20 Best Cast Iron Sink (2022 Updated)

This sink was installed on Dec 15, 2021. Almost immediately it began to absorb stains from foods, including pie crust, which made a brown stain. I use bar keeper’s friend and softscrub only on the sink.

I also use a clear vinyl sink protector mat on both sides of sink. The shiny finish on the bottom of the sink is almost gone after 3 weeks of use. My previous kohler cast iron white sink was 23 years old and had just begun to absorb stains.

Some days I wish I had it back. It is an undermount and we spent lots of money having quartz tops installed. Very high maintenance sink. I love the size of the sink and the hammered look. Also had to redo plumbing and change out the drop down shelves on front of cabinets.

To change out this sink will cost mega bucks. Very disappointed and not sure what to do. I have always considered Kohler a great product.

I recently updated my kitchen with soapstone countertops and after looking at many sink options, I’m glad I decided on a white cast iron undermount sink. It looks gorgeous and the care is easy. I thought it being in white, may require frequent cleaning.

But, it doesn’t! It seems to always look clean; I just use bar keepers friend on it about once a week. It also doesn’t show any scratches. Because of the weight, I thought installation would be difficult.

But, it wasn’t; it comes with the support brackets that you need. Also, glad I ordered it through build. com. The entire process from ordering and receiving shipment was extremely easy! I also saved a a lot of money! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!.

When remodeling, I looked into a stainless steel sink. Too tinny. I just don’t like them. Another choice was a composite sink. Look and felt like plastic. Pass. I had cast iron Kohler sink before so I decided to go with what I knew, liked, and the quality I was used to.

It took 3 months to come in, but I’m happy I waited for it. My only complaint is that the drains are further apart, so because of the plumbing it messed with all my under cabinet stuff. My slide out garbage container no longer fit, and the R/O system had to be moved around.

Eventually with a whole lot of shopping and finagling, I got it all to work. All in all, I wouldn’t want anything else. It just took a WHOLE lot of effort to get there.

Love this Kohler sink! When you open the box it looks HUGE–but in the counter top it looks really great. Very functional–can wash your biggest pans easily. The wrack that comes with the sink fits perfectly and is very handy for stacking things away from the drain and letting water run off.

This sink replaced a really old white cast iron sink. This new sink is really great, very easy to keep clean, and it stays clean. I also ordered the Koehler cast iron sink cleaner. Works great, instructions did say that a lot of the cleaning products out today can damage the finish.

I expect this sink to stay nice for a long time.

It’s beautiful!! Not stainless steal !! Not farmhouse !! Has great function for big items but can also be used as two sinks ! Also keeps family from putting dishes OVER THE DISPOSAL you need to use !! Very smart !!.

This sink is deeper than my former Kohler, which I love washing big pans. The lower divider is a smart improvement. Very nice sink!

The sink is gorgeous and would be a 5. The tricky part was that it was not clear that the measurements of the sides change since it is curved. I had to reinforce the sink with wood and use chalking. The sink replaced an old one, so I had shopped for a sink with particular measurements.

It is very beautiful! I love it now that it is reinforced.

Ordered a Kohler 22 X 33 inch porcelain kitchen sink to replace a Kohler 22X33 inch SS sink. The sink was not 22 X 33. The sides sloped inward by more than an inch causing it to be too small for the opening.

I was told I would have to pay a $150. 00 return fee. I will not pay that fee because the dimensions where not as advertised.

This is a nice quality sink. We’ve seen some comments voicing concern about the low sink height when using the “P” trap kit. You can ignore those comments as it is simple to fix. The kit comes with a 4″ threaded height adjustment pipe.

If you want to mount your sink higher just purchase a longer threaded iron pipe. You can achieve any desired sink height. We put a 10″ pipe in ours and it worked perfectly.

Really nice sink! This is just the sink so make sure you prefer the “leg” also if you need it. It’s really heavy so not a one person job.

superior quality especially the s. s. trim ring for cleanup the negative is you have buy the ugly floor drain for support and the ONLY drain hole size that fits this sink. might as well bough a sink on legs which defeats the point of WALL HUNG.

Be sure and look at the spec height on this sink! It is beautiful but only 26” tall, well under standard! And there is no obvious notation of it anywhere!

I bought this thinking I could install it horizontally as an undermount. When I opened the box and gave it to my merble guys, we found the drainhole is centered for vertical mount, and the edge is too rounded for undermount applications.

Also take into consideration that this sink is heavy and will need a box built under the cabinet to support it. Beautiful, high quality sink. But description doesnt fit product exactly.

This is our second house in which we put a Kohler sink into our new kitchen. Each sink was a different color but same great look and finish. Solid cast iron and with the Kohler drain and basket look as my wife says “like the kitchen jewelry”.

One of the corners had no finish. If this had not been put in as an undermount, it would have had to be returned. Due to both sides being deep, a disposal cannot be used with this style. It is a beautiful sink!.

We installed this sink as part of a kitchen remodel and let me tell you it is beautiful! So much more so in person than on the website. We were very pleasently suprised by the user friendly low divider and deep sinks, We can wash and rinse almost any size pot or pan.

We installed the disposal on the small sink side and placed that side nearest the dishwasher, it worked out perfectly, This sink is heavy (cast iron, I think) and the enamal is rich. Go see it for yourself at a store but order here for the best price and delivery service.

They had it on a small pallet and packaged very well for shipping. We also purchased the stainless steel inserts for the sink. Well worth the price. Just so you know, I usually do not do reviews, but this product was so good and the service so outstanding, I just had to chime in.

I love this sink. I wanted a sink that drained well as I have had a few modern (boxy) stainless sinks that didn’t and the pooling water bothered me. Not an issue with this sink. It is sloped to the drain and works perfectly.

Love the white and all the accessories included in the price. I ordered the suggested cleaner and it works great for removing surface dirt and what I thought were stains. It has a really nice, smooth finish.

I would definitely buy this sink again.

Although I love the sink and the accessories, the under-mount of the sink proved to be very tricky for the counter installers. Therefore the sink is not entirely flush with the counter, beads of water collect around the sink and the inconsistency of it’s installation forces the accessory pieces to sit irregularly in the sink.

This sink is absolutely beautiful. I was in search of a white under mount cast iron kitchen sink. I specifically only wanted one basin to give me the extra room. This sink is a really nice size and is exactly what I was looking for.

Can’t wait to install when I remodel the kitchen in the next couple months. It will look absolutely gorgeous. Brings the best both worlds to a sink: the beautiful classic look with the the glossy white cast iron and combines it with the more functional, seamless, modern under-mount style.

I like that there isn’t an apron in front. I had been looking online for a white single basin cast iron under-mount sink that was a large enough size and found very few options that checked off all of the boxes.

Came across this one and very happy I did because it checked off all of the wants that I thought I would need to start compromising on. I also love that Miseno has a Limited Lifetime warranty on this product for residential use.

I may even order the smaller bar sink by the same company if I wind up putting in a smaller sink in the island. Overall, a really stunning, quality made sink and would highly recommend.

I ordered this sink for a client’s Modern Farmhouse kitchen remodel. The sink is high quality, heavy (enamel-coated cast iron), a beautiful bright white, and exactly what we were looking for. One minor issue was that there was a slight bow along the front side of the sink (as most sinks are), which itself is not a problem, however the template that came with the sink (for our countertop template folks) shows a completely straight/flat front edge, which does not mirror the bow in the sink.

This was not a problem for our countertop templating and not reason enough to deduct a star.

Looks great in my kitchen. The only thing is I wish it was a little deeper. Water splashes out a little to the counter top when washing huge pots and pans. Other than that, I still like it. Looks expensive but build.

Beautiful sink – looks fresh and sleek but also great quality. Well thought out design – no water pooling in bottom with gentle slope. Was worried because “Kohler white” is sometimes off-white but this is true white.

I have limited counter space so couldn’t fit a huge sink. But I wanted a deep sink to be able to wash pots and pans more easily. This sink is perfect. Not too big of a footprint but plenty deep. It’s Kohler quality, too.

I have a long term tenant in my apartment and the porcelain coating on the old sink started to wear off. I did a lot of checking online and decided on this sink because I wanted another porcelain one and Kohler is a very good name and it has a great warranty.

I ordered by phone and the customer service agent was very helpful. The sink actually arrived earlier than it was delivered, but the installer wasn’t able to get here until the sink was delivered, so that worked out wonderfully.

My tenant was out of the house the day we put in the sink, so that worked out well too. The only thing I was concerned about was that it seemed that there were some black areas on the edges, but we used white caulk so you can’t see that.

My tenant has told me at least three times that she LOVES her new sink. If you could call a sink beautiful, this one actually is.

The sinks enamel finish is very wavy/orange peel. My original white enamel sink was nice and smooth inside. I leveled the mounting area before the install. When I dropped the sink in, it was tippsy. So I put a level on the front and back edge.

The back left side was up almost 1/8″.

I love it. The bowls are much larger than my old Stainless sink. I have a 2. 5 gallon container I make ice tea in and I can actually set it down in the sink. The finish is perfect. With the cast iron you learn quickly, for hand wash run your water VERY hot in the sink.

It will initially cool quickly then hold its temp. The only thing I wish I could have had different, I bought the one hole model. I wish they made one with a second hole on the left side. My faucet came with a soap dispenser and I would like it on the left side.

Its beautiful! AND HEAVY. Advice – have a plan for 3 ppl to install. One person will need to be under the sink stabilizing while the others lower it down in the cabinet. Installed only with my hubs – we got it, but was stressful just the two of us.

But once its in, you won’t be disappointed! Its sleek but farmhouse too.

I replaced all the kitchen appliances when I bought a 50’s ranch with gorgeous cherry cabinets. Put in new flooring. But I still had a tired, old boring SS double sink. When searching for an enamel sink with a little pizzazz, I spotted this and thought “that’s it!” I bought it in black and it makes everything else look great — like Cary Grant in a tux in my kitchen.

I purchased this bathroom sink as a replacement and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Kohler has always been a superior product and this sink is no exception. I called the company and spoke with a very knowledgable representative who confirmed that this sink should fit my existing cutout.

We installed these sinks in our new home 23 years ago. After continuous use, and some abuse with abrasive cleaners, just enough of the finish was marred that we decided to replace them. After 23 years Kohler still has the same part number, size and shape to make the replacement a breeze.

And for a cast iron sink, a great price.

This was installed in a home we purchased and we needed the same sink that was already there but a different color with only one hole for a single faucet so this fit the bill.

We liked the basic look of this sink, but it is incredibly heavy, and required an inordinate amount of prep work to install. On top of that, the front apron is warped and very visibly so, but due to the expense of returning, we decided to live with it.

The sink was purchased in June 2018, installed in Oct 2018, and here we are in February 2019 with lots of problems with the finish. We now have a sink that is scratched, dull, and stained, even though I am using cleaners recommended for cast iron sinks and “non-scratching” scrub pads.

The least little splash of any substance that is not water, will etch splash marks into the surface. There are numerous circular splash marks everywhere, inside and outside of the bowls. I have a 3×6 area on the divider between the bowls that is flaking off.

There are three small brown spots that won’t come out and seem as if they are seeping up from under the finish. This is a kitchen sink for heaven’s sake! It needs to have a finish that will stand up to most kitchen-related substances going down a sink and not etch at the drop of a hat, and it should not have this appearance after a mere 4 months of use.

We have an under-mount installation and it will be a disaster area of work and expense to remove the countertop to replace it, and now we’re faced with refinishing options that may or may not work. 60 year lifespan? I can’t envision this lasting out the year at this rate.

I cannot recommend this sink to anyone.

I waited to review this sink until I had received my SECOND sink and this one is faulty just as the other one was. The apron front is 1/4 inch too high on one side making installation impossible in a cabinet (unless you want a crooked sink.

) While customer service was helpful, the sink is of poor quality. Also the second sink I ordered had 3 chips out of the apron front. Very disappointed as I spent now ~1800 on what I expected to be a quality sink.

Ended up getting one from a different company. Furthermore, I am entirely inconvenienced as the sink was not installed when the countertop templaters were scheduled to come so this mishap has pushed out my renovations several weeks.

FURIOUS!!!.

My husband and I are remodeling our 39 year old kitchen. With a little bit of compromising I got this farm sink I wanted. It is beautiful, deep and looks great with my new cabinets. At first my husband didn’t want to go with a farm sink.

But now I am sure he is glad we did. It looks fabulous.
