20 Best Carpet For Cats (2022 Updated)

This is the best sisal cat scratcher I’ve ever bought or seen used! Finally, a scratcher that is tall enough for adult cats to stretch out like they are supposed to and yet still so sturdy! The height is perfect for out cats to use it to get to the windows without struggle, and the top is just big enough for a cat to sit on.

What really surprised me is how my foster cat took to it- from the moment she stopped hiding she went right to this scratcher and hasn’t stopped since. Every time she is anxious or excited, she goes right to the scratcher- even if she is just excited because we came home! I really can’t imagine a better sisal post- and while all cats might not like sisal, those that do, REALLY do!.

Love the material and the color. The problem here is the fit and sizing. I ordered my usual size small, and I was not just swimming but drowning in this. It came down to my knees in a way I only want with dresses and skirts (I’m 5’6″ for reference), and the arms were boxy in a pretty unflattering way.

It was so big I had my boyfriend try it on to see if he could wear it instead (he usually wear a men’s medium in tops). Nope; way too big on him. There’s no way sizing down to an extra small would have helped, so this top’s a no-go for me.

My 4 rambunctious kittens LOVE this scratching post. My middle-age and senior cats use it occasionally as well. It has a big base so they don’t knock it over. They love sitting on the top. It’s bigger than another one I have, which they sit on also, The sisal like material (can’t remember what it is) is great.

I don’t get all the little pieces of carpet falling off like from my other scratching posts. I recommend it.

I’m taking care of a family cat for the next five months, I wasn’t sure whether the cat preferred carpet or sisal scratching posts, so I got this one because it was roughly half-and-half. In reality, since the middle 60% is sisal, and that’s the area most normal-sized cats will be scratching, this is basically a sisal scratching post.

It’s a strong post, the sisal rope seems high quality but does have a little bit of fraying (I’ve had it for two weeks now), it’s still wound tightly around the post but some wear is to be expected as my roughly 10lb.

cat uses it multiple times daily and with frequently with a lot of force. The carpeted area, while not the plushest rug, is certainly not the lowest quality either and my cat sometimes sleeps partly on it.

Unless you know in advance your cat won’t use sisal, it’s a good purchase, however I don’t know how long the sisal will last, with my current cat I guess it would last about 12-16 months, but that’s just a weak guesstimate as this is my first cat and my first scratching post.

Another caution, if you plan on buying a cat tree with sisal legs this product might be a redundant purchase, however my cat has both and prefers the sisal on this scratching post. I’ve found that this product can also serve as part of an exercise toy, about twice per day I twirl a shoe lace around it and the cat enjoys scrambling up the post trying to swat at and catch the lace.

I bought this cat scratching post a year ago. It is sturdy and has served the need quite well. My 2 cats use it regularly. However, the top half of the post is mostly unused since it is quite tall, and my cats just use the bottom half.

It would be nice if the post could be switched around–top to bottom so that the other half of the post could be used. Seems kind of waste to get rid of mine for that reason, but the bottom rope coil is shredded (due to use) and is starting to peel off and some of the lower carpet piece is shredding.

I paid $28. 53 for this product a year ago, and now I see that it costs $53. 95. Because of that very steep $25. 00 increase, I will not be ordering it again. I’ll look for something else, somewhere else if needed.

Love the colours in this mat for the Thanksgiving holiday! Fell in love with the turkey immediately.

I love the rug and the only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars was I thought it was a hooked rug that was tightly looped however the loops are loose and I’m afraid it isn’t going to hold up as well as I had expected.

I do love the colors and it is very eye catching. I was pleased with how the shipping went, fairly quick.

Although I really love the patterns on the rugs, I have noticed they are smaller than ones I previously purchased by almost 3 inches!!!

We got this on sale for $75ish which feels like a really great price for a cat tower this quality and size. First things first it’s nice and stable and included hardware to bracket it to the wall for extra security, but we haven’t needed to use it as it feels really secure on its own on our hardwood floors, this maybe different on carpet but idk.

It’s huge and provides lots of space for our cats but I don’t feel like it takes up too much space in our house. There are plenty of larger platforms that I feel like could accommodate a fairly large cat.

Our biggest cat is 9lbs but really tall so she often feels cramped in other cat beds and towers we’ve had but she loves this one and was super comfortable on it right away. The topmost platforms and the upper smaller apartment might be a bit small for any cats much larger than 10lbs but the other platforms provide plenty of space.

The toy mice seem a bit large to be a dangling toy and the elastic they’re on is a bit short for my cats, so I might remove them and have them just be kickers. The rope seems like my cats should love it but so far none have shown interest.

My one complaint about this tower was that for putting it together the hardware bits could’ve been better labeled as sometimes figuring out which screw was the right one was a bit tricky. Also we had to do a bit of surgery to flip the lower apartment 180° so that the openings would be in a better spot for our furniture layout.

The fur on the outside is nice and soft but doesn’t feel like it would hold up well to scratching for long, but the rope sections feel sturdier and my most enthusiastic scratcher prefers cardboard so I don’t think it will be too much of an issue for us, but if your cat tends to scratch the fuzzy parts of their cat towers I wouldn’t expect this to last super long.

The inside of the apartments is just the back of the fabric from the outside but it’s softer than other cat towers I’ve seen do the same thing. For the price we got this at and the size it is I feel like it was a really good buy and would buy it again.

My for babies all have birthdays in the spring and summer. So I figured I would upgrade their current cat tree and buy them all a nice new one for their birthday this year. The one they had was a wobbly mess which is a shame because I paid a decent amount for it and it wasn’t even two years old.

I spent a lot of time agonizing over what was the best kind of cats free for them as well as to accommodate the space I had for it. I looked for a long time and came across this one. It sounded decent and had really good ratings.

What I liked about it was you can remove the cushions and wash it if it ever needed to be washed. When it came I set it up and it really only took me about 40 minutes to set up. The instructions were very user-friendly and I guess so because I’m not the most mechanical or tech savvy person.

It’s been about two months now and my babies have been enjoying this tree so far and it has held up well. Two months doesn’t sound long but my cats or anything but gentle when it comes to playing and jumping on furniture.

They’re also a little on the bigger side which me a tribute to why their other tree became a wobbly broken mess so soon. Even know they are very aggressive with this one it is holding up better than I thought and definitely much better than the other one was.

For the price that I paid for this I am beyond surprised. So I guess this was a gift for me as well.

This tree house would have been awesome especially with the great sale price I was able to purchase it for. A few others had mentioned the same problem in reviews. I was hoping the problem had been rectified.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the bottom board does not have the holes to properly attach the 3 poles in the inside of the cubby. You can only attach from the top and not the bottom. Which left me with 3 leftover letter C screws that unless I can get someone to drill the properly size holes on the bottom board the tree house is unstable and wobbly.

Even though Annabelle did not use the cubby the tree house is still to wobbly. I tried to see if she’d lay in the top bed. She jumped right off and won’t go near it. I’m glad she’s has her giant tree house in the living room, this was for the other room where she likes to chill out / snooze by herself I will say that Chewy did offer the option of me to ship it back to them which I did appreciate very much BUT It weighs about 38 pounds and is way to heavy for me to do so.

I also have arthritis and am undergoing Immunotherapy. I’m just glad was able to purchase it at a very low price so I’m just going to cut my losses and read reviews much more carefully. If it wasn’t for that issue it would have been a wonderful tree house.

So if you have a good drill or a friend with one I’d order it. That’s why I gave it 3 stars. I have already donated the tree house to a rescue where they were able to acquire a drill and fix it. I’m glad that at least some good came out of a not so great purchase for Annabelle.

In this 2-cat household, both cats are using the ramp for pulling their claws. Both immediately “adopted” it. (A little catnip scattered on top may have helped. ) The quality is excellent. These cats have ample other surfaces for pulling on.

That includes 2 small tilted ramps, 2 designed-for-kitty carpeted “furniture” towers, as well as 2 rope-covered vertical posts. (There’s actually human furniture here too). The slanted scratchy ramp is different from their other claw-pulling surfaces.

It provides great resistance and enables them to fully be on the surface, plus evidently there’s something cool about being on a slanted surface. It may be helping to a little diminish one kitty’s preference for pulling on the velvet piping on lovely dining room chairs.

When I went to check a little while ago, that kitty was sleeping on one such chair that is near the ramp — and there has been a little of the pulling on the velvet piping — not as much as usual. So.

Whether the ramp serves fully as a remedy for that behavior — TBD. The product arrived promptly.

We ordered the Scratchy Paw and an extra caret replacement carpet. Highly disappointed to find our box had been taped over like I had been opened before, set it up and hoped my cats would take to it- no such luck.

When getting ready to dispose of the styrofoam it had been packed in-to our surprise there were cats hairs stuck to the styrofoam that were not from my three cats. Also it was opened outside to avoid the styrofoam possibly breaking up and getting in our carpet.

The invoice had no mention of the extra carpet piece I had ordered and wasn’t received with the order. My cats have had desire to use the scratcher as we found other cats hairs on the scratcher. We know our 3 cats and their hair is distinctive.

These were not a their cat hair which were not obvious to us immediately. They smelled the scratcher pad and now have avoided it ever since. Not only do we have a scratcher the cats refuse to use but also was charged for an extra replacement carpet pad that was never received.

Big disappointment as it was built very well and the design was very well thought out and was made with beautiful wood. It is adjustable and you are able to put it at different heights.

We currently have 5 indoor kitties. Though I’ve owned cats all my adult life that did not sharpen claws on furniture or wood trim, these particular kitty personalities have been awful about inappropriate clawing and scratching.

When I saw this Scratchy Ramp, I knew I needed to try it. With a money back guarantee, I had nothing to lose! I was concerned the cats would ignore it, but within one week, 4/5 cats are now retraining well and using the scratch ramp regularly, with only occasional sneaks back to the wood trim on a doorway.

The fifth kitty is a challenge. She is more resistant, even with catnip and a favorite toy on the ramp. I’m still picking her up and carrying her to the ramp when I catch her slumping toward the back of the couch – I keep telling her I still have eyes in the back of my head.

But overall, I’m quite impressed with the way the other 4 have adapted to using it! The design is sturdy, very stable, and the scratch carpet pad is very durable. I may need to order another one after the holidays.

I like this tree so much that after a week have already recommended it to friends. The construction is superior to other cat trees I own. It barely moves at all when one cat takes a flying leap from the bed to the top shelf.

The shelves and “box” are generously sized. The carpet is good quality. The instructions are clear and the bolts are large and high quality. I am a past middle-aged disabled woman, and I was able to assemble it alone.

I had to make multiple rounds on my walker with pieces from the door where it was delivered, to the room where I wanted to build it, but it was doable. My cats and I are very satisfied with the finished product, and I know it will last for years to come.

I needed something to put next to another cat tree with more levels to help my cats get to the top because they are older and have some difficulty climbing. After searching I decided on this. I like that it’s carpeted.

It’s pretty big. Was easy to put together. Seems sturdy. The perches are spaced more like steps which I was looking for. So far the cats have had no problem getting to the top. The condo is a good size and even my really big cat fits in there comfortably.

The top perch is bigger than most cat trees I’ve seen too. I would recommend especially for bigger cats and cats that have trouble climbing too much.

The kitty loved this, as a perfect stalking point to watch the birds. I had to constantly tighten screws and bolts that didn’t hold fast, and it shook when he pounced. And then, last night, kitty jumped up and the whole side broke right off.

I bought this because my Luna outgrew her other cat tree. I liked the idea of a big sleeping area at the top. It fits perfectly in front of my bay window, which is where she likes to look outside. It is sturdy and handles her jumping to the top all in one jump.

I wish there was an area for her to jump halfway up then up to the top, like her old tree, but this one doesn’t have that luxury. The other issue I have is that I ordered the grey color, which according to the picture on the website is a light gray, which is the color we had before.

When I got my order and started assembling I could see that it’s not the light gray that is pictured on the website. It is more like the charcoal color—definitely a dark gray. I double checked my order to make sure I didn’t order the other option by mistake, and also checked the box to make sure I wasn’t shipped the wrong color.

My order said gray as did the box. I’m a little disappointed that the color isn’t as shown on the website because the lighter grey matches my decor and wouldn’t stand out like the darker gray does since it sits in my small living room.

Chewy needs to fix the description or contact the manufacturer so others aren’t disappointed or surprised when they receive this darker color. I contacted Chewy but all they did was apologize for me having to email them twice.

Luna likes her new, larger sleeping area so I will keep it for now and maybe find something different in the future.

I bought this pole because the color was described as reddish brown but what I received was a light beige pole. I wanted it to blend in with the furniture since it is an eyesore sitting in the room. Have to say it is a nice tall post and heavy but if you are buying it for the color choice beware.

I know my cat doesn’t care about the color but that was the reason I bought it and was thinking of getting 2 one for the other room but since I was so disappointed in this one I wouldn’t take the chance of getting another one since it wasn’t the color described.

The post and base are heavy wood which will prevent turn over, and height is adequate for my 13 # cat to stretch. Why they would waste such a well built tree with large loop carpet I cannot understand.

I have carpet pieces everywhere Constantly have to clean them up. Using a flat tight carpet would have made this an excellent post. Sadly cheap long strand carpet seems to be all I can find on carpeted cat trees any more.

The SmartyKat Rowdy Rascal toy is adorable and makes cute noises, which initially attracted my cat. However, it is designed to hang on a door handle and encourage a cat to scratch it that way. Not my kitty.

She just wants to cuddle it and lick the feathers. I call it her baby. I have it 4 stats only because it did not really serve the expected purpose of being a hanging scratching pad. I will keep it as she does seem to like it, but probably not recommend it to someone needing to have an actual scratching pad.

I thought this was a cute scratcher for my kitties and thought they would really like like. Nope, I was mistaken. I have 3 cats and two of them are always scratching my door trim. I thought this would stop them and they would enjoy this but they weren’t even interested in it.

When they didn’t play with it on the door knob, I moved it to the floor but that didn’t help. They still didn’t like it. Now that’s just my experience but as far as the product goes, it is sturdy, well made and makes a cute chatter sound to get your cat’s attention.

I got this the other day and put it on my doorknob and then immediately took it off! The issue wasnt the toy, but my cats. I already have issue with the cats clawing up doors when they want to go in and out, and I thought it might not be the best choice for my cats.

I did put it on the floor and my one cat went over and briefly played with it. It seems to stick on the bottom so it doesnt move on the floor, but I am not sure how well that will hold up if a cat tries to scratch on it.

This will be used as a toy for a couple months in house and then I will move it out for the ferals.

We were so excited to try out this SmartyKat Triple Tower Carpeted Cat Scratch Post; my cats have never had such a fancy scratching post. The post came in pieces but it was an easy turn and screw set up that I assembled in minutes.

It took a little while for my cats to get used to this. At first they were scared of it where it was so tall, maybe. I got some of their toys and put around the base and rubbed their toys on it so it would smell like them and they started going over to it and scratching on it.

I knew it would take them a while to get used to it because they’re like that with everything. I am so happy they started using it because they always try to use my furniture and walls for sharpening their claws.

I was excited to order this “triple tower” system to distract our cats from scratching up some new furniture we got. It was super easy to put together and I thought the three different materials – carpet, jute, and burlap – would interest them.

Well, they ignored it for a few days, and when I finally saw them using it, both cats – one big, one small – were weirded out at how wobbly the entire structure was. The base just isn’t heavy enough.

The big cat actually toppled it over a few times and then completely lost interest. The smaller one likes to sleep on the base (go figure!) and LOVES the cute little velcro toys but barely uses the scratching post for its purpose.

This might work better for cats who manage to STAND on the base while they’re scratching, maybe mine are just too stupid.

I have four beautiful cats that are pretty rough on things being they started out feral. We usually go thru a ‘curl’ style scratcher every two months. We have three of those plus other scratching devices.

My 3 girls, Cali and 2 of her babies from 8 years ago love the ramp and are scratching on it so much I decided to order additional replacements while they were on sale. I rescued Cali when she was a very young kitty that the people who had lived at this foreclosed house appeared to my son and the locksmith changing the locks on the house, was trying to go in the house while they were there.

Assuming she had been left behind my son called to see if I could take her. So I agreed. That was 8 years ago in July snd August 1st she gave me 4 babies. So I found a good home for 2 of the babies and kept the mom and the 2 other kitties.

Bought this three-post scratching piece but must share that the top inner surface is by no means all carpeted as I would have expected from online photo. Only the outer ring is carpeted. Center of top is just a piece of BRUSHED FABRIC.

No support. It makes our cat very leery of walking on it because he begins to ‘sink’ — somewhat defeating our owning this for his liking of high places to jump on/off! Our cat definitely won’t be laying or sleeping on it as we had hoped.

Exactly as we thought it would be. Not incredibly sturdy but, that’s what is expected from kitty furniture! Our 10lb kitty loves scratching on the wooden or rope pillar and rubbing on the carpeted pillar.

It’s the perfect height so that he can see out our windows into the yard.

My rug came by US mail carrier. It was not in_x000D_ for Christmas, so I have to save it for my_x000D_ granddaughter’s birthday. So, I was a little_x000D_ disappointed, but understand there is deliver_x000D_ problems sometimes.

Bought as a gift and she was very happy with it. Nice on top of carpet, but if on bare floors, needs carpet tape to keep it in place.
