20 Best Cardio For Cutting (2022 Updated)

Bought this bike to incorporate into my at home exercise. It was easy to assemble, and everything moves smoothly. The seat was mildly uncomfortable so I replaced it and added a gel cushion. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now, and use it almost daily.

I’m glad I made the purchase and would easily recommend this to friends and associates looking to amp up at home cardio.

Ordered ths Marcy training cycle after looking at many in this price range for many months and reading many reviews. Recd the package intact with no problems. Assembly was no problem. Have only had this cycle for 2 weeks so do not know if it will have problems in the future.

But so far our family of four adults-3males-1female uses it daily. The bike is in our garage. It runs smooth, seat is okay. not terribly uncomfortable, cycle does not wobble and it is easy to move out of the way (has two small wheels in front) into a corner at the end of the day when its time to move our vehicles into the garage.

Like I said, there are 4 adults who use this cycle and we have no complaints so far. We are all very pleased. We are all different heights, weights and sizes. My wife wanted me to mention she is 5’5 and overweight.

her words 😉 and loves it and has no problems using it. The cycle can be changed to meet everyones physique before use very easily. One of the peddles did come loose but I tightened it and it seems to be fine for now.

I am beyond pleased!! I just turned 43, have been working out & been in sports/dance since high school, & this little guy really exceeded my expectations, honestly. I just used it for the first time this morning for a good 47 minute workout, and it did NOT disappoint! The resistance, even at levels 2-3 are a decent challenge, so if you’re worried about whether or not you’re going to get a good cardio/full body workout out of this machine-please don’t.

I absolutely mustered up a great sweat!! I just moved to a small home in West Virginia from Chicago and really needed something to accommodate my living arrangements that I could count on at the same time.

I’m just overjoyed that I happened to stumble upon this company! Assembly was a breeze, and I love that I can wheel this machine easily from room to room! If you’re on the fence about purchasing this-please go for it! Smooth, EXTREMELY QUIET (the husband slept like a baby in just the next room), and gives a good workout.

I was concerned about making this purchase because I have had (two) prior faulty machines (not from Sunny) so I reached out with my concerns and heard back from a rep immediately. I was convinced based on the information provided that Sunny was a reputable company that stands behind its products and would make sure to make good on any faulty/damaged equipment.

Welp, I received the machine on 2/4/22, assembled it on 2/5/22 only to find the front stabilizer defective and unable to be secured to the machine, rendering it unsafe and unusable. I submitted a ticket with supporting pictures on 2/5 and have not heard a word back.

It’s been over a week and the machine is sitting unused, and there’s been zero resolution. What is frustrating is it only took minutes to get a response when inquiring to make the purchase but now that I have the machine and there’s an issue, I have not heard back.

Any company that will promote their products, tell you they stand behind them, then not even acknowledge when there’s an issue is not a company to make a purchase from.

The item arrived in a beat up box and one little plastic cover was broken. From the get go the left foot pedal slid off the railing. After contacting Sunny the made me send videos of the problem which I did, then sent video back with a “ fix” that didn’t work.

Then they sent me a new crank with a video explaining how to replace it. Never could get old crank out due to it probably being in there wonky in the first place, don’t know. When I contacted them again they wanted me to start all over and send another video of not being able to fix the crank, ignoring my request to to send me a partial refund or a new machine.

So I said I was done. I can use the machine as long as I stand on the outside of the left foot pedal. I like the machine itself but never got satisfaction with these issues from Sunny.

This is the very first workout I ever purchased. Jillian Michaels was a huge superstar in the fitness world and I took the plunge, quite blindly mind you. There were, I believe, three workouts to choose from, so I started “small” and went with the least intimidating, the very first option.

Within 5 minutes, I was out of breath and wanted to give up, Jillian yelled at me from the tv that “bigger people than me can do 20 jumping jacks, DON’T STOP NOW”, ugh, okay fine, if 200lb people can do it, surely my flabby self can do a few more.

It went like that the entire 30-45 minutes, she yells at me and I cuss at her and push through it. Girl, when I tell you at the end of that video I was dead, I was dead on the floor, right in my living room.

My legs were jello, my arms were noodles and my “core” trembled when I tried to pull myself up. I was sore for days, but kept going back for more. The workouts aren’t complicated, you don’t’ need equipment to do them and you don’t have to go to the gym where people can see my struggling, out of breath, red in the face self trying to lose some lbs.

I still do this tape from time to time and it still kills me every single workout.

The workouts on 30 Day Shred are easier than Ripped in 30 and 6 Week Six-Pack. This just gives me alternate workouts for the days I feel like switching up my routine. The program is dated but still offers a great workout.

Not counting the warm-ups, the routines can be completed in twenty minutes. The three sessions of the 3-2-1 interval system not only get the heart rate up but also help break up the routine. The DVD does not allow you to skip the intro to get straight to the workouts, so waiting several minutes for that to pass each time the DVD is started gets rather annoying.

If you want a more challenging workout, I would recommend Ripped in 30 or 6 Week Six-Pack. 30 Day Shred is a better choice for beginners.

I really like Jillian Michaels and appreciate her at home workouts. During the times in my life where I’ve wanted to work out at home (generally after having a baby) it’s nice to have the option of something effective that I can do in tandem with watching the baby.

I find her workouts easy to follow and effective as well. She is motivating and enjoyable to watch. I dont find her “annoying” like other workout gurus. 30 day shred is always on my short list for an at-home workout routine.

A must have for any bike enthusiast with a limited amount out workout space. It is very high quality lightweight, sturdy material with a comfortable seat. Folds up and down with a simple clip and can be rolled into place.

It is self propelled so no motor to worry about breaking and you can adjust the tension of the belt with a simple turn of the dial. A simple digital screen keeps track of your time, speed, distance, calories and the overall odometer of the machine.

It is quiet so you can watch tv or even read while you workout without being distracted by noise. Fore those who want to enjoy the benefits of cycling when the weather doesn’t permit, this is a great alternative.

I bought this bike for my husband, we have a weight room upstairs, and we just got a new elliptical, and rower, but no bike, so I saw this one on sale and couldn’t pass up the deal. well it’s actually an amazing purchase I made, we LOVE IT! It’s perfect for what we want it for.

Easy to set up. In all fairness, my husband set it up. I watched. It’s relatively simple, easy to adjust. I’m short, the rest of my family isn’t.

The machine is great but the packaging was terrible. Soooo much unrecyclable styrofoam and plastic waste. That’s unnecessary with the many options available now. I wouldn’t buy another Sunny product at this point because of the massive amount of plastic packaging.

I’ve read so many reviews about this and since most were positive, I took the chances given the price. We’ve had this machine for SEVERAL months now and use it 2x every day. The issues other mention in their reviews (sound, not smooth, etc.

) Is from NOT GREASING IT. Just like other equipment, it must be greased frequently. As long as you do this- it is a fantastic machine and you really can’t beat the price.

I love this machine. Its design is beautiful and it gives you a good workout. It is also easy to move because of the wheels. _x000D_ _x000D_ However, I encountered two problems. One is that it wasn’t easy to setup.

It took us some time figuring out how to set it up from the manual. I highly suggest to make a detailed video on how to set-up. _x000D_ The second problem is there is a little clunking when I move faster.

Its really little. I noticed it just because I am very sensitive to noise. I only hear it when I am on the machine. When someone else uses it, I don’t hear it. _x000D_ _x000D_ It is still a great machine and I recommend it.

During the pandemic, fitness equipment has been very scarce to come across. I was happy to be able to find this elliptical from Schwinn. While it might not have all the bells and whistles you may be used to from a commercial gym (and you shouldn’t expect that at this price point), it’s a great home solution.

Setup was very easy and straightforward. I had everything up and running in about 45 minutes and this includes separating all the parts out to make sure everything was there. Everything is labeled nicely to help you know what goes where.

Using it was surprising. It feels very solid and durable while also being fairly quiet in use. Most home equipment I’ve seen below the $1k range tend to be a little squeaky, but I don’t get that from Schwinn.

Being able to adjust incline (has to be done manually before you step on however) and enough resistance levels to very quickly feel the difficulty increase. Being able to connect your phone/tablet to the AUX port and use the built in speakers to play movies, music, podcasts out of is great.

A water bottle holder is also included as well as two digital displays in the event your phone or tablet obstructs your view from the first screen in the tray. two inner handles have HR sensors on them.

They seem to be about as accurate as any other grip sensor like this (only a chest monitor delivers the best accuracy in my opinion). One negative to the inner handles is that I feel your arms are close to the outer, moving handles grips.

I found myself needing to make sure I kept my elbows tucked to make sure I didn’t get rubbed by the outer handles. I have broader shoulders, so this could be a factor in that as well. Another thing I have found to be inaccurate is the calorie counter.

This appears to be a pretty normal complain about the 430 around the internet as well. While cardio equipment is never 100% accurate, you usually get close enough. For example, at my normal gym, an intense 30 minute session on a more professional Cybex machine might say I’ve burned 500+ calories.

The Schwinn 430, with the same intensity, might say I’ve managed a little over 200. While those two models are very different in all ways but form and function, I know how my body feels after my workouts, so having the same feeling and seeing less caloric burn could be a let down for some people not understanding this inaccuracy.

Overall, this a great elliptical for home use. Whether you need something because going into your commercial gym isn’t possible (especially during COVID, but missing the gym happened before this too) or you just want to make a life change, but prefer to do so away from others, this is definitely worth a look.

This elliptical is extremely solid. I had previously purchased a cheap elliptical – and I got what I paid for in a flimsy machine that rocked as I used it. This one is very stable, does not shake at all in use, and is very quiet.

Absolutely no issues with the overall ruggedness – top notch! Additionally, setup was actually very straight-forward. The only two issues are: (1) the calculation of mileage and calories is extremely inaccurate (this is not that important to me, so not really much of an issue), and (2) I find this elliptical, even at its lowest resistance setting, actually too challenging.

I purchased this machine last week. Assembling instructions and process were straightforward and easy. However since I’m not an handy man I took 3 hours to fix this. Once built this machine is a beast.

Heavy and sturdy that gives you confidence stepping up on the pedals. I heard a squeaky noise when using and just adjusted the nuts and bolts at that specific spot and the noise stopped and it was smooth thereafter.

So guys if you worry about noise then check the spot and tighten or losen it a bit and it stops. So far used it 2 days and felt good. Definitely would recommend to anyone. I hope this machine would do justice for a longer time.

I own the model of this mini stepper that does not have a digital readout. I bought this for about $70 US including shipping about one year ago. I use it at least 5 days per week and keep it on a plastic runner that protects my carpeting from the oil you must use on the bolts from time to time if it starts squeaking.

This is somewhat heavy and sturdy. Not rated for hundreds of pounds, but it seems like it’s very sturdy. I only use it at a moderate pace for up to 30 minutes at a time. I think this offers a lot of value for the price, and it’s portable.

When I said heavy, that doesn’t mean I can’t pick it up and move it to another room with ease. I just mean, it stays on the ground, and is heavy enough to be stable. I do not use the resistance bands that came with the machine.

They didn’t look super strong to me.

Read people. I realized that majority of the negative reviews come from people that don’t read. There is a manual that tells you everything. There are three steps before using it. There are also maintenance and adjustments instructions.

People don’t do the maintenance and be upset at the seller when their mini stepper breaks. You have to lubricant it when it begins to squeak. They also put a hard to miss tag telling people to adjust the cord.

Anyways, great exercise equipment. One of my favorite. Simple steps. Great price. Stepper machines really work for my weight loss and helps tone my legs. I’ll update my review if any issues occur in the futures.

Okay, but… anyone with balance issues should use with caution. Currently I am using this as part of my hourly get up and move routine. For that, this is great. Unfortunately with my stability concerns anything longer than 5 minutes at a time is challenging / frustrating.

It’s a nice small piece of equipment, operates smoothly once you get the hang of it and definitely gets the heart rate up.

Check BBB before buying a Sunny produce! My bike was easy enough for my son to put together for me with help from info. sent with it plus the online video. I was very happy with the bike until it started making a grinding noise the second week.

As the first month of use went by, the noise got worse and bike started leaving a black powder substance on floor under left foot pedal. Customer service was quick to respond at first, but now they won’t answer my calls (I think they’ve blocked my number).

They emailed me day 1 requesting video of problem and serial #. I made the video that day but struggled to shorten it enough to send. I finally sent it and serial # the next day but cannot get a response as to whether they received it and are working on my case.

Even though their website ratings are 4. 5 stars, BBB ratings have them at 1. 5 because of similar issues to mine. Sad to say I may have to file a complaint with BBB. That seems to get their attention.

I am a physical therapist and after watching the video and reading the reviews I purchased the stationary cross trainer for my home. It was actually fairly easy to assemble but that’s the last good thing about it.

It was very flimsy and not a smooth ride. The arm pedals are very hard to start and not smooth. After using for 2 hours the bike developed a annoying noise as if it needed wd40 or some kind of lubricant.

I will have to try to take apart the pedal area and see if I can stop the noise. Very frustrating for a new machine. Do not buy this!.

I guess I got a lemon! I only have 60 miles on it and it has been making a grinding noise and discharging a gun powder like substance. I contacted customer service by email. It took a few days to hear back from anyone.

When I finally did, I was told to remove the pedals and then split the covers with a Philips screwdriver. Once inside, they might can spot physical damage that will lead them in the right direction of repair.

I am to send pictures and video. Now. It was difficult enough to put the thing together and now this? The sad part is I really like the bike. Not sure how I’m going to proceed.

I am a 200 lb man doing nothing crazy with the bike, just a normal ride, and the cheap, non-steel pedal bolt snapped mid ride, causing my shin to slam into the crank arm. Could have seriously injured myself.

Not only will they not cover it under the warranty (apparently the pedal is not part of the bike, but a part and accessory) but I cannot even purchase a replacement because it is backordered. They will not take one from a complete bike and make my defective bike whole.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I would upload a picture of the defective pedal but it isn’t letting me.

I bought this bike because someone on Twitter recommended it as a super sturdy, super affordable alternative to a Peloton. It has not disappointed. This is a bare bones bike- no lcd screen, no device mount.

What it does have is that 49-pound flywheel, which gives a better “road feel” or whatever, and it has a water bottle cage, which is useful. The bike itself looks sleek, it is compact (only a 4’x 2’ footprint), and with no clunky accessories it looks minimalistic and uncluttered.

To make the bike function as a Peloton alternative I just added a phone mount and a Bluetooth cadence sensor, and it works really well. The bike offers a smooth ride, it’s quiet, it’s highly adjustable, and it doesn’t take up much space in my house.

My two minor complaints are that I can’t ever get the seat tightened enough (maybe -probably- my fault), and, I’m unable to find a hand weight rack accessory to buy for this bike; it’s the last mod I want to make and so far only Etsy sellers seem to have any (and even those are sold out).

So, Sunny, can I get a hand weight rack for this thing? That’d be great. Otherwise, I love the bike and use it almost every day.

The engineering of the sliding chair is awful. First, the regulating stem was stuck and only released after applying careful strong pressure that caused it to finally release. It still it has poor movement.

Secondly, the backrest bracket is only held onto the slip tube by four small screws. While biking, the plate rocks causing the seat to be be very unstable, no matter how tight the M8/16L screws are tightened.

The seat is much too hard to allow for rides of more than 10 minutes. For a bike advertised for rider weights of up to 300lbs, your math is way off. I only weigh 250 lbs and it is a horrible riding experience.

Also the cardio handle is pointless. It only reads 72 and seems stuck on it. The pedal straps are way to short and I had to remove them and ride the bike without them. Finally, the pedal cranks are always a hazard of hitting your shoe while riding due to the gap not being wide enough.

I emailed you three times about these problems and no replies. Your return policy is impossible. Shipping from here in VA back to California is cost prohibitive. It is really a shame that I got stuck with this product, the Evo-Fit cardio recumbent bike model SF-RB4954 should be restricted to weights of no more than 200lbs.

I should have purchased through Amazon Prime. But your lure of save close to $200 to go direct was a great error in my judgement or you would had this bike returned. I will make sure my social media footprint about the garbage your sold me is posted where ever I can.

Plus I am writing a formal complaint to FaceBook where your ad had me decide to order, and goolge. All they have to do is read your return policy to figure out you are simply crooks. You might be a business in California but you are selling bikes coming directly China, without buyer recourse to return.

I bought this bike with the assumption that “24 levels” of resistance would be sufficient. I am very out of shape, and not what anybody would consider an athlete. I got this bike because I have difficulty walking long distances, in fact.

Despite this, I find the resistance levels are not at all sufficient. There is very little difference between the levels, or indeed between the lowest and highest levels. Don’t be fooled by the 30 day “guarantee” – I blame myself for not reading it more carefully.

It is no guarantee at all – I received the bike, assembled it, and it does not function as I expected. This does not fall under the guarantee, which is really just the unopened item return policy. It’s not a “try it in your home” guarantee.

A cationary tale – be very careful buying exercise equipment you can’t test first. I fell for the trap.

As a retired nuclear mechanic/engineer I highly approve your Recumbent Bike. Firstly, the Quality is A1 along with excellent step by step assembly instructions. I especially like the exploded views as do All mechanics.

My wife just had a total knee done and has already shown remarkable progress after just two weeks. She loves the bike which is heavy enough so that it will not move during use. All the heavy duty parts fit together perfectly.

Your company has built an excellent product.

First thing is that the assembly was not easy. I live alone and there’s one step which requires 2 people to attach the tension cable. The piece to attach it to was put on too low and it required adjusting and I had to call a friend over to help me troubleshoot.

I’m grateful that we finally got it together but it was very frustrating. About the ride, the seated position glides smoothly and with the exception of my crotch going numb on the seat after 10 minutes it works as expected.

The standing position is a big disappointment. Every time you pedal down towards the floor you arrive with a thud. So the ride is like thud, thud, thud. Nothing like the smooth elliptical ride from the gym machines.

If I had had the chance to test it beforehand, I would not have purchased this equipment because of that, but what’s done is done, it’s not going back now. I do like the look and the size of the equipment though, only wish it was a smoother ride.

The cardio was difficult to put together. When was all done, there was a thumping noise. I was required to send photos and video. We had to tear the housing apart, which was fun! The belt was complete misaligned so we had to fix that, put it all together and still the thump! It urns out the foot pad is hitting the petal arm because it is not manufactured right.

Also the tension at its lowest level is impossible to pedal as a bike. I backed off internal tension, but still to tight to pedal. The company has been absolutely NO help! All I have gotten is being put off.

NEVER will I purchase any thing else from them! Thank goodness my husband does not hate me for this debacle.

I like it but there are a few things I wish I had known before purchase. It’s by no means an easy assembly. The seat does not adjust far enough forward in order for me or my husband to use the arm handles without compromising our back safety.

We do move it forward but can’t lock it in. The lowest setting still has tension which surprised me thinking about people just starting out and shouldn’t be discouraged. The quality of the machine is good and I will hope that will continue.

It does provide a good workout but the beginner will need to be careful especially about their body position.

Been using this products for consistent weight management & great workouts. Give me awesome energy without jitters or downward crashes. I take 1 scoop a few minutes before my early morning workout and can power through a 2 hour workout with a ton of energy.

Then I’m off to work with energy that last throughout the day and into the evening. Since I eat clean-ish, and stay somewhat consistent with my workouts, I see how it helps me stay lean, not put on too much weight when I overeat, and I’m more toned.

I wish they would go on sale more often!.

This product is great. Good overall flavor (I usually mix it with the low-sugar Gatorade) and gives great energy. I drink it before workouts and sometimes in the afternoon at work for a little pick-me-up.

It does not make me feel shaky or jittery at all, which has been a problem with similar products in the past. I also have the bomb pop flavor that is great as well.

This is an excellent bike. It does everything the more expensive Nordic Tracks do, but at half the cost. All you need to do is paid an ipad to the bike and download the Ifit app. Putting the bike takes about an hour, but the instructions are clear.

It is also worth sharing that this bike is quiet! You will have no trouble peddling and watching TV at the same time. 100% would buy again. It is a very solid, well performing bike, for a reasonable price.

Average bike for the price. The fan is loud and sounds like it’s going to stop working at any minute. The plastic over the grill of the fan is very flimsy. The max resistance is not very difficult. Very basic functions on the screen.

The pedals aren’t wide enough. I have slightly above average feet size and I can’t wear running shoes as they don’t fit. Having to wear things instead.

The PF21 bike is perfect for people of our age. Easy to use and being able to adjust the speed you require is great. The bike also gives you more information if wanted. The team members at Rebel were extremely helpful and had a good knowledge of the product.

Would have no hesitation in recommending the Shepparton Rebel store to our friends.

Set up for my ProForm bike was straightforward and clear. Tools and parts were clearly marked. The ride is solid and smooth and it’s light enough that I can move it around my townhouse with the wheels even on various surfaces.

I love that there’s hundreds of classes and destinations on the iFit app (which was free for the first month!) I am seriously building a bucket list from my rides in different places and am enjoying the high intensity studio spin classes.

I really wanted to be able to spin in the comfort of my own home without worrying about other people not wearing masks at the gym etc – and this has worked out perfect. I had to call customer service about an issue I was having when I set my annual iFit membership up – and they resolved the matter for me quickly while I was on the phone.

I received this bike at a reduced price in exchange for my honest opinion which I’m leaving now that I’ve been using the bike for a while. I highly recommend this bike … for the price you can’t beat the quality.

My ProForm bike has greatly exceeded my expectations. First of all, the shipping was extremely fast. Fed ex beat the outer packaging up so much but I called customer service right away when I got home and they told me that they would absolutely send a replacement if the bike was damaged.

They asked me to unpack the bike and get back to them. To my surprise – the bike was packed so we’ll there wasn’t a dent anywhere! Amazing! The assembly went smoothly thanks to the clear instructions that were provided, it took less than 1 hour.

The product is definitely well-built and of high quality especially for the price point. There are several adjustments to customize it to your liking. The handlebars are perfectly positioned regardless of whether you are sitting or standing.

The pedals are made of metal and have straps so your feet stay secure. The tablet/phone holder is a plus and holds my devices securely. This bike far surpassed my expectations. I did receive a discount for the bike in exchange for my honest review which I am leaving now since I’ve been using the bike for awhile.

I am really enjoying the iFit app (it came with a free 30 day trial and I knew immediately I’d be purchasing the annual membership. ) There are hundreds of classes and scenic rides. I like the classes, but I am really enjoying the scenic rides the most! I find that I am more motivated and have a lot more energy since I’ve been riding this bike.

If you’re deciding between the Cubii Go and JR2, choose the Go unless you’re very tight on space. I was very torn between the Cubii Go and the JR2. I ultimately went with the JR2 because it is a bit smaller and fits better with my desk.

However, if space had not been an issue, I would have gone with the Cubii Go because of the drastically better display and convenient handle. The display is much larger and easier to read on the Cubii Go, and most importantly it has 5 digits for the stride count, as opposed to 4 on the JR2.

This is important if you plan to pedal for a long time, like over the course of a work day as I do. With only four digits on the JR2 I have to log my strides and reset the machine several times a day.

One other thing to note is that the Cubii Go pedals are attached inside a metal track, whereas the Cubii JR2 has wheels that roll along a base and aren’t attached. I imagine the Cubii JR2 will be easier to clean pet hair or dirt from because of this.

As for noise, I didn’t really notice that one was quieter than the other. They both do make some noise but it’s not loud. It’s a low whooshing noise that your coworker sharing a cubicle will be able to hear, but hopefully it’s not loud enough to annoy them.

I’m working from home at this point so I can’t say just yet how it will go over with my coworkers.

My husband bought this treadmill and as a manufacturing employee for 15 years (and my husband a Mechanical and Repair Manager) of an ATM Company, we both are asking ourselves if this company even has a Quality Department.

Packing was excellent, and the quality and assembly of the product of the treadmill itself is well made and easy enough to assemble, however the plastic control panel is horrible quality for assembly per molding of the plastic.

The screws for the bar in front absolutely will not snap together no matter how you loosely you tighten the screws in the back. Turns out the screws included for the front plastic bar is not near long enough.

Either that or the inside top 4 bosses does not meet up with the inside bottom bosses. This issue also causes the plastic arm pieces not to rest correctly. Another issue is the bottom screw holes on the metal arm rails, that the plastic bottom arm rail cover screw to, are not tapped out so now we have to go buy a tap so the screws will screw in.

I had read before purchasing that you do not need a subscription to activate the treadmill, however that little trick is hidden from the purchaser. To run the treadmill in manual mode you have to press the blue IFIT button on the top right on the control panel 15 seconds then FINALLY you can use the treadmill in manual mode.

I do understand wanting to sell the service but it is quite deceptive to not include that instruction in the manual. After all, the customer DID spend over $600 on the physical product and more than deserves to have clear written instructions on how to make their treadmill work.

There are plenty of die hard Apple-Heads globally who I’m quite sure the ifit service is more than financially supported. Much, much appreciation to the person a few reviews before me that gave instruction as to how to run in manual mode.

I would say that I wouldn’t buy this again for those issues, however I would then have to add nothing beats a well made old treadmill, but those days are long gone. The treadmill and features themselves really are good.

• I know they don’t build things like they used to, but the new 5000 is extremely disappointing in fit, finish, materials, and sturdiness in comparison to our current (and quite old) ProForm we were trying to replace.

• My general recommendations after this experience would be: • Don’t purchase any large heavy exercise equipment you haven’t examined and used in-store, as logistically and financially it can be very impractical to return • Don’t buy any iFit enabled exercise equipment unless you intend to maintain one of those relatively expensive iFIT subscriptions for the life of the equipment (note this can easily cost more than the equipment over the life of that equipment).

• Consider purchasing delivery and/or assembly options for larger/heavier equipment if it needs to go up or down stairs to get to its desired location • As to the ProForm 5000 • It has no way to permanently bypass iFit so every time you want to use it you have to go through a multi step bypass process, its “50 internal programs” don’t seem to number anywhere near 50 and they are heavily interspersed with many more locked programs you have to browse through to get to the built in ones, and “manual” use still requires the bypass and is incredibly rudimentary and unattractive.

• The console is sleek an clean looking with good control layouts but constructed largely of thin and fragile feeling hard plastic, and ill-fitting components and cladding with sharp edges and gaps. The whole console is easy to shake around significantly with one finger and a water bottle in the water bottle rattles around even when walking slowly on the treadmill.

The large fan enclosure that looks like it holds two fans side by side is mostly facia with one small noisy fan in the center third. It has four speeds and generates a reasonable air flow but there is no directional adjustment and is directed at your stomach if you are of average height.

• The treadmill base is generally quiet when running but mine has a periodic grinding sound that I believe is the belt grinding on some of the plastic cladding at some point but I haven’t isolated it yet as it makes the sound only when someone is on it.

The elevation adjustment is noisy and slow and returns to 0 at the end of each exercise session. • Overall I would not recommend it to anyone given its quality and value for money and its very poor user experience without an iFIT subscription.

I searched awhile for a new treadmill and decided on the ProForm 5000. ProForm now has a 2000 which replaced the 5000 but it is virtually the same machine for the same price. I think this has a slightly larger motor but the size and capabilities are the same.

Both ProForm and Best Buy offer free shipping but I bought from BB because I wanted the delivery, installation and removal which I eventually cancelled because all they could offer was the service 6 weeks after the arrival of the treadmill.

so we painstakingly did it all ourselves. It is a very heavy piece of equipment and we were placing it on a second floor so that took 3 people. The assembly was 4 hrs and you definitely need 2 people.

The reason it took so long was that screws didn’t fit the holes that were predrilled in several places so we had to improvise. Honestly was a nightmare for us but it’s up and running. I’m impressed with the 14″ touch screen , the bluetooth speakers and the cushioned deck.

The motor is super quiet and smooth. We are not using iFit but on this machine it’s not a problem at all like the reviews I read from others. When you start the machine it gives you an option to set up an account for iFit or manual mode.

Maybe this is because it is a version before they made iFit necessary to start the programs? It does have wifi but that only works with iFit. The bluetooth works with my music apps on my phone as well as video audio but not phone audio.

I LOVE the 14″ touch screen and monitor set up. The fan is positioned lower than on my Horizon treadmill so I can actually feel it better. So far no complaints & I am truly enjoying this treadmill. It’s a solid machine, great running deck and quiet.

Perfect for home use. A side note: Best Buy’s delivery guys were awesome!!.

I debated for a long time trying to decide what type of home gym I wanted to put into my home during the COVID epidemic. I have used commercial gyms for a long time to keep in shape and to complement my running and golf habits.

I wasn’t sure if I would like the bowflex power rods vs weights but have been pleasantly suprised! First, the delivery and set up was incredibly easy and well mapped out. The parts were all clean and free of grease so I did not make a mess of the carpet.

The instructions and packaging were the best I have ever seen and believe me, I have put together a bunch of home projects for our kids, etc. The unit itself is amazing and really allows for working out any muscle group that you want.

They describe 75 exercises but really the number is unlimited if you are creative. What I like is the circuit training feel to the apparatus. You can go from quads to Lats to chest and back again in a circuit until you are done.

Just amazing. It does take time to figure out how to get it set up properly and what “weights” you want to use. I combine this with free weights and a sit up / weight bench and am very happy. I get a great workout and the power rods seem to be a little easier on the joints and tendons.

The only downside would be the crunch apparatus which I don’t care for but I don’t really like the ones in the gym either. Also the preacher curl device is a little awkward to set up and use but is still a good device.

All in all A++. I am extremely happy with the purchase and feel that it is well worth the money and is incredibly well engineered. #sweepstakes.

I purchased a TC200 Treadclimber in 2018 with an extended 5 year warranty. The equipment worked great until the motor failed after a year of use. Over the next few years, the Treadclimber required replacement of 2 more motors, 2 motor control boards, the on/off switch, rollers and treads.

All of the warranty work is contracted out to an absolutely horrible third-rate company called Go Configure. Service requests through Bowflex and their warranty contractor have taken a minimum of 2 months to complete, with the most recent taking 5 months, meaning the Treadclimber has been out of action for extended periods of time.

The motor control board failed again recently. I still had 8 months remaining on my extended warranty, but the thought of having to deal with Go Configure was more than I could bear, so I dismantled the Treadclimber and had it hauled away in the trash.

When the Treadclimber worked, it was great, but unfortunately, it was out of action for about a third of the time I owned it. It’s pretty hard to get a workout on a piece of equipment that doesn’t work! The warranty service was as bad as bad can be.

The fact that Bowflex has such an awful company do their warranty work is an indicator of how little Bowflex supports their products.

I am just about to turn 60 years old in a few days. Had I know when I was 30 the importance of exercising every day I would have, but since I didn’t give it much thought, or didn’t think I would have any issues as I grew older, (which few of us do at 30), my body requires me to do so from now on.

I have a big goal to reach, at least 100 lbs but I know I can reach it. It will take time but as you see, I rated myself as someone who rarely exercised. That was true up until the day I accepted delivery of my gym.

I couldn’t be happier than the choice I made with your company. I absolutely love it. I’m a little on the short side so my husband put on his thinking cap and made me some little risers to comfortably step onto the gym.

Even with the seat in the lowest position, my legs were still having a little trouble swinging up and over the leg lift. His fix, was perfect for me. As a result, I’ve had fun with my gym every day since I completed the setup.

I’m two months into my daily workout program. Started with only 10 lbs on each side, couldn’t do more at the time. Just moved to 40 lbs each side and am anxious and excited about continuing to move up in resistance.

I look forward each morning to working out, listening to my music and making a positive change to my mind and my body. I’ve lost 11 lbs and a few inches while gaining confidence in knowing I can do this with no one but me placing any pressure on myself to stay motivated.

although I’m finding no pressure is needed. I walk by my gym every morning to let my pups outside then come back in and start my day with it. I’m moving easier, feeling better and know tomorrow will be even better than today.

I spent about 6 weeks contemplating the different home gyms available and even made the mistake of buying one that I used twice then returned. After going back through all the options, I settled on this one and haven’t had one moments regret! Thank you “#sweepstake.

I was able to assemble it without too much trouble. But now that I’m using it, it feels cramped and uncomfortable, like I’m trying to ride a child’s bicycle standing up. I’m not a big guy. I think the problem is that the stride length for this machine is just 11 inches, well below what is comfortable for most adults.

Maybe that’s just the price of compactness, but I posit that any piece of exercise equipment that isn’t enjoyable to use risks not being used at all. Making the stride adjustable—or selling alternative parts—would go a long way toward improving the experience.

I spent hours putting together which I was expecting but when I got on it I could Barry get it to move. I checked the manual and had to remove cover off and adjust a bolt controlling the magnets. I put it back together and still so tight that a couple of minutes was all I could satay on it.

Took it back apart and adjusted as much as it would go and it’s better. The distance meter shows I’ve gone a half mile in 5 minutes and I can promise you I’m not in that kind of shape. So I’ve got up to a mile but that all I want.

Oh and the tension knobs was set on lowest setting when I put it together. Any advise would be appreciated.

This machine is fairly easy to put together; However, it is very unstable and wobbly. I use mine in my bedroom on carpet and that seems to help control that a lot more. When putting this together, one of the large black bolts on the left side is a reverse threaded bolt meaning you’ll have to screw it in to the left instead of the right.

When connecting the tension belt at the bottom, you’ll need another persons help to pull it into the required position. The tension knob is quite hard to increase the resistance on and the elliptical does feel very much like a step machine compared to a fluent and smooth walk or jog.

I didn’t pay much for this machine after a couple of discounts but aside from all of that, I’m okay with the workout I’ve been getting on it. I would recommend that if you’re looking to seriously workout and get in shape, that you consider purchasing a better quality machine.
