20 Best Cases For S6 (2022 Updated)

I told everyone I knew about my OtterBox. I have multiple sclerosis and I drop my phone quite a fair deal. The last case I had from you guys was superb not only was my phone always protected from my shaky hand but the phone came with a template so that I could create custom backgrounds for the case.

I wore that case into the ground I loved it so much so when I had to replace it obviously I was going to get another OtterBox. I tried my best to find the phone case that matched my previous one but the customer support service wasn’t able to identify my case.

So after searching I settled on one that I thought was the closest in design. And in this new case my phone is so secure I can’t click any of the side buttons (power or volume) without indenting my fingers.

It takes a couple tries to get my phone to screenshot or to shut off. I haven’t tried getting an image in the back because when I put the case on for the first time trying to get it off felt like I was going to snap the phone.

(I double checked to make sure this is the correct size for my phone and it is. ) While I haven’t lost total faith in OtterBox because my phone does feel safe I am not a happy Otter.

I tried this case out for a Pixel 5. The way that newer Android handles the Back button is to start your thumb from offscreen on the left or right and swipe in toward the center. This case has a bezel sticking out past the screen on all sides of the phone, meaning the natural place to swipe in with your thumb is obstructed by a hard edge, making the Back swipe impossible.

Likewise the Home swipe comes from the bottom, bezel in the way, etc. Otterbox seems to have just issued an iPhone case for an Android phone with no thought to how Androids actually work. It’s fine for the old, pre-gesture interface, but a Pixel 5 or 6 – do not buy an Otterbox case until they’ve figured out how to make one that works.

This was a replacement for for my Symmetry case I bought 5 years ago. These are amazing cases. But they have changed. The volume buttons are difficult to use if you don’t have strength in your hands.

They are still easy to install, hold up under many drops, and easy to hold in your hand. What I don’t like and the reason I almost sent this back is because this particular color I received is not as shown.

It is a tacky (ugly) glittery colored case that I would have never bought. The red I am replacing is no longer an option and the new available options are odd. If you like Star Wars, Mickey Mouse or other cartoon movies…this is the perfect place to shop for a new case.

But the solid color options outside of black, are few. Otterbox, please keep all generations in mind in your designs.

I love this case I bought it for my old phone cause of the price best choice I ever made. such a amazing case. nice and very protective. I have dropped my phone so many times not a scratch Crack or anything on it.

It has screen protection and kickstand I love it and have used it for all my new phones and tables I got much better then a otter box and amazing price and such a great product I feel it was like a steal I would recommend this and when you get it you will see how amazing and never wanna go back to a different case.

The Otterbox Symmetry case for the Samsung galaxy S6 gives great protection all around. 1. Nice hard back to protect the Glass case of the S6. 2. Raised lip all around provides great drop protection.

I have never had a problem with edge getting in the way of the finger print lock on the home key. 3. All cut outs match. 4. Inside case has good protection around and back. 5. Offers good camera protection on back of case.

6. Any Glass, H9, or other screen protector fit good with case on it. I have the Black color Symmetry Case. I would like to try the Gridlock Style Symmetry case but its a but expensive and even on EBay and Amazon prices compared for the price its better to buy this Otterbox Symmetry Gridlock case on Otterboxs Website.

Now in all fairness the ONLY 1 thing that kept me from giving this case a Five Star rating is that is a Slider. Its a slider when layed face up, but if turned face down it offers a good grip from the edges.

It would have been nice it Otterbox offered the same back case grip the Otterbox Defender has on the Otterbox Symmetry and Commuter.

I had been using my S6 with just a skin because I liked the looks and size of the original phone without a case. After 6 months and a couple drops with (luckily) no damage, I decided to get a case to be safe.

I picked this one because it was rather simple, looked good, and offered a decent amount of protection. It went on easy with one motion and fits snug and secure. The edging is rubber and somewhat grippy which helps keep the phone from slipping out of my hand.

I expected the back to be textured and grippy too because it looks like it is, but it is entirely smooth. Ultimately, this is probably a good thing as the slick back helps the phone slide in and out of my pockets without getting caught and the grippy edge is enough to keep it in my hand.

The charging and headphone jacks are easy to access and the camera lens (which sticks out of the back a little on an S6) is now protected because of the thickness of the case. All in all, it’s a great case.

I wish it was a bit thinner and lighter, but hopefully that heft will save me from damage one day.

Ive always used otterbox for my cases. This time i opted for a different style. This is less bulky and MORE slick. if not careful can slip out of your had. Ive slightly disappointed in that at the bottom of case its appears to be loose.

Ive only had case 1 week. Chose this case because the defenders (rubber) covering always loosen up after 6mths. The jury is still out on this particular case. My coworkers recommended this style so in 6 mths hopefully my respond will be more on the referral/ positive side.

However i still trust otterbox just wished rubber cases didnt worp so quickly.

Looks great and I liked it for the first year I had it but then it started to crack around the camera and power/volume buttons. It is now loosely fitted to my phone and I’m worried it won’t protect my phone anymore.

Disappointed because despite this Otterbox are refusing to satisfy warranty on this case and have not only lied about me being able to claim a warranty through their site but also tried to gaslight me and then stopped communication completely.

This is a one star review for the company. Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever received.

This is a great product! For years, I have exclusively used a heavy duty phone case from another popular phone case company. Well, they no longer make the specific style I like for my iPhone model. I decided to give Otterbox I try and have not been disappointed.

The light weight of this case is superior to the bulkiness of the other company’s. case. It is easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to clean and — most importantly — provides just the right amount of protection.

Love it! The only room for improvement IMHO is that the plastic feels. a little flimsy around the side of the case were the silent mode on/off button is. Other than that, this is a great product. Highly recommended!.

I got a hand me down galaxy s6 edge + and needed a new case. I thought of otter box right off the bat and immediately found a good selection of cases and colors. I chose the symmetry glacier case because it looked like it’d provide good protection for my phone and look good.

The white with grey looks clean and sleek. The rubber or whatever the grey material is provides good gripping areas for my phone. The case is light and doesn’t add too much weight to my phone. This was overall a good buy.

I have had my Samsung Galaxy S6 for 4 months and this case has protected it amazingly! I hope Samsung makes the same case for the Note 5. I have the Note 5 now and I really hope to see this same case available for it soon!.

The case is beautiful and elegant, the drawback for me is that if offers no protection for your phone. I ended up buying another case. I’m always on the go so this case didn’t work for me.

This case looks good, very conservative design, looks classy. All openings are perfectly matched to the various openings on the phone, headphone 3. 5mm hole is large enough to plug in even pretty thick plug.

It’s just perfect. The overall design of ballistic is imo way better then the design of its main compatitor, which is clunkier and is harder to use due to high thickness of the layer. The protection this case provides is truly exceptional, the outer lip over the screen and reinforced corners protect it in an exceptional fashion.

At under $20 for this it’s the best value for the best armor case.

The 2 piece adds layers of protection, but also increases the thickness of the phone. Rubberized corners will make it more difficult when trying to remove from your pocket. Wouldn’t you rather your phone be protected instead of when you dropped it after removing from your pocket? This is my 2nd Ballistic case and have been happy with the protection & quality for the price.

All ports are accessible and it doesn’t impede charging, volume. on/off, etc. For what phones costs, you should have a case especially if you don’t have the monthly insurance and you cannot go wrong with Ballistic cases.

I have to say that my ballistic jack phone case Cover. Is da bomb. Well I think the only way to destroy it is with a missile or a bomb. Man this thing is tuff and awesome. Not that I beat my phone up but I have accidentally dropped it a few times over the past 18 months that I’ve used it.

And the cover has taken the punishment and it still looks brand new. A really great piece of equipment that I depend on to help protect something that I depend on.

This case is definitely no otter case or other type of ballistic style protection. However, the case is not that less bulky than any of the others mentioned. My real concern with this case is the phone does not really sit in the case and it is a one piece design, not a two piece like the others.

This makes it very difficult to get the phone out of the case. I feel like I am going to break the phone getting it out. Buttons all work and everything lines up fine. What I really don’t like is the hump in the back that is created by using the little black strip that keeps your phone from touching the back of the case.

Not sure what how that really protects the phone, but I really don’t want to drop it to find out. The little rubber bumpers on the ends of the case snag on EVERYTHING! I am surprised that they have not ripped off yet or better yet ripped the phone out of my hands and to the ground.

I have caught it every time so far. The case will do until I find another slimmer case that is just as protective which should not be too hard.

I am very happy with the case. I was looking for a case similar to the Incipio Dual Pro because unlike otterbox and others, the rubberized feel makes it non slip and easy to hold. I just received this case, and it is perfect.

Looks great, nice colors. very durable and the phone is very secure in the case.

Honestly it has a simple grey and black design. I really do like it and it provides good protection. It’s a little weird to take on and off but its not that big of a deal. Great product and definitely recommend for someone that’s trying to find a cheap and good quality.

I thought I would give this inexpensive lightweight case a try not expecting too much and I’m quite pleased. It fit the phone really well and you can’t tell at a glance the phone is covered at all. All the ports are accessible, all the buttons work great, the sense of hand grip is much improved, no slippery phone, and the camera lens is protected.

This case isn’t heavy armor and probably will not save the phone from a ‘crash’, but I love the no-see-it visual aesthetic, hand-grip sureness, and ding-scratch resistance.

I have been looking for a clear case for a while now until I found this one. Easy to say I’m very impressed and liked it right when I fit it onto my phone. It’s not cheap material and it’s an extremely affordable price.

It protects my S6 without making it bulky to handle or carry. Exactly what I wanted. I prefer the clear covers so I can display graphics on the backside of my phone.

I have been a long time user of Speck cases for my iPhones. This is my 2nd Mighty Shell I have had in only 6 months for my iPhone 6. and the 2nd one going back. The protection isn’t the problem. for protection the Mighty Shell gets 5 stars.

It’s durability/build quality that is the issue. The silicone bumpers deform and come loose from the case after about 3 months of use. Happened with my first Mighty Shell, as well. Speck made good on the warranty and replaced it.

This one is going back, as well. I know I’ll get a replacement, but this is kind of a pain, Speck. For you and for me. Should probably fix it, huh?.

This is my second Speck MightyShell case for my Samsung S6. My previous one was the black/gray and was my original case, it’s 3 years old, and started peeling at the edges around my screen. My black case has saved my phone from drops in Costco (screen fitting ground), parking lots, sidewalks, tile, and other hard floors from about 3-4 feet from ground.

I love these cases and I love the pop of color!!!.

Super love the case. Super light and thin, very durable. Love it how it can easily be qi wireless charge without taking case off or worrying about charging pausing. etc. Love how the case doesn’t cover power and volumes buttons because I don’t like it being cover, risk the fact that it can damage buttons because most cases presses too hard on the buttons so that’s a no, no for me.

I had phone’s buttons damaged just being in a case covering it so I am looking for case without covering any buttons but at the same time not so thin without protection or not too thick keeping it from not being able to qi wireless charge, so this is exactly what I am looking for.

The first time was by chance. Since then, every time I get a new phone. The first thing I do is hunt down a INCIPIO. It’s slimmer and easy to get in and out of a pocket. I love that it doesn’t take away from the styling or slim lines of the phone.

I ordered this case for another person. I have the same one on my phone. Coupled with a solid glass screen protector, this should be good enough for any everyday accident. I have dropped it 2x over the course of a year onto concrete from about 3-4 feet.

Sucker bounced each time. No harm, no foul committed to my phone. With a cheap $5 plastic hard case, I’m sure I would have been buying a new phone instead. Protect your investment! Spend an extra few bucks, and buy the best you can!!.

This is the 5th Ballistic case that I’ve had and it’s as good as any of them. They really do a nice job of protecting the phone yet actually improving the functioning of the side buttons. They add rubber ‘buttons’ to the case that make it easier to push the little buttons the phone itself has.

Good idea and they work. Everything is easy to get to as well. Highly recommend them over many others that cost much more.

Best Case. I’m on the move quite a bit. My former flagship phone which cost an arm and leg has been dropped more times than I can remember. Then phone still looks new, clearly, the amazing fit of this case holds the phone in place.

There is no room to move and cause case roughing. All corners are perfectly intact, no cracks in my phone. The camera lens is great, I do often clean it with the quick shirt rub, I know better, but with all the drops I’ve simply been lucky to not drop it on something that pokes the camera only.

The back of the case and in general still looks to be clean and unless closely inspected scratches to the case and other damage is largely hidden. I have the Gun Metal version. I have seen my phone slide 2 meters across its back on a gravel driveway.

It is still easy to remove and clean, holds it’s shaped perfectly and frankly, I would slap it onto a replacement phone for another 2 years if I am not looking to get an S8. I tell everyone I know Spigen is the only case for all my phones at work and home.

This case is excellent for my Samsung Galaxy S6. The price is quite reasonable and offers excellent protection for an expensive handset. It is a tight fit to get the phone into the case but that isn’t a bad thing at all.

The case has all the cut outs you need. The side buttons are only slightly harder to touch than other cases out there but again that isn’t a worry to me. I like the fact that it has military grade protection and something I have not seen on a case before so this is really good.

The best thing for me was the authentication card in the box with a code on that you tap into spigen’s website to check if it’s genuine and it definitely is. With so many other cases that don’t have this it is good to see that.

All in all I would recommend Spigen for whatever handset you have, yes it may cost you more than a silicone case but they are worth it. Get one today. You won’t be disappointed!.

As always Spigen delivered a great product. The case offers protection without adding too much bulk and feels good in the hand. But there are a few short comings in this case. In galaxy s5 version they had the camera and flash laser cut, filling the space between them.

In this case they decided to make just one big hole for them, which is not that stylish. Then one more problem is kind of hard to press the volume buttons. Then at the bottom part the edges are too sharp and when holding the phone, usually keeping the pinky finger under it, it kind of hurts my phone.

And last one, too bad they don’t offer water proof cases, i would definetely but them.

When I ordered my new Samsung Tab S6, I immedeatly also ordered the Otterbox Defender for the tablet. I am quite happy with my Defender for the Samsung Note 10+, so the decision was easy. Why only 4 stars? Well, the screen protector integrated in the S6 Defender is quite useless.

Not only the hassle to mount it without any fleck of dust. The major issue is that the screen protector also protects the finger print reader from working, and it makes using the stylus for writing/drawing terrible (it feels somewhat “sticky”).

So, after approx. 2 hours I decided to remove the screen protector completely (luckily that was quite easy). So, now the screen is not “protected” (my S4 didn’t suffer a single scratch in 2 years without), and I am happily using the finger print scanner and the stylus.

So, my suggestion to Otterbox: get rid of that stupid screen protector. The rest, I love!.

I have tried MANY cases for various devices over the years, and no one offers a more premium and durable feel than the Otterbox Defender Series! The Galaxy Tab S6 case is offered only with the screen protector built-in (unlike my iPhone XS Max case which I was able to buy without).

These plastic covers are terrible; the first thing I did was remove it, which fortunately was easy to do. The only downside is that there is now a small gap between the device and the plastic of the case which dirt/dust can ingress in.

Not a big deal though. One area for improvement would be to build a slim plastic kick-stand into the back of the case itself instead of in the front cover. I no longer need to worry about damaging my expensive tablet if I drop it.

I HIGHLY recommend the Otterbox Defender case for anyone who wants the best protection along with a snug fitting and high-end feeling case!.

I purchased two of these for our Community Health Workers and spent close to 6 months reviewing products and asking similar organizations. We live in a rural coastal area where it is wet and the camps for people living without housing are miles up into the river roads.

So far they are holding up well and are easier than the phones, can work offline with PDF’s, and are much more compact than our laptops. Easy to throw in a pack and walk a few miles. I will probably purchase a third.

Absolutely beautiful case, but it would be better if the case covered more of the front of the phone.

The frame is ok, I didn’t test it to see if would withstand any kind of drop test, the screen protector is horrid, it doesn’t really sit on the screen, so the clarity of the screen is compromised and the touch level is not user friendly, you have to “tap” really hard to get it to recognize any input.

working well so far, I like that it clips in and out easily, and offers protection that you need. Its a bulky, but I manage. Works for what I need.

Ive own alot of different phone cases but 3 years ago i bought a ballistic and thats all ive owned since. Every new phone i get i buy a BALLISTIC CASE to go with it

I had one of these for a couple years. It survived a lot of abuse. Some of the rubber finally started to separate so I bought replacement. Very happy with the durability and protection
