Excellent quality and great sound. If you aren’t training for a specific shooting discipline (USPSA, IDPA, etc. ) this target is perfect. I have used Caldwell’s 3/8″plates with both rifle and pistol and the plates have stood great to all pistol and non-magnum rifle rounds.

I do not shoot 3/8″ AR500 with magnum rifle rounds though they are safe if you obey the velocity guidelines. I recommend these plates to anyone in the market. Caldwell is less expensive than the other options in this size and the plates are well made, well cut, and the edges are all smoothed to eliminate sharp edges.

You will need a ‘real’ stand to hold these up as they weigh quite a bit. I would not recommend a T-post stand but rather a hanging stand or a 2×4 stand with a wide, sturdy base. My only issue is that Caldwell’s sticker will flake off and fly all over the range if you don’t peel it off before shooting.

I recommend peeling the sticker off the front facing side before you start shooting. Also, keep in mind that the yellow powder coat is toast as soon as it gets hit. The steel will still last forever (especially if you touch it up with spray paint) but the yellow coating is only going to last until you get to the range.

Each bullet that impacts will take off a small circle of the coating. Finally, pay attention to the weight listed for this size target. It is heavy and somewhat unwieldy when you are trying to place it on your stand/hanger.

I would consider this more of a set-up and leave it kind of target rather than one you take out to the range every weekend.

I couldn’t believe how well the steel held up. After the first day of shooting I expected some sort of dimpling and by appearance there was some. But I ran my hand access the steel and it was silky smooth still.

The only bummer is that on shot 5 or so my buddy center punched the bolt and the bolt head popped off which shut us down on that steel for the day. Excellent quality product. I would highly recommend.

I like the 33% size. At 500yds they are just outside Moa for width and are almost an exact match for a milk jug only providing positive hits with the sound. As far as the product the powder coat isn’t necessary as it comes off with the hits but it’s not an issue they get painted every time anyway it’s just not needed.

My loads are 3500 at the muzzle no indents on the steel just what you need and expect at a great price.

I purchased this Tink’s just before the weekend of the rut. I walked into my stand, set this out around me on cotton balls on the near low tree limbs. As soon as I climbed my stand and before I could even get set up a buck was passing hot on the scent and standing right in front of me.

Not the buck of my choice but he was fun to watch in his rutting action. I seen 3 bucks that evening and they all had their nose in the air grunting. When arriving back the next morning I set the scent back out, and almost a repeat of the day before happened again.

Not one of the bucks were the same as the previous day. This really made me a believer that putting this out was drawing them in that quickly and the wind was definitely in my favor. I was calling and messaging people about how great this was.

On day three of the hunt the bucks were getting more mature and coming in looking for this non existing doe in heat! The pictures attached show the ending of the greatest weekend of a hunt that I can ever recall.

Have been using Tink’s #69 Doe-in-Rut for 10+ yrs. Left 5 star review 10 yrs ago. Am leaving another this yr. This stuff just plain works. Lots of copycats out there; don’t bother trying them. Squirt some on bottom of my boots hiking in.

Squirt more around tree stand. About 3 hrs later, a nice 8 pt came cruising in, looking for company. Just like 10 yrs ago, he followed scent on my footprints all the way in. He is resting peacefully in my freezer now.

I’ve been using Tinks #69 with the orange hanging scent bombs since I was old enough to hunt solo, so about 15 years now. I picked it up on a whim because I had never tried rut attractants before so figured why not? It can’t hurt anything.

Let me just say, when it comes to Lures and Scents for deer, the market is heavily saturated and people have their favorites. Some like Code Blue. Some like Special Golden Estrous. Some like Buck Bomb.

I haven’t tried the other brands because I haven’t needed to. When I first started buying scents, Tink’s pretty much owned the market. Stores mainly carried this and golden estrous. This stuff works.

Is it going to pull in bucks that aren’t on your property to begin with? No, not in my experience. What it will do is make bucks already in the area curious, and 9 times out of 10, they will come check out the scent.

For example, this morning I had 2 small Bucks walk in 10 minutes apart from each other, and they both followed the trail of scent all the way down the run, and they visited the tree I had a scent bomb hanging from.

Each of these bucks proceeded to making a fresh scrape directly under the tree where the Scent Bomb with Tinks#69 had been hanging. In the end, I had 2 fresh scrapes next to each other, made by two different bucks.

The scrapes were almost touching. Also, even though the wind was swirling, these bucks were completely relaxed and comfortable because they picked up this scent, and it made them feel as if they had nothing to worry about because they thought deer had been in the area already, so they weren’t on alert.

This is generally my experience with Tinks. It will work, as long as you use it properly(don’t go overboard with it, and use it during peak of the rut) and with the right wind conditions, and you’re using it in areas where you know Bucks are traveling.

It’s not a magic bullet. Nothing in hunting ever is. But as long as a buck can smell it, there’s a good chance he’ll come directly to it, when he otherwise might not have shown himself at all.

I bought this about a month ago and have used it around my trial cameras when I go in to check them on my boots as well. Have even put it on trees around my bait piles. Large bucks have gone up to it many times and smelt it and kept feeding and they always come in downwind of the pile like the scent brings them in.

Will for sure be buying some more. Just wish the price was a little cheaper since it uses up so quickly. Only reason for the 4 stars. The white line on the pine is the evercalm scent. You can not see the bait due to the weeds being higher.

Worked like a charm with these big ones and 2 other bachelor groups.

I hunt from opening season to close in Oklahoma and Texas. Have done so my whole life. I used to think deer could see detail really well. Not so, they see movement really well. What they do have is a keen sense of smell.

My son gave me a stick three years ago. When I go out now and forget to rub it on my tree or set at the base with the lid off I feel like the hunt was wasted. I literally can get 10 foot up in my climber and have 15 to 20 deer at my feet that have no clue that this 300 pound predator is watching them.

I have learned so much about deer since I started using this product because they hang with me that I can almost keep up with my son on the hunting. Almost.

I have used this product in the past ans have noticed a definite calming effect on all of the deer that have been within 100 yards of my stand. I prefer this solid product to the liquids that I have been using for the past 30 years as there is no mess in your pockets or pack.

These are nice points. The O-ring actually does keep the point secured – you can feel the difference when you screw them in. The points that originally came with my arrows would loosen after every few shots (I’m not sure if it was on the shot or the pull from the target).

But these don’t move/loosen/rattle/wiggle at all. The arrows are easier to pull due to the fat belly design as well. I replaced the original points of my Beman White Box arrows with these – great buy! I’m only giving 4 stars because it seems that the ring could move around or break, but I’ve only shot with them at 2 sessions, so I’m not sure yet.

If they last a month I will be more than happy for the quality and price.

A person at the range loaned me one to shoot into the target with after I complained about the difficulty I was having getting the arrow out of the target. Our club uses fiber board compressed by a 2×4 frame.

I shoot a 70# bow with GoldTip arrows and was having extreme difficulty pulling the arrows. This field point is slightly larger than the shaft diameter and works great. I’m skeptical of most easy fixes but this one really works.

Recently switched from a compound to a crossbow. Went with Deadmeat broadheads and have been pleased with them. They are simple to operate, easy to replace blades and they do their job well. I did take a doe with one, so far.

Definitely worked! One small thing worth mentioning is that my quiver grabs the arrow (bolt) shaft in 2 places, so I was able to remove the foam in the quiver head. I think the foam can be a little problematic for unseating the blades.

For that reason, and mostly the high price, I gave them 4 stars. Would have liked to go 4. 5 stars. They are good and I plan to continue to use them as long as I can buy them.

Ive been shooting bow for six plus year and this was the first year of bow hunting. Last weekend of archery season for mullies, shot an eight point at around 50 yards, ran less than 80 yards. Next weekend, shot an ten point whitetail, 60 yards was all he went.

Both were double lung shots. Ethical broadhead, very impressed. ONLY, draw back was both shots damaged blades to the point they will have to be replaced. Left picture is the whitetail; complete through shot.

This product appears to be of good quality as far as manufacturing and probable durability in field usage. Factory packaging is very good. The call I received was not as loud as the two other original cans that I own.

The only reason I bought this call was to reach out farther so I am disappointed. The duration of the bleat may be longer but is not significantly longer than my original cans. I intended to use this call on bobcats and coyotes as much as deer.

I called up 2 bobcats in the last 3 years of hunting deer in the mountains of West Virginia by bleating 2 or 3 times at 15 minute intervals. I may return this call to Primos because it is not typical of the many other products from Primos that I use.

I couldn’t believe it when this can actually shipped to my house. At first, I believed it was a gimmick because of how low the price was! I bought the Great Big Can for the same price of the Original Can.

This is such a great value. It has a longer bleat than the original can, making it useful in the later parts of the rut. I would definitely recommend this product to an avid hunter!.

Ive used all sorts of attractants and cover scents. The smokin sticks add to my arsenal. Its just enough to get the bucks wondering and may give you that needed edge. It also gave some cover to my scent as well.

Hunt wind but this can’t hurt. I love it. Ive had plenty deer come in with their heads up trying to locate.

I bought these based on the reviews. They smell a LOT like typical incense and I don’t know if that is due to the chemical used to make them keep burning/smoking. but what I WILL tell you is I have used them twice now and both times I got busted.

Does blew at me from well over 50 yds. even after these were extinguished. I was well camo’d and used scent cover so this is the only outlying factor. Can’t say I trust em as i’m 0 for 2 using em.

The Tink’s Smokin’ Sticks create a natural deer smell of a Doe-in-heat. Deer seemed curious and attracted to this during the early phases of the rut. Young deer have came right up the stick trying to figure it out.

I like this bleat. It has a realistic sound and I added it to my arsenal. But here’s the thing we hunters all need to understand. You can rattle like Levi Morgan, grunt like Michael Waddell and bleat like Wilbur Primos.

But if there aren’t deer in the area to hear it, they’re not coming in. After years of great success in these same areas I’ve hunted, this year, nothing seemed to work and I’m just chalking it up to a bad year.

The can is mis-leading. I raised deer for 12 yrs. This is not a Doe in Estrus Bleat. It is a Fawn Bleat. I know from Experience raising Whitetails. None the less, I have been using my old Can from about 9-10 yrs ago & it actually works well on calming Doe’s & yrling down during Deer Season.

I have successfully used it at Kisatchie National Forest in Central Louisiana where I hunt deer extensively. This year, I kept a doe & a yrling within 30 yds of me after being busted by the yrling using the Old Can.

Every time they snorted & stomped the ground, I would use the can. It would calm them down & they would go back to feeding on acorns. They bedded down by me, 25 yds away, til I swatted a mosquito. Then they got up & bounced off about 50 yds.

I used the can again to calm them & they came back. But eventually left to bed just outside of my eyesight. Later that morning, I harvested a 6 pt buck. I feel that the longer I keep deer by me, that there is a lot of Natural deer smell, rather than all that Liquid stuff that is on the shelf at the store, which 100 % of the time that I used artificial deer lure, scared them off as soon as they smelled it.

Real Deer will leave scent that is calming to other deer. An, that’s why I use The Can. To Calm Deer down & hold them as long as I can. Not to Cold-Call them in. I have used a Buck grunt call many of times to No Luck at all.

The reason that I bought this one was b/c I lost my Old Can in the woods. Hope this helps!!! Deer Man Out.

I started using Acorn Rage 12 years ago and it was the best nothing else came close like this to attracting Deer I would put this out and Deer would often be there within 10 minutes worked great almost every time.

The last three or four years I’ve been using this and nothing would hardly touch it until it sat for several days finally it would disappear. I believe the recipe has been changed. I don’t know what else it could be I wish it worked the way it used to be when Deer would show up almost immediately after I put it out I used to mix it in a feeder with my corn and Deer waited nearby for the feeder to go off.

Acorn rage no longer works for me I no longer recommend it. Glen.

Timing is important! Been using acorn rage for 10 plus years and love it! I found if applied in the woods about 4 to 6 weeks prior to the real acorns falling, it is a huge attractant of the biggest bucks in the area.

Many pics of big bucks running other deer off. Bucks are getting fit for the rut. I coat all my corn with it and when the feeder goes off, it sends an acorn aroma drifting through the woods. Once the real acorns start falling, not as effective.

I had been thinking about buying this for a while and finally did this weekend. I feed them a pellet/corn combo and I sprinkle a molases treat on it. I wanted them to have a tasty side dish so I cleared off a 10″ pine stump in my backyard and poured about 30% of the bag on it.

Within 2 hours the regulars showed up and the dominant male claimed the Acorn Rage covered stump. He ate until he had enough and then the others rushed over to finish it off. As of this morning the stump has been licked clean.

I am sold on this product and will continue to use until I have to stop by law.

Most important thing: follow the directions. Living in NY, we can’t use deer attractant, so I use it to feed squirrels. Unfortunately, the deer keep eating it before the squirrels. You just have to shoot the deer so the squirrels can get some.

I bought this to use near the Kansas border on a trophy managed ranch but I was worried since no one had used this before the deer would be nervous about a new smell. The morning I used it I had 2 mature does smell it and go right to it and spend almost an hour eating it.

Skipping the corn at the feeder and just eating this stuff. Glad I found something that works and that doesn’t spook deer. I’m gonna use it going forward.

This was like Deer candy !!! I had several Does and multiple Bucks on my camera all hours of the day and night showing up every time I put it out !!! Even showing up late morning. it even pulled Deer away from other guys plots around me.

And with it being “Dirt” color no one could figure out why they were all being pulled my way !! Even walking up on it no one could see it !! And the more it rained the better it worked did not wash away like other Products and “crush’s” do went back 3 days later and bought another 6 bags !! Cannot day enough on how great this product is !!!.

I’ve been using Evolved Habitats Deer Cain for almost 15 years. Deer absolutely destroy it. I’ve had the best results when I neatly stack arm sized 4′ sections of well seasoned to rotten tree limbs and pour the powder right on top of them.

I’ve had mixed results if I just randomly dump it on the ground. The soil type seems to effect the deers willingness to use the product. Stacking old tree limbs never fails. Some of my mineral sites are now the size of a car hood and over a foot into the ground.

Bucks hit it all year round but especially hard from May to September.

If you can’t follow instructions, leave it on the shelf for those of us who can. I have one site which has been untreated for 3 years and the deer still come to it and tear up the soil. For the rest who say it only works for a few months out of the year, do some whitetail research.

Deer mainly crave minerals for a particular time period of the year. It happens to be during antler growth for bucks which also happens to be the time of year when all deer are eating a lot of green leafy vegetation which is high in moisture content.

My father had a mineral block in the same spot since the early 70’s and I am continuing the tradition with the pictures to prove the timing and results. Wish he was still here to see my trail camera pic’s from this summer so far.

I have been using this product for years, as well as trying multiple other commercial attractants and after at least 10 consecutive years of using mineral attractants I can easily say that the Deer Cain concentrate and block give the best results both immediately and over the long term.

After putting it in a month later you can expect a noticeable hole in the ground. I only put this in on an annual basis, so when I return the following year at the same time (around thanksgiving every year) the hole is large, deep and always has fresh tracks at it and beds around it.

All other mineral supplements I’ve used work ok to start, but by next season the site I put it in is always overgrown and clearly not visited by deer, in contrast to the “Deer Cain” which is always trampled and heavily visited.

Over the years the deer in my area have created new trails from multiple directions to my “Deer Cain” sites. I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in establishing a consistent mineral supplement site.
