20 Best Bras For Mature Women (2022 Updated)

I am so picky with how bras feel and am so dissatisfied most of the time. I wanted to get away from underwire because I’m 42 and want comfort darn it. So I explore a lot and this one doesn’t ride up my back as much.

So I don’t have to pull it down in the back hardly at all. There is some ribbing to keep its shape the only slightly bugs me, but not enough to disway me because it definitely is worth not having to pull it down in the back 50 times a day.

It also lifts up my big girls pretty well so I’m really impressed for a no-underwire bra. The cups are comfortable, it looks nice, and there is a nice shape. I wish it were padded for the nips but I just put my own padding cups in there for that.

Overall it’s not perfect but I’m going to be buying more and this will now be the style I wear every day because no adjusting all day long and it lifts and feels really snug and secure and all of that is soooo worth it for someone who’s 42dd in this style of bra.

I am 76 years old. I’ve been wearing a pullover type of bra. I’ve researched bras for a very long time. Also, it tlook me a long time to find my size. The other day I went to a retail store, wow have bras changed.

I tried on oodles of bras. It was not a happy experience. As I was leaving the store I meandered one more time thru the bra section of the store, and saw a bra that looked like a bra. I tried it on, shocked that it almost fit.

The cup size was too small. I took the info regarding the bra, went hone, went to the Bali site and ordered my size. It arrived, I put it on, and it fits perfectly, I just ordered a second one. Thank you Bali for this well made and comfortable item.

I have been buying and wearing this bra for many years. I have always ordered the same size. The two that I recently ordered, same size, were way smaller than they use to be. And stupid me, I washed it before I tried it on since it was supposed to be exactly like I have always worn, I couldn’t return them.

Unless I lose about 30 pounds, these are useless. Not sure why the sizes have changed, and no, I have not gained weight! Proof is my lifetime at goal membership in Weight Watchers. 🙂 I am ordering one more in a much larger size and will try it on before washing this time.

As an older, full-figured woman who has been a VF fan for years, I was thrilled to see you have brought back an updated version of my long-time favorite VF unpadded underwire bra (76145), which has been discontinued for years now.

I recently purchased 2 new Beauty Back Unpadded Underwire bra (42C) and find it even better than the older version. The double satiny lined cups lift and hug the girls perfectly without any excess fabric fold; the wide straps and smooth channeled underwire give all-day support and comfort with no slipping; but my favorite feature is the Beauty Back.

Its wide velvetlike width doesn’t ride or roll, allows for underarm freedom, and holds the whole breast/back area secure and lump-free, without feeling like a corset. LOVE THIS BRA!.

I am so impressed with Vanity Fair for so many reasons but most of all their Quality items and Wonderful Customer Service! This bra was extremely comfortable to wear, fit is perfect and I would definitely purchase! Does not ride up, sides are styled for no roll up and the straps stay in place!! They are the only bras I wear! The attention to detail is spot on.

Only suggestion I would offer is can you make the material the same in the back hook area that is on Style 76080 it is smoother and more comfortable but not a deal breaker in making this a purchase! Hope my feedback helps others in reviewing this item.

I’m a full figure busted woman. This bra was done right. Normally, I have to purchase European bras because the US sizes and fit never work if they are even available. I’m normally a 36G, but ordered 36DDD.

Surprisingly, my size was available. I wore the bra the day I received it for 24 hours. I did my daily activities in the garden, worked from home, and slept in the bra to give it a fair chance. This bra is a 10.

Ten for comfort, ten for all-day wearability, and a ten for all night support during sleep. The fabric is soft to the touch and almost felt like I had nothing on. It has that next-to-nothing feel. This bra is a win for my busty sisters.

Add more colors, and watch them sell out!.

I ordered this because it is almost identical to another Bali bra I ordered that I love, except this one is 100% cotton. I like cotton, especially in the summer, because my skin is really sensitive to synthetic material, but most cotton bras don’t fit me well.

So I was thrilled to find this one, and when I tried it on it fit perfectly. However, when I actually wore it all day (following washing) the elastic was so scratchy it rubbed a sore under my armpit.

So it is useless to me, but I can’t return it because I’ve washed and worn it. The elastic is NOT cotton, so it’s not like it was their only options, and the elastic on the nearly identical Bali Bra I love is totally fine.

Wowza. I have NEVER put on a bra without a wire and liked it. This bra smooths my back and holds everything up and in place very well. It’s not quite like a push-up bra or anything but it’s a bra that I’d describe more as a tshirt bra.

It holds everything in place really well and provides a little left but not a ton of lift. The straps are nice and wide so if you have bigger boobs the bra won’t be pull on your shoulders uncomfortably.

Unbelievable support from a wireless bra … if you’re on the fence … try one. I ordered a size up and felt like it fit perfectly. I’d order two sizes and see which is best for you when ordering.

Material and fit was as expected. I don’t like racerback bras like this one because they tend to cause pressure on the sides of the base of my neck and that feels a little like I’m being strangled. But I bought this bra for the type of fabric it is made out of.

I wish there was a design in this fabric (no padding, no molded cups, no wires) that set the straps wider on my shoulders instead of against my neck. The bright pink dye bled with my sweat into the shirt I was wearing over the bra.

I don’t think it stained, but that was unexpected and I wonder if it will stain another type of fabric. I would not buy pink again. The white did not have any color issues.

I’ve love these leggings. I bought 2 pairs several years ago and wear them all the time. HOWEVER, I just purchased several more and the sizing is way off. Last time I purchased a size medium and it fit perfectly.

(Those where made in India. ) The new leggings in a medium are too small. I checked the label and they were made in Indonesia. The new vendor’s sizing is much smaller than the ones I purchased several years ago.

I’m sending back and reordering the next size up. Very disappointed that I have to pay shipping twice to get the right size. :(.

I am a 40DD girl so I ordered a XXL since there is not a sizing chart listed shown just to see if they would work. they did not as the bras were WAY too small. I think these bras are meant for average sizes and not the big girls.

They do feel really soft and would probably be comfortable, needless to say, I’m disappointed and will be returning.

This is such a comfortable bra. Fabric feels so nice and it is lightly padded. I have been trying to find a good bra that I could stand to wear and this is it! You cannot beat the price either!!

These bras are so soft. True to size. The straps do not fall off your shoulders. They are so lightweight. Love love love

Out of the three bras I was given by Vanity Fair to review, this is my least favorite, but still a good wear. The Radiant Comfort Underwire Bra, Style 3475328 is by far my favorite with cup coverage, smaller back and shoulder straps, and comfort.

I have to “adjust the girls” multiple times a day but didn’t have to with any of the three styles I was sent to review. The other was Radiant Back Smoothing Underwire Bra, Style 3475312 and it’s similar to the wire free version.

I guess I’m so used to having underwire that not having the support is a little awkward for me. Overall a great product though. I would recommend it to friends looking for no underwire, but if I were to re-order, or order multiples, it will definitely be the Comfort Underwire style.

The straps are just so large on the wirefree and back smoothing bra that it’s hard to get past.

I am not usually a fan of wireless bras, but this one was surprisingly comfortable. It has enough structure to it to feel like it has underwire, but is also very comfortable. The modesty padding was just the right amount to do what it’s supposed to do without it looking like a padded bra, which is sometimes what you get.

I would say that the only thing I didn’t like was how it looked. I’m in my mid-thirties and I’ve had two children. Gravity is not my friend. I need things lifted and separated. This bra lifted, but did not separate as much as I would have liked for it to, but it looked fine underneath my clothes, which is what matters I guess.

Lovely well fitting bra for larger size, I am short in the upper body (short altogether actually) but hard to find comfortable bra in GG cup. Well done. Challenge! Make a wire free bra that still defines shape and gives support.

I love the back on this – smooth like and very soft. I found it a little large in the band, and not as supportive in the cup as I’m used to – so might try a slightly different size next time, but overall the fit and style are stunning.

Bought this as a change to the other good make of bra. Support brilliant, only downfall wire digs into breasts tight at the centre got to put a tissue in to stop irritation and redness. This is a perfect fit.

Wish it was in white too!.

This bra is very comfortable to the body. Sometimes I just want a light support under my layers of clothes especially on cold weather and this bra is perfect. I can even sleep with it on and forget about it.

The only reason why the four stars is that the hook and eye closure sometimes are hard to match. it would have been better if the loops stick out a little further. Thx Zulily for carrying this product.

I’ve worn this several times already and found it to be very comfortable, stays in place, with nice thick straps that don’t slip. It’s actually stretchy enough that I don’t even bother with the numerous snaps, just pull it over my head like a sports bra.

I usually wear a 36B so don’t fill out the cups totally. I think it’s a 36 fits all bra. There are darts in the cups which are a bit pointy and look odd under thin fabrics. Perhaps if I filled out the cups more, the darts would also fill out but I’m not sure about that.

At any rate, I just wear it under a sweater, cardigan, or top made with a thicker fabric and all is well.

I bought this in black just to try out the brand. I wanted a “sports bra looking” bra that would still “hook”. I love the front hooks. it’s much easier to put on than a regular sports bra for those more endowed, lol, like myself.

It’s extremely comfortable for a bra, lol. It IS NOT PADDED, so if you need padding this is not for you. It’s great for wearing under sweaters or heavier clothing. looks great even if left showing for those “off shoulder” shirts.

I really wanted this bra to work. I normally love this company but the same thing has started to happen and i am getting very discouraged. I have had this bra for about 2 weeks. It fit alright though the cups seem to be smaller than the same size of other bras ive ordered.

I have worn the bra twice now doing normal boring activities(nothing strenuous or high movement) as of now the underwire is already poking out through the fabric and stabbing me. this has now happened with three bras ive recently bought, and it breaks my heart at the lack of durability.

Shipping was fast. I wear a 38DD and had a tiny bit of spillage. I got the Lilian iris color and the lace on the bottom of the cup scratches my skin, by the end of the day I am ready to take the bra off.

The shoulder straps were you adjust to tighten and loosen them do bit stay put. I will tighten them and a few hours later the straps are loose and I notice that the little metal things have slipped down.

S&S has great prices, just wish they could make some minor adjustments to be 5 stars.

I am so pleased with this bra that I couldn’t wait to write a positive review. I am always a little wary of multi size wireless bras but I found that size XL accommodated my size 38DD girls really well – a near perfect fit.

Okay, there is not a lot of support but this seamless bra is so comfortable I forget I am wearing it. It’s also great under more form fitting clothes as it’s virtually invisible – no bulges or lines anywhere.

I am not a fan of padded bras but the very soft, stitched in cups really enhance my shape and don’t appear to make my bust look bigger, which is all good. Another bonus is that the pads are stitched in so they don’t migrate all over the place.

Great for lounging about in but I also think I might wear this when going out. I am really tempted to buy this in another colour.

Most comfortable bra I own. I bought this bra a few weeks ago and was so pleased with it that I bought another one. I am a 38 DD and the recommended size XL was a very good fit for a multi size. It’s not the most supportive of bras but it absolutely does not move – the bottom doesn’t curl and doesn’t tuck under the bust as often happens when you are full busted.

I think it must be something to do with the well constructed, partially stitched in cups that just stay where they should. I am not a great devotee of padded bras but these small soft cups just give a lovely shape and don’t make my bust look any bigger.

I would recommend this bra for anyone who is up to a DD cup possibly an E cup.

They say relax with good reason, this is some of the least bothersome underwear I now own. Up to now been a bit wary of Uniqlo’s sizing for bras, as so often the one-size-fits-four-or-five sizes does little for you if you’re not bang in the middle of those sizes.

I’m definitely at the smaller end and ask very little of my cups other than a bit of coverage and comfort; I was pleasantly surprised that this bra provided both while not being too moulded or cuppy to the point I felt it didn’t fit.

It’s soft, a little squishy, easy on the underband and I can forget about it all day. I can’t speak for how much support this would offer larger sizes, as there really is no underband to really speak of, but for me, this has been the most comfortable of the bralettes I’ve had recently.

I am 36 C looking for support and comfort and this item does a pretty good job at both. The only complaint is that the vertical stays under the arms some time pinch.

The nude color is odd, not the usual tone. Style does not suite B/C cup. The over coverage is not suitable.

This Bra is made from very high quality material and is very strong and very stable in supporting the breasts. The fasteners are also very well made and fasten securly. The Bra is also very comfy to wear all day long.

It’s practical, does what it’s designed to do. Comes small for sizes you need to order a larger size. Too many eyelets at the front making it rather bulky I’m not overly large, makes it uncomfortable

I like this bra but I thought I was buying the old style Serene bra. This bra actually is more like the Sienna bra. It is comfortable and soft. However, it does not support like the old style Serene bra, which I bought ages ago and miss being able to buy.

I have to admit I am still wearing some old ones, which are now very worn out but give brilliant support. Is there any chance of those ones coming back? Meanwhile the ones I bought this time will see me through while I search for my perfect bra once more.

Have just returned this bra and am waiting for a refund. It was the perfect fit for me and extremely comfortable. After wearing it two or three times, I washed it by hand (because I have such difficulty in finding bras that fit I always treat them with care) only to find both wires poking right out of the now-frayed material, for some reason one black wire and one white.

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the bra and have never had this happen before. I would not recommend this bra to anyone.

Bought as my previous bra was pinching under my arms, I work in a nursery, so busy! Bought this and it has helped so much! My boobs are fully covered and secure (not quite for jumping) absolutely love that there isn’t a label.

I am normally a 36DDD but sized up to my sister size of 38DD. I find the long line lace bras in bigger sizes doesn’t usually look the same or extend as far down the torso. But this one does. It sits in a good place for me.

There is a bit of flexible boning along the side to stop the lace from rolling up too much. If you do a lot of bending side to side, I could see the boning getting uncomfortable. Its pretty and supportive.

Smooths any back fat nicely.

Personally I love this bra, but I’m also pretty lanky. I bought a 34D and 32DD since I’m between both sizes, and the 32DD is a little on the tight side. I haven’t worn them in long increments yet but I can imagine for some, this bra might be uncomfortable for the plus size girls or honestly just anyone who isn’t the lanky type.

That being said, for my body type I love it. I’ve been searching for a longline bra with good support for a long time now and this is it!.

When I first put this bra on, I was in love with the fit. But after a few hours of sitting while driving & working, I got welts where the support boning was digging into my ribs. It’s beautiful, has a smooth fabric feel, but is painful for any length of time.

Maybe the measurement at the bottom of the bustier needs to be included? I guess my ribs don’t taper the way the bra design does.

A fan of the Melrose for many years I decided I wanted a change. I always thought a plunge bra was not the best idea for a bigger busted lady but, that is not the case! After reading the reviews I ordered a larger band size than normal with a smaller cup but neither of these were a comfortable fit so I took myself off to the local bravissimo store where I was measured and to my surprise advised to buy a size smaller band and cup.

The first couple of wearings the band was very tight but I persevered and after only a short while it was fine. The cups are elasticated so fit perfectly. I have since bought two more of the same style.

Hopefully, bravissimo will bring them out in more colours and it would be nice if the matching pants were also offered as a full brief for us larger ladies.

unless they are a narrow V shape. I find it shows a lot under scoop or square necks, even if they aren’t particularly low, because its very wide below the shoulders. Given the many comments about the back size (and the fact that its based on the Stella, which I know from experience is really small in the back) I took advice by phone and went from my normal 38GG to a 40H.

The lace on this one must be stretchier because it was too big and I exchanged it for a 38GG which fits much better. I need a low centre front to avoid wires digging in, and for this its fine, and would be reasonably comfortable if the fabric wasn’t so incredibly itchy.

I’m hoping this will lessen with washing, otherwise it might be another style like my Stella’s, destined to be relegated to the back of the underwear drawer.

I’ve previously bought this bra in black and I loved the fit, so I went ahead and bought it in white to. It’s fitted my mismatched boobs perfectly. And I love the plunge, I used to wear balconte Bras but the wires used to leave marks between my boobs, but since changing to the plug bras with stretch lace I have no issues.

I’d highly recommend this bra, bravissimo please bring it out in more colours.
