I have hardwood floors and I have always used a plastic floor protector behind my work desk so I would not mark up the floors. Unfortunatly the floor protectors do not provide enough room for me and I occasionally role off the plastic protector.
This has happened more offten than not leaving marks on the floor where I role off the plastic. So I decided to give these casters a try. What a great product! They are so smooth and leave no marks on the hardwood since they are polyurethane.
They are like rollerblade wheels and are so easy to install. I poped out the old hard plastic ones and popped the new ones in. It took less than 5 minutes. After giving them a try, I emediately through out the old weels and the plastic floor protector.
Now, I can roll all over the office! I don’t want to leave the chair!.
I absolutely LOVE my Rollerblade Casters. I work from home and also run a small craft business. Going from table to desk on regular caster wheels in my carpeted office was a struggle. With the Rollerblade Casters, I glide through my office with such ease.
The only thing I don’t like is that I will just turn in my chair and can slide away from my desk or table which is not what I want to do. Also, it lifts my chair up 1 1/2″ higher so my chair has to be down on the lowest setting otherwise I can’t sit under my desk.

These are designed exclusively for “euro-style” chairs. Use these 2-3/16″ diameter casters with hard wheels on carpeting. Weight rating is 100 lb per caster. Casters include 7/16″ x 7/8″ B stems and 3/8″ x 1″ K stems.
They worked because as shipped they take the guess work out of which size stem to use/order since the product ships with a set of each size. I thought they were a bit pricey but it would have taken about 2 weeks to get a set from the chair manufacturer and when I ordered these I needed them NOW, not later.
By the way, the shipping was fast, on the week days, it’s overnight. The price from the manufacturer would have been less but not worth the wait. If needed, I would order these again and I would also recommend them to someone that has a heavy duty chair with a metal base like my chair.
Also, these are specifically for chairs with a metal base which means you probably need castors with the metal clip attached to the stem, these came with the metal clip. My only gripe is that the wheel diameter is smaller than the original equipment wheel diameter.
It makes it a bit harder to roll around. I use a floor mat on top of carpet.

Wheels are good only problem is trying to get chairs that do not have the correct size opening for the wheel to go into to fit. This was the 4th set of wheels I ordered and finally got them to work.

I got this product free to test. I was surprised to only see one caster though. I don’t believe you can give an accurate review of this product without having multiple casters. You can’t really see if it leaves marks or not.

Perhaps it is not the casters fault, as my tiny chest of jewelry drawers is very lightweight, perhaps not even 20 lbs. The casters installed easy enough, but the tiny chest will not roll with them, even on the smoothest of floors.
The wheels stick to the floor, and a sliding motion occurs, instead of a rolling motion. They do not swivel in unison. Then, it tips. A bit sad. Ah well.
I’ve used many of these Shepherd casters on rolling plant stools in our plant room. This 1 5/8 wheel ones are now hard to find. I am glad that Hardware and Tools carries them. However, I bought 16 casters and one of them had a tight wheel.

Put them in my little shop 2foot stool to sit on to work. After 2 hours use the ball bearings fell out and I fell to the ground and banged my head on my tractor I was working on. Return all 4. My opinion not a good item.
I ordered this product online, i was very excited to receive because i have been waiting to get my little red wagon on the road again for years. It all started when i was just a little boy i loved that wagon so much, i took it everywhere; to the park, to school, i even took it to the dentist.
So you can imagine my disappointment when i opened up the package to find it COMPLETELY RUSTED!!!!! My childhood wagon dreams have been crushed once again and its all canadian tires fault I 100% will never look to canadian tire to fulfill my needs.

Years ago I purchased Gaiam ball chairs for my wife and I to use at our kitchen table. When we started working from home those chairs went into high use mode. I started seeing wear marks in the newly refinished wood floors from the cheap-ass plastic wheels the chairs come with.

I spent a lot of money getting my ideal office chair that I could sit in all day long in perfect comfort. I picked the right one and it was truly wonderful. However, my office has a carpeted floor and the rest of the floor is hardwood.

I bought these in advance of having my hardwood floors in my house refinished. I am a quilter. I am constantly moving my chair between sewing machines and a cutting mat/ironing station and my desk with my laptop on it.
These wheels make the movement between the stations so smooth. My husband installed these for me. Initially he used a glove to grip the old wheel and firmly pull, as suggested. That wasn’t super successful.
So, he got a hammer and used the claw end which hooked on the wheel and easily pulled it out of the socket. FYI: If your floor isn’t level your chair will glide on its own. even when you are still in it.

I put these wheels on my tubber ware box for my dogs dry food. I screwed them on very easily , and it was ready to go in minutes. The wheels are durable and the box moves easily and turns even easier.

I received this about a month ago and was waiting to write my review til I figured out what project it would go on and to use it and I’m glad to say, I’m very happy with it! This is a sturdy, strong swivel caster wheel that is very smooth when it rolls.
I will probably end up changing the purpose of it but for now it is being used in a pull out bin in the bottom of my pantry and is very convenient that way. I have a bin of heavier stuff and now I can easily pull the bin out from under the shelf and get what I need.
The only downside and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would have been perfect if it had a way to lock it in place. But since the bin is against a wall in my pantry, it’s not such a big deal and I’m still very pleased with it.
I haven’t attached this caster yet and am not sure if it will work for my project but it seems to be sturdy and very strong. It also seems to move smoothly. It was just quite a lot larger then I expected because unfortunately I am not good at figuring out and visualizing dimensions when reading on- line measurements.
But if you are looking for something heavy duty, it looks like this should work.

Real game changer. These castors glide really well, just like roller blades and they hopefully won’t damage the laminate flooring like traditional castors do. They are higher than other castors so I will need a footrest but that’s a small price to pay for a shortie like me.

These wheels are great for reducing the noise from standard chair castors. If you use a chair on hard wooden floors then you MUST buy these. Not only does the chair glide across the floor the noise from the chair moving is eliminated.
