20 Best Caster Feats Pathfinder (2022 Updated)

The product looks good and the price is right. Figuring out how to use it presents a problem because there was no information with the item as to installation and spring strength for the initial setting.

My driveway is not level and while I can adjust for the slope I am unsure of the spring travel on the wheel. Fighting a 200 pounds gate and not knowing what the wheel will do makes for a tough installation.

So I recommend that the item come with some installation hints, otherwise it seems to be a great value.

I was looking for a wheel that would support the 180 lb end weight of my swinging gate. The problem with this advertised 220 lb wheel was that the spring fully compressed with only about 80 lbs of force.

I added additional springs to increase the compression force to approximately 160lbs which I deemed acceptable. However, the increase compression caused the hard rubber wheel to develop a flat spot (when left overnight) which made the wheel difficult to roll and likewise open the gate.

works great, just what I was looking for. I built a new gate and needed something to support it and stop it from sagging and came across it in Canadian tire. I am very happy with the ease of installation.

These are the best wheels I have ever found to mount my wood shop machines to period! Everything Kreg that I own is well engineered and built to last, their casters are no exception. I have them on my Jet Sander, my Kreg Router table and my Jet drum sander.

All are heavy weight machines and these wheels roll easily and quietly and when locked do not move. A simple lock and unlock with your foot is all it takes. They are priced right and you will not find a better caster for the price.

The casters are exactly what i was expecting. They work well and are easy to lock and unlock. I would and probably will buy another set in the near future.

I installed this set on a heavy workbench – weighing about 200 lbs. I followed instructions exactly as to how high to mount these. I found that they did not quite lift the bench high enough to move. I had to reinstall them so they raised the bench slightly more.

I am not sure if this is due the the heavy weight of the bench or an error in the instructions. These do lift the bench, just barely enough to more. It takes quite a bit of effort to actually lift this heavy a bench.

May have helped if the leavers were a bit longer to give more leverage. Overall the quality seems good, and they are heavy duty.

The heads of the included screws strip easily. It’s a major inconvenience. Lag bolts should be used instead. Whoever designed this never attached it to a bench with thick legs unless the legs were made of balsa wood.

I installed my casters on my workbenches and they work great. Instead of the recommended height, I raised them 1/4″ so that when they are in the lowered position the wheels tuck in under the bracket and are less of a tripping hazard.

They still have 1/2″ of lift, so all is good.

I’m pleasantly surprised the quality and price of these casters. I am 65 year old Grandma and furniture is much to heavy and bulky for me to move. By installing 4 casters on my large bedroom dresser, 4 on the matching tall chest of drawers, I can now easily move myself to clean and/or re-arrange the furniture (No, I do not have carpet).

I also installed the last 4 on my 47″Lx20″D kitchen island. All casters work perfectly and are extremely sturdy. I plan to buy more to install on my extra large sofa, matching chair and much more. My family is happy and no longer worry about me trying to move furniture and so am I.

These casters make it easy to move my planters around once they have garden soil and plants in place.

We needed a set of casters to use for under a two large chest freezers. They needed to be very easy to move and also able to move over various surfaces. They fit this application in every aspect we are able to move two fully loader chest freezers with ease.

Look made for old office chairs with all the aesthetics and shortcomings of the good old days. Perfect look, not friendly with carpet.

Works good, wheel locks in position when the brake is applied. Would like to have grease fittings for longer wear.

These work great and are easy to install. I used them on a metal framed work bench so I needed to pick up some sheet metal screws. Makes it a whole lot easier to reposition a heavy work bench. Casters are very smooth and work well.

The product comes with a template and tools. All you need is a drill and a screwdriver. I bought 2 sets. Took me a 20 minutes to install all 4 casters on one workbench. On the other, I had to make a notch because they had feet that were not flush withe the legs.

Also, you may want to consider putting the casters on the inside if the legs if you don’t want them to stick out, but they will be a bit harder to press down.

I read the reviews on this an the only negative ones where about not coming with hardware. After research all the alternatives I purchased 2 of the locking and 6 none locking for my two workbench steel cabinets.

I went to a local mom and pop hardware that has all kinds of hard to find hardware. These take 1/2 22 TPI nuts. Not a box store item but not that hard to find either. To make a long story short after purchasing these casters and spending a few bucks at a hardware store I got a heavy duty set of casters installed for less than half the price of what I would have spent.

Rubber Swivel Caster wheels are durable. I used it on my metal tool box and it worked perfect. The weight of the tool box did not affect the movement of the wheels. The wheels move at ease with no issues.

The compact size was a perfect height. I highly recommend the Rubber Swivel Caster.

These things are awesome. They are truly adjustable, locks in place and easy to install. I have NO COMPLAINTS. It remains to be seen how they impact the high end vinyl flooring I’m having installed.

These are just what I needed for my Hollywood bed frame. Makes the bed high enough to be able to store stuff under it. Solid adjustable height!! Now when my son comes to visit he’s got a solid bed. Those dinky short casters are gone!.

Bought these for my adjustable bed to make 2 twins the same height. I had to sand down plastic insert piece for my bed, but it worked fine after I did that. Good quality and workmanship. You need to sets for each bed.

Castor frame and bolt spindle built heavy enough to hold rated load. However wheel hubs welded only on one side. Wheel sides pressed from extremely thin metal and warp with any lateral pressure. Same cheap wheels being sold as replacements for garden carts and dollies.

Oh and only one out of six doesn’t leak air.

Please, Harbor Freight, correct your terms used in describing this, as it is NOT A CASTER, it’s just a wheel. A caster swivels, and this does not. This review is based on initial impression. time will tell how well it actually performs.

I bought a pair of these and a pair of matching casters (#63799) to use in building an “all-terrain” welding cart. The #63799 casters have Zerk fittings at both the swivel as well as the hub, but these don’t even have Zerk fittings at the hub.

I’ll have to drill and tap to install some before the welding cart build. Some of the tube valve stems are very crooked and I’ll need to deflate the tires to reposition them properly prior to use. My experience with these lower quality Chinese tubes is that they inevitably leak air.

I’ll add some tire sealant and see if that helps reduce or eliminate that issue. It appears these are well built and should stand up to what I need. The welds are sturdy with good penetration.

I bought two of these wheels to go on the flat cart I mounted my new Napoleon Grill to. I initially tried using four swivel wheels, but that made my cart hard to steer. I switched two of the swivel wheels out for two of the rigid caster wheels and now my cart rolls smooth, even over the uneven ground in my back yard.

These wheels were a good value.

These carpet casters have a more narrow wheel width and larger diameter than the one I had to replace after 20yrs because I carelessly broke it. The quality of these Futura Casters is still the same and fit perfect into the base.

At this high price, I wish I could’ve found better.

I like to keep these is the house just in case they are needed. They are great replacements for when one breaks on a tv stand, mircowave cart or basiclly anthing that can use these wheels. They are durable and hold the weight without bending or breaking.

There isn’t much you could do with just one wheel. You need a package that has at least 2 wheels for anything you might need wheels for. One wheel maybe a replacement, but other than that, I can’t think of why you would need only one wheel.

Using these on a portable 2×4 ft work cart I made for my router table. Under-shelves are used to store tool cases. etc, so the overall weight can be 150-200 pounds. These casters easily handle that on my concrete floor, making is easy to move.

The rubber wheels are smooth with little to no sound. The locking mechanisms are easy to lock, but a bit harder to unlock (a good feature, I think). The wheels are somewhat heavy and appear to be well made.

They are great! I would have preferred for there to be “locks” on all four casters. I am using the casters on a older Craftsman band saw. (1950’s). I wanted to raise the height a little. This saw is a bit top heavy and 4 locking casters would have given me a little more peace of mind.

Roll really smoothly and work as advertised. I actually paired the two swivel/break casters with two non-swivel casters from the same manufacturer. My new planer cart moves happily to/from where it needs to be.

Bought these at the suggestion of Union & Scale support because the casters that came with my Kroy chair didn’t work well on a floor mat. These casters work equally well on carpet, hardwood floors and chair mats, and IMO should have been included in the box with the chair in the first place.

Sigh. At least I got the Kroy chair on sale.

i have veneer flooring and got the Hyken mesh office chair for WFH. the wheels came with the chair was for carpet. Swapping it out was super straight forward, just pop out the old ones and snap the new ones in.

it’s super smooth compared to the original wheels. Great value, it’s the cheaper option on staples but this does not feel cheaply built at all!.

Thanks for the Casters, but I am disabled and have not had any help replacing the hard to roll casters yet. I am sure they are fine – and thanks again 🙂
