We purchased this GE stainless electric range because our 3 year old Frigidaire stopped working. Since GE has always been known as a long lasting, quality brand, purchasing this one was a no brainer.

It is absolutely beautiful and is resistant to fingerprints. I don’t like the lack of handle for the storage drawer. It’s hard to open and close. That is the only reason for the loss of 1 star. The burners have a rapid boil feature and it lives up to its name.

When cooking or frying foods, the lower settings are your friend. The burners are very hot so high cooking isn’t needed. The oven functions perfectly. It has a pretty fast preheat and cook times are pretty true to most package directions.

The oven light is actually bright enough to see what’s in there unlike other ovens I’ve had in my life. There are plenty of levels to adjust the racks which will come in handy at Thanksgiving. The only other slight issue comes back to the storage drawer.

It isn’t as deep as others I’ve had so I couldn’t fit all of the pans and cooling racks that I have always put into other range drawers. But that is just a nitpicky thing for me. The bottom line is that this range is perfect for a average size family that cooks multiple meals a day.

It cleans well, cooks everything perfectly, and cools down fast so you can clean it and not worry about burning yourself. I also installed it myself and it was so easy.

I bought this because GE is a company that has been around forever, it is a reliable and dependable product. Because old stove only partially worked and I needed a new stove. I love the flat top which makes keeping the stove top so much easier to clean.

I love that I have the option of 4 small burners while still having 2 large burners though I wish one of the large burners were in the back instead of them both being in the front. I also wish that the drawer at the bottom was an inch or two deeper but I can live with it the way it is.

Some stoves don’t have any drawers which would be a deal breaker and I wouldn’t have bought it. I like the way that there is only a little bit of stainless steal on it so it goes both with black OR stainless steel appliances and is easier to keep clean then just stainless steel.

I like the way that the burners go off and on to make it more energy efficient while still maintaining a constant heat. I like the high back, were as some stoves have no back. Again I would not buy a stove with no back.

Over the years ceramic glass stove tops have come a very long way and I am so happy to be the owner of this one.

I hope we get 20 years out of this range. Our other one felt sturdier. This is supposedly a step up from that one and I am pretty disappointed. The door on this one feels like it is going to fall off every time I open it.

The bottom drawer is more shallow and is hard to open – it seems like the spot where you put your fingers to pull it out is upside down and the drawer almost feels like it scrapes the floor. It is hard to open.

Our other one had a timer that would go off and then go off again in about a minute. This one continually beeps. Also, and perhaps the worst feature is that you cannot set the timer while the oven is preheating! So you cannot pop something cold in the oven, turn the oven on and set the timer.

You have to WAAAAAAIT for it to preheat and then you can set it. and it takes a long time to preheat. I am setting a separate timer to remind me to set the oven timer. Just ridiculous. I do like the option to use a large or small pan on the front elements.

I do NOT like that the warning light indicating a section is hot is down on the stove top. Our other one had a red light on the panel by the knob for the burner that was warm. It was clearly visible and easy to tell at a glance which burner was hot.

A shorter child will not be able to see this warning light. So far the oven seems to bake evenly. I just hope it will last. This one seems built to NOT last. Our other GE turned yellowish and paint started peeling near where the steam comes out of the oven.

I hope this will not do that. We have been long time supporters of GE, but this oven will decide for us if that changes. So far, not overly impressed and that is SAD!.

I have previous experience with convection bake ovens. We have one at our small cabin in the mountains, and I love to go up north and bake my Christmas cookies there because of the ease and speed of convection baking.

When we decided to get our new appliances with our home kitchen remodel, I was excited to order a convection oven for our home. This convection baking option is a true disappointment to the Frigidaire model we have at our cabin.

I put it on convection bake and it seems the fan in the back spins until it is finished preheating. I cannot bake multiple pans of cookies at one time and have them bake evenly. As I am comparing with the Frigidaire that I use as well, a true convection the fan should turn and blow the air throughout the oven, you should be able to evenly back multiple pans of cookies at one time, and either the baking time should be shortened or the temperature can be reduced.

That is the point of convection. I am not getting evenly baked cookies with multiple pans, I have to bake them at the given temperature, and for a longer period of time then noted in the recipe. I am sorely disappointed and frustrated because I bake a lot, and really looked forward to getting a convection oven for my home.

At this point, I miss my old oven that I had. Though not convection, it baked as expected and was very reliable. The cooktop and the air fry work well, but when you are a baker you want and expect performance and it is just not happening.

We are going to buy an oven thermometer to see if it is the temperature. For this much money I should not have to question the performance at this stage of the game. It is less then two months old and I have only baked a few items due to the frustration level.

Next time I bake, I will try baking on just regular bake and see what happens. Since I am a baker, if I could return this oven and get a replacement I would. My Frigidaire was less expensive and performs leaps and bounds over this expensive GE model.

Am I doing something wrong? I press “Conv Bake”, it preheats and once finished I place multiple pans in the oven. Last time I baked I did 3 pans at a time, this time I baked I only did 2 still the same results.

Once we buy an oven thermometer I will let you know if it is getting to temperature. I want answers, so please contact me. I am getting super frustrated.

Overall, I’m happy with the range, which is an upgrade from a prior GE electric range which did not have a convection feature or air fry. First, the pros: the burners heat up quicker and seem to have more consistent heat on the entire burner than my old range.

The broiler works better as well. I haven’t made up my mind about the air fryer; so far it doesn’t seem much better than regular convection baking, but I need to try different foods in it to judge more fairly.

The cons: plastic knobs, a smaller, flimsy storage drawer, and the absence of a supplied broiler pan. I saved the broiler pan from my previous unit, only to discover in the middle of making broiled chicken that the shiny surface of my broiler pan caused the error code F200.

I had to stop everything and look up the code, which indicates that reflective surfaces and aluminum foil activate an alarm that shows (incorrectly) that the oven may be overheating. The solution is to only use dark cookware, and I now have to purchase the new dark-colored broiler pan.

The only warning in the manual was to not line the bottom of the oven with foil, and it said nothing about this issue. Steam clean doesn’t do much of anything for grease, and mopping up the water from the bottom of the oven was more work than it was worth.

We had a glass top GE range for 20 years. Technically it still was working, but the top was pretty scratched up, and the burners were slow. It was time to get a new one. We We decided we would get GE again, and selected this model.

We have had it now for a year, and like it. There are a lot of good things about it, such as the look of stainless steel, the convection feature, which cooks much faster, and the quick boil burners. There are some misses though.

When the glass top burners are on, there is a red light, but you have no idea which burner is on. Even our old stove had 4 individual lights, one for each burner. I know what you are thinking, wouldn’t the burner glow red when on? I am talking about a light that lets you know when it is still hot, even after you turn it off.

We don’t have small kids now, but if you do, I would be cautious about them reaching, which you should do anyhow, and not knowing the burners are hot. Also, this stove has a warming burner, which we thought would be nice to keep that extra side dish warm, while others finish, but it only ever gets luke warm.

Literally, you can put your hand on it, and it is like a warm glove. That effectively is a waste of a burner space. Back to the positives. The convection cooking works great for cooking quicker, and keeping things like fish crisp, instead of soggy.

The burner arrangement places the large burners up front, and the small to the back. This works great, as our old stove, you would keep bumping into the control panel with large pots, as they barely would fit on the burner in back.

Overall, we gave our range a 4 out 5. I would recommend it.

Product feature section stated it came with a rear filler trim kit. It didn’t. Contacted customer service and they said they’d get back to me about shipping one. They never did. Best Buy refused to honor their price match policy.

This will be my last appliance purchase from them. The actual range does a decent job of cooking. It has a quick preheat button. Expect to wait 10-20 minutes to preheat if you don’t use it. My range came with the same issue mentioned in a previous review about the bottom drawer not closing properly.

I’ve found the how easy it is to clean directly corresponds to how often you use it and what you cook. I’ve got the bubbles showing on one burner but haven’t tried the ‘fix’ from Google yet, so I don’t know if they will actually come off.

You need to be a mathematician when you try to cook because there are many variables to plug into the equation for the burners, for instance, the pot size and then there are high, medium and low for each size.

Forget it if you intend to do canning because you only have 3 heat options for a particular pot size. The warming burner doesn’t work. I want to return this stove but Empire Appliances will not contact me, and the only way to communicate with them is through email.

The phone number I looked up is a recording that tells me to submit an email. I cannot speak to a person. I wouldn’t even give this 1 star if it were possible to submit a zero.

I’ve had this range for 8 months. *The Air Fry feature is OK although I don’t see much difference in air fry/bake. I didn’t buy the Air Fry tray that is extra, maybe that would make a difference. *I am having issues with the oven turning off on it’s own.

I will be contacting Frigidaire. It has happened often, but not regularly so I was afraid to call and have someone come out and it not happen. I took a video and it happened when I opened the oven door–twice! Hopefully this is something that can be taken care of.

*The glass top is like most–hard to keep clean. Not sure there is a better option. I’ve already had something make a mark that I can’t get off. *The “warm zone” is handy, as is the “keep warm”. *One great feature is the “Quick Preheat”.

it really is quick, much quicker that the normal turn-on-your-oven-to-bake preheat! If the oven turning off issue gets resolved, I’d up the stars 1. and with more experimenting with the Air Fry, maybe add 2 stars!.

We recently replaced our 15 year old electric coil-top kitchen range with the GE JB655DKWW electric kitchen range, which has a glass cooktop surface and convection oven option. Even after using it for only a few weeks, it totally outperformed our old range.

It did take a little getting accustom to the different burner type as coil heated stovetops heat a pan unevenly and need to deal with the effects of air movement due to the gap under the pan. Conversely, the glass cooktop burner makes full contact with a pans underside, improving the heating process and providing very uniform heat distribution.

We quickly determined that we could use a lower heat setting on the glass cooktop and obtain the same results that required a higher heat setting on our old range, saving both time and energy. The oven is also large and bakes great on both standard and convection settings.

We are very satisfied with our GE purchase and it is a pleasure to cook and bake with this model. Our original motivation for buying this GE model was it’s high score in a Consumer Reports evaluation, testing a whole host of brands and styles.

The only drawback for us was not being able to use our cast iron pans on the cook surface, although; they still are totally usable in the oven. Fortunately, we had plenty of good quality stainless pots and pans that do very well with the GE kitchen range.

Moving back to stainless cookware was a small compromise given the improved results we are getting. We both highly recommend this model for anyone considering replacing their existing kitchen range.

This stove was bought to replace a bisque stove. We continued with GE to match our fridge we love and for familiar features like similar drawer space and adding a few new ones including a 5th warming burner.

Though with use, this stove is not much of an upgrade. The Air Fryer feature works sometimes but it depends on what pan and the pan’s surface I use. No air fryer pan was provided and should be. I had to research online where to buy an air fryer pan and it’s not GE.

The mini glass cleaner provided with the stove doesn’t clean burnt on food or oil. I’ve used Bar Keeper and med course sponges to clean it trying not to scratch the glass – it’s sensitive. I had the glass replaced in 2 months because the white layer under the black glass keeps showing through around the burners with chalk like streaks.

It was replaced at no charge and the service man said this replacement is done frequently. The replacement glass creates the same marks! The fabric seal around the interior of the door pops up occasionally out of it’s holes and the service man here for the top replacement didn’t think anything of it and popped it back in.

The stove also clicks endlessly while warming up and baking as it adjusts its temps like the last one. I hoped that wouldn’t happen at least during the baking time with a new model, it’s a nuisance when cooking for several hours.

Just more disappointing than I expected.

This range has everything I wanted and needed, and it performs absolutely perfectly! I never knew I could love a range so much! The control panel is easy and simple, and the buttons on the center panel are so easy to press, unlike my old Whirlpool range.

The glass stove-top has multiple options for different sizes of pots and pans, the burners heat up so fast and are so powerful. The oven is fantastic, so many slots to move the racks to for the perfect spot you need when baking.

The oven heats up fast and goes to the exact temperature you set it to, unlike my old Whirlpool range. It keeps the temperature beautifully during the baking cycle also. The only thing I would change about this unit would be for the housing metal (outside frame of the range) to be of a sturdier and heavier gauge metal.

It’s quite flimsy compared to my old Whirlpool range. We had a bit of trouble sliding the unit into place and one of the back feet buckled under and bent the flimsy housing metal, but we got that mended up and the range in place.

Since I don’t intend on moving it in and out, it’s really not an issue now. I painstakingly researched ranges and read reviews and singled this model out of a few that met my criteria. I wasn’t going to settle for any other model once I found this one, and I’m so glad I chose this model.

it is the best range I’ve had in many, many years.

Its very compact easy as pie to use only thing takes a minute to preheat. The safety feature is amazing but you can not use a bent out of shape bottom of a pan on the burners. Safety feature will not work.

Easy to clean if coil burns out just unplug and replace. Better then glass top.

All functions of our new stove work perfectly. An adjustable foot from our old (to be recycled range) screwed right in to replace the missing one on the Hotpoint and we were off to the races. Very satisfied.

Saved a ton of money and got a great basic range.

Ours is a family in constant use of a stove. After 25 years of good use, our old one died out. This free-range was our replacement. With swift, even heating, our meals were fried, broiled, and baked to perfection.

Temperature Control On the range–Uneven heat is a thing of the past. The power of these ranges heat quickly and efficiently. This is especially important for frozen dishes. There are no uneven portions, and water boils within about 5 to 10 minutes.

Higher heats do not over-heat or burn food. In the oven– Watch your cookies. There is even flow of heat with this oven, and therefore temperature adjustments are always necessary. If not, cookies may burn or get a little too brown.

However, a close eye will yield perfect cookies and cakes. Heat Distribution As stated before, this is an oven with wonderful heat distribution. My only suggestion is to adjust heat accordingly. Newer stoves achieve higher heat temperatures a lot faster than stoves made over ten to fifteen years ago.

Ease of Cleaning What I like about this stove’s surface is that it’s VERY easy to clean. Even when you have to apply pressure to certain areas used the most, you will not have a strenuous journey getting things cleaned up.

Internal surfaces require a bit more effort to clean, but not so much as a deep scrub. With the right cleaning agent–such as Comet or Fabuloso, those sauce and cream stains should come out with ease.

Always wanted a double oven for those times when I need two drastically different things in the oven, as well as convection. This is both of those. The top oven preheats drastically quick for the small and simple items, while the bottom remains large enough to cook even a turkey.

The downsides I’ve noticed are that there aren’t enough indications to warn of hot/warm burners. Just a single light to say there’s a hot burner, but which one? Could be a recipe for a burn or melted dish somewhere in the future.

Also, the top oven will take some experiments. Being so small places food very close to the heating elements. My first pizza was utterly burnt to a crisp before the cooking time was even half over. I’m pretty sure nothing can go bare on the rack in the top oven.

Also like others have mentioned, the glass top is nearly impossible to completely clean and scratches easily. We discovered right away one of our pots had a marred bottom that made some gouges in one location that did absolutely nothing to our previous stove from the 90’s.

Only had this range for a week or so, so my experience is limited. This is based onthe few things I’ve cooked. range top heats up quickly. both ovens have worked well and food has come out properly cooked.

Have not used the convection cooking feature yet. Two minor issues with this range so far. First, when using the top oven, there is not much room when you open the door to pull out what you are cooking without touching the hot open door with the back of your hands.

Assuming you are wearing oven mitts, it’s not much of an issue, but trying to pull out a frozen pizza from the top oven is challenging. The second issue is with the timer. When the timer ends, it only beeps once, then stops.

It will beep again after a minute, and every minute after then until you turn it off, but only one beep. I’m not sure how you design a timer that doesn’t continually beep until you turn it off. We’ve already missed food being done and having it over-cooked due to missing the one beep.

This should be something easily remedied by Whirlpool.

I am completely disappointed in this range. The overall look is sleek, but a closer look will indicate very cheap stainless steel. There is a one inch gap between the cooktop and the controller panel which makes it look unfinished.

The cooktop is very difficult to clean and damages easily. I have bought new cookware with the same result. My previous range was 20 years old and still looked perfect. This cooktop is so delicate that I am hesitant to use it.

The touch controls for the oven settings must be pressed very firmly so adjusting the temperature is difficult. Once the oven is up to the correct temperature, you cannot adjust it up or down without turning the oven off and then back on.

The oven light does not stay on which is very annoying. Apparently this feature is to save energy. The amount of energy used by the oven light compared to the heat element would be miniscule. The oven does not cook evenly.

I keep adjusting the oven shelves trying to find the correct heat point. It is impossible to use two oven shelves at the same time, e. g. two sheets of cookies, as they totally cook unevenly. I have only had this range for 5 months but I’m continually frustrated.

This is not the quality of product that I would expect from LG. I will definitely not buy an LG product in the future.

I am so unhappy about my new purchase. There are so many things wrong with this oven. And what makes it worse is that Consumer Reports gave it such high markings. To start, the burners don’t act correctly.

I can put something on low, and come back 20 minutes later and it is boiling. How do I ever just simmer something ever again? Cooking things with the convection setting take about 1. 5 times longer than conventional, which is totally the opposite of what is supposed to happen.

The air fryer is a joke. It, too, takes super long. We can no longer enjoy a crispy crust on our pizzas. They are usually too soft. The heat doesn’t seem to be the same in the oven. We tried doing the QuickClean and it, too, was a joke.

You are supposed to spray the inside with water and then run the QuickClean and then mop out the excess water. When the 10 minute cycle was done, the oven was mildly warm, and the water/steam did nothing.

The baked on mess was still exactly as it was before the QuickClean. I am so disappointed and so sad I own this piece of junk.

I’ve had this range for a month, and I love it. I have used the regular bake and convection bake options and both work really well. The convection bake is almost like having a double oven, because I can put two trays of cookies in at the same time and both sheets come out evenly baked.

The air fryer works great, though it requires an accessory that you have to purchase separately. But it is really worth it, and I gained countertop space since I could remove the countertop air fryer! I’ve cleaned the oven once, and again, the feature works great.

The only negative I have is the tier. When the timer chimes at the end of the bake/cook cycle, you cannot just press the “+” button to add an extra minute or two. You have to turn off the timer, then turn it back on and add the time you want.

It doesn’t affect baking or cooking. It is just a change that required time to adapt my behavior.

I am very disappointed with my new GE range which I’ve had for only a week. While I understand that the Sensi-Temp Technology is supposed to guard against potential ignition of food, for us it has resulted in guarding against the boiling of water.

(We were able to bring a standard tea kettle of tap water to boiling in about 16 minutes. ) When I complained about this initially I was told that the burner shuts off as soon as it reaches a certain temperature and that the stove is working as designed.

For me, this “feature” truly limits the usefulness of the stove. I requested service as I thought there might be some sort malfunction in the technology, but the service man confirmed that the burners were working as designed.

This does not seem to be as much of a problem for the smaller burners so I have been using them for most of my stove-top cooking which is not what one’s expectation should be with 4 burners. I grew up with a GE stove and I remember that Julia Child used to cook with a GE stove on her PBS series.

But this stove is nowhere near the quality of those earlier models. For ecological reasons, I decided to purchase an electric stove this time around rather than a gas model, although the gas model stove top is very responsive to temperature adjustments.

On the plus side, the stove is attractive and the oven has worked well when baking,. something I do frequently. My last stove had a radiant heat top, but I decided to go back to the coil design when one of those burners was “all or nothing” and a second burner’s top heating capability was “medium.

” Now I am stuck with a stove that does not meet my basic cooking expectations and I am sorely disappointed. While I did read product reviews, I did not see this particular issue addressed until going back to the reviews after I received the product.

From a purely superficial prospective this oven looks great. Upon actually touching and using the oven I am shocked at all the cheap material used in the manufacturing process. 1. The grates are coated aluminum NOT cast iron.

I do not expect them to hold up. A teflon coated aluminum griddle defeats the purpose 2. The grates are held in place by rubber feat that are glued to black poweder coated sheet metal underlay. How does that work when the oven top gets hot??? No doubt these griddles will wiggle and wobble once those rubber feet give out.

3. The knobs are HOLLOW plastic, the handles are plastic with an aluminum wrap on the front. 4. The burners are cast aluminum, the burner covers are powder coated aluminum and do not feel very heavy.

The burner assembly and the top grates have a couple mm of wiggle room so not precise machining. This may be how ovens in this price range are made now but it feels cheap. On the plus side the slate finish is nice and if you can look past the fact this is made of sheet metal and aluminum the ovens work well.

Though the top oven is small and the bottom oven is hard to reach. I ordered this online without seeing in person I would not have purchased if I had inspected in.

I purchased this oven in April of 2021. It was delivered and professionally installed May 1 2021. I have been manually setting oven temperature to 125 F to make chicken jerky. I have been doing this every 7-10 days until December 2022 when out of the blue the unit no longer lets me manually set oven temperature to anything under 170 F ! I called the number in my owners manual to have this repaired.

Over the next few weeks the following have broken down: the right front burners won’t set on anything other than high, the oven fan comes on every time I use the stovetop, and as stated the oven will not let me manually set oven temperature.

I called for service. In my area the only contracted service is through Service Pros. I received a call from them asking me what was wrong with my unit. I advised her that ,at that time, the oven wasn’t letting me manually set the temperature.

I advised her that anyone coming into my home must wear protective masks as I am fighting stomach cancer and am immune compromised from 3 surgical procedures. That was the one and only call from them.

After I made many phone calls to this company and never receiving a call back, a technician showed up unannounced without any protective masks. He looked at my stove and immediately said that I had a warming drawer….

this unit had no warming drawer! It is a storage drawer! He then proceeded to tell me that first of all that no stove , including mine, allows one to manually set oven temperature belie 170F! I advised him that I had been setting it to 125F since it was installed which was for 7 months.

He also told me that it’s normal for the oven fan to go on whenever the stovetop units are turned on as the stovetop units heat the oven ?? What ? I can go on and on as to the ignorance of this technician.

I asked him to please leave. Well it’s now January 12, 2022 and I have yet to get my stove repaired. This is a relatively expensive stove. I am so upset that I have this basically new stove that I can only use a few burners and cannot use the oven as I have prior to December.

I would appreciate information directly from you and your technicians as to whether or not the issues I’m having with it are indeed as I have been advised and if so why was I able to use the stove as also previously stated.

I am so disappointed in GE and the lack of backing their product. I request that my unit be repaired to my complete satisfaction or replaced at no charge to me with a completely new unit.

Just got the stove about a month ago. It seems to be a very good quality, overall I am very pleased. That being said, as a traditional gas stove user, there is definitely an adjustment period. I think that the problems that I experience are mostly having to do with the fact that I never used an electric stove regularly before.

But, the temperature goes up and down relatively quickly, there are many different options for a baking/air frying. The stove top gets very hot, and has lots of different options for sizes and variation in temperature.

Problems for me are keeping the cooktop clean… Sometimes it requires a special sponge, special cleaning liquid or using a razor blade or knife to scrape things off of it. There are requirements for keeping it clean, like not sliding pots over the surface and hot, which seemed a little onerous.

I might just accepthaving a stand cookstove after a while. A few other things that I do not like very much or that the timer is not very loud when it goes off, not great for the hard of hearing. Also, I have not figured out a way to add another minute or reduce a minute on the timer.

You have to just stop the timer and then start it again. Similarly, I have not figured out a way to adjust the oven temperature without turning it off totally, and then entering a new temperature and turning it on.

These are small annoyances, which I can deal with.

We were very excited to receive our new appliance. Our only issue is that the glass top is super sensitive. On our first use of our tea kettle on the first day, after the water boiled, we noticed specks on the glass top burner.

Initially, I thought that it was water stains. Unfortunately, after wiping it multiple times with the cleaning substance included with the range, the stains still didn’t come out. Subsequently, we’ve been careful using our other pots and pans but have still noticed blemishes appear that don’t wipe off.

Mind you, our pots and pans aren’t cheaply made so I don’t understand why this is happening so easily. I don’t want to have to diligently “scrub” the stove every single time something spills while cooking, etc.

It’s been over 15 years since we had the stove that was replaced. Are specially designed pots and pans needed for these newer ranges(?) lol If not for this issue, I’d give the product 5 stars.

I bought this stove about 3 months ago. It’s a nice looking stove but 2 days after arriving it started popping up error codes. The code would go away on its own or after disconnecting and reconnecting again.

About a week later the control panel shut off completely. Making the oven completely unusable. But no worries, I registered my product and gave a warranty so eveythings going to be alright? Wrong. I called Amana, they scheduled an appointment with some 3rd party repair company.

They came about 3 weeks after I called them. The repair man came, opened the back of the stove, put the screws back on and said “I can’t work on this stove, there are roaches in it. ” I was surprised to hear that and I asked him to show me.

He unscrewed the back again and pointed at a dead roach that have roaches in it. We had a back and forth that I’m not going to bore you with, but the jist of it was me trying to explain to him that a dead roach isnt akin “roaches in the stove” and he was apparently following some script to inform me that he can’t work on the stove and that I would need to contact customer service.

So I did, I explained everything to them and was told that my warranty is no longer valid. Great! I want you (as a potential customer) to think about that. A single roach defeated this stove and its warranty.

Having a roach free house is an impossible standard. Pest-control is not the same as Pest-proof. No extermination company would ever guarantee a pest-free environment. Their job is to control their population.

Which my extermination company does on a quarterly basis through our yearly contract. So if you buy this stove and have Pest control of any kind, you better hope A roach doesn’t find its way inside the stove and then die inside.

Amana (Whirlpool) customer service will do NOTHING to resolve this issue and like me you will now have a 100 lbs paper weight. All in all this stove is undoubtedly the WORST investment I’ve ever made.

In my opinion if a company like Amana (aka Whirlpool) makes appliances that are easily and almost instantly defeated by German roaches, then they should probably not be in the business of making selling appliances.

Buy at your risk.

I bought an Amana range from Home Depot on December 2, 2021 and it was delivered and installed on December 8. The stove worked properly until the first week of January, 2022 when the oven would no longer heat.

Our electrician came out and assured that there was electricity coming into the stove and actually the top burners were working properly. On January 5, Amana dispatched Anything Appliance to diagnose and repair.

The technician stated that the harness and the board were both bad and that he had never seen an incident where both parts failed at the same time. He stated that the parts needed to be ordered and as of today, March 30, the stove is still not repaired! I am expecting a service call on April 5 to repair the stove.

I am exceedingly unhappy about the long delay and believe that the entire stove should have been replaced. I made numerous weekly calls to the repair technicians as well as Amana and got no satisfaction.

I would never recommend an Amana product and I will never buy another.

Replaced a 23 old propane stove with this electric. More economical to operate and cooking times are equal to propane without the after smell of propane. Simple to operate for those that like simple.

Don’t have to worry about leaking propane and service calls to repair that problem. Should have made the change years ago. Used for one month and hopefully for many more years. My only complaint is flimsy utensil drawer.

Holds a lot but not built to handle anything heavy. I would say a cast iron cooking pan would be a no no. I already knew this before purchasing but my old propane stove would hold a cast iron pan but that was also your broiling section so storage didn’t exist really.

Among double oven contenders, it’s hard to find any better options. I replaced a failing predecessor to this model which I liked quite a bit, there are some aspects of this newer model I don’t like as much.

The cooktop material is a but nicer in appearance. The burner performance is great, like its previous sibling. The design of the backsplash control plate is improved in that its now glass touch controls va a plastic that wears.

The ovens don’t heat quite as evenly as the previous model we had. You’ll find a need to rotate some items for even cooking, which shouldn’t be necessary if designed well. The backsplash is thicker than the prior model so it encroaches on the cooktop surface leaving little room on the back burners for much more than small sauce pans or small fryers.

Anything like a medium saucepan will be interfered with by the protruding backsplash and not centered on the burner leaving only the front burners for anything beyond small. Rating four stars for overall comparative performance to other double oven options but there are design flaws that created a two steps forward, one step back experience with thus replacement model.

Good, not great.

I wanted a new electric double oven in Bisque to match my kitchen better. I’m not a fan of stainless but I just had a high end stainless dishwasher installed because quality was more important. Ended up in the same situation with this stove.

My range hood is stainless so it actually works well and now I don’t mind stainless. I chose this stove because of the reviews, capacity, ease of cleaning the ovens, the large burner controls at the front so you don’t have to reach over a hot stovetop, the option to control burner diameter on the 2 front burners ( love the extra large right burner for my canning pot – and the canning information in the manual), that you cam use a flat razor on the glass top to easily remove crusty buildup, the Proofing option for doughs which is wonderful to have, the Convection and ability to use it or not, the Timer function and it’s cute ringtone, the ability to lock the oven doors, the preset functions for common items like pizza, the ability to adjust the thermostat through Settings if it happens to run hotter or colder than the set temperature – that is a fantastic feature, and the ability to connect through a Google app.

To run a trouble shoot diagnostic, etc. I did the 1 hour break in at 450 as suggested in the manual before actually cooking anything. I find I use the oven warming option alot to warm dinnerplates and coffe mugs before using so things stay warmer longer.

There is no toast feature but I’ve always used the Broil function and just flipped the breads or whatever – only takes a few minutes. I am quite impressed with this oven overall. I’ve only had it 2 days and the first thing I baked in the upper oven was an old world Basque cheesecake – came out perfect.

The electronic control panel at the back looks a little intimidating at first if you aren’t familiar but after a few times you get it down easily. I really like the large, clear text and the orderly layout of the functions.

If I had to give any cons – I would have liked Convection in the upper oven as well. I also would prefer double the wire configuration in the oven racks. I don’t like that the wires are few and spaced so far apart – about half as many as I am accustomed to.

I will use wire cookie cooling racks on them if I need to for certain things. It’s a ding against the rest of the quality of this oven. I also would expect at this price point & quality that a broiler pan set would have been included and not an extra option/ expense.

Otherwise, I love this stove. It is bigger in person and the upper oven is roomier than my old one. My first LG appliance and I appreciate all the thought and planning that went into its user friendly, functional creation.

It is a beautiful and common sense functional range. Even if it is Stainless.

Had a similar model at my old house. Missed it, so I got this one. I love the double oven concept. Saves a lot of energy and keeps the house cooler during the summer. Great on energy savings. Downfalls are also the energy savings.

The stovetop takes a little longer than a coil top to heat up a pan. There is also a +/- benefit that it keeps a real constant temperature, but gradually gets up to that temperature. Buttons/timers on the top are still as confusing as they were in the first model I had, but I got used to them quickly (again).

I am not sure how I feel about the front nobs, they seem to get bumped/turned on. Previous model had buttons on the panel for the burners that I liked much more. I still love this stove and would recommend it.

*Caution* it is very easy to flip the wrong burner on/forget what zone is hot and burn something unexpectedly. After 10 years of making this model, I thought they would come up with some light or similar warning on top, but they haven’t.

Unresponsive buttons Buttons take way too long to register what you want Takes way to long to boil water The cooktop hhas these little creases where it makes it impossible to clean unless you take the whole thing apart My 3000 dollar samsung fridge with the integrated tablet is also crap – sprays water EVERYWHERE and the ice machine says, oh you want ice? nah maybe next time.

My samsung $1400 front load dryer has lost heat after 1 year. My samsung $1000 dishwasher consistently has dishes coming out dirty. Either we got the lemons of the group or samsungs appliances are among the lowest quality possible.

This has taught me to save up and buy a higher end brand appliance and buy it once for life – AVOID SAMSUNG.

I’m still working out the kinks with this range. The stovetop seems to work well, definitely better than my last one, but there’s no indication on the burners that have two rings which way to turn the knob for the small ring and which way to turn for the large ring.

I inevitably always turn the knob the wrong way. Just marking it somehow would be nice. The stovetop does cook evenly though and heats up fast without overheating, and can be turned down quickly if needed.

The oven – I’m a bit iffy about. It seems like the right hand side cooks faster than the left hand side, and the normal rack slot burns things but the one below it doesn’t cook them fast enough, so I can’t figure out how to get things to cook evenly at the right temperature they’re supposed to be cooked at within the time frame they’re supposed to cook.

But things still cook, so as long as I keep my eye on them and rotate dishes, which I’ve never had to do before, it sort of works out. The next issue is the wifi. That really needs to be improved upon.

I can preheat the oven, but it asks me to put in a time like it’s cooking from the start of the preheat, but the timer shouldn’t start until the preheat is done. This doesn’t make sense to me, so I just don’t use it.

This was a function I was very excited about and it doesn’t work right. It should make it easier to preheat, but it’s not, so I just get up and go the stove anytime I need to preheat something anyway.

Overall, it’s still an improvement from the last one but I think this range needs some work before it’s perfect. I have been working with Samsung to resolve the issues I’m having but haven’t found a resolution yet so as far as I’m concerned, it’s a good oven but not great, and could be improved upon.

This review is complete as I have found no resolution to my concerns and Samsung found no resolution either.

I’m now thinking about returning this. and we were so excited to get a new stove. The most critical defect of the design is that it’s way to easy to inadvertently turn on a burner. If it isn’t noticed, whatever is sitting on it just melted, smoked or worse, there is a burn injury.

It doesn’t have a spill ‘basin’ on top (quite common) so be extra careful because you’ll be pulling it out to clean up the sides. Trying to keep it clean and shiny is a labor. Scorched water leaves a residue not to mention actual food substances.

The weirdest design flaw is that of setting the clock. From first plug-in, it seemed intuitive and I set it, just around 12 midnight so it was ok, for the moment, as I had bigger things to accomplish with this stove! Of course, it could be reset as easily as a child’s watch from the local sporting goods store, right? Well, l knew that pulling out & unplugging the behemoth or shutting off the breaker would get me back to that initial time set but that would be kind of ridiculous, I thought.

So, I started looking at the manual and the front interface and there was nothing that addressed ‘resetting the clock’. The time button isn’t about the clock at all. I decided to start a chat with Samsung and after 45 minutes, I determined they weren’t in possession of the correct guide to accomplish the task, either.

For something they mention as part of their smart things lineup, don’t get too excited. With regard to connection to a wifi, it’s more of a gimmick. I rather would have had the convection oven feature and at this price, I thought it was included.

Don’t get too excited. For all the good manufacturing Samsung does, this product/design needs further development.

The product is simple electric range. I know they are short supply of parts. But I could observe many poor execution putting this over together. The gasket is not fully secured. And welding of the frame is shoddy.

I could see where mass production screw holes that seems out of place perhaps this frame made be used by different model. Also, over came out of the box the top surface had glue stains and seal seems not uniform.

This was replacement from original one deliver to me 3 weeks ago. I would choose different model if I had choice. I saw competitors quality and price much better at the store display however trying to match all the appliance to Whirlpool I stick with Whirlpool this time.

But definitely move to other brand next time to get better quality.

I became familiar with this model of the Hotpoint brand electric range stove when I recently moved into my new home. I was nearly broke and needed to buy economical appliances. After only a couple of months the burners did not properly stay level on the stove top so my nonstick pans would want to slide off.

Additionally, the oven runs about 12-15 degrees hotter than the digital temperature setting reads. This translates to burned bottoms and unbrowned tops especially when baking cakes, casseroles or anything topped with cheese like lasagna.

In conclusion, I’m disappointed with my purchase and wish I would have spent a little extra cash on a better stove. I recommend you steer clear of this.

We had this oven in our house when we first bought it, it was made a long time ago and I would be lying if I would say that I was not super happy when it finally went out and I got to buy myself a new one.

This is an ugly oven, it is plain and boring, there is absolutely nothing about this oven that looks appealing, it looks old and just does not feel like something you want in your kitchen. I hate the coil burners on the top, they always get something on them or under them and then clean up is such a pain, I found wrapping the trays under the coils in aluminum foil helped and made clean up a lot easier, but it still was not fun.

I burned everything that I put inside this oven. I could mess with the temperature and I would still burn the outside and the inside would be raw, even if I had it at a way lower temperature than what was stated to cook it at.

Cleaning this oven was not too hard, it did not have a self clean on it which made me have to manually do it all. This oven reminded me of the 1970s and it is a cheap oven if you ever really need one, but it is not something that you are going to be happy with overall.

This range is affordable and does a solid job of cooking, but be aware that it the cooktops use “sensi-temp technology”. This means that when the stovetop decides that your pan is too hot, it shuts off.

What this has meant is that when I’m boiling water in my tea-kettle, it often shuts off before my kettle has begun to fully whistle. I’m pretty sure the water is boiling and “hot enough”, but it is frustrating to have the stove decide when to lower my temperatures.

I think this would be mitigated by a tea kettle with a flat bottom (mine is curved). I have had to get creative at times when wanting to boil water or simmer soup for prolonged periods of time. Again, I think the stove can meet my needs, it’s just that I’m used to using the stove in a different way and I’ve had to adapt to the fact that if I keep the range too hot, then I lose consistent heat.

I will continue to navigate this feature and I’m sure all will be well in the end, but I would prefer to have a stove that can adjust to the way I cook, rather than the other way around!.

My husband and I were looking for an electric drop in stove we looked online at the American Freight Tacoma store. They did not have an electric coil drop in stove. We looked online at the Tukwila American Freight store they had a drop in stove what we were looking for so we drove to the store immediately.

When we walked inside The store the employee Jeremy was helpful he gave us all the time we needed to answer All of our questions we had many and at some point while we were talking with Jeremy about the purchase of this particular stove.

I asked Jeremy a question at that same time the Manager whose name is Caesar came over to discuss something with Jeremy but Caesar quickly answered our question. My husband and I were impressed with such coordination and good customer service for such a short time we were there for the first time ever! The drop in stove was smaller than we wanted so we did not get it and because drop in stoves are not in demand and very expensive.

My husband and I made a decision that we would make a drastic change from a drop in stove to a simple free standing stove. Low and behold we noticed these beautiful black free standing stoves across from us.

My husband and I both fell in love with these stoves. Black was the exact color that we wanted in the first place. We wanted to buy one of these stoves however since we live outside of the mileage range for lower cost delivery.

My husband and I told Jeremy that we were going to drive down to the American Freight store in Tacoma, Wa. to see if they had this same stove so that we could cut the cost of delivery price. Yes, we left and drove in the heavy rains down to Tacoma Freight store only to discover that they only had one free standing stove white color, digital clock and other amenities that we were not interested in, we were told that they do not get the free standing stoves in that often.

To my husbands frustration and a little anger because he kept saying I should have asked the store in Tukwila to call down to Tacoma store to see if they had this stove we wanted. I calmed my husband down I wanted him to focus on the joys and blessings that we had to look forward to when we have a brand new stove and the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday meal I was going to prepare that we will enjoy only within a couple of weeks.

When we arrived at the store there was a female employee who we saw earlier when we first came there she did not wait on us at that time but she remembered us. I said to her we want to buy this particular black free standing stove, immediately she stepped into action to assist us in what we wanted.

She was not pushy whatsoever! Neither did she try to introduce us to something else that we were not interested in she showed respect and interest in what We desired to purchase and Not what She wanted to try and sell us.

We were really impressed with her for sure! I asked her name her reply was Cassandra. I said to her that is a pretty name she has a beautiful personality! We asked her questions and she answered graciously, and patiently.

She was very kind, caring, and understanding for my excitement to purchase our new stove for all the cooking I planned to do for Thanksgiving. She is such a sweetheart that anybody would love to do business with.

She asked us when did we want our stove delivered we told her as soon as possible. She set up our delivery for the upcoming Wednesday. We thanked her for all her professional help in answering our questions and by giving both myself and husband excellent customer service.

I want to say we give the highest review possible to the American Freight Store in Tukwila. For how we were treated as a Mixed Couple we were treated very good not bias or looked down on because of our mix races.

My husband and I have experienced much bias, racism and mistreatment during our almost 20 years of marriage by various store employees and managers who just did not like our race and they made it known by the way they mistreated us like trash under their feet.

But we did not get this kind of mistreatment at the American Freight store Tukwila not one single bit!. Delivery day came as promised. The deliveryman called as said and we got our beautiful stove. They were two deliverymen one name Keith and other Caesar very nice men they worked so good together they were able to maneuver through our doorway and stairs in a narrow space without knocking pictures from our walls or breaking anything.

We were so happy and amazed at how well they brought our stove inside up the stairs to our kitchen. My husband and I thanked both deliverymen we told them how pleased we are with their work performance.

I don’t think there is a good enough review we can give that could adequately describe how pleased we are for doing business with such a group of professional, respectful and caring people from the Manager, to the floor employees, to deliverymen.

If you are looking for a simple stove without all the fancy features and functions, then this may be a stove to consider buying. Bought this stove for my elderly mom and she loves the stove and all it’s simplicity.

No digital control panels, no up and down arrows/buttons, nothing fancy. just clean simple manual knobs to select your tasks. Since my mom has admitted to leaving a burner on high inadvertently, the sensi-temp feature is a nice feature to have to prevent scorching and burning of the pot/pan and it’s contents.

The only reason we are giving it a 4 star review is that when the oven is in use, the cooktop becomes VERY hot. There is no insulation directly below the cooktop between it and the oven. There may be some lining the top of the oven (not visible to the user) but not enough to keep the cooktop surface from becoming quite hot.

Watch our for those fingers and hands and don’t place anything not heat resistant on this surface while using the oven. Other than that, a well-made product (so far). And. mom is a happy cook and baker once again!.

This is a pretty good range for the money. It is attractive in appearance and functions well. The oven temperature is accurate and the burners work fine. On the downside; the burner knobs are difficult to read position at a glance, The drawer construction feels flimsy.

Our biggest issue is with the smooth, glossy black cooktop. It is very difficult to keep clean and shiny without smears and streaks. Our range from 1999 had a textured top that was super easy to clean.

I spend 10 times the effort cleaning this new shiny one.

This is the basic oven that came with my apartment when I moved in several years ago. It’s an ok oven. The stove top heats up decently quick for an electric oven, which isn’t bad. I’m really here to talk about the oven and it’s timer.

The oven heats up ok, but i have to turn it up 30+ degrees to get it to actually bake at the temperature that I need (aka I need to turn it to 380 Fahrenheit oven when I need 350 degrees). And if you set a timer, it really interferes with your oven time and vice versa.

Whoever designed that clock and thermometer should really get that fixed.

This is a nice stove which offers several nice features. But, when using the air frying feature, it smokes excessively and smokes fills the house. It also messes up the oven walls, door, and fan even after taking all the precautions and steps that it recommends when using the air frying feature.

The oven was horrible looking with all this brown stuff/grease and I did not use any grease. I was just air frying some chicken wings. Where did all this brown stuff on the walls and fan come from?? Did this stuff get cooked on the chicken?? Will this happen every time I use the air fryer feature, regardless of what I am cooking.

Is the fan blowing all this stuff on the food? Isn’t this unhealthy with the smoke filling the whole house and the brown stuff. Will I have to use the clean feature every time after using this feature? I believe this feature needs to be re evaluated.

Also, the burners on top of the stove should be space out more so you can place more than two pots or pans at one time to cook your food. They are too close together. If you put more than two pots or pans, they are not evenly over the burners and you would have to use a very small pots or pans.

As well as the other burners are too close to the middle burner. It is a nice looking stove and with all the features it has, but I am not happy with the air fryer results that I have experienced at this time.

I am apprehensive to use this feature again because of the results I had before. I was really looking forward to using this feature a lot. This feature is one of the reasons why I purchased this Whirlpool stove as well as the convection feature that it offers from all of the other brands.

Have not used any of the other extra features yet.

We have had the range for a little over a month. Overall we love the range. We love the fingerprint resistant stainless steel. We love having 3 racks. The extra large burner is great for our large pasta pot and largest skillets and heats evenly.

The warming eye is nice for when needing to keep something warm while still using the other 4 burners. The only drawback which is not unique to this or any other smooth glass top model range is that you end up with stains on the eyes and you need special cleaners and special care to remove the stains from things bowling over or dropping something on a hot burner.

But this has been the case for the last 4 smooth glass top model ranges we have owned and used. So I don’t count it as a ding against this model. The convection works great. We have not tried the Self-Steam Cleaning yet, but then again we never use the “Self Cleaning” options on any of our ranges as we don’t like the amount of heat or smells it generates.

We just clean the ovens manually. On a side note, my experience with Best Buy customer support in regard to this order regarding delivery of the products, promised compensation for numerous inconveniences, inaccurate account information and their inability to accurately update their own database(s) and poor customer service in general based on which customer support call center you happen to be routed to has left me with a low opinion of Best Buy.

I love the EZ-Lift Grates on this stove. I purchased this unit to replace an older Whirlpool Stove. The EZ-Lift Grates make cleaning the stovetop a breeze and they can easily go into my Whirlpool Dishwasher for easy cleaning.

I’m still working on finding a way to keep the black stovetop streak free after I clean up oil or grease. I had hoped for a Stainless Top, but that was not an option with this stove. I like the large burners at the front, as they are the most versatile.

Simmer and warm on the back. The oven is enormous and I love it. I can put 3 full batches of cookies on the 3 racks and the conversation oven setting speeds up cooking time. It cooks very evenly throughout the cavity.

Haven’t used the broiler, yet. The Wi-Fi was somewhat complicated to get set up, but once it was all connected, it works great. Setting the timer on the oven is a bit complicated, but the app makes it very easy.

I wasn’t sure if I would find the Wi-Fi connection to the app useful, but I was just recently baking a couple of banana breads and I had set the timer. I went outside to do some watering and the alarm went off on my phone.

It took me a few minutes to get back to the kitchen and I was concerned I had burnt the banana breads. But, when I got into the kitchen, the oven had turned itself off with the alarm and my baking was perfect! This was a new feature to me, as my older Whirlpool Stove did to turn off the oven, it simply let you know the time was up.

Now, I need to figure out how to set the alarm and keep the oven on, so if I am making multiple dishes, the oven does not shut off. :-).
