20 Best Cardio For Legs (2022 Updated)

I was very excited to receive this bike with its great features, and glowing reviews. Shipping was prompt, within few days of ordering and bike came almost fully assembled and well packaged, with mainly handle-bar and pedals to attach.

And that is where the excitement ended! The bike is having multiple issues from get go. There seem issues with alignment both with handle bar and pedal (right side). The bike also makes a friction sound and feel, as if the driving belt is rubbing against something or something is not aligned properly.

You can feel strong friction with an abrasive sound while pedaling. Specifically: 1. The right-side bike pedal nut does not go all the way snug leaving a gap. Left side is perfect. It makes right side feel wobbly when I bike.

2. Handlebar does not sit snug on the handlebar post. There is a big gap despite tightening the 2 provided screws as far as they can go. The handlebar is thus not stable and shakes and moves when biking.

3. The bike makes a noise when used. It is as if something is causing friction. I shared these inputs with detailed pictures and videos with Sunny customer service (seeing in some reviews that customer service seems responsive), however, despite few days gone by, I am yet to hear back from anyone from Sunny.

I am sharing this review to inform fellow fitness seekers who may be looking for a good spin bike, and how responsive Sunny is if you face issues, so that they can take an informed decision. Hope you find this helpful.

I will update this in case Sunny responds and is able to resolve my issues.

I wanted to love this bike, and I did, for three months, and now it’s a glorified paperweight and customer service hasn’t responded for more than a week. I did some comparison shopping for stationary bikes, as I was going to get knee surgery and wanted a non weightbearing, aerobic exercise option.

Ultimately, the sunny magnetic stationary bike seemed the best choice. Although the display is minimalistic, it is sufficient and less doo-dads usually means less hassle. The display still works great, but a week ago when I was pedaling a thumping sound began and it felt unstable.

I stopped, of course and figured out that the right pedal is banging against the encasing plastic. I tried jiggling it around, to no avail, it seems right. Unfortunately, I have difficulty crouching or kneeling, so I cannot investigate further or attempt to fix it.

(I 2as careful to follow assembly instructions regarding the pedals) I emailed Sunny a week ago (last week Monday, today is Tuesday and week later), providing the information they requested, as well as links to videos and have not heard back other than an automated email.

This is disappointing because I bought this brand from their online store, as I thought it was a reputable company (the amazon vendor is apparently also terrible at customer service). If I am contacted, I will update my review, although based on some other reviews, I’m not sure that will happen.

Really trying to make this bike work because it isn’t a bad bike when it is running, but it is just one problem after another. When I received it the fly wheel was cracked and a dented, and had vibration from bad bearings.

After a few rides, grease came out of the pedal bearing. Sunny sent replacement parts, and a credit for the damaged fly wheel since they did not have replacement fly wheels. I am fairly handy and have a lot of tools, so didn’t mind installing them myself, but be aware that you have to do the service yourself.

Then a few days later, a squeaking and clicking developed in the crank assembly. These issues have all developed within the first few weeks of using the bike. Sunny was prompt and courteous when I had the first set of problems, but has not responded on crank assembly issues.

Not sure if I just got a lemon, but I am getting close to replacing all of the wear parts within a few weeks of ownership. I didn’t return it after the initial issues because there really isn’t that much too these bikes, and I figured I could get it up and running, but starting to regret that decision.

I RECEIVED THE BIKE IN 3 DAYS HOWEVER, THE PLASTIC PEDAL HOUSING WAS CRACKED AND UNUSABLE. CUSTOMER SERVICE ACTED QUICKLY AND IN A WEEK I RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT OF THE MAIN PART. UNFORTUNATELY, THE PLASTIC HOUSING WAS CRACKED.

I DID SOME PATCHING OF THE CRACK AND THE ASSEMBLY WENT QUITE WELL. SO FAR THE PATCH WORKED AND THE BIKE IS WORKING WELL. I THINK THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO MAKE A STRONGER HOUSING. OVERALL, I LIKE THE FUNCTIONING OF THE PRODUCT, IT IS QUIET, EFFECTIVE AND EASY TO USE.

THE BACK SUPPORT ON RECUMBENT IS A BIT TOO LOW, SO I HAD TO PROP IT UP WITH A HARD PILLOW. I AM STILL GETTING USED TO THE BIKE SO IT IS TOO SOON TO GIVE IT 5 STAR RATING. IT THINK I WILL COME TO LIKE IT MORE AS I GET USED TO IT.

The assembly was not difficult once I ignored the assembly instructions. The obvious care and effort the manufacturer put into making the assembly instructions easy totally backfired. Example1: Outside the box contains 3-step instructions with graphics demonstrating how to remove the device from the box which I followed precisely.

Once the device was removed, the very first instruction inside reads: DO NOT REMOVE THE DEVICE FROM THE BOX UNTIL READING THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. Too late for that advice! Example 2: The assembly instructions start at number 2 with a follow-on number 2A.

There does not appear to be any step 1, causing some apprehension that you are starting the assembly missing the first step. Fear not, it all comes right in the end so just keep calm and assemble on! Instructions aside, the main reason for my 2-star rating is quality.

While I am confident this device will assist in my fitness goals (I have many, believe me) and plan to keep and use the device, it is not appropriately priced. The overall quality is more suited to a price range of $80-$100.

The pedals are the size of a child’s foot. The inside turning sprocket is not smooth and resists any change into the reverse direction for at least 3-5 rotations before smoothing out somewhat. Since the manufacturer encourages you to change direction multiple times within the recommended 25 to 45-minute workout, the sprocket resistance is distracting at best and completely annoying at worst.

Finally, as many others have written throughout the many product reviews on the web site, I have lost confidence in QVC’s myriad quality assurance promises. Yes, any product can be returned, but such returns are not free to the customer even when the reason for the return is the failure of one of the 3 QVC’s Quality Value Convenience commitments.

This device met none of the 3 commitments, sorry to say.

I bought this for my mom in hopes that it would help her rehab a terrible knee it has been 6+ years of hell. She has a history of a complicated knee fracture with subsequent replacement. The replacement resulted in an infection and she spent the better part of 3 months in a wheel chair with no knee – that is right nothing; just a sponge filled with antibiotics where her knee should be until the infection clears and a new prosthetic could be implanted.

Since then she has battled to stabilize her knee and pelvis, doing a enourmous amount of physio, exercises and chiropractics. This little machine seems to be a game changer her balance has improved and the swelling around the knee has decreased significantly.

This lady used to ride horses, walk miles, outrigger canoe and work in my shoe store – she was a busy lady. The accident took most of this away but the scoop is starting to help her walk better than she has in a long time.

Her only complaint is the gears seem a little rough at times and if the machine skips then it causes her some pain. This doesn’t happen all the time but it does happen. Even though it can be rough, the level of change in such a short period of time is well worth the odd slip here or there.

So , I’m watching Jen and Kerstin’s anniversary show last December and lo and behold , they feature the Scoop. I’m intrigued … not because it looks easy – Kerstin makes all exercise look easy, lol – but because of the purported benefits to strengthen hips and knees , which is my love language.

After being diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees a year ago, I stopped working out as it became too painful. And to make matters worse, I’m a 57 year old waitress who works in a two level restaurant and being quick on my feet is a necessary part of my skill set.

So I took a chance and ordered it. So I get it and I CAN’T DO IT ! What people have said in previous reviews , i. e. , scoots away from you , motion not smooth , pedals too small – I wear a size 12 shoe – I experienced all of these things and seriously considered sending it back.

But I was determined to persevere and I’m so happy I did. At first , I could do 30 seconds at a time – I stopped because of frustration with the scooting away – but I’m now up to 20 scoot free minutes and the motion is much smoother.

I think about my form all the time when I’m Scooping – one of the instructors on YouTube said to think of yourself as a puppet and your knees are being pulled up by strings as it is important not to push down on the pedals like a bike.

My pain is a lot less – my hips feels looser and I’m able to do a little cardio without that shooting pain in my knees- and instead of feeling like I’ve been run over by a truck when I wake up the next morning after work, I feel like I’ve been hit by a three year old on a tricycle! If you’re on the fence , or if you own this already and have given up, give it a shot.

So, to begin, I’d give this bike a 4. 5/5 if I could, but alas there isn’t a way to rate in. 5 increments and I don’t consider the small issues I have with the bike to be substantial enough to warrant docking it a full star.

But before I get into my quibbles with this bike, I’ll start with the positives. First, the overall construction of the bike is quite good. It rides a great balance between being quite sturdy without becoming too heavy so as to become difficult to maneuver or put together.

While you’re riding the bike it never feels rickety or unstable. The thing just feels incredibly tight and the act of putting it all together was quite straightforward and took me no more than thirty minutes from unboxing to final assembly.

I’d also add that this bike has a very pleasant design to it as well and is visually pleasing to the point where I’m perfectly fine having it in my apartment off to the side when not in use. A very sleek, modern design that doesn’t make you want to shove it in a closet to hide it when not riding it.

The experience of using the bike is also exactly what I would want and expect from a bike of this price point. It’s easy to adjust the seat or handles to the appropriate height and once I had softened the seat a bit it became quite comfortable to sit in for an hour or longer.

And while the display is a fairly simple, utilitarian one, it has done exactly what I need it to do in tracking distance, time, and calories burned. Now for the aforementioned quibbles. First, there is a small problem I encountered with the acorn/crown hex nuts that affix the front ground bar to the main bike frame.

Unlike the rest of the bolts and what not, using the included multitool to fasten them was almost impossible given how they’re both occupying limited space between two vertical bars. I had to use a separate tool to get them both fastened securely so that the front of the bike wouldn’t wobble constantly if I rode the bike at anything more than a casual pace.

The second, more substantial, issue I have with the bike is the included Ipad/phone holder. While it is easy to adhere to the bike, it couldn’t manage to actually hold my phone in the appropriate slot as even the fairly slim case I have the phone in made it too thick to fit.

Given I have my bike placed in front of my smart TV and use Bluetooth earbuds for music anyway, this wasn’t a huge deal but it could be tedious if you use a case and would like it affixed to the holder.

The other issue I have with the holder is that the plastic is not rounded at the edges, leaving them sharp enough that I actually sheared off some skin from my right index finger when I gripped the bottom of the handlebars and lifted them off mid-ride.

So, between those two issues with it, I chose to just discard it altogether. But, other than those little issues with it, the bike is an overall great purchase which I do not regret making in anyway.

If I cared about using the Ipad/phone holder more I might dock it down to a 4 star, but I personally have virtually zero need of it given my setup at home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a affordable, well built bike to get some cardio done at home, especially during this pandemic.

The reason I’m comparing this G3 to Pilates is because I always wanted my pilates machine to incline to give me more weight bearing results. Weight bearing helps maintain bone density, it’s really important as you get older to prevent fractures in the lower body and hips.

Plus I’m off the ground which does make for easier position changes and able to get up and down a lot easier. I enjoy the inverted (upside down) sit ups and gliding abdominal crunches that you won’t get with a Pilates machine.

The different levels of incline positions will provide many goals to master and maintain as you progress over time. Because of those different incline levels this will also replace my Abdominal Crunch machine which mean having two less pieces of exercise equipment in the room which can also be a bonus when space is an issue.

The only drawback when comparing G3 to a Pilates machine is you cannot workout both legs simultaneously for the stretch positions Pilates is known for other than that the leg exercises are similar returning the same results.

The inclined leg presses are comparable to pilates Rebounder making it a more effective workout with less risk of jarring knees and ankles. Since you’re supporting your own weight and not relying on bands for resistance, you will get your heart rate up quickly, especially the more inclined you are while maintaining your pace.

Another additional feature is an inverted stretch you can safely do before and after your workout without pulling on your ankles or knees. Check with your surgeon if you have hardware in knees or ankles, inversion is typically not recommended.

Depending on the level of inversion you may be able to tolerate. Select an incline that does not pull on your joints to the point you feel pain or tug. I recommend watching total gym videos on youtube before trying this and other positions for your safety and efficacy.

This is an amazing product. I had the 1’st gen for over 16 years and it worked amazing as well. Knowing the durability in the work out my first machine gave me I decided to buy and upgraded model. I race motocross / super cross and the Total Gum has always been a major part of my training program.

The unit is very easy to set up its user friendly and produces stellar results when a user is dedicated and committed. Just like with all exercise equipment and work out plans you get what you put into it.

The Total Gym gets you in shape and keeps you in shape when routinely used. Well worth every penny and it’s right at your house. I have seen many reviews on YouTube with individuals seeking a bodybuilder work out with this machine.

They claim in their videos that it doesn’t work very well for them. I can contest everybody that I have known that has it out of the machine can use mine has found one way or another for this machine to kick their butt and produce a solid work out.

People need to be aware that you’re not buying a Weight bench. Product shipped fast to my house, I unpackaged and assembled it within an hour. Very happy with purchase. It is use everyday by my family of 5.

Great for Seniors or anyone. I love my total gym. Work as hard or as little as you like. Stores out of the way decent enough. I leave mine up constantly in my hobby room. With a good diet program I used it to help me lose 50 lb.

Much better than other equipment I have bought and then gotten rid of in the past. Stationary bikes and treadmills stink. I have barely used the many types of exercises possible. A great way to stay active for seniors without overdoing.

This came next day from Walmart!!! Not the worst to put together, I was able to do by myself, but I did have to open the box in the driveway to carry it in piece by piece due to its weight. Love love love this machine.

Weight lifting was leaving me hurting and making my joints feel worse after work outs. Doing yoga on the floor was getting too painful. I actually feel so much better after a workout on this machine! It’s like combining resistance training with yoga in the most comfortable way possible! The rebounding feels like a better workout than walking on my treadmill was.

And there are Endless routines on YouTube. I’ve had rowing machines, treadmills, weight lifting equipment, total gyms, Y membership, this is my favorite by far! And it doesn’t hurt my back or joints and I don’t have to leave my house !.

I moved up to this new system and got on Friday evening. It took me around 2 hours to gather it without anyone else in the wake of conveying it up two stairwells. The base is the heaviest. The headings are alright anyway could be better as far as print size and simplicity of following.

I’ve been exercising for many years, and admittedly I am spoiled by excellent equipment. Having said that, when I ordered the pedal exerciser, I knew to lower my expectations. The extremely low price made buying an easy decision.

I needed some aerobic exercise to keep going during the pandemic. The device works, but not so smoothly. The clearance of my sneaker is quite close, and required keeping the sneaker pressed forward. My conclusion: good enough and met my expectations.

My living room has been converted to multi-use room, family room, study room, workout area etc. I needed my workout equipment to be compact but versatile, serving many uses, and not an eyesore. This bench is excellent! great quality, sturdy, compact, and looks great.

It has also serves as additional seating for family movie night. This offer with the tubing is fantastic and free shipping, cannot be beat anywhere. I’ve looked! I use it for step, bodypump etc, it just makes working out so much more fun.

Such a useful multifunctional piece of equipment to have for your home gym. Super sturdy and made well. There is not one thing I can complain about. Ive used it as step up and other cardio moves, for sitting weighted pieces, for tricep dips, and for elevated leg lifts.

I was trying to use a hallway sitting bench for my workouts–too wide. Made the splurge and bought this bench. So many pros: arrived safely packed; easy to set up with the risers; sturdy but lightweight to move around; incline slots are secure; nifty storage space for resistance bands and clever slots notched on both sides of the elevated back–I can use with resistance bands for great chest press routines.

Some have complained about the bench surface–I don’t find the raised textured surface to be a bother at all. The one con: it’s a tad too short. I wish it were about 2″ longer (I’m 5’5″). Otherwise, I’m so glad I invested in this well-made, sturdy bench.

I use Sportlegs regularly because it helps me go faster, longer, stronger in timed events. I’m 69 1/2 years old and my main sport is cycling. I have 2 bikes that I use. A $12K road bike and TT bike of similar value.

I’m just an amateur but I ride hard and as fast as I can just to keep up with the 24-45 year olds I ride with on their “slow” rides cruising at 22-25 MPH. It’s all I can do to draft these guys and I found Sportlegs makes a definite difference in my antique legs being able to keep up.

I still get dropped when they pickup the speed to 26-30 but overall it’s harder for them to shake the old guy off of the back than it use to be. I’ve ridden with the use of Sportlegs and without to see if it’s just my imagination and discovered it’s not just my imagination.

I have a pretty high pain threshold but my legs feel much better when I use Sportlegs and I go much further and faster with a lot less pain than without using it. I’ve been beating times from 3-6 years ago and I’m not supposed to do that because I’m elderly according to who ever makes those statistical decisions.

I’m not attributing all of my improvements to Sportlegs but my comfort level under the duress of trying to hang with a bunch of kids is much greater than without it. My bike are about as good as youcan get so I’m working on the engine more than ever and Sportlegs is a fuel additive works for me.

This is an absolutely fantastic product!! I use it in training and for my triathlon races and marathons. If taken per the recommendations, it pulls the lactate which causes muscle soreness and cramping away from the muscles and you don’t have those aches and pains during or after your event.

I always carry the capsules because they fit into dispensing tube I mount on my bike so that I can continue taking them at intervals during the 112 mile bike ride during an Ironman triathlon.

I purchased the Jump Sport 350 pro bungee rebounder after extensive research and could not be happier with the quality of this rebounder. I love how the bungee cords can be tightened to increase tension as my fitness improves and how easy it was to assemble.

This trampoline is the truth! Well built,sturdy and strong and with adjustable bungees! Having grown rather sedentary, I was looking for something that would get me out of the chair but be low impact and enjoyable.

A tall order right! Well I found it in this rebounder I did my research and knew I wanted a spring-less model which is more expensive and chose this one after comparing it to the so called top of the line models by watching videos.

Dont let the cheaper price fool anyone! This Jump Sport 250 rebounder is top of the line rebounder. It has bungee cords instead of springs just like a Bellicon, and its built to last. Although we bought an open box item, it was all there; nothing was missing.

I received the rower quickly and without any damage. My nephew helped me put it together, and it was actually fairly simple. I thought filling it with water was going to be messy, but it was not at all.

I really like that it’s made primarily of wood, and it matches the furniture in my cabin. I like to support companies that make their products in the USA. The sound of the water when you “row” is very soothing.

I’m in my mid 40s, and I have bad knees from running all the time when I was younger. This machine is a very good low impact workout.

I bought the Rower through JL. As usual good service with JL. On assembly, the sensor failed to align. I contacted water rower and they immediately understood the fault – A spacer issue, which if it’s a known problem, why dont they just remedy it? Since then, I have replaced the housing to the monitor, it’s very flimsy.

Then bought a new sensor loom. And now on to buying a replacement tank because the seals became too brittle with age and failed. The massive spares list on the water rower website says it all, Yes, ALL those items can and do break.

Compare that to the market leader, which only needs to supply and handful of spares. I bought the water rower for its looks, and it does great, but if want a long term serious fitness machine, then go for the other brand.

The rower comes in 2 boxes, and the assembly requires 2 people. There is online video showing how to assemble the rower, and I would advise to loosely attach the nuts and bolts to allow all components lined up before tightening.

The resistance is controlled by how much water you fill into the tank. The operation is reasonably quiet. After 6 month use, there is very little wear and tear, probably due to very few moving parts in a minimalist design.

The S4 monitor can be used to record training sessions and linked to computer to join a race online. However, I hardly ever use this function, as I use rower just to keep healthy rather than competition.

There is a SmartRow meter you can purchase separately to link the rower to your smart phone, if you are serious athletes. For storage, the rower can be easily stood up and put in the corner of the room.

There are wheels in the front of the rower to allow easy moving. My rower is in storage position by default, and I lay it down when I use it. The whole setting up before using and storage after exercise only take 10s.

There are a couple of water cleaning tablets included and more can be ordered. The only maintenance required is to put tablets into the water tank every 6 months. Overall, I like the design of WaterRower, simple and effective.

Bought this machine to get my blood press back in the normal range. I was in stage 1 hypertension. I didn’t feel like my diet was all that bad but wasn’t getting any exercise just because. life. Work, one kid finishing up college, the other one getting ready to go off to college I was busy.

After a very high blood pressure reading at the dentist AND physician I bought this. Got pretty strict with my diet and jumped right in to 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. After about 7 weeks my blood pressure in in the high normal range.

I went with this machine over all others because of the weight rating tells me that it is built solid. Most others were only rated around 250. We have a love/hate relationship but I will keep it up because of the results.

I really like the paceboat screen in the monitor. It challenges me and keeps me going strong. The paceboat has helped me shave off 25 second off my 500 km split times. I have over 250,000 kilometers on the machine in 7 weeks and not a single problem.
