20 Best Bones For Puppies Teething (2022 Updated)

We’ve got two puppies that are teething right now and chewing on EVERYTHING. The boys are really small so the larger teething treats we’ve used before were too big. These sticks are just right for them (diameter about halfway between spaghetti and the inside of a straw, but solid) and will keep them busy and not chewing on anything else for about 15 minutes of blessed peace twice a day.

Will definitely be buying more as they work the last few teeth out.

I have been buying these chicken sticks for the last couple years, lots of them! My little 5 pound and 10 pound chihuahua LOVED them and would get so excited when they got one or maybe two each day. This recent batch of 11 bags that I bought were darker in color, so I read the package and it says added DHA for healthy brain development.

I’m assuming that’s why they are darker and not as appealing to my dogs now. They both look at me and after a minute, they decide to pick it up and eat it. You should have left well enough alone.

I got these healthy chew stick treats for a 3. 5# Pomeranian puppy that visits me. She loves them and it massages her gums while she enjoys a treat. I like that she consumes all of it with no choking risk.

Way better alternative to risky and unhealthy rawhide chews!.

I recently adopted a puppy Sushi and he just can stop chewing on things – my shoes, letters, the couch. etc and this Jumbo Puppy Teething Sticks definitely came to the rescue. Sushi seems to like the flavor as he keeps coming back for more and he indulges himself in this treat for a decent amount of time every time he gets it.

I think for the quality of this product and the ingredients they use, this product definitely offers high value.

I needed a teething stick for my big puppy. Everything else on the market was too small or didn’t last very long. Definitely satiated my puppy’s chewing needs!

We bought this for our new Burmese mountain dog puppy who was 3 months old and he loved them! In the process of reordering them again for him!

This is my 3rd attempt with Nylabone for my 4lb dog. I have purchased 2 other Nylabones in the past (both Nylabone Dura Chew Regular Red, White, and Blue Bones and Nylabone Flexi Chew bones). The Dura Chew bones were too hard and remained untouched.

I then tried the Flexi Chew. The Flexi Chew bone was down to a nub when I realized the Nylabone chew should actually be replaced when the knuckle ends wear down. I was thrilled to discover a digestible Nylabone option.

However, they are NOT long lasting. I gave my dog one and I saw it was being enjoyed. When I went to check 20 minutes later, the bone was no where to be found. Although I looked all over for the missing bone, I was convinced it was hidden and not consumed in that short of time.

Today was a second attempt with a second bone. Five minutes later, I could see the bone was being enjoyed. 10-15 minutes I went to retrieve the bone to be enjoyed on another day and I discovered there was only a bit of a nub.

Apparently this bone as well as the first bone was consumed too quickly. I am surprised, disappointed and schooled that this is not for us.

I get these or the Bacon flavor for my 20 lb Throwback Pomeranian, Colby. These are fairly expensive, as they last him maybe 30-45 minutes, but he LOVES them so much. They aren’t messy and sloppy and don’t get all over the carpet and make a mess.

I save them for special occasions or for major treats after a looong grooming session or just something extra special. 🙂 The roast beef smells like beef and the bacon smells like bacon. They ARE edibles, not chew “toys”, so people who complain and give low ratings because they say they don’t last should read the descriptions of what they are buying before complaining and giving a low rating for a product that was not designed to do what they WANT it to do.

I put a few of these in my cart to have on hand with almost every order. Colby’s happy about that. :).

My poor puppy has been up sick all night after consuming one of these bones. He’s a French bulldog, so a smaller breed. This treat is advertised as long lasting however proved to be the exact opposite when I realized my puppy inhaled more than half of the bone in under 10 minutes.

Had to take a trip to the emergency room with him due to dehydration and GI problems linked directly back to this treat. This $13 bone was not worth my $1000 emergency bill. I’ve read similar reviews after the fact all including smaller breeds having the same problem.

Definitely do not recommend anyone gives these treats to a small breed whatsoever.

I bought the large in these. I’m so glad I found these bones. We started giving these to our dog every night after we paid $1800 to have a deep teeth cleaning and to have an abscessed tooth removed and another broken (and in danger of becoming abscessed) tooth removed.

The vet recommended better oral care for her. We chose these. I’ve given our pitbull other brands that are grain free but I like these much better. The other brands don’t last long but she gets a good chew out of these.

She enjoys these. 18 month update: our vet said our dog’s teeth look remarkably good. She said for our dog’s age she doesn’t have anywhere near the plaque and tarter build up dogs would normally have, even after the professional cleaning.

I had high hopes for these treats. I purchased them before a Daisy Mae’s recent bout of gastrointestinal trouble. Her vet put her on a prescription diet. I waited a couple weeks before giving them to Daisy Mae and her little brother, Scout.

They both loved them, but unfortunately, Daisy Mae threw it back up within ten minutes of eating it. Scout also has a tender tummy, but had no trouble with these. I’ll be giving them to Scout once a week, or maybe every two weeks, so long as he tolerates them, but I won’t be buying them again.

No worries. Scout has a full menu of cookies available. Daisy Mae will have to stick to Her Royal Canin prescription treats.

We’ve got a border collie mix, a husky, and a German shepherd mix. The border collie is *THE PICKIEST EATER* so she *gasp* doesn’t always like treats. After 8 years with her, it still shocks me. But we’ve learned that she and her brothers LOVE Blue Buffalo, so I took a chance on these dental treats.

They were a huge success!! So now, we make it a weekly event- Friday is our dental day, and it makes for 3 very happy tails!.

Disappointed. These contain Red 40 and the ingredients are misrepresented on Chewy. The product received is not as advertised. My dog doesn’t care what color his treats are, but I do care about giving him a toxic chemical, staining his beard, AND my carpet/furniture.

We got this water fountain because our youngest cat who just turned 1 is also our biggest and dumbest lol, and he is OBSESSED with running water and also the filters in the water bowls. We had a plastic one that he kept knocking over, spilling water Everywhere, and then playing with the spongy filter around the house!! So bad lol.

So we needed a heavy water fountain and this is perfect! He did try to tip this over for the first few weeks, but was unsuccessful and now just drinks out of it! Although the younger two were scared of it at first, all of them drink out of it no problem! We do have to top it off at least once a day, but we also have 3 cats sooo Planning to eventually buy another, we just have to figure out where we can fit it upstairs and find a big enough mat the cats can’t chew up so if the water does spill it’s fine!.

Our 12 week old puppy (springer spaniel? Spaniel mix? We’re not sure) absolutely LOVES these things. He loves them so much that when he sees the bag, he cries pitifully if we don’t give it to him quickly enough.

Nothing else matters when he has a teething ring. The first time we gave him one, we gave him the whole thing at once and because he’s a glutton, he tried to eat the entire thing in one sitting. Since then we’ve broken them into thirds for a more reasonable sized treat.

We have a French Mastiff who goes from one moment thinking she’s a puppy to being and old senile grandma dog who is super sensitive. Her teeth see, to be more fragile these days so we thought the puppy teething ring was a good idea and she loves peanut butter.

I smelled the product myself and was kinda impressed with the smell. It smelled kind of sweet. JAZMINE grabbed her treat and ran off into her dog house to enjoy it. She loved the flavor, it was not too hard on her teeth and kept her occupied for a whole 3 minutes.

The bag comes with 10 rings and it’s re-closable. Overall a nice treat for both puppies and mature dogs.

Dog I bought the bone for: Spaniel/terrier mix, 30lbs, 4 yrs old My pup has really sensitive teeth (has dental work soon) and every nylabone/nylabone knockoff she has eventually makes her gums bleed.

She can chew on this bone the longest without making her gums bleed. She does chew it into small pieces but she is the kind of dog that just leaves the plastic be. Some of her doggy pals have tried her bone and they always try to eat the little pieces that break off.

And depending on the dog, these pieces can be pretty big. So if you have the kind of dog that swallows things they shouldn’t, this isn’t for you!! It’s a bit annoying to find little piles of plastic discards throughout the house, but this is still my favorite bone for my dog.

Bits of plastic after an hour of chewing are way better than having to take away a harder bone after 5 min because her gums bleed. Seriously – this is the only non-edible chew that I give my dog and she loved them so much.

I have an 18-month old Bloodhound, Airedale, and Cattle Dog mix. She is incredibly anxious, very high-energy, and constantly needs to be chewing something. The problem is, she gets bored easily with most toys and bones.

I’ve struggled to find something that is durable, safe, and long-lasting that will actually keep her interest. She even loses interest in other puzzle games after one or two uses. But not this one! This toy is PERFECT.

She keeps coming back to it, and every time she gets one of the treats out she brings it to me to put a new one back in. There is some wear and tear on the bone itself from her chewing, but I haven’t had any issues with the orange gaskets popping out like some of the other reviews.

This toy is interactive and hearty, and occupies my dog for at least 20 minutes at a time, if not longer, until she gets a treat out.

Didn’t hold my puppy’s interest for very long at all. She then went back to chewing things she shouldn’t after only ~5 min (I’m being very generous with my estimate). Had to repeatedly redirect her back to the nylabone about every 5 min.

Not ideal if you actually have to be productive while working from home. Then the little nubs came off and she may have swallowed some. Maybe they should consider making an office chair flavor. It did, however, perform better than the benebone, which only held her interest for an average of ~0.

001 sec. I dunno. Maybe it’s possible the flavor on these products wears off after sitting in Chewy’s warehouse for a certain period. Not sure, but won’t be throwing good money after bad by trying again.

This is very misleading saying they are long lasting and for strong chewers. My 3 month old pittie mix puppy had these tore up and broken down into small pieces within literally 5 mins. I had to throw the majority away since it was broken down into small pieces so quickly.

I’m sure these would be great for a much smaller breed puppy but I couldn’t give it a good review considering it wasn’t really properly advertised.

My 5 month old labrador retriever has to constantly have something in his mouth as he is on a path of mass destruction. Like Godzilla going through downtown Tokyo. These chews distract him from things like furniture, drywall and all the senior dogs in the house.

I have a 4 month old Yorkie female who chews on everything. The biggest problem is however, that she loses interest very fast with pretty much every toy and chew we got her. She will play for about 5-10 minutes tops and lose interest then move onto chewing on me! These are the only thing that keep her busy for hours.

I honestly think she would keep chewing until it’s gone if I let her. I ordered the pack of 3 to test the waters bc a previous pumpkin teething chew I got her gave her horrible diarrhea. She seems to love pumpkin and these don’t give her a bad reaction and they keep her busy for hours.

I would say if your dog likes pumpkin definitely try these out. But if your dog isn’t a pumpkin fan, maybe pass. The only downside is Bubbles went through these really fast. Like I’m talking less than a day for each.

I ordered both the chicken and pumpkin flavors for my new puppy, since she’s teething and I wanted a variety of things for her to chew on. At first she couldn’t have cared less about these rings. until I accidentally stepped on it and broke it into 2 pieces.

Now that they’re easier for her to pick up and chew, she loves them (as well as my roomies dog) I’m now going to order all the flavors for her to try. They also leave her breath very fresh and last a decent amount of time, keeping her occupied from doing anything destructive.

They’re easy to store in any room of the house and I even keep one in the car. Great product for teething puppies.

Best dog chewing toy out there! My dog destroys tots and chewy things. Nyla bones are great for dog’s teeth – vet recommended. They help remove plaque build up on dog’s teeth – kind of like a good deep cleaning.

My dog goes crazy for them! He has probably 10 of these bones laying all over the house. They have last us a couple of years so far and he’s a heavy chewer. The toys don’t break, they withstand some heavy chewing and chomping.

I trust this brand of toy that he won’t be breaking off pieces and swallowing it. Highly recommended product!.

I love to sit and chew on things… well everything! My mom is always saying “Raya don’t chew on that!” Or “Raya please stop” And I just don’t understand it. Lately whenever I’m starting to chew on something my mom pulls out these delicious bones.

These are now one of my favorites and I don’t want to chew on anything else. These are delicious and they take me about 45 minutes to an hour to chew. Once I’m done I don’t want to chew on anything else because I’m satisfied.

Now when I’m ready for another one I just bite at the air and whine a little so my mom knows I’m ready to chew again. Now mom knows to come to my favorite site and keep ordering more. She just wishes they sold more in a pack.

These are my dogs favorite treats! They don’t last long in my house! These are not too greasy and there is no odor when they chew them plus the dogs lap them up. They eat the Hooves next until they are gone.

They are a great natural way to clean their teeth. A bonus is they are so expensive at the store compared to here, you can get 3x what you would get at the store! Highly recommended for aggressive chewers.

As always, keep an eye on your pups when they chew to remove sharp or small bits. Otherwise let them go at it. Highly recommended!.

I have an aggressive chewer and this is the only thing that has lasted more than 5 minutes. He LOVES it. The only downside to it (and honestly it’s not a huge deal or deal breaker) is how messy it is.

Pieces will flake or chunk off and it’s greasy. He does lick up whatever has fallen off. It does have an odor. Not foul, but it smells like smoked meat. I’m a pregnant vegetarian so it’s definitely not my most favorite thing to inhale right now.

Overall though, excellent price and value! Will reorder again when he finishes this one!.

This makes a very impressive gift for a very large dog. One of my clients has an enormous Pit Bull who is the size of a small pony but thinks he is a lap dog. He is beautiful in cream color with splashes of almost taupe here and there: in “decorator” colors! I had to give him a worthy bone and THIS is IT! When he saw the bone, he stopped cold and acted like it was too good to be true.

I help both knobby ends and put the middle in his mouth. He went off to the corner of the yard still holding the bone and had some alone time with it. The owners said he buried it and keeps re-burying it whenever someone comes close to where it is buried.

My only regret is that I didn’t get a picture of this beautiful huge dog with matching beautiful huge bone. So, I’m buying him a second one for a picture!.

My dog loves these so much she knows the bag from all of her other treat bags. She loses her mind! She is now 4 months old with most of her adult teeth and can kill it in about 15 minutes, but when she was about 8 weeks old, she would work at it for 1-2 days.

They smell great, like a pumpkin pie, and I haven’t seen any indication of digestive issues. It makes me feel better knowing there are so many good ingredients and none (if very little) of the crap. I’ve bought 3 bags now, which is becoming expensive so I may try to make some pumpkin treats myself since she doesn’t really need the hardness of these for teething anymore.

Our 4-year-old Dobi is well trained but has a mind of his own at times! He is motivated to obey commands by using a ball–sometimes. Once cracked, it is suggested to remove it from the monster!.

My dogs LOVED these bones. I always watch them when they are chewing on a bone because I have read rib bones can splinter easier than marrow bones. There have been no issues with these bones splintering.

Keeps the dogs interested and gives them something to do. The hickory smoke scent is awesome.

My GSD immediately broke a corner off of one of these bones. I was watching her because I was afraid this might happen, and I’m glad I was. By the time I was able to get it away from her it had splintered and she’d swallowed several pieces.

Definitely not for my aggressive chewer.

Chance is still a puppy but I did try him with one he loved it. Very good product I will order more when needed.
