20 Best Car Wax Machine (2022 Updated)

It is perfect size and eight for me , I been in automotive business over 50 years and have always used heavy commercial buffers and the weight of those buffers are all you need but heavy to get around with.

This Turtle wax buffer is the perfect size ad weight , and i use it more than my heavy type. Plus I have found over the years that Turtle wax does just as good if not better job than the more expensive waxes.

Years ago when I started driving my Black BMW 840i I had to keep quick spray detailer in the car to wipe it continually and then one day i switched off to Turtle wax quick spray detailer and found it easier and lasted longer and shine more and my cars go in cars shows cause of not only a dealer and automotive service all my life , but a collector of classic cars too.

This Buffer is ideal for anyone that wants great shine and not all the work that goes into a large commercial buffer.

Works Great!!! I used it to polish and wax my daughter’s black 2009 Honda Civic. She is a college student and her car is always parked outside in the weather and next to sprinklers on campus. Using a good polish removed the watermarks from the clear coat.

I then applied a good layer of wax for the topcoat. I was amazed at how easy this machine handled throughout the entire process!!! See attached picture.

Easy to handle and work in smaller areas. Light duty polisher. Buffed out my old pickup using fine to medium grit compound. No need to buy terry cloth bonnets. Easier and cheaper to lay an old towel between polishing head and finish.

At this writing, replacement foam bonnets not avail on this website, so purchased at Amzon.

I build electric guitars for my use and as a hobby. This hand buffer is EXCELLENT for this kind of work. It’s a bit bigger than I thought it would be but it can be operated with one hand (with occasional help form the other).

It’s got a thick foam pad attached to it so there’s little risk of burn through. I gave a headstock I was working on a coat of coarse polish, then some swirl remover and finished it off with carnuba wax.

It produced a mirror finish in less than 15 minutes. No need to break the bank for a high dollar buffer. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and easy to use. Sure beats doing by hand. Use this to polish my camper nose cap and it takes way less effort and less than half the time to do the work. Recommend this if your looking for a hand polisher.

Polisher/Sander is exactly what I was looking for. Smaller size than the 10″ that I had, allows more precise waxing around body parts, less waxing (almost none) with a hand pad

I have the WP900 and it worked as it should for about 6 hours worth of vehicle polishing over the 2. 5 years I owned it and it just failed. I opened it up and found that the on/off switch connections had wore a hole thru the plastic casing of the two power leads to the motor causing it to short out.

I spoke w/customer service and explained the issue and was told since it was out of warranty I could bring it to a service center and show them the issue and maybe they would do something for me. Not worth the trouble for a $30 tool that failed with so little use.

The problem is the power leads are too tight so they rub against the bottom of the switch connects so it was just a matter of time before this was going to happen. Disappointed to say the least that even though it is 2.

5 years old it had so few hours of actual use on it when it failed.

3. 5 Stars. This buffer works well. The cord is longer than other buffers I looked at, which is a big plus. The buffer pad that was included, pretty much single use because it tears easily. I was able to erase fine scratches in my paunt easily.

Mother’s polish works great with this buffer. 4 Stars if it were to include 2 applicators, or if applicator were easier to change. Overall Good value for price paid.

Delivery was super fast. The instructions for use of the polisher were clear and easy to follow. I did my wife’s car, then mine, then my son’s car over the weekend. This polisher made short and easy work of my “honey do’s.

” If you want to keep your cars paint from fading with a good wax job 2-4 times a year, I highly recommend this random orbiting polisher by the great Black and Decker. The warrantee far surpasses its competition.

I bought this to replace my other DA polisher from Harbor Freight, so most of this review will be a comparison to that. I don’t have any other DA polishers to compare it to, though. Pros: + Weight: it is VERY light, and this saves my back after a day of polishing.

My other DA weighs about a pound more. + Smoothness: I don’t get any weird vibrations from this and it keeps the DA from “walking” on you to a minimum. + Noise: it’s quiet, especially compared to my other DA.

+ Trigger lock: incredibly helpful! It took me a minute (longer, actually) to realize that you hold down the trigger lock button and then release the trigger to get it to engage. This was going to be a con before I realized I was dumb and fixed my user error.

+ Soft start: I like having this feature so I don’t sling stuff everywhere since I’m not a pro. The soft start would be a problem if I hadn’t figured out the trigger lock since sometimes you have to switch hands while using it, but with the lock I can start it one time and let it run.

+ Rotary grip: I definitely prefer the extended rotary style grip, especially when using it on tall trucks and SUVs. Cons: – Digital Torque Management: it works, but even with using the thinnest pads on the market you’ll still have to adjust your technique to get rotation.

Cars have so many curves these days that it takes some practice to get it right. It just won’t spin on some of the nooks and crannies, though. – Value: there are other cheaper, more powerful 8mm throw DAs out there (Griot’s, HF), or even a longthrow in the same price range (Adam’s) if you want to go that route.

And Meguiar’s has a shorter warranty than Griot’s or Adam’s. – I hope I never get the power cord issue that a few people had, but I know Meguiar’s will take care of me. Summary: The Meguiar’s MT300 is a huuuge step up over my HF polisher and it’s not even close.

I would typically feel exhausted and very sore at the end of the day, but the MT300 makes it that much better for me. Everything about this polisher is better than my other one. It’s value may be questionable compared to some others, so you’ll just have to find a price range and feature list that is acceptable for you.

Overall, though, I absolutely enjoy this polisher!.

This product worked very well for me. I purchased this and Meguiar’s DMCKIT6 DA Microfiber Correction System Kit. It was purchased to attempt to correct a 9-year old, weathered and damaged metallic black with clearcoat finish.

I used the correction kit with this to successfully correct most of the paint issues on my car. The polisher performed flawlessly. Compared to a traditional high speed buffer it is much easier to use and much safer/friendlier to paint.

The digital torque load management and ramping startup speed is different than a regular buffer or grinder, but actually part of the magic of why this polisher effectively buffs/polishes yet with little risk to paint, corners, edges, or trim.

It is relatively light weight for what it is. It is built well, and looks easy to maintain. It even comes with spare brushes which can be quickly changed. If I could add three things to this, it would be 1) slightly longer cord (still used with an extension), spring-loaded handle fasteners with quick locks so the handle can rotate without loosening/tightening, and a nice case.

These are minor convenience improvements only though. I am happy with the results from using this. The product performed quite well. I highly recommend it and the paint correction kit if needed.

Very nice and powerful, bought used, I used this on my buddies car for practice. He had swirling everywhere moderately deep, no deep abuse scratching. I did about 6 passes and 2 applications of compound for each section.

A pass being each time you completely have run over the whole section. Before I re applied compound, I wiped the pad and the residue off the paint. After compound and polish the paint was smooth and like new.

If you have swirling you can correct it with this, if it’s particularly worn paint you might try a microfiber cutting pad and compound. If you have deep scratches that look white (on darker paint at least) it’s too deep to correct with this.

If you have bad bird poop etchings you might make it fade depending on how deep it ate and how long it sat. But a DA is ultimately meant to be “gentle” and won’t cut fast or deep into the clear coat as a rotary or wetsanding.

It is good for most applications of paint correction though, and you don’t risk burning through your clear coat or paint with this.

Meguiars DA polisher is a handy bit of kit. Saves a lot of elbow grease & more importantantly saves time. I was I bit worried about the Meguiars ultimate compound & compounding pad(available seperatly) cutting though the clear coat, but it did not.

To cut though clear coat you would have to hold in the same place for 20mins or more. So good for beginners to use. After using the 4 stages (meguiars clay bar, compound, polish then wax) the car (15 year old paint) came up looking like brand new paint.

I used a drill with no load speed of 2900RPM & works great. Only issue I have is that you have to buy the 4 stages mentioned above separately, not available as a kit in one box!.

I bought it thinking to upgrade my current water/polisher. Maybe it was just my particular machine (as we all know sometimes they are defective), it really didn’t do much but vibrate and make a mess.

It didn’t really work the wax and/or compound into the paint like I am use to with the older (late 80’s early 90’s) machines Ive been use to for decades. The nice thing I liked pads included cleaned very easy in the washer even after they dried out.

I ended up returning it and sticking to old faithful.

This polisher is for paint that is in decent condition. You can achieve a show quality shine with little effort. I have used orbital polishers in the past and this is one of the best..

Soooooo easy to use. Only negative thing is that it was very difficult getting on the extra lambskin buffer pad I ordered at the same time but with some (male) muscle that was accomplished. Overall it works great! Uses very little polish cream to cover the whole car.

I’ve owned my Bauer since 2019 and it’s 2021. It can definitely put out good results with some small cons. The Pros are: 1. Delivers great results 2. The price is good 3. Available to pick up from a local store 4.

Able to switch from 6 inch backing plate to 5 inch and 3 inch backing plate. 5. Minimum pad stalling The Cons are: 1. It gets really hot when polishing for a long time. The heat blew out one of my 5 inch pads and part of the pad melted to the center of the velcro of the backing plate.

Also, the heat destroyed one of my 3 inch pads as well. So, you must take breaks to avoid the polisher from getting too hot or get a backing plate with vent holes. See pic of destroyed pad. 2. One model of 1814E-B is built better than the other.

The one with the sub-model# 64529 is built better than the 64528. That number can be on the box under the serial number or on the polisher under the model number. See youtube video: Teardown: which Bauer DA polisher from Harbor Freight is better? See pic of the box with sub-model no.

3. Vibration can be a bit much if polishing for hours. Short term is not that bad to handle. Wrapping things up, I think this is a great polisher to start with and keep because you can switch to 3 different backing plates without having to buy another polisher.

If money is tight or you are just starting, there is no reason to buy a Rupes, Flex or Griots, when this polisher can get you the same the results. Sure, those other polishers above have less vibration, run cooler, and stalls less (well the Griots G9 stalls less), but you can move up after you feel there is a need and then keep the Bauer for your 3 inch polisher to get in those tight spots.

My advice for owning a Bauer is: 1. Get a 5 inch backing plate and 3 inch backing plate. 2. Change the grease. 3. Watch youtube videos for what polishes and pads to choose. Personally, I learned quite a bit from watch youtubes videos from Apex Detail and Dallas paint correction.

This is not my first DA polisher from HF. I have used the older version/brand that looked very similar to this one. I will say this is an improvement on the last version I owned. My only comments are that it is loud, and runs fairly hot when doing a lot of polishing.

It would get very uncomfortable to hold on to the head due to the heat. Running it with the handle would solve this issue but I find using the handle to be awkward and does not allow the control that having your hand directly on the head gives.

The backing plate is fine and functional but putting on a nicer backing plate (thicker w/ more flex) from other companies is certainly a thing to consider. This DA had no issues running a 6″ pad doing “heavy” correction.

I do think it runs much better with a 4 or 5 inch pad as it is easier to control/gets better bite. Overall, for the price I think you cannot go wrong for a first time user, hobbyist, or detailer who is just starting out.

This 85 dollar tool can and will make you money and give you great results at the sacrifice of noise and comfort vs. much more expensive polishers.

I’ve now used it to maintain my 2 cars for the second year. It’s a decent tool and will get the job done. Absolutely no vibration dampening. I would not use this thing to detail a lot of cars. I can barely hold on to this thing on speed 3.

It’s horrible. Speaking of speed, while using it you’ll turn it back on, same speed and it’ll be much slower or faster sometimes. The speed dial is way too easy to move. The speed changes with vibration or a feather dragging across it.

At one point it glanced against something lightly and abruptly went full speed blowing wax everywhere. Was a major pain to clean up. I now have the speed dial taped to 2. 5. It does make my cars look fantastic.

It is less expensive than DA polishers of similar quality. They need to put detents on the speed control dial and add some form of vibration control to the screw in handle.

This is the best Ive had. Comes in a hard shell case and 3 different sizes of wheels. Perfect in every way. Just what I wanted to supplement my dual action polisher.

This is a great polishing tool & id recommend it to any one for use in polishing or sanding your car or bike Etc & it seems well made plus you can dial in your speed as you go & it’s not too heavy to use on long projects.

It comes ready to use in a case which is handy if you want to carry it places plus you have every thing you need including buffing pads 2 & sanding pads 2. Great buy!.

This is a great polisher at a very reasonable price, great for the car enthusiast who wants to take care of their own cars.

Nice power, low vibration, smooth operation. Some stalling around curves but over time I’ll learn how to tilt the buffer to avoid stalls.

This is an excellent performer. Can’t beat the deal. I bought this to put in my son’s drift car. He is not ready for a brushless system. The esc is identical to one from HWing (red heatsink), and the build quality is exactly the same.

Side by side the only difference is the heatsink. Performance is the same. Easy set up. Just plain works. Really nice motor too. Reminds me of a Hackmoto. I will probably buy another just to have on hand.

As described. Would appreciate English instructions to know which buttons do what. Boiling is hot and so silent so I have on my desk. Excellent

The steel briwstles have no nylon coating on their ends and are very sharp on the skull, will cut into your skull if you press down. This product needs to be improved

The photo needs to be updated. This is the G6 orbital polisher. It comes with Griot’s 3 in 1 wax and 1 – 6” foam pad, but any 6” pad will fit. Use your own combo of pads and products for your custom needs.

Decided to go with this one over cheaper ones on the market. I am impressed with the quality of this product. So glad I spent the extra money. It is perfect for weekend warrior detailing on my 2017 Silverado.

I’ve never used an orbital polisher before but found it easy to jump right in with the G6. Really great results removing spiderwebs and holograms. Will be using this one for years to come.

This thing is total junk. Don’t waste your time or money. The power cable doesn’t stay tight so the unit shuts off randomly, the Velcro for pads doesn’t stick at all, so the pads fly off when using it causing damage to the paint as the Velcro slams down on the paint you’re trying to fix, it overheats, vibrates like mad, and is 100% not worth anywhere NEAR the $200 I paid for it.

It’s going back tomorrow and I’ll hit Harbor Freight for a far superior product at a much lower price!.

I bought this to revive the original faded and oxidized paint on my 1973 Charger. It is very easy to use, just takes time and patience to work through an old paint job that needed some love. I watched several videos on youtube about how to do this, as well as several that rated this product against others.

I also bought the 5″ conversion kit with 3 different pads for correction, polishing, and waxing. I used Griot’s products — first the correction compound, then polish and then show wax, with the appropriate pads and it is truly unbelievable how much of a difference it made.

I highly recommend this polisher and would buy it again if I had to do it all over again.

I have used the Griots garage synthetic clay bar and was very impressed. I have watched the use of their different DA polishers on their website. And, decided to try it. The one at Autozone was the less bells and whistle model but did not disappoint! Along with the polisher I purchased the black pad and the compound in the yellow bottle.

I did a 2 step on the whole car. The results we better than I hoped or expected. Far exceeded them in fact. Griots products are top notch and would not hesitate to buy anything they sell. the scratches that can be removed are incredible.

I tried wet sanding with 1500 grit a few spots that had some deeper flaws. Then did a 2 step and the paint now looks like it is wet it is so nice.
