20 Best Bookshelf Speakers For Bass (2022 Updated)

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Klipsch. I personally own these speakers, 2 subs, 4 book shelf speakers and 1 center channel. If you are looking to build a quality surround sound system without breaking the bank Klipsch is perfect.

I would highly recommend these speakers if you have an existing 5. 1 setup. These speakers add another depth to surround sound. For example if it’s raining the rain sounds like it’s coming from the ceiling it’s super cool.

I would recommend getting front speakers, center, rear speakers and a sub before getting these. These won’t do much if you have not much going on but a perfect addition to a 5. 1 system. You can then turn it into 5.

1. 2 system. Just know you would need a 7 channel receiver to do this.

I bought these speakers a short time ago to play music in a big, open gym area in our basement. I wanted to keep it simple – just two speakers on stands in two corners of the space. And wow, did these babies deliver! I hooked them up to the receiver the other night and fired them up to test with a few favorite tunes.

The audio is rich and full, with beautiful range. Resonant bass, crisp clean mid-range and highs. The sound fills the space. I’m no audiophile, but I am kind of fussy about sound quality. I couldn’t be happier with these speakers, especially for the price and the small size.

I convinced my wife to buy these to replace a soundbar she’d been frustrated with almost since the day I hooked it up. I have a full Klipsch Reference system in the theater room so I wanted to have that sound in the living room.

I was disappointed that the Fives don’t have the same lively detailed sound my Reference speakers do considering the price but other than that they are impressive. They are much livelier playing music from a phone or tablet compared to the tv so keep the source in mind when judging.

Either way they sound really good and much larger than their footprint would lead you to expect. The bass response is surprisingly good from such small speakers. A subwoofer is not needed unless you need rock bottom sub bass.

The variety of inputs makes them a great value for an all in one compact solution for home entertainment. We use ours to watch tv and listen to streaming music. They get loud enough for most uses/occasions but not ear piercing like some people might like.

These are for daily living, not wall shaking party/concert use. I’d buy these again in a heartbeat.

To start let me tell you my background. I grew up with my uncle who has 2 Chorus II’s, 2 Kg4’s and sense then I have been addicted to the sound of Klipsch. So much that I tracked down and bought 2 Forte’s and 2 Kg4’s.

Both were built in the 80’s and still sound like nothing else. No speaker manufacturer can stand up to Klipsch on sound quality and reliability and the pure fact the heritage series will last a lifetime.

I purchased these tiny “The Five” speakers expecting they will sound good sense it’s Klipsch. Let me tell you, they ROCK! They sound amazing. They are like a mini Chorus II. Where mine are positioned I couldn’t imagine needing a Sub.

If you have a large open room you may want a sub, for me it’s not even necessary. The bass is deep, the mids are spot on and the highs are clear. They truly blow my Sonos Arc out of the water. If I had heard these speakers first, I never would have bought the Sonos.

The one star and two star reviews on here are totally irrelevant. I have not had those issues at all. KLIPSCH… PLEASE MAKE THE CHORUS II’s AGAIN. PLEASE ADD THEM TO YOUR HERITAGE SERIES, I WILL BUY THEM TODAY IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE.

I waited a couple of months before writing this review, needed to make sure they were as good as everyone raved about. WOW what a great purchase I am not disappointed can’t get over the sound quality.

I had previously purchase a Polk soundbar and subwoofer, just did not have the sound I was wanting, Bluetooth was constantly dropping sound was in and out was ok for TV but loving music this wasn’t doing the job, returned and replaced with a Samsung soundbar and still did not have the sound I was wanting.

Returned to COSTCO and saw the Fives on sale $100. 00 off compared to other high end speaker systems, really liked the sound of all high-end systems but something kept saying go with the Klipsch, easy set up and updated the firmware and attached my 100W sub put on some Sirus XM music, wife came in the family room she was so surprised at the beautiful sound and ask me to put some of her favorite music on.

Let me tell you a Happy wife is a Happy life. Put on a NETFLIX action movie WOW WOW WOW I have never been so happy with my purchase I listen to beautiful music every morning and sets my mood for the day.

I bought these speakers to use as monitors for my computer and also to stream music with whilst working. They are connected to a Tangent Ampster BT II amplifier in a small room. When listening to music they sound really good, with a good sound stage and decent bass.

I can easily tell the difference between playing CDs vs streaming from Amazon music (flacs sound much better: more weight and dynamic range). All in all I am very pleased with the purchase and think they are good value!.

The directions for using the binding posts as provided in the included owner’s manual are not possible for using banana plugs. The plastic nut cannot be removed from the post and yet the directions have this removal as the 1st step before removing the plastic plug that blocks the banana jack’s socket.

It is possible using a knife edge to remove the plastic plug without removing the plastic nut. The manual does not inspire great confidence.

Started with Edifier1280s running Optical out of 65 inch perfect ,try it. Then went to 2000DBs with 96 watts ,Piano black ,amazing speakers ,now with MKIII 2000 VERY NICE ! Nice amount of bass , very good defining tv codes and music ! It has built in EQ on Remote ,I will be living on DYNAMIC Mode forever ! It gives you everything the speakers have to offer ,plus a pinch.

Left t v regular sound when took Dog for walk ,loud penetrated walls of home with ease ,not trying. Being a real audophile who has owned and still owning 20 sets of speakers ,I would give these a 9 out of 10 for perfection of sound ,9 out of 10 for ability to be loud as speakers stop at 50 on volume ,but leave me wanting just a Bit ! But that my personal Jam Mode for weekends and bar b q z nothing folk who live in populated areas would be allowed to enjoy ! So far I am pleased ,this will make a sweet bedroom set up or perhaps I try with subwoofer or join the Edifier 2000 DBs for 220 watts of sound ! That are growing on me more by the minute ! Love speaker chord heavy heavy duty plenty of chord 15 ft easy ! Satisfied with purchase would of always wondered ,now I dont have too ! These drivers are NO JOKE ! These are HEAVY REAL DEAL SPEAKERS ! Be prepared to pick up some real weight ! I shopped every speaker on market for months with hours of reviews before this purchase.

You will NOT be sorry. If your a thumper these are not designed to do that but make you look around often and out the windows for what that noise were. Final test were Bluetooth AC/DC wide open. Going to have fun fun fun rest of this year ! No distortion.

Use a optical splitter to add a set for surround. Save $$$.

Bud quality A+. Sound is good but not great. The new klipsch powerd speakers. Have higher, and lower frequency reponse. So more fidelity. I feel like something is missing when listening. It is clear and using spdif has no hum or interference.

Does not max volume at 100 but 50 so misleading. Still plenty loud. So is it good yes i like these speakers. But loving jazz and classical they feel anemic. If klipsch new speakers where around when i bought these id go with them.

Ifnyou listen to pop, hiphop, rap, dub, techno. You’ll feel fine. If you not a audio snob youll love these.

Let me start off by admitting that I’m a Yamaha fan. I’ve owned Yamaha audio equipment in one form or another since the early 80s and for a while I sold Yamaha audio equipment in what used to be called a “stereo store”.

As part of my sales training, I was invited to the Yamaha west coast facility in Buena Park to see their entire home audio product line and to hear a little bit about Yamaha’s history and focus. I was pretty impressed with Yamaha’s dedication to their “Natural Sound” philosophy – in other words, their mission of reproducing sound without artifact or coloration by using hand-picked components in collaboration with superior manufacturing practices.

It is a philosophy that is fully realized in these small speakers. How do they sound? They sound every bit as good as the material the are reproducing (they add or subtract nothing). Highs are bright and clean (not brittle), mids are warm and open (without muddle) and the staging is very good.

Lows are tight and relatively deep – good enough for most music, but a subwoofer will definitely be needed if you’re looking to use these in a home theater configuration. As noted elsewhere, these are relatively power hungry little boxes.

You won’t get the best that these have to offer at less than 60 watts per channel. I’m running mine at 100 watts per channel and they are performing beautifully. I detect no strain at high volume. It’s very hard to imagine a better speaker in this size at this price.

Their sound and performance is as good as it gets and the finish (piano black lacquer) is a work of art. I’ve owned mine for 6 years now and am as satisfied with them now as I was the day I unboxed them.

Amazing sound, great highs, crisp and clean, good bass and a stomping middle. I’m 63 and I have lost at least 60 to 70% of my hearing (wear hearing aids) most of it in the high end of sound. These have brought back hearing those lost sounds.

I highly recommend these speakers for the hearing impaired. Driving my speakers is the Yamaha AS301 amp @ Yamaha CD301 CD player, a perfect match. These speakers look great and are well made, I trust in Yamaha, and always will.

I see a lot of best bang for the buck speaker reviews out there & these Yamaha’s don’t get mentioned very often. They are supposedly home theater speakers but I use them exclusively for music, they sound incredible and go toe-to-toe with other speakers I own.

I do know I have a pair of NHT SuperZeros, ADS L400 and ACI Sapphire 25th Anniversary speakers, used to own Pioneer SP-BS22s and these little Yamaha’s are to my ears the best overall of the bunch. I am looking to listen to some NHT SuperOnes since the NHT SuperZero sound is intriguing but I’m also looking at the Yamaha NS-555 the big brother of the NS-333.

And, there is no sound absorbing stuffing in the box. However if you are handy, with a few simple mods you will end up with a respectable sounding speaker. First, you can add a 1mh inductor coil in series with the woofer + wire to help reduce upper frequencies to woofer.

Be sure to securely glue it down. Next, add a 10ohm 10 watt resistor in series with the + wire to the mid-range driver to tone it down a little. Then you can cut a 2 hole in back and add a 2 X 5 port tube the help bring out the lows.

Finally, add some acoustic stuffing in the box, covering the back and sides loosely. The end result will be a deeper and more powerful bass, a tad mellower in upper mid’s. The entire procedure took me about 3 hours.

I’ve had these speakers set up for a week now with the N22 Amplifier and the B1 Bluetooth Receiver. Setup was super fast and easy, latency is non-existent, and the sound is great. I live in an apartment complex so I wasn’t able to crank the amp to its max but there’s great volume range and clarity.

I play podcasts, classical music, and some heavier modern electronic music and all of them sound great on this. Would recommend these if you want great sound with maximum flexibility.

I’m listening to them right now !!! I’m very happy with them. They arrived a few weeks ago, but I had to wait for the amp and then had to wait some more for the correct wiring from the computer to the amp.

The instructions say “at least” 16 gauge wire to the speakers and I have 18 gauge, seems o. k. , should I change them ? And you say they will be even better after 30 to 50 hours of play ?! Can’t wait ! They are a little less than the recommended 6 feet apart due to my limited placement choice but may figure out something some day.

The wires are long enough that I can put them far apart on the floor for while for a special listening session, but too dirty and too much risk of bumping them to be a permanent placement. They are out of harms way on the table.

Never made a better purchase, I will enjoy them for the rest of my life !.

I already have a pair of P4’s and the S8 Powered Subwoofer and decided to complete out the rest of my home theater with 2 more pairs of the P4s. I have 2 pairs of P4s for the Front and Rear L/R and used a pair of them wired in parallel for the Front Center Channel (don’t worry, it’s only drops the resistance to around 3 ohms and works great since the front center channel is so important in a home theater).

The “Center ChanneI” is the two speakers on top from both sides and the Front L/R and the 2 bottom speakers. I have the amp set to feed all the P4s 80hz and above frequencies and the sub for everything below.

I am also using a Yamaha 5 channel home theater receiver that puts out about 65w/channel and can handle low ohm speakers. This setup is just superb for a 24ft x 14ft den. I cannot express enough just how good these speakers are, not just the value they represent, but just excellent sounding speakers.

They are very smooth, with great detail, and forgiving speakers that have a great upper and mid range and handle lower frequencies very, very well for such a small speaker. You could probably spend 10 times what this setup cost and I doubt you could hear much difference.

Highly recommend!!.

The sound is good. Lots of bass. Good mid range. Perhaps not enough high end making the sound a bit less lively than my liking. But for this price and wattage you really cannot expect better. This is really down to preference – if you like bassy speakers you will like these.

The power and sources connect to the left speaker. The right speaker is powered through the speaker cable. If I had my choice I’d have the power in the right speaker because that’s where the power socket is in my room but that is a small complaint.

It comes with source cables and a speaker cable – 2m if I remember correctly, which is generous but not long enough for me because I have the speakers on stands in opposite corners of a room so I bought a longer cable.

You can connect the speaker cable either with bare wire or with banana plugs – I use the latter. They look good. They have no front bezel. I would prefer they did to protect them from my kids’ fingers but it doesn’t affect the sound.

One note to be aware of – this has no DAC. That means you cannot connect and iPhone, for example, except through the headphone jack. It has a USB socket but that is for powering devices only, not for receiving audio.

I use the Audioengine B1 to receive Bluetooth from my iPhone. If you want to receive audio from USB or an iPhone Lightning jack, you can use the D1 (though be aware, the D1 also is powered from the USB jack so you will need a USB hub – this is why I went with the B1).

High-end speakers and amplifier, with extraordinary connectivity. but appalling EQ options. I am delighted with my Klipsch 600, a dynamic and lively sound. I needed to change another system linked to my tv and I thought of Klipsch versus options like KEF, assuming the brand’s seal would prevail.

It is clear that its acoustic components and the circuit are of high quality and they offer a warm and robust sound, but it seems that they designed it thinking obsessively about the bass, boosting it in extremes and neglecting the rest of the frequencies, to the point of preventing by all means its manual adjustment.

And although the frequency already seems inclined to the bass, all the options of the control go in the line of reinforcing them, without any option to enhance mids or treble. It can be pleasant with movies or classical music, but with other styles it is as if the speakers were sounding from inside a drawer, without a trace of the crystalline impact of other Klipsch models.

There is no way to enhance the sound or oxygenate it in case of muted recordings. Thus, to take a well-known example, in songs like Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing, it is as if the cymbals were sounded in the distance through the kick drum microphone.

And it is that sometimes you want to give the sound brighter. I’ve been forced to add an external equalizer and everything has changed in an extraordinary way, but of course, that also implies using a DAC as a bridge, and both of good quality to respect the height of the speakers.

The fact is that the price increases even more and it loses sense to have paid so much for its wide connectivity if in the end it is necessary to add a DAC. You would have had it as easy as adding the equalization options for this model in the Klipsch Connect App.

Received these from BB on 12/29; set them up with the KEF S2 stands and KC62 Sub. Everything set up easily. I connected the speakers to my Samsung TV via ARC HDMI. From the beginning the speakers kept shutting down every 30-60 minutes while watching TV.

While streaming music that never occurred and the sound was amazing! After shutting down on me for the umpteenth time I switched to an optical cable on the TV. After 30 minutes the speakers shut down again! I turned them back on and approx.

15 minutes later there was a LOUD POP–and the primary speaker was dead. I’ve heard that pop before with electronics and pretty much knew there was no hope. The power never came back on the primary speaker.

This is a $2800 set of speakers and they lasted 3 days. I’m returning them to BB tomorrow and will have a replacement set sent to me. I will update my review in more detail at a later date with the results after the exchange.

These speakers sound like heaven–I hope it was just bad luck. We’ll see.

The KEF LS50 Wireless II is an excellent solution for anyone who wants audiophile sound quality without components, wires, and large speakers. These KEFs punch well above their weight in terms of volume across the sound spectrum, with excellent clarity and detail.

Even bass response is great, especially for a speaker of this size. Placement options for a good soundstage are less finicky with this design and the ability to fine-tune settings in the app. The app is easy to use and provides great control.

That said, after initial set-up, I access and use the speakers strictly via Airplay2 on an iOS / Mac device – and they work flawlessly. While a bit of a budget stretch, these KEFs are really worth it.

Have a very nice B&W 801D4 / McIntosh MC600/C12000 setup, but needed something for my upstairs office. Even with an engineering background, I have no idea how these things pull such full, vibrant and dimensional sound from those Uni-Q drivers, but they work.

Even at low volumes. I do not have a sophisticated setup, so cant speak for connectivity aside from Bluetooth. which seems good. They are kindov’ like a set of Sonos Moves connected in stereo, but on super-steroids.

Great speakers at a good price. What’s irritating is the stupid bluetooth gizmo that comes with the unit. It only works if you point the gizmo directly at the speaker with the tiny, meaningless blue dot.

What’s also meaningless is the manual. They might as well not have one. It’s so badly written it doesn’t make any sense at all. And the control panel on t he gizmo is too small for my old eyes to see.

I have to get a flashlight out or shine a bright light on it because the design is that cool black-on-black style which makes it impossible to read. I got the speakers because I wanted bluetooth control.

I wanted to come home from work, grab my phone and play my favourite track. Unfortunately that has never happened. It takes half an hour of fiddling to make it work. It would be much better to have it hard-wired to phone, computer, tablet or whatever.

Then I could just come home from work, plug in my phone or tablet and hear my music. Also gotta say Best Buy was completely useless in selling the speakers. They were not prominently displayed and the demonstration playback didn’t work.

The retail guy who tried to answer my queries didn’t have any answers to my questions. I finally gave up and bought it because I could take it back.

I LOVE my new turntable and speakers. It took me a long time to decide and lots of emails back and forth to the TurntableLab. I can’t say enough good things about this company. They (James) always got back with me very quickly, answered my numerous questions and/or concerns and helped me pick out the right stereo system.

We received it yesterday, only ordered it 5 days prior so that was a very quick delivery. We set it up and it sounds amazing! Those speakers truly pack a punch for sound. WOW! We cannot get over the quality of the equipment and the sound for the price we paid.

We are extremely happy. Actually I’m the one with all the vinyl records and I have my own She Shed so to speak and this is perfect for me. I could not be happier.

Sounds great for speakers on the smaller side! I usually use headphones (beyers) and these speakers have been great for when I don’t want to wear headphones. The speakers and cables came well packaged and the product itself was undamaged.

Kind of costly, but I think if you want speakers that are aesthetically pleasing and also sound good, these would fit the bill. Pros: -clear and detailed sound -compact size -easy to set up -smooth bamboo finish (less orange than stock photo) Cons: -bright blue LED light on front of one speaker (and it’s not flush, juts out about 2mm) -currently much more overpriced than normal -same brand stands are moderately expensive as well Pro or con: -minimal/no bass, which I prefer as that is less fatiguing and I have neighbors below.

Where to begin I replaced a pair of Klipchs ref 15s with these polk TSi 200s as the rear speakers in a 7. 1 marantz 6006 reciever. WOW, these polk audio’ s completed my system. Unbelievable sound quality, reproduction!!! Super Crisp highs hard driving mids and lows.

Polk audio has always been a part of past systems. I mean this what I say, when I say, EXCELLENT BUY FOR NOT ONLY THE MONEY, BUT WHAT YOU GET FOR THE MONEY, GREAT SOUND.

I have a Yamaha rxa2050 9. 2 channel avr we run 4 psw111 subwoofers. A Cs6 center channel. We have 8 tsi200 bookshelf speakers. Plus a Yamaha m-80 power amp, 10 gauge dock speaker cable. I spent a lot of money, but not that much! I’ve listened to $30.

000 dollar systems. If I blindfolded you. You wouldn’t know which is which, if you want a nice stereo these speakers are what you need. There’s nothing bad about Polk. I’m not going waste anymore of your time.

i purchased the TSi200’s to replace my main front channel speakers which were some old Pioneer hand me downs I acquired in college. The Pioneers are nothing special. as in they are pretty average at everything and definitely don’t suck.

I moved them to the rear channel to ultimately complete my home theater 5. 1 surround sound. I performed my first test with the opening scene in Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. I was simply blown away at the quality of the sound and extreme detail.

The TSi200’s excel at clarity in the mid and high ranges. You can hear crystal clear details down from the chards of glass bouncing against interstellar objects. The sound transitions are also of note.

Between the 2 fronts and the center channel, the transitions are so fluid that it’s nearly indistinguishable which sound is coming from which speaker. This may be more a testament to the processor than the speakers, but worth mentioning.

If I were to rank the most impactful speaker improvements I’ve made to my home theater these would rank 2nd. Nothing changes a home theater experience like a sub woofer. 1. Polk PSW10 2. Polk TSi200 3.

I was looking for a pair of moderate to small sized speakers to give the right sound, whilst not taking over my small lounge. Ones which would complement my aging Linn Axis turntable and put the Cambridge Audio AXR85 receiver I bought from Richer a few months ago to good use in rebirthing my vinyl collection.

I had a word with the friendly staff to explain my needs and Mandy was extremely knowledgeable and very patient in talking it through with me. I listened to the options she suggested and said I would go away to deliberate.

On checking the Focal Arias online, I quickly discovered that Richer Sounds had the best price, in some cases by some considerable amount! Next day, I went back and was served by Luke, since it was Mandy’s day off.

I booked a demo and was immediately happy with what I heard and so signed up for the speakers using Klarna, which was simplicity itself and meant I could pay over three easy installments. I am so happy that not only are my LPs now promoted from ornaments to media again, but the sound is absolutely better than ever before.

My son remarked upon hearing one piece that if he turned away it sounded as though the musician was playing guitar in the room. This made me very happy indeed and I remain delighted! Just a short addendum to say thanks so much to the guys in Cheltenham store, in particular, thanks to Mandy for her expertise and patience and for Luke and the other guys for fitting banana plugs to the cables I chose.

I was looking for something to give me a noticeable improvement over my Rega R3s. The Focals are quite large for a stand-mount but they sound lovely. Good bass, that may even need some taming, and lovely clarity that really lets you hear all the different instrumental layers without over separating them.

A big plus for me is the front port that allows closer positioning to a wall. The walnut finish version is maybe not as classy as the piano black one, but I don’t think it looks cheap is really excellent value for money.

The glass top and leather face look very smart. Early days yet but I’d agree they deserve their 5 star reviews. So far very pleased with my change.

I bought a pair of Focal 906 speakers from Dan at the Cardiff store. Dan and the team were extremely welcoming and helpful. The speakers arrived early the next morning. I must confess that I have owned the 906 before and regretted selling them.

From the box, they are warm, rich and super smooth. After about 30 hours of use, they project a fast, clean and bright sound, but still have a lovely bass and mid warmth/ tonality, with an extended, super detailed treble.

A bargain. I am running with Naim amps.

I have had a lot of really good speaker / audio sets in my time, though I don’t know that I would call myself an actual “audiophile”. But at the least I am pretty good at telling “cheap” vs actual quality sound.

And at first, before they really got broken in, I guess I wasn’t completely blown away. Over time though, I’m realizing how truly incredibly clear and full these speakers are. They’re just amazing. I’m hearing lyrics I’ve never heard before, hearing high, mid, and low parts of songs I’ve been playing for 35 years that I never caught before, it’s just wonderful.

There’s good bass, and just an overall fullness to the sound that is exactly what I wanted. The best way for me to describe the sound quality is that when I increase the volume on these. they don’t really seem to get “louder”, like, to my ears.

It’s almost visual, the sound gets BIGGER. It’s like the sound is a magical invisible entity that as you increase the volume grows in size, it’s crazy. The features rock too. No cords connecting the speakers to each other is VERY nice (though they each have to be plugged in).

Bluetooth connectivity is nice for convenience, and optical in is great for my TV / games. Couple of small negatives, not enough even added together to remove a star: I agree that the remote while stylish needs some help in that you CANNOT read the letters on it in anything but direct bright light (so you end up memorizing where the power, volume, etc are).

Also another small nitpick – the instructions are extremely small and vague, and don’t really tell you what say “Dynamic” vs “Static” mode is (but trial and error will tell you that you want “Dynamic” every time).

Also, I really, really wish they were made in USA; I suppose it would have cost hundreds more if so, but I hate supporting sending $ overseas. These were honestly a lot more $ than I wanted to spend.

But they looked great, had stereo separation unlike a sound bar, didn’t need a subwoofer but have great bass, had bluetooth connectivity, and looked great, so I splurged. And I wouldn’t give them up for anything.

This is how music should be heard, it’s exactly what I’ve been missing for a long time now since I gave up on my old ancient huge speakers for more modern attempts. Make the leap, you won’t regret it.

I got these speakers because they are wireless between each other, which is very convenient. I was placing them on either side of a fireplace and mantle so running a speaker wire would have been quite a pain and probably ugly as well.

Of course each one has its own power cord, so they aren’t completely cordless, but it is very nice to not have that wire running between each other. Also they are self-powered so you don’t need an amp.

I must say, the sound is pretty awesome too. These are meant to be played pretty loud in my opinion–they just sound way better when cranked up. Out of the box I was a little concerned but once I played them for a few days and adjusted the settings and input a bit, things were great.

I had to adjust the bass down a bit (they have a LOT of thump!) and the treble up a bit, and I put them on the dynamic setting. Also I use the USB port to either my computer or iphone (you’ll need to order a USB type B to lightning cable to connect to an iphone) and this sounds way better than Bluetooth.

Now when I listen to a live concert album on high volume it sounds like I am there. I wouldn’t say these are speakers for classical music lovers and the like, you have to want some volume. But if you’re looking for room-filling sound, in a powered speaker, with the convenience of no wires between the speakers then you have found your product! My only complaints are that the remote is not of great quality (though convenient to have); the volume setting is not remembered when you power off the speakers (beware or you might blow your eardrums out!); and it’s hard or near impossible to tell what volume setting you’re on, which of the four sound settings you’re using, and even what input is selected.

I don’t consider any of these dealbreakers but others may.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I needed speakers to stay connected to my main Alexa unit which is an Echo Show. I wanted speakers that were very powerful and loud but I also wanted the output to be great quality sound.

I tried many and I do mean many of the big name Bluetooth speakers on the market = Bose, Anker, JBL, Klimpsh, Aiwa. I even tried a different, cheaper, set of Edifiers. But all fell short in one or more of my main requirements: Loud Good sound with little to no distortion at high volumes Bluetooth capable with standard variety of other connection options NO auto sleep or power off function (or the ability to turn the function off) No feedback during standby (meaning if I’m not playing anything and I put my ear to the speaker, I shouldn’t hear humming or buzzing noises) Well balanced highs and lows so that i don’t have to adjust these each time I change genres But The Edifier S3000 Pros nailed it!! I’m excited about them because, seriously, I tried a lot.

But one thing I realized during the search for this sound need and others, is you have to know what you want. This situation didn’t require something portable so the continuous power supply works well for this situation.

By the way, both speakers have power cords and the two speakers auto connect wirelessly so there is no cord that tethers the two together. ANOTHER PLUS! But this type of speaker may not work well for your situation.

That’s why I’m including all this detail because I wish I would have found this review earlier in my search. The one negative I have isn’t really about the speakers it’s that I ended up having to by the speaker stands for these and they were not cheap.

I considered getting a universal or off brand stand but in the end I got the ones specifically made for these because of the quality, which the Edifier stands are very good quality. I just wish they were included with the speakers with little to no extra cost (Dream on right) Please excuse typos; I wrote this at red lights.
