20 Best Carseat For Plane (2022 Updated)

Honestly, this is about the 4th car seat that my family has been through. I have a son that is prone to carsickness, and a daughter that needed to get out of her bucket seat. This car seat is the best one that we have ever bought! My 15 month old looks 100% more comfortable riding in this one than any of the other brands.

We tried Evenflo, Safety 1st, and even other Graco’s, but this one is the best. The directions were easier to follow, installation was a breeze with the only thing that needed adjusting was the head rest and just changing the recline.

By far, the easiest car seat I have installed. Would definitely recommend in the future!.

As a child passenger safety technician and a nanny who has 2 of these car seats installed in my car right now, I can’t truly say I love them! I have one on each outboard seat in the 2 row. I still have room to have someone seat in the middle comfortably.

My favorite feature is the roaring cup holders. If you want more space you can turn them in. One downside is that there is only one recline for forward facing with the harness. The other recline for forward facing is for booster mode only.

It is easy to take apart and clean which I have done a few times already. The fabric is machine washable with gentle detergent and must be air dried which doesn’t take long.

Several years ago when I purchased my first convertable carseat, I agonized between in my decision between this and the Nuna Rava. I wanted the top of the line, safest car seat that would let my little ones rear-face up to 50lbs.

Foonf seemed to be the *best* when it came to safety, with Nuna a close second. Years ago, I chose Nuna because the reviews claimed easy set-up–and they were right. I now have 2 Nunas that take about 5 min to go from the box to installation.

Ease of set-up and installation is important: every step along the way is an opportunity for the user to get something wrong that could compromise safety. Fast foward a few years and we now think we’ll need to fit 3 car seats across and my understanding is Clek fits 3 acrpss better than Nuna and, to be honest, was excited to get the safest “tank” out there.

After installation and one week of use, I’m now deeply regretting the decision. The Foonf has a multi-step set-up process that requires too many tools, disassembling and reassembling, and too many opportunities for user error.

It took me over an hour to get it from the box to the carseat and I was second guessing myself every step of the way (and this from someone who loves setting up Ikea furniture). After all of those steps, I just don’t feel confident it is installed safely.

Of particular frustration–one side of the hedrest doesn’t lock in place and the seat belt lock-offs were extremely difficult to close and I’m not confident they are fully locked. I am absolutely dreading having to remove and reinstall the carseat when I need to clean it or adjust the harness.

I have had this installed for 5 days and on a day-to-day basis, it takes me way too long to get my toddler out of the car seat. The release button to loosen the harness is hard to locate and difficult to reach.

Every time I use it, I still have to try several times to find the release button and dhave to basically climb onto my toddler to get my finger in there far enough to release it. Finally, my toddler doesn’t like it.

On the plus side, she seems to have more leg room–the sides are low so she can swing her legs over the sides to stretch them. But, she complains every time that she is uncomfortable–and that’s on a 10 min drive to school.

I can’t imagine how she’ll feel when we drive for an hour or more. I agree saftey is the number one priority, but it doesn’t have to be a tradeoff between safety and comfort (as Nuna has proven). So disappointed in my experience with this “top of the line” car seat and wish I could return it.

I certainly wouldn’t recommend it and can’t imagine buying another.

Anyone with children knows the importance of being able to easily clean a car seat. This one is seemingly impossible. While the Crypton fabric is wipable for things like sippy cup or snack spills, but when it comes to ***** this carseat is a nightmare to try to clean.

***** easily gets between seams and creases in fabric and soaks the cover as well as the foam pad underneath. You can take teh fabric off of the seat cover but to remove fabric from the rest of teh carseat, you have to completely dissemble it.

I mean using a screwdriver to take apart teh frame and remove the fabric. I’ve had to remove car seat covers dozens of times from other seats to clean up ***** and its easy peasy. Its a joke what a nightmare it is to try to dissemble and reassemble this car seat just to get it clean.

A completely non-parent friendly design. I can’t recommend this car seat to anyone.

I hate putting my grandson in this tight contraption almost as much as he hates being put into it. He is small for his age and the straps are tight around his small frame. They cut into his shoulders, waist and between his legs.

I’ve searched for ways to loosen the straps further to no avail. Please note, I am a retired engineer. I can take this seat apart and reassemble it. But I cannot make it more comfortable for my grandchild.

I’m told told it seats children up to 35 pounds. I don’t see how. It pains me to seat my grandchild in it as he cries when I try to put him in it, when the seat is already in the car. Instead, I out the seat in the ground outside the car strap him in, then lift the extremely heavy seat into the car.

Mire expensive dies not always mean more. It’s a lesson the young take a long tome to learn. This grandma will hut her own car seat that is easier to manage an doesn’t put baby in a vice grip.

Absolutely adore our Uppababy Mesa! Our son arrived early and was very tiny. We never had any issue with sizing. He fit right in from day one. The car seat itself is pretty light in comparison to other brands and is very durable.

It is soooo easy to wipe clean and is adaptable to most stroller systems. We opted to buy the adapters for the older Uppababy stroller system and it works great! I love the seat base feature and how simple it is to use.

For the seat base you remove the seat using the lever on the back and for the stroller the button on the top. This is something so small but so practical. You don’t even have to think of your hand positioning it just works really well! 10/10 would recommend to everyone we know!.

Pros : easy to use with the uppababy vista stroller, car seat base is nice and can also be used with seatbelts if in an older car | Cons: the canopy is the worst, I’m surprised there aren’t more complaints.

Canopy is a very thin material and doesn’t even cover half the car seat. No matter what my baby’s eyes/body are constantly exposed to the sun. My baby also seems to sweat a lot in the car seat as well.

You can’t have the shade the whole way up if you are carrying the car seat. The seat is heavy it’s almost 10 lbs so as your baby gets more heavy it will be challenging to carry…. I love the stroller and how easy the items are to use together but the canopy would prevent me from purchasing.

The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is a great looking and light weight car seat that was fairly easy to install. I love the darker neutral colors and the generous padding options for comfort and support which can be removed as needed as your child grows.

I like that this car seat is noticeably lighter than other convertible options for easy transfer and install. We used the latch system and install was quick and overall easy however it is difficult to sufficiently tighten the strap once latched in (I found looping it back under the seat and pulling from the opposite side worked best for this aspect).

The features I like most about this car seat are its very high safety ratings, versatility, dark colors, double, removable cupholders, and the strap holders to each side are game changing! However, I did not like some of the adjustments of the seat to get a good, supportive fit.

My son is 10 months old and is approved for the level “2” recline position however, following the instruction booklet I trialed the chest straps in both the lower and upper positions to determine the best and safest fit.

While switching strap positions isn’t too difficult, the splitter you hook them into doesn’t appear to be the most secure. The thing I liked least is tightening the straps in any position. The thick stitching on the straps seems to easily catch in the opening when loosening and tightening and it is frustrating to spend extra time to sufficiently secure your child, especially when they are fussy or fidgeting.

Once in and secured, my child appeared comfortable and supported. We have a Toyota 4Runner and this seat fits well without taking up much space from the seat in front of it. I look forward to using this seat with my child as he grows and love that it will likely be the only seat he’ll need.

I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I also currently own 2 of an older version of this same seat (3 years and counting, currently still in use).

I really like that it can grow with my child- it reduces the $ you have to spend over time, it reduces waste/clutter of extra car seats being around, and also bridges the awkward gap between an infant ‘bucket’ seat and a standard car seat.

My kids (2 and 5 yo) both found this seat to be comfortable- the extra padding on the upper buckles and the bottom harness point reduced any pinch points for them. The head rest portion is robust and keeps them nicely confined without being uncomfortable.

The cup holders are indispensable for keeping snacks and activities contained. My favorite feature of this car seat is how easy it is to adjust the upper strap height- you pull the levers and push it up or down super easily, you can even do it with the kid in the seat.

The seat covers are also really easy to take on and off (without removing the seat) and wash really well over time. My largest complaint about this seat is that tightening the straps over time becomes really hard.

The interaction between the belt and the belt path starts to become not ‘smooth acting’ and you have to use a great deal of force to get it tight. Additionally, there is a seat setting at which one of the anchor buckles on the bottom hits a curved part of the seat and it is nearly impossible to tighten the seat without physically using one hand to guide the belt in the back and the other to tighten it down in the front- which is fine if the car seat is rear facing, but when it is forward facing you can’t get your hand behind the seat to ‘help’ it.

As mentioned, we have had 2 of this seat for over 3 years- and it has happened to both seats. The updates in the newer version of this seat are mostly an improved manual and easier to read/understand installation instructions- very much appreciated!.

I have 4 of these seats. Two for my Honda Odyssey and 2 for my husband’s Chevy dulmax. They are absolutely amazing. I love the fact that it is a one and done car seat. I also love the fact that I can keep the car seats latched in the car while I wash the cover.

It’s so easy to take off and wash and easy to reinstall all while the car seat stays in the van! The cup holders are harder to take out then I like, but I just while them down with a Cloris wipe and they are clean.

I had my premie son in his safety 1st from the day he came home from the hospital weighing at 5lbs and 14 Oz. He was soo tiny and the pillows for infant phase were perfect for him. I have never had an issue with thr straps not tightening on either 4 of my seats.

Both my boys are now forward facing but it’s easy to adjust the straps and loosen and tighten when needed. I absolutely love this sear and highly recommended it. However it does rattle when the kids are not in the seats, I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it stop.

But usually my music is loud enough for me to drown it out when they are not in the seat.

We’ve been using this carseat with our son for almost two years now. It’s awesome. We find it really takes two people to get it installed really tightly in our car (the pleather seats might make this harder), but since we aren’t moving it around much, that’s not a huge deal.

We have a square of non-slip shelf liner underneath the base, and that helps a little to prevent it moving a ton during install. It is very quick and easy to get the harness tightened on our son. And likewise easy to loosen/remove.

(My father did have a bit of a harder time loosening it when he stayed with us for a month, but I think it was just getting used to finding the release. ) We have the wool cover, which we love though it is pricey.

We don’t generally let our son eat in the seat, so can’t speak to cleaning it, but the seat still looks basically brand new for us. We have a Tesla model 3, and although this is the ‘slim base’ design, with our new daughter’s carseat on the other side, it is very very snug for an adult to squeeze into the middle seat.

(And I don’t think we could fit two of the Fllos right next to each other. ) But I doubt there are any other models much if at all slimmer. Overall, we have been very happy, and I expect we’ll purchase a second for our daughter when she’s ready to move up from her Mesa.

Through the generosity of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was gifted this car seat and base to try at no cost to me. This is our third child and we have never strayed from the Britax brand, for obvious reasons.

My wife and I did a lot of research on car seat safety and stroller systems with our first child in 2016 — we selected a Britax system then and never looked back. A lot has changed with the makeup and comfort of these infant seats over the years and this B-Safe Gen2 Infant Car Seat is certainly the best we have used.

Though all the Britax seats are top notch in safety, this one is top notch in comfort. My 4 month old daughter is snug and secure in this seat and as a dad, I appreciate the simplicity of the color and design (nothing gaudy or bright).

We have not had to remove the cover yet to wash but it looks incredibly easy and intuitive. We’ve used the LATCH system with Britax historically and this is one of the primary reasons we continue to purchase this brand, as the install of these seats is seamless, quick, and secure.

The interior is cushiony (almost a little too much so, as is elevates my daughter up higher than I would expect) and it’s a comfortable seat to carry as well from a parent perspective. It slides easily under the arm crook and holds nicely when grabbing it with one hand.

My only complaint in that regard is the slim space between the handle and shade when fully expanded. We pull the shade down in the car when it’s around nap time to encourage a dark sleeping environment and when we go to pull her out of the car and she’s still sleeping, it’s challenging to smoothly slip your handle in between the shade and handle to remove from the car.

A small thing but crucial for parents trying to encourage a few more minutes of sleep. It’s a bit heavier than my other Britax infant seats but that doesn’t bother us at all. it makes it feel more robust and safe in my mind.

We have used this with our old Britax stroller and it clicks seamlessly, as expected with no converter necessary. I also like the click-to-release harness button. seems to be improved from models past and releases with less effort and tension.

My wife is ecstatic about this feature as it’s sometimes hard for her to release the other buttons with one hand. Overall, this is an excellent seat and I would recommend this seat and brand to anyone with new children.

This is our 8th Britax seat (including other infant seats, convertibles, and boosters) and it does not disappoint.

I’ve been a strong supporter of Britax over the last 8 years. This is my 7th car seat purchase. We’ve purchased car seats, bases and strollers of the Britax brand. This particular car seat is super easy to install however the release of the car seat from the base is challenging each time.

It’s almost like it gets caught on the release hook and you have to tug a couple times to get it to come out. The Release button under the fabric is hard to locate when loosening the straps I do not like the fact that the strap pads are not removable cause the baby can spit up on them and you have to hand wash.

Not terribly hard to do but kind of annoying. The canvas cover feels really cheap. It doesn’t seem as heavy of a carseat like the previous infant one i had so that’s a positive. overall im confident that it will keep my child safe and that’ the most important part.

I can live with the rest until we purchase another convertible car seat next year.

It’s the most convenient car seat in the market! It’s basically a transformer, you got a stroller and car seat in one. It eliminates the hassle of having to carry extra parts like stroller frames simply to clip in a car seat out of the car.

This conveniently has wheels tucked in when folded, And with a push of a button the wheels drop down and it becomes the stroller. The handle extends as well and makes it more comfortable for pushing.

As a car seat it’s very comfortable and has that five point harness, it comes with an insert made for newborns up to 12 pounds, which can be removed when baby outgrows it. As a stroller, it’s very sturdy.

The wheels glide smoothly. The downside tho, because it is a two in one car seat-stroller, it’s heavy compared to other car seats. And it’s a bit heavier when you have a baby in it. But I look past that because the only time I am physically carrying the carseat is when I put it in the car and out of the car, before and after that I always have it with the wheels out.

Mostly I use it when going to do grocery (in Whole Foods or Target). If I am staying somewhere more than 1h I tend to receive the big stroller with me (Stokke stroller) as I believe it is much more comfortable for the baby to sleep than the car seat.

I wish I would have had this for my first child. Doona car seat/stroller makes my life so much easier, I don’t have to risk waking a baby transferring to a separate stroller or jostle them around trying to click a car seat into a stroller base.

Something to keep in mind is that this is not an all terrain stroller. Really only good for smooth surface. No grass, dirt, gravel and sometimes even tougher pavement. If you regularly have to climb flights of stairs or go places with no elevator I would recommend to just baby wear out the car and not attempt to lug this thing up stairs because it can get quite heavy.

As far as the transition from carrier to stroller and back goes it’s super smooth and doesn’t stick or jerk at all. Overall such a good investment and I would purchase it over again every time.

As a parent all we want is to protect our children! When I was first looking at car seat it was very overwhelming because of the vast variety of car seats on the market. Of course we want the best of the best and there’s no price you could put on protecting our children.

Given some companies like to use that to their advantage. I personally think the price of this product is well worth it due to the fact that it is a 4 in 1 car seat meaning you can use it from the time that they are a newborn up until the weight capacity up to 10 years.

Car seat companies typically base everything by weight, even if your child is the right age to be “foward facing” it all depends on their weight. What I love about this 4 in 1 car seat is it can be rear facing or forward facing.

My son has been using this since he was about a year old. What really sold me on this car seat is how it grows with them, it comes with all the newborn inserts that can be taken out later on. I bought this car seat in 2019. This car seat has been great and has had no severe issues besides the headrest sticking out. Which my daughter looked very uncomfortable and hated sitting in it, so I stuck padding behind her back so her head didn’t lean forward so much.

That seeded like a small issue but was a big complaint about all Graco carseats. Other than that, it has been a good sturdy car seat. I have some family and friends that own this model of car seat as well and they love it too but they have also stuck padding behind their children’s back to help with the headrest problem.

I ended up buying another model just like this one for my son this year. I am now a little sad that I did so because my daughter is being potty trained. She has had a couple accidents in her car seat and of course I have cleaned everything up immediately.

She has recently had it another accident in her car seat a couple days ago. When we took the car seat out to clean it, yellow liquid dumped out of the base of the car seat. It spilt all over in our car and it took 2 days to get this smell out.

We let it sit outside for a day to hopefully drain and an air dry. When I went out to check on it and lift it up, more liquid came out. I gently shook the car seat and I could hear liquid swishing around in the base.

I ended up calling customer service to see if they could do anything about this issue because I have never heard anybody else having this issue. They confirmed that they have not heard anybody having this issue and they also said there is NOTHING they can do to help me with this problem.

I am very sad that I had bought a second car seat from them, I will be either selling my son’s car seat and buying a new car seat for my son and daughter that is a different brand. I am very very sad with Graco.

Check the base of your carseat you don’t want this happening to you.

Great Car seat, love that it is made in Ontario, lower weight of the car-seat does not compromise the safety; however, the colours of the LIING are all dark and remind me of mourning. Clek is not the only stroller/car seat company guilty of this- not everyone and not all consumers like mourning looking strollers or car seats- Bugaboo has turned me off- into getting a Vista because the colours they have available in Canada are all dark.

So despite the fact that my Peg Perego is heavier- I still love the style/colour of it 100 times more then I do my LIING. Clek if your convertible seats can be blue or pink- I am sure you can make baby car seats with bright colours as well.

I only recommend the LING based on its safety features, that it is Canadian made and lightweight but do not recommend nor like the colours it comes in.

This carseat is great overall and I am glad I bought it. My two biggest complaints: 1) The car handle has to stay up when the carseat is in the car, I’m assuming for some safety feature, but it makes taking a baby in and out a pain.

After 4 months old, my baby wanted to be lifted out of the carseat when the car stopped and not being able to push these down while I got him out makes the process a lot harder. 2) The straps should have some hook or slot on the sides to hold them up when you are putting baby in carseat.

This way when you put baby in you don’t have to then try and fish the straps from behind them. Overall, I am very happy with it though and highly recommend.

This is a really fantastic seat. Safety is high, comfort is great; tiny newborns may be slightly pinched by the straps but there are good workarounds. However! Clek purposefully moved the warning labels away from the head area in the 2020 version of this seat.

We received one that still had them there. Big pain to have to cover them up so baby’s head doesn’t rub against them.

Always use the tether strap when the seat is installed forward-facing with LATCH. With Seatbelt Seatbelt installation is generally quick and easy too but this seat lacks a built-in lockoff device so it’s important for the user to understand how the seatbelt in their vehicle locks.

Read your vehicle owner’s manual for information on how to install a carseat in your vehicle with seatbelt. Do not use the tether strap for rear-facing but always use the tether forward-facing if a tether anchor is available for the seating position being used in the vehicle.

Fit to vehicle Comments: The Triumph is wide but doesn’t take up a lot of space front-to-back when installed rear-facing. This is good news for parents who are tall and need a lot of leg room up front or for vehicles with small backseats.

When the seat is forward-facing there are very few compatibility issues – it tends to fit nicely in most vehicles. After hours upon hours of researching car seat safety I decided to purchase a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 in February 2021. I had originally purchased a Nuna Pipa Car Seat but returned it for a Peg Perego because I felt my baby and future babies would be safer in this seat.

I now regret ever returning the Nuna Pipa Seat. The first time I noticed an issue with my Peg Perego was when I stopped at a stop sign and heard my car seat click in fully. This happened twice before I realized I have to slam down on the car seat with all my might to make sure that the right side of the car seat clicks into the base.

When I use the car seat in my mother and mother in laws base it clicks in with no issue. I told myself there was no issue as I had done my research and this seat was the best option. I decided I would just slam down on the car seat each time to make sure it latched down completely.

A family member drove my son using my base and afterwards I realized I never told them about the malfunction and that likely it wasn’t installed correctly. This should never be a concern for a parent.

I want to feel confident that anyone can buckle my child in properly not only me. After this I decided to call and ask for a replacement. The woman from Peg Perego asked for the information on my base.

To my surprise this car seat was manufactured in 2018. We purchased it in February 2021. She then told me the car seat was no longer under warranty due to when it was manufactured. I told her I had just purchased it and she argued with me saying I had not.

Even after sending an email confirmation with the date of purchase she still told me I was wrong. After tons of phone calls to them they finally agreed to send us a new car seat and base. They told us we had to send our base back to them before they would send us a new one.

Thankfully I was able to borrow my mother in laws base (because obviously safety is not their priority). We just received the replacement base and they sent it back in the same box I had sent the original in with no sort of packing material.

The base has absolutely no protection. I have no idea how I’m supposed to know that this base is even safe to use as it was probably tossed around in shipping. I could not be more disappointed. PLEASE do not waste your money on this!.

PEG PEREGO BOOKLET 50 car seat/stroller. My 6 month old daughter got her head stuck sideways under the ledge of this car seat while I was driving. DANGEROUS! She could have suffocated. I’m very disappointed and angry.

I checked everything to make sure this didn’t happen by the placement or anything on my end. Nope. It’s just the seat. I spent $700+ on this travel system thinking I was getting “top of the line” in safety and quality.

WRONG! Not only is it dangerous, sun shade won’t stay up unless it’s clicked all the way forward and if your carrying the seat w the shade up, forget it. It’ll just fall back down. Stroller does not have cup holder or anywhere to put your keys or phone.

Stroller does not have a snack tray. All around waste of money.

So I previously purchased the Nido base prior to the complete carseat system to ensure that it could be installed into each of our family vehicles. As previously stated, although the initial installation of the base is a bit tricky, it can be done and is easier once you get the hang of what you’re doing! To be fair I’ve never installed an infant car seat before so it was a learning process all around.

The added safety features of the LATCH, load leg and anti-rebound bar made this my number one choice for our little one who will be arriving in December. The carseat itself is even better in person than I imagined! Some of my favorite features include; the 5-point adjustable harness with elastic straps to keep harness out of the way when placing infant in car seat, the Dual Stage Cushion System with two cushions to properly position baby’s head and shoulders within the protected wings, the shell is lined with perforated, energy-absorbing EPS foam for safety and maximum air circulation, and the Side Impact Protection (SIP) is adjustable to 6 different positions with no re-threading required! I really love the modern look of the carseat, and the extendable mesh hood will certainly come in handy for privacy, during nap time or blocking out the sun on a bright day while still providing ample ventilation for our baby boy.

The fabric is beautiful, soft and is removable and can be washed which I am sure will come in handy in the future. If safety is your top priority, I highly recommend purchasing the Nido! The modern style of the carseat is certainly a plus, but nothing beats the peace of mind of knowing my little one is safe and sound during our travels.

Thanks to the Stellar Panel for sending my wife and me the Britax Advocate ClickTight Convertible Car Seat to review. It came at an ideal time as we were in the market for a second convertible car seat as our daughter was quickly outgrowing the Nuuna seat she had been using the car since birth.

For us, this was ideal as our first child has been using an earlier convertible car seat from Britax, so we were familiar with the brand from the start. First, the pros of this seat: (1) It is made solidly but with significant padding, so it feels safe and comfortable.

The padding also seems more straightforward to remove and replace than the older convertible seat we have from Britax in the line. (2) Installation can take less than a minute if you know where your LATCH system attaches or if you use a shoulder belt to secure the seat to the car.

(3) When forward facing, the seat has additional anchor points that allow for extra security over the back of the seat to a tie down on the rear. We have a Land Rover Discovery Sport with LATCH attachments across all three seats in the second row and a tiedown behind each seating position in the trunk, which is ideal for multiple car seats and our dog when traveling.

(4) Putting our daughters in and out of the seat is quick and easy as the seats allow for rapid loosening and tightening of the straps once the child is in. The seat also adjusts quickly if you only have one seat in the car, but one of two children of different ages or sizes could be the one riding with you.

(5) Lastly, and this is kind of huge, so apologies for burying a lead here. The seat is swift to take apart and clean. On a recent road trip, we had an incident where our one daughter was carsick and made a mess of the seat.

Once we arrived at our destination in under 5 minutes, we stripped all the padding off for the washer and sprayed down the base of the seat clean to dry in the sun. Once it was all dry, all the pads quickly went back in place, and it was back in the car in no time, ready for the next round.

Now for the cons, and depending on your situation, they could be deal breakers: (1) The Advocate is on the heavier side. The heavy-duty construction and safety built into this seat come at the cost of weight.

It is a tradeoff, but one I would take. I will say that during a recent trip where I had to remove the seat in the lot of a dealership and swap it into an Uber was a bit of a pain given the weight and an unleashed child.

However, it was doable, albeit I probably won’t be taking either daughter to drop the car off for service again, given the seat is a lot to carry with a 2-year-old on the loose. (2) The dimensions of the seat are on the larger side.

We have what we thought was a good amount of space in our car’s second row, but this seat eats up a ton of space, especially with two of them installed. When the child is facing forward, this constraint is less of an issue, but when facing rearward, the seat is limited to being in the middle seat if you want to have either the passenger or driver’s side seat all the way back.

This situation can be less than ideal for the driver and is especially important to me as I am over 6’2″ and need the seat farther back. Overall this is a very solidly built option with an improved padding design.

The weight is a bit much if you want to move it between vehicles often or travel with it, but that is a tradeoff for the safety of the design. Easy to clean if you have an incident while traveling, and the pad removal and reinstallation process is quick and straightforward.

Lastly, the solid build and safety are a tradeoff if your vehicle lacks significant room in the second row, but it easily installs with either the LATCH safety system or a shoulder belt.

I received this carseat in exchange for an honest review from Stellar Product Testing Panel. This seat is sturdy and seems like a quality, safe, car seat. It our first Britax product and if this seat had a cup holder, I would purchase.

Pros: 1. ClickTight system. I (apparently) have been strapping my children into their car seats way too tight. The audible click when the harness is appropriately tight is a wonderful feature. I’m sure my daughter appreciates this! It is very nice that the seat locks into place on top of the seatbelt and is very secure.

Definitely more secure than just using a seatbelt or LATCH anchors. 2. Very soft material 3. Extra padding The car seat that this has replaced (NOT Britax) digs into my daughter’s belly at the harness buckle.

We installed an aftermarket pad toward a barrier between, but it did next to nothing. This Britax Boulevard seat, however, has diligently solved that problem. There is a nearly 1/2″ thick and soft pad that is positioned behind the buckle.

WONDERFUL! The shoulder pads (labled as high-impact absorbing) are a nice quality as well. They are recommended for use with forward facing seats, optional for smaller children that are still rear facing.

4. I love that it does not contain added flame-retardant chemicals. 5. The seat itself looks nice. It appears comfortable. My daughter says it’s more comfortable than her last seat, but that brings me to the cons.

Cons: 1. NO CUP HOLDER We have become accustomed to this feature on our last seat and may honestly be a deal breaker. It did not take me very long to get tired of fetching a sippy cup or snacks. 2. Leg room My daughter can’t sit with her feet in the seat.

She likes the option to do that if she’s going to be in it for a while. I wish this came with some sort of leg extention/support. 3. Support padding Our last seat had a lot of support/impact padding.

This seat does not. There is only one thin pad between the structure and the child in both the back and bottom of the seat. My daughter says its comfy, but on a long car ride, I cannot imagine that sitting directly on a steel frame can feel great.

(Our last seat had a plastic shell surrounding the seat- this does not. ) It does, however have a deeper, more streamlined head support. Overall, my two favorite features on this seat are the serious crotch buckle padding and the deep head support/protection.

The head support part (the part that adjusts the shoulder straps) is in a deep U shape. It is narrow and looks like it will prevent head drooping when the rare car seat nap happens. (It has not happened yet, so I am purely speculating) It looks like it would make a good headrest for a sleeping little person.

We live in Florida and I do wish we would have had the opportunity to test a cool flow version of this seat. That seems like a fantastic option.

This is a functional, safe, and clean car seat. My number one consideration when buying a car seat is safety. Britax is a name I can and have trusted since having my daughter 5 years ago. I love that with this seat, my kids heads are padded and protected from side impacts.

It’s also great that the fabric is not treated with flame-retardant chemicals. I do my best to avoid flame-retardant chemicals whenever I can, and I’m grateful that Britax has been conscious of how many consumers are looking for this option.

As far as size goes, it’s great as a long-lasting convertible seat. Both my 38lb two-year-old son and my 43lb five-year-old daughter fit in this seat- my two-year-old sitting rear-facing, and my five-year-old sitting forward facing.

I chose to test this product that I was gifted through the Stellar Product Testing Panel on my rear facing two-year-old because he is messier and spends more time in the car. He is comfortable rear-facing, but now that he’s getting heavier, it takes a little muscle and maneuvering to get him situated properly when I’m putting him in.

I wish this seat had some sort of adjustment at the feet to allow for more space for a rear-facing child. I go overboard and keep my kids rear-facing for as long as possible (my daughter was 4 when we turned her around) so this is important to me.

The materials are incredibly soft and feel high-end, but are also easy to clean. Most messes could be wiped or vacuumed off, but a spilled yogurt drink required a washing. It was very easy to remove the cover and throw in the washing machine- it looked good as new in a couple hours and was easy to put back on.

This is a HUGE bonus for me, because I can’t stand a dirty car seat, especially one that my kids will use for a while. Installation was easier than some seats because of the Click Tight system, but more difficult than others I’ve tried with a rigid latch system.

Still, it took under twenty minutes to watch a video and install it safely in my truck. Another advantage It has is the long safety tether for the forward facing position. We have a 2021 Honda Ridgeline and the tether anchor is all the way down near the floor of the car- other seats have not reached, but this one does! Overall, I’d highly recommend this seat to anyone looking for a safe, long-lasting, and comfortable car seat.

The most notable thing about this car seat is how light it is. This is great if you need to move it often. It is compact and actually fits 3 across as it claims. The instructions were easy to follow.

The seat is not very padded so probably not the most comfortable for long trips. The level line is just a line (not a bubble-level indicator like other car seats have) so it may take longer to make sure it’s installed correctly.

I would recommend this seat if you are looking for a budget car seat, if you need to fit 3 seats in your vehicle, if you need to move the car seat often or if you just don’t drive a lot and so don’t want to pay more.

When our baby outgrew the Nuna pipa, there was no question in my mind that our next car seat would be a Nuna Rava. The Pipa was such a perfect car seat from the materials, the light weight to the ease of use we ended up buying two Ravas for both our cars when it was time to upgrade.

The Rava on the other hand turned out to be an infuriating design that starts my morning off with biting my tongue while trying to strap my little one in. When you first open the box, you are greeted with a message that says “The Belt is better!” because this Nuna seat does not use your built in car seat latches in your car and involves a sumo wrestling match with the Rava to get it squished down into your seat and the car belt tightly through it.

But you will find yourself doing this installation often because the car seat gradually works to one side of your automobile seat and upward from the upward tension of the belt on one side. So no. the belt is not better.

The straps on this constantly twist and hide twists behind the bulky strap pads. This will consume most of your time of trying to get your child buckled in as you undo the twisty puzzle in your morning daze.

It’s not because they are long straps. The straps are much shorter than other car seats and this will be very obvious as your child grows into a toddler. Like my Pipa, the Rava came with uneven cut straps from the factory so one side will always be slightly less snug than the other.

The fabrics are nice but when your child throws up on it, you will need to dedicate a good hour to taking it apart oh yes, and sumo-wrestling mounting it back in your car. The fact that we bought a second one off the bat only makes me more embarrassed that I did not do my research and read the other 1 star reviews on here that echo my concerns with this car seat.

We were caught a bit off guard when it was time to upgrade from our infant car seat to our convertible car seat. We did a lot of research and talked with family and friends, and wanted a top-safety-rated car seat with functional features like easy install and cup holders.

We decided to splurge on the Nuna Rava when Nordstrom was running their anniversary sale – the Refined color was $150 off, making its price exactly what we were looking to spend with other brands. We bought it, but I was worried because some people complained the fabric was scratchy.

Turns out: there was no reason to be worried. They do use a canvas type material, but it’s much nicer than the Chicco car seat my baby has been in for the last year. It seems like it’ll be really easy to clean when the time comes.

This car seat is beautiful, the fabrics are high quality, and it’s so easy to install. Since we alternate drop off and pickup at daycare, we decided to buy a second one for my husband’s car. We ended up purchasing the Caviar color (Nordstrom changed which one was on sale halfway through their anniversary sale, but it was discounted to the same price).

The second car seat is the super soft fabric all over, but honestly I think the refined looks and feels nicer, and is a higher quality product overall. I know two high quality car seats is a splurge, but this car seat is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made for my baby and would absolutely recommend if your budget allows for it.

My son is turning one this month and we were looking to transition him to a convertible carseat as he’s quickly approaching the weight limit for his newborn carseat. We have been spoiled by the Uppababy Mesa Car Seat, so I knew my standards would be very high when it came to the convertible carseat.

I had originally purchased a Britax convertible car seat, but immediately hated it and regretted my decision (which is very surprising given it’s a great brand with a ton of great reviews) – the instruction manual was insanely overwhelming, it didn’t sit flat on my car seats (I have a 2021 Ford Explorer) and my kiddo just seemed uncomfortable in it.

So I did my research and settled on the Nuna. Even though it’s pretty pricey, I consider it a luxury car seat with all of the bells and whistles. Setup was much easier compared to the Britax, it fit on our car’s seats beautifully, the fabric is soft and the seat seems comfortable for our son, there are a little pockets on either side for the clips so that the harness is out of the way when you’re getting kiddo into the seat, and there are retractable cupholders.

It’s big (as most convertible car seats are), but it’s not bulky. Overall, I’m VERY pleased with my purchase and highly recommend.

I was so thrilled to purchase this Nuna Pipa Lite for our first child. As new parents we were still navigating the road of what are ‘must haves’. Unfortunately we learned a valuable (and costly) lesson.

This particular model is not FAA compatible without the base. Meaning it will not work if you were planning to also use it for airline travel and/or rental cars, taxis etc. That was a huge bummer when we realized it after already starting to use it, so it was too late to return.

We are now having to buy a second Nuna Pipa that can be used for vacations. Strangely the cheaper non lite model offers that ability plus the other Pipa lite models …just not this one. I would say Nuna missed the mark on this particular model and it begs the question, why the heck would they remove the few simple features needed for travel capability.

In my opinion, this model should come with that disclaimer in bold writing. (I believe I finally saw it somewhere in small print) Otherwise other inexperienced parents like ourselves may totally overlook that and find ourselves having to buy a second one.

Unfortunately that drawback was a HUGE disappointment.

I have had my eye on several of Nuna’s amazing products, so I was really excited to get the Pipa lite RX carseat for my youngest. This carseat is everything you and baby need, and more. They have literally thought of everything! What stands out about the Nuna Pipa lite RX are the extremely lightweight design and comfortable handle, which allow for safe and almost effortless transportation of baby while out and about.

This carseat is made from certified organic cotton fabric and dye, and includes several comfortable and removable inserts that help make baby’s time out comfortable and luxurious from 4-32 pounds. Pipa lite RX was easy to install, and can be used with or without the telescoping base.

My favorite features are the UPF 50+ adjustable canopy, magnetic fold-out sun shade, and magnetic buckle holders to keep straps out of the way when moving baby in and out of the seat. Hands down this is the best carseat we have owned out of all 3 children.

If you’re looking for the best carseat around, Nuna is where it’s at! You will not be disappointed.

As a mom you want the best for your baby and this car seat is definitely the best!! Is very easy to carry along. The Flex Base is very safe and easy to install but you can also use your car seat without it.

I can easily secure it to my second car without the base. The fabric material is nice and soft on my newborn skin, is very easy to attach to the Relx base, it has an adjustable headrest and a full coverage canopy no more putting blankets on top of my baby’s car seat! Nuna Pipa is definitely on another level.

It looks elegant and luxe, definitely modern with all the features like the magnetic buckle holders and one of my favorite parts is how easy it is to install the flex base practically effortlessly and 100% effective.

I have peace of mind having my baby daughter riding in this complete and very safe nuna PIPA baby car seat. I absolutely recommend it, the quality is amazing and it brings all the protection my baby needs.

Definitely worth it.
