20 Best Carpet For Kitchen (2022 Updated)

The yellow color of this rug is so bright and beautiful in person. It is a little thin but it’s not in a high traffic area so I didn’t mind or even use a pad. I was a little surprised that it shipped folded in half considering I bought it from a rug specialty site.

The 8×8 rug was folded and rolled so that it was 4′. I had previously purchased an 8×10 from a different, non rug-specialist website and that one came just rolled, not folded. The package was 8′ long.

So the crease from the fold is still kind of there after a few weeks even after I’ve put books, weights, etc on it. I’m sure it will disappear eventually. Overall, I’m pleased with the size and look of this rug!.

We’ve been using this rug for about a week and a half. 6′ round, used underneath a kid’s table & chairs so that they don’t scratch the luxury vinyl tiles/”boards. ” Purchased on sale for $50. I’m happy with this rug overall.

The pattern and color are what I had expected from the website, and I’m happy how well it looks in our living room alcove. Hides dirt/droppings from a toddler well, while looking classy. Vacumes well.

When it arrived, the carpet pile had dark lines from being folded and wrapped in plastic, but a week unfurled and those are almost gone now. Still a little wrinkled at the edges, but that should get pressed out more as we walk on it.

Seems to be a good rug for the price. Two reasons for a 4 star rating. 1) the pile is rather thin. When the rug is bent, the woven infrastructure is visible. It usually lies flat, so the visual is no big deal.

But it does mean a less padded underfoot experience. I am glad we got the no-skid carpet pad for underneath. 2) when we built a blanket fort over the rug, it ended up smelling a bit like plastic or acrylic inside the fort after a few hours.

Not noticeable when opened to the room’s air flow normally, but this could be an issue if you put it in a small, unventilated space. Hoping it airs out soon, as we plan to have many more blanket forts in the future.

We recently installed hardwood floors throughout our house so I’ve been looking for several rugs. I chose two of the gray six foot runners to go in our bedroom on the sides of the bed. I was really impressed with the shipping and handling.

The rugs arrived in just a few days and were not only wrapped tightly in plastic they were also in their own individual boxes. I ordered rugs from two other well known companies and those rugs were shipped only wrapped in plastic.

They weren’t damaged or anything but for Rugs USA to offer free shipping the double protection was a big plus. I love the rugs!!! They are just what I was looking for. The colors look like the pictures and they are very soft!!! Softer than I expected them to be.

Our boxer also loves them!!! Our bed is pretty high off of the ground and she was having a hard time jumping off of the bed because her feet would slide right out from under her on the wood floor making her scared to jump down.

With a rug pad under these rugs they don’t move when she jumps down now. So she’s happy, so we are happy and would recommend them for this use.

This rug is beautiful and so comfy under your feet. After 3 years of use in our living room (so higher traffic area), big sections of the rug became matted down and impossible to vacuum or rake back up to former glory.

We have turned it so those sections are now under the couch and nicer sections are showing again. I can see how quickly it is getting matted in those new sections again. It is a shame, because I do really like the rug.

Long story short – this is probably a 5 year rug if you are putting it in a higher traffic area. Still giving it 4 stars, because we really like it. Just wish it hadn’t worn out so quickly.

Rug is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Appeared to have a tight loop and very high quality. Not so much. Snags even from my sweeper and my dog. I put it down right before Christmas. Shows dirt on the white and every else on the black.

More of a showpiece than a functional rug. Vacuuming is constant. But it is incredibly beautiful.

We bought this carpet just a few weeks ago. The wife and I saw this in one of the websites. We had moved to a retirement apartment from a large, contemporary house. I am an abstract painter so I do love color and many different forms together.

I have tile floors but recently purchased large area rugs for all rooms in my apartment because my two elderly dogs started having trouble walking on the tiles. I needed rugs that were large, affordable, and durable – and hiding spots would be a bonus (see previous comment about elderly dogs :-p).

I also wanted them to bring some color and liveliness to my apartment. This rug truly fit the bill in the “color and liveliness” department! I loved the colors snd pattern when I saw this online, but it looked so dramatic that I worried it would be too much.

I actually decided to go for it after reading reviews and looking at pictures posted by others, so I decided to do the same in case it’s helpful for anyone else. 🙂 The colors are very vibrant in real life and I really love how it brightens the room up (the walls are painted a weird dark teal so brightening was desperately needed).

It is soft to walk on and is holding up well so far. Also, the dogs are big fans. Very pleased with my purchase! NOTE: This picture was taken at night, so take that into account when looking at the colors.

I bought this rug a couple of years ago and loved it at first. Super soft and plush, just what I was looking for in our master bedroom. I didn’t have any significant issues with shedding, as other reviews had mentioned.

Fast forward to now, and I majorly regret this purchase. The rug is very difficult to keep clean or vacuum. I can use the suction hose on my canister vac to try and get up visible debris, and it just stays there.

You really need to be able to shake it out periodically, but as it is under a king size bed with a memory foam mattress, it’s just not realistic to do. Also, even though it is in a low traffic area, and we never wear shoes on it, it is all matted and has formed dreadlocks and just looks awful.

I am going to have to trash it and replace it.

We didn’t know what to expect. However, when I first entered my daughter’s house I was REALLY impressed! It is soft and fluffy. (Our two dogs think they died and went to heaven with this rug. ) We were also not sure what exactly the color would be.

It is white as was advertised. We did order the pad which I would definitely recommend doing. All in all, she will be ordering another rug for under her dining rooms table from RugsUSA. Also, we were very pleased with the amazing updates on ordering, shipping and delivery.

This is the first review I’ve ever written. This rug is garbage! I bought it in Grey, and because it’s really cream with grey design, I need to be able to wash it. The description clearly says “Machine Washable”.

It’s not. Please see pic of tag on back of the rug. I purchased a 6×9 and 3 sized 2×3. Definitely not excited to carry these to the car and back to Target to return. At least I don’t have to pay shipping to return them.

Design is lovely, but feels extremely cheap, plastic like.

I purchased this same design and size from the same manufacturer a few years ago and was happy with the quality. However, this recent purchase from what appears to be the same manufacturer, size and design has been disappointing.

Yes, I unrolled the runner to straighten out the ripples, layer it out in the sun, dampened the surface…. to no avail. The runner remains slightly rippled, doesn’t lay flat but is also of a thinner weight than the original runner.

I’ve now relegated this runner to a spot that doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic until I can replace it.

This was a huge disappointment! I ordered this exact rug 2. 5 years ago from Target for $200 less than it is now and the quality was AMAZING. I re-ordered and was so incredibly disappointed in the quality.

Rug is thin, like something I would use for an outdoor rug, made of non-natural material and I would NEVER spend $400 on it. NuLoom has clearly taken the cheap route. My last rug was very thick, cotton, like an actual carpet.

This rug is just as it’s pictured on the site, but prettier!! The texture is awesome! The higher part of the rug (the lighter greys) is very soft and feels very squishy! I did NOT get a rug pad. The lower pile (the dark grey swirls) is thinner but it’s still nice and feels nice to walk on.

I’d call the higher pile lighter greys more of a medium grey and the darker swirls more of a dark/charcoal grey. In the lighter greys it actually looks like there are different shades within that part.

What your feet feel is the higher pile as you walk over the rug. This rug is just perfect! I bought the 9’2” x 12’ for my den. I have 6 dogs and was worried the rug would be too light, but it’s NOT, and it seems like it is not showing dog hair, etc at all (only had a few days though).

Unfortunately my rug had 2 places that were defective. It looked as if there was missing yarns or two “cuts” in the darker grey on just one of the dark grey swirls of the rug. However, Zharvene with customer service was AWESOME and worked with me, and the result was my receiving a more than fair discount as I did not want to, nor was I able to, pack the rug back up for an exchange.

It’s STILL a beautiful rug (defect and all). It might be that I can put the end of the rug where the defect is underneath the front of my sofa, but for now I’m leaving it as is, and it’s still beautiful! I feel the service I received from Zharvene regarding the defect and the QUICK and FAIR manner in which it was resolved, gives me complete trust to order from usarugs.

This rug is exactly what we wanted and better quality than expected. Dog owners who have owned very pricey rugs and had them ruined will understand what I mean. We’ve gone from losing our expensive wool rugs (pet accidents) to making do with the washable brand that’s “made for dogs and toddlers.

” When I say this rug gives you the look of a nice rug with the peace of mind of knowing you’re not breaking the bank when you have to toss it out, busy homeowners will know what I mean. We have it on a tile floor in our living area, with the premium pad, and the raised shaggy parts feel plush underfoot.

I bought 2 for my kitchen years ago. They are as nice today as they were 5 yrs ago. I do a massive amount of cooking, and they make a big big difference in my back. So when the one I bought from Lowes came apart at my front door.

I came straight back to LTD to get one for our front door. I have had more complements on these runners, than any I have ever had. Super easy to clean. I use a lot of bleach on my floors. Still holding up beautifully! Definitely recommend!.

This is the second of these mats that I have purchased. Loved the first one that covers the kitchen sink and dishwasher area. Needed another for my stove/ cutting board area. These mats hold up well in heavy traffic areas of my kitchen; and we don’t take our shoes off in our house! No frayed edges on this mat and we’ve tread on this for over a year.

I previously had a anti fatigue rug from Lakeside, which I also loved. This is my second one. You can feel the comfort. Washing the top is easy. But if it gets wet on the bottom side it needs to be lifted to air dry for awhile.

No big deal though.

I love the pattern of the rug. I also love that it’s washable. That being said, the rug did have some imperfections as far as the threading. The threading was loose and I thought it may unravel before it’s first wash, so I decided to tie a little knot to ensure that that did not happen (view picture.

) I know these are made to order, but I wish the company was more meticulous with the threading process and made sure everything was threaded properly before shipping the rugs out to buyers. The rug is on the thin side which I guess is expected being a rug that is washable.

One thing I do find annoying is when I go to vacuum the rug, it totally a struggle to do. Due to the lightness of the rug it moves along with the vacuum, lol. Other than that, it serves it purpose with removing dirt and stains out of the rug during the washing process all while looking nice.

Having just laid down my first Ruggable rug in my bathroom on it’s cushiony mat, I recognize that it’s the very best rug and matset I have EVER owned. First, it is WAY more beautiful than the web photo.

Secondly, it stays in place PERFECTLY. Thirdly, it feels ultra soft with AND without shoes or slippers on and, finally, it’s an incredible value for the price. We bought another one even more stunning than the first for another bathroom we have yet to put in place having waited to see if we liked the entire system first.

I bought this rug to match the 5×7 one I had bought. At first they said it was out of stock but I kept looking every day hoping it would be back in stock and I was so happy that they came back in stock because I love this rug it matches my living room and they are worth the money.

This rug is so much more softer and more plush than what I thought it was going to be. It matches my dark brown hardwood floors and wine colored sectional perfectly and pulls the room together. You will want to purchase a non slip pad for the rug to sit on it you are putting this rug on hardwood floors.

It has a tendency to slip around. ROOMBA OWNERS BEWARE! My Roomba reads the dark brown lines on this carpet as a cliff and will not cross them. It will not spot clean either because of the lines.

O. K. , I’m old! I have been buying Karastan carpets and rugs for over 45 years. They have always been extremely good quality wool. Fast forward to 2022, I am now living at a lake home. New set of needs, entirely! I still love the colors and designs of Oriental rugs, but when the crowd comes in from kayaking, you don’t need wool rugs to step on.

I ordered the Spice Market rug as a means of testing the new man-made components before I take the plunge to make the larger purchases. The designs are still beautiful. The colors are still vibrant. The texture is still dense.

It looks and feels like real wool carpet, except if it gets wet or someone tromps in dirt, no worries! I will be buying more and larger rugs as I start to decorating. This grandma is smiling!.

The hoot to all this was the delivery. It does not come in 48 hours if you live in Northern NH. But they notified me and gave me the day. It was not the drivers fault he had a 40 foot truck and that we live on a mountain and we just had snow.

First I want to start with how much I absolutely love this rug. I was worried that since it’s washable, the fabric would be rough but it’s actually very soft. The colors are gorgeous in the pattern helps hide any small spills.

I highly recommend ordering a half inch thick rug pad if putting on hardwood floors. Without one it will feel just like walking on hard floors, plus it gives a more luxurious feel. I ordered a quarter inch thick pad from an online retailer, but will be getting a thicker one at a later date.

The price point is great however quality control is not. My rug has a strange white line without any color printed on it and edges are not cut straight and have a wave to them. Luckily customer service was great and sending a replacement immediately.

I bought a larger 8 x 10 size so I’ll take it to a laundry mat with an XL washer. There is no way this will fit in my front loader. Even if I don’t see any stains I still plan to wash it yearly.

I received my rug last week and was in love with it, until I noticed this large spot on it that almost looked like a cut in the rug. It’s not, but it’s definitely a defect where the rug was creased during production and the print is off.

There’s no other spot on the rug like this, despite the vintage distressed look. You can tell this is an error. I messaged the company and got a reply that they were sorry and would send to the warehouse to confirm it’s a defect.

I thought that was odd but hey, that’s fine. It’s the first thing my husband pointed out on the rug when he first saw it, so I felt confident the company would agree. Until I get an email today telling me they don’t think it’s a defect, but will refund me because I’m not happy if I package up the rug and ship it back and they’ll reduce my refund minus the shipping costs.

That is just ridiculous. For the amount of effort, I’ll just keep the rug and try to hide the spot. I do love the rug still, and the colors and patterns, I just don’t like how this was handled. I paid a lot for something that came with a defect, and the company won’t validate that.

I read the reviews very carefully before ordering this rug. A rug is a big investment. A 9×12 rug is something you are going to be living with a very long time. If you are ordering this on line and not looking at it in the store, you kind of get those “Hebee-jeebe” butterflies in your stomach that say better be really careful of what you are doing.

This thing is going to be really hard to return if you don’t like it. SO. I READ the reviews. I looked at the photos. I ENLARGED the photos. I RE-READ the reviews. After a couple of weeks, I purchased this rug on Nov.

2nd and arrived on the 18th. It went missing at FedEx delaying the delivery but so glad it finally arrived. It is EXACTLY what it looks like in the photos. no more, no less. It will go with just about any decor to have in mind, with out over powering the room.

It does not look cheap. it most definitely does not feel cheap. It is well finished around the edges and is true to shape. I purchased a 9 x 12 and it is actually a 9 x 12. It is a low pile. I am not using a rug pad underneath.

It is not moving but a pad would help since I have 2 very energetic dogs and would help thicken the rug. You can tell we just set it up and haven’t fully redecorated the space but will do over the weekend! It vacuums nicely and I will tell you honestly this was the very best investment I could have spent on a rug of this quality.

This is my 2nd time making a purchase, and each time my rugs were delivered on time. The craftsmanship is great, they really dress up a wooden floor. There is no chemical scents emitting from the rug.

So I’m assuming that they are safe for babies as well as pets, and me too. I would highly recommend this company when searching for a nice rug. Also, depending on the rug size, the pricing is reasonable.

The colors even match what’s on line too.

The rug, Karastan Spice Market, is every bit as beautiful as depicted in the picture. I purchased this rug to replace a rug I’d had for many years. While I’ve only had this for a few months based on the quality I expect to have this rug for many years of enjoyment.
