes off road riding a breeze.

I get compliments every time I ride it. I Love it!.

My wife and I ordered new bikes in the middle of summer 2020. As might be expected due to the bike shortage in the midst of the pandemic, we had trouble finding bikes anywhere locally, or alternatively available for direct shipment to us.

We learned that most bike manufacturers do not ship direct To consumers but rather to local dealers for assembly/delivery to the end customer. As such, we initially looked into six three zero bikes because they seemed to have bikes in stock (or at least scheduled to be in stock within a few weeks), and we could get the bikes delivered directly to us.

We got our bikes in August/September. They arrived well packaged and without any in shipment damage (no scratches, dents, dings etc. ). There was some minimal assembly we had to do at home (and we knew this ahead of time, as the self-assembly aspect is plainly stated on six three zero’s website).

The assembly directions were very easy to follow, and all necessary tools were included in the packaging. Essentially, the frame itself and rear wheel assembly come already assembled; and we just needed to (1) install the front wheel/skewer assembly; (2) connect the brake lines (which were already installed integrally on the frame portion) to the front wheel assembly; (3) screw on the fenders and rear rack; (4) and install/adjust the seat post and seat.

The whole process took about 30-45 minutes. Since then, we have been riding our bikes several times a week (both on bike paths and on uneven/potholed streets around town), and they are fantastic! The bikes physically look great.

Mine is all matte black with a light blue strip On the frame just forward of the seat. The matte black has scratched in a few places (due to normal wear and tear and as I expected it would), but a sharpie does a fair job of covering the small scratches.

The Shimano gear shifter has been smooth, with no sticking (although I frankly don’t move out of 4th for the most part). The brakes are right and have not needed any adjustment. The rear rack is also a great standard included feature, and it is compatible with many readily available accessories, including rear baby seats, which I use regularly.

The bike also fits well on a standard trailer-hitch mounted multi-bike car rack. All in all, my wife and I could not be happier with our six three zero bikes, and the ordering experience was absolutely seamless, which given the current pandemic situation was exactly what we needed.

Also, the follow up by the six three zero customer service team, in terms of registering our bikes and purchasing the available warranty, was top notch. I would highly recommend six three zero bikes for anyone looking to get a new, fairly priced, general use bike for recreational/around-town riding.

I saw so many good reviews and was so excited to receive my bike. It came a day late but that wasn’t a big deal. It comes with the major parts assembled, but the rest you will have to figure it out yourself because there was no instructions.

Also it came with not seat post! The reseller is Fox Home Goods LLC, I had contacted them in hopes to get a replacement for the seat post but they only offered a refund, no additional information about the size or where I can get a replacement/one that could fit.

I’ve spent awhile now trying to find out what diameter to get (this is my first bike so I have NO IDEA what im doing). Their responses are also slow. I was very excited and was disappointed. I’d say the bike itself is probably really nice, but the reseller I bought from was not the best choice.

I was really impressive on how nice of a bike this is. The packaging was great and assembly was very easy. It’s a lot easier to watch the how to videos on youtube then by reading the directions. The bikes power is good.

It seems to work better on pedal assist then on the throttle for power/speed which is good because I am trying to lose weight. My doctor suggested one because of my disability. The walks everyday were not helping.

Just a heads up this bike is huge, I am 6ft 4 with a 36 inch inseam and the bike seems large to me. My wife is 5ft 7 with a 32 in inseam and it’s way to big for her so we are now shopping for an ebike that will fit her.

I originally cancelled this order because I wanted the blue bike not the orange but for some reason it did not get cancelled. I cancelled it 1 hr after I placed the order and the item did not ship for 2 days after that time.

Not sure what happened. The orange bike is beautiful anyway. I did purchase the extended warranty protection and that order did get cancelled yikes I would have been better to order on Amazon from the same seller.

Also the ecotric website was offering 50. 00 off if you sign up for their mailing list. But some of their bikes are sold out and at the time I ordered they were out of stock.

So far so good. We Ordered 2 Ecotric Leopard e bikes on Monday and they arrived on Thursday, very fast delivery. Both bikes came well packed and in good condition, with the exception of the deralier guard, on both of them being bent in, unbent with my hand, I dont think this will protect the deralier.

The rest of the bike seems really well built and solid. The components are low end name brand. The front shock are Suntour they have a twist preload setting and feel smooth and solid. The pedal assist is very smooth and the throttle will get you up to 20 very fast on flat.

Not sure about the range yet, but we did go 17 miles the other day and still had 60% charge left. We have only had the bikes out for a couple of rides, so if anything changes I’ll try to update or add a new review.

First impression is that these are well built quality product, for the price, I paid $809. One of my only complaints so far, is there are no accessory holes on the rear to mount a rack. Quality It looks like the only ones that will fit are the type that attaches to the seat post only.

ordered 1000w hammer. got shipped 750w hammer. company states no 1000w models in stock, and never will be. 750 only one avail now. they were not keen on taking bike back, shipped me fenders for it as compensation.

im 250 lbs. wont do more than 11mph on electric on my steep roads near my house. works ok as far as power goes for my wife(130lbs) she can get it up to 18 on hills 21 on the flats(its unlocked). but bike is huge.

its way to tall for her. neither one of us can ride it with the suspension seat they include. i replaced it with low profile race seat from the 80s i had installed on another bike. build quality is good.

voltmeter says battery fully charged is 53. 7 volts, so about what youd expect from rated 48 volt battery. real world riding, half electric takes me 14 miles acording to lcd screen before down to 1 bar battery on the display, and the bike wont hardly move me by itself.

getting battery on and off bike is a pain, you gotta remove the seat first. shifts well. brakes are ok.

Im kind of disappointed in the all the good reviews on this bike. The reviews are what made me cave into buying it. I thought it would be a lot faster. Its so slow, Im extremely shocked because the reviews say its fast.

My 5 year old thinks its terrible. He has a scooter that is faster. & the bike is so small its insane. Also, the plastic was broken & it may not even be getting a full charge. It makes a weird noise.

Not worth the money. Im actually mad at myself for getting this thing.

I would absolutely warn others make sure you your child is familiar with 2 wheels and power. This bike is every bit of what it says it is. It moves! I bought 3. 1 for me 5′ 4″ 140lbs. 1 for each of my boys.

I bought this for my grandson, who is only 7, but he does great on it. Came assembled except for tightening the handle bars. I charged it and it was ready to go. I would recommend this for anyone who has a child who likes this type of thing.

quality product. But don’t forget a Helmet because it goes.

I ride this bike to and from work about 8 miles round trip. I’m 60yo/ 6′ /250lbs and the battery holds up great. I charge twice a week to be safe. The 5 levels of pedal assist are east to select. My commute is very hilly and I never need to go above touring/level2.

The bike is a very comfortble. I will say I’m glad i dont have to lift it much. It’s a heavy beast. I do love it. Riding is so enjoyable and I still do lots of pedalling and get plenty of exercise. The assist lets me decide how much or how little.

If you want to kick it and get on home it has tons of power on demand. I wished it had Hydraulic brakes. I’ve already experience some cable sag and need to adjust tension frequently. I’m looking into an upgrade on the brakes.

Do not buy this brand , if you willing to buy. I like the design. Looks very good , once the bike has isssue. Then never repaired …. They have authorized repair dealer but the dealer not want to keep their inventory so ….

think about it. … my bike. Send in summer now still in the process. Of repairing. I think. Maybe coming Summer …. A lot of wires. Also brings you a lot of problems. Trust me … they just yet to sell to customers.

Not worthy to buy a $3000 bike , which brings alll stress. I don’t know other state, just in New York … even authorizes. Repair shop, they just sent email each other and it take me 2 month by now, I thought.

It is financial institution … all done by. Emai … if the other part have vacation … oh …. You gotta wait another month …. and. Most important thing is. I bought the bike only one month when I sent to repair shop.

I researched eBikes for 2 years and this is just the best! Comes with everything you need (fenders, rear cargo rack, rear brake light, front head light) all included. Saddle is comfortable as are the hand grips so comfortable I didn’t even wear gloves.

Took it all over Acadia and it rides like a dream. My 65 year old knee no longer is an impediment to biking with my husband. I highly recommend this brand and this bike.

I don’t want to be that guy that leaves a negative review, but i think that if you are a larger rider considering one of these bikes you should read this before purchasing. I’m going to save you the hassle.

I hope someone reads this review from Quietkat and actually does something to change the way these problems are handled. Ive made calls and emails and no one responded. Too busy selling bikes. These are expensive bikes.

probably the most expensive ones on the market. Everyone’s experiences are different, some people may have had not had any issues, mine has been negative/expensive experience all around. I am an avid outdoor person.

I ride mountain bike trails in Indiana every day. They are bunny slopes in comparison to where these bikes are tested in Eagle Colorado. I am a larger rider at 6’8′ 320lbs. I decided that i wanted to add a e-bike to my garage to use on upcoming hunts out west going farther on my mountain biking adventures.

I researched each model made phone calls to the competitors of Quietkat. Rungu and Backou said none of the bikes would work for me and recommended i go to Quitkat due to my size. I called and told the Quietkat salesperson what i was looking for and my size and without hesitation he said Apex 10 is what i needed.

I ordered everything. Vehicle charger, bigger battery, bags, trailer, mounts everything. (Still haven’t gotten all of my order and i purchased in April 2022 and it is now middle of September still no response).

I ordered the Apex 10. Felt like i get a great deal they give me a discount. I get the bike home the next week. Arrives packaged perfectly no damage no issues. Super easy to put together. First ride I am impressed.

Front shocks are very smooth. Brakes work great. Climbs hills with ease. Seat completely fails. No worries most riders are more than 100lbs less than I am i expected to have to replace. I replace with upgraded seat, grips, and dropper post.

I ride it a couple times a week to figure out what it can and cant do. I’m interested in buying a second one because i absolutely love riding this thing. 50 miles into trail riding this bike the rear hub completely fail under normal riding conditions to boot.

I put a ticket in online. I call and they promptly set me up with a replacement wheel. Warranty people are very polite helpful on phone. Wheel arrives two weeks later to a local bike shop that is an approved Quietkat repair facility.

This is where it all goes downhill. The Wheel is completely wrong 2″ smaller than what i needed. I called Quietkat back said they would package up a new wheel and send me the correct one. Two days go by no update on shipment.

Two weeks later the bike shop gets the correct wheel. I ride the new wheel for two weeks, and the front fork begins to travel in the wrong directions completely failing internally, the front wheel hub begins popping.

Take to the bike shop again. I call quietkat yes we have had problems with several of these forks we will get you a new one. Nothing moves again. I call they say they will call me back, no return calls.

Warranty person i deal with goes on vacation. one week turns into two, two into three. I send emails to the sales person i bought bike through no response, warranty person i have been dealing with no response.

I had a warranty person mock me on phone completely unprofessional at week 2. At this point i am fed up that i spent 8k for a bike that i have had to completely rebuild and after 3 weeks they send me a fork for a different bike (not the same one that’s on it) and the correct wheel.

Fork Travel is different from the original bike. The response i got was we build 25 bikes per day and don’t have time to source parts. It wasn’t until i threatened to take them to small claims court for this lemon that i actually got a call back on the third week.

They overnighted that time. Again i get a different fork that what came with the bike but they get the front wheel right this time. There is a lot of good things about the bike, It has a sturdy frame, brakes work great, battery has great life, plenty of power from the mid drive motor.

Screen and controls work great. Internal wiring looks sturdy. Its all completely worthless if the drive train wont hold together. To me this should be the foundation of their bike as much as the frame.

None of the parts cross reference with anything in the bicycle industry for the wheels/fork so you cant repair these parts you have to order from quietkat. If you break this bike, you have to get parts in time for a trip, forget about taking that bike you wont get parts in time.

Parts takes week(s) if your lucky to get the right parts on time. My APEX 10 has spent all summer in the bike shop i have less than 150 miles of riding on it. Great investment to have to rebuild the entire drive-train.

Next problem im sure to have is the cassette or chain/ring so im sure ill have more BS to deal with im positive. To hopefully salvage this bike and actually be able to use it without falling apart every 5 min.

I made the decision to replace the factory wheels, hubs, and forks to versions that i can readily get parts for and service that are e bike rated and more robust for what i want to do with it. Just ride it.

I still don’t have it back. Sure it will void warranty. Their warranty is completely useless in my opinion because they cant send you the correct parts to fix your problem. Ive dealt with this all summer.

I don’t have any more energy to deal with Quietkat and this bike. Drag it out long enough like they do your warranty will expire before they get your problem fixed. Although their media, sales is top notch pictures are great.

All the pros on TV that has one say they are revolutionary technology. Quietkat service/warranty doesn’t know what parts go to what bike, and forget about getting anything quickly. I’m disappointed that i spent 8k on a bike that they said would hold up under my size and has completely failed.

Spend 8k on a bike an you get treated like you bought a huffy. Warranty/sales people tell you only what you want to hear. If you buy one based on my experience you can know what your getting. Buy a used one and take wheels fork, seat, bars off of it immediately because they aren’t gonna last you when you go out west.

I have now ridden my Warrior enough to realize it is a VERY HEAVY bike so not as nimble as I would have expected and putting on a hitch mount bike rack solo is a heavy lift. I am 220 pounds so not a stick and maneuverability is less than I had expected.

Compared to a Specialized Turbo Levo, which is not a fair comparison, the mechanical brakes and shifting is far less precise.

Battery life also less than desirable, took a fairly flat 22 mile ride on a bike path yesterday and never got above mid range assist and used 60% of the battery. Not sure this is going to work for my intended purpose which is mostly riding dirt road and trails to hit some fishing spots.

Given the weight I am not confident in handling in steep and tight spots. Your mileage may vary. I love the looks and its a solid build but unfortunately I am now rethinking whether to keep it. I bought it without taking a test ride first and that may have been a mistake.

Go ahead and save up for an extra battery, you’ll need it because they do not last as long as hoped especially riding in the wind or long mountain trails. the Terrain capabilities of this bike is wonderful though and will climb anything plus the one-wheel trailer will haul loads great.

Hauls my two Chesapeake’s just fine on long bird hunting days. Ride is smooth. I suggest ordering wide handlebar grips and probably installing a slightly raised handlebar. it will help with hand fatigue.

For the price a few little things for options would be awesome like the raised handlebars plus I had to order wider nicer flat peddles almost immediately. It would be a Huge upgrade for riding in boots if the bike came with good larger flat peddles.

Other than a few tweaks its great and I would buy it again. I have ridden a carbon fiber Giant mountain bike for years but now I am not as sweaty or tired after a long ride to my hunting areas.

I am 66 years old and wanted another cruiser bike. Looked at many brands but kept coming back to the Ranger Magnum. This bike has the best battery for range and is very comfortable with the forward pedal position.

My local salesperson was very knowledgeable with all aspects of this bike.

Excellent bike. I bought it for my husband as a birthday gift. The leather features on the handle and seat are awesome. The big, thick tires are just what he needed since he’s a big guy. Awesome price as well.

I just got this bike after not riding a bike in over 25 years. This is a very fun and easy bike to ride. I’ve had it now for about 3 weeks and have rode it at least 4 times a week so far. The PAS and throttle feature are amazing for older riders!.

Sad story. I live in Paris, I ordered the ADO A20F, with 35km/h max speed and fat tires, for 930€ (new buyer discount included) but i recieved the ADO A20, with 25km/h max speed and thin tires (799€), instead.

As the delivery came from Hong Kong, I had no other choice than e-mail them to get a refund or anything. They sent me a refund of 150€ and apologized, which is very professional. Unfortunately it is not what I ordered, but the bike i got works perfectly, the answers were quick, but again… not what I expected which disappointed me.

Hopefully they will be more careful with other people’s orders in the future.

The only negative is the battery life, very frustrating when QuietKat states over 50 miles and your bike almost quits after less than 10 miles on a beach. Need to pedal more I guess. My arthritis and bad joints are loosening up slightly, as a non powered bike is now out of the question.

Will need a 2nd battery for safe backup power. Lastly, it was frustrating to learn of the Rubicon and the improvements and upgrades. Have only had the Jeep bike for 6 weeks now! It’s a fantastic machine having surpassed all expectations.

I wanted a sturdy and rugged ebike I could use on any terrain. Although I ride on mostly paved surfaces, I know riding on anything else is a possible option now. The Warrior is a heavy ebike and it feels like a quiet powerful tank on two wheels.

I changed my tires to a smoother tread pattern and less rolling resistance, upgraded my seatpost to a Redstop Shockstop seatpost, changed my seat to a more comfortable one, and upgraded my battery to the one with an estimated 70 mile range.

The battery is very expensive, but it is worth the upgrade if you want to decrease the chances of running out of power in unchartered areas. The upgraded battery is available on QuietKat. com. It sales out quickly.

I am now very satisfied with a more comfortable ride and a much better battery. I can ride on level 2 about 7 to 8 miles before the upgraded battery gets down to 99%. I no longer have range anxiety that I had with the stock battery.

The package is a bit damaged when UPS get to my door. But when I open it, it’s perfect inside. The packing is perfect. No scratches nor anything bent. Takes 15 mins to get it up on my own. Everything works great! it goes to 22mph.

And the suspension quality is really high. The whole bike feels tight and high quality. Love it. Will recommend to my friends.

This bike is excellent! Everything I was hoping for in an e-bike. I am getting about 45-50 miles on a single charge! It’s also very comfortable and smooth to ride. I could not be happier with this purchase! I highly recommend.

Get to know Predator thru @Yotta_Life on IG. I love this bike so much. It’s so powerful and can go 25 miles. Considering I’m twisting the throttle all the time, this is quite impressive. I know if I pedal it will last longer.
