In June of 2001 I suffered full respiratory arrest and stopped breathing for more than 4 minutes. My heart stopped and my OxSats were below 50% and heading south fast. By all accounts (per my doctors who saved my life) I was dead and I shouldn’t even be alive to tell this story, or at least I should have severe brain damage and be a vegetable from the lack of oxygen, although I do have severe cognitive impairment and my long term memories were wiped nearly clean and new (short term memory) stays with me for about two weeks and they quickly fade out.

My doctors figured out I was given an overdose of pain meds following knee replacement surgery which shut down my breathing. and this all happened at a major California university hospital. Anyway about the book: The things I saw and experienced were unbelievable.

and very frightening to say the least and I still suffer PTSD to this day. This book was recommended to me by my psychiatrist and I am trying to work my way through it. But unfortunately, as I read the book my own real life memories (yes, I remember most of what I experienced/saw while I was dead) come flooding back and I have to stop reading for a while.

I will continue a month or so later and repeat the cycle. What I have read is pretty spot with what I experienced. For someone who has not suffered a NDE and wants to learn about them, this might be a good read.

It could also help those who have had a NDE to find answers, On the other hand for those who have had a NDE it could bring back memories that are best left in the recesses of their mind.

When I ordered this book I expected it to be about a real iife collection of heaven experiences from patients of the author. Instead it’s about the author’s walk with the Lord, his experiences of supernatural answers to prayer and empowerment by the Holy Spirit.

As a Christian I did find his faith walk and encounters with God encouraging but it’s his testimony, and how God uses him to pray for patients rather than the experiences of patients who have ‘touched heaven’ Wonderful and obviously blessed his life may be, through tragic and happy times, the book merely proves that God cares about and uses anyone who will listen to Him, apply His word and believe for miracles.

The Bible says it all and is a better source of truth and life to go to. I was disappointed with this book. The author repeats himself many times and reading became somewhat boring. The title is misleading.

Everyone suffers from doubt and fear. “Touching Heaven” provides a scriptural roadmap to certainty and security that you may thoroughly achieve your purpose in this life.

The CD cover isnt the same as the vinyl version. Plus the inkjet CD disc image is in black & white. The worst part is that the CD is censored; no where in the listing did it say its censored 🙁

I love this Album. Of course its not their best work but definitely not the worst. A lot of people will tell you that Good Charlotte seems to have gone a little Pop, and you will notice some songs do sound a little pop-ish but overall: Great Album.

Iv’e been in love with this band since 2002, and I have to admit that the last cd, although a good one, wasn’t the GC I fell in love with, and back when this cd was in talks and was said to go back to their “roots”, I had doubts, but this album was perfect.

After having a heart attack this book gives a alternate view to not rushing into surgery or taking endless heart pills. Alternate view, diet oriented.

If you’re looking to fully understand the mechanisms of your body – what you put into it – and what is needed & what you should avoid then this book is your manual – Dr Wolfson clearly explains all those processes – Self education is your best doctor – ( this Dr also has video’s on Utube ).

The smoke smell was so overwhelming I haven’t been able to look at it at. Trying to air it out.

I have mild to moderate hypertension. During a recent Walmart Spark Reviewer campaign, I was intrigued by the product LFI Balance Heart – Heart Health Blood Pressure Supplement with Natural Herbs, B-Complex, Vitamin C, Folic Acid, & More.

As a Spark Reviewer member, I received this product free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. Once the item arrived, I read the information on the bottle and was surprised to learn that it was designed for patients whose blood pressure is already in the normal range.

While I wasn’t expecting a “miracle cure” for my hypertension – nothing can replace a healthy lifestyle – I was at least hoping it was designed with patients like me mind. those whose BP runs high enough to need medication, but isn’t “sky high.

” While I have not taken the supplements long enough to see if there are any major changes, I believe one could possibly receive the same results by taking the same “cocktail” of vitamins and minerals at a much more affordable price than this single $30 bottle.

I would consider trying this product over a longer period of time if it were more reasonably priced, but, in my opinion, the cost is too high. Thank you to LFI Labs and Walmart for the opportunity to try this product.

A very different way to look at the heart, the way it works, and how to keep it healthy. Dr. Cowan’s presentation of his arguments is well constructed and very well supported with historical references and years of research.

It is well laid, out and easy to read (mostly).

Easy and interesting read. This book is an absolute must read if you have ever wondered about the heart and its role in the body mind systems.

I’m in the first month and already have noticed a difference in level of pain; my cardiologist knows of this author and says positive things of him; he (mine) said OK we’ll give you six months and if a change of lifestyle (exercise) and change of diet (Dr.

Crandall’s) lowers your cholesterol count and blood pressure, excellent. I decided I don’t want to take statins so am doing what Dr. C said can take the place of drugs that do what statin does, so here goes.

This is a practical book with so much cardio info. If you read it and follow Dr. Randalls instructions your health will improve greatly!

My blood pressure has been too high so my Doctor put me on water pills. I mentioned this to my Chiropractor and he suggested Carditone and lowering my intake of sodium. After one week my blood pressure has dropped from 163 over 98 to 125 over 81.

Big difference. I feel so much better. I take one Carditone after breakfast and one after dinner. It really works!.

I was taking 15mg (1 1/2 tablets) daily Lisinopril until a friend who used to take it informed me about Carditone. She was advised by her naturopathic physician to take it instead because of little to no side effects experienced by some people taking Linisopril.

it seems to work as good as Linisopril but I have to take 2 1/2 tablets daily to keep my blood pressure in the safe zone. At first I was taking 1 in the morning and 1 at bedtime, a span of 15 hours. My blood pressure at bedtime before I took the bedtime dosage was still in the target zone.

But my blood pressure was a little high again in the morning even though the time span between the bedtime dosage and morning was only 9 hours. Not sure why this was occurring. For some unexplained reason my body needs more during the night compared to the daytime so I now take 1 in the morning when I awake and 11/2 at bedtime and everything is good now.

The only drawback is the Carditone is a 4 times more expensive ($1. 00 per day) than Lisinopril($. 27 cents per day with $8 copay prescription drug insurance). If you can get by on 1 tablet per day it will be a little less expensive.

Bottom line is it works as well as Lisinopril but you might have to take anywhere from 1 to 3 daily depending on the individual.

Doctors were switching few different medications to lower my pressure. They didn’t work well. My friend told me about Ayurvedic Carditone and it’s working!!! My pressure is perfect now. I’m still on one of the meds from dr but hopefully will get off it soon.

I prefer natural! And supplements not chemicals! It’s easy to swallow, no side any effects. Package great.

We subscribed to the South Beach Diet website for the first few months in addition to purchasing all of the cookbooks. Variety is necessary to be successful in pursuing this lifestyle. I recommend this book first and suggest the “South Beach Diet Quick & Easy Cookbook” as a companion cookbook.

This is one of MANY Wheat Belly books Ive bought to give away after I first bought one for myself. Its So Much More than the title tells. This is NOT a diet book, although you can lose a great amount of weight if you follow the advice to take all wheat products out of your life and not make meals on sugar and potatoes.

When I first read this book, I was astonished at what this current hybrid form of wheat is doing to the human body. The research is extensive and made me wonder how this hybrid wheat can be sold for human consumption.

The wheat doesnt only cause weight gain but many other aches and ailments throughout the body. Aside from losing over 50 pounds, I noticed that the rough skin on my elbows disappeared and it became smooth again.

I noticed the same thing with the heels of my feet. Theres no telling what internal benefits I received by removing wheat products from my regular diet. Do you have, or know someone that has intestinal problems? Do your older parents or your grandparents have arthritis? I strongly suggest you get this book.

There are many other issues caused by ingesting this hybrid wheat on a regular basis. Even if you dont have any complaints yourself, chances are you know someone who would greatly benefit from the findings given in this book.

Its an easy read, although it sometimes gets very technical and detailed. The author does have a good sense of humor and I actually laughed a few times, which is rare for me, but it was good because it broke the seriousness of what the book deals with.

The main reason for reading this book is to know WHY you should give up eating wheat. Someone can tell you to give it up but without knowing why, chances are you wont give up the biscuits, rye bread, whole wheat bread, pancakes, cookies, bagels, dumplings, crackers, melba toast, croutons, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, hamburger buns, ciabatta bread, ramen, and so on, and so on, and SO ON.

Thats the thing- people dont really think about how much wheat they eat because its the main ingredient in so many of their favorite foods. It might be a little tough to eliminate it from your regular rotation of meals but you CAN get used to it.

Believe me, its well worth getting this book and well worth getting rid of the wheat products in your life.

I first found out about this book while searching blogs on weight loss – and I’m so glad someone mentioned it. In two weeks I’ve lost about 5 pounds, but what is really amazing is this – For two years I’ve had pain and swelling in my knees (at times extreme shooting pain), and haven’t been able to walk more a few minutes most days, nor swim or ride a bike.

Along with this have been sleepless nights due to pain, and low energy and depression from not being able to exercise. I eliminated wheat from my diet and within 2 or 3 days I was walking just fine – with no pain – and even danced for hours one night! I will understand if you find this hard to believe – because I find it hard to believe myself – but it’s true! In the last 2 years I’ve had 3 cortisone shots in one knee, and 2 in the other knee.

An MRI showed torn meniscus in two areas of one knee (our HMO would only MRI one knee). I don’t remember ever damaging the knee or doing anything out of the ordinary – it just started swelling and hurting.

So IMO, I think this book is worth it’s weight in gold. I bought a second book and sent it to my brother who has had problems with excema. He hasn’t started the wheat-free diet yet, but I’m hopeful. Also, the book is so well-written and documented, and is very interesting reading – hardfor me to put down at night.

So yes – I highly recommend this book.

Great read. When I started having to go to the doctor for all kinds of ailments starting at age 46 (ailments described in this book to a T), I heard about this book from a nurse at the hospital and decided to read it.

Now my doctor has me scheduled for a brain MRI for the vertical eye spasms and inability to maintain my balance. I had just started to read this book and by page 50 decided to give up all bread products (thanks to 90% of all wheat in the world is no longer natural wheat—now it is genetically altered at the seed level).

By page 50 I’d learned that cells in the grey matter in my brain, unlike the cells in the rest of my body, no longer regenerate, so whatever brain damage is done will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Since I already have a hard time finding words to be able to finish my sentences both at work and in my social & family life, I’d like nothing more than to not lose any more of my intelligence thank you very much! The cumulative effects generally hit around age 48-53 so don’t wait to read this book (if you are much younger than 48) so you can curb the effects in your future by giving up bread now.

Also, there is a cookbook you can order by the same author with the same title included (“Wheat Belly Cookbook”) and one with recipes to make in 30 minutes. Basically by giving up wheat, you would shop free range meat (best, but expensive), all the produce you want, (with a healthy mix of fruits and vegetables- preferably the ones that are organic (best, but more expensive than the ones treated with fertilizers).

Always be sure to wash your fruits and vegetables thoroughly with dish soap and water then rise off all soap. I hope this review is helpful!.

I was having difficulty walking due to the pain in my right knee. After several applications of this product, I am not having any pain in my knee when walking.
