20 Best Carriers For Newborns (2022 Updated)

When we had our first kid, I got a different, cheaper carrier because I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use it. I used it a few times but wasn’t a big fan. I knew this time around (3 yrs later. ) I’d need a good carrier since having a 3yr old and a new baby would be crazy.

I’ve used this more around the house since we’re not very social during the pandemic. This was recommended to me in a Facebook group I’m in and I never heard of it before that! I live in WI so I was drawn to this All Seasons one specifically.

I love how sturdy and secure this feels. It doesn’t dig into my waist (like my other one) or my baby’s little legs and irritate them. She seems to enjoy it as well! I also bought the waist extender since I wasn’t sure if I would need it or not, but I ended up not needing it! I’m still wearing my pregnancy jeans 3 months later (still have that belly) and about a XXL in pants.

I love that there is a little pocket, that it folds down if babe gets warm, that there is a little “sun shield” or as someone else mentioned a germ shield and it’s in a fun pattern too. The lumbar support is nice too! I’m very happy I decided to spend the extra money and get a good quality carrier.

I have became a mom of two last month and bought it hoping to carry both of my children. I love baby and toddler wearing so I was pretty excited when I found this beautiful and versatile carrier. To be even more happy, along with the All Seasons I have received Dragonfly Wrap free (thank you Lille)! What not to be happy with? Since I am using the Dragonfly for my newborn now (we both love it- the best wrap so far) I tried the All Seasons with my toddler and it felt really comfy for both of us.

We tried front and back carry (yes, my 2 year old loves to be carried in the front facing inwards). I can’t wait to use it more! Wish I have had found this carrier when my firstborn was a baby!.

I am fortunate enough to be able to bring my baby to work with me now that she’s seven weeks old. The last week, however, was a struggle without a good carrier. We tried a wrap, which worked, but it’s like wearing an extra layer (or two) of clothing, and tying it is a pain.

I tried a soft structured carrier (SSC) that I picked up at a yard sale many years ago, but the straps would loosen over the course of a few MINUTES, it was such a pain to get the baby in and out, and it had no support.

I fell in love with another brand of SSC which I ordered, but shipping will take two weeks and I need something NOW. Enter the LílléBaby! I ran to target and picked this guy up and I am SO HAPPY with it! It’s crazy comfortable and supportive, it’s easy to get baby in and out, easy to put on and take off, and my (12 lb) newborn is snuggly and comfortable in it.

Additionally, the neutral color means that my husband will feel comfortable wearing it too (the other carrier I ordered is pretty frilly and girly). I am so glad I bought this carrier. It’s perfect! One small tip I will offer: play around with the straps until you find your sweet spot.

Initially, the plastic strap adjusters were digging in under my arms and it was uncomfortable, but I was able to fix that problem by moving the chest strap up farther, which made the whole carrier more comfortable!.

I am a mum of two (6 months and 3 years) and carry my youngest daughter everyday. For the first couple of months I used a stretchy wrap. Although the BabyBjorn Carrier One is suitable from birth (3. 5kg and above) I don’t think a structured carrier offers the same support as a wrap but having said that for those wanting to use it from the start, not having to buy a separate newborn insert is a big positive.

In addition to the BabyBjorn I also have a Connecta. The BabyBjorn is a great carrier particularly for those who are inexperienced with baby wearing as it’s really easy to put on and get baby in. Once you’re used to them, the clips are very secure and easy to use.

It’s a comfortable carrier with padded straps and waist band. Having said that it’s very bulky. My Connecta folds up and fits in my changing bag which makes it far more practical for when I’m out and about.

I also prefer the thinner material of the Connecta when I’m carrying under my baby wearing coat. In terms of carrying position, my daughter is comfortable in both and her hips are well supported. The position of the straps at the top on the BabyBjorn means that her arms are pinned out to the sides which is not ideal if she’s sleeping.

There are a number of different carrying positions. As of yet I’ve only carried her on my front facing me. We will back carry when she’s older and although she’s old enough to carry facing outwards (not an option with the Connecta) I do not feel that her hips are supported in this position and so it’s not something I personally will be doing.

I still carry my eldest daughter in my Connecta from time to time but by the time she was 3 she had already exceeded the maximum 15kg carrying weight of the BabyBjorn. Overall, the BabyBjorn is a practical yet stylish looking unisex carrier.

It comes with a fairly hefty price tag but for that you get a well-made carrier that is easy to use and is comfortable for both baby and mum or dad (as my partner can vouch for).

After first trying the soft Moby wrap, my daughter hated it, she would cry immediately after being put into it. I have up on Carriers… then I started to get intense pain in my wrists from holding my daughter all day long.

I decided to give this carrier a try and am so glad I did. I won’t go so far to say she loves it, but so far she tolerates it — which is better than crying! She seems comfortable and I definitely am!.

Based off of everything I read and saw about the most popular wraps this one seemed to be no different but offered more support and convenience which after trying proved to be true.

The extra back support is nice, Posture is important and back pain is extremely common postpartum so do your body a favor and give it a chance. Like the other reviews now say it does not come with the best instructions but a quick search on YouTube and I found two videos showing how to correctly put it on.

Always try products before washing them, so if it’s not for you you have the option to return it. I did give it four stars because of the price. Personally I think all of them are a bit over priced. Which looking into the I also found many examples of moms who bought fabric and made there own.

I love this wrap. It is easy to put on, very comfy and supportive. Pretty colors, I have 2 and interchange them when baby spits up or to match my outfit. Fits in a nag nicely. I tried other wraps and my baby was uncomfortable.

First times in it and he let out a sigh like “ahhh” and fell asleep. I have a very active 2 yo and I like how quickly I can put this on. I searched for a soft wrap with a bit of structure. Also have a seat me and the doll carrier for my son, love these too!.

I have a name brand carrier double in price of this one. my oldest loved it for a year but my back sure didn’t. my second by 3 months was already done with it. I need to carry her up a huge flight of stairs for preschool and as she got bigger it was becoming harder and harder.

she is 6 months and 18 pounds and the hip seat has been game changer. it is so nice for quick up and downs- really is game changer for dropoff. tried wearing her to the pool today and not only was she happy in a carrier for the first time in many months she actually took a good nap in it.

the seat gives them a bit more room for babies that don’t love being worn. plus it was sooo much more comfortable than our other much more expensive carrier. downside is it can’t be worn from birth (but our second is 6 months and our last).

and there aren’t as many settings, pockets, etc. but honestly I think the simplicity makes it much easier to use.

We have loved using the Moby 2-n-1 Baby Carrier and Hip Seat for 9 month old baby! I have been so impressed with this carrier! I used to be a more plus-sized woman and I had a hard time finding carriers that would fit comfortably around the waist without needing to buy an extendor.

Although I am not considered plus size anymore, I noticed that a great benefit of this carrier is how it can accommodate sizes so well with a very lengthy strap. The hip seat is a great feature and really helps to distribute the weight of the baby on your hips, not putting strain on your back.

It’s also much easier to strap baby in initially with being able to balance the baby on the seat while getting the straps situated. I did not have any issues with a sore back with this carrier unlike some others I have tried in the past.

I also felt like it was so comfortable for my baby since she was really sitting on something. She could kick and move her legs around and she was so excited about that! I was even able to use just the hip seat for my 35 pound 3.

5 year old. There are so many different positions you can use this carrier for. The videos online are helpful but I do wish the actual instruction manual that came with the carrier included some more descriptions rather than just pictures.

It still is a pretty easy carrier to figure out. With traveling this summer, this is going to be a very well used carrier for our family! The little pocket on the hip seat that can easily carry my wallet, phone, passport if I’m flying, is amazing! I would highly recommend this carrier!.

Review I received the Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I have 3 kids, (the youngest being 2 months old,) and I have a lot of experience with babywearing.

My babies and I have all loved using wraps, slings and carriers throughout their infancy and even toddlerhood – in the house to get things done, out and about running errands, walking and hiking, on all day trips and on vacation- carriers are definitely a game-changer for any parent.

For my 2- month old son, I have been using a traditional wrap to carry him since he was born. Like the name implies, the wrap is a long piece of fabric that requires a lot of complicated (at times) wrapping and tying to put on, but it’s also super cozy and warm to carry my newborn in the colder months in New England.

But as my son is getting a bit older, and it’s getting warmer outside, I’d started looking for a different carrier- something less heavy and thick, and something a little easier, especially when ‘on the go’.

I didn’t feel the baby was quite ready for the bigger structured carriers yet, even with the infant insert. Enter the Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier! This mesh carrier combines all of my favorite features from the wrap with all of the conveniences and support of a more structured carrier.

It keeps my baby cozy and close to me and is great for breastfeeding. Like with the wrap, he falls asleep almost instantly when in the Embrace carrier. It is super lightweight – incredibly easy to pack up and take with me on outings and it takes up hardly any space in a bag.

The material is a lightweight knit/mesh – it’s soft and breathable for me and my little guy and I can definitely see us using this carrier all summer long without either of us getting too hot or sweaty.

I love that the straps are stretchable and wrap in the back – like my wrap, it is comfortable and supportive for me and baby- and the long straps make it so easy to put on by myself too. It is so much easier and more convenient to put on than the wrap- literally 3 buckles and we’re good to go.

The carrier has a padded waistband/belt, and a cushioned neck support for baby, and it keeps his hips in the ergonomic “M-position” that’s so important for his hip development. This means we’re both comfortable, even when babywearing for several hours a day.

Other great features of this carrier: it’s machine washable and once he’s old enough, we can use this carrier for baby to sit in a face-out position. I love this carrier so much that I now find myself reaching for this carrier over my wraps, sling and other carriers – it’s just so comfortable and so easy.

This carrier would really make a perfect gift for new/expecting parents and is a great addition to a baby registry – I definitely highly recommend!.

I received this newborn carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in perfect timing! Having had two other newborns in spring/summer timing and being an avid baby wearer, I have been searching for a cooler alternative for baby number three than what I’ve used in the past.

Overall this is a very comfortable, lightweight, breathable cross between a traditional wrap and a carrier and there’s really nothing I’ve found quite like it on the market. These are the pros that I have experienced with this carrier: 1.

Amazingly soft, stretchy material that is breathable like a sports T-shirt. The stretch is better than I’ve seen in any non-wrap carrier and is great for postpartum mom and newborn. This truly has the support of a carrier with the comfort of a warp without feeling like you are bundled in a sweater.

2. So easy to put on. It is so important to be able to slip a carrier on quickly especially when you’re in a hot parking lot with no space and baby is waiting to get out. This slick two clip system (or one clip if you put it over your head) eliminates frustrating tugging, tying or latching every time you just want to get out of the car.

3. Very adjustable to personalize the fit. This has just three main adjustments you can make plus the shoulders that can spread out. The straps have plenty of length so it can be adjusted to my husband who is much larger than myself with plenty more strap to go.

The shoulders can spread out mimicking the comfortable fit of a wrap without feeling like you are wearing a sweater (also leaving your back open to the air). It’s also good to note that if you are the only one using it, then you don’t have to worry about getting it just the right tightness or height every time you use it.

4. Quick and easy instructions. This may seem trivial since we have the internet, but the instructions are so easily laid out that you can quickly find your baby’s weight and how you plan to wear them (forward/backward) and immediately see how they/the carrier should or shouldn’t look once set up.

No need to search for videos or wonder if baby is safe and comfortable. I have not experienced any significant cons with this carrier. The only con that might come up is that it only goes to 25lbs, and I prefer to stay minimal with what baby gear I own.

But given that newborns are so different in needs and body shape than older babies, and I tend to wear my newborn much more than older babies I think it is worth owning a newborn specific carrier.

My son is not yet even a week old, but he already loves this carrier! I have 5 kiddos, with my youngest being born at a whopping 10lbs 9oz. This makes it difficult to use some newborn carriers because he is so heavy already, they just pull down on my shoulders.

That is not the case with this Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier. It provides amazing support, is super comfortable (for both me and him!), and is easy to use. Upon opening the box, I was surprised by how compact the carrier was.

It can roll up and fold down to a rather small size which makes it easy to place in my diaper bag. This is rather impressive considering it has quite a bit of padding to ensure comfort for both parent and kiddo.

It was also incredibly soft to the touch- this made me feel more confident that it would be okay touching my son’s sensitive newborn skin. Ergobaby definitely makes it easy to know how to put the carrier on! Not only does it come with an instruction booklet that has multiple easy to follow photo instructions, but there are tags on the carrier itself that show how to put it on, and you can easily find videos from Ergobaby’s YT channel that show someone putting it on in action.

I have only used one way of wearing it so far, since my son is only a few days old (newborn carry), but I already feel confident in the other methods of wearing it because the videos and photos are so easy to follow.

Once I got it on, I was shocked by how comfortable it was. Not only did it only take about 3 minutes to put it on for the first time (impressive since I had to adjust all the straps that first time too!), but the spreadable shoulder straps were really amazing for dispersing my son’s weight to the point that I feel like I’m not even carrying him or holding him in it at all.

He went into it and immediately went to sleep. In fact, he’s sleeping on my chest, in the carrier, as I write this review. It perfectly allows him to have healthy posture and relaxes his head on my chest so he can hear my heartbeat and get a little bit of skin to skin time.

I have used pretty much any carrier and wrap you can think of over the past 11 years, and this one is absolutely perfect for the newborn stage. It has all the benefits of a wrap, but the structure, comfort, and security of a carrier.

I received this Boppy ComfyChic Baby Carrier from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test out. This hybrid carrier-wrap had great support supplied by the structured front panel, waist strap, and arm holes, so baby stayed where baby should be, on my chest so I could give his fuzzy head kisses whenever I wanted to.

These had the standard tall/wide customization that allowed my husband and mother, who are both very different sizes from me, to adjust-to-fit easily. The two long strips of stretchy fabric with which I was initially so hesitant are what make this baby carrier magic.

It feels like you’re wearing a supportive vest made out of yoga pants material. The stretchy material wraps around you and baby making it feel like you are one again; there are no awkward back- or side-straps that dig in to you, and because you can easily smooth out and adjust the material after you tie it off, you don’t have to worry that there’s anything digging into baby.

It provides baby the a soothing sway with your movements that, at least for my little guy, has him asleep within a few minutes. The design is such that I don’t have to worry if baby is getting enough air flow to breathe properly, which is a relief.

I have a 22 month old and a 2 month old, and I did not buy a double stroller because I live in a city, so when I’m out and about, it’s been so helpful to be able to strap 2. 0 to me while 1. 0 hangs in the stroller.

Because we are out and about more often than not, baby ends up spending a lot of time in the carrier so having it be comfortable for hours on end is marvelous. The Boppy ComfyChic Baby Carrier also provides enough support/structure, that when I would walk our dog while using it, I didn’t have to worry about baby falling out the top as I reached down to clean pick up his business.

probably not something most mothers need to worry about, but a nice fringe benefit for the dog moms out there. During 2. 0’s fussy or clingy moments, I can pop him the carrier and have two hands free to read or play with my toddler.

He liked that baby was near him, but that I still had my hands free to play. Another win? I have my hands free to open a bottle of wine and enjoy a glass at the end of the day while getting to snuggle baby.

My husband and mother, having only used it two or three times each, needed help with the the wrapping, but I’d say I had the hang of it after using it a few times in a row (having a full length mirror helped).

My husband is actually the one who told me to throw out our other carrier because he liked this one so much. My mother said her back hurt at first, so I adjusted the fabric straps a little to tighten them and she never had another problem with it.

The biggest design flaw I’ve come across is that there isn’t a place to store the fabric ties while you’re putting the baby in, so they tend to hang on the ground. Fine when I’m in my house, less fine when I’m putting it on in a parking lot of Target on a rainy day.

(Then again, I’m 5’4″ so most things drag on the ground for me. ) Aside from this, it’s a really great baby carrier that quickly became my go-to.

My baby is a month old and she falls asleep in this carrier real quick. I can easily put her in this by myself in a short amount of time. It is thick so it can be warm. With that, we don’t overly dress her when she’s in it.

My hubby is 6’ 3” and I’m 5’ 7”. Adjusting it to our size is no pain at all. It’s a great tool to have when you have a clingy, fussy baby. We got the black which color coordinates great with our black and gold cybex Priam stroller.

Only flaw is that the stretchy, long strap can get dirty when the ends of it hits the floor.

Overall I liked this carrier. The material feels soft, stretchy and high quality, and it does look pretty stylish. This is the first carrier I’ve tried that allows for the baby to face outward so that was really nice, and the side/hip carry position was unique.

It allowed for me to be able to see what I was doing with my hands better with the baby off to the side, but I don’t think it would be very comfortable for extended periods of time. It is really simple and easy to adjust if you would be frequently sharing the carrier with other people.

It’s kind of neat that this carrier can fold up into its own bag, but honestly I never took the time to figure out how to get it back into that state because it isn’t very straightforward without reading the instructions.

There were a few downsides to this carrier for me. Being a hybrid, there are long pieces of fabric that you use to wrap the baby in, and I was not ever able to get the carrier on without something touching the ground.

Not such a big deal when using the carrier at home, but out and about I don’t love that. Especially during the snowy/wet/dirty midwest winters where I live. I shied away from using this carrier out of the house for that reason.

It also has a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to wrap. I had to refer to the instructions several times when putting the carrier on, especially after not having used the carrier in a while.

I also thought the waist strap was a little on the uncomfortable side for me. There is padding along part of the strap (in the front) but it doesn’t go around very far and the strap isn’t very tall, so after extended use it sort of started digging into my sides a bit.

With all of that being said, I will still get use out of this carrier and will hopefully get a bit more used to wrapping it and it’ll become second nature. I was given this carrier to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I really love this carrier. Originally had the BabyBjorn Mini and then upgraded to this one. Very easy to put on and easy to adjust. I had a secondhand Ergobaby carrier from my sister and the straps were so bulky and kept falling off my shoulder and I couldn’t adjust it unless I took it off or had someone to help me adjust the buckle in the back.

However with the BabyBjorn, I could just adjust the straps on the sides and baby was snug and the straps were NOT thick and bulky and were very comfortable. Was worth every dollar! BabyBjorn carriers are the best!.

Perfect carrier. Cute, breathable. Easy to put on and take off- not a two person job or something you need to practice. Lightweight and crushable- you can stuff it in your diaper bag or plane carry on.

Ideal for newborns and has longevity for small babies. My son is almost 12 months old and 20 pounds, so he is only just outgrowing the carrier as he begins to walk. If you have a chunky baby though you will reach that 24lb limit much sooner.

I absolutely love my tushbaby! It’s my new favorite investment. The tushbaby has helped me tremendously. My absolutely hates being set down he is the happiest being held strollers and baby seats have been a waste of money for us.

Because of this I have bought multiple carries and baby wraps. My son tolerates being strapped for only short periods of time and then demands to be held unrestrained. The tushbaby has saved my back and my arms.

The very first day using it my son sat in it for a full hour walking the grocery store without fussing once! The design is amazing. I carry my phone, my wallet, diapers, wipes, and it perfectly hold much more! I personally would recommend this product as a solution to anyone with a clingy baby or even just to ease carrying in situations that strollers aren’t accessible! My husband was skeptical of this when I first purchased the tushbaby due to the price and not experiencing the product but now he’s a true believer.

The tushbaby is worth every penny. The quality is subpar its quite durable.

Both my husband and I absolutely love this carrier. I’ve purchased so many different carriers, and this is one of my top two. It’s so light and breathable, and baby loves to be in it. It took us a minute to get used to using it, but there are super helpful videos online and after a few times, it was easy as can be.

We use this now as our main carrier. I love that it is so much less bulky than other carriers. Definitely recommend!.

I bought the POCO Plus about three weeks ago and have taken every where we have been since, zoo, camping, all the trails we hike. This piece of equipment is amazing the durability is superb, the 210D against ebrasion is awesome I have rubbed against trees, rocks, and many other ebrasive materials with no tears and no sign of wear as of yet.

The sun shade is really good for sun, but really works well for protection against rain as well to keep the little one dry. The drool pad is at perfect angle so they candy there weary head to rest if need be.

The suspension system makes it comfortable for the carrier and for the rider make it almost like an anti-sway bar built in, any time I am going up hill, or around a tree, on rocks or the little one moves I don’t feel much movement at all.

The placement of the hydration compartment is perfect for both the carrier and the rider. All of the storage space makes it really nice for diapers, snacks, extra water, water shoes, and the side pockets and toy holders are a nice feature for phones and toys.

Having the aluminum frame make it really sturdy when you set it down with no issue, and makes the entire system really light. I will say after looking at the top brands Osprey, Kelly, and Deuter the Osprey Poco Plus is far superior in my opinion to those with the capability, capacity, and durability.

Also the hip belt pockets make perfect storage for the carrier and Jolly Ranchers plenty big for other items as well, something that is really nifty about this is the chest strap clip has a built in whistle which I thought was the coolest.

Again by far in my opinion superior craftsmanship.

We had originally bought the Thule Sapling child carrier and it REALLY did not fit well. It pinched our shoulders a lot and was painfully uncomfortable to the point we almost couldn’t carry our child in it.

We originally had no other choice as the poco plus was nowhere to be found until my sister spotted it on Altitude Sports. I was able to return the other pack we bought to the place we bought it and ordered the poco plus online.

It came within a few days. We tried it out right away and it is a huge upgrade from the Thule Sapling. The shoulder straps are more narrow and sit where they should – on the shoulders. The sunshade is fantastic, it packs away very simply and easily in its own designated pouch.

The stirrups for children to put their feet in are great. I like how this pack has a lot of storage space and many different pockets. It is very easy to adjust the pack for yourself or for your child and uses a system that doesn’t use Velcro (for the most part).

It has been way more comfortable for us and all of the features it has is awesome. The one thing though that is a very very minor draw back is that when you are hiking up an incline, the pack can sometimes touch the back of your head head but that’s such a small problem it’s almost not even a big deal.

For reference, we have carried our 7 month old 22 lb baby in it and our 35 lb 3 year old son on separate occasions. Our baby falls asleep in the carrier and our son has no complaints about it (his legs used to go numb in the Thule sapling).

All in all we are so impressed with this child carrier backpack and I would recommend it!!.

This pack works well for my husband and toddler. If you’re getting this pack and a man is the primary user and you need gear capacity (26 liters), this pack is great. As a cisgender woman wearing it, it has a lot of issues that make it incompatible for me: 1) The fit.

The torso is way too long. I’m 5’3, 130lbs. I’ve backpacked for 10+ years. This isn’t a user error adjustment issue. It’s just too long. When positioned correctly on the hip, the shoulder straps sit 2 inches off my shoulders, all the way tight.

The belt pinches my hips, which other AFAB reviewers have also noted. 2) That handle – when I wear my hair in the usual hiking pony in a baseball hat, pushes my whole head forward and down in a really uncomfortable way.

So hiking uphill is super uncomfortable bc I can’t look up without leaning backwards and that is just unnecessary neck & back pain just from pack design, not from weight or trail difficulty. On the flip side, for long hikes with climbing, this is the most comfortable option for my husband & toddler alike.

I also believe it’s the safest for my toddler. Those side clips are a pain to close but when they do, my kid is locked in, and the internal shoulder straps for her are snug but comfortable. This just isn’t a pack that works for women, imo.

If you want a GREAT pack for women, I’d recommend the Deuter Kid Comfort Active SL Child Carrier – Women’s. Less gear capacity (14 liters), but the only pack out there built for women. I hope more companies start offering packs designed specifically for women, the way Deuter has.

I do not recommend this product. I have watched every instruction video and follow the manual and I can not get it to look like the picture so whenever I’m wearing baby all I can think about is that her hips and back must not be sitting correctly.

I’ve tried so many times and every time I’ve tried it I have to wrap it multiple times before I’m happy to put her in and it still doesn’t seem comfortable. It’s also so hard to get baby in or out so there’s no way she’s sleeping through it.

Do not waste your money, if I had the money I’d be buying a different one from a different brand.

I just recently had my 3rd baby, my first two were born in the winter months, so my regular Moby wrap worked just fine. However, with this baby being born in june, i wanted something lightweight that i could carry him around in and not worry about him being uncomfortable or too hot.

This Wrap is Amazing! Its got just enough stretch that it holds baby in well without coming to loose, and the material is thin enough that my baby doesnt sweat while im wearing him! I definitely recommend this wrap, especially for those summer babies!.

Love my baby wraps but the material on this one is very thin. The width of the wrap also seems a little short compared to others. I still use it but I know as my baby gets bigger I’ll be using some of my wider wraps that work a little better.

Wrap is soft and the print is nice though!.

I love this hybrid carrier and use it every day with my 1 month old (and sometimes with my 20-month-old, too! I was very comfortable using this with my newborn. I followed the included instructions and fit her in perfectly on my first try.

I was concerned using the bolster would be difficult, as I’ve had difficulty using infant inserts with other carriers in the past, but it is no problem and actually quite easy. It’s incredibly comfortable and my little one will stay in it for hours, and I can keep a snug, comfortable fit the entire time.

She struggles to nap on her own, so I pop her in the carrier daily and she falls asleep almost immediately. I love keeping her close while still having my hands free to take care of my older 2 and get stuff done around the house.

I love the soft, stretchy fabric and the overall design of this carrier; I get the closeness of a wrap without all of the stress of figuring out how to get it on. Practically my entire wardrobe is gray, so the gray color of this carrier was perfect.

I loved the sportier style of this wrap, thanks to the mesh and athletic type fabric, it fit perfectly with my low maintenance style of leggings, joggers, or jeans. As an added bonus, this will also carry my 20-month-old (who is small for her age).

She insists on being in it like the baby, so I carry her in it from time to time as well. My husband also uses this carrier, and really likes that it helps make it easier for him to get some quality snuggle time with the baby.

A few drop backs to this carrier are the long straps and the fact that it can’t be folded down really compact and doesn’t come with a carrying case. I’m quite petite, 5’, and while I love that I can actually get a good fit with this carrier, the straps are super long and tend to get in the way sometimes.

I also wish it could fold down more compact and had a carrying case (possibly built in, somehow) to make it easier to to take on the go. Shorter straps would make it more compact, so that would solve both of my problems! I’m really impressed with this carrier and think Boppy has added an amazing product to this area of baby wear.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this awesome newborn carrier! I was thrilled to try a new to the market carrier as I have a 2 month old that I am trying to “baby wear” a bit more and he doesn’t love the two I already have.

My first impression on the packaging was that it was minimalist and I loved the strip of material incorporated so you can feel the material of the carrier before you even open the box. Once opened I was able to easily unfold the carrier and get started! The directions are simple to follow and there is a video I watched for extra help.

Even though the directions are easy to follow there is definitely a learning curve to be able to get the wrap part of the carrier down pat; I had to try plenty of times to get it right but I finally did.

The carrier wears very well and the material is very soft and feels high quality. I do love that the carrier has tank top like straps for the shoulders because it makes it more comfortable to wear than other wrap like carriers.

My baby weighs about 12 pounds and I could carry him around for an hour around the house with no problem. I haven’t carried him for much longer than that as I’ve used this carrier to mainly get things done around the house or to take the dog for a quick walk around the block.

My mom also tried the carrier out to go walking outside and she thought it was very comfortable as well and she said the carrier was very secure which is also super important! As for the style, I liked the minimalist design and the mesh panel which is unique in my mind and that is one of my favorite features of the carrier.

I also love that it makes my baby feel super close to me which is always great! I received the frost color and it’s a perfect neutral light gray which matches almost everything. I also appreciate that there are not a bunch of buckles or straps to mess with or look at.

The minimalist style makes it not bulky which is my style. I did not use the bolster yet but it’s not even as bulky as I expected. One complaint I have about the carrier is that I wish it was easier to adjust as I found it hard to make a quick adjustment when needed and at times had to completely re-do the process which is just inconvenient, especially if baby is sleeping.

Overall I am very pleased with this carrier and luckily my baby is enjoying it too! If you are looking for a sleek carrier that you can wear comfortably then this newborn carrier is for you!.

Thank you to the Stellar Parent Panel for gifting us this great newborn carrier! With four kids, we have tried many different variations and styles of baby carriers. As soon as I opened the Boppy ComfyHug Hybrid carrier, I was intrigued and excited by the design and fabric.

The material is very stretchy, soft and feels like high quality athletic wear or yoga pants. The ComfyHug feels like the merging of two of my favorite carriers, soft structured and mei tei. Both styles of carriers have their pros and cons and I’ve used both during different seasons of a baby’s growth.

One of the pain points I’ve found with wrap, sling or mei tei style carriers is that when a baby is little you have to really hold her with one hand while using the other hand to wrap and secure all of the long fabric pulls.

What I LOVE about the ComfyHug is the tank top style seat that holds baby to my chest while I am able to use BOTH arms to wrap the fabric around me for a secure fit. My husband and I were both able to use this carrier with our three month old and found it very easy to put on and take off.

He is tall and lanky and I am over average height and build. As soon as we each put on the ComfyHug we commented on how comfortable it felt and that we appreciated it isn’t bulky and awkward but sleek and simple.

We mostly used this carrier for doing stuff around the house or calming our fussy baby when she was tired. After about a half hour of walking around and doing light housework (dishes, putting things away) we both noted that our shoulders started to hurt with the weight of our baby.

We have been adjusting the fit and trying to find the right way to each wear for our body types. But at this point, after multiple times wearing the ComfyHug, I would not choose to use this carrier for longer walks or out of the house.

It is a great way to keep baby close and have my hands free for short spurts but I truly wish it felt more comfortable for longer.

Right out of the box, so easy to figure out. I bought the Omni Pro 360 and hate it. So if you are wondering if the cost of this carrier is too inexpensive, trust this first time mama, that this carrier is the most comfortable and easy to use.

My 6 month old loves both forward and facing in positions. I don’t like that forward facing doesn’t have the recommended hip placement, but I’ll just make sure to wear her for shorter times in that position.

Quick grocery store visits are best. My back and shoulders felt so supported. I’m absolutely shocked because other carriers cost so much more!.

My husband and I needed to run errands and left the house with our baby. When we got to the store, we realized we forgot to bring the stroller with us so we ran into Target and bought the cheapest baby carrier we could find.

The baby seemed to like it and it was comfortable for me. Upon leaving one of the stores, something slippery was on the floor and I slipped falling face first to the ground. Luckily I caught myself before my baby hit the ground but she was safe and snug in the carrier the whole time.

She didn’t have a single scratch ch on her! My baby is a little over 20 lbs and this carrier kept her buckled in and safe. I am so great full for the sturdiness and safety it offered!.

I love my Evenflo Breath Carrier Marianna! I wish I had this with my other kiddos. It is perfect if you are on the go like I am. I am always either running errands, dropping off my other kids at games, making dinner, or doing work and this is perfect to keep my baby right next to me and she loves it too! It’s has two carrying positions forward facing and back facing.

The forward facing is perfect when they can’t hold their little heads up that well-there is a nice soft backing and I love that they have more mommy or daddy contact forward facing too! As they get older you can have them face out and my baby girl loves it because she can see everything I am doing.

The carrier is machine washable and comes with an removable bib in the front. I love the extra padding in the shoulder for us parents, it keeps my shoulders from hurting and allows me to carrier my daughter for longer periods of time.

The crisscrossing also saves my back. The side buckle is such a lifesaver as well. Perfect quick way to get your baby out if he or she messes him or herself without having to take the carrier off. This is a great carrier and I love it! It was worth it and I would buy it over and over again.

I really wanted to love this, and I do use it. but not as often as I was hoping. While the directions for tying at pretty good, it’s just a tricky maneuver. The length of fabric is overwhelming and I feel like I’m flying a kite in parking lots when I whip it out… I’m average to small in the waist and I use most all the fabric…and my baby’s still small.

The fabric is also pretty thick, which makes it strong (yay!) and it does feel secure on, but also toasty for baby, I often just worry about him being too warm. i don’t know if I can’t attribute this to the specific product or the entire “wrap” concept.

While I like them aesthetically so much more, I have to admit, practically speaking, I prefer my “backpack” style carrier.

I use this every single day as I have a little hobby farm. Little one happily sits in it while I feed the animals and do a little clean up. Very easy to use, I looked up videos on how to properly wrap up baby on Pinterest, and I love the different ways to style it! It is also very fashionable, and have gotten so many compliments and questions about it when I’m out and about! I love this trendy pattern! It’s gender neutral too, so I can use it for any baby down the road.

I love this wrap!!!! I have been using this around the house when I need to keep my baby close, she falls asleep so fast in it or if she isn’t tired she is so content in the wrap and it’s great for skin to skin time on the move too.

It’s super easy to use! The only disadvantage is that the material is pretty thick when bunched up so it is hard for me to nurse her if I am still wearing the wrap, so there is a lot of undoing it, nursing, and then tying it up again after but I’m a new mom so maybe I just need to figure out the right angles for breastfeeding while wearing it! But this has totally saved me and been perfect for my baby who loves being held all the time!.

We tried so many baby carriers of different types, but this is by far the best! It is so comfortable on my hips and shoulders! We also have a Deuter carrier for hiking, but since we bought this Tula Toddler, we stopped using it because the Tula is much more comfortable for both of us.

We used to have Baby Björn one, but that was a very disappointing product. I am so glad we’ve found Baby Tula, and I’m so happy that I can still carry my toddler son! He is 13 kg and 22 months old, and from the first second we tried it, he absolutely loved it.

We used it every day during our one-week holiday in Lisbon, and I had no pain at all despite the that I wore it during long walks up and down the hills and stairs. I am so satisfied. And let me point out the wonderful customer service.

I really love this carrier, but it doesn’t get five stars because it’s not super easy to get on with the toddler. Our baby version of a carrier has a clip from the “seat” part to the shoulder part so that you can put the child in and then put in on, or have someone else put the child in while you’re wearing it.

It’s just a bit difficult to get on. We have to have my daughter stand up and i put it around her and then try and buckle the hip clips through her legs while she’s still standing. Maybe there’s a trick Im missing? Either way, once the carrier is on it’s really great! I’m 5’4 and can easily carry my 100cm 3 31/2 year old for awhile.

We use it for quick weekend trips when we don’t want to bring the pram and it’s really been a nice addition to our lazy toddler vehicle collection. 😂.

To me the toddler carrier is the best investment. My one year old loves it so much. Also I use it a lot when my son just wants to cuddle but I need to do things at home. It is great when shopping. I find it annoying when people just come up to my son and try to be all in my son space.

It is super annoying to tell people “hi can you please back up”. Some won’t even move back. So when I have the carrier it is harder for them to come up. I get left alone more often since my son is so close to me.

As well I know for some parents it may seem like it is not worth the purchase because the child might be heavy. But trust me the carrier is great for big kids. It doesn’t hurt your back at all. If placed correctly you can usually wear it for a good while.

We purchased our Omni 360 carrier when we were expecting our first child, in addition to a stretchy fabric wrap I thought it would be a practical option for my husband (who was less likely to go for the stretch wrap).

Initially I thought I was being a bit luxe and maybe it was a bit extravagant. Friends who also have one rated them highly, this supported out decision to purchase. What I liked about this carrier was the age/size range that it catered for (quite wide) and that it didn’t require an additional newborn insert – so while expensive, it would see us through a good period of time.

The carrier proved to be a practical option for walking along the beach with a newborn – my husband was able to carry our baby, and we didn’t need to worry about sand and our pram. I enjoyed the Omni 360 for our newborn as it was easier for me to get on and off, and a more seamless transfer of a sleeping babe – for context, I am on the shorter side.

As our daughter has grown, she is now 17 months, I have found it a great option for doing the groceries (especially during these covid times) as I haven’t needed to put her into a shopping trolley, she has a great view of what we are doing and can participate.

More recently it has been a great option for fruit picking and allowing her to participate in the process. For us, this has been a great investment piece which we have utilised in conjunction with our pram, it allows us to do things hands free while still including our daughter.

Fairly solidly made but not particularly well designed. There’s no way to adjust for torso length and the one-size-fits-all approach creates a really disappointing product. I’m 5’9 1/2″, not a particularly tall guy, and have to have the “hip” belt way up around my mid section to keep my baby at the recommended carry height.

It just slides down as we walk since there is no hip supporting it and also keeps the carrier from distributing the baby’s weight well. The padded section of the straps is also very short. I get it. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind.

I have broader shoulders and some muscle and the padded section of the straps only goes an inch or two down my back, leaving only the webbing for back straps, neither comfortable nor particularly secure.

The straps that adjust the length of the shoulder belt are also the only straps that adjust tightness on baby. Basically I have to cinch the hip belt as tight as possible around the bottom of my rib cage for proper ride height and then cinch the shoulder belts only as tight as I dare, being mindful not to draw them too tightly for baby, and then just sort of keep hitching my son up as we walk.

I’d bought the harness in hopes of also using it for light, low impact activity like snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but that is totally out of the question. I was also very disappointed to find out shipping on returns was at the buyer’s expense.

That’s not particularly indicative of a company that stands by its products. Bottom line is this could have been a solid carrier with another piece of fabric between baby and adult with baby security adjustment straps separate from the shoulder adjustment height straps and a simple Velcro-closing height adjustment strip for the hip belt.

Without those, it’s really just not appropriately constructed for men, taller women, anybody with a little more body mass, etc. Construction is sturdy, hence 2 stars instead of 1.

We are really pleased with this baby carrier. I was hesitant to buy it due to the high price, as we already have a sling we had been using successfully. However we wanted one where the baby can face forwards safely, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Baby loves it, it’s also much more comfortable than my other sling due to the padded waist strap giving lots of support. It’s comfortable both outward and inward facing and I use it most days now. There is a handy zipped pocket which is great because I can’t access my jacket pockets once the sling is on.

The strap across the back was tricky to reach at first but as long as I make sure I really loosen off the shoulder straps, then I can reach it and fasten it easily enough. It’s really quick and simple to put on.

I recommend it, but it is expensive.

The Lascal M1 Carrier™ is really is the one and only carrier you’ll ever need. My wife and I have a lot of different types of carriers; a sling, a forward facing carrier and a back carrier. Neither of us could find one carrier that was comfortable for both of us in all of the positions.

The M1 is THE carrier that has it all. It is adjustable, padded, comfortable and made very well. We use this for both small baby and toddler. There are so many features, but my favorite are: • It has a sporty look • Ventilated and soft fabric • Keeps baby’s hips and spine fully supported • Wide padded straps/belts – easier on my back • Pull out weather shield to protect baby from wind/sun/rain • All 3 carrying positions The straps can be rolled so when my wife is using it they aren’t hanging far down and in the way.

I also have to mention that this carrier is easy to put on and take off. There have been times with other carriers that I just could not figure out for the life of me and ended in a tangled mess on the floor.

I don’t have anything negative to say about the M1 carrier.

This is a great carrier. My 5 week old wants to be held constantly – she doesn’t like the wrap carriers so I’m glad we put this on our register because she loves the Lascal! It’s very comfortable and you will get lots of use out of this carrier.

Highly recommend.

Very impressed with the m1 Carrier I purchased It is very well constructed, designed for comfort and easy to care for. I can easily carry it with one hand and operate the belt buckles with the other–one of my favorite features! The three carrying positions the m1 offers is another great feature I really like, also.

The shoulder straps and the wide waist belt with built in back support are padded and comfy, and the M position infant seat supports baby and helps distribute weight evenly. I find it all provides a really comfortable experience for the both of us and keeps the baby close and safe at all times.

We are a Nuna family! After 2 kids buying various other brands, when we got pregnant with no. 3, we re-bought a pushchair, car seats, high chair, swing chair- all of which are Nuna! We absolutely love the brand, they have thought of pretty much everything!! This carrier is no exception.

We now have a 4th addition to our family, and with 2 under 2’s this was a must have! It feels so luxurious- padded and soft, really comfortable to wear and surprisingly lightweight. Baby is nicely snuggled in it.

Having read various reviews on other websites I was slightly cautious as some had mentioned how wide baby’s legs are when in it… I finally figured out there’s actually an adjustable bit there too, so you can pull it right in for smaller babies & make it bigger as they grow! The magnets are amazing, as with all the other ones on Nuna… such a clever idea! Little things amaze me the most like the extra support for baby’s head when asleep, the hood for bad weather, the extra dribble bib bits to attach when the other is in the wash and the bag it all comes packed in so you can easily keep it in the car ready to use when you need it.

I couldn’t really expect anything more or fault it. This is going to get a lot of use… if only Nuna was around 10years ago!.

Myself and my husband both found this carrier an excellent way to easily pop out with our baby. The newborn insert is great, and I love the easy, magnetic fastners. On receiving the carrier I didn’t find the manual all that easy to follow.

It was all in pictures, but we ended up searching for YouTube vids to sort it instead. We also ended up swapping from new born insert to using the main carrier before its recommended weight because we found our baby’s head wasn’t being supported well enough.

The carrier feels really safe and the fabric is easy to wipe clean. Our baby is just about ready to try it forward facing and I’m looking forward to that!.

Baby carriers really worried me, in fact I was pretty anti them for my babies first few months. We tried on the baby slings and I found it really anxiety inducing; are her hips, legs, arms, head etc in the right place.

I was constantly worried and couldn’t relax and enjoy our walks. This baby carrier is amazing! I know that it is structured to ensure my babies hips and legs will always be in the right place at all times.

The quality feels really nice but also feels good value for money because this carrier is suitable from birth and until they can walk. A lot of the other carriers are £100 but only last until about 6 months.
