Great esc so far. No complaints what so ever on performance. Stays cool too, small enough to fit in an 1/8 scale truggy. Not crazy about the switch and the non apple pc only programming. (You can buy the blue tooth link for your phone for another 50$).

Programming can be done with your transmitter but its very limited. Battery wires are short so you will most likely need to build a harness with an extra connection.

The mm8s is the best powerful ESC out next to the xxl2 I recommend any rc speed runner to get this

Dont fall for the BS business owners trying to charge an arm and a leg these things will be available in abundance in just a week or so otherwise it is a good product!

This is a phenomenal set. The option of three different models is the hallmark of the Creator series of sets. It gives tremendous flexibility for your build. It should be noted that because this falls in the Creator line of sets that the bag numbers will not be in sequence as they are with other more static sets where only one build is illustrated in the instructions.

Because of this it may be a good idea to build this set, regardless of which of the 3 you choose, on a table or similar large surface. You may find it necessary to sort out the pieces so you can find them easier.

We assembled the second model, the watch tower and it is quite large. Nearly 2 feet tall. It has some issues with stability because of this so make sure you press the pieces together tightly. Otherwise it’s excellent.

We assembled it on a plate purchased here that had a river for authenticity. As a result we have tons of extra pieces for other builds. Lego made a great set and gave us some ideas for other things as well.

If you’re buying this for someone under the age of 10 consider joining in as it can frustrate some younger kids.

I built this with my Lego enthusiast 10 year old. He’s an avid builder. We built the main castle and got off to a rocky start. Our only complaint is that the foundation is weak. We ended up using a base to build on to make it more stable and prevent the floor from break.

Otherwise, it was lots of fun to build. It took us 5 hrs taking turns. My son said their were a lot of pieces he d never seen which excited him. It’s truly a nice set. We’ll hold onto the books in case we decide to build one of the other 2.

Right now we’re just admiring.

What can you say, really. They’re LEGO! Kids had a great time putting the many elements together. The drawbridge works, the dragon is positionable, lots of things to play with. Throw in characters from other sets, and we have Jedi, clones, ninjago ninjas and wizards landing on medieval planets to battle knights and slay dragons.

I’ve attempted to connect via Bluetooth to this device using 3 different Android devices. None of them will connect. Note 9. Google Pixel XL and an older junk drawer Motorola. It’s visible under the Bluetooth devices but it says it must be opened with the App.

Well guess what. the App won’t connect to it. I borrowed an iOS device (no idea what generation) and it connected just fine. Now if I want to make changes I need to go buy some old crummy iPhone. Disappointed at best.

Very dissatisfied as I was told that this would work for my Traxxas Xmaxx stock esc and motor using the CC BEC 2. 0 WP. It does not work with Traxxas stock electronics, but the basic programming version does.

Works awesome, being able to change settings on the fly is fantastic! Only down fall is the cost! $50 is a bit steep, but hasnt stopped me from buying two of them!

My kids and I had a great time with this set! My 13 year old didn’t like that there weren’t the typical step by step instructions like the building toys he’s used to playing with, but my 4-year old and I enjoyed putting it together by ourselves.

Once it was built, both of my boys enjoyed playing it together. They especially like the catapult and the drawbridge. My 4 year old is very into knights and castles right now so this was perfect for him.

He lives playing with the knights and horses and making them joust. This set caused us to use our creativity and play together as a family. We all really enjoyed building and playing with this set!.

I own many Castle Creations ESC products, but this one never even made it to the road. The “cogging” started first pull of the trigger. Within 2 minutes of trying to get it to work it overheated the motor and esc.

The “sensored” motor was supposed to eliminate cogging altogether. On a lighter note though, Castle Creations shipped out a brand new combo to me to replace the messed up one without me returning the bad one until I get the new one.

Hopefully it was just 1 bad one, but look at videos on YouTube before buying anything electronic.

After overheating the stock system, I made the jump. Just like very one online said. You wont be disappointed. Still surprised me and everyone I show it to how violent it can be

I put this into a heavily modified Traxxas Summit. High speed bashing is amazing, this thing has so much power. This ESC has the Crawler/Race mode and the Auxiliary wire allows you to switch right from the Transmitter.

Amazing ESC and motor.

The older CC BEC’s are not as good. When CC created the 2. 0 series, they made them a lot stouter than the older designs and they definitely hold up well even when running them hard. They cost more for really good reasons.

The 2.0 BEC absolutely worth the money small in size very powerful and you can adjust the output voltage

Im a big fan of Castle so I wanted to get their updated external bec. It works great as expected but I must say I wish it didnt take up the extra plug on the rx.

installed this on my trx4 to power the (savox 1230) servo only by using a holmes hobbies adaptor. the other 3 servos run off the stock esc. it comes with two power outputs, use one to power the servo, and the other to power lights or winch.

(a castle rep said that on a forum). so far it is working okay, i only have a couple runs on it. hardest part was soldering the main power leads to the battery connector.

Super great BEC. I just wish you could lower the battery cut off. It cuts off at 3.5v per cell for lipos

It works great definitely waterproof I ran it through a bunch of water holes wide open no problems highly recommended

The best. I hv both now the 160hvf, and Talon 90hv with fan option. You can save weight with the newer Talon 90 however, the 160hvf is still the strongest power esc to this day still and its 2018 as of this post/review.

“The Best” HV.

I had to give this a 5 star because I am using it in a 1/10th scale crawler that is about 7 pounds and I run it pretty hard. So a little outside of its intended use. The torque and response on this system is nothing less than amazing and I dont think you will be disappointed with that.

In my application (not what its recommended for) the esc did heat up a little in just a couple minutes. So I ran it for about 3-4 minutes on my backyard course and checked the temps. The motor was normal but the tiny esc was warm and about 115 degrees.

I know thats not hot but it was on a cool night 50 degrees and also very little run time. So I installed a BEC to take that load off and put an external fan on the esc. I can run as hard as I want to now and it is awesome the amount of power it has.

First real run out with my friends and it snapped the 3 screws that mount my ring gear to the axle locker (scx10. 2). Yes I would buy again and I would go ahead and get a fan and BEC to help keep it cool.

great sensored brushless combo for 1/10 rc crawlers , with great crawling capability. this is my 4th combo set , upgrading my C1 C2 C3 scale crawlers when I can

Very good and reliable product, I own about 3 of these systems, they are my go to for older monster trucks and crawlers.

CC ESC’s are IMO, the best affordable ESC’s on the market. Of these, the Talon series is their gold standard and will not let you down as long as you stay within their parameters. Always check your current draw with a good watt meter to be sure you are using the correct size ESC.

Remember, if you try to push too many watts for the ESC to handle, then down she comes!.

I buy quality. When I started with electric planes, I would read about the many people who had faulty issues with stock ESCs. I got into the habit of replacing with Castle. I have never had one issue with their stuff.

I was waiting for their 60amp Talon and I have 2 now.

This is a great link set. Once you download the programs you need on your computer,it’s a great tool to adjust your esc. I got this for my holmes hobbies brxl esc and it works fantastic for it. It was exactly what I needed to adjust all the parameters on my esc for my comp crawler.

I highly recommend this if you want to try different adjustments on your esc (if it’s compatible). I highly recommend this to anyone.

I’ve been in and out of electrics through the years and I recently obtained an electric helicopter after over a decade of absence from electrics in general. The model came with a Castle Creations ESC which I discovered wouldn’t talk to the old USB programmer I have had for years.

So. I had to buy a new one. Naturally, they were on backorder but finally became available again and once i received it, have had no more problems making adjustments to the new ESC. The system works very well and I’m much happier with the model now that I’ve been able to fine tune certain parameters.

Castle helped me through using this and it turned out to be easy peasy. Installed automatic when all the parameters were installed.

An excellent game that allows you to go wherever you see in the game. Graphics are on the high side, similar to the graphics a player would see in Far Cry 3, Mass Effect Andromeda and The Witcher 3. The music sound track is excellent and is similar to orchestral / classical music.

Having a non-linear questline, there are many side quests and much to explore; there are over 250 quests which includes some infinitely repeatable side quests. A few of the quests cause the player to make some heart wrenching choices, some of which are corrected through mods (more on that a little later).

This edition allows the player to add player created mods that can add several 100 extra quests, additional sound tracks, improved graphics, textures and changed gameplay: even to the point of restoring significant / cut game content, correcting glitches of all types and making the game more realistic and enjoyable.

The major notable downsides of this Mods feature is that the mods must be kept in a logical order (which must be maintained and learned of only through careful research w/ a limit on (a) certain type(s) of mods)) which becomes increasingly complex as the number of mods increases (or the game will freeze up) and the console versions of this game variant is limited by thetotal number of mods and the total size of the mods (5 GB Total Mod Limit for xBox One & 2 GB Total for PS4 & 150 Total Max Mods).

Additionally, the PS4 Game version does not allow the use of external assets, greatly decreasing the variety of content that can be added.

Good morning, if you’re looking for a high quality dependable esc for your RC model, this is it. I’ve used the Talon HV 120A ESCs in a number of RC plane and have never had any issues with them. I also highly recommend Motion RC.

Their deliveries are fast and their customer support is second to none. Great products, superb customer service, what more could you ask for.

Got this ESC and installed it as per the instructions on the box. I needed weight up front to balance plane so installed the ESC at the bottom of the engine box. Everything fit perfect. As per the instructions soldered the bullet connectors to the motor wires and inserted into the ESC.

Got one good flight of 4 minutes. The second flight right out of doing a stall tried to pull out and there was no power just a strange noise from motor. The plane crashed and was destroyed. Upon inspection found the wires to the ESC were now very loose and one had come out , this is why the strange noise motor was trying to run on 2 legs instead of 3.

Found a tech tip after when i was searching for an answer. Seems Castle has known about this and still had not put warning in with there product which costed a plane.

Works good. Seems a little overrated on the ESC amperage. Feels more like a 100 amp rather than a 120amp. Otherwise it is built solid and easy to setup with the USB link.

Much easier, especially if your FBL connectors are tough to get at. I wish that there were shorter leads, as I wasn’t looking for an extension. With that much xtra wire, I am a little worried about using the BEC from the Talon.

I just recently started using my IKON Gov instead of the CC gov. With this setup, I won’t need to connect to the ESC to change headspeeds, so I will not be using the quick connect with this setup anymore.

Great tool that allows for easy access to the information on the ESC without fighting to plug into the ESC. I have mine connected in a way that allows me to easily plug in and get the information without taking apart my heli.

Easy to install and makes programming of your ESC easier. Once installed you no longer have to unplug throttle cable every time you want to make changes, which can be a hassle if you hot glue your leads to RX and FBL.

There are mixed reviews about this kit and I too must give a mixed review. This kit is designed to be as modular as possible to allow different castle designs to be built on the modeler’s whim. With that in mind, this kit has almost no alignment holes, slots or pegs (probably by design) so no part lines up except with your patience and steady hands.

The residual sprue ‘nubs’ must be trimmed off the beveled pieces so the parts will join together properly. Some wall parts have to be end-butted together to make a larger piece (adding height to a tower for example) and this is best accomplished by adding reinforcement strips of plastic sheet (Evergreen or Plastruct styrene) and gluing them across the two butted pieces, forming a lamination which will strengthen the glued joints immensely.

The “architecture” of this kit is better than the Zvezda castles with a more realistic brick pattern of alternating brick sizes and they made a better attempt at making the machicolations and battlements look authentic.

The operating features are less in number with only operating main doors and a movable portcullis but I plan to create a winch to raise and lower the drawbridge just like the Zvezda kit(s). I recommend Testors liquid cement with the needle applicator–apply glue to both surfaces, wait 20-30 seconds for the plastic to get softened, then mash the pieces together.

Any dissolved plastic that oozes from the joint can be trimmed after it dries. This method gives you the most time to adjust the pieces for proper alignment.

The Miniart 1/72 Medieval Castle builds into a reasonable replica of a generic military style castle. It features a drawbridge, five watch towers and a living area and courtyard. I have to say the model is NOT for the beginner modeler as it requires some adjustments to fit the parts together well.

All the joints are either butt joins or mitre joins with no locating pins. Filler will be required as well as plastic model glue. There is a lot of plastic in the box which is surprisingly heavy. Even though I have caveats about the kit it is much cheaper than the similiar Zvezda castle kit and therefore more affordable.

It will work with either 1/72 figures or 28mm wargaming figures.

It is a lot of model for your money. It is very modular so there are possibilities for modifying the design. I had to add extra cardboard braces for the towers, and some of the pieces needed cleaning up.

It mostly fitted together fairly well. Tip: I mixed acrylic paint with polyfilla and PVA to make a lovely rough matt surface on the stonework.

These worked great on my Helijive. Very easy to solder and set up. I advise you not to overflow the solder. It will leak beyond the connector. Buy another pack or 2 just in case you mess up.

They work exactly as they should, great for larger helis. I use on 500 and 700.

The parts were all cleanly molded and generally fit together well. The instructions were clear, and construction of the separate sections of the castle went smoothly. Some sanding was required to get a close fit between several of the separate sections.

The part which serves as the ground between sections of the castle required some cutting and filing. Adding LEDs for lighting was simple thanks to the design of the model.

very intuitive easy to program because you use your computer, not like others that you have to program with the transmitter, do not even get warm running on 2 6s batteries @ 51 volts with a very powerful motor demanding a lot of juice, i really recommend this product.

I have been using Castle since the start of my heli flying. I love how easy they are to setup, the bailout is awesome (I dislike timers on some other brands).

Female side went together very well. Nice and tight. The male side is just a bad design. Bullet connectors won’t snap into plastic. They are loose and can wobble around. I thought I was doing something wrong.

Kept pushing down on them but no “snap in ” like the male side. I’m going to stick with xt90 connectors from now on. Expected better from castle creations and these are expensive.

I know a lot of people don’t use these and they go to the EC5’s instead. But I’m thinking of changing all of my EC5’s to these because these connectors feel stronger, thicker, and safer. Also A LOT easier to solder on and connect the connector into the plug.

Overall, worth the extra like $1. 50 for these than EC5’s. Also, these connectors are also a lot easier to make them tighter our looser to connect by taking a screwdriver or something to adjust it to the tightness you want.

Perfect connectors for my Kraken 700 KSE. A lot better than EC5s to solder and unsolder.

It works great. It is of fine quality. However it is a hassle to solder on your own connectors, but I suppose that makes it have universal adaptation.

This bec from castle is garbage! 20 bucks wasted! This lasted 2 runs on 3s in a 2wd slash with a savox sw-0231 servo with a castle mmp esc. Just quit working in the middle of the 3rd run with it hooked up! Do not recommend.

Get a better quality ubec elsewhere!.

I use Castle products in all my rc cars. This product works great to power my high voltage servos. You can adjust the voltage you need via a Castle Link and program. Note: it will not give off more than what your battery can produce.

If you want more, you’d have to buy a voltage step up module.
