20 Best Adhesive For Vinyl Flooring (2022 Updated)

I used this for vinyl baseboards. I had initially tried baseboard glue (maybe works on thicker vinyl but w/ absolutely no tack, I found it impossible to use) but this was MUCH easier and held way better.

When first applied it could sometimes be tough to get the baseboards to stick flush in some places (areas w/ bumps, old glue, holes), but miraculously when left alone for a few hours it seemed to tighten the adhesion and pull the baseboards evenly against the wall.

Definitely recommend for this application.

I used this tape to help secure some vinyl peel and stick tiles over top of an existing vinyl floor. Most of the tiles stuck well with the adhesive backing they already had, but a few would not stick no matter what I tried – this tape solved that problem for me and worked brilliantly! Very strong and easy to use.

This tape is a very strong and tacky. Bond is instant. Used it to reapply cork 12×12 square tiles to a vertical cinder brick wall. And in a area with no climate control. Coden, AL. High heat and humidity, early August.

Worked just fine.

I bought this to glue together 2 tarps from Home Depot. I applied the glue as instructed, but the glue did not hold under any pressure. Nothing like the glue used to manufacture the tarp. The tarps are not labeled with what they are made of, so it is entirely possible they are not vinyl at all.

And this product is not suitable for gluing these tarp together. My point is that I tried it on both the blue and grey tarps that are commonly available, and it did not work. Maybe there is a tarp out there made out of vinyl that this stuff works on, but I never found it.

I would have to rate this product a 10 on a scale that 10 is outstanding product. It’s nice that you are able to apply the adhesive with the brush exactly where you need ,something you can’t do with spray adhesive.

I contracted Pulmonary Fibrosis from molds in the metal working oils that we used to protect the tooling on the job.

Used it on my Hobie i11S inflatable kayak to hold down my Scotty rod mounts (with flexible PVC pad). Works fantastic! The pads have never come up, not even at the edges. And they have been used under pretty extreme conditions (flex, water, heat).

I also used it to join some PVC sprinkler pipe as it was an emergency repair and I didn’t have any PVC pipe cement. Also worked great for that.

Versatile, Durable, Multi Purpose Adhesive! I use it mostly for plastics repair because it sets quickly, I can sit the part down and come back to it after it has cured. No holding for 30 minutes or clamping.

After curing, the excess adhesive sands off and I can buff out the repair to a shine. Repairs are virtually undetectable. I also left a repair soaking in dishwater for a few hours (I forgot it) and the pieces were unaffected.

Overall I give this product 5 Stars for plastic repairs. Locktite is a name I trust from years working with old cars.

I love this glue! It works on a wide range of products. I especially like it to repair fabric with it. I have used it to fix a wood doll bed, and countless Plastic toys. There have been a few times where it did not work and it just peeled off.

This is NOT the Glue’s fault, it just is not the right Glue for the job. It is like anything – you need the right tool to do the job. I love this glue, it has fixed many things around our home and they stay fixed! I can’t live without this stuff! In fact, I am getting ready to put another tube on my next order.

This product says it works on plastic so I purchased it to repair the cracks on the top corners of my litter boxes. It doesn’t work at all! As soon as I picked up the top tray with the pine litter to roll it, the two sides came apart again, the glue had absolutely no effect on it.

I only use 1 inch of pine litter so it wasn’t too heavy. I also tried this product to glue a small mirror on my jewelry cabinet but it kept falling off. I had to take it in and have it professionally done.

I’m looking for a glue that will do what it promises as I need my litter boxes! I don’t recommend this glue.

I needed to attach some foam mats to a board for a dance floor. I sanded and washed and dried before applying. The gorilla glue cured for a week and then the phone was able to be just peeled off easily.

I guess I’ll need to stick with the brand I’ve used for years that never fails me it’s like nails. I won’t be buying this type of Gorilla glue anymore. It’s alot more pricey too!.

I couldn’t had tried this product at a better time because I needed to repair a few roof tiles and amazingly this product, Gorilla Heavy Duty Ultimate Construction Adhesive, worked better than expected.

You have to apply this very carefully and I used gloves when using. This product can literally be used on any material and is paintable (big +). So far my roof tiles have held up against some strong winds and rain.

Oh yes, and I forgot to mention, it’s waterproof!.

I received a tube of Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive from Try It Sampling for free in exchange for my review. This is some heavy duty stuff ! We used it to fix a broken lawn chair and broken mailbox.

Heavy duty hold and application was seamless. Be careful not to get on clothes though, kinda tough to get out. Seems to be holding up to the elements. Its rained quite a bit here and no budge.

Im a fan of their tape so I had high hopes for this adhesive and it didnt disappoint. It did set quickly but i still had enough time to adjust my object. I used it outside so I was happy to see that this glue is waterproof and works with multiple surfaces as I was gluing a thick plastic to concrete.

Even though I needed this for a specific project – its awesome to know that its very versatile and it can be sanded and painted as well.

In my many years as a classroom art teacher, I have learned to add Gorilla glue to my supply list. I teach pre-k to 8th grade, typically; with variations on grade level ranges. Why would an elementary art teacher need such a strong adhesive? I needed this because I teach children, and children drop, break, and simply play with things until they fall to pieces.

Despite my best efforts to teach children about the function and purpose of decorative arts, I have had a line up of 5 to 12-year-olds year round with art pieces that left my classroom carefully packaged in 1 piece; and returned sometime later in several pieces.

This glue has never been given to children, and I have made sure that all “doctoring” of art pieces happens after class. Gorilla glue bonds basically any surface to any surface, and this stuff was even more effective than the foamy yellow nonsense I used to use.

Clear grip will take the ceramic ear of your Second Grade child’s bunny mug and reattach to look like new. I have repaired clay pottery like a pro, with absolutely no training in this type of skill. The trick I made up is to add dabs of glue with a Q-tip to each side of the break, and then gently put the pieces together.

Next I use masking tape or painter’s tape to make sure the cracked area is firmly “clamped” in place. I hold the pieces sometimes for delicate breaks, and this glue sets quite quickly and almost effortlessly.

Whether I drop someone’s coffee mug, or someone comes to me with a headless sculpture in need of “immediate surgery”, this glue is always in my “teacher only cabinet” for instant fixing.

Quite similar to an old favorite called “The Welder. ” It differs from “Goop” or “E6000” in that it flows much nicer than those and doesn’t “ball” up as much when spread out. This adhesive is perhaps best suited for patching rubber-type products (such as floor mats), especially when used with fiberglass backing cloth.

Just be sure to thoroughly scuff the surface you’re gluing beforehand. Gorilla claims this adhesive is UV resistant, but I highly doubt that and would coat any exposed areas. Gorila says the adhesive is waterproof, but it shouldn’t be used where there is constant immersion or in below the water line applications.

This product can be used to fill in smaller-sized gaps- which can especially helpful in areas where flexibily is important- but the product’s thinness means runs can be a problem when applying on vertical surfaces.

Larger gap filling should be done incrementally (as in, apply product, allow it to dry for a day or 2, then re-apply) rather than doing it in one big glob, as the product may never cure properly. This glue has a very long shelf life as long as you keep the cap on tight.

The tube I’m using is several years old now, yet but it still works fine.

So I bought this glue for a craft project because the E5000 smells so bad/strong and it really gets to you after awhile. However the gorilla glue is basically the exact same glue and it also smells. I would buy which ever one has the best price.

It worked well for my projects. It’s messy as it’s in a tube and continues to ooze out. Also the metal tubes get holes in them as you roll them up. If you’ve never used it before it is essentially a strong rubber glue.

I was gluing glass with it and it holds strong, but even after it dried for a few days I could pull it apart if I didn’t like what I did and rub the glue off to start over. Thats a plus for me because I change my mind a lot.

Loctite makes the best adhesives. Durable and long lasting without any splitting or separation. I used this tube for sealing up some areas in an outdoor storage shed. It has multiple uses though. Flowed easy without any issue.

Nice spreadability with a putty knife or even my wet finger. The Loctite PL 3x expanded some which is helpful and it dried in a reasonable amount of time.

As with everything that Gorilla makes, it works really well. It truly is a great adhesive. That said, make sure you want to REALLY adhere the object to the other object before using this. Gorilla adhesive and any of their products work extremely well and won’t disappoint.

It’s great for various crafting and other general household needs. I may add that it is reasonably priced as well. It’s above and beyond other adhesives out there with the same purposes/needs. Highly recommend.

I bought to fix on my car the rubber seal on the door. I bought for this purpose in the past and know again for other side on my car. I can proof the glue is fantastic for this job. Nearly immediately grab! Transparent glue, what is important decision for me to buy for this problem.

Waterproof what is proofed. I can Recommending for fast, last longer solution.

his is only part of my order. I never received Andersen PS68/FWG68 Operating Panel Jamb Weatherstrip (Inside) in White – White × So I now have a tube of glue and no weatherstripping to glue! Sent from my iPhone.

I bought a house with an old Andersen sliding door and windows. I found the parts I needed for the slider and they were a perfect fit. Now I need parts for the windows and I’m about to place that order.

I’m a very satisfied customer.

Very expensive. Not certain how to attach since it came with no instructions and/or pictures. Ordered several parts without guidance since no one at customer service answered the phone after (3) calls and 30+ minutes on hold.
