I’ve used Transcend memory cards for many years, mostly in my cameras. I now use them in many applications such as our four cameras, two smartphones, two tablets, and a portable scanner. I have recently switched from buying SD cards to buying only microSD cards with adapters.

I find the microSD cards to be a bit less expensive, with equal performance, and fit more devices than SD cards. Where I need an SD card I simply use an adapter. I tested the 32GB microSDHC card from transcend and it exceeded it’s specifications.

I want fast cards for my DSLR which can burst 10 shots per second. I don’t want the storage card to be a limiting factor for high speed shots.

I have so many memory cards due to work, most fit straight into my laptop however some are really tiny like the picture. Most devices will not take a card this tiny so these adapters are fab, simply pop the mini card into the top slot and pop into the computer like normal, everything on the card will then transfer to your device.

Excellent pricing, functions as other chips more expensive. Had similar memory chip, another brand which was not compatible with phone requiring extended memory. Once inserted no warnings displayed indicating wrong chip or potential trouble at distant future.

Really satisfied purchase worth acquiring. Only hope nothing turns up later requiring replacement.

I bought two of these. I actually use these for computer file storage because they are so compact and are very covert for portable applications. If you think about it, 5 of these stacked up is the equivalent of 5TB but in under the size of a few coins.

It is amazing how far technology has come. The quality is outstanding as usual -no corrupted files, transfers quickly, gets heated when writing very large quantities for a bit of time, but I rarely do that so not an issue.

They do seem to keep cool enough to maintain the higher speed so that is good. Remember, to get the best speeds, you need the right readers, usb cables, and ports. This all works together. I have used the 256gb, 512gb, and now 1tb sizes of these and so to extrapolate to past ones I have purchased, again, never had issues.

When these are on sale, the price is fair. I use my old ones in cameras now and they record 4k video with ease. Can’t wait for 2TB haha, or at least 2TB in an SD card since technically it would fit.

SanDisk are extremely fast exceptional quality Micro SD cards. The 32GB Extreme MicroSD card I bough works beautifully to supplement the internal memory of one of my Android tablets. Also on a side note I bought for my Android phone what I thought was a 128GB version of the SanDisk Extreme Micro SD card on NewEgg and when I got the card it became obvious to me (from the counterfeit packaging and the cards actual performance) that it was not a real SanDisk Memory card.

This may sound hyperbolic or unbelievable, but it is 100% true. the majority of the SanDisk memory cards that are sold by third party sellers on sites like NewEgg, Ebay, Amazon and numerous other sites are fake cards.

They may have what appear to be legitimate packaging, the card may look identical to an authentic SanDisk card and they may have serial numbers, “made in” and a “CE” marking on the card, but when you actually check the serial numbers with SanDisk’WesterDigital tech support or test the memory card’s performance you will find that they are likely inferior counterfeit memory cards from China.

Only buy your Sandisk memory cards from Western Digital or one of their approved dealers listed on their website. Don’t be fooled or tempted by anyone offering SanDisk Memory cards or other products at prices lower than what they are selling for on the Western Digital website or by one of their authorized dealers.

virtually any SanDisk Memory card or product that is priced lower than the Wester Digital or one of their authorized dealers will be an vastly inferior counterfeit card without the speed or memory of an authentic SanDisk card.

The most significant differences between memory cards are the speeds they can be written to. For 4K video, you need super fast write speeds. For a photographer with a high resolution camera bursts of shots can be more demanding than 4K video.

The faster the write speeds, the more expensive the card. This particular card is a sweet compromise. Any faster and the the price triples or quadruples. I don’t shoot long still photo action sequences and have no need for 4K video so this one more than satisfies my uses without breaking the bank.

I liked this until I used it to shoot video. It does not run fast enough to catch enough frames, and the video occasionally skips. Also, if you are photographing in continuous shooting mode for creative purposes, this card is COMPLETELY INADEQUATE.

Further, the 30mbs is too slow of a write time when burning the photo video files to your computer. I do recommend this exact card if you are transporting documents on it or will shoot occasional photos of flowers or products with it.

For photographing people, however, I INSIST you use the Sandisk 45mbs AT MINIMUM. I actually use the Sandisk Extreme PRO or something like that now, which is 90mbs. SO worth the price difference for photography and video.

Ill never go back to Ultra or Extreme again.

I’ve been using SanDisk cards for a long time. Mostly in my DSLR and video cameras. For a while, the SanDisk Ultra plus always fit the bill, until I upgraded my DLSR to a camera that shot 10 frames per second.

All of a sudden, the Ultra plus card didn’t do it anymore. When I got the GoPro 10, it practically regurgitated the slower cards. Enter the SanDisk Extreme PLUS. When I compared the read speed of the Extreme to the Ultra, there was an impressive 30% increase.

That speed was noticeable when using it with my DSLR. The Ultra couldn’t keep up with the 10 frames per second shutter speed, and 4 GB RAW images, and it buffered, a lot. With the Extreme PLUS, it didn’t buffer at all, and I tried my best to overload it.

If you don’t require fast read/write speeds, perhaps the Ultra is for you, it’s a good memory card. But if you have high performance device, don’t cheap out on your memory card, get the Extreme PLUS.

broke after 1 year. samsung support is redirecting me with the warranty to go to the shop where i bought the card. the card performance is good, value for money is ok if it would not broke. unfortunately, you have to choose between warranty and recovering the data.

For years I avoided these cards simply through being led to believe that a certain expensive make were by far the best out there. About 14 months ago I purchased a dash cam and as usual, inserted a very expensive card and problems soon started to occur.

The recording kept freezing almost daily and after some research I found out that this was very common with the cards I were using and that switching to a Kingston cured the problem?. Well I did exactly that and I can honestly say that my Kingston card has performed perfectly over several months and based on that fact they are now the only card that I use and they are truly superb in performance and value.

I bought this for my car dashcam. Would not work. Formatted it on my computer, – still would not work. I swapped it with my 16GB phone SD card, which does work in my car dashcam, and this card worked for a few days in my (New) Lumia windows phone – then the phone kept telling me “SD card unavailable”.

Many times re-formatting and re-trying, then re-installing all data to it with my phone, and now it will not work at all, although my computer reports that there is data on it. More trouble than I can cope with.

An unreliable useless item. Now I have to buy another to replace it, and I will get one from Tesco – at least I can then easily return it if I have any problem. Just pay more for one that does work properly.

This SD card has intense writing speed capabilities. I have used it with my drone to capture beautiful videos of the snow around my property – it handles wonderfully. It has U3, Class 10 read/write speeds, so it captures pictures and videos so quickly.

I can transfer the pics and vids to my computer quickly as well. With 512GB of storage I also don’t worry about running out of space. I can store multiple videos and tons of pictures. Even if I take high resolution pictures, I can still store a lot.

So your actual raw capacity seen by the operating system before formatting would be around 122GB. Now format your MicroSD card and add the file system reduces the space further, my Samsung 128GB card this 512GB version is replacing has 119GB once fully setup.

I have two Integral micro SD cards now 128gb and 256gb sized ones. I bought the 128gb for my last phone and was so impressed that the lowest priced branded card performed so closely to my SanDisk cards that when it came to get a larger size I didnt look anywhere else.

A 256gb SD card for under 28 is priced so far below the competition its almost no choice at all. These cards are fast enough for 4k and have read and write speeds perfect for my phone. I transferred just over a 100gb of music to the new card at speeds around 6070mbps.

Hopefully the 512gb cards will drop in price soon enough 100 at time of review. I guess until then Ill just have to make do with mere 28 256gb cards. I bought this 16GB microSD card to be used in an inexpensive microSD enabled speaker I bought for my nephew. I wanted something very inexpensive, but still reliable. I work in IT industry, Kingston has been a reliable manufacturer of computer memory and other storage devices for years, so when I found this card by Kingston, it was a no brainer.

I formatted it, loaded MP3 files to the card, inserted in speaker, worked flawlessly. There may be faster cards out there, but it was plenty fast enough for my purpose and very affordable. So, if looking for a quality card at a reasonable price and don’t need blazing speeds, buy this with confidence!.

I got it to clear up some space on my phone, since I have 128gb and already filled it most of the way, this card essentially doubles that. I put all my music and some less important pictures in it. It does take a bit more battery in my use case since I’m still listening to music, streaming data from a different source.

All in all it does its job, and well. Highly recommend.

Decided to try an SD card to store my audio library to use in the car. Despite the Skoda manual saying you can use a USB stick and all sorts of audio formants it wasn’t happening. Therefore this was my first foray into using a card as the audio system also had an SD slot.

It came ready formatted in ExFat which my iMac read instantly. Tried a couple of MP3 tracks which the car read straight off. The car also seems to read other formats, but I will try that later. So far I have put around 10GB of sound files on without problem.

I am happy with the transfer speed, editing is no problem, and the bargain price makes it all the better. A great product.

I bought this SD card for a mod in a iRiver H320 and a iHP-120 and it works fine in these players without fail. The read and write speed is a lot slower as it’s running inside these players. Please note this mod will not work with the original firmware on the 100 and 300 series players, it only works with Rockbox.

You will also need a SD to CF adaptor and a 50 pin CF to IDE adaptor and for the card to be in FAT32 format for this mod to work.

Kingston make a good, reliable, quality product. In all the years I’ve been using them, they have never let me down. That’s all you can really say about a memory card. I mean, I could go on about non-dom UK companies basing themselves in either Luxembourg or Dublin to serially avoid UK corporation tax.

However that would be pointless, as it has nothing to do with the product or the company that manufactures the memory card I’m reviewing, unethical though this practice of tax-avoidance is, especially when those making the tax-free fortunes are ostensibly monopolies and it’s not actually illegal to avoid paying shed-loads of tax if you can get away with it.

So I won’t mention it here. Except for the bit I’ve already mentioned above. Other tax-avoiding companies such as those selling predominantly books online and others selling phones and tablets that you can’t take the battery out of yourself may be available.

This is an excellent card! Truly effective and efficient. No issues with speed at all. I’m able to upload information and download information quickly without any lag. I’ve used my card to store multiple formats and been able to store and retrieve information with no issues.

The adapter works great to switch the SD card between devices. The SD card is very durable. I’ve used multiple brands of high speed SD cards and none compare to my Samsung pro plus! It’s a definite must for anything you need to be quick and efficient.

I don’t know how my tablet or camera worked without it. They move so much faster and more efficiently with the higher speed SD card. I can store more pictures and apps with the larger capacity. I highly recommend this Samsung pro plus.

The 64GB Canvas Go Plus microSD works fine on the DJI Mini SE Drone. Kingston memory products are always very reliable.

I am not the type of person to complain and write reviews but since using ProGrade cards (more specifically 512gb v90) I have never had so many corrupt files in my life. I have so much anxiety using ProGrade cards that I don’t think I can use them anymore.

There have been multiple times I have had corrupt files. Most times it’s just been a small video clip that wasn’t really that important, but now after losing half the speeches of a wedding I can’t trust ProGrade anymore.

It is sad because I really loved the speed of the transfer rate and the 512gg size to fit Canon R5 4K video.

The card is good. Read spears are on par and the space on my A7S III and FX3 for 4K 24p 10-but 4:2:2 is a bit more than 5 quoted hours. But my issue is not the card, but the card packaging. I almost threw the card away and assumed it fell out somewhere or maybe got stuck under the inner cardboard flaps.

But no, it was definitely bubble wrapped. You know how most SD cards come with a big cardboard backer? Not this one. It was literally a box the size of matches! So just be careful, the last thing you want to do is accidentally yeet such an expensive SD card!.

Ever since the release of the Canon 5D Mk III, I’ve been duplicating data for my still images during every shoot, writing each image to two cards which made me feel confident that I’d never lose an image (and I never have), but this last year I started shooting video for clients and purchased the Canon EOS R, which only has one card slot.

Since the content I produce is the most important thing and I could no longer duplicate it on the spot, I knew that I had to get the most reliable SD Cards I could. In the past I’ve used Lexar cards for my entire career, but from online reviews, it appears that their quality has gone down in the last few years (the company was also sold during this time), and I cannot afford the risk of losing any content.

I had heard of Prograde from a friend, so I started researching them and through my research was convinced that they make superior cards to other manufacturers an I ended up purchasing one of their v90 cards.

The card is so incredibly fast and I’m very confident in the safety of my data on this card. I have a Lexar card that’s rated fast enough for me to shoot 4K video on it, but in reality it won’t buffer fast enough and can’t keep up with the camera, so I was forced to shoot in 1080p with that card.

Overall, the card worked as expected. I did not fill card but did get over 200GB of data on it. Not sure if it was worth the $10. 00 difference from the silver series card. The only downside is it did not come in plastic storage case.

You would think, for the price, they could at least include a plastic storage case for it.

I took this card with me to Mongolia. In the middle of my first use, the card was corrupted. I have about 3000 images on that card that is completely lost. The computer dose not even recognize the card.

I have done all the recommended steps trying to recover my files and unsuccessful. Mongolia is long way to go to lose you images. This the second card with this brand that is corrupted.

This was the best priced option for a UHS-II v90 SD card. The price on these types of SD cards are pretty high and this was the best option for my budget. I’ve used it for almost 3 months now and no problems.

The first month I recorded very often in 4k 120fps on the Sony Fx3. No issues. I got it on flash sale and if I see it another sale, definitely picking another up. Any SD card will eventually corrupt, so always have a back up ready!.

I use it in my security camera. Now I have at least a day or two of backups if I need to review footage.
