20 Best Car Waxing Kit (2022 Updated)

I was skeptical of getting something like this for a while. After having something of good size bounce off my hood on the freeway, I went for it thinking rubbing compound would remove to some if not most of the mark.

So I went for this. Glad I did. It worked very well. Paint was left super shiny and extremely smooth after treating. It was as if there was a fresh protective coating on the vehicle. A day later it rained and how the water beaded up was awesomely surprising.

Two draw backs, be careful around some of the smaller areas and wish I had more time to do this to the other vehicles. Overall, another great product from Mothers and glad I went with this.

Everything works pretty good. I was able to restore a few stubborn places on my FJ Cruiser that was really dull and that a clay bar alone couldn’t take care of. Two complaints: 1) The polishing solution which is your second step can be difficult to get off.

2) The pads for the polisher attach by velcro. I can see at some point in the future this may become a problem and wear out. You can always purchase new pads but, the place on the buffer that the pads attach to may be a problem.

I purchased the mothers Wax atttack V2 approximately 18months ago because my previous wax attack machine failed electrically. Now this one has failed as well , the machines do a really good job but dont exspect the product to last.

Such a shame.

This allows you to get the dual axis spinning action you see on high end polishers for a fraction of the price. Most home users just doing their own car don’t need a $100+ professional polisher. This will allow you to get comparable results for a fraction of the price.

The more expensive options will offer better ergonomics making them easy to use for hours at a time. If your only spending one or two hours a year there is no sense spending the money on a higher end polisher.

It installs onto your drill chuck just like any drill bit. Hold the handle steady and that’s it. A fully featured DA polisher by using tools you already had. It feels well built and couldn’t be a lot easier to use.

I recommend this product.

I’ve used rotary polishers before, and of course if you are careful to move them back and forth quickly as you go you can get excellent results. However I have frequently lost the rythm or pressed to hard a left a nasty swirl that takes ages to get rid of.

This attachment oscillates rapidly back and forth as it rotates, which allows you to hold the drill steady and move gradually across the surface without leaving swirls or uneven areas. It fits into the drill chuck so that you have one hand on the drill’s trigger and the other on the attachment handle.

The bearings are very low friction so there is little effort to stop it spinning, and the weight is moderate so not too tiring to use provided your drill is lightweight. It feels unwieldy to begin with but you get used to it.

A short, compact drill is easier but I found my little 10. 8V Bosh didn’t have the power and I ended up using a small mains-powered drill. The Meguiar’s pads are good quality and after five hours use with rubbing compound the pad shows no sign of wear.

There are different pads available for rubbing, polish and wax and the compounds seem to be good quality, if a little expensive. I’m not sure if there’s any difference in the material of the pads but they are different colours, so I suppose that helps you to not mix up your rubbing and waxing pads! The pads are about 9cm across so it takes a while to cover a panel, they fit with velcro so it may be possible to use a larger pad if your drill is up to it but I don’t think Meguiar’s make one.

The attachment feels solid and well engineered; good quality. At the time I bought it halfords was the best price I could find (three score) and with a 3 for 2 offer I got a couple of extra pads as well, so top marks for value.

The system is great, the only issue I had was that the yellow foam polishing pad that came with the unit, detached itself from the velcro after just 5 minutes. Its quite expensive to buy the replacement pads, so this has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Is there anyway i could get the yellow foam pad replaced?.

This shower curtain is one of the best I have ever bought. This is the second one, exactly like the first. Length is exact and misses the floor by 1/4 inch. I got the second one to hang when washing the first one.

I found that white vinegar pre soak , followed by a hot wash with a lot of bleach makes it look brand new again. Didnt hurt it one bit.

I bought this wen waxer about a year ago. I have used it mainly as a massager. Everyone that I used it on gives it raving reviews including myself. I have sents purchased one for my son-in-law and another one for my mom and I’m back to get one for my sister.

Everyone loves getting a massage with this waxer. At Family reunions there was a line. The reason I picked this one was because the handles make it easy to hang on to. It easy to hang on the back of a door with a towel under it to use on yourself.

With the way the head ocelots it has not tangle in hair. I love it.

I tried another new product for smearing money on my truck yesterday. Turtle Wax ICE Spray Wax! I must say I am very impressed with the results! I have been waxing it with Turtle Wax Black Magic for 6 years to cover the scratches and dings from the previous owner, who had no respect for this vehicle IMO, and have been happy with the results.

The Black Magic however takes a lot of work to remove and buff, and does nothing to hide haze and swirl marks. This Ice spray goes on easy and buffs fast. I did not pre clean or strip the old wax off, but it was pretty much gone.

The best thing about the ICE wax is you can spray it on everything! I sprayed it on the glass, paint, trim, plastic, everything. It leaves no residue and makes even faded plastic look better! This truck has needed polished for years to remove haze and swirl marks, I don’t have the equipment to do it, so it never got done.

The ICE wax hides all the haze and all the swirl marks, the finish looks the best that it has since I have owned it! I will definitely continue to use this product on the black finish, Not so sure about the blue Mustang, but we will see.

Black is so hard to make look good, haze and swirls are nearly impossible to hide, until now. I had stated that i would never buy Black again and excluded black Mustangs from my search, If this product remains available I would recant on that statement.

The only negative I found was it took an entire $12 bottle to do the truck, but depending on how well it holds up, it might have well been worth it. Now that this truck has to sit outside it will be interesting to see how long this product holds up.

I purchased this item because before the re-invent and rebadging of this brand, the previous synthetic liquid wax was much better. After using this one time I threw it out. Advance will not refund or exchange for another product so I trashed it right outside the store.

Not worth a dollar.

I am old school and have used many different waxes and exterior treatments over the years I’ve been detailing my cars and trucks. This stuff is the simplest finish protectant I’ve ever used and the results are spectacular.

For you other old timers who remember using the old paste wax or even some of the liquid creams, you will also remember how they loved to jump onto the plastic and rubber no matter how careful you were.

With ICE you will never have that problem. It coats everything on the exterior surface (excluding windows) with ease and beauty. The finish is awesome on paint and the chrome, plastic and rubber looks just as good.

It nice to know the entire exterior is protected and I don’t have to reach for a different product to cover each surface. It seems to hold up as good as the paste waxes and even you disagree, it goes on/off in less than a quarter of the time.

The directions don’t lie and you will certainly want to use microfiber cloth for removal.

This is a great all around starter kit for cleaning/ detailing your car. All the products are great!

This product was not in the gift box as shown, it came in a postal box and all loose. It was a Christmas gift for some one.

We liked how it covers and fills in scratchs and swirls on our black car and leaves it shiny like glass. It’s multi level Jet Black system is for black cars only. The cleaner wax removes impurities in the paint surface itself.

The polish is actually black so it gets in the scratches to fill them and make them virtually disappear. The detail spray leaves the paint with a mirror finish. Highly recommend trying it but you may have to hurry seems it’s being discontinued already.

I’m dumbfounded by anyone who is giving this product a low rating. I’ve used this kit twice a year for at least 10 years on a 2009 V6 Honda Accord and the finish and depth of black is still outstanding! I always get compliments on how great my black car looks for its age, and I agree.

I attribute the longevity of the stellar deep black look to using this wax once in the spring and once in the fall every year. Water just beads right off for months. All the Turtle Wax “Jet Black” products kick a**.

Zero complaints. I’m happy Turtle Wax made a specialty product like this for us black vehicle owners. I wouldn’t use anything else and it’s proven it’s worth for a decade.

I started using this kit in 2015 and it’s the only wax I use now on my second car. It takes some work but this kit along with their black polish leaves your car looking better than new. I use Maguires for everything else.

But this is formulated for black cars. Be warned though. wear latex gloves it will turn your hands and towel black.

I’ve used numerous Meguiars waxes throughout the years and I think this is their best wax for someone who wants to keep their car looking good without spending all day and piles of $$. It is definitely a better product than their regular cleaner wax.

It removed water spots and light swirl marks on both of my cars. Truthfully the regular cleaner wax in the maroon bottle is obsolete to me compared to this new 3-in-1 wax. Hopefully the protection lasts longer than the maroon bottle too!.

This stuff is exceptional. Makes dark car’s paint look great. I’ve only applied by hand to three different cars so far and it applies easily with the sponge supplied and wipes off easy with a microfiber towel.

It takes away water spots, fine swirls and some scratches. After you’ve wiped it off it will leave an incredible depth to the paint. I’m sure you could Witness outstanding results if you used some kind of polishing equipment but by hand it looks just as good.

For being a simple 3 in 1 wax, I think it is a great product.

Just another wax product. Does not clear up mild surface issues as advertised. Nice wax finish but many other wax products give basically the same result. Not impressed with product performance for a superior result.

You only get #3 shine out of the 1,2,3 steps.

Purchased as a gift on-line for family member. Received item with damaged spray container of Detailer. Contents leaked inside the box; quite a mess. Box containing all items fell apart; cloth soaked with Detailer.

Wiped other items; dumped cloth and Detailer into the trash. Transferred other items to a gift bag. Got the run-around when Walmart contacted.

my husband loves the brand. I was skeptical but now convinced. great product. easy to order and came to the house in great condition. our jeeps look clean and show quality now! I would recommend Meguiar’s for sure! Each bottle in the box does exactly what it says.

I am very happy with the Meguiar’s complete line. I see that it is now NOT available for shipping. This is a good decision. One of my bottles was cracked and leaked all over that box, as well as the other box.

I ordered two as I have twins (those who have twins understand that you still buy everything in twos, even when they are 20). I am hoping my local Walmart will allow me to just swap out the broken bottle.

Purchased this a week ago and allowing for bad weather, have just found the time to use it. I washed my car – which has metallic paintwork – as usual and followed the instructions on the Auto Glym Rapid Aqua Wax dispenser.

This is exactly as it is described, just a couple of sprays on a still wet panel. Using the two cloths provided wipe over the panel with one cloth, which soaks up any remaining water as the wax puts a coating on the panel.

You don’t need to use ‘elbow grease’ as you buff up the panel with the second cloth for a great shine. From start to finish it took me about 40 minutes to wash and wax my car and when I’d finished it looked like it had just come out of a show room.

Summing up, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to save time cleaning and waxing their car but, wants great results. You can use it on lamps and glass as well as paintwork and it doesn’t leave any white flakes/residue as can sometimes be the case with traditional wax creams.

Car waxing made easy! This product is simple and quick to use as it can be applied to wet surfaces and also does not leave a residue on black plastic parts. After washing the car simply rinse with clean water and get to work with this spray and the supplied microfibre cloth for a perfect, spot-free shine in no time! Works well on paintwork and previously cleaned wheels and most trim, but is not a replacement for black plastic trim polish or glass cleaner, although it doesn’t leave marks of residue on these surfaces.

Used over time there is some build up but if used sparingly – one of two quick sprays per panel is recommended – this is not noticeable. The beading effect wears off quite quickly too, so I don’t think this product adds that much wax to the car’s paintwork, but used regularly it’s a lot better than just washing and drying off.

Ever slaved over that showroom shine? Get it in an instant with Autoglym Aqua wax. I always used standard waxes to protect my cars paintwork but this takes all the elbow grease out of getting great protection and a gleaming finish.

Half the time, half the effort, maximum impact. The water beads on the bonnet in the rain say it all. You’d be a fool not to give it a go.

I extremely pleased when I received this car care kit. This kit came with several products. It included Armor All original protectant, glass wipes, wash & wax, and tire foam. I’ve been doing a lot of work on my truck lately and I couldn’t wait to get done and get it all cleaned up.

The spray protectant worked great on my dash and inside paneling. It added so much shine and cleaned all the dust off. The glass wipes worked perfectly. They didnt leave any streaks and didnt damage my tinted windows.

I just put new rims on my truck. I sprayed the tire foam on my tires and let it dry about 5-10 minutes. I didnt have to scrub or wipe the tires. They came out looking brand new and shiny after the foam dried.

The last product I used was the wash & wax. It left my truck so shiny and revealed my paint jobs radiant color. This is definitely some of the best car care products I’ve used. I cant wait to wash my truck again.

Everyone thinks I went and got my truck detailed but it was only the results of the great products in my car care kit.

The cleaner for inside the car worked great same with the wash/wax. However the glass wipes didn’t work at all they made huge smears and left fuzz behind now I have to figure out how to get them clean.

The tire foam sucks too it just made the tires look even more faded then they were before I do not recommend this set just use a different brand.

I absolutely love this entire bundle and gift set it has absolutely everything I need to detail my car and I’m telling you my car looks amazing and smells so good and I’m a smoker so using the glass wipes was perfect and something I’m leaving in my car at all times so I can quickly clean the inside of my windows I love love love the window wipes! I have been detailing cars for 25 years now and came across hundreds of waxes and polishes. Used very expensive and cheap ones, testing loads too. I found this item on ebay around 7-8 years ago and bought it from Johnny Woods and never looked back.

Fantastic product and at around 22 a bargain. Some of the waxes I used in the past would take forever put on and ages to get off and not leave a very good shine or finish. When rained or water tested not very good on the beeding too, but after using Harly’s, test it with a glass of water or if it rains you will see the beeding and water flying off.

I have spent a lot of money on expensive products and still have loads in my garage, but I will stick with Harley. When applying do not use a lot as then it does get difficult to get off. It’s a easy on, easy off wax.

Use proper microfibre cloths too take the wax off and applicator pad to apply the wax which is supplied with the product. Always wash and clean the paint work properly too and dry the car using a microfibre towel.

I do clay bar my cars too if the paint work is rough and needs a polish too. Then finish off with the Harley Wax and can use to two coats if using first time. You will also notice the paintwork smells really nice too after using the product.

Will last months beforeusing again, depends on how much you drive the car and weather conditions too. Check out the thousands of 5 star reviews if you don’t believe me.

I have always been slightly OTT when it come to keeping my cars in mint condition and have a shelf full of waxes and polishes. At the beginning of the year I decided to seek advice from the Detailing World forum and tried a ceramic coating for the first time.

I was initially pleased with the water beading etc, but the shine wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. A few months later I then tried even more expensive ceramic; the shine didn’t really improve, although I am sure it was probably doing a good job of protecting the paint.

I still wasn’t getting the results I had seen on other peoples cars. A friend in the club told me about Harly Wax and loaned me his tin. He never got it back! My R8 looks better than new! Harly is so easy to use, and the shine is amazing – it’s almost addictive.

It goes over the top of ceramic coatings without any trouble at all. I can’t recommend this stuff enough. I’ll be back for more.

Ive just received my second tin of Harley wax. Its definitely the best wax Ive ever used in nearly 50 years of car cleaning. Easy to apply and buff off with amazing results. Paint really pops in the sun and the water beading is fantastic.

Apparently I don’t know how to wash my car. I purchased this kit and a ton of other supplies in the hopes of being able to washy car at home. It seemed easy enough, but boy was I wrong. My car had never looked so smeared or awful ever.

The result was so bad, it was comical. At the end of the process, my car looked cleaned enough, but after it dried, I could’ve sworn a bunch of kids had come by and washed it with dirty water, instead of me using these products.

Everything in this box is well worth the money! I usually buy the stuff separately but I happen to see this box and grabbed it! I definitely recommend this to anyone that washes their car at home!

This product is great. And very easy to use. Took me about 15 minutes and I had a mirror glass finish on my car. I live in Mexico where there are a lot of dirt roads. After applying this wax, all I have to do now is use a hand duster and my car is back to a beautiful shinny car.

This product will pay for it self, with the money I no longer have to spend on car washes. Also I recommend buying from these people. I had a shipping problem and they were very professional and handled it very quickly.

This is a quality product. It is rated 5 stars! I was able to purchase it once before. However I give this a star, just one, because for some strange reason the hybrid wax does not get shipped to Hawaii! No where in the description it states this! Very frustrating to find out later that my purchase got canceled!.

Awesome wax product. I use it on numerous items besides my vehicles. I recently bought an outside plastic storage shed, and before I assembled it, I coated every piece with this wax. After assembled in my backyard, the rain beads right off of it !.

Not my first choice or reason for even going in the store but when I saw all that was included I felt why not? I like to try and keep at least my cars clean, windows clear and the inside germ free so again, why not.
