12 Best Car Lockout Kit (2022 Updated)

OK so good pricing on Home Essentials Direct. I checked it with my local wholesale house and it was $20 less on Home Essentials Direct. I am putting one of these on each of my trucks.

We have over the years gone out an purchased this piece or that to get the electrical safety met as needed. We have wasted more time doing that, than it cost to purchase a complete kit that go to every job.

DON’T WASTE MONEY WITH EXTRA TIME AWAY LOOKING FOR THE PIECES OF THIS KIT. JUST GET THE KIT.

Hubby asked me to get him this set after he saw a woman in the parking lot of a grocery store struggling to get into her truck after she locked herself out. She was quite upset and it was distressing to see what she was going through.

He felt that if he had something like this set of tools he might be able to help if we came upon a similar situation in the future. However, when he received it, he found out that things are not that easy.

It all depends what type of vehicle from which manufacturer and how the lock works, and you have to figure that out and use the right tool. This is the reason that this kit contains so many different tools.

Not all the door locks are the same. To make a long story short, he felt it was too complicated for him and I suspect he is never going to use it. I just glanced at the instructions myself and it did seem somewhat complicated too.

Maybe it is just us, but this is my honest review.

Indispensible. Well thought out. Never scratchup an automotive paint job with wire hangers again. Get into cars in a few seconds or maybe minutes.

The product was not the same color as I thought I ordered, but it worked out better. I originally ordered this in green or yellow, but the color in received was pink. I was ordering this product for work and after receiving the pink color I was a little apprehensive, but after a little thought, now I don’t have to worry about someone else taking it from me.

Also, it is highly visible so i will not accidentally leave it if i set it down after doing a lockout.

I ordered this in 6/27/22 and it’s now 7/11/2022 and still haven’t received it. Tracking has always just said label created. I’ve inquired about it twice with JB tools and just keep getting a generic answer that shipping is taking longer than normal.

I wish I bought somewhere else. Poor customer service, they haven’t helped me at all.

The Big Easy when combined with the inflatable wedge is the best tool for opening doors without damage to the vehicle. It’s simple and strong.

Convenient way to carry tools. I added a small bag for damage waivers, air wedge and wooden wedges. I clip the bag to the carrying handle with a caribiner clip. Works great. I considered having my wife make a carrying case, but the savings was minimal and the spacious red bag gave a very professional appearance and is of good quality materials.

My only problem was that the bottom seam was not sewn together well and came apart on the first day of use. Easily fixed though. I recommend this based on economy, quality, function and appearance.

Its a great asset and keeps all parts together so we are not searching in the dark for them in our patrol units. Nice compact way of doing things.

This is a top of the line product. I used one of these for years when I was a tow truck driver. So, I knew I had to purchase one being in roadside assistance; they are that good. JB Tool got it to my house quickly, two or three days max.

I would definitely purchase from JB tool again.

Looks like these wedges were hewn from typical off white Delrin blocks. Some of us may need somewhat thicker wedges though these can be paired with each other or other items to enlarge them.

I lock myself out of my car too often, and now that my kids are driving they do also. I’ve used these wedge sets numerous times to help open looked doors, never had them bend or break, and they are small enough that I keep 2 in the bottom of my purse.

These wedges are the size of the palm of your hand. pretty difficult to pry open a window in order to get the inflatable wedge in it. i recommended a bigger wedge. if you need multiple wedges at different points these may work.

This kit is perfect to keep in your car. I already had to use the jumper cables once! Very helpful, and a good peace at mind knowing you have emergency tools.

I was washing my car when my batery got drain, a Autozone Store was crossing the street, I got these cables and a good individual helped with my car. Great tool, a time and money saver!

The second day I had this kit in my trunk I got a call from my son who was nearby with a dead battery from leaving an interior light on coming off work. I drove over and used the jumper cables to start his truck.

I used the flashlight that was in the kit. Even though we have road service, this was a lot quicker. Every vehicle should have one of these emergency kits.

Appears to be well constructed. Nice that it’s made in the USA. Previous reviews are what prompted the purchase. Personally have yet to use it, trust it performs as advertised.

Appears durable and well made. Easy to use. Just press hard! Here in South Florida, we have lakes and canals everywhere. As a police officer I responded to so many calls of car in a body of water. Unequal pressure prevents opening doors.

Water can short out electric windows. So I keep a glass breaker tool in every vehicle close at hand. “Hope for the best and prepare for the worst!”.

This tool, if it works as it claims, is invaluable. Because it is meant to break windows I cannot claim to have used it yet. And I hope I never have to. However, I would never hesitate to break a window to save an animal trapped in a hot car.

Plenty of animals die every year from heatstroke by being left in cars with the windows rolled up. Sadly, the same is true with children.

The kit seems decent for it’s price. I was able to open up my car with it. Really love the two pry tools it comes with it althought you might want to be careful with it to minimize damage on door trim.

The air shim is ok and bars are also ok.

I work for a towing company who provides us with menial equipment for lockouts. This lockout kit is OUTSTANDING!! Allows me to perform my job with such ease and confidence.

Well I got it and it’s the best tools for auto locksmithing game charger great price but there was a few things missing from my order the CD was not there , the light up tip was not there and something else I can’t remember what no big deal well worth it.

I was blown away with just how complete this kit is . Also very happy with how durable the storage bad is.

Was very happy with product. Took out of package and came upon a lady locked out of her car. I was able to enter he Toyota in less than 60 seconds !!! And by the way. that was my first car that I’ve ever entered.

Maybe later I can get a larger kit with more varieties of entry tools and increase my knowledge. Thanks to you and your team for your product.

I will never purchase an item from this company ever again. They shipped my item to the wrong address and when I tried to let them know that they did they told me to go to the house they sent it to and to get it from the people that lived in the house which I had to use the police to get my item from the people that lived there.

The lady that emailed me was rude and disrespectful and treated me like I was lying to her about not getting my package and did absolutely nothing to help me. I will never recommend this place to any one else and I will make sure I let everyone I can know how rude this company was and how disrespectful they were.

They didn’t even give me the tracking number for my package until 3 days after it was delivered so I didn’t even have a chance to try and fix it getting sent to the wrong place. It took 5 days to even get in touch with someone to try and fix the mistake they had made.

Then at that point they just kept saying we didn’t mess up and wouldn’t even make a single call to FedEx to verify that they did mess up. I spent 152 dollars on an item they shipped to the wrong house and then treated me like I was a lier and like it wasn’t there problem to even try to fix.

Will never ever purchase from this company again. Don’t buy from them go to Amazon. They have better prices and will fix when they make a mistake and resend the item or replace the money you spent. Don’t trust this company with your money you will end up regretting it.

Good quality tool set. Everything I need for a vehicle lockout situation.

I was just searching for a new Z-tool came across this, I always used to laugh at the guys going from the weather stripping in, thought to myself what a bunch of amateurs. God forbid you pull out a slim jim in front of me I’ll just start rolling.

Holy cow this thing is awesome, it’s a bit difficult to carry around, and it wasn’t stainless steel, but as far as versatile, you can’t open a vacuum powered lock, any faster then with this. Looks like I’ll be buying the mini as well.

Because im a fool. Went home elderly neighbor locked out of car. At first crying tears of fears then i open her car in less than 1minute and tears of joy ensured. The only regret was. kit did not come with baby wipes for all the snotty hugs and kisses i got from the old lady.

Why? Why not the baby wipe? Help a brother out.

Worked as good or better than I thought. Have no experience unlocking locks but had a them open within minutes. Youtube videos were helpful. Make sure you get the kit with the 3 pressure pins. My second kit already had them installed.

I always had a tough time opening cars and was afraid of damaging the car. Not any more. Since my Department supplied me with this kit I have opened about 20 different cars with ease within a few minutes.

The tools are very easy to use and I like the variety of wedges supplied in this kit. All the tools and wedges appear very high quality to me and I have had no problems. The lock picks provided are great too.

I would highly recommend this kit if you unlock a large variety of cars and don ?t have a lot of experience.

The majority of the items in this kit are great except the two Orange cheaply made plastic wedges. The tip of the smallest wedge broke off on the first attempt to create a gap for the rod to unlock a door.

I had to use another officers solid plastic wedges to make entry. The other items were of good quality.

This isn’t a bad little kit. The reach tool is really good, however the other items in the kit can be upgraded as needed. There are much better quality airbags on the market, as well as wedges. Overall, I can’t complain about this kit.

It does what it needs to do.
