20 Best Carpets For Basements (2022 Updated)

I read many of the reviews logged from customers so satisfied you’d think they received a free puppy with their order or tickets to the Caribbean. It was really hard to believe! But we got our carpet yesterday and I MUST say, it is INCREDIBLE.

The color, the quality, and especially the cost and value for the money is UNBEATABLE. Carpet dealers in our area wanted TWO TO THREE TIMES more $ for this kind of rug. These guys are the real deal – they’re a throwback to days long gone, when customers paid a reasonable price and got MORE than they asked for.

We purchased an older home with lots of charm, and the previous owners had expensive carpet installed shortly before we purchased the house. Wasn’t really our taste, but it would be a shame to rip it out, being so new and in great shape.

So, we bought this lovely 4×6 accent rug in Navy Blue for our TV Room. We love it. This rug is accented with Sky Blue highlights throughout it that we couldn’t see in the online photos. So we’re including a photo to show the Sky Blue highlights.

Just as lovely as expected, maybe even more so. Highly recommend.

Very pleased with everything about this rug. I was surprised at the quality for the price! I mean, I don’t expect it to last forever, but it seems like it can hold up to dogs and kids and life for a number of years.

The colors are beautiful, exactly as pictured. I also liked that they weren’t excessive with the packaging. Just enough to keep the rug safe and snug for its journey- this small detail is very impactful for the environment.

This rug is more orange than yellow the stock picture taken from above (with no furniture) is the most accurate picture of the color. When it is in the sun it does appear lighter but I would still say that its a pretty dark yellow.

I included picture of the carpet in comparison with a truly yellow pillow so you can see the real color in comparison. I still love it and it ties in the different yellows of my painting so I am happy with it.

I am giving it four stars because its not 100% symmetrical. on corner is shorter than the other corner which causes the carpet so seem like its not lined up correctly. It’s only minor and i think only I cna notice, but I included a picture with an arrow pointing to it.

It was definitely worth the price! (got it for $99 during 4th of july sale!).

I am disappointed in the construction of this rug. I tried two other rugs (that designs didn’t work) from competitors, in a lower price point than this one, that were a bit thicker and much softer under foot.

This one is 100% polypropylene while the others contained some polyester, making them softer. While the design and colors of this rug are perfect for my home and bring life to the room, it does feel “cheap”, rough, and thin even with a quality rug pad.

This was confirmed by a reviewer that owned this rug for several years, replaced with same only to find quality had gone “waaaayyy down”. Now, I realize too late that, unlike their competition, Rugs USA does NOT have free return shipping.

@RugsUSA, you should not cut corners on construction! It is possible to make a better quality, low cost rug and I would rather pay a little more for better quality. I will not buy from this website again.

Okay, so I’ve had this rug for just shy of a year and I cannot say enough good things about it. I was hesitant to spend the money—regardless of getting it during a sale— but it has been entirely worth every penny.

We live in a house full of inevitable mess (cats, a toddler, a new baby, the list goes on). When I tell you that this rug has seen it all, I mean it: hairballs, iced coffee, juice, beer, and even full glasses of WINE.

This rug does not have even one visible stain. Let me say that again: Even after spilling full glasses of red wine on this rug, there is not one single stain ANYWHERE. I’d love to take the credit and act like I’m a super mom who can get any and every stain out, but I’m not.

I promise this rug is just incredible. So if you’re like me and my family, you live in constant chaos, but you really want a beautiful area rug, you will not regret buying this.

THIS DOESN’T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE PHOTO ON WEBSITE AND EVEN OTHER SITES. Yes nice quality but WAY OFF in colors and look. Not sure I will keep it being so dull and dark in colors and missing the pink I was hoping for in a rug.

My bedding doesn’t really match. This is a mash of colors leaving it looking busy. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Nuloom has different names for this rug but uses same photo. I wanted a runner to match had this worked but that is completely out.

Can’t trust what I would get. I was so excited to receive this rug. Great price too and quick to ship. But this changes everything including pillows I ordered and almost a painting. Glad I held off. I may buy from another place and hope the right rug comes in.

Not sure I can live with this.

I needed a new carpet for my skinny, narrow 9′ long kitchen. It is heavily trafficked by me, my dog, and my cat. We live on an unpaved road–thus, lots of the outdoors wants to come indoors. I want to protect the kitchen floor as much as I am able.

Plus we get all four seasons in deep flavors. This carpet is PERFECT!!!! It is plusher than I thought it would be. It is “heavier” than I thought it would be (i. e. , very well made). I know I am going to be very pleased with this carpet!.

I’ve had my eye on this rug for some time and purchased right away when it went on sale at an amazing price. This rug is just beautiful and of very high quality for the price. Neutral shades of tan, beige, brown and ivory with a carved black edging along the design.

The pile is a nice medium height and very soft. It was shipped folded and laid out nicely with no creases after just a few days.

Thankfully the color was not accurate and was exactly what I wanted! Online in the closeup photos it looks light yellowish/ tan, in person it is a true light beige. The white background is a true white, not cream.

I had doubts but was hoping for the best because the pattern is gorgeous, and I really needed the 8×8 size. This added the finishing touch to our living room.

Nice rug at a great price. I have been looking for an oriental rug of this size for some time. I have not been able to find any in local stores and was about ti give up when i ran across an ad for Rugs.

com. They were very quick in completing transaction and delivered the rug ahead of planned delivery. Good communication throughout the process. Rug is slightly thicker than my other rugs but not a problem.

The Yasmin rug is lovely. The colors are vibrant and the material feels good under the feet. This rug is of great quality for the price range. Overall we are pleased with this purchase. Our only complaint is that the rug was folded for shipping.

We are still working on easing out the creases. Please note that a rug should be rolled, not folded, for shipping or storing.

This rug is just lovely! It is exactly what I was looking for and precisely as pictured online. The price is very reasonable–the rug is exceptional quality for the money. I would definitely order more of this type.

It was well-packed, arrived quickly and safely, and even came with instructions regarding rolling it out and cleaning it. This was my first order from Rugs. com, and I will definitely order from them again.

Ordered the camel color 3×7’1 mat and extremely happy. With 5 dogs, our back door carpets were always getting tossed after a couple months. Happy I found this and can hose down. We live in Ohio so after rain and snow there is always mud!! I’m going to order another because our back door gate space is 6×7’4” and I can have them pushed together.

This would also be great under their food bowl! It looks attractive and doesn’t slip even with multiple dogs flying in and out the door. Not sure about everyone else’s dogs but if one of ours gets sick they always run to a rug/mat, so hosing it down will be nice! I would absolutely buy a 5×7 for our front and back door if it would be available!.

We have a couple of these rugs from a few years ago. They are a bit pricey, but everything is nowadays. The rugs are holding up well, other than the smaller ones tend to slide around over time, even with cleaning the bottom.

They will fade over time too. We just ordered 2 new rugs. One came folded wrong in the box. We are waiting to see if the crease will come out. The rugs are very easy to vacuum and clean. The larger rugs are heavy, which is a good thing.

But a bit harder to drag outside to hose off and hang up to dry. Thinking about trying the stair treads.

I purchased the 1’10” x 2’11” Water Trapper Mat to use under my dog’s water and feeding bowls after he had spilled the water bowl onto the carpet. While we were waiting for the Water Trapper Mat, we placed a rubberized bath room rug under the bowls.

A short time afterwards I noticed our dog , Norman , had a tiny open area on the top of his nose. Hsiang has a habit of rubbing his nose along the outside of his ceramic feeding bowl but the sides are smooth and could not cause the open area.

Then I noticed he was lifting up a corner of the bathroom rug. Shortly after this we received the Water Trapper Mat which I placed under his bowls. Due to the cleating under the mat , he was no longer able to lift up the corner of the mat with his nose and the open area quickly healed.

So while the Water Trapper Mat does a great job of catching any more spills it also resolved the open area on Norman’s nose. What a great product.

I really needed a new rug for my apartment living room and was searching for a fluffy shag rug to cozy-up my place. I found this one and bought it in the light grey. I really love the grey! It’s so perfect.

Not too dark or light. Please don’t ever stop making this color because I plan to come back and buy this again in the future. It’s sooo soft. My cat loves it too! She was scared of it at first (LOL), but now she just loves to roll around on it.

=) I bought a 1/2″ rug pad which makes even more cushy. I’m not sure if my Bissel will work on this thick pile, but that’s okay. You can’t beat this price. Thank you Rugs. com.

I never heard of rugs. com, and found them while searching on google. I had carpet for our sitting room that is similar to this but we had to trash it. Since then, I couldn’t find one so I waited until I saw this rug on rugs.

com. I ordered it and was surprised that they accept Venmo. I clicked pay and then told my husband, he said that’s a spam, you will never get it. But he was wrong, and I received this beautiful carpet on time in great shape.

I bought this rug for my granddaughter for Christmas. It’s a beautiful rug and great quality! The pile is soft and just what she wanted as part of her room makeover. I first bought a rug from the popular big “A” website that was also gray and shaggy.

But it was the cheapest quality and ugliest rug I’ve ever seen, it didn’t even have a backing like a rug, it was basically a cheap piece of shaggy gray fabric. I instantly returned it and came to Rugs.

com and bought a real rug that was well worth the price! She loves it (& so does her cat 🙂 I should have taken a pic of it in her room, love it.

Shipping was very fast, and the rug came very well protected and packaged. It is true to the photographs, even though some reviews said the gray looked more blue but I find it to be a true gray. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and it still hasn’t flattened out yet but this is supposed to be normal.

I’m weighing down the ridges with boxes and things trying to get it to flatten out. It’s a rather thin rug but that’s what I needed and the description stated this. it has a very intricate design that I don’t think I’ll get tired of soon.

Also, $99. 99 for a quality rug this big is an incredible price. All in all I’m very happy and the rug looks beautiful in my apartment. It treally classes up the joint! LOL.

I am very happy with the quality if this runner rug. I needed a 10 ft runner in my foyer to manage the wet foot traffic for occasional guests and letting the dog out. I needed a mainly black with warm brown secondary color to compliment my sturdier Front Gate all weather entry rug that was a gift.

This rug is just the right weight that when paired with the basic non skip pad is the perfect thickness. It vacuums line a dream with both my Hoover upright Windtunnel and my central vacuum. No pilling.

Laid flat within a day of unboxing. This was on sake and a very good buy.

This is my third set of rugs to try in my bedroom and I couldn’t be happier. I purchased the other two sets that didn’t work from Amazon and had to return. I decided to try esalerugs and am so glad I did.

I paid less for these rugs than any I purchased from Amazon. I find the quality of these rugs for the price to be amazing. They arrived in 3 days and were rolled up. I removed them from the packaging, laid them out and Bingo! We have a winner! They were a little curled up on the inside edge of the roll and I just rolled them in the opposite direction and held for a min or two and they laid out nice and flat.

The color said cherry red but it is more of a burgundy which is what I wanted. I’m not sure who is happier, me or Daisy.

I purchased the 1’ 8”x 2’ 7” rectangle to to replace a KAS The Venetian carpet (sage fleur-de-lis) of the same size. With the Venetian unavailable, I was happy to find this green/ivory Corinthian. The color and pattern appeared similar to what I wanted to replace.

The rug I received came quickly and is of very good quality. I would love to give it five stars, but the colors and pattern intricacy don’t come close to what I see on your site. The green is way darker than expected.

The lack of intricacy I’ll attribute to the small size I purchased.

We downsized to a one floor condo and the front door was not far from the garage door into the house in a 10′ x 12′ foyer. I had a black rug in the adjacent living room and needed two 3′ x 2′ rugs for the front door and the garage door.

These beautiful rugs pulled the whole area together visually as well as being functional and sturdy. Soft, too! Very happy with my choice.
