20 Best Car Paint Polish (2022 Updated)

This seems to be a preferred choice in our gliding club to do an annual polish of gelcoat and PU paint-finished surfaces. More wax than a polish, hard to work without a polisher though the result is quite poor compared to other automotive polishes.

Does not damage gelcoat/PU finish and seems to be sealong the surface, which is by far the most important when dealing with aircrafts. Maybe there is a trick how to use propery it that we are still to discover.

Been taking care of cars since very young and really wish I’d have known about this from the beginning. Back then I think it was an as seen on TV product so I doubted its claims. Well it may not be the best polish next to actual buffing compound or may not last for a full year but it isn’t too far off, either.

I used this on a car last year and just now got around to reapplying it. It wore off what I thought was completely after a few months (NO wax I’ve tried has lasted anywhere near even that long) due to not beading water as well, but it protected my black paint all this time anyway.

The reason I now this is I didn’t apply to sections that need to be repainted and those sections just deteriorated worse over the year, while the protected finish did not. Highly recommended to those who don’t enjoy waxing their car but want the paint protected short of something like expensive wraps or ceramic coating.

I recently repainted the black hood of my car (bc/cc). First, I wet sanded from 1500 to 3000 Trizact, then proceeded to buff and polish. I’ve been using the 3M perfect-it system for years but for this project, decided to give the new Meguir’s Utra Speed system a try.

I used a combination of Meguir’s M110 and M210. These are designed to be used with dual action and/or rotary polishers. For the first pass, I needed it to be bit aggressive, so I used a Devilbiss rotary buffer, attached an orange 6.

5″ microfiber cutting pad and used M110 Ultra Speed Compound. I made the first pass in 2 sq ft sections. After this pass, wiped off excess with micro cloth. I then switched to a dual action (DA) sander and attached the same 6.

5″ microfiber cutting pad and continued to use M110 and did another pass. I feel the second passes using a DA helped to rid of possible swirls early in the process. After this pass, wiped off excess with micro cloth.

Next, I attached a Meguiar’s 6″ DA Foam Polishing Disc (yellow) to the DA and used M210 Ultra Pro Finishing Polish. I ran passes as before, wiped off excess with micro cloth, and that’s it. The results were phenomenal – and so easy to obtain.

I understand the new Meguir’s Ultra Pro system utilizes new technology. It truly is pretty much dummy-proof. I simply applied the material, buffed or polished with no pressure. The remaining material wiped off easily and left behind an amazing deep shine.

To me, this was much easier than the using the traditional 3M I’ve used for decades. I was very impressed and highly recommend to novices, hobbyists, and professional detailers alike. Good stuff.

you really can’t beat this product. As a professional detailer it’s a staple in my arsenal. My biggest complaint that even though this is the less dusting formula it’s still produces dust. There are quality products out there that dust less however that being said there’s always a place for McGuire’s 110 and 210 in my arsenal.

I’ve used Meguiar’s products for decades. These newer 100-series polishes are my favorite of any I’ve used. Typically I will use the 105 for the heavier correction, and this 205 polish to give it a nice gloss and get rid of the rest of the very fine scratches or swirls.

With an orbital polisher, these polishes are very predictable for me. The 32 oz. size provides the best value.

This product is designed to remove minor surface dust and provide the highest gloss possible. It is best used on well-prepared finishes (compounded, smooth, ready for polishing). The names say it all — Mirror Glaze and Show Car Glaze.

I can easily picture it being used on a flawless show car to highlight the finish and make it mirror-like. I use this polish to enhance the appearance of my vehicle. I also used it on a brand new car to perfect the finish and make it glow prior to applying a wax sealant coat.

This is really the best finish glaze product I’ve come across yet. It also works great on fiberglass and hard plastic surfaces (e. g. , Honda lawn tractor). Use it before you sell your car to make your car finish look like glass.

Absolutely great product. If you have older original single stage paint this product works wonders. Use Meguiar yellow Hi-tech yellow wax 26 afterwards it is wonderful

The thing I like the best about it when it dries in a space ware you didn’t wipe off it won’t be white. Read the label it”s true. Do one section a and wipe surface with one rag then buff with second rag for shine.

Dry’s with hard slippery surface and enhances the shine! A-+.

Great stuff, works great removing light scratches in your finish, as well as swirl marks. Easy to apply and remove. Leaves the finish with a great shine, and is pretty slick too.

After seeing reviews on YouTube I thought I would try. Amazing product. Even took a major scratch on in laws Cadillac and made it almost invisible with a polishing pad! Should last awhile but have used on 2 newer cars and best stuff I’ve tried and I have it all.

This purple polish and wax works remarkably well! It brings amazing depth and shine to dark colour paint. Im sure it works equally well for light colours as well. Worth the money!!!

I have been a body and pant man for 35 years and WIZARD CLEANERS AND POLISHES are the best product I have used to get and keep a high gloss finish on a car. the mist and shine works on anything , great for interiors and glass better than Armorall in my eyes.

Rub it on with one cloth and wipe it of with a clean microfiber cloth and you will have a high gloss finish , The polish and sealant are fantastic and give you a long lasting finish that repels water , snow , and dirt longer than other products.

After the exterior was claybared and polish wax, applied the polish and sealant. Very impressed with this product on my Freshman use. Look forward to doing my next vehicle. Left a much improved shine!! 5 star quality.

Goes on super easy and comes off just as easy. I have been thru torrential rain here and she still beads up into tiny beads that just roll off the body!!

Decided to use this instead of my normal Meguiar’s Ultra-Cut Compount 105. I’ve been using 105 for years as part of a 3-step process with a Porter Cable DA Polisher (PORTER-CABLE 7424XP 6-Inch Variable-Speed Polisher ).

I useSPTA 6inch 150mm Buff Pad Polishing Pad kit For Car Polisher Pack of 5Pcs. Here are my steps: 1. Ultra-Cut Compound 105. Orange SPTA pad. 2. Ultra-finishing Polish 205. Blue SPTA pad. 3. Synthetic Sealant 2.

0. Black SPTA pad. This has more cutting power than 105 but I did not notice aggressive cutting as other reviewers. It also does not have powder residue like 105. I made two passes on my hood (2yr old car) and noticed improved performance.

After two passes with M100, 1 pass with 205 and 1 pass with Sealant 2. 0, I still had a few micro-scratches in the clear coat but fewer than I’ve noticed while using 105 after just two passes. Bottom line – I recommend M100 over 105.

More cutting power than 105 but not super-aggressive. No powder residue.

A fast-acting, aggressive compound with excellent finishing properties. Good for removing oxidation quickly. I use this on commercial vehicles and when paint correcting on-location where I cant wet sand (wet sanding and compounding will take half the time of trying to paint correct with M100 alone).

Some are satisfied with applying a last stage product directly after M100. I highly recommend following up with M205 (or similar) and then applying your LSP. Under high intensity shop lights, compounding haze will be visible.

After watching a local professional full time detailer down the dock from me, I had to try it. He was refinishing a fairly well oxidized boat and the results with one step was a like new finish. I have tried just about everything from 3m’s Imperial to Meguiar’s Diamond Cut & One Step Compound (one of my favorite products) that typically I follow with 3m’s Finesse It for that incredible high gloss finish; then completed with Collinite Paste Wax (which has over time proven to give the best gloss & longevity).

My results were equally as good with a couple of passes and getting use to working with it. It quickly cut through the hazing and left a even (no flash back surface from below) that was good enough that I didn’t feel the need for Finesse between the wax.

If you are familiar with the propper use of a rotary buffer I would definitely give the product a try.

Just polished two cars. Put small amount on then wipe off a few minutes later. Company also has a sealer that I put on after. Rain rolls right off the car. Wax lasts for six months so twice a year and your all set.

Worth the price.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS FOR YEARS, ONCE A YEAR,AND IT IS WAY BETTER THAN CONVENTIONAL CAR WAX. JUST THE OTHER DAY I NOTICED FAINT LINES IN MY ROOF AND THIS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM.

This is the only car wax I’ll use. It works the best out of quite a few other brands I’ve tried. Put it on my car and truck twice a year even though they say once a year. Never had any rust on my vehicles.

I highly recommend it. The shine is super, and rain runs right off the car.

I tried PRODUXA for the first time last night at my job, let’s just say everyone including myself was impressed! It was hard to stop starring at my car and Guess what, this is only the first coat! It does exactly as described! Don’t believe me try it for yourself! We poured water on the car and it beaded right off, we even tested it on another car on the lot and polished, sealed and protected it as well.

Goes on smooth, fast and easy. Work great on Glass and Wheels Too! Took me 25 mins to do my entire car including wheels! Great product, can’t wait to use more and see what happens!.

WOW!! We can’t believe all the compliments we get about the appearance of both of our cars since we started using Produxa on them. Even better, after we’ve driven through heavy rains our cars still have that clean shine.

What a shine! And this stuff is so easy to apply my wife even helps. They say the protection will last 3 months or more, but we apply it each month. I even use it to maintain the new finish on my trumpet.

I can’t sing Produxa’s praises too much. Highly recommend.

I bought another product of the same make up of the PRODUX Premium for half the price to compare the two products. I found absolutely no difference between the to products. The other product was half the price of the Produx Premium.

SO, I wouldn’t waste my money on this product again when you can get the same chemical makeup in a less expensive product of the same type.

This is probably the first product that I routinely started buying when I started detailing my truck, and get an awfully lot of compliments from the shine and also thought it really sucked spending 5 hours with; because when you get it around the edges of the vehicle and the plastic/rubber trim, it would leave an UGLY white residue that’s impossible to ignore and I loved to apply more than one coat and use up the entire can.

As the years progressed and I matured, I developed better habits to make it beyond easier to use. Now instead of 5 hours I’m spending detailing (some others spending 12 hours, and once a month; which puts a whole new spin on ‘crazy’ in my eyes), I’m spending less than a couple of hours and less than 30 minutes actually working on either application or removal.

Even with a combination with other detail products that is far easier to apply but also more expensive and not as long lasting as NuFinish, this product is my failsafe if I need something protected or I WANT that hydrophobic properties that Rain-X provides so well.

I don’t know how these people feel about their product being used on windshields and windows; but for me, it’s been incredibly slick and a lifesaver in poor conditions. For $7. 58 you can either protect one vehicle for a couple of years (applying twice or four times a year) or several vehicles, and it’s still better than the high end products on the market.

I’ve applied Ceramics to my vehicle before and in my amateur opinion, NuFinish has the same hydrophobic properties as Ceramics. It’s just harder to apply, but with a little patience; then it’s do-able.

Habits I’ve Learned: >You don’t need to use a whole lot, spritz it with water to help with spreading; but you don’t need to apply it on REALLY thick. It’s going to seem like you’re not using much, and you don’t need much of this product to get good coverage; otherwise you’re just wasting product.

>Purchase an applicator like Turtle Wax often provides with their product, along with microfiber towels, to make application and removal easy. >This stuff is incredibly forgiving as far as application in the sun or the shade (especially if you can’t control when the Sun chooses to appear in partly cloudy conditions, and having light is ALWAYS nice); but always keep the vehicle’s exterior temperatures cool or don’t apply if the surface is hot.

You need this stuff to dry to a haze before removal, but having the surface too hot will make it impossible to spread effectively and even more miserable to remove if you’re lucky to do so without involving a serious wax/polish removal soap.

>If you get this on your rubber and plastic trim (which you should expect, because you’re trying to be a responsible vehicle owner), immediately clean it up with a wet towel before it has a chance to dry.

It’s only a big deal AFTER it dries for 30 minutes or so, then you have problems with white residue; otherwise applying this to my old man’s prized car, I’ve done it several times and never had a problem because those corrections were made immediately with a wet cloth.

Finally, make it a point to have fun. Even though you’re only applying this once every couple of months or once a year, you’re still going to get better results with this product than any wax on the market with superior hydrophobic properties that rivals Rain-X if you’re using this on your windows.

There is no better car polish! Once a year is all that is needed for Nu Finish paste. After using it for 7 years on my vehicle, I’m a true believer. Also, much easier to apply than a regular paste wax and can be applied in the sun (although it is easier in the shade).

I don’t think there are enough superlatives for it. I live in a hot, dry climate, but I wash my car at least once a month. I personally feel that it helps to have an electric (cordless) buffer. buffing once after it dries to a haze using a cotton covering and then a final buffing with a (simulated) lambswool covering.

The latter is important for getting the perfect mirror shine, which can be a bit tricky with hand rubbing only. This stuff is a polymer of some sort. Anyhow, it’s pretty inexpensive, so try it and see what you think.

I have been using this product for a few years. Both of my cars are relatively new and each get a coat of this before and after each winter. I find that it helps keep the car looking clean, and provides another barrier against that harsh road salt.

Your best bet is to thoroughly clean your vehicle by hand, make it as spotless as possible, then put on a good coating of this with a clean microfiber cloth that has been wetted slightly with water. Then work it into the painted surfaces of your car.

Make sure to do in and around the gas cap, and on the inside of the door frames (open the doors and go all around them). Work it in in small circular motions with the cloth. This process will take a while, but it will make things look great and help prevent rusting in the future.

After working it in, let it sit for a bit and cure, then wipe again with a clean dry cloth to really buff in the finish. I have not used it with a mechanical polishing tool, but I imagine it would make the work a lot quicker.

Try not to get it on unfinished plastic surfaces as the product will leave white streaks on it (not damage, but it won’t look all that great). Lots of work and patience to get it on, but your car will look that much better.

Great on dark colours but absolutely no good on metallic paint or light colours as it will darken it and mask the metallic glitter. ,I had to wash my BMW in Estoril blue 4 times to begin to get its sparkle back.

I recommend you clean your car and use this locally on scratches IF METALLIC OR LIGHT IN COLOUR as it does work, but just a drop on a cloth on your finger tip, repeat until it masks the scratch,do not spread it ! Then polish your car with a good standard polish of your choice.

Decent product , use in conjunction with turtle wax scratch repair and renew to repair light scratches. However, very poor customer service from super cheap auto online.

Nick provided me a sample of this polish after I ordered a extractor from them. I’m a big user and fan of Menzerna products and have had great success over the years using their products almost exclusively.

With that said i’ve always used SF-4500 as my third step and then SF-3800 when they changed it. I have a Nissan Altima in the shop now with some heavy swirl marks and scratches from 8 years of daily use and car washes and call me a skeptic but I didn’t think a polish made by a retailer would perform.

at all. I did two separate tests, both utilizing a Rupes Ibrid long neck setup as a rotary polisher. The first test was some deep scratches into the clear coat where I started with a Uro-Fiber shaggy pad with Menzerna HC-400 to get the deep stuff out and then skipped clear over Menzerna 2500 and went for Menzerna 3800 and taped off a section for Blue Diamond.

I used a Rupes white finishing pad. I could tell no perceivable difference under the sun and my scangrip lights between the finish blue diamond and Menzerna 3800 produced. I WAS IMPRESSED! So I figured okay let’s see what this stuff can really do and found some fine scratches into the clear on the trunk lid probably from a box that was dragged across the paint, they weren’t deep but I wasn’t expecting Menzerna 3800 to take them out let alone blue diamond.

I did the same amount of passes and timed myself on each section to ensure the results would be as equal as possible. Again Blue Diamond surprised the hell out of me! I’m going to finish the whole care in Blue Diamond and see how it works out and if it continues to perform in this manner I’ll be purchasing this instead as it is ~$35 cheaper than Menzerna 3800 per gallon.

Had a specific application where the clear coat was starting to haze on the darker color paint. It is on the front of a higher end motorcoach. Thought might try the Blue Diamond Polish and Sealant. The result was remarkable.

The haze disappeared. Applied the product to the entire coach using a Cyclo polisher for application then finishing with a micro fiber cloth. The biggest us was it’s ease of application. It is definitely in the ‘bag of tricks’ as a keeper.

I found this polish to be very effective and leave a lasting shine and protection (especially when you apply it twice within 30 days, per the instructions), but found the cleanup difficult. The manufacturer says it’s ok to apply in direct sunlight or when the surface of the vehicle is hot, and in Florida, that’s pretty much all the time during the day, and it would be very difficult to do at night.

It seems to be effective regardless of the heated surface of the car, but when clearing the excess off, it flakes into tiny little white specks which stick on the surface and require hard wiping to get them off.
