20 Best Air Cleaners For Allergies (2022 Updated)

My favorite new household item! My son suffers from terrible allergies. He has about 15 and most of those are related to mold dust and dander. We have a dog and we had no idea that the allergies were related to her so to have an air purifier that actually helps my son to not sneeze is so important.

It’s a quiet machine it filters the air and I’m always worried about it because we have a dog and fish and I cook a lot. We also leave the doors open and any of the other natural allergens are in our house at any given time because the windows are open.

Some seasons have been harder but this little machine has been really awesome. It was so easy that my 10-year-old set it up for me. It really took about 10 minutes or less to get it going and we use it as needed but it works.

I also like that there is an app. It makes it really easy to control and there is a way you can lock it on top so if you have a baby or a little one who likes to play with buttons it doesn’t even look like it’s on, the lights go dim and you can’t see that it’s on.

It’s actually really cool. I’m really impressed of the technology and absolutely love this air purifier. What a difference it makes!.

I bought a Levoit 400S and 2 smaller Winix units at Home Depot. The Levoit 400S is excellent and the controls and features are nice. I like the particulate counter and the easy to understand air quality ring indicators.

The unit is very quiet at low speeds but still moves a good amount of air. Also excels at removing cooking odors. The 2 Winix units I was not so pleased with. They were noisier and one was vibrating excessively; from a mechanical viewpoint that is a bad sign.

So I replaced both Winix with the Levoit 400S, now I have 3 and I am very pleased. Of course the local Home Depot having the 400S on sale for $99. 99 also helped. I researched the Levoit brand and was sold on all of the positive reviews and awards.

This all started with me viewing the Hunter HP450 on HSN; I feel like I got a much better product in the form of the Levoit 400S. I don’t mind the bigger size 400S for the bedrooms they are so good and quiet they are worth making room for.

But of corse if that is an issue Levoit has a smaller unit that I am sure is just as excellent.

Pros: —Purchased my 211+ Auto directly from Blueair in July 2021 and several months later the control button on top of unit stopped working. It happens – an inconvenience but not a big deal. Contacted Blue Air and a replacement unit was shipped out to me and I returned the original unit at no cost to me.

Kudos to Blue Air folks for honoring their warranty and replacing my faulty unit promptly! —Love the fact that Blueair offers a “First responders” and “Military personnel” discount – much appreciated! —The 211+ Auto moves a lot of air on the second speed without too much white noise which is what I was looking for in an air purifier! The unit sucks in air from all four sides of the machine and sends air out of the top of the machine – nice.

—This unit was recommended by Consumer Reports as was the 211+. However, the Auto version is more energy efficient and has a sensor with an “Auto” speed setting which are the primary reasons I chose it over the 211+.

Cons: —The prefilter skirt does not hold up very well. After weekly vacuuming and washing it every few months the stitching comes loose. I have purchased two OEM replacements during the past year and I recommend having a spare on hand for when needed.

—The OEM filter that came with my first unit was great. I cranked the air purifier up and the air coming out of the top of the unit smelled fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the OEM filter that came with my replacement unit had a sour smell that lasted about 2-3 weeks before it dissipated.

I had hoped that was just a one off situation. However, the brand new OEM filter that I recently installed also has that same sour smell (it is hard to forget). My unit has been running 24/7 for almost a week so I am thinking that I am going to need to wait another week like the last time before the sour smell subsides.

I find it ironic that OEM filters that are supposed to improve air quality by reducing air particles and odors actually created bad odors during the initial weeks of use in my case. I have thought about trying a third party compatible filter but I read that will void my warranty and I suspect that the filter specs would be different from a third party supplier anyway.

There is a lot to like about this machine but I hate to think that I may need to repeat this process when I install a new Blueair OEM filter. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this otherwise excellent air purifier until I am confident that the filter odor issue I experienced with two out of three filters has been resolved.

I have another sealed back-up OEM filter that I purchased and will see how that filter performs when I install it in approximately 6 months. I plan on doing a review update at that time.

I bought a 211+ last fall and was so pleased with the performance that I decided to buy a second unit for the family room. Instead I bought a 211+ Auto and the improvement over an already awesome machine in kind of mind-blowing.

The older unit is in the family room in the basement and I put the new 211+Auto in the living room. It’s so so so quiet. But I love the way it kicks in when it senses pollutants/irritants in the air.

If I cook anything that smokes (e. g. , tortillas in a cast iron pan), I can hear the Auto kick into a higher gear until it has cleaned the air sufficiently and lowers the fan automatically. The effectiveness of the filters is good enough that I’ve seen a clear improvement in my allergies and a decrease in my need for extra allergy meds.

Typically in the spring and summer I need to double my allergy meds (2x per day) to keep my asthma under control but I’ve only needed a second dose once or twice this year! I also love the pre-filters.

It’s easy to see when it’s time to change the pre-filter. They’re easy to change, easy to wash, and a great way to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the units. Finally, I appreciate the filter replacement subscription.

It significantly reduces the mental & organizational friction of maintaining the units and keeps my indoor air quality as high as possible year round. When I received my first replacement filter, I thought to myself, meh, it hasn’t been THAT long; maybe I can save some money and squeeze a little more time out of the old filter.

Then I compared the old filter to the new one and the difference between the two made it clear that 1) the filter had worked hard for 6 months, and 2) a new filter would ensure continued good results.

I purchased the Pure 211+Auto about a month ago after researching air purifiers reviews. We live in East Texas, where we have beautiful spring blooms, but horrible pollen problems almost year round, especially in the spring.

Since using Blueair Pure+Auto, our allergies are significantly reduced this spring. I particularly like that this model automatically adjusts to the amount of particulate matter in the air. When I initially set it up and turned it on, it ran on a more robust speed with the yellow indicator showing, but since then it has been on a low quiet setting with the blue indicator on.

The purifier is very quiet; we don’t even notice it in the at night during sleep hours. I had bought a purifier years ago, but it wasn’t that efficient and was loud, like a blower dryer on low setting.

Another aspect that I like about this purifier is that it is made for a specific size room, so you’re not buying a model that is over or under the air space capacity that can happen with a “one-size fits all” purifier.

So glad I purchased this purifier.

Overall, this non-“Max”, non-wifi version is a solid performer that’s sharply distinguished by a modernist aesthetic that suites a wide variety of interiors and styles. That thoughtful design extends to its utilitarian, no-nonsense tech features, which work and respond seamlessly.

The true HEPA and activated carbon filters are sizeable, robust and enable this unit to handle rooms up 1000 sq. ft. The auto and sleep modes tend to maintain a low volume; its highest speeds can get fairly loud but are hardly ever necessary.

Generally, aside from filter changes, which are a breeze, the only thing that might interrupt its set-and-forget experience is catching a glint of its stylish looks as you walk by. There are, of course, some alternatives: Coway’s Mighty and 200M perform better in small rooms and tend to be exceptionally quiet; but they do look like appliances.

The Blue Pure 211+ has a tweedlike appearance that’s almost as attractive and should perform better in larger rooms, which the far pricier Coway Airmega 300-400 range definitely would. But if you’re an interior design aficionado and not the world’s lightest sleeper who plans to park your purifier inches away from your head at night, the Bissell Air320 is an excellent choice.

Overall I like this filter but I’m not sure how well it actually filters. I bought this filter to reduce wildfire smoke inside, it arrived after the smoke was gone, there’s always next year. The air quality meter appears to be quite sensitive, it normally sits at two or three but jumped up to sixty whilst cooking bacon, it was in the next room and the bacon was not burnt, cooked perfectly medium and delicious! The meter will also climb slightly when the windows and doors are open so perhaps it cleans the inside air to less particulates than outside.

I am in a rural area with normally very clear air outside. The LED has always remained blue so I guess the air would need to be quite bad to bump it to yellow or red. I only have a few weeks of running it 24/7 on automatic mode so I can’t comment on how well it actually filters nor on it’s electricity usage.

I have never noticed the fan speed increase and at low speed Its very quite but not silent, not loud enough to prevent sleep, on top speed it’s very loud. The lighting is subtle and does turn off when the room is dark and reacts quickly.

The entire machine looks nice, it’s solid and assembled well but it’s not the most convenient thing to move, the weight, shape and handholds require two hands, you need to put the vacuum down, move it, then clean under it, if the back hand hold was deeper you could pick it up out of your way whilst sweeping or vacuuming.

Another improvement recommendation would be an improved filter selection, it would be nice to have a HEPA 4 option even if the sealing around the filter would not allow the certification. I would like to have a HEPA 4 in place of the charcoal filter, or even two HEPA filters stacked but the thickness don’t allow for this, I’m not sure how that would affect the noise level or the airflow, but the point is to clean the air and charcoal does little to help clean the air IMO.

This stays on “Auto” Mode year round in my main living area for general air cleaning. But, here in Oregon sadly our wildfire season has gotten worse and worse each year. Last year was the worst I had ever seen it.

When my regular old WINIX HEPA and air washers just couldn’t seem to keep up with demand of the smoke seeping into the home knew I had to finally upgrade. All the local store were even sold out of furnace filter because people were buying those to strap onto box fans in hopes of doing makeshift filters.

Bissell truly saved the day with dropping this produced when they did and what a quality one at that. I was in love with the style at first sight but it is truly where form meets function so a round of applause to the design team! Now over a year later I have moved home and am sadly dealing with a landlord that is refusing to handle very long established mold issues that I sadly moved into discover.

So it’s a second Bissell Air Purifier to the rescue while this gets handled through the sadly slow legal and code enforcement process. Oh and even the Mold specialist that I had to have come do all the test was amazed by it and asked that I send her the link to the product so I could get the points or rewards for her buying one too(hint, hint, nudge, nudge, Bissell that would be cool if you offered a referral rewards program for customers).

Anyways, thank you Bissell for at least giving me some peace of mind for my children and myself.

After a huge amount of research I landed on the 250, after a fast deliver we placed in the open plan lounge/kitchen. 24hours later, the house feels fresher, I can’t put my finger on it but it really does the job.

We bought it for the impending fire season but its now on auto all the time. on low its whisper quiet, med is as loud as our fridge and high is a noticeable fan which we haven’t experienced at all. we’ve been so happy with this that we went out and bought a 150 for the bedroom.

However, on receiving this and running it overnight, it found itself in UPS on the way home as it was noticeably noisier than the 250 and I guess you can say we have been spoilt. So if you’re looking for a 700-1,200 Sqft cover I doubt there is anything on the market that will stand up to this.

Oh and we live in a contemporary home so the fact it looks like a retro speaker and not something from sharper image helped us alot 🙂 Hightly reccomened.

We recently had asbestos abated out of our basement. I wanted an air purifier that would ease my mind when it came to the AQ down there. It covers the whole square footage! I was drawn to the design of this purifier (I like its boxiness and that it’s inconspicuous–not that blaring white every unit seems to be these days).

I did not want a “smart” unit either. The color coded system easily lets you know the quality of your air. This unit does not create ozone either since it is not an ionizing purifier. The Airmega 250 packs a lot of power without breaking the bank.

Excellent and quick customer service too. Highly recommend.

This air purifier works very well and pleased with purchase. I really wanted the WiFi model where I could connect remotely. I purchased the WiFi model and I could never connect or get help with connecting it to WiFi – I have a reputable Wifi Service and cannot believe that this would not connect after paying over $400.

I purchased the non WiFi model because I liked the way this purifier cleaned the air. Good Product – Bad WiFi product which is too bad.

This is an excellent air purifier for a small space, but I don’t recommend it for a large room. The touch panels are easy to use, and there is a control for the light intensity. There are also filter reminder buttons which light up, and are very useful to remind you to check the pre-filter and HEPA filter.

you’ll be amazed at how much material gets trapped in the charcoal prefilter, which can be cleaned with a vacuum and reused. there are two larger models you should consider for larger rooms. I’ll have four separate speeds.

On low speed, they are very quiet. I happen to like the “white noise sound“ generated at high speed. Each person has his own preferences. I own two of the smallest units, and three of the largest units, and have not had any problems with any Honeywell product.

My niece also bought one for her house, and has the same experience.

Very quiet on the lowest setting, you barely hear it. Highest setting is still quieter than my Honeywell tower purifier. I live in an area where a lot of dust gets in. It’s also a wildfire zone. Plus, my neighbors smoke cigarettes and weed and it comes into my apartment.

I thought this would be a good choice for filtering things like that (I can’t speak to the fire yet) and a lot of people in the reviews said it’s worked great for them in those cases, but I haven’t really noticed a difference so far.

I am using it in a small living room. I’m not sure that makes a significant difference since it’s still around the recommended range for the size unit I got. Everything considered, I’d still recommend it for a bedroom space, if you don’t have any major air quality concerns.

Honeywell hepoa filters, really some of the best. I bought the HPA200 and its a lot of machine for a small room HOWEVER the CADR smoke filtration rating jumps from 100 to 200. All of the categories do.

I wanted the hpa300 but it wasn’t available in-store. I thought I’d move the 200 to the family room and get this smaller one for the office room but I think I’ll just get another hpa200. My state has a 40 rebate on the 200 and the energy star rating made it so I believe.

I would buy this if I couldn’t afford the larger unit. basically this is one hepa filter, the 200 is 2, and the 300 is three filters in one unit so replacing every year, we need to consider that expense also.

Good product but I’m not surprised at seeing people complain of the lack of smoke filtration. This has half the ability of the HPA200 by Honeywell.

Love that the wood paneled front matches my other finishings and makes this unit look very sleek in my home. Also love the light indicators, which conveniently and accurately show how much & just how badly the air quality changes.

The light range goes: purple (worst) – red – orange – green – blue (best). I use my purifier nonstop in a 590sq. ft. studio condo that is on a shared HVAC vent system in a very large (300+ unit) building; I often find a lot of dust and debris from other units get blown into mine as a result.

So it took some time for the purifier light to turn from purple to green, and still has yet to hit blue, but I blame the building ventilation system and construction in my adjacent neighbor’s unit, and not my Alen purifier.

Here’s another reason why. Before using this, my cat was starting to get bad coughing attacks that seemed to get worse in the weeks after we moved in. I was also waking up unusually congested every morning and sometimes noticing this midday as well.

Since using this, even at times when the light indicator is orange (just ‘average’ quality), my cat is no longer coughing, and I can actually breathe when I wake up. I’m looking forward to finding out how our breathing will improve further once this purifier hits blue.

I should also note that, in such a small, open layout space, the purifier did seem pretty loud at purple and even red, but is mere white noise at orange, and I barely notice it at green. Can’t wait to (not) hear this at all once it hits blue.

Based on how much crud it has captured on the prefilter in the first month alone, this purifier is clearly doing its job. All in all, my household has experienced obvious improvements in air quality since getting this purifier and have no regrets about going with this model for our space!.

This thing (Alen 75i) is unbelievable. I originally bought this as my wife has struggled with allergies for years and now takes allergy shots and over-the-counter allergy medication too. It only takes about 20 minutes for you notice that breathing becomes so much easier and it feels as though your lungs are a lot clearer.

I noticed it almost immediately and could not believe that it made such a huge difference is so little time. My wife and I love the 75i. I got one for her home office and we have one in the master bedroom.

I even sent my parents one. They are old school skeptics and did not even open the box for the first two days even though I asked to just give it a 30-minute try. They immediately noticed a difference and love theirs.

I had a Blue Air purifier maybe a week before I read the Consumer Reports ratings. Once I read that CR scored the Alen 75i higher than the Blue Air I jumped online and ordered one. We were sold on the Blue Air because it too cleans the air however the Alen is so much quieter and it is a solid machine which seems as though it would last longer than the Blue Air.

Again, I’m not knocking the Blue air Purifier but we use that in the basement where we have our gym because it is louder. The Alen 75i looks gorgeous with the Graphite Cover and the Filters are substantial.

I got the annual automatic filter renewal too. We have Alen 75i purifiers in the office for my wife, the master bedroom, and the family room. This has truly been a blessing. My wife has significantly less allergy symptoms and it significantly improves the quality of your sleep.

She no longer snores at night. Lol.

My husband was told by his doctor to get a hepa air purifier for the bedroom to help with his allergies. We researched our options and decided on the BreatheSmart Flex for two reasons. A larger Alen air purifier was chosen the best unit by Consumer Reports for 2022 and we wanted to buy from a company whose main product was air purifiers not toaster ovens or coffee pots.

Our purifier arrived within a week of purchase. It was packaged with engineering precision (think Apple product. ) I love the way it looks and it was very easy to set up. We installed the filter and plugged it in.

The flex unit has 4 speeds. We leave it on 24/7 usually at speed 2 or 3. During the night we turn it to speed 1 and it is so quiet I have gotten out of bed to see if it is working. Does it work? My husband has been sleeping better, less sneezing and nose blowing.

But the real pollen season for our area is just getting started, so we are cautiously optimistic. I have noticed that the kitchen odors we sometimes smelled in our second floor bedroom are nonexistent.

Finally, I like the replacement filter subscription plan. We signed up when we registered our air purifier. It makes sense to use an Alen filter in our unit because it’s only going to work as well as the filter you use.

The Honeywell HPA250B (310 Sq Ft Air Purifier with Bluetooth) is very quiet and it’s specifications include a very good air throughput for a small home or medium-sized room. The fan at it’s low setting is barely noticeable and even at the high/Turbo setting is quieter than I’d expected–it’s rather helpful white noise and I’ve yet to have a significant test of an especially dusty incident or smoky condition but noticed some odor reduction of pet odor.

(The unit has a charcoal pre-filter meant to reduce odor before the HEPA filter). The Honeywell App is easy to pair to the unit via Bluetooth although I think a WiFi connection would be better so an app could be used anywhere to turn the unit on/off or change settings instead of being within Bluetooth range.

The air purifier needs to be re-connected in the app menu setting when I open it on my tablet (an automatic connection would be an improvement). One plus is the Bluetooth connection is instant–no lag time in pressing a button on the app and seeing the unit change modes or modify the timer setting.

The control panel on top of the unit controls almost all the same features on the application (the app has one feature–a predicted allergen level that requires location service and internet access to retrieve allergen forecasts from AccuWeather).

I did find a few broken page links inside the app, so maintenance on Kaz’s website is not keeping it indexed very well but this does not impact the features that control and schedule operation of the unit.

The purifier is heaver than I had expected–14 lbs– which could contribute to it’s quiet operation–it’s not light enough to move around or rattle like cheaper fans tend to. The included HEPA filters are to last a year but the carbon pre-filter supplied is only a 3-4 month supply–I would have preferred the manufacturer include pre-filters to match the life of the HEPA filter.

I would have liked to give this a 5/5, but the broken pages in the application, inclusion of only 1 pre-filter, and problems with BestBuy’s fulfillment of this order is cause enough to remove a star.

I do think it’s the best purchase in this category, just some areas of improvement to warrant a perfect rating.

I have two pretty fluffy cats that produce a lot of dander and stray hairs in the air, and this air purifier has been doing an excellent job of minimizing how much of it makes it to the surfaces in my room.

Breathing air quality also shows near-immediate improvements from the first few hours of use. I’ve been leaving it running on its lowest setting (“Germ”) and it is barely discernable over my air conditioner, however, the best balance between noise and efficiency seems to be the “General Clean” setting.

This results in a clearly audible fan, which may be too distracting for some, but makes for great white noise while going to sleep. There are two more fan/filtering intensity settings, “Allergen” and “Turbo”, which I have not felt the need to use — both are incredibly loud, and may be better suited for times when you aren’t in the room, but want to purify the air as fast as possible.

The built-in shutoff timer operates in hourly increments, and would pair well with such a use case. Bluetooth functionality on this model allow you to control it entirely remotely via your smartphone.

Nothing to write home about, here, it’s just a typical remote control. The unit does not come with its own physical remote. Installing/replacement filters is extremely simple, but do be mindful that the filter cover clicks in and out of place with a plunger switch.

Don’t do what I did, and assume it clips into place! Simply push into the lid to remove it from the base. Replacement filters for this purifier are sold in convenient kits that provide the average user with a year’s worth of filtration.

Do keep this annual cost in mind when considering a product such as this; it needs maintenance the same as any other air filter.

I purchased this purifier a few weeks ago. I will buy another one (same one) soon for my downstairs. I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets a little smelly, especially in the winter months when you cannot open the windows.

I noticed the animal smell was gone the next day when I came home from work. My son’s bedroom is in the basement and he said coming upstairs he can definitely tell a difference. He’s the one that requested another device downstairs.

The device is not too loud. Usually I turn it on medium throughout the day and I don’t even notice it and it’s on turbo at night when sleeping. I have the device in my living room and sleep with my bedroom door open.

I hear it, but it’s not too loud. Only thing I wish it had, but I have not seen this on any purifiers out there, I wish you could have it emit a chosen smell. Like lilacs or cookies.

We have had Honeywell HPA300 for 2 months and run it continuously on highest setting the entire time. The noise level is not bothersome and helps create white noise for sleep and privacy with folks working from home.

We feel it helps with allergies to our dog and with drawing out dust and other particles in the air. Our dog actually likes to sit near it. Easy set up. Can get a higher grade prefilter too. Quickly removes particles from cooking when near kitchen.

We have no stove vent so windows & this are our only tools now. We got it & 4 other Honeywell air purifiers to support overall house air filtration based on years of scientific research on indoor air quality that is now useful to prevent COVID infection.

We can’t find a MERV13 filter for our HVAC system so these assist in clearing air particles. Please keep carrying Honeywell, Chewy.

Very quiet on the lowest setting. Not too bad on the 2nd setting. Fairly loud on the highest setting. Very loud on turbo. Easy to operate and understand. When you get it and go to set up be careful opening the cover for the filters.

Do not pull!! You push on each side to remove the cover. If you pull you will break the cover. Luckily I had read about this before I got it. The design of the outside is ok but may not be too everyones liking.

I personally like the design. Know that the unit is pretty large at 22 inches tall x 18. 5 inches wide.

These Honeywell HPA model “tombstone shape” air cleaners work reliably and well. I used a PM2. 5 level measuring air quality meter to check how fast and how well they worked, and was very impressed by how quickly they change a rooms air form bad to good.

This during California fire season / smoke filled air situations where I live. All in this family. HPA 100 / 200 /300 / 5100 and 5300 work well. I’ve tested all of those in my home. They also all use the exact same type R HEPA filter (some use 1, others 2, others 3) so if you have more than one in different sizes, you still need stock for replacements only one kind of HEPA filter.

These are very popular models (highly recommended by many reviewers, including Consumer Reports. Because there are so many of these out there, and because they all use the same HEPA filter, quite a number of third parties make alternative replacement filters at prices half that of what Honeywell charges for its filters, and which work as well or at least functionally as well.

Asking for a review so here it is, after two weeks usage. I purchased the BioGS and the A2, but returned the BioGS after seeing the quality of the carbon filter. Carbon is a very cheap material, but they chose to only add a quarter of what the honeycombed plastic holder would hold.

So it was rejected without bothering to turn it on as it is just basically a hepa filter, and there are cheaper ones. With the A2, I noticed my old house did not have the usual odor of old house as strongly as it did.

But I wonder why Rabbit Air did not use 1. Cardboard inserts in the packaging for shipping the machine. Other companies, especially if they are involved in helping clean up the planet, use ALL recycled material.

I now have pieces of styrofoam I have to deal with at the dump. And 2. The replaceable filters have hard plastic holding them together. This is just not necessary, and something that is going to be trash in a few months could be make out of something recyclable.

To replace the filters in a few months, I would love to see hard cardboard or a corn based, compostable plastic product. As for the efficiency of the A2, I am undecided. It appears to be coming on when it senses odors, but the carbon odor filter, which was the most important thing to me, was also not filled so I can see spaces where the air can just circumvent the carbon.

And the machine is really **** and in the way. You aren’t supposed to have it in a corner, and they recommend putting it 3-5′ in the air, so not sure how that is supposed to work in a small house. A round esthetic shape would have been much more discreet.

So that’s my thoughts. For the money, it could have been so much better, more carbon, smaller footprint, no styrofoam, no plastic filters. But I was also looking at replacement overall, and the 5 year warranty is making me most likely to keep it.

I’m glad I have time to try it out.

so I am in the market for an additional air purifier. I have two hunter less than $200 models but I decided I wanted a better one for my house. I bought my Rabbit about 3 years ago. Never broke (knock on wood) all indicators work as explained, can be quiet and even high setting is louder but no unpleasant.

I bought it for my bedroom, but after covid I decided to use it in my massage room as a therapist I run the unit while working in my office and feel more protected from virus. I have bought three filters in 3 years.

you can vacuum the per filter that will make it last longer. there are five filters and you can pick a special one, I have bought the pet dander filter for my massage room, and odor filter. both work well.

it is an either or when buying special filters. fyi Odor filter is similar to the one that comes with the unit. The filters are in a set pack so you do need to buy the entire filter, pricey but effective.

I would rate this five stars. The only thing is it is a bit expensive. But after reading reviews of other purifiers breaking and bad service, I decided to spend the extra money and go with this rabbit again that has not broken and works well for the last three years.

Bought this 2 or 3 yrs. ago. I didn’t buy the right size but I live with it. I came on today, figuring I’ll buy another, only bigger (although I don’t have a lot of room). I landed on the blue-tooth version.

I know nothing about blue-tooth but I read the reviews. Per one reviewer, her cover doesn’t stay on. Mine stayed on the first time. When I changed the filter (don’t be deceived – the filters don’t last long and I live alone), The cover has never stayed on.

I have pushed, looked it over to see if there were screws that needed tightening, push the filters as far back as possible and the cover still won’t stay put. The red ‘change filter’ light is always on.

Yes, it must be filtering since I always seem to be changing the filters (which aren’t cheap) because they’re filthy (I’m not!!). The box is probably in the basement so I tipped it over to get the number (104).

Once again, it’s made in China. I should have known. I’ll add that they really upped the price. I know I paid at least half of what it is now. I’ll look for something else. Also, I wipe it down. The air comes thru the front and disperses thru the top.

I can take the front off (as I said, the cover doesn’t stay on.

I purchased the Rabbit Air Purifier in February 2022 mostly to help alleviate cigarette smoke form my downstairs neighbor. I still smell smoke where it originates from inside the two closest doors however the hall way and the rest of the condo is perfectly fine.

I can tell the difference with the purifier going 24/7. I’m very pleased and comfortable with the results. Although it is pricer than other purifiers, it was worth the money for cleaner air. I had tried a less expensive brand from Walmart but returned it for the Rabbit Air.

Another plus is the customer service is outstanding. The agent I spoke to for quite some time did not rush me through my questions, explained everything to me, was very patient and kind. Could not have asked for more.

I wanted to wait a while before leaving my review. I’m glad I did as fallen in love with it. Firstly it’s so stylish, fits in easily. It’s not huge but it’s large enough to more than effectively do the job.

How quiet it is multiple times got me questioning was it working correctly and wow it was. That was huge for me as I have tinnitus and at times secondary noise can interfere with hearing people speak,.

not a problem with this. Its easy to learn how to use. I fully read the instructions and watched a few videos but feel you could get this up and running quickly and as you want to tweet things catch up in depth on the instructions then which is great not everyone had time to read loads of material.

The functions are vast and until you have gone through the instructions a little bewildering but I found after one read it grasped it all and van now work it with ease. The app is good but temperamental at times but cools to see how it’s doing.

After a month of use I can genuinely say it’s made a difference. I have a genetic lung disease plus acute ensophilic asthma so my chest is easily set off by pathogens. I truly believe this has helped especially with coughs and colds,.

I also think my plants like it too! Our cat still gives it the stare or two but my kids think it’s helped them sleep better,. they feel the air in their bedrooms is less ‘musty’ which after nearly two years shielding that isn’t a bad thing when they are preteens between boy smells and girls body sprays the air needed a helping hand.

My chest is set off less. The filters appear simple so far not needed to change but can tell it will be a doddle. With covid-19 and the stronger flu coronaviruses we will be getting this year I am relieved this now lives with us.

With pandemic, staying at home/ work from home is the new normal for past 10 months and living in phoenix, AZ where the air quality is not great(phoenix ranks 7th for worst pollution), we were looking for a good air purifiers that can reduce allegories and filter airborne particles like dust, pollen and if possible some virus and bacteria and found this Blueair healthprotect that met all our requirements for protecting health by improving indoor air quality index.

Packaging was good and it’s very easy to setup. Unpacked, installed in our bedroom that measures 22 x 18(396 sq ft) and seems to work well compared to our other brands we tried so far with its performance(280CADR).

Machine is whisper quiet at the lowest setting and can barely hear its running but can hear the fan sound when its set to highest setting but not compared to Vornado Vortex fan that is super loud that we use in summer months for air movement.

It uses very less watts even on the highest setting. Filter change is very easy and uses HEPASilent Ultra filtration. Cost of replacing this smartfilter is expensive ($70) compared to other brands and there is no generic brand that fits as of this writing, but filter change is required yearly and if enrolled to automatic subscription we can get for $59.

Cost is high because this smartfilter uses a smart RFID chip for real-time usage monitoring and alerts the user when its required for filter change compared to other brands. Another cool feature, is that the blueair app keep track of the air purifier progress in real time with its advanced sensors.

LCD display has a blue bright light that gives details of the air quality, VOC levels, temperature and humidity. In order to control the brightness or turn off the blue light on the lcd panel, you would need to download app on your mobile as this machine is wifi /Bluetooth enabled and works best with smart phones for easy control which I love it.

Color changing indicator on the LCD is a nice cool feature to know the air quality in a quick glance without browsing your phone. If its blue the air quality is great, green for good, yellow for moderate, orange for slightly pollute and red for pollute.

There is also a child lock feature in the app where you can enable it to just make sure kids don’t mess with the settings. Scheduling is another great feature that we use it on ours every day. It is done through app.

This HPA 300 works like advertised!!! I was waking every morning with red eyes and since day one of running the HPA 300, I wake now more than 30 consecutive days with very refreshed eyes. I also notice I sleep better than prior to the HPA 300.

My son has one in his bedroom as he is allergic to dust mites and was waking with phlegm in his throat. Now he also has a success story, of more than 30 consecutive days with no phlegm and sleeping better! I also have one in my office and the air feels fresher than before! I highly recommend the HPA 300!.

The HPA200 is a reliable, effective medium size air cleaner. I’ve measured its effect using a PM2. 5 air quality meter in my house, and it has demonstrated itself to be very effective in greatly reducing smoke levels here, in times of high smoke exposure in California.

I recommend it highly. There are other good choices, and some of the competition offers build in measurement of air quality, display of same, and option to control the fan motor based on sensed room air quality.

Folks might wish to consider these models, from BluePure (211+), Conway, and Winnix (5300). But the HPA200 is a old reliabled rugged and effective room air cleaner, which I have had nothing but good experiences with.

The fundamental purpose of an air purifier is to, well, purify the air with a near second to do so quietly/pleasantly enough that people can bear to have it on. The 75i seems to do that very well so far, based not on its own monitoring but secondary air quality monitors I have set up in my home.

It also looks as nice as hoped for, to the extent people seeing it for the first time don’t recognize it as an air purifier at all. Combined with long filter life and it’s a winner on that front. One star off though for a truly mediocre control system.

Shockingly, and unlike the 45i, the 75i has no dedicated light control. One has to use the power button which is unintuitive and leads to turning it off trying to get the light back on, and it can only be off or full brightness not dimmed.

In no way a deal breaker, but surprisingly grating in a premium highest end air purifier. Again though not a deal breaker at all, once you have it set up its job is to just stay on quietly 99. 5% of the time, and the controls are serviceable enough.

The lights can be 100% turned off, which is the most important thing. So I’d absolutely still pick this model again for living spaces; the sheer capability combined with aesthetics is a solid package.

What a difference this purifier has made! Our home (for reasons unknown) is very dusty. Not anymore! Prior to this purifier, we would accumulate significant dust in a day or two. Now after a week of running this unit, we only have a minute amount of dust on any surfaces.

Both my wife and I also notice our coughing has virtually stopped. The air just smells so much fresher. Cooking odors. disappear quickly! We ran the unit initially on turbo for a few hours when we first turned the unit on, then switched to automatic.

Since the unit normally operates on the lowest fan speeds in automatic, noise is not an issue. Even when running on turbo, the noise is not overwhelming. It’s noticeable, but it’s a soothing sound that does not disturb our distract.

The unit is bigger than we thought it would be, but it is easily placed and light enough to move around if need be. We registered the product online and signed up for the filter replacement program which gives you the option of picking how many months you wish to go before they send you a replacement.

You can also choose the type of filter you want based upon your needs. With the filter replacement program and product registration you get a lifetime replacement warranty! Can’t go wrong with that. I did have a question about a small compartment on the side of the unit that was not mentioned in the manual and got an online response the next day.

Customer service was very nice and efficient in explaining that compartment held the chip that controlled the unit. The only negative thing I can say is the packaging was rather beat up upon arrival.

Hard to say who’s to blame for that, but the unit was fine and undamaged when unpacked. I would highly recommend this purifier thus far. Makes a very noticeable difference with the air quality in our home.

Forgot to mention we do have a new puppy, so in addition to everything else it controls pet dander and odors!.
