18 Best Car Magazine Subscriptions (2022 Updated)

I’ve been receiving Hot Rod magazine for years and enjoy it as a hard Copy. I spend too much time in the back office as it is and would rather be be in the family room with the hard copy. I think it is the only hard copy mag left and I use to receive 4 of them.

Besides, I’m partial to Hot Rod – they published my pictures in about 2005 of me Drag Racing in Adak, Alaska in 1969.

I bought Hot rod magazine for my husband for his birthday as he doesn’t want clothes and He loves his old cars. well any car for that matter. so I decided to give him the gift of Hot Rod magazine because he is always looking at Youtube at car drags, parts, and how to’s.

It was a hit He loved it!!!.

Although checked off as a continued subscription, it was handled as a new one. Because of that, I received 2 copies of the last issue and was shorted 2 months of the new subscription. Had to call Hot Rod to straighten it out.

I have subscribed to Motor Trend for many years. I enjoy the approach it takes to the subject. Down to earth and to the point. Other magazines present the literary approach rather than facts. If I want literature I’ll read Shakespeare.

Am a pevious subscriber to Motor Trend but it ran out while we were gone on a 2 month vacation. Great update on cars & trucks. Tried other auto magazines but Motor Trend is best.

I love the photos used clear crisp easy to view. New cars coming, super cars, concept cars, a step up from the usual stuff! So far great magazine! Thank u!

One of my favorite business magazines. Great startup stories and helpful information for people who want to have their own business someday. I like to know how successful people start their days and what their hobbies are.

SOMETIMES this magazine gives you that info.

This magazine is a great read, which provides general business information and can help sharpen business analytical skills. I have already gained a ton of new ideas, which I can apply at work. I believe that lifelong learning is absolutely necessary for professional and personal growth and this subscription is a must have.

I’ve been an Outside magazine subscriber for about 5 years. There are some great articles such as ones for deforestation, climbing Everest, and others of cultural or historical interest. One of the biggest issues I have with this magazine is the volume of ads.

There are pages of this relatively small magazine dedicated to showcasing (with just product pictures) the latest and greatest in biking gear, clothing, running gear, climbing etc. My issue with this is that almost all of the items are egregiously priced.

I don’t really know many people who would pay the prices for these items. For me, it doesn’t add value to the magazine. If Outside was the cost of the cover price, I would not subscribe anymore.

This is a magazine for people who like the outdoors, but also want to to be a psuedo-model/advertising type magazine. You’ll get photos of models in clothing, scenes that are supposed to be tantalizing, sections where they review new products for the outdoors, only these are the products that are for millionaires and no working class american would ever buy or even think of buying at these prices.

Of all the years I had the subscription I can recall maybe 4 articles that were impressive. A majority of it you will flip through, look at the pretty beach photo, look at the handsome guy posing in some thousand dollar outfit, look at the ultrafit woman in a thousand dollar outfit, look at some $6,000 bicycle, maybe read and article and recycle it.

Would not recommend this as it’s honestly a fluff magazine. Backpacker is by far the best outdoors magazine if you’re looking for something that you know, actually talks about hikes, camping, new gear you don’t need to have a PhD to afford, and useful information.

I have subscribed for decades. Usually surprised, often delighted, always inspired. As long as this Mag stays in print, I’ll be a subscriber. Discount Mags is my Agent!

My son (11 yo) and I both love this magazine. It covers topics from a wide range of the science spectrum. The articles are not too long or in depth, so it appeals to members of the general public who are scientifically curious but not experts in any particular field.

If you are interested in science, you’ll probably enjoy this magazine. Highly recommend!.

I have been receiving Discover Magazine for several years, and I am disappointed in its declining amount of content, fewer issues per year, thinner magazine, and increasing cost! I no longer see it as the value it once was.

If cost is of little concern, then it might serve as a quick little reference on a multitude of different topics of current interest.

Discover is the absolute perfect gift for the two science experts in our family! Such a joy to keep up on all the new developments in our ever changing world. Highly recommend this wonderful magazine!

This is a scam. I ordered the subscription in September. After Christmas, I began research on why the subscription didn’t start. Looks like In Touch does not allow DiscountMags to sell their subscriptions.

I am now waiting for a refund. Not holding my breath. I won’t buy anything fro DiscountMags and I suggest that everyone do research before they buy/subscribe.

I saved money when I bought a subscription to Intouch. I can read all about the state and intertnational news and evenlook at my future with the Horoscope. It gi8ves me “all” the news and more–that the other magazines do not give you.

I thought I was going to see some great recipes that I could cut out and save and try, but even when I find the few that look somewhat interesting, they are printed back and front and multiple unrelated recipes on the same page.

It would be nice if you could print separate recipes on each page. Perhaps you could put an advertisement on the back of the recipe. Other magazines do this and it is very handy. Also, I thought I would be seeing some original decorating ideas, but everything is the same as everyone else’s.

The mix of colors is awful. Grey and yellow–yuck! Just because flip or flop thinks it’s appropriate for a flip, in my mind it’s a flop–it’s no wonder they got divorced. Not everyone thinks junk is appropriate for fixing up a house.

I love the Gaines family, but I would never buy stuff that is worth almost nothing and put it in my house, especially if it has the rusted or paint chipped look. And I would never buy a set of dishes that look like they weren’t made right, or damaged.

It does not encourage me to go out and purchase anything, it just makes me want to hang onto the nice things I have. I’m hoping there will be some nice recipes and decorations for fall and winter and spring.

I’ve had a subscription to BH&G since the 1970s. Loved pouring over the designs, recipes, advice. Dog-earred my favorite pages for future reference and catalogued the issues. When the magazines got smaller, thinner and essentially only ads, I canceled the magazines and tried online.

But other online content was more creative and interesting. However, for old time’s sake, when a good deal came around to try the paper magazine again, I gave it a try. It’s still thin and has lots of ads.

It also has some good recipes and ideas. But it has lost its vim and vigor, which Is disappointing. Okay, not great.

I had been so looking forward to the first issue of Better Homes and Gardens. The September issue arrived and I was totally disappointed – none of the recipes were appealing, the decor was ugly, and the family article was flat – did not appeal to me at all.

I will not renew. I had purchased single copies now and then and I thought I’d get a subscription to look forward to in the mail (my young daughter also like the crafts in past issues). But we are both pretty dismayed.

I hope you don’t go the same way as Martha Stewart and Real Simple. I had always thought BHG was higher quality.

I love this magazine. I recently graduated with an MBA in Entrepreneurship and this magazine is the perfect way to keep abreast of the field and find fascinating companies. Very readable. I read it cover to cover.

I got this for my daughter, who just started her own business. She was so thrilled, and said she reads every line. She also said she is learning so much new stuff, that she didn’t know!I really hit the jackpot, when I got this gift!.

I’ve only received 1 issue and past due for others. It was a collection of international recipes; half of which I wouldn’t touch and loaded with ingredients you would never have around the house. I used to get this magazine about 20 years ago and couldn’t wait for the next issue, the recipes were so great and delicious.

Obviously that wonderful collectors of great recipes staff are gone and replaced with out of touch cooks and recipe collectors. You would be better off reprinting older magazine issues with great recipes.

Of course I only have one magazine to go by. Wondering if I’ll ever see another issue. You did however get my money. Saddened, Larry.

This magazine is filled with ads, and sometimes hard to quickly navigate. For instance, similar food magazines are organized into smaller, more specialized issues, with no ads (or ads disguised as reviews).

These more boutique magazines also come at triple or more the cost. The more expensive magazines have highly tested and researched recipes approach and almost 100% success rate for me. Allrecipes typically has a theme like the Holiday issue, but still has a smattering of random selections.

If I find one or two recipes which I cook, and like, I consider the issue a success and not a waste of time or money. Chef John, who they sponsor, is the only contributor who routinely has recipes you can trust and are at the level of the more expensive magazines.

Other contributors publish recipes which seem untested and usually flop. So, overall, I would say it IS worth your time to buy an inexpensive subscription, even if you only utilize a small portion of it, but don’t expect to be blown away by it.

I’ve tried multiple recipes in other well-known magazines, including those by famous chefs that appear on TV — while some certainly turned out delicious — but I found none that were consistently worth the effort to prepare.

I love to cook and during most of my 79 years, I especially enjoy trying new recipes with interesting ingredients. And, of all the recipes I’ve tried over the years — I’ve found that without exception, every single “Allrecipes” I’ve tried turned out excellent! Before ordering the “Allrecipes Magazine” I’d tried many of the recipes “online” — and every one turned out perfect — which brought me nothing but compliments from those who were fortunate to share the meals I’d prepared.

I really appreciate the fact that any “Allrecipe” chosen I can count on it turning out consistently delicious. So, kudos to the developers of the recipes that appear under your brand name — because, for me — I take great pride in the food I prepare and serve; so, it is indeed a comfort to be confident, minus any guess work and anxiety when I cook dishes using any one your recipes for the first time.

I like being able to actually look at a magazine with the information in it rather than jumping around on the internet. The magazine is for my 17 year old son who is looking to purchase a car or truck.

I’m teaching him how to use consumer reports to gather information about quality , reliability, etc.

If you need to buy a used vehicle, this will really help you with research. The only complaint I have is there is too much information! They have done research on things I wouldn’t have thought to even ask about.

A great product for anyone looking to purchase a used car. I would normally use the one at the library, but in these times that is not possible, so I am grateful to have been able to purchase this magazine.

I bought this to read with my one year old child. I have been very impressed with the stories and rhymes. They are age appropriate and engaging for a young child. My child now likes to sit up and flip through the magazine, which resembles in size to little boardbook.

I will note to potential subscribers that the stories are only three or four pages at the most (with usually only one story being at that 3 or 4 pages), but most stories or rhymes are one to two pages.

However, I feel like the content and artwork is quality to a young toddler. The material of the book is somewhat durable (more like a book full of magazine covers), but I would warn a parent to make sure that the child does not rip or tear because it’s not as durable as a boardbook.

As long as I have a child under 2, I will be a subscriber.

Beautifully illustrated publication made in small, sturdy form. Classic and new literature. Short and easy to read and keep small child’s attention. Highly recommend.

Purchased 2 year subscription as gift for 2 year old grandson. I’m told he absolutely loves receiving it in the mail. On the weekends he likes to get his Dad’s attention by retrieving his magazine, sitting down on the couch and patting the empty place beside him saying, “Read, Read, Read!”, “Story, Story, Story!” They say he’s always carting his magazines around and that they’re colorful and engaging.

This was a valuable gift for my grandson as it has already instilled the love of books and reading. He feels pretty happy about receiving special mail too! So much fun for him!.

I have a problem with the Oct 2021 article about bird photos. You had to go and politicize the issues with the Arizona Mexico border with the Road Runner photo. The photo and story line infers that the Road Runner was blocked from crossing the fence.

Just so you know, the fence has gaps that the gird can easily walk through. And for all the bird experts out there, the Road runner can also FLY over the fence. I subscribed to Science Focus because I thought there would be less political contamination of the truth.

I guess I was wrong. You should also talk about all the wildlife that is destroyed by the aliens ruining the desert along the Arizona border. You need to correct your story.

I have been a subscriber of bbc science focus for about 2 yrs now and it has become my favorite magazine to look forward to every month. From cover graphics to in-depth articles it keeps you very much informed on new research and refinements on old topics.

The graphics and the paper quality is great too. From kids to hard-core science readers you are sure to learn something new in every issue. I highly recommend it to someone considering a great science publication.

Started this subscription 12 months ago & since issue wanted to renew, but foolishly didn’t add DiscountMags ‘price lock’. So I’ve been clicking on & searching every email from them hoping for discount price.

This magazine is always featuring topical and informative stories. Often, before they reach the public’s knowledge. The stories are brief but well written and there is a wide assortment of photos and insights into the activities and current outlooks of many celebrities.

They also feature other enjoyable sections such as zodiac predictions, crossword puzzles and other mind challenges that are fun and take just the right amount of time to complete. This is my favorite of all the magazines that I receive! A good investment!.

I have read the Star Magazine for many years and most of those years I have had a subscription. One of my favorite features of the magazine is the fashions. I love seeing what the celiberties are wearing.

I love the gorgeous gowns they get to wear. I would never have an occasion to wear them so I can admire them on the women whose life bestows on them the need for so many beautiful gowns. I also just like to see all the fashions they wear.

Since I am a senior citizen, I love that you have articles on the older celiberties and not just the young people who fill all the other magazines. You also carry stories of interest that are in the news.

I look forward every week to receiving my magazine and reading it through. I like to share my pleasure with my other family members so I pass it on to them and they share them with their families also.

It has been a tradition in the family now for three generation.

I used to look forward to it. Now I must look for it. Now that it is no longer mailed, I miss out on many issues. I believe STAR started throwing the magazine like a newspaper the end of November. I received my mag 2 weeks in a row, covered in a plastic tube.

Missed 3rd, & the 4th week was in the community driveway uncovered, pages flapping in the wind with tire tracks all over it. I have only received 3 issues until today, February 7th 2016. The 4, I managed to get were only inches from the sidewalk.

My house is close enough to throw it on the porch, but that has not been done.

My 84-year-old mother loves this magazine. It keeps her mind active. The writing is excellent. My problem with it is that the political bias of many of the writers takes precedence over their personal vision.

But my mother grew up with this bias and she is fine with it. Well, each generation must have its own revolution, right? I respect hers. And the writing is excellent. And yet I would not recommend it to a friend – unless they were giving it to their mother!.

I always look forward to The New Yorker arriving with its thoughtfully-crafted articles spanning over many subjects. Well worth the price. It’s literature at its finest, not just entertainment. Perfect for people alway evolving and learning.

Lost the original magazine for the kiddos nerf rival. This fits perfectly and stands up well to the demanding standards of a 6 year old dynamo. It works not only for shooting those yellow balls of flaming agony but equally as well as a club when empty and seems to take well to being thrown.

I would not recommend the extreme operating conditions of our theater of operation, but normal suburban conditions should be childs play for this great accessory.

I bought for my grandson and he was excited because it fit his nerf gun perfect. It’s made for several of his nerf guns. I am satisfied with the product.

Glad they sell these separately to get the most out of the NERF Rival Hera and Stormtrooper blasters at a good price.

duPont Registry has interesting vehicles, but really no substance on vehicles, i. e. test drives, current values, and opinions. Very expensive for a magazine that only list cars for sale. You can find that on the internet for nothing, definitely will not renew subscription again.

Wired magazine has been part of my reading choices for at least eight years. Their articles cover a wide range of topics. ARticles are written in everyday language while covering complex topics. For example, an article provided background information for adults with post graduate degrees who were interested to study about the brain when the frontier was being opened by Dr Eric Kandel who later won a Nobel for his work.

The current issue covered up to date research for medication to replace opiates to alleviate chronic pain. Another about the new nerds who will soon dominate technology. History of TED talks. Great way to braodenone’s knowledge base.

I subscribe to this magazine every year. It has such interesting articles and recipes! No fluff – no adverts – just information and illustrations. There are reviews of products but they are done in an honest manner – highly recommend this title!.

There’s a little of everything in this magazine: good cooking instruction, great illustrations, not too many ads, good articles to help cooks explore new cuisines, and it is well written. I will probably take this magazine for years and so appreciate hard copies instead of having to read on line.
