20 Best Car Seat Trays (2022 Updated)

The drink holders work well. The “french fry” slot is small and can only hold a small order of fries. Medium sized fries are too wide for the small slot. The fold-down tray is a little flimsy, but can hold one sandwich.

Overall, this product is over-priced and worth about $10, not $18. You also have to have the back of the front seat that this holder is strapped on straight up and down to increase the stability of the tray.

Otherwise, the bottom of this holder “dips” and your sandwich can slide off. That’s fine if no one is riding in the front, but can make for a fairly uncomfortable ride for the front seat passenger if occupied.

Concept is admirable, but could be a much better product.

The cup and fry pod holder is a grey molded plastic insert that sits inside the black unit. The inside depth of the cup/fry holder is about 4″. The insert comes out so you can clean it. Beneath the insert, you could store things – there is another few inches of storage down there.

However, there are cut outs on either side of the unit – so if you are storing a bunch of marbles, they will fall out. The cut outs are on the bottom of each side and there are integrated “hooks” on which you can drape a plastic shopping bag for trash.

A child would not be able to pull the insert in and out “on the go”; so don’t plan on storing drinks on top and expecting your child to get to toys on the bottom. That’s not going to happen with this design.

I’m considering using the unit without the cup/fry holder; and perhaps my kids can store books and toys in it since they have cup holders integrated into their car seats. However, the bottom of the black holder is not smooth.

It has “structural” plastic cross members. My point being, I don’t think they intended for the unit to be used without the cup holder insert. If you don’t use the insert, and you plan to store a bunch of kids snacks and trash in the unit, it will be a major pain to clean because of the plastic grid-like cross members on the bottom.

This seems like a great product if used for its intended purpose hold some drinks and fries, and put a burger on the shelf. I’m looking for something made with kids in mind and their car snacks, car toys, and car trash and I will probably keep shopping.

Took a recent bus trip. Had a friend that had told me about this. Checked it out and I said. This will definitely work. It did. Put my soft drink and water and some of my sweet treats on it. Easily to install on the headrest of the bus seat.

And also easy to remove. I would highly recommend this.

I was looking for something suitable for quite a while and this works well! I wanted a protector with some firmness / density in its construction to prevent indent damage from the moulded child restraint frames onto the actual car seat base and back rest.

This does the job. The base piece plastic and not fabric so is perfect to wipe down and the fold down at the front to stop little people’s shoes marking the front edge of the seat is an added bonus. Great that you can use IsoFix with it too.

The back rest has a soft padded fabric cover and also does the job of preventing indent damage. It will be comfortable for the child if they move on to a base only booster. Would have been great for the NZ / Australian market to have had another piece which could attach to the backrest and go between the top of the car seat and headrest to stop the anchor strap from squashing the top of the car seat when in use.

Perhaps in the U. S. A their car seats do not utilise an anchor strap? All in all, I can highly recommend this product.

Bought this to protect my leather seats and am beyond happy with how well it works. Left a rear facing car seat tightly installed for over 6 months through triple digit summer heat and single digit winter cold.

When I took the car seat out for cleaning the protector showed some significant dents, but my cars upholstery showed not a single sign of a car seat being installed! No dents, no stretches in the leather, nothing at all! Id recommend this product for any car, fabric or leather.

The seat back portion has even helped keep my seats clean and scuff free in the rear facing configuration while my kid happily kicks away.

I wanted to purchase the Tan colored Seatsavers. Buy Buy Baby does not carry this color in store, so they ordered for me free of charge. The color is a perfect match, it is amazing how well they work to protect my seat underneath without any indentations, and the size is big enough for full coverage of seat.

I also like how the back and seat covers are 2 separate pieces. For my one child, I only need the seat cover because she is in a backless booster. My other child is still in a 5 point harness so I need to use the back protector as well.

My infant takes this tray apart the whole time we use it. Her fingers then get pinched between the tray and frame. It is junk! Anyways, since we bought at Bed Bath and Beyond, UPPABABY will not help us.

BBB will not help us either bc it is after the return window. We are stuck with an expensive, junk snack tray. If you’re going to buy it, do not buy through BBB! Buy through uppababy so it is covered.

This tray looks good and works as intended. However, it comes up really high! I think it might be better for older kids. My 13 month old is 98% for height, and the edge of this comes basically up to his eye line.

He has to reach up to get anything from the tray and it obstructs his view. I really wish the height was adjustable.

It’s a very sturdy and nice quality tray, but I wish that the angle was adjustable. It sits up a little high (when my daughter is in the upright-most position, its about as high as her clavicle), so kind of awkward especially for a drink bottle that’s on the taller side.

We have Pura Kiki bottles that are a bit taller, but she’s able to get them in and out. Overall nice to have for sure. Our daughter currently enjoys sitting in the stroller inside, so I can set her up there with some food and drink and she’s happy (that’s what she’s doing right now actually).

Thank you to Stellar Product Test Panel for the Carry On 35 Lightweight Infant Car Seat. It is definitely a very lightweight carseat which is important when your kid is growing so fast in those first few months.

My little one was 17 lbs by 4 months so any weight reduction on the carseat itself helped. While the weight was a big plus, the design of the carrying handle was too big of a con to overlook. The canopy for the carseat is attached to the handle leaving only a 6″ slot in the center to carry the seat.

This made carrying it very difficult as you cannot use your arm to help support the carseat without awkwardly pushing on the canopy with your arm. Each time I used it, I wished the canopy was separate from the handle so you could still get good access to the handle for moving the carseat.

The handle also does not seem very sturdy so I had concerns about that as well. The other negative point I had was pretty minor, but it is that the harness release lever is hidden under the fabric of the carseat so you have to blindly stick your finger under the fabric to use the lever.

As far as functionality of the lever though, it is robust and works fine. For installation, I used the lower anchor attachment strap along with the base recline positioned and had no issues getting the seat level and secure.

Once installed, clicking the carseat in and out was very easy. The carseat fabric is very nice and is made from recycled plastics. An infant insert is provided as well. I did not use it as my baby is old enough to support his own head, but it looks like it would provide sufficient support for an infant.

The seatbelt harness system felt very sturdy and secure, so that is definitely a plus for a carseat. Overall the handle/canopy is just too poorly designed in my opinion for me to recommend the carseat.

With how frequently you need to handle the carseat with going to appointments or running into a grocery store, the handle is just not friendly for moving or carrying the carseat. The light weight of the seat is very nice, but doesn’t help when you can’t get a good angle to hold the carseat, so sadly, I would not recommend this carseat.

I received the Carry On 35 Lightweight Infant Car Seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The car seat is super light, which is great for someone recovering postpartum like me and being limited to carrying under 20 pounds.

I received it while my baby was 2 weeks old so I felt such a difference in weight in comparison to the initial car seat I used. I am a first time mom and still trying to figure out the benefits of having a heavier carseat than a lighter one, but so far the benefits of having a lighter carseat outweigh the former.

The adjustable base is easy to use, plus it has fun and easy to follow illustrations in the manual. My husband was able to install the seat quickly and accurately. One benefit I do like about this carseat is that it is certified to use on an aircraft.

I don’t think I have come across this specific qualification while researching other car seat brands. We do plan on traveling abroad soon since my in laws are out of the country, so that certification gives me some peace of mind.

Also, since the carseat is lightweight, traveling with it will be one less thing to stress about. One thing I would change about the car seat is the canopy cover. It is a bit difficult to detach it in case I were to clean it.

Another feature I liked is that the newborn infant padding support feels thicker than ones I have used previously. The carseat fabric is super soft and very ethical since the material is used from recycled plastics.

It also feels similar to memory foam, which we are fans of. My favorite feature of the car seat are the yellow buttons that help identify the different functions to remove the carseat from the base or to adjust the carrying handle.

Overall, I would highly recommend this carseat to travelers, moms who have a harder time recovering during postpartum and want to minimize the weight they’re carrying. Plus you feel great about saving the environment one carseat at a time.

I bought these on a whim for my 3 & 5 year old before a cross country vacation. I wasn’t sure if they would fit our car seats, or if they would be helpful or just one more thing to keep in the car, but these were amazing! Both kids have the Graco Extend2Fit car seats, and the travel tray fit perfectly.

The cupholder included fit the kids’ Thermos water bottles, and the tray was perfect for snacks & meals on the go. When the kids weren’t eating, they held toy cars, crayons, Polly Pockets-you name it! The tray can swivel to be in front of the child or off to the side.

These trays that fit in the cup holders of kids car seats or booster seats are great! This company is wonderful to work with. I bought two of them and accidentally threw away one of the thick bands you put around the bottom of the cup holder part of the tray.

I emailed them to ask if I could purchase a new one. They have one on the way to me right now. No purchase necessary. I’ll buy from this company anytime.

I actually bought this for myself to use for my phone and of course for snacks. The cup portion is almost the same depth as my car’s depth which is excellent. I bought something elsewhere that was too short to hold a drink steady and not tip.

This item is perfect for drinks! I did not need the sleeve but will keep it handy for changing vehicles in the future. A useful addition if needed to stabalize the tray. This tray will also be handy when my granddaughter is traveling in my car.

Easy to use. My 3. 5yo toddler liked it very much. We used to have a tray that hung from the seat in front, but we returned that one and bought this instead. So far it’s great. We buckle in the kid, then buckle this on, and the straps are easily adjustable.

It smelled of chemicals right out of the box, but I wiped it down and let it air out a few days and it is fine. He puts his toys and food on it. When he doesn’t want it, we put it next to his car seat and it doesn’t take up too much space.

Good price for this product. Simple, and does the job.

when I first saw this I wasn’t sure how well it would work. well it has been amazing!! when we go to town if my 2 year old son sees a McDonalds he has to have a cheeseburger and fries. well its not that easy for him to eat it in his car seat without dropping something.

with this tray he is able to eat and not make a mess with what he is eating. it also gives him the ability to color or set his tablet up to watch it without having to hold it. it is so easy to put it on his car seat my 10 year old is able to put it on for me.

Granddaughter really likes this Play Tray. It’s on the Flimsy Side. Don’t expect to pass to next sibling. It’s a basic inexpensive car tray with Thought Behind It. I don’t think it will hold up. Hope, I’m Wrong !! ~ Missouri USA.

This item was sent directly to my son and daughter-in-law. I never saw the item myself, just picked it out of your catalog. They say it is great and very useful in their car.

This arrive and was packaged in a dusty taped box. Looked like it had been opened. This was the original box not the one it was packed to be shipped in. Looked not at all like the picture.

I bought this for long car rides with my child. The edges are not nearly as firm or tall as pictures. It works, but not exactly as shown in the photos. The price was great and it does still do what its intended to, also the straps slipped a few times so I had to put a knot at the end of each one.

This was for snacks in the cup holder of my grandson’s car seat and it was flopping around every which way I tried it. I even tried stuffing the cup holder to no avail. I did however end up fitting it nicely in the cup holder that flips down in the arm rest dividing the back seat but the position is not ideal and having to remove the tray to flip the armrest up and down just makes for a cumbersome in and out experience when bucking the seatbelt.

Now that I’ve found the workaround I would buy it again but there’s definitely room for improvement.

This is the greatest idea ever and I’m so glad I bought two for my girls! They include a bigger cup insert and a rubber band insert to adapt and fit several cup holder sizes. They fit both my girls’s car seats perfectly.

One with the inserts and one without. I only wish they fit my girls’ kid recliner built in cup holders for when we do movie nights, but the opening on them is too small. It must not be a standard size.

Otherwise, I love these and highly recommend!.

Before they even shipped it to me, the company reached out to make sure it would fit with my kids car seats. I appreciated this as I’m usually pretty busy and don’t want to waste my time and money if a product isn’t going to work and will have to be returned.

I’m happy to say these do work with my kids’ car seats and my kids love them. I have a 2 and a 4 year old and they ask my to use them when they have snacks or food in the car. They’re super convenient!.

This is exactly what I hoped it was going to me because with my job I basically live in my car. The only thing is, I’m not able to keep the top of it secured I wish some instructions had come with it, because it’s hard to believe it is a design flaw.

It has great storage. My only complaint is that the front cup holders are low so if you child is in a tall booster type seat it’s hard to reach the cup holder area.

I noticed a lot of bad reviews on this by people saying it doesn’t fit their car. It would be REALLy helpful if the description tells you how to put it on! You MUST put your steering wheel upside down or it won’t latch right, unless you have a certain model that can be used upright.

The desk is intended to only be used with the steering wheel in the upside down position. If you do this, it works exactly the way it’s intended.

My husband was very excited about this, since he often takes his lunch in his car and it seemed a genius idea. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. It seems it’s only made to fit the steering wheel of a clown car (and he’s only driving a small coupe.

What I liked about this product is that it is convenient. When I go through a drive thru for a burger and eat it in my truck, I have to put everything in my lap. With this, it makes it a whole lot easier.

Getting it to fit on my steering wheel was an issue for me. Since I have a steering wheel cover (Texas summers), on my steering wheel, it did not fit. Had to trim it to get it to fit with the steering wheel cover on.

Once I did that, it was good to go. Would of been nice if these were made in different sizes.

There is no way that this “tray” fits the average steering wheel. There were no measurements to compare your steering wheel to the tray opening. That should have been my first clue. Great idea but poor execution.

The steering wheel on my truck is pretty thick on half of it and the thinner section barely allows for this tray to hang. If I work with it I can get it to seat. If the openings on the tray were a little bigger it would be better for my use.

Env: development The Taby Tray has been a great joy for our car rides. It is basically a small tray – think airplane tray. it feels and pretty much looks the same – that straps to your child’s car seat or stroller.

This gives them a flat surface to write or color on, eat on, play on, while you are driving. It also has a fairly deep cup holder built in, which easily supported a Burger King King-sized cup during our drive.

It has a lip around the entire edge as well, which is great for keeping crayons and other rolling items on the tray and off the floor. The bad thing about installing the Taby Tray is that you have to remove your car seat to put it in, but at least you only have to do that the first time.

It straps underneath the seat, but after the initial install (took my husband like 30 second) you can leave the tray attached. It just sits to the side until you want to use it, so the child doesn’t have to have it up all the time, only when he/she wants to use it.

I just pull it across my child’s lap and clip it in like a stroller seat belt buckle when my daughter wants to use it, and unclip it just as fast when she’s done or we get to our destination. You can also use it on a stroller, but I haven’t done this yet.

So far my daughter has eaten a few snacks on it, kept her drink in it, and colored on it with both crayons and her Aqua Doodle. I have a convertible car seat, but I also think it would work just as well with a booster, though it might be harder with the booster not staying firm in the car unless buckled.

Takes moments to install, and moments to uninstall and adjust if you didn’t get it quite right the first time (I. e. the leveling bubble doesn’t cross the indicator line). The LATCH system requires a little muscle if your car’s upholstery gets in the way of the connection, but I like that the entire base snaps into position with one motion.

I haven’t tried attaching it with a belt, but it seems easy enough to understand and everything is well-labeled with helpful diagrams on the base. My only complaint is that the support leg takes up valuable real estate in the floor board when we have to pack the car for road trips.

It also makes it impossible for my older daughter to slide by the infant seat base to get to her car seat when I’m trying to load everyone and everything into the same side of the car. This base is also *heavy*, but that’s what allows the seat/carrier to be the lightest on the market.

I know that the three-legged bases have been tested as being safer and I do appreciate that this was the base included for our Nuna Pipa. I think any parent would rate any base lower because there is room to question if you installed it right.

Yes, the green checks and level indicator are great features BUT it is hard to see if the leg is green once installed. We had to use our phones for light and camera to see if the leg was in the green section.

Overall very easy to install using the Latch system. Two clicks and then checking the leg. I also liked how there is an incline feature that you can flip out of the bottom. By using this feature, we were able to get the level in the center on the first try.

Overall, great product and I love this brand.

I’m very happy with the Nuna Pipa Lite LX car seat base. I purchased this additional base for my car so we didn’t have to keep switching it between cars or just using one car for pick ups. The base is well made and exactly the same as the base we received when we were gifted the Nuna Pipa Lite LX car seat.

My husband installed without an issue. I would highly recommend getting a second base if you use two cars. Great product!.

I love the way this cupholder looks and attaches to the stroller easily. I also love that it can be pushed away to the side to easily remove my son in and out. I don’t like that it does not fit all soppy cups ( mainly the 360 cups) it one works with out zoli cup.

Also the snack portion is a bit deep for son to reach but he is getting better at it. overall its a nice product – wish there was other options for nuna mixx.

My grandson loves this piece of add on for his stroller. BUT, you can only have the tray OR front guard rail, not both. So, when unstrapping my grandson, if he’s feisty, he could flip out onto the ground.

There’s nothing keeping him safely in his stroller. I almost had him fall out but was quick enough to catch him.

It’s perfect now that my baby is a toddler who enjoys snacking while on long walks. The tray moves just enough to put my baby in the stroller without having to take the tray completely off. If I had to, it’s so easy to do! No broken finger nails! Happy with my purchase!.

I honestly loved everything about this brand and this accessory. It was so unbelievably durable. This plastic lasts forever. My five year old still used his stroller just a couple of weeks ago and I didn’t think he’d want this tray attached but he did and he fit just fine (he’s big too!).

I definitely have to take the tray off to get him out now but it’s so easy. The cup holder could be deeper or have something to grip cups but it’s never really been an issue. I love Britax!!.

Super easy and versatile travel system. I’ve used it with two kids now. Only complaints being that the carrier is super heavy and the stroller gets too heavy in the back and will actually fall backwards if you hang heavy stuff on the handle of it.

(Like a diaper backpack with the clips) Not a ton of space under the stroller for storing stuff. Great quality, light weight stroller. Super easy to fold up. I’ve learned to take my stroller everywhere instead of carrying the infant seat.

This is a great stroller. It is just as it says, agile. It’s also lightweight and easy to use. With that said, I only gave it three stars because I do find it is lacking a few basic features that would make it much more accommodating.

The first being, it lacks a drink holder (beyond fabric pockets) for the adult. What?! I know you can buy the add on, it just doesn’t seem like an ideal solution. With that said, it also is not equipped with child drink holders.

The other big thing is that there is not a foot rest for the child. Their feet just kind of dangle off the stroller, and once they reach toddler age where they want to start climbing up into the stroller on their own, it makes it much harder to do.

These are just the two things that I feel are the most basic features that strollers should have that this one lacks.

I love my new tray for my golf cart. Added storage is such a plus. It keeps the dash area a lot less cluttered! Handy!

I have 2 jobs and often feel as if I live in my car. My front seat was horrible and it took me forever to clean the seat off if I had someone that needed a ride. So this organizer is perfect and allows me to strap it to the seat so it won’t fall off if I hit my breaks hard.

After calling Gall’s and speaking with a sales representative. It was the conclusion that this seat organizer would be the best chance of fitting what I was looking for. It works great!! The particular need I had was an organizer that didn’t require a headrest.

The tray is exactly what I was looking for in order for her to be able to color and have a surface for activities while in the car seat. I’m a little disappointed that the back and sides do not stay up and tend to collapse on her, I may try to add some stabilizer so it stays up also maybe an elastic hoop to hold a cup for crayons as they all tend to roll off into her lap.

This will work perfectly for our 5 year old on long car trips. She gets bored and whiney sitting in her carseat for too long, so we bought this to allow her to color in her coloring books with pockets to put her crayons and toys in.

Going to use this for a road trip for vacation coming up. My son is excited! Makes it so much easier for him to color and to keep things organized and within reach!
