Easy installation, nice appearance in window, efficient cooling. Major plus having thermostatic control, in hand with the included remote. Cooling is great even in this 90+ summer temperatures with high humidity almost daily.

Unit easily cools the 450 square feet as listed. I wasn’t familiar with this brand but took a chance at this price; with it’s cooling performance so far I am happy with Arctic Wind 10,000 BTU windows unit.

I got this air conditioner for an elderly lady. Her central heat/air went out and she can’t afford to have it fixed. But I didn’t want to have her suffer this 100 + degree heat. We put this in her house and she’s loving it.

i need an air conditioner really bad, this has the ? type freon, it has the ? seer rating, it removes ? pints of moisture per hour, I have no idea what it is, there is no way to contact the manufacturer, guess i’ll just look at something else, when there’s no info or limited information they’re probably hiding something, good luck selling this.

I got a keystone 18,000 btu air conditioner because having 8,000 btu’s in 3 different Windows was looking gawdy and summer is Coming up again. My husband installed this in About 10 min. There was already a 230 plug from a wall unit we ripped out when we bought The house.

We put this in the same spot it Comes with EVERYTHING you need. He installed It and about 5 min. Later I realized we needed to pick up dinner so we let it run while We were out. Well we walk back in the house only 30 minutes later, and let me tell you it was like we walked into the wrong house the air Quality had completely changed not only was It colder than its ever been but all the air in our house had been filtered in only the short time We ran for dinner.

All my other air conditioners Combined along with 2 bulky floor model filtration systems never did the job this one does. The air is so clean and crisp it’s like it’s been sterilized. One of my children has asthma And was taking deep breaths of the air and said “Wow mom it’s brand new air” so even on days we don’t need to cool the house I will be running our Keystone on fan mode.

It has a filter you can just grab rinse in the sink and slide back in. This unit made me feel like I’d made an amazing decision for my family. Also it’s energy star so Won’t jack up the utility bill it looks nice and I’m going to have the coolest crispest house on the Block this summer.

If you have any issues with Air quality I would strongly recommend this unit. I used just this to replace 3 window air Conditioners and 2 big air purifiers, and this is Quieter. My mother in law has copd so we will be surprising her with one too!.

(I can sleep with it on low. ) CONS: (Just one) • The idea of the “Follow Me” function is nice, but in this remote it’s poorly implemented. It works as long as the remote can “see” the AC unit and is pointed at it.

An RF based remote, instead of this IR type wouldn’t have such limitations. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchased and would recommend it.

I ordered this unit for a one-room addition to my home in hot, humid Florida. My home office was always stuffy, and I was groggy from the heat by mid-afternoon. The unit was installed about a week ago, and it is even quieter than I could imagine I can easily control the temperature with the remote.

If the patio door is opened the unit on the wall self-adjusts to compensate for the loss of cool air and steps up until the temperature is back down. I love this thing. #sweepstakes.

So far, so good. This install is a 48K outside unit serving two branch boxes to do four heads. The build seems to be ‘commercial’, i. e. robust construction, flexability on the install, self monitoring with fault code display well represented.

A little more ‘some assembly required’ than comparable brands. Price was probably decent although extra cost of installing branch boxes (plus cost of boxes themselves) added $1000 to the price tag. Kind of nice just having two lines to the compressor.

The trade off is that it can be tricky to locate the branch boxes (must be located in the house). I find the heads to be very quiet, remotes all operate as advertized.

So far, not so good. I installed a large Pioneer 220v mini split unit in the bedroom, hoping it would be sufficient to completely heat and cool an 800sf new-construction, well-insulated barndominium.

I’ve been here two years now, and I’ve had to use supplemental portable AC and heating units through the worst of our summers and winters. I installed this second Pioneer 115v unit in the living/kitchen area in early February, thinking it would be enough to keep my little place comfy without having to rely on the additional portable units.

No such luck. During our (granted, record-breaking) cold snap of 2/21 this 115v unit didn’t do it’s job, and I had to use the space heater again. A lot. The 220v unit in the bedroom had a hard time keeping up, but at least kept the room at 64.

I’m really hoping this new unit does a much better job of cooling than it does heating. We’ll see soon enough.

After several weeks installed, we are really pleased with our Pioneer Mini-Split unit. Finding someone to help with the install was a challenge as most HVAC contractors won’t help if you if you purchase one directly.

I made sure I had someone lined up before I ordered. It came pretty quickly. Ours was a replacement for a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim that lasted over 10 years with zero maintenance. This unit is on a sun porch with a southern exposure so it’s nice to shift from AC to heat depending on the day, especially in the winter months.

It’s almost a DYI but I didn’t have the vacuum tools or gauges for the line set. The line set on our porch was hidden behind a panel/post. That was extra work to pull out the old line and replace but everything is hidden so it looks great.

I would recommend this product to everyone.

Took quite a while to arrive at the store after ordering, but I expected that so no problem. There was two boxes, the outside unit and the indoor unit. Well packed, nothing was damaged even though the box looked like it gad been through a lot.

Instructions were good and I followed as close as possible. Biggest challenge is cutting the hole for the lines. Indoor unit was a bit heavy to set into place but managed to get it done. Some might have trouble with this part so good to have a buddy help out.

I cheated with the outdoor unit, I had a forklift available to set up a large paver for the unit to sit on, and also used it to place the unit on the paver. Refrigerant lines were easy to hook up and was careful to minimize bending as per instructions.

Only issue I had was I wanted to order the conduit kit for the installation, but they were not available through Home Depot Canada. I ended up ordering the kit through another supplier. (reason for a 4/5 star rating) The system took most of a day to install but I had a few interruptions during the day, so continuously working may take half a day, but I wasn’t in a hurry either.

System works great, it was set up to cool only one part of the house, but it’s actually cooling the whole house with the help of a fan strategically placed in a hallway. Set the temp at 22C and it hasn’t really been touched since (two months?).

Now we don’t want to go outside on hot days! Power consumption is less than the portable A/C unit we were using previously, and works so much better without all the noise. Haven’t used the wifi dongle/connection thing, don’t really have a need for it so far.

Normal weekend here, checked LP gas level, called to get it refilled on Monday and leave a check under the cover. My guy said just make it for $1200. Thus, I let it run out and called Ingrams Water and Air.

I’ve seen their ads about mini split systems. I got sales expert Paul Ralph. He quickly helped me with sizing and explaining where to place the air handlers. I put a 12k in my large kitchen and dining room.

The MrCool 12K could have been done in a few hours, but I stopped to double check myself and get the manual out. This was simple and as my son said, ” DUUHH, dad, it’s Plug and Play”. (Second two MrCool 9K zones went much quicker.

) With the central gas unit, you get a blast of hot air and then it fades. Not with the MrCool, even temp all over. The MrCool ap on my phone was very simple. Allows you to label each air handler and control temperature, mode (air or heat ), fan speed and louver direction.

VERY VERY quiet operation! English seems to be the first language of the very helpful employees. This has been very easy from the phone, then the front order pick up desk, and finally to the warehouse loading staff.

I live in a 1920’s brick and slate bungalow. I got tired of installing and removing a 10K window unit weighing 80lbs. But I didn’t have the money for central air ductwork and I did not have extra capacity on my electric panel to add a 60 amp 220v breaker.

The 12K DIY kit made the most sense. I did need to hire a handyman to use a hammer-drill to get through the brick. But everything else, I did myself. After installation, at first I thought it wasn’t working because it’s so quiet.

For reference, my table top fan is louder than this system, that is how quiet it really is. I got a chance to really test things out yesterday as the outdoor temperature soared to 91 degrees. I wasn’t expecting weather like this so soon but I am glad to report that the Mr.

Cool mini-split ran like a champ. In fact, it didn’t seem stressed at all. I warned my neighbor that the outdoor unit might disturb her but when I went outside to listen, it was hardly louder than the indoor unit! I haven’t installed the smart phone app yet so I can’t report on that.

However, I am really happy with this system since a homeowner can install it themselves, saving money. It is rated for 115v household current, so I didn’t need to make a major upgrade to my electric box and it is energy star rated.

Which is better than many of the other systems out there that require you to use a 220v circuit and hire an HVAC professional to charge the system. I was on the fence for a little while but now I know I made the right decision.

Purchased and was later told they are out of stock. How can you sell something, take the money, and then not have it. I am $130 into air diverter purchase from another company to match the AC that I will never get.

Don’t sell inventory you don’t have, pretty simple business practice.

Installation was easy! Wish it had said it didn’t come with lower unit though. Lost a few days on account of having to order that after I received upper unit! All in all was still a good value. Have only used it a little bit so far but seems to work good.

The unit was ordered and received in a timely manner. At the time of order, the website said orders over $100. 00 shipped free, but I was charged $300. 00 at check out. That was disappointing and there was nothing other than email for contact inquiries.

I sent an email and received no response. While the product was acceptable and the delivery was timely, I found it disappointing that there was no communication from my inquiry and that I had to pay for shipping.

Shipped in great condition. Came with all the parts. Went through a couple youtube videos and bought about $100 worth of equipment except the vaccum pump and gauges that I borrowed from a friend. Was able to install it in about 7 hours with two friends.

Hardest part for my installation was going through brick. Other people would probably have a lot easier way of cutting to the outside to run all the cables and tubes. If it wasn’t for the brick, I would say it would take about 4-6 hours depending on how tidy you want the cables outside to look.

Installers wanted to charge between $1400 and $2000 for a $700 product. I said, nope, I can do this. Instructions that came with it were great. A week after installing, I’m still finding new features.

It is crazy how much this thing can do as far as modes, selections, timers, settings. It cools down a couple degrees in 5-10 minutes. Way faster and keeps the temperature perfect all the time. Going to save a lot of money now I’m not using the old window unit.

I did buy it for the wifi app, but found out afterwards that the app is very disregarded online because of the heinous requirements it wants on your phone. Why does an AC unit need access to my contact list and call history??? So I decided not to install the app on my phone.

If I could change anything I would have saved some money by not worrying about getting a wifi enabled unit. Highly recommend this AC unit to anyway, just skip the wifi enabled version.

Where do I even start ! I purchased this package and for some reason they didn’t ship out the install kit. 3 weeks and 5 phone calls later I finally got it. Got it installed and come to find out they ran out of the matching evaporators so they shipped a comparable one.

Well the contractor installed it thinking we were getting an upgrade (because comfortup said it was). But the to aren’t compatible so now we have to wait 2 more weeks to get a replacement and pay the contractor a second time to install the compatible condenser.

Witch by the way is mounted on the side of the building 15ft off the ground so I get to pay again for a crane. I want to be compensated for the scew up NIGHTMARE COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.

Likes: Appealing to the eye for a window ac unit. On board digital control panel neatly positioned. Cooling, energy saver, fan speed, dry seem to work as intended so far. Has 4 way adjustable air direction.

Most only have 2. Has remote (haven’t used as ac and chair are only feet apart. Dislikes: Much louder than expected especially when compressor is running. Cycling on every 3 minutes in energy saving mode is annoying beyond words.

Makes it impossible for me to sleep with it in that mode. Maybe you could 🙂 The black lever to adjust from recirculated to fresh air and vice versa is worthless. You can see the adjustable flap through the adjustable air directional vents.

Pulling the lever out is supposed to open the flap to allow fresh air in (which it does). Pushing lever in is supposed to keep fresh air out (only recirculate the air in the room). This does not work as intended, at least not on mine.

You can clearly see outdoor light pretty much all around the flap, when it’s closed, allowing fresh (hot, humid air), in when you want to jeep it out and recirculate the cool air already in the room.

Design flaw in my opinion. Relatively short cord. All ac’s I’ve had previously definitely had longer cords. The swishing (whatever word you prefer), where water accumulates in the tray is annoying as well.

Never had this issue with any previous window units, but manual says this is normal with this unit. I’m guessing it has to do with a special type fan this ac has, which others don’t. I assume it’s designed to assist with the cooling.

I purchased the LT1430CNR last year and spent an enjoyable summer in the comfort of my air conditioning. This spring when I fired it off on slightly warmer than comfortable day I got a great deal of noise to the point where I had to leave the room because of this distraction and annoyances.

I worked for quite a while at Pacific appliances a division of Best Buy and sold LG on a regular basis since I had no fear that it would come back to be a problem. This was the emphasis to buy an LG air conditioner I ran into the problem I asked for service even though I was just barely over the one year warranty.

They had set up an appointment for 8 o’clock the following morning which I thought was terrific except that when they got my new address in the little town of Minnesota they decided that they could service this because I was too far away with which necessitated me to purchase a new air conditioner with different brand to whether the heat.

So now my LG sits in the second bedroom unusable and thoughts of putting it in my master bedroom are somewhat defeated two cents it is a 220 and I only have one tent available for me there. So disappointed in LG first of all for having a one year warranty on something that should be two seasons and second that they won’t service me because I live in a small town so.

A little background might be helpful in that.

We bought this unit to replace a 15 year old 8000 BTU unit from a different manufacturer. Although we were downsizing the unit in terms of BTUs, we were hopefully that the performance of this unit would work adequately based on our experience with other LG ACs.

We have owned the unit for a month, and although we have only had a few really hot days, the unit’s performance is excellent. It adequately cools the bedroom where it is installed, and the energy saver feature is awesome.

It does a tremendous job maintaining a steady temperature in the room. It also has a Dry mode which turns the unit into a dehumidifier and still cools the room. We are very pleased with the unit and would buy another one if necessary.

As a standalone AC unit it works as advertised; however, the advanced Remote/WiFi/Voice features have a long way to go. For standalone AC it does the job. Cooling, Fan, Dehumidifier, and Auto modes. I’ve only tried Cooling/Fan/Auto but they work and it cools a room effectively.

My frustrations are with Remote/WiFi/Voice features. Had difficulty with the Honeywell Air Comfort Alexa Skill just like many other reviewers; however, I was able to get it to connect and work. It’s not great but some basic commands do function.

I had some issues connecting at first as well. Below are a few learnings that may help others: NOTE: All of these are for Honeywell Portable AC HF0CESVWK6 and Alexa Echo Dot ~~ Honeywell AC Unit WiFi Connectivity & App Usage ~~ 1: As instructed, the app “Honeywell Air Comfort” is required.

Registration is required to use the app (free). The Registration process will then guide you to a place to start WiFi setup and device connection. 2: I had more luck using the onboard buttons on the AC instead of using the remote.

– 2a: Press and hold the WiFi button on the AC until it beeps. This means it’s ready for WiFi connection and it worked for me once I followed the prompts in the app. Note the prompts do walk you through how to prep the AC unit (as mentioned before), configure WiFi, then temporarily swap to the AC unit’s hotspot instead of your home WiFi.

I could see this being a challenge for many people as it isn’t very intuitive. but reading carefully does the trick. – 2b: The app tried to tell me to use the remote for this instead. Instructed to hold both the “Mode” (9 dots in a square) and “Swing” (Partial Pie Chart) buttons at once.

This didn’t work for me but in hindsight I think it’s because the remote REQUIRES LINE OF SIGHT to the AC. The remote will give a false positive that it did something but the AC unit itself didn’t recognize it.

Easy to test this just by trying On/Off with the remote from different sight lines. 3: The temp control works in the app but a little finicky. Such as the +/- buttons only work one at a time and the unit must confirm the previous increase before it lets you do the next.

Click +/- rapidly won’t help. Do one at a time and wait for it to catch up. The app all has a radial visual and you can click around the ‘dial’ in the app to ‘jump’ to that temp. However the DIAL IN THE APP IS LARGER THAN THE ACTUAL RANGE OF THE AC UNIT.

I noticed I could only use about ~12 – 3 o’clock on the radial to be in the 60 – 90 degree range. Below or above that just bugs out and typically does nothing helpful. 4. Basic WiFi functions over app like On, Off, Fan Speed, Mode, and others generally worked fine.

Just the temp control was finicky. 5. For me the WiFi HoneyWell app functions worked on 2. 4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies. ~~ Honeywell Air Comfort Alexa Skill Enablement/Link ~~ 1. In Alex app the Auto Discover/Scan Device never worked for me.

but there is hope per below. 2. Ensure to enable “Honeywell Air Comfort” skill and not the “Honeywell Home”, “Honeywell Total Connect Comfort”, or other apps. 3. Linking the Skill required me to provide the same Honeywell username info I provided to the Honeywell app itself before.

Note the linking UI for this Skill in the Alex UI has some odd looks. It prompts you for phone or email but it looks like phone only as it has the region extension by default. For me the PHONE DID NOT WORK to link.

I HAD TO USE MY EMAIL to get it to link (same as the Honeywell app. which never asked for phone but did ask for email). 4. Even after linking I found it difficult to then find the device. Auto discover failed.

For me I had to switch my phone WiFi from 5GHz to 2. 4GHz before it finally worked. Reading the Honeywell AC unit Owners Manual also says only 2. 4GHz is supported. 5. Even on 2. 4Ghz it still didn’t quite auto discover right away.

however, after tapping in circles through the Alexa app I eventually found it. Once I was on 2. 4Ghz and the Skill enabled. I just checked Devices and found it had auto discovered it on it’s own some time prior.

It is under the category of “Thermostats” then “Air Conditioner”. So it wasn’t finding it because it had already found it. guess I just wasn’t paying attention. Alas, it was finally connected. ~~ Skill Voice Commands ~~ 1.

Both the Honeywell App and Alexa had the device named as “Air Conditioner” by default. I was happy to find it also responds to “AC” by default. So “Air Conditioner” or “AC” work out of the box. Basic “Alexa, Turn ON the Air Condition” and “Alexa, Turn OFF the Air Conditioner” worked perfectly.

2. VOICE COMMAND ON/OFF: Basic “Alexa, Turn ON the Air Condition” and/or “Alexa, Turn OFF the AC” worked perfectly. 3. VOICE COMMAND TEMP CHANGE: After much frustrating I finally got this to work. In short.

the Alexa app defaulted and display FAHRENHEIT but then secretly converts it to CELSIUS when sending to the AC Unit. I checked every setting possible (Alex, Honeywell Skill, Honeywell App, AC Unit itself) and NOWHERE can I see why this is happening.

Honeywell AC Unit/App <-> Alexa Skill TEMP CONVERSION: 60 <-> 140 (Min) 69 <-> 156 75 <-> 167 90 <-> 194 (Max) So I was able to say “Alexa, change the Air Conditioner to 194 degrees”. which changed the AC to 90 F (Max).

And “Alexa, change the Air Conditioner to 140 degrees”. which changed the AC to 60 F (Min). 4. I have found voice commands that work for other settings like Fan Speed, Mode, Swing, Sleep, etc. Just On/Off and Temp Control.

Nor does the manual or onsite listing of the Honeywell product list the commands. AND the Alexa skill description itself has example commands that are clearly incorrect and/or copied from some unrelevant template.

Conclusion: After much frustration the unit does connect to WiFi, link with Alexa, and retain basic On/Off + Temp Control voice commands. It’s just quite buggy in it’s implementation. I’m not in love with it but it does meet bare minimum needs.

Hoping this app/skill logic and features get an overhaul soon. Good luck!.

I just opened and unboxed my air conditioner. I immediately saw that a plastic connector piece on the window bracket panel adapter was snapped off. It was nowhere in the box and is not something that can be reattached.

Also, with the window bracket kit if your window is a normal width you’ll have to pay a hardware store to cut the extender piece to fit your window. I will never purchase another air conditioner from this company again.

Wifi feature is great. Noise level is similar to a fan on high speed. The window bracket assembly has too many parts to it (foam, adhesive tape, etc). It also requires a screwdriver to secure the window bracket, so after all these pieces together, is a bit difficult to install/uninstall to move it around.

I had this in the bedroom and it does cool the room. I also have the classic version of this Honeywell unit and that window bracket assembly is much simpler and easy to install/uninstall making it easy to move around.

The Room Size to cool is close to 210 SF. I had an LG 6000BTU unit that I purchased second hand. It cooled well, but was very noisy and did not last through the summer. Having used Walmart in the past for online purchases, I searched for an 8000BTU unit.

This model had only one negative review and it appeared to be a manufacturer assembly or bad part inside the unit. Other reviews were great, so I ordered it with the 3yr protection plan. Shipping was free directly to me.

First it arrived two days earlier than scheduled. The unit was received in good condition. A couple days later I installed it. It fit exactly the same dimensions as the LG unit so I did not have to rework my mounting which is permanent [not a window], but does contain everything necessary to install in a window including foam.

Start up was seamless, every thing worked, and as far as quiet goes I am VERY pleased. You will be able to sleep with this one if it is installed in a bedroom. I have used it over a week and couldn’t be happier.

I purchased this unit to replace a 3ton unit that was 20 years old. Shipping was quick, it came via UPS truck service about a week after ordering, right in the beginning of the pandemic. Quality is very good.

MR COOL did not use cheap sheet metal. I am not a Hvac person by trade, and I did the install myself. it was not easy. The Mr Cool unit survived my mistakes. My last unit could not keep up during the peak of summer.

This unit has saved me hundreds so far this year alone. Everything listed on Ingrams site was marked in the box. Nothing was missing. It was packed pretty good. The bottom corner on the outside unit was dented, and that was the fault of UPS ramming pallet jacks into it and not paying attention.

Overall, very good unit for the price and very quick support from Ingrams. Every question I asked, was answered pretty quick. I will be ordering soon the Mr Cool multizone mini splits for the in-law suite we have and I will be ordering another unit like this for my downstairs area.

This is the second system I ordered in the past 5 years or so. I’m very pleased with my experience. I received the system in a few days of ordering. Packing was very well done and strong. No damage. I would highly recommend them and plan on using them again in the future if needed.

Absolutely wonderful air conditioner, cools our space quickly and is fairly quiet. However, we have had for 13 months and in the last week it has decided to leak water everywhere. Tried draining it but hardly any came out of the hose, but tons came out the side.

Still troubleshooting the issue because this is a great unit and I’d hate for the issue to escalate and ruin the AC. We will definitely replace with another Serenelife air conditioner!.

Works really nicely. The dry cycle works pretty fast. When you unplug it for dry cycle,be ready the water flows quick. The window kit needs some Mcguivering. I used pipe foam tape insulation on sides,top bottom.

Gives a nice snug fit. So far like I said brand new. Happy I went with this model. Shipping was pretty quick.

I’m very happy with this new air condition. There are two different types of BTU ratings. One says 12,000 BTU and the other says 7000 BTU, so this isn’t for a really big room. The discharge fittings at the unit and the window panel are better quality than I’ve seen in other low priced portable AC units.

Also, it has more intake area than other low priced units. For the money I’m very satisfied. Also delivery was right on time.

I received my MrCool HVAC unit on Wednesday, April 14. Last evening I removed the shrink wrap, the tattered plastic bag, and cardboard that encased the unit and discovered the cabinet to be damaged and I am very unhappy about this.

Although the damage appears to be cosmetic for the most part, it is difficult to understand what caused the damage – the pallet the unit shipped on shows no sign or damage nor does the cardboard in the damaged area.

In addition, the manner in which the unit was packaged wrapped with bits of cardboard (as opposed to a one piece cardboard sleeve) that appear to have been cut from the original packaging, and the torn plastic bag, suggest this unit has been returned to Ingram.

I am attaching 3 photos: the first one (MRCOOL_DAMAGE_1) is of the cardboard pieces protecting the exterior of the unit that I question was shipped from the factory with, the second photo (MRCOOL_DAMAGE_2) shows the exterior front left bottom corner where one panel has a kink and is pushed out and the adjacent panel is also pushed out, and the third photo (MRCOOL_DAMAGE_3) shows damage to the cooling fins of the evaporator? coil*.

* The damaged exterior panels were removed to inspect for any additional damage to the unit where none was found. Damage to the cooling fins in a completely different location was however discovered, and , this damage could only have occurred with the exterior panel(s) removed and could not have occurred during shipping.

The MrCool documentation specifically cautions against damage to these cooling fins which leaves me to conclude the unit did not ship from the factory this way. ! Because of the unusual condition of the packaging and damage to the cooling fins inside the unit, I strongly suspect this unit has been returned and that the damage could not have occurred during shipping.

I sincerely hope Ingram will resolve this situation to my satisfaction without hesitation or hassle. I will wait for your response before contacting MrCool directly. Your immediate attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated! John.

Our old unit went out so by the time we pay to get it fixed we were better off buying a new one. My nephew works for Ingrams Water & Air Equipment in Hickory, KY. He told us the units they sell so my husband went their.

Glad he went!!! It is awesome!!! Every time someone comes to our house, they say “it’s too hot” or “it’s too cold”!!! Highly recommend this unit!!! The staff where we bought it from is awesome and so was the person who installed it!!!.

The unit was delivered in great shape and we approved. We took off the old unit and put the Ingrams unit on. It hooked up great and worked the first time we tried it, both heat and cold.
