20 Best Car Wash Nozzle (2022 Updated)

I give it one star because it does in fact allow water to get through it. Poor, random spray pattern, will waste tons of water, builds virtually no forceful jet or shower. I hope this one was defective, because if that’s how it was engineered, it’s the worst nozzle.

Looks nice but it took away any water pressure we had. All of the spray options were the same, water just spewed down like a hose on low without a nozzle.

It’s a simple design that works great. It even comes that an additional gasket. Just screw it on the end of your hose and flip the lever. No leaks or sticky triggers to deal with.

Water flow is really weak, it’s just designed to not really flow a decent amount of water.

This hose nozzle works good and I really like the lever for the turning the water off and on.

This pair of nozzles far outperforms either of the two dial nozzles I have. This older style is a no-frills mechanism that is tight-fitting and reliable. The jet (smaller nozzle) has only one spray pattern, but it is well focused and exerts an impressive degree of pressure.

I am impressed with its ability to clear off scum build-up along the lowest siding panels on my house. The larger nozzle has adjusts with an easy hand motion. I expect these to last a long time; one just cannot beat brass for longevity and quality service.

I wish I’d ordered these sooner!.

This nozzle works SO much better than the typical plastic models that last maybe one full year and then become more trouble than one can imagine! I have 3 plastic ones that do not work!! This brass nozzle is the BEST!! It doesn’t leak when screwed onto the faucet or the hose! It’s simple, reliable and inexpensive!! I haven’t tried the pressure nozzle yet.

I believe it will work just as well as the twist nozzle!.

I remember using ones like the adjustable (long) one when I was just a kid. The seem heavy and well made. The adjustable one seals well when you turn off the sprayer. It is adjustable from fine mist to long distance jet.

With them being made of brass, I expect to be using them years from now. I wanted the fireman’s nozzle (short one) to get extra height so I can dismantle web worm nests. It worked well, though if they made one with a smaller nozzle that would give me more pressure, I’d buy it.

I have been using this hose nozzle for 7 years, it never leaks very durable and the best part, variable spray options! I actually have six of these nozzles because I love them so much! At the time I bought them they were not expensive however now they have gone up as people have discovered how good this product is! I highly recommend this hose nozzle go other users!.

I have purchased several of these nozzles. I use two at my home, and one at work. These are great nozzles if you want to deliver a LOT of water quickly. These also shut off by turning both directions.

(Other red plastic “fire nozzles” only shut off by turning in one direction. ) The ones in use at my home are fed differently, both about 40-50 psi; one being fed with a 1″ pvc line about 100′ run from the meter, a full flow ball valve, and 50′ of 5/8″ hose – produces a deluge with this nozzle, the other fed with a 1/2″ copper line which meanders through my 1950’s house, a standard spigot, and 100′ of 5/8″ hose – still produces a nice heavy spray.

At work, we have wider results. Many of our wall hydrants really don’t supply enough water to make the nozzle useful as a sweeper. (They really don’t work that well with other nozzles either, so I can’t fault the nozzle.

) I absolutely recommend this nozzle for high volume uses where the supply volume is adequate. (Professor Chaos would love this one. ) For low flow apps. a cheap sweeper nozzle would be better suited.

Gets used in a number of applications. I bought a second to have just in case it ever gets discontinued. Tomorrow I will be using it to wash reusable air conditioner filters and, with extended brush, to take algae off the front porch steps.

I will also use it to wash vinyl siding on same day. I used it day before yesterday to wash/disinfect/rinse traps. I use it to wash out/disinfect the 96 gallon trash can. And for whatever else jobs that come up where it is applicable.

It is a great unit that gets the jobs I need done, done. Good job, Harbor Freight, good job.

Will start with the cons, less than clear instructions as it relates to hose connector/s. That is the quick connector can be remove. One just has to work on it(back & forth), until it start moving freely; also you might want to add a rubber washer before use with a garden hose.

The other “con” which is more or less a wash with me, is the fact that you will use more soap vs the bucket method. The reason I am giving the second a pass, is due to the time savings (good 10-15 minutes per wash on an mid size car), and the quality of the wash, looking like it came from an automatic car wash.

Over all one of the hidden gems of Harbor Freight.

Saw a professional detailer recommending an identical one in a video. It was a different brand that cost at least twice as much. This one is priced where they all should be. It worked great and I really didn’t need a wash bucket (I normally use the 2 bucket system).

Set the sprayer on wash to thoroughly wet the vehicle with foamy soap, spray soap on a wash mitt and wash the vehicle. Periodically use the rinse setting to rinse the mitt, then soap it again and continue washing with the mitt.

Then, switch to rinse and rinse off the entire vehicle. Dry with a squeege, clean towel or leaf blower and you’re done. The instructions gave no guidance as to how much soap to put in the cup, whether full strength or diluted.

I used Meguiar’s Gold from HF but diluted the concentrate about 75%.

I picked up one of these while shopping for other things. We must have half a dozen spray heads at the shop. I put one of these on and threw the rest away. No more dropping the hose and getting sprayed on the bounce.

I left the hose out one night and someone drove over the nozzle and broke it. My fault for leaving it out. I went to all the garden type places looking for one. Back at Autozone buying oil and filter there they were at check out.

I bought two and gave one to a friend. I’m going back for more to give to friends. They are that good.

While this is NOT a high pressure nozzel, for me, it works great for washing my vehicles. The problem with this nozzle is that the handle ALWAYS breaks off. It looks like it is attached on both sides, it is not.

However, I like them so much, and they are so inexpensive, that I buy a few at auto zone, and just toss them when they break.

I needed a small spray nozzle to wash some car parts that provided a little extra pressure direct from the faucet. It provided what I needed it for. Not as good as a pressure washer.

Good company but inferior product. I had one of these nozzles many years ago & it lasted for decades but eventually wore out so I needed to replace it. I found these & bought 2. 1 never worked & the other failed after 10 days.

They just locked up & would no longer allow water out. Company sent a return tag after only 2 requests. Now I need to find an alternative. JB Tool did a great job. The product needs improvement.

Excellent alternative to having to turn off the hose at the faucet when filling watering cans etc or using standard spray nozzles. I bought 2 and put them on quick connect couplings with 1 that I trimmed off about 1/2 inch at the end so the water doesn’t come out with as much force and works great that way too.

Over the past 30 years, I had two nozzles like my new one. The last one juet started developing a ponhole spray after 20 years. I didn’t think I would be able to find another one after all these year, but I did.

Well, I got it and love it. Best nozzle ever made!!.

The first time I used this it was great. Worked perfectly. Easy for my kids to use because of the sliding mechanism instead of a trigger. Second time I went to use it (a few days later) it was leaking where it attaches to the hose and from where I turn it to change the spray type.

It comes with a second rubber O-ring seal. Changed it and it still leaks.

I love that there are 8 dials to choose for water flow. The on/off switch is easy to move. The handle is very sturdy. Enjoyed using it on everything from washing my car to hosing down outdoor furniture and porch.

Worth the price paid.

My grandson picked it out and it is a great choice. You select the spray pattern you want and then move the lever to adjust the pressure. No squeezing the trigger the entire time you want the water on!.

Amazing tool! I purchased my original nozzle somewhere around the late 70’s early 80’s. I am grateful that someone recommended this nozzle to me and I highly recommend this nozzle. It generates ample pressure for cleaning projects without causing damage to finished surfaces.

Great product, by far the strongest/most directed stream of water I’ve ever seen from such a product. For use with standard 3/4″ garden hose, unit is about 1. 5″ long/tall. The lowest setting could be a little too much volume for some delicate uses, like watering plants, etc.

but for heavy duty/volume jobs, there is no better nozzle out there. that being said I have used it to water most of my outdoor plants (nozzle on lowest setting and spigot barely open) but it takes a little practice and may still have too much power for delicate plants, but I also have high water pressure (-80 psi) so your mileage may vary.

Anyway, overall a great unit that will deliver a very powerful stream of water to the target, just not a wide fanned out spray. Very well made, high quality right here in the USA!.

This is a fantastic power washer! In response to “Skinny” if you take the nozzle off the hose while in the close position, it can cause a vacuum seal and the insert can be suctioned onto the hose, causing the insert to pull out and then to release the ball bearing.

Simple fix: Always remove the nozzle from the house in the open position. Or put the insert back in, up to the ball bearing holes, add ball bearings, then push the insert in the rest of the way to hold the ball bearing in place.

Product received without instructions. Hope everything else is included. Poor quality control. Lets hope the same does not apply to the unit once I learn how to use it. The MATCC website does not show links to instructions.

This is a life saver. I used to clean my cars manually by hand which means mixing soap in a container and use towel to apply on the car. This is no longer the case with the foam maker. It helps me reach the high area of the cars such as the top.

Because of the pressure, it seems to clean better too. The whole cleaning process takes less time now! For the price, I think it’s a great deal.

Very pleased with this item, it works great. I used it to spray soap and bleach on my roof shingles to remove black mold streaks. It lays down a thick layer of soap and looks like shaving cream. I was able to spray from the ground without getting on a ladder.

I would say it sprays about 15 to 20 feet which is nice. I don’t think you will go wrong for the price.

The first thing you notice when you pick up this sprayer is the solid feel and well thought out rubber grip. When I hooked up my three-quarter inch hose to it, I got the most powerful blast of water that I ever have with a hose nozzle.

The spray is well controlled, and does not trip at all when shut off. This is definitely a well-made hose nozzle, I highly recommend it.

I have purchased similar looking nozzles that I was happy with. I bought two of these. This one looks great & costs less & if your looking for a low flow nozzle this would rate a #5. I gave it a #2 because it’s flow is so low that it takes a long time to blast the dirt off the bottom of my car.

I get the same result from a squirt bottle. They both are like this & will be in the garage sale this Spring.

The nozzle itself seemed sturdy however not at all as pictured therefore causing the need to return to store. Even the clerk at Cust Serv wondered what the extra piece was. Too complicated for such an inexpensive piece.

No reason why WM can’t take a tiny bit of xtra time to clearly explain what they sell.

As someone mentioned this is perfect pre-wash. Works excellent with my K2 high pressure cleaner. Yes, you still need your hands to complete washing with a sponge. For final wash I normally use Bowden’s Own Nanolicious car wash.

Overall happy with a product, it makes washing more fun and bit easier. In the future will try to top up container with different brands chemicals just for experiment.

Considering it’s price, it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Put the knob on medium-high, connect the nozzle onto the Karcher gun BEFORE putting in the foam bottle (people complaning they keep dropping the bottle but that’s probably because they’re grabbing the entire nozzle head when swapping out Karcher attachments).

The snow foam won’t stick like glue onto the car but I’ve YouTubed the expensive brands and they all fall off the car in 2-3mins anyways. The foam still stays on for about a 45secs – 1 min. Just make sure your Karcher pressure washer system is compatible with this one.

I had an old K2 system from 5 years ago and this still fit. Get what you pay for and it’s pretty good.

Such a simple little product can change the way you power wash. It even has a suds setting. What a great idea. It also has what we call a rifle tip in the pressure wash industry. Super product. Buy won before they figure out they can go up on the price! LOL Greg D.

Just bought this product after one of the nozzles of my longtime electric power washer broke. Popped it into my nozzle wand with no problems and got to work. All five setting work great! Great price for what it’s worth.

I’ve gone through my share of hose nozzles and spray handles. This nozzle doesn’t have all the fancy settings of the gun grip style nozzles but it is well made and will last a long time. The adjustment between fan and straight is easy and allows for lots of control in output, pressure, volume, and spread but also has a good amount of resistance so rotation mechanism won’t wear out any time soon and become loose.

The rubber grips are thick, easy to handle with wet hands, and will take plenty of drops and bumps. The on/off lever is not quite as robust and has snapped off one of the three I have after a hard drop.

However, the left side of the handle (which controls the internal valve) is still in tact allowing me to continue using that nozzle despite the broken handle. All in all a good value nozzle.

I had hoped it would give me a better long distance stream to rinse my solar panels. It does seem to flow more water than my other nozzle, that originally was a very small jet stream but I drilled it out larger.

This one will be good for washing the car as I can quickly change it from a wide spay to a narrow one, but it doesn’t have the distance for a concentrated stream. The shutoff mechanism works very easily.

I will still rely on my old one for the solar panels. But, at least this was only four bucks.

I like to use ones like this for car washing and driveway hosing. I have used one very similar in looks to this for a long time. I have only tested it but immediately saw that I did not like how abruptly it transitions from a cone patter to a distorted stream.

But, it is not a deal killer for me. I use a ball valve shutoff just ahead of nozzles like this so I don’t have to totally re-adjust the spray pattern each time I turn it on. This model does not have a built-in ball valve for doing that like my old one did.

That’s probably good since I found that one was a bit awkward to use so went to using a dedicated ball valve ahead of that nozzle anyway.

I absolutely love the Little Big Shot Adjustable nozzle. It is versatile, compact, and high quality. What I love most is the way these spray patterns enable me to perform virtually any watering or clean-up job.

It helps that it is made in the USA, and I LOVE that disabled veterans are the ones who work to make these available.

I work at a water treatment facility, industrial environment, with hoses everywhere. The nozzles we use are typically not adjustable and some may be worn. This is an adjustable nozzle I can carry in that little change pocket found in most jeans, and I’ve never had issues with the components failing.

I only buy a replacement if I lose them. The brass can be polished to an almost original shine using ketchup and baking soda. It has become my favorite nozzle to use with standard ‘garden hose’ lines.

I attached the Little Big Shot Super Nozzle to a 5/8 inch / 50 feet long garden hose. I was surprised by the performance. It’s like 25-50% of the power of a car wash power sprayer, making it far more powerful than a typical lawn spray nozzle.

It’s like owning a cheap power washer. TIP: The SHORTER / LARGER DIAMETER the hose, the more performance you will obtain with this nozzle. Those expandable / retractable garden hoses may be handy, but, they lack the pressure of 5/8 inch garden hose.

I was contemplating purchasing a known brand Foam Cannon, but I just could not justify paying between $50-$100 just for a foam cannon. So I took a chance on this one and I am SO HAPPY! This foam cannon is great, you can adjust the intensity of the foam and it sprays perfectly.

I am an advanced novice and detail my own car with a professional dual action polisher and all the chemicals that go along with it. Take my word for it, and take a chance on this no name foam cannon, you will be happy you did.

Works as designed. It would be nice if someone took one minute to print out a small piece of paper with some instructions on how to use it. Instead of a customer wasting product trying to do it on their own.

Not THAT much pressure. It would need another tip with a smaller hole to reduce the flow (GPM) and increase the PSI. Just okay for washing a car but does not have the punch to clean dirty or stained concrete.

It works good but it is NOT a pressure washer , it is a tiny. It more powerful than a typical attachment for the hose. If you need a powerful pressure washer you will need to buy the whole electric or gas powered unit.

The pressure is higher than a regular hose nozzle, but not close to a pressure washer. It worked for my purpose.

These soap canons are pretty much the same, what makes some more expensive is mostly the materials used. The design on this dispenser is pretty basic but the plastic is of good enough quality. The bottle has a good thickness to the plastic which is also good.

I guess the downside to this dispenser is that the bottle has plastic threads, the tip of the bottle you twist on. Better dispensers use brass for both sides which will usually last longer because of the stronger threads.

This just means that if you own a car wash you will probably want to go with a brass version. If you just want to occasionally wash your car then this plastic version is just fine. This canon has plastic bottle threads and a metal connector where you screw on the bottle but the bottle screws on very nicely.

The connector on the dispenser fit perfectly on my pressure washer wand and you get extra tips for your pressure washer. A pressure washer that comes with a built it soap tank will typically include a 65 degree black colored tip made of all plastic, this kit also includes a black 65 degree tip but it’s made of metal which is a really nice addition.

The tip on the dispenser should be also around 65 degrees but has an adjustable head. These dispensers work way better than built in ones because of how they push air into the soap, it’s a night and day difference.

As far as suds, this will mostly depend on the soap you use and that you mix it correctly. Every soap has its measurements for maximum suds. Lots of suds also doesn’t mean a better clean, you need to follow the soap’s measurements to get the best performance out of it.

I tested the canon with a cheap turtle wax soap that was performing poorly in a bucket and somewhat decent in my pressure washer’s soap dispenser. I tried it on this canon and it did an amazing job, very impressive because the soap itself looks watered down from factory.

Overall the dispenser works exactly like it should and it comes with extra pressure washer nozzles. These dispensers use very low PSI that most pressure washers that fit the connector should work, maybe about 800-1200 PSI.

The quality of soap will greatly affect its performance and you have to make sure that the dispenser has the little hose inside connected.

The unit is built ok. Certainly not over-built. It’s basic and functional. The plastic bottle is made to handle the pressure. It’s thick and seems break resistant. The nozzles do have the opening sizes printed in the color coated plastic.

Tips are all stainless except the oversized black one which is made of brass. They fit perfectly into my GreenWorks pressure washer spray gun.

It was easy to put together, and it’s easy to use. You can adjust the spray angle, orientation, and soap mixture. The container holds plenty of soap. The five included different angle nozzle tips are for rinsing.

This is a very effective foam cannon, and I’m really impressed by what you get for the price.
