20 Best Carrot Seed Oil (2022 Updated)

So I have combination skin that runs on the dry side. My face likes oils. A lot. But my face really loves Naturopathica’s Carrot Seed Soothing Facial Oil. It’s perfect for every day use, but when my skin is lacking or I have just done an exfoliating treatment then this oil is definitely what is needed.

It calms and soothes. It smells amazing and like all Naturopathica products, it is made with nothing but the good stuff. No nasty harsh chemicals. 100% clean beauty. I will never switch back to the expensive “professional” brands.

Since I started using Naturopathica, my skin tone has evened out, my skin is more hydrated, I hardly ever have a breakout – even hormonal breakouts seem to be squashed by Naturopathica. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I’ve been struggling with skin so dry and sensitive, if I rubbed my face, dry skin would flake off (sorry for TMI!). My girlfriend suggested I try Naturepathica and after reading up on all of the products, purchased two of the “final farewell” sized Carrot Seed Oils along with the Vitamin C lotion.

I’ve only had these for a few weeks but the redness is gone and my skin feels soft and resilient again. I think a full-sized Carrot Seed Oil was offered as a gift with purchase recently and I regret not taking advantage! I loved the immediate results so much I already added the Plant Cell serum and Cherry Enzyme peel to the collection.

Working from home, I haven’t been putting a ton of time into makeup but with these products, I feel like a new person and realize I forgot what a difference feeling good about your appearance could make.

I have been using this oil for about 4 months daily on my face, neck, and nails. My face looks younger, brighter and smoother. My nails are longer and stronger. I recommend this product 100%. One drop goes a long way.

2 bottles have lasted me 4 months and I use it daily. I absolutely love it. Other reviews mention a foul smell, don’t let that stop you! If you use it daily, you will notice a dramatic difference. Finally, I used this oil on a rash I had on my leg, and saw improvement the next day.

Love love this product!! Not only is carrot oil by far so great for your skin, it will help with so many other skin conditions you may have!! This is my go-to product after I do a chemical peel on my face.

It helps restore, nourish, hydrate etc. I understand it smells bad like the previous reviews, but that is not a bad thing b/c it’s a more of a natural product. It’s much better than putting great smell on your skin that has chemicals in it that is doing nothing to nourish your skin.

As an esthetician this is a product I highly recommend.

Like a previous reviewer said, this oil is smelly. However, it isn’t rancid–carrot seed oil just has a strong, unpleasant smell, not unlike neem oil. I cover it up by adding a few drops of pettigrain essential oil, which somehow complements the smell of the carrot seed oil.

The oil is thick and nourishing, but don’t buy it expecting a neutral smelling oil.

I used to absolutely hate tea tree oil because of the scent but I will say that it has definitely grown on me and I actually even kind of enjoy the smell of it now. I use tea tree oil (along with a few other essential oils) mixed with water as a bug repellent in the spring and summer and it works really well when sprayed on windowsills, inside and outside of doors and windows etc **HOWEVER**.

my main use and my favorite use for this oil is using it to steam my face. I boil a large pot of water on the stove and then I add about 10 drops of tea tree oil along with a few others (lavender, peppermint eucalyptus, rose and sometimes a tiny bit of frankincense), then I bring it to my bathroom, set it on the floor, sit on the floor and drape a towel over my head and around the pot and breathe deeply and slowly, kind of like a meditation for at least 5 mins but I try and aim for 10.

OH EM GEE let me tell y’all, on nights when I do this (after cleansing, exfoliating and toning but before everything else in my skincare routine I cannot stop touching my face. Even the whole next day my face feels like silk.

Not only that but it also makes it look amazing and feel so incredibly fresh and clean. I try to do this once a week but if I had the time and the patience I would do it every single night. It’s just so good for the skin and the steam opens the pores making it super easy for the skin to truly absorb the serums, treatments and moisturizers I use afterwards.

Great and strong. I put a couple drops in a spray bottle with water and some drops of jasmine oil or lavender oil to smell good, and I use it when I go outside to work in the garden. It is supposed to keep the bugs away from you Unfortunately nosy neighbors will be attrracted too.

My great grandmother and my mother used this too and being a grandmother myself, I follow the tradition. But watch your eyes and be careful if you get some on your fingers and rub your lips and your eyes.

It stings like mad. Back in the day, when dinosaurs ruled the earth, they put a drop on your pillow when we had a cold. I am not a scientist so I cannot say if this is a good reason or not. No explanation was given to us.

But eucalyptus oil was always used in my family. Watch out, its potent and have to be diluted. I would not put it directly on your skin either. I am pretty sure it would burn. Not for drinking or eating either.

Awesome product! The natural smell of Patchouli is recognized by the many people I come in contact with on a daily basis. They always ask me” What is that wonderful smell I smell every time I’m near you”? ESPECIALLY women.

Every woman I get near is taken back by the fragrance of Patchouli. Patchouli is an aphrodisiac. And 2 little drops rubbed into my body gets me through the day. It feeds my AURORA and PERSONALITY. GREAT STUFF.

AND VERY AFFORDABLE AS TWO LITTLE DROPS GO A LONG WAY.

Very good. Scents do vary. The peppermint supreme is way better than the regular. Smells like peppermint pattie candy. The French lavender smells more herb like and the regular is more floral. Grapefruit and lemon are awesome.

Bergamots and Lemohrass are also pretty good.

I like to put a dab of carrot oil with a carrier oil or my body moisturizer when I want a little extra. There is a smell which is earthy and natural, it’s not a bad smell at all. The concern associated with carrot seed oil, should not concern the smell of it anyway.

If that’s a big thing for you, get a watered down version of some moisturizer with the carrot seed oil or mock carrot seed oil added to it. This stuff is good.

Shea Terra Products are top notch! This carrot seed oil is rich and the strong smell tells you that you are getting an authentic carrot oil. Many carrot seed oils on the market are not authentic. Extremely happy with this product.

I like this oil because it is not greasy and soaks well into the skin to give it the right level of moisture and leaves a beautiful glow.

Egyptian Carrot Seed Oil by Shea Terra Organics helped to keep my skin soft and face soft and healthy. I use it with coconut oil or olive oil but It works well alone as well. Does not seem to work internally when I added a few drops into my drinking water.

Carrot Seed is a unique oil. It almost at once has a powerful sense of earthy warmth in its aroma. It smells likes a rack of vegetables spices. Carrot seed is good with only a drop or two since it has a powerful scent that could overpower blends if overused.

This is an oil that’s best suited in creams, lotions or other products of which it has wonderful value. I recommend this oil for more experienced users. Its unusual aroma may be too pungently different for some, but for those of us who know this world inside and out, Carrot Seed makes a nice addition to your collection!.

I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but love it for my skincare! I always add it to my serums and masks – and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in texture and see a healthier glow. Carrot Seed Essential Oil seems to be on everyone’s must have list for dry, damaged, and “mature” skin.

with good reason. It works! It also has a reputation for being a natural sunscreen. personally, I still use my sunscreen daily. I always have this one in my supply. I don’t care care what kind of smell it has.

If I want to be sure I’m buying a real essential oil Plant Therapy is my #1 go to & the first company I felt confident in buying from. It’s not easy especially when new to tell the real from the fake theres a lot of people out there making a lot of claims & many of them are not real.

After a lot of research I found Plant Therapy meets all the criteria that the experts say to look for. It’s also one of the most reasonably priced EO company. you’ll find oils for cheaper but theres usually a reason they are & It’s not a good one! you’ll also find theres a lot of companies especial multi level marketing companies that sell for a LOT more and they are NOT a lot better.

PT has a good prices a large selection staff that actually answer questions free shipping & hassle free returns whether you buy through Amazon (as I started out) or buy direct (& earn points which turn into $$ off ).

I also buy my carrier oils primarily from PT too. For the same reasons I can trust I’m getting what I’m buying. I got this carrot oil to use in a face oil I’m using to help my elderly mom’s face. In conjunction with other oils her moles & skin tag/growths have shown marked improvement.

Some were crusting & cracking & now they are almost flush to her face have faded a little & the red patches on her cheeks are half gone too. I’m hoping more time will continue to improve the reduction of the redness on the rest of her cheeks & nose.

It isn’t the best smelling oil It’s not one I’d say oooh I MUST diffuse this – though I may start adding it w/coriander & citrus delight to see if it enhances her appetite more than just the later 2 as I read It’s good for digestion.

It’s doesn’t smell horrible like Tea Tree or Helichrysum (those smell awful to me at least) but I wouldn’t add it to a perfume blend It’s a practical EO rather than an aromatic one in my opinion so far.

I also have Blue Tansy Rose Neroli Jasmine Frankincense & Sandalwood in my mix so the Carrot seed oil doesn’t even stand out. From everything I’ve read It’s a must have for a good face oil for aging skin (or keeping younger skin looking young) & so far I’ve had success with the mix I’ve used.

I bought another larger bottle when they had it as the focus oil of the week at 15% off. Now I have to look into what else it can do as I’m sure It’s got a lot more uses. Buy with confidence when you buy Plant Therapy.

This vetiver oil is extraordinary. At first I couldn’t smell anything. No oil appeared to be coming out of the bottle, so I pulled out the plastic drip feed thing (no idea of the technical name!) and saw the oil inside, which appeared to be a golden colour.

It is a thick oil which is why it takes time to drip through. It also takes time to spread the beautiful aroma into the atmosphere. I was really surprised by the lovely warm feeling of the smell, once I had dripped some onto my hand.

It creates the atmosphere of being in a wood, an enchanted wood. Love this oil.

Frankincense has a mythic status due to its use by ancient sages and obviously as one of the gifts brought by the magi in the Bible. A star following oil! I use it as a perfume and as a mood changer.

After a tiresome day at work this frankincense puts me in a hopeful mood. All the Tisserand oils seem exceptional to me. Clearly they have been produced with care and attention.

I ordered the carrot seed oil on the buy any oil get mystery oil free! I love the smell of the oil. I’m hoping it will make a noticeable difference in my complexion. Disappointed that the bottle was not as full as usual, a bit below the shoulder of bottle! Also, was not really happy with the mystery oil, it was a blend and I typically buy singles and was hoping for such.

Anyway, can’t wait to see what the carrot does for my skin.

Very happy with the carrot seed oil. Using a 1:1 ratio of carrot seed and primrose oil on my face. My husband noticed how healthy my face looks. So glad I got this. I go for walks and want a sunscreen protection and thankful the carrot seed provides this.

Love it. I use it daily on my face I have noticed fine lines have disappeared and even not so fine lines. gone! My skin is also lighter. This does have a strong smell. Some people hate it and tell me so.

Others love it and ask me where to get it. I work outside all day everyday no matter the weather and this is what I use mainly to protect my face. again, I love it!.

The smell is spicy, earthy, but a little harsh. It’s more pleasant when blending with other essential oils. The two recipes on the PR website for this oil are great. I really like both mixtures. Although it’s too soon to tell about other benefits of this oil, I recommend it.

Originally bought this to make sunscreen. I also gave some to my sister. I work outdoors year round and use this oil daily. I have noticed a change in my skin. it is now younger looking. Even my sister asks for more, her husband won’t stop using her “sunscreen”.

I even made some for my mother. Yes, the smell is bad but does go away.

I originally got this oil in the hope it would work well for pain relief and it has performed very well. I just used this on a neck/headache type pain and almost immediately it starts to work. I have used it repeatedly with the same results.

I will purchase more when needed. What I did not expect was the smell of this oil. Of course it smells like tumeric, but much more complex and pleasant. It has a spicy, woody, buttery smell with a sweetness that feels like cinnamon or cardamon.

Its scent also is long lasting. not delicate. it IS a strong scent so needs only little to make its presence known! It does have a yellow cast to the oil, but not the deep staining yellow of the powder.

For many years, I’ve loved the smell of turmeric. Every time I would make Indian food, I would always take an extra sniff from the spice jar after using it. Then, after being diagnosed with rheumatoid disease, I began to notice people talking about taking turmeric for pain.

So, I bought this oil for the sheer pleasure of smelling it and also, for its potential to help with pain. I made the liniment as described above but substituted ginger for the rosemary. As someone who carries around NSAIDs and Voltaren gel regularly, I was amazed at how well this worked.

In most situations, I would say it works just as well as the pain relieving gel and it smells 100% better. Of course, I still take my big gun meds but having this on hand to roll over various painful spots is fantastic.

I was aware that carrot seed essential oil was a bit pungent, but I had no idea how bad it was until my purchase. Despite the smell, it is FANTASTIC for skincare. I’ve been using it for a week in combination with Rose Hip Oil, Pomegranate Oil, and Age-defy all mixed together.

A large acne spot is fading nicely and my skin looks better than when I was using expensive creams and potions. For the benefits provided I’m willing to accept the smell. Afterall, it is a natural product and I would much rather use natural versus something created in a lab that will later be found to be hazardous!.

I have been trying to purchase the C. O. Bigelow Lemon EDP, but it is no longer available from Bath & Body Works. When I found THIS oil from them, I was ecstatic. I will use the essential oil in lieu of the EDP, and I will probably smell better, longer! I also use a diffuser, so my home smells lemony-fresh.

I love essential oils, and particularly with fir needle, it has so many health benefits by just using it regularly. Essential oils can be pricey, but the benefit outdoes the price! For achey muscles, antiseptic, even helps detox the body, or speed up metabolism.

Even just as a scent, it smells wonderfully and is very potent. It is definitely something I keep in my medicine cabinet at home.

I cant say enough about jojoba oil. Its great for everything. Use it as a skin, nails, hair moisturizer, or as a carrier oil to use with other essential oils. This oil is unscented so it doesnt interfere with any fragrance you wear.

These are perfectly scented – not too much/not too little. I’ve used it on myself, in my diffuser, in my shea butter for my hair, in my small garbage cans through out the house, in my solid air fresheners, just about everywhere.

As a matter of fact, just before my son came to visit yesterday, I made sure to hide them. I gave him some oils months ago, still didn’t finish them, and still wanted some of my new Essential Oil Set-14 Pack.

I think not. I’ve never purchased an essential oit set that I liked every last one of them. But these are very exceptional. I will definitely purchase more – before they run out, since I bet they will.

I was looking for a thieves oil blend that didn’t cost a fortune. I found Four Gurus and figured I’d give it a try. I absolutely LOVE it. A tiny fraction of the price of what other companies charge with all of the antiviral & antimicrobial benefits of this blend that originated in the 14th century.

This new formulation and renaming of “4 Thieves” is very disappointing. I bought a double order for a discount on one of the 2 bottles because I had so liked the other order I had from them. It’s an overwhelming cinnamon & cloves scent, not at all what the original fragrance was.

I can’t use it in any form. I’ve added other scents to try to improve it but it is too strong to be influenced by another scent.

I am extremely attached to Neroli oil. I first purchased it from Osadhi website two years ago and have been using it every since, however, I now found it here for a much better price. I am very thankful because now I can use it much more.

The aromatherpy effects have really helped with my anxiety. I also use it for my skin to help reduce my inflammation I get. I use typically tea tree oil and rosehip oil but the Neroli oil has given me an extra boost in positive results.

I think anyone who is seeking a powerful aroma oil would fall in love with this one.

First of all, Oshadhi oils are the Mercedes-Benz of essential oils: super high quality German made, and they are available in many singles and a huge number of synergy blends. “Spirit” is floral with a kind of sharpness (probably from the Leptospermum, a type of flowering myrtle, related to tea tree).

It is nice to use in a diffuser, and quite relaxing; I would guess that the leptospermum probably is great at killing a few bacteria and viruses, as well, if it is anything like its relatives. That said, it is a tad bit medicinal to my taste; would definitely purchase other Oshadhi Synergy Blends again, but probably not this one.

I put a few drops of this in my humidifier each morning to help get me up and get me going. Overall, I like the product. I am not a huge fan of the smell, but it’s fine and in no way a bad smell. The product lasts for a while and is on par with price.

If your love essential oils then you should give this a try.

I had originally bought another essential oil from this maker. I ordered this just because I liked the other oil so much, and I wanted to try the Lavender essential oil to see what it was like. I absolutely LOVE it.

The fragrance is very subtle but lovely. I like that it’s not over powering. I use it to freshen up my room as an air freshener by putting a couple of drops on a cotton pad and setting it on my dresser, table, or bathroom sink.

I put a couple of drops on my floor wipes too when I clean the floor. I like to use it as an air freshener, because I feel like the scent helps my dogs relax (and helps me relax too :)). On the bottle it says ‘Origin:France’ and ‘100%pure Lavender essential oil’.

I can say that comparing this to the actual lavender flowers I bought in person from Provence France, that the scent is almost if not exactly identical. I feel like this is a great quality product, and a good price.

The only downside is that it’s only 5ml ! I find myself using it a lot 🙂 So, next time I will get a bigger bottle !.

Pure rose oil is hard to come by. From reading up on it,, it is costly to extract from rose petals,, so most are diluted with a lot of other oils (or just a carrier oil) but I tried this anyway and the scent from my diffuser is absolutely heavenly.

If it cost a little less, say $29. 99, I’d have given 5 stars.

I found the scent of santalum spicatum (australian sandlewood) to have a more sweeter scent as opposed to indian sandalwood (tantalum album) which to me smelled like wood from a pencil. The scent was reminiscent of the sandalwood scent found in some chinese soaps.

This sandalwood also blended well with floral and citrus groups without being too overpowering.
